Good afternoon and welcome to Healing Stream Waters Daily Dosage. It's another day that the Lord has kept us. He's kept us from all evil with our minds stayed on him. Today I'm going to be coming from the ninth chapter of Saint Matthew. Um, just three verses, but these three verses are so impactful because they make you do a self-inventory, especially in times and days like this. So starting at the 36th verse, uh through the 38th. But when he saw the multitude, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then said he unto his disciples, The harvest is truly plentiful plentious, but the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he will send laborers into his harvest. And the topic that I want to share with you today is compassion. Where is your compassion? Jesus saw the multitude. Now let me explain to you um the previous verses that were considered the multitude. Everybody, whether it was blind, lame, um, whatever kind of illness, whatever kind of shape you was in, that was what Jesus saw. It was a whole lot of people, a whole bunch of illnesses. Um, but he had compassion. His heart went out to them, and compassion mean to share in their emotional state. He wanted the compassion mean relieving the pain um is having to do with the less fortunate. You putting yourself in their places and you feeling for them, you praying for them, or as Jesus did, he healed them, but he told his disciples that the harvest is plenty, and a few verses up from that, he tells us that you that are well, you don't need a physician. I come not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. So everywhere he went, he went preaching the gospel, witness the good news of Jesus Christ. Not only did he give them what was beneficial and profitable for their soul, but he also healed their physical need. He had compassion because they was like sheep without a shepherd. They had a but they was desiring to hear Jesus and hear perhaps he just made have an answer for them, and which he did because he was God in the flesh, but the same thing that Jesus carried, he said, let this mind that was in Christ Jesus, let it be also in us. We have to be concerned one for another, we have to pray one for another, have compassion, not only have sympathy, but have empathy. Those that are less fortunate, letting them be relieved of whatever test and trial, whatever pain they're going through. You know, I can remember not only in the Bible days, but in as coming up in the church, there wasn't a case where we didn't sacrifice and go to prayer on the behalf of somebody, whether it was all night prayer, it's an acronym push PUSH, and it's pray until something happens. And I can remember the old mothers that would get around and they would pray, they would visit houses, but today you don't see too much or hear too much of that, and I say that what worked back then, the same thing, it was foundational, will still work today. Because God says that where two or three is gathered in his name, he will be in the midst. And if two touch a degree or on anything on this earth, he said he would do it so that his father will be glorified. But Jesus tells his disciples, and it's the same today, in the times that we're living in, the harvest, there is it is plentiful, is so much going on in this world today, and people are left feeling that there's no hope. They're feeling that there's no no answer, but it is an answer in Christ Jesus. Um, where there is life, there is still is hope, and we know that hope deferred, it makes the heart sick, but a uh a desire fulfilled is like the tree of life. Where is your compassion? I know this is making me turn inwardly, and if I don't have an answer, go get an answer. We know that God is a prayer hearer and an answering God, He will answer you no matter if it's no, not yet, maybe, or whatever it is, He will give you an answer. We know that not now doesn't mean never, and delayed don't mean it's denied. God is just working on some things for you, but Jesus told his disciples, he said the harvest is plenty, but the labors are few, and then he didn't stop there. He said, Well, pray to the Lord of the harvest, which is God, that he will send laborers into the vineyard or into the harvest. I remember in Genesis when he said he could not send the rain because it was no man to cultivate the ground, even if God do it, he needs some workers because God is a spirit and he needs a body to work in and work through. Pray to the Lord of the harvest that he will send laborers into the vineyard. Where is your compassion? He said to love your neighbor, not as yourself, but love your neighbor as Christ has loved you. He forgave you, he met your need, and we ought to do the same for our brethren. Go after it, find an answer. If if you don't have one, we know that in prayer we can find an answer. God has everything that we need, and he will meet every need according to his riches and glory. We know that what God does, he does forever. He does all things well, and blessings and burdens don't work together. The blessings of the Lord make us rich and addeth no sorrow to it. So, where's your compassion? Where's your prayer life? Let's get back on our knees because as the songwriter sing, this is how I fight my battles. I fight them on our knees. My mother used to say, when you can't have an answer, you don't know what to do, you can always send it up to God, and He will send a word back down to you of what you should do according to what you're asking for. We know that God's word will go out and it will not return unto Him, boy. It will accomplish and it will prosper in the thing that He sent it to. God has an answer for every problem, for every situation that you have. Only thing we have to do is trust in Him, believe in Him, put our petitions up before the Lord, be not weary and well doing, because in due season we will reap if we faint not. He said we have need of patience that after we have done the will of God, that we may obtain the promises. And his promises are yea, and amen. Get your compassion back, even if you if you don't have it, whether you lost it, whether you never had it, this is what brings on miracles. It's when we have compassion for the less fortunate, for the poor, for those that's in a worse state than you are. But unless you can walk a mile in their shoes, we never look down on a man unless we down there to pick him up. This is healing stream water, daily doses, and the word today is compassion. Where is your compassion? Because but for the grace of God, it could be you, it could be me, it could be your family member, it could be your brother, it could be your sister, it could be a child, it could be your uncle, your uncle, your mother, your father, your grandfather, or grandmother. But by the grace of God, he has kept us and allowed you to be who you are. Go strengthen your brother. Once you have been converted, go help somebody else. Have the same compassion that Jesus had for you. He was moved with compassion when he saw their state, when he saw their condition. But by he being God, he had a right now answer. But he said he was going away and he was going to send back a comforter that we greater works, we will be able to do because he dwells in us and he works through us. Let love be your language. Love covers a multitude of faults and sin. Love goes beyond the call of duty. Love conquers all. Love endures all. Love just works. So again, have a blessed day in the Lord. God loves you. I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it.
