Uh, my name's Emma. I'm Meredith. And this is Tis the Season. Young Royals. Episode four. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Um, so Emma literally told her dog to stop breathing. I did. It was unintentional if he could record. Um he's kind of wild in today. He just ran out and then randomly came back in with a bone, and he's not even using it. And now he's just sitting like in the middle of our and now he's running away. I don't know what he's doing. He's literally uncracked today. I did I did figure out how to remove like background noise. Oh, okay. So it's okay. Okay. It's just hard to ignore him. But he's just like everywhere today. So hopefully I can't sizing out. So hopefully I can get most of the background noise out. Um, but he's like panting and we were trying to start, but then what the actual F is he doing? He just leaked something off the couch. I don't know what that was, but anyways, he's on hi. Okay, I guess he's gonna lay down now. Oh, thank god. Oh yay! Anyways, we'll just ignore him. Um so if you hear us randomly laughing or something, it's probably because of him. But we figured it out. Um, and last week I was talking about my acid reflux. I don't think it's acid reflux. Um, I think I had improper technique while singing. So she's back to her coffee drinking. I am. I figured that out last night at rehearsal, and I was like, oh! Cause then it was like immediate relief. And I was like, wow, so I'm just a dumbass. Um no. So I gotta let I gotta let that shit heal a little bit. So I might be trying to talk more like calm today than I usually do. Okay. So I can go like Valley Girl or something. Not Valley Girl, but I'm gonna let it be. I'm not gonna talk as loud as I usually do. Okay, because I usually I feel like I'm so curious to hear this. I feel like I usually talk very loud. Okay. Do I I don't know. I feel like So you don't listen to me? No. Bitch. I don't feel like you talk loud. Like Okay. Today I'm just gonna like try and like take it easy. Okay. Should we both just should we both just be like relaxed, Mir? No, I feel like people would hate me. Okay, I'll I'll be crazy today. You can just sit in the you can just sit there and be like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't think that'll work, but I don't think that's how it's gonna work. We'll figure it out real fast. We will this episode trying to trying to watch this episode was a fucking struggle. Oh my god. Okay, okay, so Netflix does this thing, well, like mine does it too. It it every once in a while. On the TV, it won't load. It'll get stuck at like 25%. And it'll start playing in the background, but it won't like load the picture. Yeah, and so I'm like, what the fuck? So then I tried it on my phone, and it was instantly, and I was like, Well, I guess I'll just get my laptop. So we we tried it for like 20 minutes. We didn't figure it out pretty quickly. And I kept turning the TV off, like logging out, resetting it. Nothing was working. We even tried downloading the episode on your phone, yeah. And it didn't even like that. No, it didn't TV. So eventually, after those yeah, good 20 minutes, we ended up just uh using my laptop, which is fine. It was still like a decent work picture, you know. It worked, it did work. Um, we didn't watch on my phone, so that was at least good. But uh we didn't get to watch it on the big screen, so that was a little uh depressing. It's okay. We still we still got through it though, yeah. So I'm excited about this episode. There's a lot of that Me too. A lot happens, yes, and it happens a lot earlier than I thought it did. Yes, like every time I watch this, because like I've talked about this before, I've watched this show so many times, and I feel like every time I always miss stuff. Like I I don't know what it is. Like, there's certain scenes I don't remember, or I remember it happening later, earlier than what mine happened. A lot of these scenes I thought happened later on, but then you said this there's only like six to eight episodes per season. So like technically halfway, so it's like yeah, it makes sense that it would happen now, but I don't know. Some it got lost somewhere in my head. So episode four, woo! Let's let's get into it. We're excited, but everybody else is not excited. Uh Wilhelm just lost his brother. We saw him at the funeral. Quite depressing, very depressing, because the first scene he walks in is just him by himself. They're like, hey, we gotta go, we gotta go. And he's like, No, just leave me, just leave me. And he's like touching the dirt on top of the casket. I was like, oh my god. No, it's it's really sad. It's incredibly sad. And he's also trying his hardest, like, not to cry in front of everyone. Cause I mean he has to put on a whole like facade. But like, why do you have to put on a facade if your brother died? Like, I feel like it should be a royal family, you know. I don't care, it should be okay to cry. I know, but like it's so ridiculous. You don't have to be I don't know why they're trying to be so stoic. Like, even the mom's crying. Yeah. So I don't understand why, you know, but that's also just him as a character, I feel like he's just like, I don't I don't want to cry in front of all these people. Yeah, I I feel like you're right. But uh yeah, so I'm just like, he just looks so lost in this entire scene. Yes, like there's just no thoughts there because I feel like he doesn't know what to think. I exactly, and then when they're like carrying the casket out, he's like, Oh, I guess I gotta follow them out. Yeah. And the entire time he's walking down, like after the casket, he's just very like his eyes are very glassy. Yeah. Like he's definitely very emotional, but he's like not in not in the scene. He's not there. Like he's just going through the motions, and as we're seeing this, it's cutting to other people watching it. Yeah, as it's all happening. And Simone is texting him, like, hey, are you okay? I'm really worried about you. Like, I haven't heard from you. Everybody else is watching and crying. Yeah. Like, I mean, this is a huge deal. It is. I don't know. In my head, I I kind of forget that like, oh, Eric was like the crown prince. Yes. Like, in all that royalty stuff, that's a huge ass deal that he just died. And he had so many friends still at the school. Yeah. And people cared about him. Exactly. Friend-wise or just country-wise, you know. Right. So everyone's very emotional. And when someone was texting Wilhelm, he called him Willie. Yeah. I said, Oh my god, my heart. No, I literally broke my heart starting off like that. And as soon as we're done with the funeral, his family wasted no time trying to get right down to business. Yes. And this part pisses me off so much. Because you know, they wanted him away so badly. Yeah. Eric was crying friends. They're like, we want you away, you're doing bad. Like, right. Like you're a bad example of everything. They're like, uh, I think it'd be better if you're back home now. Um, I think you know, you should get to know how to do this, this, this, this, right. They like his mom walks in here and she was like, Oh, I was thinking, like, it would be so good for you to sit in on the meeting tomorrow night to kind of see how things go. I'm like, let the kid breathe. This is literally he's like what, 16, 17? Yeah. Like