Just Us Talking
Your favorite group chat, but with mics. No script, no agenda, just us talking.
Just Us Talking
Literally Just Us Talking
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
No outline, no safe topics, and absolutely no promise we’ll stay on track. We sit down as a group and let real friend conversation do what it does best: jump from birthdays and daily updates to back-to-school nerves, teacher work week energy, and the oddly deep question of whether you’d want to teach the younger version of yourself. It’s funny, sure, but it’s also the kind of candid talk that makes a friend group podcast feel like you’re in the room with us.
Then the tangents start multiplying. We get into Dancing with the Stars dream casting, throw out Marvel hot takes, and revisit the internet’s strangest celebrity side quest: the Jeremy Renner app story. From there it’s movie ending rewrites, beach-day chaos with rough waves, and a nostalgia sprint through Mario Kart mains and Wii-era games that still have a grip on our brains.
And yes, the night turns feral when a cockroach shows up mid-recording. After the screaming settles, we spiral into “call me if they die” celebrity picks and cap everything off with prank calls that range from a fake collect call from jail to the infamous “Hilton toe sucker” bit, plus one call that almost works a little too well. If you like conversational comedy, unscripted storytelling, and chaotic group energy, you’ll feel right at home. Subscribe, share this with a friend who loves unhinged podcasts, and leave a review with your favorite moment.
No-Prep Roll Call
SPEAKER_04Hey guys, welcome back to Just Us Talking. Today we are doing that. It's just us talking. We have no topics, no pre-planned questions, nothing. We are discussed. SPEAKER_06My name is Kennedy, and my birthday is March 15th.
SPEAKER_04The eyes of March.
SPEAKER_10Hi, I'm David, and my birthday is February 4th.
SPEAKER_03Nice. Hi, I'm Tyree. My birthday is June 19th. That's nuts.
SPEAKER_10And that's not a lie.
SPEAKER_03Not a lie. Hey, everybody, you guys get off for my birthday. Say roll through holiday. That's right. It's because of Tyree. It's because of the holiday.
SPEAKER_04Everyone in this room's favorite holiday. Hey. I wonder if they can hear when we put our fists up.
SPEAKER_02I'm Mary Grace and my birthday is November 20th.
SPEAKER_13I'm Lawrence, and my birthday is January 5th.
SPEAKER_05I'm Gracie, and my birthday is October 22nd.
SPEAKER_20And this is just a stalking.
SPEAKER_06Sorry. Dang. Because this all got cut.
SPEAKER_04Guys, how are your days?
SPEAKER_06I love it. Hey guys.
SPEAKER_04Hey guys, we're just gonna start with the flow like this.
SPEAKER_05Um
Teacher Work Week Thoughts
SPEAKER_05my name's been chill. Um Teacher Work Week, we are back on the grind. We start school on Tuesday and Tuesday, yeah. Mixed emotions. I'm ready to get back in the grind, and I think I have a really good class this year. Except for a few. But I think it's gonna be good. I think it's gonna be like a good There's some types of like bad kids that I've really good connections with. If they're like a bad because they have a reason they're bad. If they're just bad because the parents don't parent, that's different. But if they're bad because they have a bad home life and like that's hard, like then me and them kids, we're we are unlocked. But if your parents just like are horrible, I'm like, no.
unknownNo problem.
SPEAKER_05No, not really, but you know what I'm saying. But it's just harder. You're doing third grade, right? Yes. Love third grade. Best age.
SPEAKER_13Better than me. Wait, guys, I don't know if this is a hot take. I was thinking about this.
SPEAKER_06No, go for it. I love it.
SPEAKER_13I saw recently, I agree with this, that the last day of school is better than the first day of summer. Would you agree or disagree?
SPEAKER_20Yeah.
SPEAKER_13Like the hype of being in school with your friends, but having no school, the anticipation of summer is better than the first day of school. Actually, not I'm of summer. I would agree.
SPEAKER_05You like the anticipation? Yeah.
SPEAKER_13You're still in school, you're like just hanging out with your friends.
SPEAKER_05Low key, the last week of school is kind of lit. Yeah. The last week we're not doing anything. I'm fine, dude. I'm I wish y'all are in my class, because let me tell you, I'm fine. I am the bet. Not really. I'm just messing. No, I'm just I just had to have fun with my kids.
SPEAKER_13Wait, this is if y'all were a teacher, would you want to have yourself as a kid as a student? Yes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you'd want yourself as a student.
SPEAKER_13Yeah. I definitely. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I think everyone here. I would want you. I would want you. Yes.
SPEAKER_21You would want me? Yes. I don't think you would want me like fifth grade or under. I think I was a bad kid. In what ways? Didn't you write something on a pencil uh?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I got a couple on it. That's okay.
SPEAKER_21No, I was a talker.
SPEAKER_03What did you write? Class clown. I wrote a bad word on a crazy.
SPEAKER_10What age were you?
SPEAKER_03That was kindergarten.
SPEAKER_10She started off young.
SPEAKER_05Those kind of kids. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03But I was always like, I always got the from my teachers like she has such great potential. That's like I was in between like both of those first options that you said.
SPEAKER_04So no, I would like you. What age, like do we choose the age we'd be? Because like for me, if I was a teacher, I would teach like probably high school. Yeah. And also follow-up question would we be aware that it's younger us, or it's like a separate okay.
SPEAKER_13Separate, separate.
SPEAKER_04Or how would you would you like that's a question?
SPEAKER_10I'd want to know if it was younger me.
SPEAKER_04Why so? I feel like if it was like if I was like teaching middle school new, I do not want myself on the street. Yeah.
SPEAKER_20No, I agree.
SPEAKER_04But high school would be chill. High school, you know. Because to me, if I was a teacher, I'd be like a like, I would be like an American or British lit teacher. Yeah, so it'd be like juniors or seniors.
SPEAKER_05I wouldn't want to teach me in high school.
SPEAKER_04I'd be an AP English teacher. Yes.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, I think me from like seventh grade to like maybe freshman, sophomore year, I was a menace. I would hate to be a teacher for myself, so no. But like early, early me, I was like a teacher's pet through and through, like on a roll. I was all I did was read my books.
SPEAKER_05Hate to say it, stereotypical agent. Yes, yes, yes. I hate to say it.
SPEAKER_13Only she can get away with saying it. No, like I was all about school. Like I was like perfect score, perfect tendons, perfect everything, like reading, checks. And I started doing drugs.
SPEAKER_05And then my wife. But go back, go back. So we had this little like we had this little room in our elementary school where it was called the booknook. So if like the cafeteria was too loud for you and you wanted to go read in the book nook, you could go to that classroom, take your lunch, and you can just go read in the booknook instead quiet in there, and he would go with his candle and then just drink V8 juice. V8 juice.
SPEAKER_20Oh my god.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, I was a goody goody little baby, but then I got but then it all went wrong.
SPEAKER_17You came back around.
SPEAKER_13God did it.
SPEAKER_20God did that V8 later.
SPEAKER_13V8 was my gateway drug. All right.
SPEAKER_04Oh man. Wait, what are some things that were sorry, you were about to say something, Mary Grace.
SPEAKER_02Oh no. I mean, I was just gonna say, I think I would like me as a student because I was kind of in the middle. I wasn't teacher's pet, but I wasn't like a really bad kid. I was just kind of in the middle. I'm like, hey, I'm just here to do my work and go home. That's the ideal, actually. I'm just trying to look at it. She used to do this at home and now school. I did that like while I was being homeschooled. I'm like, hey, I'm just trying to get out of this. Hey, wait, Bobby, if you're gonna play your iPad, you gotta go upstairs.
SPEAKER_10I don't even have to listen to you.
SPEAKER_04Don't even have to listen to her. He still does it. Yeah, he does. Turning to your mom, you're just like, can I just level with you here? We both know why I'm here. And I just want to get my work done. I'm trying to do algebra. I don't know what these guys are doing, but I support you.
SPEAKER_05And Noah, oh no. What's his name? Caleb Heron? Is that his name? That's like a kind of doing.
Would You Teach Younger You
SPEAKER_05Honestly, put him on Dancing with the Stars.
SPEAKER_04Oh, he would. No, we yeah, can we go on like our dream dancing with the Stars guests? My dream? Yeah. Yourself. But other than yourself.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, wait, I was supposed to say, I was like, wait. Like Ash is celebrating. Okay. No, it's This is why we think about the questions before.
SPEAKER_04Oh, oh, oh, oh, I'm sorry. Like, if if you chose a celebrity that you would want to be a guest on Dancing with the Stars, who would you just unbotching it? Yes. But then we can also do who you'd want to dance with, but I just feel like the celebrity thing might be more afflicable.
