Good afternoon and welcome to Healing Stream Waters Daily Doses. I'm glad to be here. I hope that you and yours are doing well in the best of health and spirits and looking for better days. I'm going to be coming from the book of Acts, the 12th chapter, and it says one verse, which is the fifth verse. And it states, Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. And what I want to leave with you today is prayer. Prayer can go through walls, prayer can go through windows, prayer can transist, uh transcend anything. The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. When you don't know what to do, you ought to pray. Prayer is communication with God, it's how we converse with God, how we communicate with God, how we express our feelings to God and our thoughts. It's a our language and how we we talk to God. But prayer is a two-way street. You talk, God listens, God talk, you listen. But the heat where Hebrews 11 chapter says, we that come to God must first believe that He is God and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. We come to God in faith, nothing wavering, not doubting, knowing that if we have the petition of to God and we know we're praying in His will, we know we have this confidence that He will answer us. But we got to pray. He tells us to pray. Although He knows all, He's omnipresent, He's everywhere at the same time, He's omniscient, He knows all, He sees all, He hears all. He still says, make your request known unto God. So there's a part that we have to do. God's not gonna do it all because when we come to Him, we're stating, God, I need you, God, I trust you, God, I believe that you're gonna act answer according to my petition, and we're not making light of your ability. We know you're able to do it because you said that you're able to do exceedingly and abundantly above what we could ask or think, but it's according to the power that works in you. So when you open your mouth, when you set your heart to understand, when you say words to the Father, we must believe that thing that we're saying. Because in the book of Mark it says, while you say and praying, if you believe, you shall receive. God operates through faith, and anything that's not of faith is sin. So when we come to God, we're believing that God's going to do that thing for us. He said we delight ourselves in him, he will give us the desires of our heart. Peter was put in jail, and the saints made a constant prayer. Pray without season, don't let him go, as my mother always told us when she came to the Lord. And back then in those days, they she came through uh what they call tarrying. We know now in this 21 day um century, we don't have to do as such, but it works. It you know that you got you got something then, and it seemed like back then that it took it stayed with you a lot longer than today, although today should be easier, it's the only thing we gotta do is believe to receive, but it was just the work that was put in the work, the belief that we knew God had something and we wanted it. And my mother told us a story of when she was tarrying for the Holy Ghost. And don't let be like Daniel, no, Jacob, be like Jacob and don't let God go until He blessed your soul. Well, my mother wasn't brought up having Bible class, and she said, Well, who's Jacob? But the lady let her know God got what you need, and when she got back down there in obedience to what she was told, she came up receiving that that she desired. In today's time, because of the attitude and because of we're we're so we got Google, we got AI, and we can just about get what we desire. We don't depend on or look for the wisdom of older mothers. The Bible says the older mothers teach the young not only to love your husband, but teach them how to be um sanctified, how to how to be discreet. Woman women of wisdom back there in the olden days, the women, older women was always telling us something for our good, whether it was life, um practical things for life, or whether it had to do with our spirituality, it was always someone in our ear telling us what to do, what not to do, what to put on, what not to put on, how to keep yourself, and my mother used to always tell us keep yourself unspotted, not only from the world, but from the church too. We are to live a life not only that's pleasing to God, but pleasing that we as saints label as saints that we don't cause uh things against God because people see us, but they have blamed God. We are representatives in this earth. So the saints back then they prayed. It didn't matter what it was, if you was having issues in your school, if you was having issues in your home, if you was having issues with your health, health, the saints prayed, they were sincere, and the Bible says the factual prayer of the righteous it availeth much. They believed back then, just like with Elijah. He prayed that there will be no rain for three and a half years, and he shut up heaven, then he spoke again, and God released the rain. He was a man of light passions, just like us. Prayer would do it. Prayer is the key to the kingdom, and faith will unlock the door. The saints prayed for Peter, he was in jail, he was bound in a most inacordians of soldiers, which was 16. But God sent his angel and he unlocked those doors for Peter because the saints prayed. Peter came to the house where they were praying at, but because of astonishment, not that they didn't believe, but sometimes when God gets to working really quickly, you are in the state of astonishment, in a state of marvel, that you can't believe that your answer is at the door. While they was in there praying, he was knocking. I'm not here, y'all. Y'all pray for me, I'm here. And but Rhoda came in, a dancer named Rhoda answered the door, but because of the excitement, she left him standing outside and went back in there and told them that Peter's at the door. They told her, You must be hearing a ghost because it's not Peter. They knew where Peter was at, but y'all prayed, y'all were praying. The Bible said, Yet while you are praying, I will answer. Saints of God, let's get back to praying because prayer will unlock the door, prayer will lose the chains, and I will tell you about that in another segment. Prayer will lose the chain of not only you, but those that are in your circle, in your surrounding. We're going to talk about that on another segment, but this is healing string daily doses, and I encourage you, even if you don't have a lot of words, say two words, but mean it from your heart. Have mercy, no help. Whatever your words is, you may not can pray like your the old mothers and the old fathers, but whatever you got in your heart, say it with all honesty, because God said he desires truth from the inward part, and a broken and a contrite spirit, he will not despise. So tell him, don't tell your God about your problem. Tell your problems about your God. He said, By my stripes, am I healed? By your his stripes, what we heal. He healed all manner of sickness and disease. He's still doing the same thing that he did back then, he's still doing it today. All things are possible if we would just believe. And there is nothing too hard for God. He's still in control and he's still the creator of all things. Be blessed today. God loves you. I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it. Pray without ceasing.