he is literally a child. And I'm also just like, you guys just threw him away like he was trash, and now you want him back. Now you want him back after you already said that he was setting a bad example and he needs to learn. And I'm like, you're only doing this because you have no other options. Literally. Like, and his dad was like, Oh yeah, that's a great idea. Like, you know, he needs to be in a familiar environment, blah blah blah. And he's just sitting there and he's just very like, hmm, hmm. Mm-hmm. Like, and his and his mom, they're just not, I don't I don't even know. Like, they're just trying to get right down the business. As if that's like there's that's all there is. Right, as if this like insane tragedy didn't just happen to their family, right? And I guess I understand because they're just like, oh, let's get over it, let's go over it. Like, yeah, but at the same time, that's your kid. And then she breaks down crying. She's like, I'm so sorry. Like, babes, why are you sorry? That's literally a child, that's your child, yeah, and he died. It's okay. Yeah, it's okay to like take a moment to breathe. I mean, I guess it's different for royal families, but like I also f I also forgot that she was the one that was in the royal family. The husband married in. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I forgot about that too. Yeah, and that's another that's another thing that she was like, now it's your job to keep the family line going. You and your children are gonna succeed me. And he's like, he's like, oh crap. He's like, man, this gay thing ain't gonna work out. And then and then he they're also like oh man. They're also like, you know, everyone's gonna compare you to Eric now, and you know, you can't make any more mistakes. And I'm like, bro, you've already been doing that. Like you've already And he said that too, I believe. And that's when she started breaking down crimes and she's like, oh shh, yeah. He's like, well, you guys have already been doing that. Like, she's like, I'm so sorry. You you asshole. You literally did it to yourself. Yeah, and I was like, I wrote down my notes, I was like, they're just like very selfish. I know, they're just very selfish. All all they care about is like, oh, we gotta keep the family line going, you know, nothing else. Um, like I I I I totally understand, I don't, but I understand. But give him time. Give give some purpose and time, and mind you, you're both still alive right now, so you can give him a little bit of time to just breathe. They're like and then they can figure stuff out. And they're probably in their what, like 50s? Yeah. Like you're not gonna die tomorrow. But also they didn't think their son was gonna die and he was only in his 20s. That's true. So you know Okay. That was stupid of me to say. So I understand, yeah, of course. I I understand too. Um, but I feel like they could also just be okay. They could just like let it chill out for a hot second. Yeah, but they don't, no. But then we get to the next scene, and August finally sends some money. Some. Some 500. 500. I forget their Kronos. Yeah, their currency is, yeah. I think it's that. I think it's chronos. Yeah, but it sends up 500 of that, which is like one tenth of what he needs. Exactly. Cause he one needs to pay back his dad. And then the school. And then the school for the tutoring. And he the school, he owes the school like 5,500 kronas. Mm-hmm. That's not even a little down. That's nothing. So that he he's still he's still on that struggle bus, but I'm surprised August did it at all. Did it at all, yeah. Like that that shocked me. Exactly. And then and then the mom, Simone's mom, sees the payment reminder for the tutoring and she's like, What is this? Uh, what the hell is this? And Simone's like, Oh, well, I gotta see on my on my math test, and she's like, Okay, study hard. Yeah. She's like harder, bro. She's basically telling him, she's like, you can't pay your way through life. And he's like, basically. He's like, I know that, I know that. And she's like, do you think look at this? Look what you just did. And then she just kept asking, she's like, How are you gonna pay for this? How do you pay for it? He's like, uh, uh, whatever. He's like, Oh, I got taken care of. Yeah, and she's like, and she's like, No, how are you paying for this? Because we can't pay for this, we can't afford it. And she knows he doesn't have a job. No, for real. Why doesn't he have a job? That's a great question. I was wondering that why doesn't he have a job?
SPEAKER_02I mean Or Sarah.
SPEAKER_01I don't I feel like they have time for a job. Or maybe she I don't know if she works. I don't think she works at the stable. She just does it. She just does it for activity, she just does it for like fun. Yeah, I think. Because she enjoys it. Huh. So they don't have jobs. They don't have jobs. Which I feel like they easily could. Because they're commuting students, so they have but they would have to do it. And there's a bunch of dare I say rich people around that would easily hire them for something. Exactly. Whether it be like yard work or Or they I feel like they could even like work at the school. Yeah. Like a cafe or so. I don't know. Anything. Like, could they not work at the school and then get free tuition if they just worked at the school? I mean, that's how universities work. That's true. I don't know. I don't know if I don't know how schools work like that. I've never I mean, I don't know. I you know I've never been to a school. I know about you, but I've never been to a boarding school. Yeah, me either, so I've been rich, so I don't know. But anyway, anyway. Then August gets told he's like by uh Vilhelm's mom. She's like, hey, you need to watch out for Vilhelm because he's coming back. And that's like a huge deal. Yeah. And you were wondering how much time even passed between the funeral and when he came back. Yeah, because they don't really say. I feel like it a week at at most. Because I'm trying to think when the episode ended, I think that was that weekend. Yeah. And so I think at least I think like yeah, like you were saying a week. Like a week at max. Yeah. Because that family was trying to move fast. They were like, up, I wouldn't be I wouldn't be surprised if it was a couple days. It happened that weekend it was like funeral Monday, something Tuesday, and he's back Wednesday or something. I don't know. Probably. That's probably how it did go. That's crazy. I yeah. Because they were still talking about Parents' Weekend too. Yeah. So as if it just happened. So like that past weekend. It probably was like a couple days. Yeah. I feel like he got no time. Oh my gosh. Like, no wonder he's crashing out during this episode. He had no time to grieve or anything. Yeah. They just threw him right back in. They said, Alright, here you go, bud. And then Willem coming back to the school. I would have felt so awkward. And this whole entire thing was just so like. You could just tell he didn't want to be there. Yeah, well, because they're all super silent. They're all standing up watching him walk in. Walk in. Oh my gosh. It's fucking August. The choir gives a whole fucking performance. Even before that, August, this made me so uncomfortable. Oh yeah, yeah. And he reaches, he reached, he like looks like he's just gonna