SPEAKER_13Danny Debido.
SPEAKER_05Going on. Who have you partnered with? Daniela?
SPEAKER_13Don't matter you wouldn't.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_13No, don't matter. Jack Black would be funny.
SPEAKER_05There hasn't been any Jack.
SPEAKER_10There hasn't been anyone.
SPEAKER_06Cut that. I don't know. Oh, I do, I do. There's been there's been This is why we have to have pre-thought out questions because people say things have to be cut out.
SPEAKER_11No, this is just too funny.
SPEAKER_05I think, I mean. Jackbox to a list celebrity. They gotta be like B B minus to really. No, legit. You know what I'm saying? Like he can't be too big. Yeah, yeah. They gotta be honestly, yeah. I think Connor Wood is gonna eat. Oh, yeah, he's gonna eat. He has my boats. He has my boat. Who else? Who did? Y'all know who the cast is? You know who he is, probably. I don't know who I'll show you. Yeah, here. I'm gonna read it off for you.
SPEAKER_13Give me someone off one direction on there.
SPEAKER_05They're too big. They're too big.
SPEAKER_13Bit on Rush.
SPEAKER_04You can, yeah.
SPEAKER_05I think Gibby for my Carly should be on. Yes. Yo, Mrs. Benson. I think Kristen Wig would be hilarious.
SPEAKER_10The teacher who's also Canamontana. He needs to give me Earl.
SPEAKER_04Jason Earl. Yeah, he needs to be on me. He needs to be on. This is Gippling. One of the big crush guys did go, Carlo split. Oh really? I think I want to say. Oh yes, it's it is.
SPEAKER_03She was on um, she was she was just my kid.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I do think out of all the One Direction members, so I do think Louie could probably still go on and it would be fine. They are too big, but like if you had to choose one, I feel like he'd be the only one.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_21That's fair. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_05Now, if you were on, who would you want to dance with? Like, which pro would you want to dance with?
SPEAKER_21I don't know.
SPEAKER_20I don't know pros like that.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, I don't know the show.
SPEAKER_05Val. This is my absolute This is her Marvel. This is her Marvel. This is my mar. I like that. This is Dance with the Stars podcast. No. Arenas.
SPEAKER_04Get ready for the watch parties. Yeah, I'm I'm gonna have watch parties.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna go group chat. And I'll come.
SPEAKER_11Um you just randomly abruptly stopped, dude.
SPEAKER_05I would want to dance with Ezra. I think that's funny.
SPEAKER_04What? Hey, who had foul knowledge?
SPEAKER_10Somebody knew. I was hoping. I hope somebody caught that.
SPEAKER_04Who here has seen Star Wars Rebels? So this is what we do on the island.
SPEAKER_20So what about that?
SPEAKER_05So David brought up a good point earlier before we started recording the first podcast that there is a world in which Hulk and She-Hulk have children.
SPEAKER_10There is a comic where Hulk and She-Hulk do end up having kids, and it's in like a dystopian future where it's still incest, so the kids are like Hulkified incest babies.
SPEAKER_03Why did we bring this up?
SPEAKER_10Who eat people.
unknownOh gosh.
SPEAKER_10And like I was like, I don't want to hear it out too much. Like, she said it and I it came to mind, but like I was gonna bring it up before the podcast, so we didn't talk about it, but then she brought it up.
SPEAKER_05So well, this is my what you think. It's vindication. This is my opinion.
SPEAKER_11Ew, no, no.
SPEAKER_17Wait, y'all don't understand.
SPEAKER_11You don't understand, you don't understand their love.
SPEAKER_06See she hulk. She's just saying it's a little bit more.
SPEAKER_10I didn't even watch the first five minutes.
SPEAKER_03I did watch the first five minutes. Oh, I said this uh the other day, but Lawrence, I do have to apologize. I have not, I did not know this, but I haven't seen all of Hawkeye officially. I thought I did, but there's still episodes left. It's a good show. So I judged it before I finished it.
SPEAKER_13No, yeah. The first few shows that Disney Plus put out for Marvel were like really back to back, consistently good.
SPEAKER_10Loki, I think is the best one.
SPEAKER_13Also the ending of Loki season two was like one of the best. It's like it was just so good. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Can I just say I wish there was like so I don't know how to put it like I just wish there was like an app that you could talk about like Hawkeye or like really just Jeremy Renner on Reddit. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_10Like I said, no girl, she's setting up a bit right now.
SPEAKER_04There's only one specific, just Jeremy Renner. I don't want Reddit. He has he made it.
SPEAKER_20I gotta Reddit. What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_04So my favorite little like internet war thing is that after their like first or second Avengers movie, Jeremy Renner was like flowing up. And he this tea thought it would be a great idea to make something like Twitter, but just for people to talk about Jeremy Renner. Like it that's the whole thing. It's like the Reddit app or something like that. It's ridiculous.
SPEAKER_06Hey, let's do that for just a stock and we should.
SPEAKER_04But it got like hacked, and I can't remember what happened, but it got like flooded with just like awful stuff they had to shut it down. But everybody clowned with them. Like, hey, to me, the pitch meeting, like to be in that room, he's like, guys, I just like I just really think it would be a great move next for our team if we just had an app about me.
SPEAKER_03About me, people really just to talk about James. Have a save space.
SPEAKER_04For me, for me, for me, for me. For me. Who here would have like the best app about them though? Like if there was an app made about them? I don't know.
SPEAKER_13It could it could function the same way, or it could be like a lot of you guys would be interesting for that. I feel like people who like any of y'all who are with kids, if you all just see funny stuff, if you're like just the app we just like write down funny stuff that happens with kids.
SPEAKER_03My app would be like bring to bring back Vine. That'd be my app.
SPEAKER_04Just Vine again.
SPEAKER_10Just Vine again. I saw it too.
SPEAKER_05La La Land has merch.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, no, the official La La Land account posted it. I saw it when we first started filming, but I didn't want to interrupt it, but Gracie said.
SPEAKER_04This is an impulse purchase from me. Like on the pod, it's gonna really Morgan Synthesis.
SPEAKER_03No, it's looking tough. Let me just I can black one. Done. And that's like one of those, and one of those and one of these, and one of those. Maybe don't have more.
SPEAKER_13Speaking of Lola, what's the movie you could if you could change the ending of it? What
Movies We Would Rewrite
SPEAKER_13movie would he change?
SPEAKER_06I what's the one when it's 9-11? Remember me.
SPEAKER_10I was gonna say endgame, but yeah.
SPEAKER_06I just wanted to be funny. Endgame.
SPEAKER_10Because that was freaking because after I've seen so much. And I've been re-watching the uh MCU movies uh with my parents because my mother's never seen them. And we've been like getting ready, getting her ready for Doomsday. And I like re-watching the Avengers and Iron Man. Like, I am like, dude, he was the perfect cast. Yeah. Like, why did we gotta kill off Robert Downey Jr.
SPEAKER_06No, literally. Hey uh I think about that every day. That's my Roman Empire.
SPEAKER_13Maybe not an ending, but from Transformers 3 when Ironhide got smoked by Sentinel Prime. Do you want anyone? Yes.
SPEAKER_10Do you know how that movie was supposed to end? Like, no, no. So originally the movie was gonna end instead of Optimus killing Megatron, they were going to team up against Sentinel and then just go their separate ways and be like, hey, war's over. Like they kind of like ended the war peacefully.
SPEAKER_13That would have been sick. What?
SPEAKER_17Tyree's face. What are you trying to talk about?
SPEAKER_04Sorry.
SPEAKER_10Tyree looked like she turned off.
SPEAKER_11Like her entire brain.
SPEAKER_04Nobody ever knows that, so I'm like always so excited to talk about it.
SPEAKER_10You know what? Just cut it.
SPEAKER_06It's okay.
SPEAKER_03It's okay.
SPEAKER_10Cut me out. Cut me out of the entire thing.
SPEAKER_04No, no, no.
SPEAKER_03I think I've seen it. I don't remember it. Do you have something you want to yap about?
SPEAKER_06Kill me now.
SPEAKER_03MG. Who I want to yap about. What would you like to say? What did
Beach Day And Wave Chaos
SPEAKER_03we do yesterday? We went to the beach yesterday. Oh. And the water was amazing. It was rough, but two very different answers.
SPEAKER_02That's what she said.
SPEAKER_03It was amazing. It was amazing. It was amazing until we got like felt nice. Did it give me a chance to stand up? No. No. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. I'm pouring my heart out here. That was the way your feet went up too.
SPEAKER_11I was so scared.
unknownI was so scared.
