Praise Him, All Nations

Today's message comes from the shortest chapter in the entire Bible, yet it carries one of the biggest messages God has ever spoken to humanity.

Sometimes we think a message has to be long to be powerful. Sometimes we think we need complicated words or lengthy explanations. But Psalm 117 reminds us that God's truth can be simple, clear, and life-changing.

Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, all nations. Hallelujah. We bless your name, God. This healts our care. Let's pray ministries. I welcome you all into the house of the Lord. It's a Sunday. I'm not in church yet, but I am definitely praise the Lord already for you and me. Because God has been good to each and every one of us. And I want to celebrate God today, amen. And just give Him praise, praise, praise. Thank you, oh God, for this morning here at Our Curless Prayer Ministries. Today we're going to talk about praising Him, amen. It comes from the shortest chapter in the entire Bible, yet it carries one of the biggest messages God has ever spoken to humanity. Sometimes we think a message has to be long to be powerful. Sometimes we think we need complicated words or lengthy explanations. But Psalms 117 reminds us that God's truth can be simple, clear, and life-changing. Amen. In just two verses, God gives us a reason to praise Him and an invitation for the entire world to join in. Psalms 117 states, Oh, praise the Lord, all ye nations. Praise him, all ye people, for his merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord. Amen. Let us go to the Lord in prayer. Holy Father, we thank you for another opportunity to come before you with grateful hearts. Thank you for your mercy that has carried us, your grace that has sustained us, and your love that has never failed us. As we spend these moments together right now, oh God, open up our hearts to receive your word, your presence, your touch, and your God, Heavenly Father. Teach us what it truly means to praise your holy name, not only when life is good, but in every season. Let our hearts be filled with gratitude and our mouths be filled with praise. It's in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Amen. Oh, praise the Lord. Not a suggestion, not a recommendation, but a command in Psalms 117. Oh, praise the Lord. Praise is based on who God is, right? There are days when we feel joyful, and praising God comes easily. But there are times where it's going to be difficult. Life's gonna throw curveballs, and you just don't know what to do with it, right? Like I said, I remember a time when in one week I got hit with so much news, like bad news, like four things in one week. And I was like, I don't have the energy to praise, I don't have the strength to praise. And I said this in the beginning of my podcast, probably the first month, so I can refresh y'all memory. But I was like, I can't pray. I have nothing left to give. And I remember Sunday I was getting ready for church. And I literally dipped down on my ottoman in front of my bed and I just cried out. I'm praying internally in my head, so can't nobody hear what I'm saying. Because I'm just broken. I have nothing left to give. And I'm like, God, I'm going to church, but I can't praise you. I'm telling you in advance. I'm not praising you today, oh God. I got to church. My pastor, yeah, get up right and sing. So I don't feel like it. You see, I got my morning head on. I'm gonna sit on this bench and mind my business. But before I know it, I got up there and I started praising. I started worshiping. I started feeling better. And that black cloud I went into the church with was uplifted off of me. And I felt a thousand times better when I got through praising and heard the word, right? So I'm telling you, there's days when prayers may seem unanswered, but God hears you and He will restore your praise. There's gonna be days where your heart has been heavy, and God's gonna come in there and give you a revival. Amen. So there's gonna be times where we don't understand what God is doing, but God is simply gonna say, Praise my holy name, because I'm worthy of it. And even though nothing changed in that moment when I was in church, I still was hurting. I was still in pain, but I was able to praise through my pain, right? And then when church was over, my cousin came up to me. And she's like, I don't know everything that's going on, but God wants me to give you this word. And as she's giving me these words, I'm thinking, was you in my room? Because everything you're saying is what I was crying out to God about in my head, in my bedroom. And I was like, oh my, oh my God, oh God, you hear me. So I'm like, oh my God, you have to be obedient in the good seasons and the bad. God's love reaches everybody, every generation, every broken heart. And this Psalms points us toward a God who love is big enough for the entire world. So I'm telling you, no matter your background, your mistakes, your past, God's invitation is the same. Come and praise him. Come and experience his love. Come and receive his mercy. Amen. I pray that you all go to church today, whether it's online or in person, and just come and experience God all by himself. And you probably say, well, why should we praise him? Two good reasons. One, because he's merciful. His kindness is great toward us, right? The phrase alone could keep us praising God all day long. God has been kind to us more than we have been kind to ourselves sometimes. I want you to know that we gotta think about the storms he carried us through, right? The doors he opened for us and the doors he closed because he knew it was gonna be on the other side. We gotta think about the press he's already unanswered, right? We need to think about his mercy that he has shown us when we make mistakes. He is merciful, he is merciful, and he is great toward us. Amen. God is so kind, he does not have to be kind to us, but he is. So I'm telling you that that's one good reason to praise his holy name. And the second is the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Everything in this world changes. We know this. Nothing stays the same but God. And I want you to know when life feels uncertain, his truth feels certain. When people disappoint you, his truth remains faithful. And I want to ask you these questions before we go into prayer. What is one thing God has done for you recently that deserves his praise? What promise from God's word are you standing on today? Because I'm telling you, praise is a lifestyle. Praise is thanking God before the answer arrives. Praise is worshiping Him while you're waiting. Praise is trusting Him when you don't understand. Praise is remembering that God is good even when life is difficult. Praise shifts our focus from our problems to our provada. Amen. Praise reminds us that God is bigger than whatever we're facing. So I'm telling you right now, if you are carrying a burden today, begin to praise God. If you're waiting for an answer, praise God. If you're believing for a breakthrough, praise God. If you're celebrating a victory, praise God. Not because every problem has disappeared, but because God remains faithful. Let us go to the Lord in prayer. Hallelujah. Heavenly Father, glory be to God. Hallelujah. We bless your name, oh God. We praise you right now for being our Father, the Prince of Peace, our bridge over troubled water, our wheel in the middle of a wheel. God, we thank you for your mercy, your grace, and your unfailing love. We thank you for every blessing you have given us, oh God. We thank you for every prayer you have answered, oh God. We thank you for every door you have opened, oh God. We thank you for every storm you have brought us through, oh God. Lord, thank you, oh God, for never leaving our side. God, we ask you to forgive us for the times we focus more on our problems than we did on your goodness, oh God. Help us to develop a heart of praise for you, oh God, in every season of our life, Holy Father. Teach us, oh God, to trust your truth when circumstances seem uncertain. Honey Father, I pray right now, through the blood of Jesus Christ, I pray that you flow praise through every listener's things right now, oh God. Fill their homes with peace, fill their hearts with joy, fill their minds with your promises. May they experience, oh God, your love in a fresh way today. And may praise continually raise from their hearts, oh God, for your merciful kindness that's great toward us, oh God. Your truth endures forever. Heart Father, I pray over every listener. God, fill them up with a joyful praise today, oh God. That they will sing like never before. They'll pray like never before. They'll clap their hands like never before. They'll wave their hands like never before. They'll stump their feet like never before because they know that you are a great God. You are an awesome God. And we thank you, oh God, for our life, our health, and our strength. We thank you, oh God, for keeping our families. We thank you, oh God, for providing for us. We thank you, oh God, for being in the middle of everything that we do. God, you are our Savior and we praise you for that. You are our love and we praise you for that. You are our thought process, oh God, because we think about you before we make decisions. And we thank you, oh God, for that. Look, God, we love you, Lord. We love you. Hallelujah.