give Wilhelm a hug, and then he grabs his neck. He grabs his hand as if he's gonna like kiss him. And it's like, whoa, whoa. I'm like, I don't like this. It was very much a power move of like I got you. I got you. Like, and I think it was I think he comes from two places of like I'm here for you, but also saying, like, I, you know, I'm in charge of you. Yeah. Basically, because his mom, like, I think I forget this too, which I didn't even really think about when watching the episode, but like, uh, August was best friends with Eric. Like, that was his best friend. And I I kind of forgot that and all of this, that he really did lose somebody too that was really close to him. Exactly. Especially since he lost his dad, his mom's really distant, doesn't have any siblings. Yes. You know, he doesn't really have anybody that's really close to him. And I think that's another reason why he grabs his neck like that. He's like, please, like, I need this. This is the only person I have left, basically. And it's so I guess it's how we're gonna do it. This episode means so much more for my other notes later on now. I know I'm thinking about it. Uh yeah. So I think it I think it's a lot more I don't know, it's a lot of things combined. For sure. Like, I I think it's because one, he's very upset, grievous, he wants to feel close. The other one, the power move the power move because Willem's mom was like, you need to take care of him. But also, I think it's desperation, like, this is the one person I could have left. So, like, I gotta make this count.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_01So, well, I know when we discover stuff. Gosh, okay. See, this is why we talk things out. I'm like, Exactly, exactly. And then the choir singing, and Simone has this beautiful solo and the entire time he's looking at Wilhelm, but Vilhelm is looking away because he's just completely he's out. He's like distinctly and like very making sure he doesn't make eye contact with him. He's trying his hardest. He's trying not hard, and he doesn't. He like does for the entire time he's seeing he refuses to look at him. Yes. And I think for me, at least when I'm watching this, I think if he were to look at Simone in his eyes, he would have felt something. And I think I think right then and there he didn't want to feel anything. I agree. That's what I was gonna say. Oh really? Oh yeah, because I feel like if as soon as he looked into his eyes, he would have started like the wall of emotion would have crashed and everything would have just flooded right there. I feel like it would have like broke down in tears and everything. Exactly. And I just want to say the transition from the choir scene to the next part was so clean. Yes, because Willem gets up to talk and he has this paper in front of him, like a script of what he's supposed to say. Like, oh, like thank you, everyone, for your condolences, blah blah blah. And then he folds the paper up and goes off script and starts speaking what he truly feels like, you know, my brother Eric, he he was so funny and saying all these really nice things and saying that he's gonna live up to the family expectations, he's not gonna let them down, he's gonna make them proud. Which this comes back later in the show where they give him stuff to say, and then he just doesn't say what they want him to say. Yes, and he goes off script a lot. I think his definition of I won't let them down versus them wanting to do stuff is very different. I agree. Like, I I truly believe he doesn't want to let them down, but at the same time he doesn't care. At the same time, he's like, I'm gonna do what I want. I think for him, he's trying on the behalf of his brother, not on the behalf of the country or his parents. Oh yeah, I agree. And that's it. I agree. That that is it. Like, I I don't know, because for the rest of the royal family, there's this facade. Like they're very poshed, they're very polished, everything's very like this is going to be seen, this is going to be seen, this is not going to be seen. But with Wilhelm, he's so real. Like, he's just like, that's all bullshit. Like, I I don't care about that. Like, I want to be seen as a person. Yeah. Well, in the reality of like royalty, too, he didn't have a purpose before. No. Like, he had none. No. And that's how it is for any royal family. Like, yeah, you're the firstborn, you have all the responsibilities. Exactly. He never had any. So now they could send him away, they could do whatever. Now they don't have that anymore. Right. And I think the family's just as scared as he is. Like which he's never had to like do this before. So at the same time, I think it's also just an experience on everybody's face. Yeah. So which is we'll see, we'll see that humbles. But uh anyway, so then we have someone coming up and sitting next to him. Yes, yes, yes, and it's just awkward. You can just feel the tension in the room, nobody else in the room. It's just them. And he's just like, hey, and it's like, hey. They're just like, so uh he's just gonna get my texts, and he's like, Yeah, I did. I got that, and I'm like, oh boy. He was like, I was gonna respond, but and Simone was like, No, it's okay, it's okay. Yeah, and then he proceeds to be like, just delete them all, delete all the texts. I know he dropped that bomb. He said, He said, uh yeah, so I I want you to delete our conversations and all that. And Simone's just like, What? Like, if I was Simone, I would just instantly start crying. I'd be like, Oh, okay. I I understand Simone's crash outs because it's like he's getting such whiplash. If somebody did that to me, I'd be like, I thought it'd be like so what the like me personally. Me personally, if I get anything but I want to be with you, somebody, I literally do not care. I won't give any energy and I give up. Like, I no, I I won't I won't put forth any more effort. No, so I understand him. Or when people are like playing hard to get, I'm like, I don't want that. No, don't do that because that makes me uninterested in you. Yeah, that's weird. I don't like that. Yeah, either you want me or you do or I'm gone. Yeah, exactly. Like, yes, period, girl. Exactly. I'm like, no, I'm not doing that. No, them I don't I don't like that stuff. So I understand him 100%. Oh yeah. Being annoyed, wanting to be like, okay, whatever, buy it. He's just like, bro, what? Mm-hmm. And I was just like, babe, this is not real. But then we cut to the bus, and Simone is sitting away from his friends. Yes. Like they keep looking at him, and he keeps looking at them and like going back and forth, but they're like not talking to each other, and at the same time, he's getting texts saying that his dad wants to meet up with him, obviously, because he owes him money. Yep. And he's been stealing his drogs. Yep. We have to see all of that unfold, which is just glorious. Oh yeah. And then so there's a lot of back and forth. They give Wilhelm a bigger room now, which is just all because he's the crown prince. Yeah. So he already had his own room before, which isn't really a thing. Right. Now he's in a bigger room by himself still, and on top of that, he now has security guards. Yeah. Like just standing outside his room, which he never had before. Which even before that, Eric didn't have his own room until his third year. Yes. So they're