Mario Kart Picks And Game Nostalgia
SPEAKER_04Wait, what's what's everyone's go-to Mario Kart character? Yoshi. Yes, I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_10Yoshi or Donkey Kong? Uh Luigi.
SPEAKER_05I'm an O Yoshi girl.
SPEAKER_10Yoshi's such a white girl thing.
SPEAKER_05This might not be cut. I like Diddy Kong.
SPEAKER_10Why would that have to be cut?
SPEAKER_06Because you say that might be cut now. But if you just said it was a couple of things. Oh no, I think it's fine.
SPEAKER_10No, we're not cutting it. No, keep it in.
SPEAKER_05I like baby toad.
SPEAKER_03Baby Toad. I don't always speak Daisy as well. I don't like the baby ones. Daisy. The baby ones are cute. Daisy. Did you guys see that you can play eight players now on Mario Kart?
SPEAKER_04Oh, look at the eating red. We pause and we start playing Mario Kart during the episode. We'll be right back.
SPEAKER_05We live stream it with Twitch. Perfect. And we're gonna start playing it. His OG Wii?
SPEAKER_13Oh yes. It works. Yes, I forgot last night. It was like in the box still.
SPEAKER_04What? Can I just say every day I'm so upset that we got rid of our Wii? Like we're the Wii. Because I used to spam Lego Rock Band every day of the week. Okay, that's where my music takes.
SPEAKER_13All the Lego games back in the day, like Lego Harry Potter, Lego Batman.
SPEAKER_04Lego Indiana Jones? Low-key. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_10I think it was for me. I think it was either the Marvel superheroes or Batman 2. Oh, so good. Those ones are so good.
SPEAKER_05Do you remember that monkey one? There was like one where it's like a sock monkey.
SPEAKER_04Oh shoot, I know what you're talking about. You don't have a monkey. Banana ball. I can't remember what it's called. No, it's a sock monkey. Sack boy?
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_01That's a game.
SPEAKER_06Has that ever been a thing?
SPEAKER_01Yes, that is a thing.
SPEAKER_06Pull it up. Pull it up. It was like. On what?
SPEAKER_03Mario Super Sluggers. That was my go-to. Oh, please. Hello, Mario. Super Smash Bros. Listen. Dog walking Ollie on the Super Smash. No. I fear I'm dog walking myself on that game.
SPEAKER_04Kirby the whole time. What's the freaking backyard baseball? Yes. This is awful, but I not awful. Actually, never mind.
SPEAKER_11No, no, no, no, no, no. It's awesome.
SPEAKER_04Because it's not awful. It's awesome. But every time I played as the kid in the wheelchair, I was cooking.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04Look, he could look he would no, look, I know how that sounds good. He was faster than the others. I swear to you. I think they did it to like empower people. You know what I mean? And Lori's like, I'm taking advantage of that.
SPEAKER_03And I was empowered. And I was empowered. Because he was black, wasn't he?
SPEAKER_10Nope. Don't worry.
SPEAKER_03Hey. Don't sleep on my people.
SPEAKER_20Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03No, but we almost got killed by the waves yesterday, though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Because they were it was like the wave. So the water would like from the sh the shore, it would push you into the wave, and then the wave would push you back out. It's like you're getting like thrown one way and then thrown the other way. And I was like, okay, so I'm getting out of the water now.
SPEAKER_06How did you guys not get burned? It was hot.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I did. I notion.
SPEAKER_06And we're just like sun-kissed. It's very very tasteful, very beautiful. Thank you. Like ideologies.
SPEAKER_03SBF is 70. SBF is high. Yeah. It was a high UV too.
SPEAKER_02I fear I'm better at putting my face sunscreen on than I am about other sunscreens. But yeah.
SPEAKER_04I that made me think of this. And it was a story. I can't remember. Was it last week? I was supposed to tell it. Or I can't remember what the topic came up and I realized afterwards that I had. I don't know what the question was, but it made me think of it because it's kind of on theme. Maybe we're just talking about the Great Wolf Lodge. Yeah. I don't know.
Near-Drowning Stories And Ocean Power
SPEAKER_04But I drowned at the Great Wolf Lodge. But she's still here with the five.
SPEAKER_10But you're still alive.
SPEAKER_04No. Hey, by the way, being saved by a lifeguard is just as humbling as you think it would be. I was.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_04I think I was like 10. I don't know. Oh. Rough year. That was the same year that my pants fell down.
SPEAKER_11Just a whole year was going wrong for me.
SPEAKER_04It was a bad year for me. Was he a cute lifeguard? I don't know. She was on the brink of death. Wait, did he give you C PR? No. That would have been so much. No, no. I was we were at Green Off Lodge and And it was the wave pool. And I went in with my brothers, and they were joking me. They're like, you can't come out as far as us. And I was like, no, I can't, I can't. And so I swam out. I was like, see, I can be out here, and I couldn't stand. And then they turned on the wave pool. And because I thought it was on already going out. And then they turned it on and literally, like, first wave. Like, boom, underneath. Like, what's that video that people clip where it's like the person dropping into the water? Like, that's what it was.
SPEAKER_20I felt like Morgan.
SPEAKER_04But I just remember like trying to like come back up. And then my brothers were like, they couldn't. I don't know if they just didn't realize what was happening or like they couldn't grab me. I remember like in the water, seeing my dad coming down the side, and then the lifeguard, like just dropping his hand in and grabbing me and pulling it me out with one arm.
SPEAKER_06But you were that close to the wall? You could have just grabbed me. Yeah. I thought you're like in the middle of a practical ocean. You can't go there.
SPEAKER_04No, right by the side. Right. You grabbed onto the wall. Hey, my survival instincts had not developed by then.
SPEAKER_05That's why she was chosen for comfort. For vegan.
SPEAKER_01I've chosen words both times.
SPEAKER_05Both times.
SPEAKER_04Now I have an ability to lock in in serious situations or dangerous situations, but in that moment, I was just like.
SPEAKER_05That was me coming out of the full.
SPEAKER_04You're so funny, Green. You mean going full catness at the way, full of crayouflage? Oh my gosh. No, but I I felt the need to tell that story because I can't remember why.
SPEAKER_02What did your brother say? Did they witness this happen? Yeah, that's a hard shit.
SPEAKER_06They're their fault. Did they get in trouble?
SPEAKER_04Oh, for sure. Oh, good, good.
SPEAKER_02And they didn't save you?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_10So you did say they were trying.
SPEAKER_04I well, in my okay, I can't fully remember. I feel like they probably were trying, but at the same time, the ages that we all were was like the peak of Ryan and Aaron's beef. Like they were like just always arguing at this point. And so I feel like they were probably like, I thought you, you know, like she couldn't come out here. Like, why'd you let her come out here? And they're like, no, but it's your fault. Meanwhile, I'm in the back, just like, oh, dying. Like actively drowning. And they're like, this is your fault.
SPEAKER_06Dad's gonna be so ticked. Yeah, your dad'd be upset that they let you go out drown. Yeah, but you're out.
SPEAKER_02That's funny, too. Wave pool. My dad actually like got lost at sea, kind of like one time. He was like, I I can't remember the full story, but like he something happened where the water was too rough and he got out too far, and a lifeguard had to come. Wave pool? No, no, no, sorry.
SPEAKER_06He got lost at sea.
SPEAKER_03Oh, whoa. Me too. Me too. Okay. There's a like crazy.
SPEAKER_02Like at the beach? Yes. Okay. In the ocean. He got out too far somehow. I think the water was too rough, and like it took him out. I don't know the full story. It almost was. If we hadn't gotten out when we did. And a lifeguard had to come out like on a little jet ski or something like that and save him. Yeah. I was like, that is we always would play like Lost at Sea as kids, but I was like, wait. He was. He was. Sorry, Dad. That actually happened to you. What does he remember about that experience? I mean, just the fact that you have no control. Like the ocean is just so powerful.
SPEAKER_06The ocean is an ever-changing. The density gets harder the deeper you go.
SPEAKER_02Hey, that's like a top five quote of podcasts.
SPEAKER_10That was before I learned that I needed caffeine before these.
Ranking The Most Unhinged Moments
SPEAKER_06I love laughing.
SPEAKER_10I think my favorite. What was our most unhinged episode so far, you guys think?
SPEAKER_04I I hate to say it. I think it was the one that Gracie was not here for. Yeah. Purely because I I guess I don't know if it was like.
SPEAKER_06I don't know. I listened to that one back and it doesn't quite hit the same. In the moment, I was like, that was the same.
SPEAKER_10No, I re-listened to it and I think it's hilarious.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I do think it's funny. Yeah, it's definitely not unhinged, huh?
SPEAKER_13Good context with that one.
