Good afternoon and welcome to Healing Stream Waters Daily Doses. I have another prescription for you today. Y'all check out the title, Healing Stream Waters is in the water, y'all. I'm coming today from 2 Kings and the fifth chapter, the first 14 verses. And it reads, Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and honorable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria. He also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper. And the Cyreneans had gone out by company and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid, and she waited on Naaman's wife. And she said unto her mistress, Will God my Lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria, for he will recover him of his leprosy. And one went in and told his Lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel. And the king of Syria said, Go to go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed and took with him ten talents of silver and six thousand pieces of gold and ten changes of raiment. And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now, when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy. And it came to pass when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he ripped his clothes and said, Am I God to kill and to make alive that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? Wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me. And it was so when Elisha, the man of God, heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore has thou rent thy clothes? Let him come now to me, and he should know that there is a prophet in Israel. So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. But Naaman was wroth and went away and said, Behold, I thought he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God and strike his hand over the place and recover the leopard. Are not a banner and farford rivers of Damascus better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. And his servants came near and spake unto him, saying, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, will it thou not have done it? How much rather than when he said to thee, Wash and be clean? Then went he down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God, and his flesh came like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. And the thought that I want to lead with you today is in the little things. It's the simple things in life that makes a world of difference. Naaman was a mighty man of valor, he did great things, but the Bible says, but he was a leper. And so they had brought into captivity this little girl, little maid, to the king's wife. Now, the Bible tells us uh talk about our God when we're when we rise up, when we go to bed, put it on our foreheads, put it on our doorpost. We ought to tell of the goodness of the Lord and the things that God has done. She was in a foreign land, but she remembered the things that were done in Israel. The Bible says to testify what you see and speak what you know. She was a witness of the power of God, of the healing, and she knew and said that she wished that her Lord was in Israel because there would be recovery, he wouldn't be a leopard. Um so the king sent to Israel to the king with a letter, but the king was upset, he was angry, and he thought that they just wanted to uh start a quarrel, a fight with him. But what they he didn't know, they were sent because of what the little maid said. So, word of mouth is power. In the business sense, it's an advertisement. The word of mouth is your best advertisement, it's what people say about your service or whatever it is that you're given. That's the best advertisement when you have somebody that can vouch and refer your service. They sent to the king based on the word of a servant, and so Elisha heard that the king had rent his clothes, so he wanted to know why. Why are you renting your clothes? What's going on? Tell me, it reminds me of the father whose son was sick, and he said, I brought him to your disciples, and they couldn't do anything, your representatives. But Jesus said, Bring him to me, and Elijah stood flat foot on the word of God and what he knew that God could do. It wasn't anything that Elijah could do, but Elijah believed in the word and the power of God. He told the king, bring him to me. I know what to do. I've got the power of God on the inside. In the old testament, he was concealed. In the new testament, Christ was revealed. In the old testament, the power came upon them when things were trouble or anything was in their way, the empowerment came on them and they was able to conquer. In the new testament, he said we have this uh treasure in this earthen vessels that the that the excess excellency of the power of God, power may be of God and not of us. We have nothing to do with it. The power is of and from the Lord, it's not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord. And when you have the spirit of God, God gives us what we need to make the journey because it exudes from the from us, and since we have this treasure, the very presence of God in us, before in the old testament, they carried the ark of the covenant, which was the presence of God, on their shoulder. But God said he will no longer write it on tablets, but he will write it on tablets of our heart, so that we if we abide in his word, and his word abide in us, we shall ask what we will, and it will be done unto us. For herein is his father glorified, and we have this confidence that if we pray the will of God that he hears and he answers us. The songwriter saying, I sought the Lord and He heard me and He answered, and that's why I trust Him. Um He was upset, and sometimes uh we don't want to do that which is necessary, it's in the small things, it's in the um simple things in life. Uh Esther wanted to give Mordecai clothes. I didn't he don't want the clothes, he wanted his people to be delivered. They told him if he had told you to do something great, wouldn't you have done it? He's not even asking you to do something great. Healing comes when we obey and follow the instructions of God for best results. Follow instruction. He wanted to know isn't the rivers of Damascus better than the rivers of Jordan? It may be, but it was in the Jordan, it was in Jerusalem where the healing was. We can't desire healing and then want it the way we want it to come. God knows what would bring healing. Sometimes uh to forgive will bring healing, sometimes to stop sinning will bring healing. We have to find out what is the cause, and it can be something simple, it's those little weevils that destroys our cross, destroys our benefits, destroys the amenities of God that He has sealed with His blood from us. Listen, it's in the small things, it's in the little things, and they mean much. My dad used to tell us, little is much when God is in it, even if you only have one percent, give a hundred percent of that one percent. The prophet asked the widowed woman, What do you have in your house? I only got a uh little meal and a cruise of oil. He said, Give me first. So it's better to give than to receive because the Bible says, When you give, the Lord will give to you, pressed down, shaken together, and running over what men give unto your bosom, and your oil will not run out. Thanking God for his word. Man may change, but God never changed. He's the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. His word is forever settled in the heavens. There is no secret what God can do, what he done for others, he'll do the same thing for you. Look and live, my sister. Look and live, my brother. Because when we look to Christ, we will live healing. It's a children's bread. This is healing stream waters with your daily doses. Again, God loves you. I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it. Go in peace, be with God.