just giving him the special treatment because he's like his brother died. They just seem like they feel bad. I feel like it's that, but also on honestly, I think the main reason is is so they just have more control over him. Because they didn't really need the control before. They just sent him away. Right. And it was fine. It was like whatever, you know, it's we got Eric. Now it's like, gotta keep him in line. He can't be doing crazy stuff. We gotta be watching him at all times if he's gonna stay out here. Uh-huh. So, like, I I think that's a huge part. I I agree. Which that would annoy the. If somebody was standing, like if I shut the door right now and somebody just had to stand out there the entire time while I was in here, I'd be like I'd be like leave. Okay. Like, cause they can hear what I'm doing. Exactly. Like, I don't like that. That's weird as fuck. I really don't like that at all. I don't I don't like that either. And after everyone leaves, before that, the head lady, like the headmistress, she he gives her the longest hug. I feel like she needed that. Mothering moment. Cause I don't know if his mother even hugged him or did anything touched his back during the funeral, but that was it. Yeah. So I feel like he just needed a mother moment. He just he just needed a hug. Yeah. Like he I think he really needed that. He didn't need a grab around his neck. No. He did not. But after she leaves, he like sits there and literally you can tell he's just ready to have like a full like panic attack. He's like crashing out. And this is when he deletes Simone's contact. And after and as he's deleting it, he's going through all these memories in his remembering together of them kissing and them being close to each other and like all these really nice things. Yeah. And then he starts crashing out even more. And then he like starts ripping his clothes off. He's just like, I just need some fresh air, bro. I need to get out of here. And then to make things worse, the guards are like starting to follow him. He's like, no, stop it. Leave me up. He's like, he's like, Can I just have a moment by myself? And they're like, no. They're like, I'm so sorry. And because they gotta follow him. So they follow him outside. And this is when he stumbles upon Felice and oh, what's her name? I don't forget the roommate's name. Uh Felice's roommate. But they're like under the bridge having a fucking ritual. Yeah. And they have coal spread across their forehead, and they're just chanting like negative energy be gone or something like that. Oh my god. Imagine stumbling upon that when you're crashing out. Honestly, I would be Willem in this instance, and I would join them. I'd be like, you know what? Maybe this will stop me from crashing out. Mm-hmm. Because he's like, oh well, can I he's like, can I join?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01And they're like, oh yeah. Uh-huh. Of course. Like, of course, that'd be chill. That'd be great. That'd be great. And like Felice's out there being like, it's kind of cold. She said warmer and it's not. And he's like getting out of his jacket, giving it to her and everything. They're so like after that incident in the last episode, going forward, they're so best friend coded. Yes. Like, I still think Felice is still hoping. I think so too. But at the same time, I feel like she's down. I feel like she might kind of have a sense of um his I guess secret. Like I feel like she might think that he's not into women. But at the same time, I don't know yet. She's just I feel like she, I think you're right with the hope like she has some. I think she still has a little bit. Like I think she has given up, but then he does things. And I feel like any girl in that position would be like, oh my gosh, she did something. Like, you know when you have a crush on somebody where you're when you're just like thinking about every single little thing that they've done. And he's and he's the crown prince now. Yes. So I feel like she's just like, oh my god. Like, oh, he's the crown prince is giving me my jacket or giving me his jacket. Okay, yeah. So the jacket comes up later. So keep that keep that in the back of your head there. Yes. But after he joins them, we cut to Smoone visiting his dad, and his dad is just pass out drunk. Like he he far gone. He's so gone. And so he rolls him over so he doesn't choke in case he like overdoses. So at least he's thinking about him. I guess that's true, but then he steals more drugs. Yeah. So is he really thinking about him? He's like, I don't want you to die, but also I'm gonna take all of your drugs. Literally. He's like so again, babes. Enough with the drugs. And he's taking so many of them. And this is. He takes like almost the whole drawer. And this is the thing where like the whole thing later with August, I just can't wrap my head around. I I agree. Which I I just can't. But before that, speaking of the him, August then finally the cut to the scene. Yes. They are they're having a nice little uh fucking moment. Yeah, so they're having sex, but and that's fine, but the angle that it cut to, I said, Oh my god. You said what is that? I well, I forgot that again, I forgot how early on this happened. And mind you, they're like not even looking at each other. No, because he's behind her, yes, and she's in front of him, yes, and she's facing the pillow, and she's like reaching out to touch herself and she like closes her eyes, which I feel like is normal in sex to close your eyes if you're like enjoying the moment. Yes, and also she wants to touch herself so she can like get off, right? Because he's not doing anything for me, no, like if he if he were doing that for her, I'd be like, Okay, yeah, girl, like you don't need to do it too. Right. He wasn't, he wasn't, and she's just like closing, and again, I feel like closing her eyes was normal, especially if you're like one, just trying to be in the moment. Yeah, because sometimes you know you need to concentrate. You need to concentrate as a girl, you need to concentrate, you need to concentrate, yes. Like, I I don't know just to put that like you just you just need to. I need to concentrate really hard, yes. Like, I still have to be relaxed, yeah, but you also have to I don't know, maybe some women don't have to concentrate on that, but anyways, so she closes her eyes and he's like he's like holy shit, do you just close your eyes? Which mind you, how are you turning your whole head around just to look at her? Just to be like, your eyes are closed? Why why do you care that much? I don't understand, right? And he's like, Oh fuck, you're thinking of somebody else. I'm like, the fact that you're that insecure, like and everything, but at the same time, she probably is doing she probably like so just like but at the same time, like he's so insecure, so so insecure, and we saw that earlier when he was like in the gym. We didn't really mention this, but he was in the gym videoing himself, like looking at his body and like touching his body. He's very he's very insecure about himself, yeah. Which again, I uh that comes from that family dynamic. He has no one there to support him. Yeah, so I I understand where that's coming from. But man, that scene was just wild. I said what? No, and even Felice was like, bro, what are you talking about? I just