The Peddric "Just Cat" Gathings Podcast
What’s Your Story? is rooted in real life and real faith. My parents raised eight boys and yes it was a struggle. In our town at school and even in our own family, people talked about us not having our basic needs met and said we’d probably end up in jail or never amount to anything. But this podcast was built on one truth don’t let the loudness and negative comments of others define you. Who are they? Every episode is a reminder to keep going, become who God called you to be and share your story so someone else can be encouraged.

In this inspiring journey, Kirklyn Johnson alongside his twin brother began life as a nonverbal autistic child, overcoming the challenges of growing up and navigating school. Through the unwavering love of his parents, his faith in God, and his God-given gift for singing, Kirklyn found his voice and his purpose.
He graduated high school, was named Mr. Northeast at Northeast Mississippi Community College, and went on to graduate from Mississippi State University. Not only did he graduate with honors, but God put his miracle on display as Kirklyn the child who was once nonverbal performed the National Anthem at his graduation ceremony at Mississippi State University.
Today, Kirklyn has the potential to teach in the very school district where he once walked the halls as a student. He currently serves as a youth minister, lead musician, and a creative composer. Through every accomplishment, he gives all glory to God and remains a powerful testament to faith, family, perseverance, and the incredible possibilities that come when God’s purpose is fulfilled.