SPEAKER_04It was like we did the like six to eight minute bit about a chime card. Whereas around a minute three, Gracie would be like, guys, we gotta move on. And it would be the right thing.
SPEAKER_06So guess what?
SPEAKER_03We're gonna say one thing about us. One thing about us, we can drag a joke. And we did.
SPEAKER_06Truly did.
SPEAKER_04So I yeah, I I guess I wouldn't say that's our most unhinged one. I just that's the first one to come to mind because it wasn't as like I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I genuinely think, like I probably laughed harder than I ever have that episode.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like I think my like my veins were about to pop out of my face.
SPEAKER_06Like it was so it was our hot take episode. That's that I think is what set it over the edge.
SPEAKER_02And I laugh just as hard every time I listen back to it. Like the chime card bit every single time.
SPEAKER_10Oh my gosh, it's it's such a legendary bit.
SPEAKER_04Also, I think that our hear me outs episode was that happened.
SPEAKER_10I'm I re-listened to that and I'm disappointed in myself. Like, yeah, I'm very disappointed in myself.
SPEAKER_04And can I just say, like, I gave the context to some co-workers of the conversation of just like, I I've thought about this to this day, and it makes me laugh out loud about how like we're all like saying hear me outs and we're like, oh, and then it gets to David's turn and he says one, and it's immediately the room turns on him and is like, you freak. Yeah, right. Well, I re listened to that and I'm like, how dare you!
SPEAKER_10I knew going into that episode, I was like, because part of me did think I was like, I should just go with some safe bets here so I don't get yelled at. But then when I would do that.
SPEAKER_11Okay, I don't know. I didn't I didn't think of a number like Morgan did.
SPEAKER_06You didn't think of a tuxedo without a or a guitar, a floating guitar. Listen, I stand by it. What can I say? It actually gives me the ick of a man plays the guitar. So I also though it's not my favorite. I don't know actually what episode it is, but when a cockroach falls on Morgan, are you listening to that? It's just that clip that like I'm like crying laughing. Because like, without the context, I don't know, it's just hilarious. And we cut out like five minutes after that of us still freaking out and screaming and just being like, ooh, we have to stop.
SPEAKER_04And it's it's too funny. It's too good. Actually, our legitimately most unhinged episode was the first one that we never released.
SPEAKER_20I forget what was that about?
SPEAKER_04I cannot remember for the life of it. I think we didn't choose a topic or no, we had to. We did.
SPEAKER_06Someone's like, if you what job would you have, like based on your personality? Oh, yeah. I forgot about it. And it was like, yeah. It just got funny. It just got funny. It got very good. Like, or whatever. Like, you had the oral scroll work.
SPEAKER_04Jump bark.
SPEAKER_06What? Telling all the kids at Dodgeball.
SPEAKER_04I think I heard two noises at once, and it sounds like how did you do that? I heard my voice. Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_13Well, it's never released.
SPEAKER_06There's some reason.
SPEAKER_10I just think it was us getting like used to what we know. It was us getting used to it.
SPEAKER_06Boring is maybe the wrong word, but like I just don't think we were in our groove. We also talked about like how we met each other, but it was kind of boring because we didn't think about it that much. We were all like, small groove. Small groove.
SPEAKER_09No, wait, no, that's one of our episodes we have released.
SPEAKER_06No, well, then you redid it when you chose the topics. But our very first one, we had questions. Yeah. And I feel like now we thought about it more. We're like, oh, actually, I met you here and here, but for that episode, everyone was like, church, and then we just moved on.
SPEAKER_04I think we went from ping pong from boring to then like things. Way too unfortunate.
SPEAKER_06I think I was saying a lot of like historical things about certain stuff, simply 9-11s. Right, right.
SPEAKER_10She has a favorite topic, believe it or not, guys.
SPEAKER_03Guys.
Board Games Feet Talk And Pedicure Horror
SPEAKER_03So, what is your guys' favorite Monopoly piece? Ooh!
SPEAKER_21Oh, yeah, let me see. The thimble.
SPEAKER_10I gotta look this up. The thimble. For me, I like the top hat.
SPEAKER_20Is there a dog? Is there like a little dog here? LARPE. She's LARPing Monopoly.
SPEAKER_06I don't know.
SPEAKER_10Nobody here gonna choose the car? Morgan, are you looking at what the different pieces are?
SPEAKER_06But I forgot. Listen, listen. I just don't know the lore of Monopoly. I got my but it's because I I don't know if this is a hot take. I hate Monopoly. I really hate it.
SPEAKER_10Oh, dude, I'm not a huge fan of Monopoly either.
SPEAKER_06So I would not like it.
SPEAKER_10Crazy looks like she's stressing over it, right? Hand on the forehead.
SPEAKER_04The man on the horse. What is that?
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's what I'm gonna do.
SPEAKER_10Dude, same.
SPEAKER_03In my household, we played Fortnite Monopoly.
SPEAKER_06We have Canada Oppoly. Girl, no! Hampton Roads, Hampton Roads Monopoly. So it's about like our places here where we live. Oh, I've seen that.
SPEAKER_10I forget.
SPEAKER_04See, we used to play Risk instead of Monopoly at our house.
SPEAKER_10Risk is fun. I like Risk.
SPEAKER_04We had like, my brother had like a modified version of it to where it would only take like three hours max instead of like eight, which was nice.
SPEAKER_09But why is Risk taking you eight hours?
SPEAKER_12If you play it right.
SPEAKER_06We have to like set up a separate table and leave it there because we couldn't the whole time.
SPEAKER_04Because it gets so like monotonous at some points where you're just like, okay.
SPEAKER_06Good, good guys.
SPEAKER_10Okay, one question. Why does everybody here almost always have the dogs out?
SPEAKER_06What? I have socks on.
SPEAKER_10I never wear shoes. You almost always have your dogs out. This is just a rare case.
SPEAKER_02What is your problem? Because we're in a home. You took off your face.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, this is a comfort of my own home. Sometimes I remember though. It's because you don't have pretty feet. Guys, group pedicures.
SPEAKER_01I thought you were gonna say group feet fixed. After the pedicures. After the pedicures. No, we need before.
SPEAKER_03No, the last.
SPEAKER_01She took my joke.
SPEAKER_03The last time I got a pedicure, it was for my friend's wedding. Like I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. And so we all went, like the group of bridesmaids, and they accidentally filled up this lady's tub too much. And so they scooped water out of her tub. Oh what?
SPEAKER_04No. It was so she had like a fungus or something.
SPEAKER_03Like that's it was actually our last guest, Caleb, was his mom. So thankfully I knew. Okay. But I was like, That's still gross. I still don't want your feet water. No.
SPEAKER_05Hey, are you guys Bachelor or Bachelorette literate? Like, do you guys know what the people are? No. No. You do. You know Pilot P? Mm-hmm. He hates having triplets. Pilot P. P he's having triplets. That's fitting. Never mind.
SPEAKER_11Out of boy. You turn a dog. You know what I was doing.
SPEAKER_20So we're doing for Labor Day weekend. Working.
SPEAKER_10I'm not working, actually. I was gonna ask you guys what you guys were doing for Labor Day.
SPEAKER_03Well, working. Well.
SPEAKER_04We lost our queen. One week's not long enough.
SPEAKER_05I saw the bit that Dr. Field died too, and I almost crashed out. It was fake. My feed has been doing that.
SPEAKER_06It keeps popping up like people have been putting it.
SPEAKER_10I didn't believe at first I didn't believe Peter Cullen died. Because like so many people had died. I was like, I I kept seeing like fake deaths, and then like official accounts everywhere are posting that. I was like, this can't be.
SPEAKER_06They'll do like it's like a gray-out background, and they're like, unfortunately. Yeah. And then they'll say, like, talking about it. Stop it right now.
The Cockroach Emergency
SPEAKER_04Ew! No!
SPEAKER_06David, do it!
SPEAKER_04It's a big one! Holy crap! It's a converse!
SPEAKER_06No. No! No, wait, wait. Oh, his laces!
SPEAKER_17Wait, let me get it.
SPEAKER_04Mind you, David is unlacing his Converse so fast.
SPEAKER_05David. He just unlaced his high top Converse to kill this roach right now.
SPEAKER_04Okay, I'm actually recording this for the time. And trying to take the shoe off of the time. She said, no! And kicked him.
SPEAKER_05Oh wait, where's the? He can't do it. It's sitting in the corner. He can't quite reach it.
SPEAKER_20He made it.
SPEAKER_04Guys, that video will be going on our Instagram this week. For a moment like this. Guys.
SPEAKER_01I still have it for you. Wake me up.
SPEAKER_06That was too crazy.
SPEAKER_13She's trying to get it. Good job.