don't understand how he can see like her like her eyes were closed. I'm like, what? Literally, I was just like, um, okay. It was just a weird I know whole weird moments. Like, can she not just close her eyes? God damn. But then Simone in the next scene goes up to August and is giving him a bag full of the drugs. He's like, here, sell these so you can get me my money back. Mind you, he already hasn't he already sold your other stuff and didn't give you the money. So like I didn't understand this whole scene personally. I don't understand either. Because why are you giving him more stuff to sell when he already didn't pay you back for the other stuff? Right. So to me it made no sense. I I I just don't understand. Like that if somebody owes you something, why would you give them more of that thing? Right so they would not give you more back. That's what that's what I'm saying. Like the thought the thought process is not thought processing to me. The process is not processing. It it is not. So I guess Simone Yeah, good for you, I guess. But I mean, August says he'll take it and sell it. So I and Simone's like, alright, uh, whatever. And later on, I mean, he does get paid back. He does money, yeah. But like it's not, it's still not sufficient the full amount. Plus, most of this money is being given back to his dad. Yes. For the alcohol he bought in the first episode, yes, and the other drugs that he sold. So it's really pointless. Like, he's I know he's in a losing battle and losing money. Like, I just don't understand. It's okay. The then we go to the bus stop and Sarah and Felice. I know I love this moment. Me too. Because Sarah was like, Are you mad at me? And Felice is like, Yeah. About the parents weaken with the horse. And Sarah's like, I'm really sorry about that. And she apologizes. She's like, I'd really like to go back to being friends, and Felice is like, Yeah, me too. It's okay, like blah blah blah. Like, I was fully expecting Felice to be a bitch and just be like, Yeah, well, I don't really want to. I know, and then she wasn't, and I was like, Oh. I I like her character quite a bit. Me too. Like, she at first she was very judgmental, but she actually took the time to like understand that she's not so much different than Sarah. Yeah, and they both have their own issues, right? Like, and I think she's really grown, even though we're only four episodes in. I think she's really grown just from the beginning with that. And she even gives Sarah a hug. It was like a hug for a long time. They do, and she's like, I'd love to be go back to being friends with you. Like, ugh, and then Felice going back to her room and her room. Oh my god! And her roommate's like, I'm sorry, he won't leave. And August refuses to leave. He's like, Where where are you? I messaged you, I called you. And she's like, What? Like, she was like, What? I was just out. And then he saw uh Wilhelm's jacket and he was freaking out. He was like, Oh, so you were with Wilhelm? And she's like, No. This is from earlier this morning when we were out doing our ritual whatever thing. And she was like, I was gonna go get it back. And he's basically just like, Well, I'll just go get it back for you. Right, like he he was he couldn't process the thought of why she had it. Mm-hmm. He was so jealous, and he was he was like, Well, you should be comforting me so I can comfort him. Yeah, and I was like, What? I was like, what a weird uh way to say this, but yeah, like I I understand why he's controlling again, he has no one, but at the same time, there are healthy ways to deal with that. Yeah, and that's not very healthy, very unhealthy. Um, I fear like I just what? Like, I I I just him to say, yeah, the whole like I just need you to comfort me so I can comfort him. Right. Babes, what it I don't know, he was so weird about it, and he's like, I'll take the jacket back. And she was like, uh, okay. And so he does. He he goes and takes the jacket back, and I love this bodyguard so much. She was like, You can just give it to me, and I'll just give it to him. Thank you. And he was like, No, I'll do it. And she's like, no, babes, give it to me. And so she finally gets the jacket, and he's like, fuck it. He's like, damn it. Like, props to that bodyguard though, because Willem was in his room and he heard that and he was like, Thank god. No, for real. I bet you anything he probably told them, hey, if August comes by, please don't let him in. Which like had to have no no sh no hate, because I get it. Because it wasn't like some outsider that they really could have been like, no, you can't. So he must said something to them, being like, 'cause they probably know who he is. And they were just like, hmm, nah, nah. Nah, fam. You can stay out. No, for real. And then the next morning, Felice and Vellome are walking into the school together, and they're like laughing and looking at their phone and like giggling, whatever. Which this is so like best friend coded to me. They're just like, they just have fun together. Yeah. Oh, and they were childhood friends, like they grew, they knew each other from childhood. And in this moment, though, Wilhelm is ignoring Simone, because Simone's there. And then August is also there, and he's getting jealous. Because there's no fucking reason for it. Because Felice and Wilhelm walked in the school together. Oh god forbid. Like, you can't you can't avoid that happening. No. You you guys are boarding at the same school together and you're in all the same classes. Correct. Like, I I I'm not understanding the the jealousy. And I'm like, if Wilhelm really wanted to do something, he would have by now. Exactly. You know? Like if he if he really liked her, he would have already made a move. Yeah. And he clearly doesn't and hasn't. Right. Like I I think you're I think you're okay, babes. Like, I think it's fine, bruh. Yeah. I literally think it's fine. And then we get to the stable. Oh my fucking guy. Oh my fuck. I I I I low-key forgot about this scene too. Oh, me too. I think I blocked it out of my head. Because it was so creepy. So August is again looking for Felice. Cause he's a fucking freak. Yes. And he's like, I saw that she just posted here, she's not here. And Sarah's like, oh yeah, she just does that. She does that sometimes. Like she'll say she's somewhere and then post a different location. That way people don't actually like know where she is. Which honestly is smart as fuck. No, that is smart as fuck. Um, and so she probably did that because of August. She probably realized. Probably. So then she could just crazy around without him. Yeah. Because he's so controlling. Mm-hmm. Like, and that's so weird. Uh. And then for August to like keep like pushing Sarah asking questions, she's like, bro, I don't know. I'm not telling you. I'm not whatever. She's literally like, what do you want? Yeah. Like, why why are you asking me? Why are you being like this? You know? And then and then he randomly is like, has everyone ever has anyone ever told her that you're just so beautiful? And she's like, the fuck? He's like, what are you what? And then he proceeds to kiss her. Yes! Kiss her. And she she like backs away, she's like, what the? And starts laughing. She literally starts laughing in his face. I would have done that too, I'm not gonna lie. Me too. If he did that, I would