Isaiah 42 1-7: Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations. He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street; a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not grow faint or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law. Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light of the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in the darkness.
Thank you for joining us today on our Resurrection Sunday episode. We're going to break this one down into two parts. The first part will be going over Jesus' entry, fulfilling the prophecy, and what we are now able to accomplish through him and his sacrifice. And then how Jesus overcame the law. And now with his help, how we could now die to sin as we sanctify through him. So we're going to be going over why did Jesus come down God of all for us? I mean, it's kind of a hard question to battle with, but I mean it's it's very important. And do you have anything to add on to that?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, this is this is really gonna kind of full circle like what the plan was from the beginning. I mean, it was very intentional, and it kind of just um summarizes like to walk out of your jail cell. Like, enough of being confined into this misery and like this death and like this sin, like we are we can be called out of this jail cell with the cross. And we're gonna kind of dive into as our brother here is saying, like these deeper messages that are cross connections from Old Testament and New Testament, and how it kind of amplifies that. One of the biggest things that I always like to look at to kind of get this started, like, what was the purpose, right? What was the purpose of the cross? And of course, it's right after John 3.16. For we know John 3.16, right? But 17, the verse right after that is for God did not send a son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him, right? So, like we were already condemned. Like, that's why it had to happen the way it happened. Like we're born into sin. So we had to get saved. And it was a perfect way of doing it because he knew. He knew it was all gonna happen for the way it was gonna happen because of free will, but to truly have the true form of love that he exalts through himself is the free will of coming back to him and walking out of that jail cell. And I know you got some great connections to that, so I'll just kind of hand it back over to you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, of course. So let's go back a little bit. Jesus knew from the beginning what would happen. He knew man would make the wrong decision, he knew Satan would betray him. And he knew because of that, he would come down and give his life for us.
SPEAKER_01So why still make man?
SPEAKER_00And when Satan betrayed God, he knew that we would inherit and judge with Christ. And Satan didn't want to be under us, he wanted to rule over, and he wanted the throne for himself, he wanted to be God. And he knew his what his job was, his mission. He knew what would happen if he succeeded, and he knew what would happen if he betrayed God, which would result in his eternal damnation in hell. So he knew the fullness of everything he was doing. So when God casted him out of heaven. And Jesus was with Adam and Eve. Like it says in John, in the beginning was the word and the word was with God. Jesus created everything, like it says in Genesis. He said, Light be.
SPEAKER_01In the day. So he knew. And everything else was good.
SPEAKER_00But if God didn't give us a choice, I mean it wouldn't be free will. And why wasn't it the tree of just evil? Why good and evil? And when Satan tempts Eve, he says, You will be like God. Your eyes will be opened, and you will know good and evil. You'll be able to do the things that God does. But when their eyes opened, they felt shame. Why is that? Because they came to the realization that they were already at the fullness they could become. Just like Satan. And now that they betrayed God, they had nothing.
SPEAKER_01They gave everything up for a lie.
SPEAKER_00Because without God, we are nothing. We are empty. We are lost. We have no purpose. And that's how Satan continues to tempt us. He wants you to give in to the sin. And then he traps you in it. He makes you feel guilty. He makes us think that, well, we can't go back to God. You know, it's just a circle over and over and over. But he does not want us to come to the realization that we are meant to be children of God, to judge with him in the end, to inherit what Jesus left to be adopted sons of God. And we we think we know like our full potential, but we don't. I mean, with God, the impossible becomes the possible. I mean, anything could happen. And when we come to that realization, we are free. Without him, we have nothing. Life is empty.