SPEAKER_04I wish we did you get that part on video? Yeah. Uh no. I don't think so. I wish you got Tyreek. Yeah. Mind you, David tried to grab Tyra's shoe off of her foot. No. So half the time now. No. No. They were strapped. They were strapped on her.
SPEAKER_11How can I equip a weapon quickly?
SPEAKER_04They're flip-flops. They are strapped on her. No, hey, no, hey. Thank you for killing the road. Yes. Yes. Thank you for killing the road, David.
SPEAKER_06But for context, why are you gonna understand?
SPEAKER_10You don't understand.
SPEAKER_06Get away from our mic. Go for whatever. You have your own mic.
SPEAKER_04Okay, while while David's gone, what actually happened? No, mind you, half of that screaming was David trying to physically pull like Tyrese's strapped on like sandals off of her foot to use as a weapon.
SPEAKER_06They're not actually really strapped on. I thought they were.
SPEAKER_04Okay, well, still, anyway, it's it's David actually trying to pull it off of Tyree's foot to use.
SPEAKER_06I'm so sorry, Tyree. That might be trauma for me. No, Tyree, I'm so sorry. Let's interview her after this.
SPEAKER_03How are you feeling, Tyree?
SPEAKER_06How's everyone feeling? Solomon, get out of here.
SPEAKER_03Not my chanclas.
SPEAKER_06Not these. Okay.
SPEAKER_03My thought. Hey, David, women's speaking. Let's hear you guys. When I was in the ninth grade, we used to have classes in like those portables, those janky portables. And one of them always had roaches in them. And there's this guy who would always like to take a shoe and like smack them. And our teacher was like, don't do that, because if they're pregnant, their babies are just gonna sprawl out everywhere. From that day forward, I was like, nobody's using my shoe.
SPEAKER_10They carry their babies.
SPEAKER_13I think we're spiders. Yeah, that's the thing.
SPEAKER_03I've seen it happen with a spider once, and it was divorced. Hey, I'm not gonna pass it out. No, not gonna take that chance. Burn it. No, it's not. What was your thought process? So my thought process was it's behind me. No, also, too, I didn't realize that you were trying to take my shoe. I was trying to get out of the room.
SPEAKER_11Oh, did you think I was like trying to block you or something?
SPEAKER_03No, no.
SPEAKER_11Okay, I would not do that. Like, I'm not staying. I have You will suffer with us.
SPEAKER_06I have to escape. And I was like, what? Which I think is weird.
SPEAKER_03Broaches really make me emotional. So I cannot.
SPEAKER_10Because I thought to myself, I was like, all right, whose shoes are in here? And Tyree's got like flip-flops on. So I was thinking, oh, let me just yank that and hit it. Because I've got Converse on. Believe it or not, those are not easy to take off.
SPEAKER_04Oh, take Lawrence's shoes instead.
SPEAKER_11I throw Lawrence at it like the Hulk with Loki.
SPEAKER_04That Rocha's moving fast. That is huge. That's how David and Lawrence would be moving on an island together. You got that one, bro, though we throw it to the tree. Come on. I got it. Get the Coke done. We're surviving.
SPEAKER_10It's like uh it's like uh Mr. Incredible and Mrs.
SPEAKER_04Bob, throw me! Brace yourselves! Brace yourselves! Okay, before the roach thing happened, I had a question kind of on the top we were
Which Celebrity Death Hits Hard
SPEAKER_04on. But who is because this has happened to me before when Betty White died, Gracie called me to tell me before I found out from the news because I needed it. Because for context, I love golden girls. And also just Betty White in general. But who is like a celebrity that if they die, like we need to call you and be like, you need to find this out from me first. Truly Andrews. Yeah. Keanu Reeves. That's a good one.
SPEAKER_10Keanu Reeves.
SPEAKER_04For me personally, Carol King. I don't call me, but also don't hit me up. You know what I mean? Call me but don't call me. You know what I mean? Call me and then just like leave me for like three days.
SPEAKER_10You know what's so sad? It was Peter Colen. Like genuinely, I was I would talk to my dad about it. I was like, dude, when he dies, that's gonna be so sad. Because he we both grew up on Transformers.
SPEAKER_21Oh David. Well, you have a second one.
SPEAKER_03Probably Keanu Reese. Hmm. I feel like mine would be Bobby Flay. Going, Goy. Gordon Ramsay, him too. Hey, those are both my men. Who else? I feel like Zendaya. Yeah. I didn't even think about it.
SPEAKER_13Something like Morgan Freeman. Well, people Morgan Freeman. He's going downhill.
SPEAKER_03Morgan Freeman.
SPEAKER_04Who is it? Answer Uncle Pod. Answer on the pod. Yes. Hello? Hey, by the way, Peter Kolk.
SPEAKER_11It's Morgan. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_04I literally was like, for a second.
SPEAKER_05I was so mad at you.
SPEAKER_04I was like, dude, stop sticking out of the city. What are you gonna say? I say no call right now.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_04I said 67 David. No, you said Peter. I said, by the way, Peter Connor. Oh, oh my god! That's so messed up. That's clever.
SPEAKER_10I'm not gonna lie, my heart just sank to my butt.
SPEAKER_04No colour. He got you that bad. No card scene. Everybody star 67 David from now on.
SPEAKER_11No, don't do that.
SPEAKER_04Remember 757.
SPEAKER_06I kind of wish it was a spam call though. Sorry, guys.
SPEAKER_10I would have done one of my impressions.
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_16Put it on pod.
Prank Call Memories And Star 67
SPEAKER_13Well, y'all were kids, you don't like print call people your friends? Ding dong ditch. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10I did ding dong ditch. Oh, dude. But I probably, me and my friends chose the worst guy in the neighborhood. He was like an ex-marine who was recently divorced.
SPEAKER_20Like, we were like recently divorced.
SPEAKER_04That poor guy. And he's like, he's going through it. And you're like, you know what be funny?
SPEAKER_11We didn't know because we were kids at the time. Like, I'm so funny.
SPEAKER_04You know the guy whose second car hasn't been there in a month?
SPEAKER_20Shut up!
SPEAKER_03That's weird.
SPEAKER_20Shut up. Where are we at? Where are we at, girl? No, we gotta keep going. This is too cool. This is a good thing. No, we gotta keep going.
SPEAKER_03Me and my cousin, this is 13 or 14 or something like that. We a prank called her crush, like Star 67, but her crush was with I forget how it was with somebody else. And he knew, like It was uh you guys, it was us. And then he called then my phone and was like, hey, like, did you guys just prank call? No, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_04Who would do such a thing? Should we prank call somebody right now?
SPEAKER_13Yes, yes. Who?
SPEAKER_11Who?
SPEAKER_04My dad. Oh. Your dad. You're dead. Well Maybe not. Actually, hold on, hold on. Maybe. What about Ryan?
unknownGod.
SPEAKER_17Ryan's a good one. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Oh good.
SPEAKER_08Should I do one of my voices? Yes.
SPEAKER_04Should I do a voice? Yeah, let's do it. Yeah, what's what's a good thing?
SPEAKER_08Oh, yeah, we gotta think of something.
SPEAKER_04Say the Morgan's in jail.
SPEAKER_08No, wait, should I be like, is your reference? Is your refrigerator running?
unknownNo, no, no.
SPEAKER_04Have a serious police operator and be like, okay, get a script up, look up what they say when it's collect calls.
SPEAKER_03Someone's YouTube ones, like collect call from, you know, whatever, the automated.
SPEAKER_04And then I'll like rush in my message to him or something like that. Okay, so but it's always like a girl's voice, though. So what do y'all need to do? Like the this is a collect call from the county jail. Like something like that.
SPEAKER_10I'm just calling you today to let you know your sister is currently. But why would she call Ryan bar?
SPEAKER_04What?
SPEAKER_10She is listening. She you are you are listed as one of her.
SPEAKER_04I think Ryan would believe I would call him. Okay, no, yeah, because he's like
SPEAKER_10You were listed as one of the emergency contacts.
SPEAKER_04I think you believe I would call him.
SPEAKER_05Or you'd call your dad. Well, in your thing, saying that.
SPEAKER_10I think she'd call you first.
SPEAKER_05And then Yeah.
SPEAKER_17Okay, we need to like figure out though, because isn't it usually You will not be charged for this call. This call is from an inmate of Gloucester County Correctional Epsilon.
SPEAKER_05Inmate?
SPEAKER_17Is that Siri? Like, what if I'm typing it next to you? Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_05Wait, but at Gloucester County, because you can look at the location on the situation. Oh, you're right, you're right. Let me let me turn off my location. No, because you can look at the location that quit over the phone. Well, just do it in case. Just do it in case.