have been like and everyone knows that he's super into Felice. Yeah. So she's just like, What? Genuinely, like, what are you on right now? Yeah. And then he continues to keep kissing her, and she's just like, dude, what? Genuinely, what are you doing? And then he leaves, and you can just tell she's just so confused. She's just like, she like kind of laughs too. She's like, okay, like it was so weird. Yeah. I also feel like she liked it though, which is also why she had a moment of like Yeah. You know. Because she was like, Oh, are you serious? Like, which I he's definitely just saying that. Oh, one thumb. Like, he's not being genuine at all. No. But I if I was her, I would I would be the same way. I'd I was like, what the actual fuck are you doing? Yeah. Why are you doing that? Well and then does Sarah know that Felice and him are a thing at this point? I don't know. Because I don't think it was out. No, because she also doesn't board there, so I feel like only Felice's like closer friends would know because they saw them together. But that's the only reason. So that's the only reason that might be like, well, she doesn't know. So it might be. I feel like she probably doesn't. Yeah. Because I feel like Felice also hasn't like told she didn't even tell her closest friends. Yeah, then they found out when they saw them like together in the hallway. And they're like, what? And they're like, what the fuck? Yeah. So I feel like I feel like she doesn't know. Probably not. But then Wilhelm is in his room and he gets a society letter with a key. Mm-hmm. And he's like, Alright, I you know, I guess I'll meet up later. Mm-hmm. And I like he has no idea what this is, but he's like, whatever. What the fuck ever? And then the next part, Simone goes back to his dad's house. Oh gosh. This is when it just kind of explodes because his dad opens the door and immediately like pulls him inside and was like, What the f because he like gave him the money and he's like, Are you fucking serious right now? Yeah. Like, mind you, yeah, is the dad a piece of shit? Yeah, obviously. But do I respect him in this moment? Yes. Cause he's like, You're taking my drugs, you're taking my medicine. He's like, Are you using? And he asks his, I think he asked him like two or three times. He's like, Are you using it? He's like very adamant. He's like, Because his biggest fear is he doesn't want his kids to turn out like him. Yes. He he realizes that he's fucked up. Oh yeah. He he definitely he's very self-aware about that. And he's like, as because as long as his kid's not using, he feels a little less frantic about it. And he's like, you know those are prescription drugs, right? At ADHD. And someone's like, bullshit. You use anything you can to get high. You've always done that. You couldn't even stop doing that for me and Sarah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like, I know these are not prescription. I know they're not yours. Do you think they're prescription? Um, even if they are, they're not doing anything. Like, he's still getting drunk every day. So And I'm like, well, in my head, I'm like, even if they are ADHD meds, I'm like one, you're still drinking every day, so it doesn't matter even if they were. They're not doing anything. They're obviously not helping you. No. So So what? I I don't know. So props is that for like a moment because he's just like, bro, I don't want you using what is all of this. No, so I just someone needs to stop getting it over his head. But then he gives him all the money, leaves. So he's done with that. He's done with that. And hopefully he just doesn't steal anymore. Doesn't take any more drugs. Bro, his dad's gonna be on his case now if he comes over again because he's he knows that he's stealing the drugs. Yeah. So, which the last time he sold the drugs, and then this time, the drawer was completely filled back up again.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So obviously he's getting them from somewhere and they're not prescription if he has that many. Right. That's what I'm like, you know what I'm saying? But also, why wouldn't you take just like I don't know if you're trying to steal from somebody, wouldn't you take a couple of things and then leave the rest? I just think someone was so desperate for this money that he just wasn't even thinking. He was just like, oh I'm gonna get this, get this, get this. And so he just frantically took everything. That's wild. So I don't I don't even think he was trying to be sneaky because he knows his dad can just get more. Yeah. So and he knows his dad can't do anything. Because he doesn't have any like ownership over him, basically. Right. Because he's just a drunk. Yeah, and they're like no almost no contact. Yeah. So wild as fuck. Oh, but then we get to our little meeting, our little society meeting, which I couldn't remember his name, and then they finally said this man's name, Alexander. What a cute. He's so cute. They they treat him like shit. They do, they like push him around. They're he's like their own personal maid, basically. I'm just like, god damn. I was like, man. But Alexander comes to Volham's window and it's like he's like, yo, bro, you ready? Yeah. Volham's like, hell yeah, give me the fuck out of here. And the fact that they got down there and Alexander's like, Do you have a key? And he's like, You don't have one? He's like, no. And then it's like, bro, what's the one? They don't even because I'm guessing he's not part of the elite. I think they're like elite families. Yeah. I think he's trying to get in, or they're I don't know, they're just using him. They they're probably just using him. Yeah. And acting like they're they're his friend. Mm-hmm. Which that is fucking idiotic. Mm-hmm. Cause I love him. He He's so sweet and he's cute. But they have the whole society meeting. And basically it's like to prevent the end of their noble lines. God, they don't need them. I know, they're like, you have to the only rule is that you have to agree to is that you have to promise to uphold your noble family lines or something like that. And Wilhelm's like, okay, yeah. He just is like, alright, yeah. Yeah. Sure. He doesn't he does not give a fuck. And after as soon as they're like that, they're like, Alright, Alexander, pour us up some drinks. Yes, they pour them, and I'm like, I'm like, damn. And they're like just drinking, hanging out. Yeah. And then they're like, alright, Alexander, pull out the heavier stuff, and it's all the drugs that Simone gave August. And I'm just like, god damn. I'm like, so you're not selling them?