I Am A Friend of God

Good afternoon and welcome to Healing Stream Waters Daily Doses. It's a privilege and an honor to be here today. And I'm going to be sharing out of the Word of God, the 15th chapter of St. John. Um starting at the 14th, no, the 12th verse. And I'm gonna read a few verses. This is my commandment that ye love one another as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants, for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth. But I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard of my father, I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatsoever ye ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you that you love one another. You know, Israel Harton, he sings that song, and the lyric says, Who are I thou? Or who am I that you are mindful of me, that you hear me when I call. And is it true that you are thinking of me and how you love me? It's amazing. It's nothing better than to be called a friend of God. Abraham was his friend, and in this um chapter, he says, You are my friend. If you do whatsoever I tell you to do, I call you friend, I don't call you servants because the servant knows not what the Lord do it, but I'm gonna tell you, you're gonna know because you're my friend, you're got you got that closeness, it's a intimacy of and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. And if you need a friend that's gonna stay with you to the end, I have someone that I would record like to recommend, and his name is Jesus, he's closer than a brother, he's faithful, he's just guess what? He listens, he hears you when you call, and he answers. No matter where you at, what you're doing, and you need a friend like that. A friend is there for adversity, he will be with you through thick and thin. He says, I will never never leave you, nor will I forsake you. I will be with you always, even to the end of the world. There, there's no greater friend, and he said, No greater love than this, than a friend that someone lays down their life for his friends. His friendship describes his characteristics. He has sacrificial love, he gave up his life so that you and I could live. What greater love is this? He's he's there, he's a counselor. Uh his greatest wish or desire is that you grow, that you bear much fruit, and that your fruit will remain. He wants the best for you. That's what a friend is for. Be there through thick and thin, be there through all times. Um, he don't he don't call a servant because the servants don't know what the Lord uh does. But because we have that intimacy with him, he's gonna tell us things before it even comes to pass. The word says, Behold, I do a new thing, and before he springs forth, I'm gonna tell you about it. His unwavering love, it doesn't matter what you've done, how bad it is, he shows his agathi, unwavering love. Um, he justifies us, his justification is just as if you never did it. So, this love that God has for us, he so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. But his friends are those who could keep his commandment, and his commandment is whatever he tells you to do. But he said, out of all the commandments, it's two main ones. The first one is you love your God with all your heart, your soul, your strength, your might. And the second one is just as great that you love your neighbor, not as you love your neighbor, but you love your neighbor as Christ has loved you. I am a friend of God, and I'm happy to be a friend of God. He sticks with me, he'll do the same for you. There's no secret what God can do, what he done for others, he will do for you. His honest counsel, he he his love. Sometimes we have to have uh love that corrects, love that reproves, love that that tells us the hard things that we don't want to tell um say to each other. His honesty is truthful, he desires truth from the inward part, and we know that truth is the only way that we can be set free. He said his word is truth. Sanctify them by that truth, and if the word is whatever it is for your life, it's calling an ace and ace and a spade and spade, knowing that God wants what's best for you, God wants what's dear to you, he wants to answer your prayers, but sometimes him answering your prayers is not answered according to your thoughts and your ways. Father knows what's best, but besides being a father, he is a great friend. I'd like to introduce you to him. I recommend him any day, in any situation, he's the greatest friend that man could ever have. He's mindful, he's just, he's forgiven, he's committed, he don't hold um charge against you. He says he cast your sins into the sea of forgiveness to be remembered no more. He said, That's all right. I know you did what you did, but go in peace and don't just don't do it no more. He's loving. I so love God because he first loved me, and I recommend him above all else, above. Uh David said, When my mother and my father could save me, then the Lord would take me up. He's a mother to the motherless, a father to the fatherless, he's hopeful, the hopeless. Everything you need, everything you can desire, everything you can think of. He says, I'm able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that you can ask or think, but it's according to the power that works in you. He's mindful of you, he's considerate of you, he thinks of you, he will perfect those things that you are concerned about. I recommend to you today, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the one and only true God, there's none beside him, none before him. You can't go under him, you can't go over him, you can't go around him. He feels the whole heaven and earth. He knows your beginning from your end. He's everything in between Alpha and the Omega, first and the last. So please, woman, please, man, get to know him. Get to know Jesus Christ, the greatest friend you can ever have. I am a friend of God, and he comes highly recommended. This is healing screen waters with your daily doses. Go in peace.