SPEAKER_06Although, does it alert them?
SPEAKER_04No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_06Why should she say no?
SPEAKER_04She knows it doesn't. It'll be like last known location or something like that. Uh oh.
SPEAKER_06I think the girls have too iconic of a voice to be able to tell, maybe. David, do your best woman voice.
SPEAKER_10I can't do that. I'm not gonna lie. I can't do women voice. Or like a. I could do like the uh the southern woman. Hey, sweetheart.
SPEAKER_04Uh it just we have just Google like what it says at a correctional facility and use that as a script. Because it has to be automated, and then I'm rushing to fit in my message. Like that's what it has to say.
SPEAKER_11I don't even know what to look up here. What to say.
SPEAKER_06What to say? What to say? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tyree, chat list.
SPEAKER_10Burn some of our water.
SPEAKER_04Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_06Oh.
SPEAKER_03This is for it here.
SPEAKER_08Oh, wait.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we have some.
SPEAKER_03Hold on, I'm cooking.
SPEAKER_04Okay, it says you have a you have a uh you have a collect call from an inmate at a Virginia correctional facility to accept this call, press one or stay on the line. What's the facility's name? What's a jail near here?
SPEAKER_05Correctional facility. Just make it out. He's not gonna know.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05He's not I don't think he's you know. He's not thinking that that's a real quick.
SPEAKER_13Does he how about does he know you? I mean-ish.
SPEAKER_03We talked about it. St. Bride's Correctional Center.
SPEAKER_13Wait, as we talk, I have a funny story.
SPEAKER_03Chesapeake Indian Creek. Indian Creek, yeah. Chesapeake Correctional Center. There's one. We'll practice we'll do a quick practice before we actually.
SPEAKER_13Well one time it was it was late at night. I was just I was watching a police thing go down. Next thing I know, look over this guy's like creeping next to my window, and I was like, hey man, like you know where's there's open food anywhere? I said, no. Long story short, I ended up giving you a ride home. Later that night, I was like trying to find out what happened with all the police, and I found out that the guy that I picked up was recently like let out of like jail or like the whole thing in the area. So I like picked up like some random He didn't it wasn't an escape. He just he just got out like he was supposed to be. Uh so he was just fire of like, oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Should David call for PS films. Would it be a the same area code for like an hour?
SPEAKER_06Just right if it's a I think Ryan might have my number though. You've texted him before. Is anybody not passed the fish?
SPEAKER_10Dude, I'm too nervous. I don't think I can do this.
SPEAKER_06You can do my David. I need to be on the same mic as David so we can just argue. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I'm a video. I could have just.
SPEAKER_10I'm nervous, dude. Wait, does anybody have a script? I need a script.
SPEAKER_12Hold on.
SPEAKER_10You won't trust us with your password?
SPEAKER_12What? I don't need to tell you guys my password. He doesn't trust us. It's easier. I mean, I'll tell you guys, but it's easier for kind of just the same as mine.
SPEAKER_04That, except instead of saying Virginia Correctional Facility, just say like Indian Creek Correctional or something like that.
SPEAKER_10Indian Creek?
SPEAKER_04Correctional. Indian Creek Correctional. I don't know if I can go off script.
SPEAKER_06You can just say that for this.
SPEAKER_10What's my police voice?
SPEAKER_06No, no, no. Your normal voice. You're an automated voicemail, David.
SPEAKER_12Oh, an automated voice.
SPEAKER_09My AI voice.
SPEAKER_04Just change it. Go ahead and say it. Practice it, practice it, practice it.
SPEAKER_09You have a collect call from an inmate at Virginia Correctional Facility. That's not very good.
SPEAKER_06No, I think someone might need to type it out when it doesn't say Virginia, because he's gonna say it.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, I am. I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_04What fake crime should I have committed? Like, what should I say?
SPEAKER_10Breaking an inner No.
SPEAKER_04No, just say wait. Oh my god. I'd be like, Ryan, I accidentally was driving without my license. I didn't realize the chest of the city. You can bring it to me or something like that.
SPEAKER_06You don't go to jail for that. You have to have to say you have a reckless with it.
SPEAKER_13That should get locked up and make a thumbnail. Something pretty like.
SPEAKER_05No, I think you should do speeding, reckless speeding, and if you've got your license, and so he should all he has to do is come bring it to you. Not like you're gonna stay there overnight. Something like that is low-key believable.
SPEAKER_12Because that is believable, yeah.
SPEAKER_05I love how crazy it too.
SPEAKER_00What about Morgan? Look at this.
SPEAKER_12Yes.
SPEAKER_00You were receiving a collect call from Morgan, an inmate at the Chesapeake Correction.
SPEAKER_03It needs to be sped up a little. Okay, never mind.
SPEAKER_02Wait, no, that's kind of good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_10I like that.
SPEAKER_02I think it'd be better than as long as he doesn't hang up right away. Because he's like, oh, this is span.
SPEAKER_04Wait, should we leave the gap for me to say my name in there? Yes, no. So that it's because I feel like it's like recording you. You have tears like Morgan. If we do that, okay. If we do that, then you need the phone, and then I need to jump over here. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Let me see if it'll work.
SPEAKER_06Rat, right.
SPEAKER_00This is what happens when we don't have a topic. This call is subject to monitoring and recording. To accept the call, press one. To decline it, hang up.
SPEAKER_13Is that any flashbacks? I had a friend that's called. It was like that.
SPEAKER_00It was something like this, and then this call is subject to monitoring and it's not a good thing. That's fine. I think it's fine.
SPEAKER_06Wait, we can't add you saying your name in it.
SPEAKER_04I think it's fine leaving it as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Wait, let me.
SPEAKER_06But then hold it.
SPEAKER_12Put it near your microphone. This is so good. Oh, thank you.
SPEAKER_06Here, I don't I don't need a plug. So it's also three. No, that was me. Oh my gosh. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_21Morgan, let's see. That's hard.
SPEAKER_17All right. Okay.
SPEAKER_10Oh my gosh.
Fake Jail Collect Call Prank
SPEAKER_10It's hard when you're like, you know what?
SPEAKER_18The person you're trying to reach is not available. Please record your message. When you have finished recording, you may hang up.
SPEAKER_00You were receiving a collect call from an inmate at the Chesapeake Correctional Center. This call is subject to monitoring and recording. To accept the call, press one. To decline it, hang up.
SPEAKER_04Ryan, I don't know how to explain what just happened. I forgot my license. I was driving without it and I was speeding down the back roads. I don't know what happened. I was on the way to the podcast, and I just, I don't know. I'm freaking out. I don't know. I don't have my license. I need you to bring it to me. It was a reckless and I didn't have it, so they said I have to stay here overnight if you don't bring it to me. Can you like please come? I tried calling dad, he didn't answer.
SPEAKER_20It's so long, but that was good.
SPEAKER_04I literally thought you were gonna cry.
SPEAKER_10Text your dad. Text your dad and tell him play along.
SPEAKER_05Because I'm with her. Yeah, with her. Should I text Ryan and be like, just give him a second for the playoffs?
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna text dad and be like, we just prank called Ryan on the pack podcast. If he asks you what happens, don't like just act confused.
SPEAKER_10If they're together, that'll be sure.
SPEAKER_04They're not, don't worry, I double check.
SPEAKER_02She's way ahead of me.
SPEAKER_10Also, her acting skills.
SPEAKER_03Is there someone else we can play? Thank you, thank you. I literally thought you were gonna cry. Like, yeah, great. If he calls back, quickly chuck the phone over here.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, I can't answer it because that's not like a I can answer it.
SPEAKER_06David, we'll go on the fly.
SPEAKER_09Two phones of the phones.
SPEAKER_06Oh my gosh. I want you to answer. Otherwise, this is we built this all up for nothing. Our viewers are disappointed.
SPEAKER_10Miss Buck, it would be Mr.
SPEAKER_04And guys, cast me in any upcoming productions that the hurrah players. I do have acting experience.
SPEAKER_05Acting experience.
SPEAKER_06David, would any of your friends believe you were thrown in jail? Can we call we call it?
SPEAKER_10I'm not gonna lie, compared to a lot of my friends, I'm the least likely. That's and that like believe it or not.
SPEAKER_04Believe it or not. Can we prank Paul Brooks as the uh toe tickler guy? What?
SPEAKER_06The Hilton Toe Sucker.
SPEAKER_05The Hilton Toe Sucker!
SPEAKER_10What are you talking about? Bro, you don't know about the Hilton toe sucker?
SPEAKER_05No, I don't know what is.
SPEAKER_04I messed up because I accidentally did the Star 67 thing on Gray's phone anyway.