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Which I'm not surprised about. But oh what the hell was that? My phone. Why'd it sound like that? I don't know. Anyway. Um, but then they're they're like all taking drugs now, and it's just they're having a good time or whatever, but there's too much going on. There is too much going on. And Wilhelm does not need this right now. No, like truly, truly does not need this. He ends up outside with August and they're peeing for the longest time. Bro, literally, I was like, uh, what? Like, how much did they drink, dude? Clearly, too much. Probably too much. And Wilhelm out there is just like, you know, my brother just died. I can't believe I'm partying. This feels so wrong. Like, this is this is not what I should be doing right now. And August, I this is why I go back and forth with August's character so much. Because he's like these moments where you're like, okay, yeah. Like he's being genuinely so sincere. Yeah, he's trying to console him and be like, you know, it's not your fault, right? Like, what happened to Eric is not you. It's not your fault. Like, I understand this is hard, but you know, you you're your own person, and it's not even fault. Yeah, like what's going on. Whatever you can have done. Right. And in this moment, you know, Wilhelm is like, I wish, you know, maybe maybe you could take my my role and I could take your role. And August, in his I could see in his eyes, he was kind of like, actually, yeah, that'd be great. I would love to be in your shoes, actually. Yeah. Because he wants to be important. He wants to feel important. Yes. Because his whole life, after, you know, his dad is gone, everyone's gone, he doesn't feel important. No. He wants to feel important somehow. He's a purpose. Exactly. So I feel like, which we will see this later on in the show. Mm-hmm. Great foreshadowing. Yes. But like he he's not saying no to the idea. Anyway, so then they start screaming to like let out their anger, which I think is is another great just like kind of coping. Yeah, I think I think it was needed. Especially for Wilhelm, because I feel like a let it out. That plus now everything is being put on him like so suddenly with all these responsibilities. He just needs to get it out, bro. Yeah. And then he ends up at the fucking soccer field. Bro, when I tell you the soccer field scene is probably one of my favorite scenes, not even in the entire series, but like just like a TV in general. Like he was so fucked up. He was so high. I don't I don't know what he took. But I don't know what drug all those drugs were. I mean, but he took something and he was that plus the alcohol, the mixture can't be great. Oh no, definitely not. Plus, like he's already crashing out. Yeah. Like that, not a good not a good combo. No. But he's like kicking all these signs down and on the field, crawling on the fence, crawling up the goalposts. My favorite part though is literally what he he swings the person thingy and he's just going back and forth with it. Like, yes, yes. There's like these little uh figure things to use for like soccer practice or something. And he's like kicking them over and like putting his head through them and all this crazy stuff. Favorite. I cannot. And then he's like touching the turf and he pulls up a hand, and you know the black specks from the turf. They're all over his hands because the ground is wet. Yep. And then he just licks it off of his hands. And he's like, everything's fake. This grass is oh my what the fuck, Kona? He just like almost I thought he was about to throw up. Okay. Yeah, Kona, everything's fake. I guess yeah, he said everything's fake, guys. I'll keep that in. People can hear him. Um but but even before that, he's literally calling Simon. Yes, equal Simon. Mind you, he deleted he remembered his number. He had his mem number memorized. I wrote that down. I literally put it on caps. He remembered his name. He did, because he he deleted his contact. And first person he thinks of, he's crashing out on the ground with this fake ass grass, and he's like, Man, I need to call my man. And Simone answers and he can immediately tell something's wrong. He's like, uh He's like, what the fuck? He's like, is this He's like Wilhelm? And he goes, Yeah. And he's so fucked up on the phone. And that's when he's going on his rant about everything being fake. He's like, This grass is fake, this field is fake, people are fake, everything's fake. He's like, you know what's not fake though? You you and you know what's also not fake? Me liking you, I like you. That's not fake. And I'm just like, I said, Oh, and Simone's like, You're at the soccer fields. I've never seen someone ride their bike so fast. So fast. He mind you, at this point, one of my favorite songs of all time is playing. Yes. Revolution. Literally, if you have not heard that song, you should go listen to it. Listen to it on repeat. Yes, absolutely. It's my favorite. I'll probably listen to it once I'm done with this podcast because it's just it's just so good. Well, and then and it sets the whole mood for the entire scene. It does. And Solomon finally gets there. Not finally, he literally broke so fast. And as soon as he gets there, Wilhelm just looks at him and he goes, You're so beautiful. And you're just like I said, my fucking heart just almost expenses. Holy shit. And Simone's just like, Alright, get up, get up, get up. Because you know, he's used to his dad being high or drunk all the time. So he knows exactly what to do. And he's just like, Alright, get up. He's like, What'd you take? What'd you take? And the entire time Villem's just like all over him. All over him. He's like, Oh, I like you. Trying to tackle him. He's like, I like you, I like you. You're so beautiful. Like, you're not fake at all. You're so real. He's like, This is so real. I genuinely don't know how Simon thought he was gonna get him on his bike. I don't know if he's gonna ride away. I was like, Because he was like, Villem hopped on his back, he's like, Alright, nah na nah get off. So they finally just started walking. But I'm like, I was like, he thought that was a good idea in the first place. I don't I don't know. He was he was just in the moment. Oh man. But they they end up back at Villem's place and he was able to get Villam to bed, and he ended up staying back. He stayed the night, and he slept on the end of the bed, and he gets up, and Villem like wakes up and you go, he's like, Oh no, don't go. He's like, please just wait, no, stay. Like, just stay, please. And they're like, I just want you to hold me, is what he said. He's like, and he's like, okay, okay. So they're just he's just holding him and everything, and then they end up laying down and spooning, and he's like, Can you just stay until I fall asleep again? And Simone was like, Of course. Yeah, like I'll stay. Simone is very much me in this moment. I will not be able to handle the silence after what occurred last night. No, I know. So for him to just be like, So do you remember what you said last night? Will him gets up so fast he's like off, he's like, and crash out.
SPEAKER_02That's about to happen.