SPEAKER_02Do you have anything to add to that? Yeah, absolutely. And and what they were really tempted with, as our brother was saying, was that you could be like God eating this fruit of knowledge of good and evil when they're already with God. So how can you be like something you're already with 24-7? It wouldn't make any sense, but they still felt for the temptation anyway, because again, the enemy twists scripture to his advantage to get you to fall. And they felt naked. They felt the shame, but they also felt naked. And that's often really overlooked. But when you really kind of like think about that, you know, spiritual sense is like they felt naked because if they're bearing another image that wasn't with God, what image could they possibly be bearing? Right? Like they're not following their true identity in God that they're called to be, so then they feel naked. And that that naked feeling, I don't know if some of them are feeling this right now. I know I definitely personally went through this. That, like, what's my purpose? Why am I here? What's my path? What am I supposed to do? Like, who am I? That's that naked feeling. It's like I don't know if anybody's been feeling that recently, or if like this has just kind of recently come up, or you've been feeling this for a very long time. I went through this, and I'm telling you, when you completely realign your life with God, like repent and just turn to him, he will fulfill that like questions you have, and you will no longer feel naked anymore. I'm telling you, you will know what he wants you to do, and he'll do it with you every step of the way. And it is absolutely amazing. All glory to God, praise him.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and regardless if we look at this in the spiritual or physical sense, we could tell that the second sin is way more severe. Murder. So spiritual murder, natural murder, post-seer stealing produce. But in Genesis, God asks Cain, you know, why he is angry. He says, if you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do what if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door, it desires to have you, but you must rule over it. So that could have been pride, ego, but regardless, there was a difference in viewpoints, I guess, which eventually led to him murdering his very own brother. And when the hate built up in him, he couldn't see anymore. So we're gonna kind of go over how Satan has challenged this with the lies that we have now. Because if he defeated all sin in one day, we accept him, why do we still feel like this? We have to identify the lie. Because Satan's a legalist, right? But God's judge. So do you want to be judged in a sense, or do you want to judge with him? Because we are with him, and I'll explain that. But yeah, like why did this have to happen? Why did you know the prophets have to write about the coming of Jesus? So let's talk about the events leading up to Christ's ministry. But Jesse, you want to go over Romans road to salvation?
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. And it's very intentional on why it all had to happen a certain way and why there was commandments in the Old Testament that uh um came into 10 of them, and we'll definitely dive into that in a part two of the episode here. But they were basically to show us that our flesh could not fulfill the law, because again, enemies are legalist, but God is the final judge. They were to show that we could not do the law on our own, and it was to show how dirty we were, and that we needed a savior to do it for us. And the Romans wrote to salvation, I think, paints this perfectly, where Paul writes here in Romans 3.23, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Like we all are like in a jail cell, and because of that, the rate the wages of sin is death. In Romans 6.23, the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. That's where that savior comes into play, right? Where he will literally compute the sin to him instead of us having to pay it, which he paid it on the cross, so we could walk out of it. And then he demonstrates it at the perfect time. Romans 5, 8. But God shows his love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Meaning we didn't even deserve to have our payment be transferred to him. We didn't even deserve it. We didn't even give him a chance until he finally plucked our heart and pulled us in. He still did it, even if we never would give him a chance. That's his perfect love. And the Romans 10, 9 through 10 is you just have to fully surrender to Jesus as the Lord by confessing with your mouth and in your heart that one believes and is saved through Jesus Christ. Because if you try to pay it, it will fail. You will literally pay it with death, eternal death. And what this really kind of comes down to is God always knew this plan would be perfect because it literally requires us to do nothing but believe He did it for us. Which again, I know I'm kind of talking a lot in Romans, but Romans 8.1, Paul again says, For there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Again, condemnation, meaning we were already condemned. Kind of connects to John 3.17 here. We were already condemned because of what we were born into, and we all fall short in the flesh. Just by believing and accepting that Jesus did that for us gives us that free of condemnation because Jesus already did it. And it's so freeing and it's so beautiful. And giving all of that to him that you've gone through literally helps you walk through that jail cell. And I just want to give a great point here is I know a lot of people are like, well, I don't really, you know, want to believe in a God where it requires me to turn to him so I can be saved. Like it's an absolute requirement. It's like, well, here's the thing you're already in a jail cell. So okay, you're depressed, but you don't want to go to the one true living God that can take you out of it, walk out then. Walk out. Or, oh, you're you're addicted to something, walk out the jail cell of it then. If you don't want to come to the one true God that can save you from it, that did it for you already, just you leave. You know, and and it comes down to the perfect point, which is made in scripture many times. There is nothing you can do, there's no therapist you can go to, there's no level of education you can have, there's no amount of money you can obtain that will have you feeling free of this world opposed to literally being born again out of it in Christ Jesus. That is the only way you're able to walk out of this jail cell, and he did it for you already. We just have to accept it.