SPEAKER_05Hey, you just got a call from Morgan. I just sent money to bail her out. Can you pick her up?
unknownHe said that.
SPEAKER_04Such a stupid bit. Hold on. You call him and be like, what's like, what are you talking about? So he doesn't believe us? I'm just saying, what are you talking about? Morgan didn't have to be podcasting.
SPEAKER_05Hey, what are you talking about? Nice try.
SPEAKER_07I know you laugh.
SPEAKER_04No, check Morgan's location.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I did. I checked it earlier and it was like I know she's lying.
SPEAKER_20Well did you read the money?
SPEAKER_11Gracie, you laughed like within the reverse line.
SPEAKER_05What did you say? What'd you say, Ryan? Did you s did you read what I said? Yeah, you sent her money to bail her out. Can you pick her out? You think that's crazy. Well, she also did star 67. She wasn't supposed to do star 67.
SPEAKER_07Well, what's funny is we I I we're sitting at the table playing games, and I was like, I know someone just star 67 me. And I knew it was warrant. I figured I and I saw the message and I was like, oh yeah, she's trying to pull one on me. And I said, How am I gonna get how do I get how do I get her back? So I thought I I almost said I wired money over, but then I thought she would know if I said wired, if I was Right.
SPEAKER_04I knew when you said you paid money, they gave no option for anything. I know that's why I also pay money where. So if I hadn't star 67 and if it had showed up with a number, would you have kind of believed it for a second?
SPEAKER_07If it weren't Thursday night, then maybe. Oh well, this was all Chesapeake. What? Oh, well, because you're on the way of the podcast. It was a very convincing story.
SPEAKER_04Hey, thank you.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, no, we we we scrapbooked it. I'm sure. I'm sure.
SPEAKER_04Did you did you play it out loud for everybody?
SPEAKER_07Yes.
SPEAKER_04Okay. So tell me.
SPEAKER_07It sounded like you were trying not to laugh when you were doing the recording.
SPEAKER_05Well then it sounded like she was gonna cry.
SPEAKER_07You're like, hey, so I just kind of feel like that was my fake almost crying.
SPEAKER_05So crying and laughing sound the same for you. Ooh.
SPEAKER_07Ooh. People on the back, like in deep manly voices, and like, hey, your child's almost done.
SPEAKER_03Your child's almost almost dumb.
SPEAKER_05He has a knife! Well, this has all been recorded on the podcast, and this is your first entry to the podcast. You are on stage.
SPEAKER_04He doesn't listen to the podcast, so he can't come on.
SPEAKER_07First and only. Oh, listen. Hey, you need to make like a Cliff Notes version of the podcast for people who don't have long drives to like get like a summary.
SPEAKER_05Well, drive where are you driving to? Nowhere, that's my point.
SPEAKER_07I I need like a Cliff Notes, like five, five, ten-minute version of the podcast.
SPEAKER_10How about when you're doing your chores around the house and turn it on?
SPEAKER_07I'm not choosing to it anyway.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. By the time you drive ten places in ten minutes, you'll have listened to a Ryan. If Maddie's there, ask her when she can come on.
SPEAKER_07Does she listen? You're on speaker, you're on speakerphone right now. Oh.
SPEAKER_05Maddie, you want to be on the pod? Yeah, Morgan already asked me. Okay. Send your availability Thursday baby to Matt. Don't be nasty.
SPEAKER_07I will say that I think if that were to happen, that I would be the person that Morgan would call.
SPEAKER_04I Lisa. Please. I, word for word, said before we did this prank, they were like, wait, would Ryan like, you would obviously call your dad. I said, I think Ryan would believe I would call him first.
unknownThat's insane.
SPEAKER_04No sibling beef on the podcast.
SPEAKER_07I would get your OJ Bronco repo real quick. Your OJ Bronco.
SPEAKER_05That's crazy. Well, enjoy nerds in your game night.
SPEAKER_07Thank you. Thank you. And Morgan, stay out of trouble. Don't be reckless driving. But if you do, make sure to uh go through the toll with a toll tag too. That might be good.
SPEAKER_05For our audience, Morgan's been going through tolls with no easy pass.
SPEAKER_20Those deco quick.
SPEAKER_05And she's been getting bills in the mail. Look, look.
SPEAKER_04Hey, hey, don't dox me on here. Sorry.
SPEAKER_05Alright. Alright. Bye.
SPEAKER_03This is Jessica's talking.
SPEAKER_05What a nub, man.
SPEAKER_04Crazy word. I was really hoping we could do that.
SPEAKER_10You know, honestly, I didn't even think about that. It kind of makes sense tonight.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Out of all nights.
SPEAKER_10Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, I think you would have.
SPEAKER_10Also, Star 67. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Should we think that that is a bit. Should we prank Call Brooks though, and do the Hilton? What is this? Okay, for context.
The Hilton Toe Sucker Bit
SPEAKER_14Because I guarantee you I'm not the only man.
SPEAKER_06Listen, listen, listen, let me say it. There was a manager of a Hilton and a guy came in and got a room and slept, and then he woke up to a guy sucking on his toes and sued for, you know, all that. It's just a joke in our family because my dad's like, I mean, was he wearing flip-flops? Like, was he flaunting those things around? Like, can you help him? Is he not in bed? He was in bed asleep. And I'm like, if I am asleep and someone starts sucking on my toes, I would definitely be awake. And I'm just, because the guy's like, I just woke up in the morning and then there's this creepy guy. Like, he was the manager, so he had like the room.
SPEAKER_20The manager? It's a horrible toe sucker.
SPEAKER_06Sorry if that was confusing, but it is just easy.
SPEAKER_17The entire foot's like heels.
SPEAKER_11He's like moisturizing it. He's like this fish.
SPEAKER_04Guys, just for context, David did just put his actual whole foot in his mouth when he did that. No, no.
SPEAKER_10I'm not that flexible.
SPEAKER_04His toes are out still because of the cockroach thing, so. No socks in his Converse.
SPEAKER_11That might be worse than not wearing shoes at all, ever.
SPEAKER_04David, you have to do this voice thovers. Like you have to do a fake voice for the toast of the thing. I think it would be creepy. The voice of a toastover. That's like a thumb in your mouth.
SPEAKER_10Now let me get into character here. What is this guy what is this guy going to say?
SPEAKER_04Hear me out. It's true. You need to do What am I gonna say? David, you need to do a mixture between your like voice. Oh no, I'm gonna go. And then also, you know, like an arrow when Oliver was like had the voice modulator and was like, I'm the arrow. Combine that.
SPEAKER_06I don't like the toe sucker thing, though. It's not gonna be believable. It's gonna be nice.
SPEAKER_11Something that's like if I saw that guy, I'd think that's a toe sucker.
SPEAKER_05He looks like he sucks toes.
SPEAKER_10Guys, what we should do is on the Instagram. Cut this. On the Instagram, we should post and be like, this is the actual toe sucker, and just post a photo of Brooks.
SPEAKER_04It's photoshop in front of a Hilton. The toe sucking beat. I think it's not even just about convincing him. I think you're just getting a funny reaction.
SPEAKER_16I like that character.
SPEAKER_06But we got this map your number of Brooklyn. It's funny because Gray is like the only one who can hear me. We'll just full send, I guess. Okay.
SPEAKER_04He seems like he's at Chick Fold. Can you start out and be like, say his full name? Well, maybe not his full name. Brooklyn Carson, James.
SPEAKER_16Brooklyn Carson.
SPEAKER_04Well, you just say his full name and I'll just poop it out. First and last name be like, your time has come. And then be like, it's me, Hilton Toe Sucker.
SPEAKER_10Hey Kennedy, what's your last name?
SPEAKER_06You don't know my last name.
SPEAKER_10And you know, I knew that. Whatever.
SPEAKER_06That's crazy.
SPEAKER_20You're joking. Larry. The profile picture is crazy for a lot.
SPEAKER_10I feel like I sound like ghost face, but from the scary movie. Do you know what I'm talking about?
SPEAKER_06You know what I'm talking about. Okay, okay, okay. Everyone, don't laugh at this. Are you ready to even?
SPEAKER_10I'm gonna lock it.
SPEAKER_04Make sure you put it on speaker.
SPEAKER_10Do I okay, okay? Honestly, so we know what am I gonna say?
SPEAKER_06Some video it. You don't have to. You know what you do.
SPEAKER_10The issue is I don't think that he's actually answered Honestly, I feel like that'll work out if I leave a message. Or like a would he have your number? Or who's number two? That's crazy. This is crazy.
SPEAKER_04I still say start out with his full name and be like, just something like it's the it's the ill and toe sucker. Like time is good.
SPEAKER_16Take your socks off Let me get in between those two.
