Good evening, my friend. Welcome back to ICAR Let's Pray Ministries. Thank you for taking a few moments out of your day to be here with me once again. Whether you're listening early in the morning with a cup of coffee, driving to work, eating dinner, taking a walk, resting at home, or winding down after a long day, I'm very grateful that you're here. Amen. And before we begin, I want you to know something simple but very important. You matter. Your life matters. Your journey matters. And most of all, God sees you right where you are today. Welcome to today's devotional. Our focus today is abiding in Christ. Amen. Today is June the 8th. Our scripture today will be coming from John 15 and 5, which states, I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me ye can do nothing. Amen. That is such a beautiful picture, Jesus gives us, right? He doesn't compare us to machines that must perform perfectly. He compares us to branches connected to a vine. A branch doesn't strain to produce fruit. It doesn't wake up every morning wondering how it will make grapes grow. The fruit comes naturally because it remains connected to its source of life. Amen. In the same way, God never intended for us to carry life on our own strength. He invites us to stay connected to him. Sometimes we think spiritual growth is about trying harder, pushing harder, or doing more. But Jesus points us toward something much deeper, and that is abiding. Abiding means remaining, staying, dwelling, living in a continual relationship with him. It's choosing to spend time in his presence even when life feels busy. It's trusting in him when circumstances don't make sense. And the wonderful promise is this that when we remain connected to Jesus Christ, his life flows through us. Amen. The fruit comes from the connection. And maybe today, this evening, you've been feeling spiritually dry. Maybe you've been carrying burdens that seem heavy. Maybe you felt distant from God and wondered how to find your way back. The good news is this that the vine has never moved. Jesus is near, his arms are still open, his grace is still available. And every moment is a new opportunity to reconnect your heart to his. Amen. So take a moment today to ask yourself: what helps me stay connected to God daily? Maybe it's prayer, maybe it's worship music, maybe it's reading scripture before the day begins. What pulls me away from God? Distractions, worry, busyness, fear, discouragement, any of these things. And another question that we can think about is how can I remain rooted in Him today? Not next week, not next month, but right now. One small step of faith can become a beautiful moment of abiding. Remember, God isn't asking you to produce fruit through your own effort, He's inviting you to stay close to Him. The closer you remain to the vine, the more His life will flow through yours. Amen. And now, wherever you are, let's pray together. Heavenly Father, God Almighty, hallelujah. We bless your name. God, we bless you on this glorious day that you have made. We come before you with grateful hearts, thanking you for just another day. Thank you, oh God, for being our source of life, our strength, our hope, and our peace. Thank you for loving us faithfully and never leaving us on our own. Lord our God, help us remain rooted and grounded in you each and every day. Draw us closer into your presence and strengthen our connection with you, oh God. When distractions come, help us keep our eyes fixated on you, O God. Remove anything that pulls us away from you, oh God. Your will and your way and your purpose over our lives. Teach us to depend on you in every area of our lives and to trust you completely, oh God. For the listener hearing this today, I ask that you surround them with your love, your grace, your mercy. Meet every need that they carry in right now, O God, I pray. Bring comfort where there is sorrow, peace where there is worry, healing where there is pain, and hope where there is discouragement. Remind them that they are seen, known, and deeply loved by you. Let our lives bear fruit that glorifies you and reflects your love to everyone around us, O God. May our words, actions, attitudes, and decisions honor you today. We thank you, O God, for your goodness, for your mercy, and your faithfulness, O God. It is in the mighty name of Jesus Christ's name we pray. Amen. Amen. And before we close, I want to leave you with this thought. You don't have to strive to stay strong on your own today. Stay connected to the vine. Spend a few moments with Jesus Christ. Talk with him. Listen for his voice. Trust his promises, and let his life flow through yours. Amen. I want to thank you all for spending this time with me today. Wherever you are, I hope you have been blessed. I pray this message finds you in peace. And I pray that God's presence is all around you and his love is showering upon you. Amen. Until the next time, keep your heart anchored in Jesus Christ. Keep trusting, keep believing, keep hoping. And remember you are not alone. And God is always near. May God get the glory today. Be blessed and have a wonderful evening.
