Good afternoon and welcome again to Healing Stream Waters Daily Dosage. I'm glad to be here today, and your dosage today is going to come from the 16th chapter of Judges, starting at the 21st verse through the 30th. Then the Philistines took him and put out his eyes and brought him down to Gaza. They bound him with bronze feathers, and he became a grinder in the prison. However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven. Now the lords of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon, their God, and to offer and to rejoice, and they said, Our God has delivered into our hands Samson, our enemy. When the people saw him, they praised their God, and they said, Our God has delivered into our hands our enemy, the destroyer of our land, and the one who multiplied our debt. So it happened when the hearts were married, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may perform for us. So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them, and they stationed him between the pillars. Then Samson said to the lad who held him by the hand, Let me fill the pillars which support the temple, so that I can lean on them. Now the temple was full of men and women. All the Lord of the Philistines were there, and about three thousand men and women on the rooftop watching Samson perform. Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, O Lord, remember me, I pray. Strengthen me, I pray, just this once. Oh God, that I may have, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes. And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left. Then Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he pushed with all his might, and the temple of the Lords, and the temple fell on the Lords, and on all the people who are in it. So the dead that he killed at his death was more than he had killed in his life. And the topic that I want to leave with you today is let me feel the pillars. You know, sometimes in life we stray. But how many of you know in crisis your memory will come back? So from the beginning, when the angel came to Samson's mother and told him her that she was going to have a child, he came with some requirements. And the requirements were that no razor should come upon his head, he should be a Nazarite from the womb unto the Lord. He should eat nothing dead, he should drink no wine. That was the stipulations that surrounded his birth because he had a job to do for God. But as Samson grew, his uh his diet changed, and he met this woman named Delala. And the Philistines were concerned and wanted to know where did Samson's strength lie? And they hired her to find that out from him, and she didn't hide anything from him, she told him, I want to know where your strength lies so that I can bind you to lif you. Now, the devil he has no new game, he has no new tricks, he has no new schemes, but it's imperative for us as believers, as disciples of Christ, to pay attention because he's who he was from the beginning of time. He get got kicked out of heaven, and he brought a third of the angels with him, and so he's down here seeking whom he may devour. The Philistines employed Delilah to find out we gotta get this man, we gotta bring him down, but we want you to find out where his strength lies. So he told her all kinds of things, and then she will call the Philistines, and it wouldn't work. He will rise up and have his same strength, but how many of you know you can't keep playing around with the devil and the things of the devil, even in um the uh uh AA group, they'll tell you to come away from people, places, or things because hanging around with old stuff can trigger you again, and you are relapsed, and you will uh start doing the things that you don't want to do, and so Samson he kept tricking Delilah, and she kept getting frustrated and manipulating, telling her, telling him that he didn't love her, playing mind games, and as she kept on, sampson was back sore, meaning she got on his nerves so bad, he gave up the tools, he gave up his secret, he gave up his strength, he wanted her to be quiet, and sometimes to shut the devil up, we'll give in, we'll succumb, but God's not telling us to succumb or to give in to his devices because the Bible tells us if we do that, he will take advantage. Be mindful, pay attention. We are not ignorant of his devices because he don't have any new tricks, he's still doing the same ones the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life. But after she vexed him so sore, he told where his secret lie. Now, his strength wasn't in his hair, his strength was in obedience of not letting a razor come upon your head, not drinking anything, strong drink, not being associated with anything dead, it was in the obedience because nothing of itself is good. Just like we may pray, we may uh put oil on people, it's no power in the oil, it's no power in your prayer alone, not even in faith alone, because faith without works is there, it's your obedience that's produced by love. Because I love God so much, I'm gonna obey Him, I'm gonna have faith enough to know and believe that what God says it matters, what God says it holds truth, what God says it holds power because God said it, I believe it, and that settles it. And she vexed him so sore that he gave up his strength, and while he was asleep upon her lap, she had someone to come and cut his hair off. And this last time, when she said, Samson, the Philistines are upon you, he rose up as previous occasions, but what he didn't realize that the spirit of the Lord had departed. You can't keep playing with sin. The Bible says, Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. Don't keep playing with it because one day that same fire that you play with, you're gonna get burnt by. So they were able to do what they initially said they were gonna do, they were gonna bind him to afflict him. They put his eyes out, put him in prison, and made him to be a grinder in the prison. That was not who the Lord or what the Lord intended for Samson to do, but because of disobedience, because of him doing his own way, that's where it landed him. But Samson did not forget, he did not forget the initial plan, he did not forget his God, and while he was in prison and the Philistines' heart was made merry, they said, call for Samson, because we're gonna make sport out of him, and they was gonna get uh fulfillment and joy out of making seeing him perform because they said their God, they God, had put their enemy, gave their enemy into their hand, so they was gonna have a celebration. But what they didn't know that the God that I serve, the God that sits high and look low, he was still on the job because from the beginning he had a vendetta against the Philistine, and Santon may not have done it in life, but he still fulfilled his uh command, his obligation, his job, his assignment in death. So while he was grinding in the prison and they was making sport of him, it was a young lad that had him by the hand. So he told this lad, he said, Lay my hands, put my hands on the pillar. He told the lad, I just want to lean on him. Maybe if he had told the lad his true intentions, the lad would not have done it. The Bible tells us to be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. We must be intentional, we must be strategic because if we don't get the devil first, he's gonna get us. We need to know we have an enemy, but he's already a defeated foe. So Samson said, Let me lean on this pillars. He knew what he was gonna do, but before he did anything, he prayed to God, he asked God for forgiveness and asked God to strengthen him only this once that with one blow, it don't he don't you don't need a lot, just one thing in the hands of the Lord, just like with David, he took down Goliath with one smooth stone, one smooth stone, one push in the power of the Lord. You can rest to believe the temple, it's coming down, the giants is coming down. He asked God to strengthen him, and then he told God, avenge me for my two eyes. Yes, they put my eyes out, and I became blind, but what they didn't know, Samson still had a mind, he still had a vision. Just because you got two eyes that can see, don't mean you have vision. Samson remembered what the Lord had assigned to his hand to do. He placed one of his hands on the left pillar, one of his hands on the right pillar. He said, Even if I got to die with the Philistine, Lord, do what you said you was going to do originally, he pushed with all his might, and the temple came down, not only on the Philistines, but on all those that were in attendance. God still kept his promise. God still, his purpose was completed, the assignment was done, Samson's hair grew back. They were so busy making fun and having a merry heart, they didn't see that his hair had begun to grow back. God will grow your hair back when you return to him. You don't have their feet, don't have to go there. The minute you set your mind to understand the will of God, he will answer you. His hair grew back, and that was the power from the beginning, the obedience of not having a razor being upon his head. They didn't see, they were sitting up there laughing, they had their natural eye, but Samson didn't have his eyes because they put them out. But Samson remembered what God had told him, and God restored avenge him for his eyes. Although you can be in disobedience, but if you ask God to forgive you, he will. If you ask God, you turn from it's a heart matter. Turn your heart, turn your mind back toward God. Lord, I'm sorry, I may have gotten off the road that you have set me on, and I may have a um rezella in things happening in my life because of that misstep, that misdirection. But Lord, I'm coming to you to get back on track, and I'm asking you to avenge me for everything that I lost, avenge my eyes just this once. And so Samson pushed, he pushed with all his might. The Bible says it's not by might, it's not by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord. If you do it in God's might, if you do it in his power, if you do it in the Lord, I'm telling you, you will accomplish, you would have bring down the giants that are in your pathway, that are blocking, that are interfering, that is distracting. God will give you what you need to conquer it. What would you let separate you from the love of God? Don't, don't, don't let it, don't, don't do it, don't do it. The lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. But as Samson says, put my hands on the pillar wherewith this temple stands, because I want to bring it all down. The weapons of our warfare, they're not carnal, they're mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exhorteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity all disobedience when your obedience have been fulfilled. God loves you, people. The power that comes only and through being born again and the Holy Ghost, He left it here for us because He said, Greater works than these shall we do because I go to the Father. Be encouraged, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. Only thing you gotta do is lay your hands on the pillar by which this temple saying, God loves you, I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it.