SPEAKER_06Summer's over.
SPEAKER_16I let you eat.
SPEAKER_06Alright, we can't laugh.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay. Okay, you gotta wait for your put on the speaker, put it on the speaker.
SPEAKER_11I gotta lock it. Hold on, hold on, hold on.
SPEAKER_05Cover your mouth.
SPEAKER_11I'm gonna laugh. I need to like not make eye contact. Wait, can I hold on? I gotta not make eye contact with you guys. I can't make eye contact with you.
SPEAKER_06That's what the coastal will look like. The most insane episode ever.
SPEAKER_11I can't look at you guys. Oh the phone locked up.
SPEAKER_05Okay, okay, I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. 3696. Can you beat that? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Alright, I'm gonna Okay, and make sure you put it on speaker and hold it up to the mic.
SPEAKER_09Okay, okay, okay.
Toe Sucker Call Goes Live
SPEAKER_16Who is this? It's the toe sucker. The time has club. What are we doing right now? I watch your feet.
SPEAKER_07This has gotta be Jackson on the no-caller idea.
SPEAKER_16I watch your feet. I need them now.
SPEAKER_07Oh, it's a podcast, bro. This is David.
SPEAKER_20David!
SPEAKER_11You don't know how much I had to hype myself up to like lock in for that dog. I was like, because everybody's staring at me laughing. I'm sitting at 20 right now. I had my phone on speaker for like 0.3 seconds. I heard that voice die. It's like taking a business call, you gotta stand up and walk away.
SPEAKER_04And your ear is the home toesaka.
SPEAKER_12I think I'm gonna hit a callback if you know what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_11Were you at least convinced a little?
SPEAKER_12Yeah, that was good.
SPEAKER_17Like an hour.
SPEAKER_11Alright, see ya. Bye. Okay, he was really confused for a good minute.
SPEAKER_20Not Jack.
SPEAKER_04Not Jackson.
SPEAKER_11I would say I think I locked in pretty good then.
SPEAKER_04Can we get a third prank call, or is that too much?
SPEAKER_10I want to do a third one. Who's somebody with prank call them?
SPEAKER_04No, I don't remember. Wait, who?
SPEAKER_05A pastor and a shirt. Oh.
SPEAKER_11Same toe-sucking thing? All right, I'm locking in. I'm in character. Guys, I'm already in character.
SPEAKER_06Yes! Perfect!
SPEAKER_04I don't know who this is. Lawrence is a good call. Let's use Lawrence's phone. She for sure does.
SPEAKER_11Oh, I got this. I got this.
SPEAKER_06Don't Star 67.
SPEAKER_04What are we doing for the case? Should I do the thing?
SPEAKER_06No, I think we gotta do like Yeah. I don't know. Call and say maybe Tyree would be in jail. She calls she. No.
SPEAKER_05I don't want to do jail anymore.
SPEAKER_10No, I can't I think it took secondary.
SPEAKER_03Maybe like I'm stranded, stuck on the side of the road. But that's too serious. I want to be.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay. Silly, silly. Selfish. Okay. Do you remember that story she told about how she had like the guy at the coffee shop that she got into an argument with because he was like a heretic? Yes. Oh. And it was like a crazy thing. What if we pretended to be that dude? What?
SPEAKER_10I don't know. We don't know what he sounds like though. That's the thing.
SPEAKER_04I doubt she remembered.
SPEAKER_05Or would he how would he get her number?
SPEAKER_04I don't know. Yeah, it's not trying to think sounds stupid. Like I mean, how would the toe's not gonna get Brooks' number? What do you mean? Like what are we talking about?
SPEAKER_11The toe sucker.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_11The toe sucker guy.
SPEAKER_06Toe sucker family. Alright, alright. We're running high on time. Let's go. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_11Can I just say it's the toe sucker? That was the name.
SPEAKER_02She'd probably immediately think it was one of the worst.
SPEAKER_04Who are you? Lawrence, guys. Lawrence is drinking soda right now. He never has soda. I am shook to my core for the caffeine.
SPEAKER_10This is breaking, this is breaking everything I ever believed.
SPEAKER_04Okay, what should it be about? What's a good bit? What's a good bit?
SPEAKER_10I don't think we could think of one for Sherry.
SPEAKER_04I just think any of the reaction on a thought.
SPEAKER_10She would, but also I feel like if you went like, because I'm thinking like Meyer or something.
SPEAKER_03Mine are all life or death situations. Right. Right.
SPEAKER_13Sorry, who was Miss Sherry again?
SPEAKER_06Miss Small Group Liter. Or small group leader, yeah. What about Eileen?
SPEAKER_04She's in bed already.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I know she'd be asleep by now.
SPEAKER_04Should I just call and like fake a survey? Yes. Or something. And I'll use this voice. And I'll use this. Oh, for who for Miss Browse?
SPEAKER_08I would like to make a survey.
SPEAKER_04Well, huh? Is this Sherry? Yes. Okay. Well, I'm calling a state of Kenya.
SPEAKER_06But through the phone, through the phone, I think.
SPEAKER_05I'll call this behind. Yes.
SPEAKER_14Okay, that's good.
SPEAKER_06Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_05But what is the survey on? You need you need questions.
SPEAKER_14So don't ask like dumb questions. Like, so how many feet are in a mile?
SPEAKER_04I'm sorry. We just have to get a general demographic, like level of education, and you know, that kind of thing, but we can't directly ask you before because this is a voter polling call, you know. You know, you know how the deal is. Oh my gosh. I just go up on a story and you should all be a little bit more.
SPEAKER_03No, you should act like somebody wanting to come to small group. And like, do y'all got pet lizards?
SPEAKER_06That's the one. That's the one. Good job, good job. I only want to learn about the Bible if there's lizards in hole. Do y'all read out a first Maccabees? No laughing, no laughing, no laughing. And hold it up. Good.
SPEAKER_09Good job, Terry.
SPEAKER_19Okay.
Small Group Leader Prank Call
SPEAKER_19Hi, if you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available.
SPEAKER_04My name is Flora.
SPEAKER_06Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. Call back again.
SPEAKER_04Okay, I got it. I got it, I got it. I'm not gonna look. I'm not gonna look at all. Okay. You need to scoot away, I think, actually, at this point. This is where it's gonna come to. I'm just gonna close my eyes. I'm an Andrew Flow state. I used to do improv.
SPEAKER_19Hi. If you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available.
SPEAKER_04This is Flora. I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_06My darn chaos were just somebody else. You can't walk in. I'm not good at accessing. I got it, I got it, I got it. No, no. Oh, okay. It will if she goes on to her history, then show that she got those calls. But it won't like alert her or anything. Okay. I'm so that's my phone. Block in. Don't block, don't go crazy off script. Just saying.
SPEAKER_04Can I can say literally, do you have headphones in here so I can just can't hear anything around me? Like is that crazy?
SPEAKER_06We're not gonna be able to do that. Hold on. You're not listening. Same. Save all the bit stuff for when she actually clicks on the phone. You just need to state your name and why you're calling. You know, don't go crazy with that my kids and this and that and the other because then save that for when she actually picks it on the call. Because it won't go through until you give a couple of things.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_19Hi, if you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available.
SPEAKER_04Hi, my name is Flora. I was a guest this past week at Chesapeake at the campus of coastal, and I met Scott and he said that I should get my kids plugged into your small group. He gave me your number for a point of contact for that. I just had a couple questions for you, that's all.
SPEAKER_19Thanks, Scott. Please stay on the line.
SPEAKER_04Hi, is this Sherry's Browse?
SPEAKER_15Is this Morgan? Did somebody like warrant? Is Kennedy there?
SPEAKER_04We're at the podcast right now.
SPEAKER_15So it does go through. I had my phone on silence. Scott and I just got to our Airbnb in Warhead City. I have no idea who. So I'm like, I was listening to them. If it wasn't for Kennedy, I would have been like, why are you calling me about your darn kids?
SPEAKER_11So Kennedy really.
SPEAKER_04And we've been we've been doing prank calls and I could not lock in. So that was my third attempt. That was I thought I was like, okay, good. Did you like Scott?
SPEAKER_15I saw that and I was like, well, and him and I were supposed to chat later today. So I was like, that's strange. Okay, Morgan just prank called us. Yeah. Scott goes, oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_15Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's the Morgan's.
SPEAKER_04Well, thank you. Thank you for being a part of the podcast this week. You are so welcome. Goodbye.
SPEAKER_11She's like, I'm on vacation. Goodbye. Dude, if you so if you didn't mess those up.
SPEAKER_04If I had locked in on the first one, we could have gotten somewhere. Hey, that's my fault, Show.