SPEAKER_01And Simone's like, no, it's okay. He's like, I like you too. And then his biggest smile, he's like Vilhelm smiles so big, he's like, Oh, okay, so I didn't fuck up. Yeah. And like he's just so happy in this moment, and so they like start kissing. And it starts getting there's a heated pretty quickly. It does, and they take off their clothes, they're just in their underwear at this point. And they're just you know, feeling each other up, trying to get used to whatever this is, and then they both just come time. They both just said they like each other, you know. You know, they're kissing, they're having a good time, they're like giggling with each other, and then we cut to fucking in August August. He's outside Alexander's window, he's like, hey, hey, Alexander, Alexander, but Alexander's probably fucking asleep, as one does, because y'all kept him up late as hell, yeah, with him serving y'all out of rugs. He probably couldn't even partake. They're probably not, man. You're not noble, you can't, you may be rich, but you're not one of us. Like, okay, fuck you. Literally, fuck all of you. But he doesn't answer, so August is like, well, I guess I'll go to Wilhelm's window. So he does, and he sees that he's kissing somebody, and he's like, Oh, he's like, Oh my god, and so he starts this idiot starts filming, and as he's filming them, he's like watching it on his phone, and then they like move and it reveals that it's Simone. And his whole face and everything, and immediately he immediately stops recording and jumps back, and it's just like standing there, his like face is just so like he's in such a shocked like he's like, Oh my god, there's no way that that just gay? Yeah, gay? That's literally what he's thinking. I don't even know what was going on through his head. He's like, Man, Felice really has no shot. Or like, like, what was going on through his head? I think it was like utter surprise and shock and just shock and just like oh my god. And the fact that it's with someone they deem as dirty because they're poor. He's probably like, oh shit, this is a scandal. Yeah, this this needs to be taken care of immediately. And that's where the episode ends. Yeah, uh what a win episode. Honestly, fuck August because I know we keep going back and forth on him, but literally, fuck him. From here on out, I fuck him. Dead ass. Uh yeah, with everything that goes down. Everything, yeah. Everything in my body, literally. Yeah. Full of rage. Suck my ass. Ugh. Oh my god. But like, I'm just so happy that they admitted that he liked that they liked each other. And they have a moment together. They do have this moment together before all the chaos brews again and exactly it just goes downhill. All because of fucking August. It could have been completely fine. It could have been so fine. They also could have just like maybe closed like the curtain. No, because you can't do that, obviously. They could have closed the curtains, but like they were in the moment. Yeah. Like, if you see that, like just walk away, bro. Yeah. Why do you care so much? Like just first of all, filming someone like that in that state is weird as fuck. Yeah. Don't do that. But they're also in that weird, preppy school, weird, whatever, I don't know, power stuff. Like, they're like, oh, I gotta, I gotta know everything about everyone. They're all in each other's basis. Yeah, exactly. I'm like, I could not go through with that. I'd be like, no, like parent, like parents like children though, because all the parents on Parents Weekend were like, did you hear that they're round? Yes. I'm like, okay, let's chill out, y'all. It's not that big of a deal. Also, like speaking of broke, if August is so broke and he couldn't pay before, how'd he start paying someone all of a sudden? I bet he started liquidating some of his stuff. Probably. He probably had to. I just thought about that too. Mm-hmm. Last minute. He probably he probably started liquidating some of that. Ugh. Which he's probably only doing a little bit at a time. Because, you know, it's this last thing that it feels connected to his dad with. So he's probably doing it very, very slowly. But I'm still I'm still confused on how someone's gonna pay for that tutoring. I'm gonna be so honest with you right now. I don't remember how he does. I don't I don't remember. I don't remember. I watched this so long ago, it feels like, for the first time. I I haven't rewatched it. So this is my second rewatch of it. I only re-watched it the whole entire show recently when the third season came out. Uh the third season came out last year, two years ago. I think it came out two years ago, I want to say. I feel like it. I think it came out last year. Because I remember waiting for it forever. I'm looking it up real fast because I'm not curious. I feel like I feel like it came out longer ago than that. It might have came out at the end of 2024, maybe. Yeah, let's let's take a let's take a gander at that. Oh March of 24. Damn, that was so long ago. Oh my god. I remember waiting for that forever. I don't even remember watching it. I did watch it. I don't remember watching it though. Man. That's crazy. That's really crazy. I yeah. Holy shit. But out of all the seasons, truly, season two is my least favorite. Really? Yeah. I hated it. There was a lot of stuff that a lot of stuff that happens. That happens in season two. Season one's just good, you know. It is season three is a good pick-me-up ish. It is. Season two is just like your action burn. It's like, oh, you want to be thrown down the fucking toilet? Here you go. Exactly. Oh, you want to be thrown down it again? Here you go. Like the second season is like a dumpster fire and a train wreck had a baby. So I hope you're I hope you're ready for that. I hope you're ready for nothing. Actually, it's okay. I hope you're ready for a lot of bullshit. It's okay, because the end of season one will crash you out anyways. That's true. So crash me out for an entire year that had to wait. You'll be years. You'll already be crashed out. So yeah, I I remember I watched it when the first two seasons were out, and then I had to wait for the third season. And then I watched a third season. I do not remember watching it though. Yeah, it'll be interesting because I feel like I've re-watched season one so many times. Yeah. And then I haven't really re-watched season two that much because I didn't like because I literally was so mad the entire time. And then season three, I think I only watched once or twice because they just came out and I watched it and I was like, okay, cool. Series is done, you know. Yeah. So we'll see. We'll s I guess we'll see, but I hope everyone is enjoying this series as much as we are because it's a really good series. Yeah, I love it. And it's like good. And like we talked about before, like people don't really know about the series. They don't. And it's in a whole different language, which I think turns people off immediately. Yeah, but it's so it's so fun to listen to other people speak a different language. Like I feel like I don't know, I just enjoy it. And if for some reason you can't listen to it in in their native language. There is the English dub. There is the English dub, and I will say the actual actors speak English and they're the ones actually doing their voices. Yes. I just don't like it when their mouths don't match up with the words. It's just not the it's just not the same. But if you can do it, props to you and do it. Yeah. And still watch the show and enjoy it. But yeah. But you know, that's uh that's episode four, guys. So we hope you keep listening and um we should shout out our socials. We should. And we also need to promote a little bit better. We're so bad at promoting. Um, I I blame myself partly just I don't even know what to do to help promote it. Like, I guess I should look stuff up. But our Instagram is Sis the Season Pod, and then we have an email. We do have a TikTok. Um, we haven't posted anything on it. It's Siss the Season Podcast, I believe. Um, so we'll start posting on there. Um, so we have that, and then our email if you want to contact us, or I guess you could DM us too, um, is sis the season podcast at outlook.com. Yes. Alright. Please do it.
