Pick Yourself A Winner

Good afternoon and welcome to Healing Stream Waters Daily Doses. It's us again sharing the Word of God. And today I'm going to be coming from the fifth chapter of Acts, starting at the 34th verse through the 42nd. Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee named Gamalia, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space, and said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do as touching these men. For before these days rolled up Thetas, bolted himself to be somebody to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves, who were slain and all, as many as obeyed him were scattered and brought to naught. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing and drew away much people after him. He also perished in all, even as many as obey him were dispersed. And now I say unto you, refrain from these men and let them alone. For if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to naught. But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest happily ye be found even to fight against God. But to him they agreed, and when they had called the apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple and in every house they cease not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. And the thought that I want to leave with you today is pick yourself a winner. Pick yourself a winner that never lost the race. So you know, we are inundated by a lot of things in this world. Some say I'm right, some say I'm of God. We have a lot of things, a lot of choices, and a lot of voices. And sometimes we can be confused by what we hear and see done in the name of the Lord. But this doctor of the Lord, um, he warned it, wasn't some outsiders, he warned the people of Israel to be mindful of what you intend to do to these men that say they're doing and behaving and speaking the word of God. And he gave them examples of a couple of men that came before uh them, which in the end their results wasn't good. They perished along with the people that followed them. So Gameleel gave them some wisdom, gave them some knowledge. Be careful of what you do, what you intend to do, how you behave towards uh the children, the people of God. We supposed to do good, especially to them of a household of faith, but we don't know who has God's name written on it. And Gamalia told them, be careful, because if it's not of God, it's gonna wash away, it's gonna come to naught. But if it's of God, if it's something that God said, if it's something that God commanded, if it's something that God ordered, you cannot overthrow it. I don't care how long you you're defined against it, I don't care how long you don't believe it, I don't care how long, how many years you go astray, what not wanting to acknowledge the truth, if it's of God, it's a a sure foundation, and no matter which way the wind blows, it's going to sand, and you're gonna wind up fighting, you think you're fighting against men, but you're gonna wind up fighting against the God that made the heaven and the earth, and it was uh uh play out years ago. Your arms are too short to box with God because you don't even see when he's coming, how he's coming. He uses what he wants to because he's in control over everything, he is the creator of everything that was made on this earth and in heaven. If it's of God, you cannot overthrow it. So that's the uh assurance you had. You don't have to argue no more, it releases you from stress, you don't have to fight. He said, This battle is not yours, you don't have to fight for the things of God. God is able to take care of himself and you, and he also takes care of your enemy. He said, When an enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard. Pick yourself a winner that never lost a case, never lost a race. Because the kind of winner I'm talking about, he comes through doors, he comes through windows. When the Ark of the Covenant and the God of the Philistines was in a room together at night, but in the morning, Dagon was on his face. Every time they set him back up, the next time they came in there, he was down on his face again. Giants do fall, whether they're gods that's made by hand, whether they're men that portray themselves and act like they're God, but in reality they are Pharaoh, they they want to be God, they want to be in control of people's lives, but you cannot do that. No one takes the place of God, no one has the power, God, but God, and those he place his power within. He's God yesterday, today, and forevermore. He's the greatest, there's nobody greater, there's nobody beside him, he's too wide, you can't go around him, he's too high, you can't go above him, he's too low, you can't go under him. He has no equal partners, he's God, he's God alone, and he needs no. We can praise him, we can install him, we can give him his just due, but he's God, he's gonna forever, forever be there. He's a God yesterday, today, forevermore. He was there in the beginning, he will be there in the end, and everything in between, he's still in control of the enemy. Will come in like a flood, he says. But the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard upon this rock. I'm gonna build my church, except the Lord build the house. We that labor, labor in vain that build it. We can't build his house unless he give us the how, the uh the spirit, the wisdom, the knowledge. We cannot do it of our own, for without him we can do nothing, but through him and with him we can do all things because he gives us the strength, the ability, and the know-how to do it. Pick yourself a winner that never lost a race. I recommend you to Jesus. I would take him with me everywhere. He was with the Hebrew boys in the fire. They said, I thought we put three in there. Behold, I see four, and the fourth one looks like the man, the son of God. He was with Daniel in the lion den. The king said, Oh Daniel, was your God able to deliver you? Oh king, live forever. He did do it, he locked the lion's jaw. Daniel was able to rest in peace. Why? Because God was in that lion den with Daniel, and guess what? What he did to others, he would do for you. If you go in the fire, you will not be burned. If you walk through the flood, you won't drown. God will be with you in every situation that you're in. Only thing you have to do, as the word says, if we acknowledge him and all our ways, he will direct our path. Because the steps of the good man are ordered by the Lord. Now, don't ask God to order your steps if you're not willing to move your feet, because God will answer that that you ask of him, because it's in that that his father is glorified. We praise God for being a prayer hearer and an answering God. God will fight for you, God will work for you. Only thing we need to do is stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Praise God, give him thanks in the good times and in the bad times. Give the King of Kings all his praise. This is healing stream waters telling you, beseeching you again, pick yourself a winner that never lost a race or case. God loves you, I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it.
