Stable Health Podcast
Welcome to the Stable Health Podcast, where clinical insight meets real-life health conversations.
Hosted by Sharon, a nurse practitioner, this podcast is designed to go beyond surface-level advice and into what’s actually happening inside your body. Each episode breaks down common symptoms, misunderstood conditions, and everyday health concerns through the lens of real clinical experience.
This is not quick tips or trending wellness hacks.
This is what it sounds like when a healthcare provider takes the time to explain:
- why you feel the way you do
- what your labs may not be telling you
- and what often gets missed in traditional care
From fatigue and metabolic health to hormones, sleep, and preventive care, the goal is simple: bring clarity to the gray areas of health where most people are left without answers.
If you’ve ever been told “everything looks normal” but knew something wasn’t right, this podcast is for you.
Grounded, thoughtful, and clinically informed, Stable Health Podcast is where better understanding begins.

The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Explained
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
For years, many Medicare beneficiaries have been unable to access GLP-1 medications for weight management because of one major barrier: cost.
That may now be changing.
In this episode of the Stable Health Podcast, Sharon explains the new Medicare GLP-1 Bridge—a federal program that gives eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries access to certain GLP-1 medications for a fixed $50 monthly copay.
You'll learn who may qualify, which clinical criteria matter, why prior authorization is still required, and how the program differs from regular Medicare Part D coverage.
Sharon also explains why this development matters beyond weight loss. For many older adults, excess weight is closely connected to mobility limitations, cardiovascular risk, sleep apnea, insulin resistance, fatty liver disease, and the ability to remain active and independent.
This is not automatic coverage for everyone, and the medication still needs to be medically appropriate. But for eligible beneficiaries, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge may represent a meaningful new pathway to treatment that was previously unaffordable.
If you have Medicare Part D and have been wondering whether a GLP-1 medication may now be within reach, this episode will help you understand the program and prepare for a more informed conversation with your healthcare provider.

For decades, Medicare was legally prohibited from covering drugs used primarily for weight loss, but that barrier just came down. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has launched the Medicare GLP1 Bridge, a program that provides access to life-changing metabolic treatments. I'm Sharon, and you're listening to the Stable Health Podcast. Today, the $50 bridge to better metabolic health. Here is the number that matters. Eligible beneficiaries now pay a flat $50 monthly copay for a 30-day supply. This operates outside of Part D, so the cost is fixed regardless of your deductible or out-of-pocket limits. The program covers Wegavee, the ZEP bound QuickPen, and the newer GLP1 pill Foundio. So, who qualifies? The program is tiered based on your body mass index. If your BMI is 35 or higher, you are eligible, regardless of other conditions. For those with a BMI between 30 and 34.9, you qualify if you also have heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension, or chronic kidney disease. And if your BMI is 27 or higher, you qualify with other risks like prediabetes or a history of heart attack or stroke. Your provider simply submits a prior authorization through Humana, who is processing these specific claims for CMS. The Takeaway. Metabolic health is not a cosmetic luxury. It is the foundation of longevity. The bridge program runs through the end of 2027. If you've been waiting for access, now is the time to have the conversation with your provider. I'm Sharon. New episodes every week. Stay stable.