SPEAKER_00So, what do we mean by jail cell? And it could be a couple different things. It could be trauma that you're unaware of, it could be an emptiness inside of you, it could be addiction, or I mean, it could be anything, but it's that emptiness that we had, that pain that hasn't been healed because we did not have Christ. And when we go to him, when we surrender to him, he will pull those weeds out of our lives, he will get to the root cause, and he will replace it with truth and healing. But it's almost like a spiritual hell in some sense. But Christ will free you from the darkness, he will guide you, he will be your light. We just have to turn to him. But let's go to the birth of Jesus here, Isaiah 7, 14. Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel. And this was the message that Mary received from the angel. But could you have known what was to come? Later in Isaiah 53, 5, it says, But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. Now let's get into John the Baptist and the beginning of Jesus' ministry. John the Baptist was a very important figure. He was the one who paved the way for Christ. In the same way, we need to pave the way for Christ's second coming. But there seems to be a little bit of a confusion on the identity of John the Baptist. Some say he's a prophet, some say he's Elijah himself, some even start to speculate if he is the Messiah. And this is because, as it is written in Malachi 4, 5, Behold, I will send you Elijah, the prophet, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes, and he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction. But John denies this identity that he is Elijah. But then Jesus says something different a little bit later in Matthew 11 9. This is after John the Baptist sends messengers to ask Jesus if he is who he says he is. He's expecting it to be the second coming of Christ, the second day of the Lord. This is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you. And then a little later it says, And if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come. Who is to come?
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_00He who has ears, let him hear. And as John is paving the way for the coming Messiah, he's making the people's path straight, calling them to repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand, and to turn back from their ways. And when Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist, the heavens opened up and a dove descended onto him, just like how the Holy Spirit revealed himself to Noah. And God said, This is my beloved son, with whom I am well pleased. Now Jesus didn't need to be baptized, he was already holy. This was to fulfill righteousness, as he says. But also, as he's doing this, God is bearing witness to Christ, claiming him, and stating that he is professing the truth. Bearing witness was an importance to the Jewish culture for establishing truth and upholding covenantal responsibility. Another example of this is the story of Elijah and Elisha. When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you. And Elijah said, Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me. And he said, You have asked a hard thing, yet if you see me as I am being taken from you, it shall be so for you. But if you do not see me, it shall not be so. And as they still went on and talked, behold, chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up in a whirlwind into heaven, and Elijah saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen, and he saw him no more. When Elijah is asking for the double portion of Elijah's spirit, he's asking to continue the Father's work. And when he saw Elijah being taken up, he knew that the Messiah in time had victory over sin and death. And likewise, when we are baptized, we get a double portion of Christ's spirit in us. We continue his work, we continue to spread the gospel and continue to walk with the Father. So it's symbolic, but it's also spiritual. Because he is in our life, and we accept our second inheritance when we accept him, and we are born again and cleansed in his righteousness. Yeah. That's all I got on that part.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. Just kind of again repenting back and just accepting that you are a son to the Father is absolutely freeing. And I just want to kind of apply the some of What and the whys that we kind of went over is like how how can this like I guess be done? And what I like to really hone in on with this with this aspect is the modern religion and you know how the modern church kind of uh portrays heaven and eternity is you know you believe and then hopefully you can experience eternal heaven, which is like you're on a cloud and angels are playing harps and everything like that. And like you just have to kind of wait till you die from this world to experience that freedom. And I want to say that is not aligning with scripture, you can enter right now. So, like one of the phrases I like to use is you don't have to wait till death to be free. You can be free from death right now. Like you can experience eternal heaven right now. You don't gotta wait, it can be right now. The Roman roads to salvation, and just accepting that Jesus did it for you, and you can experience walking out of that jail cell. Whatever you're going through, whatever burden you're carrying, whatever that's holding you back, whatever you feel like is just like holding you back, just I'm telling you, get on your knees with open heart, open mind, and just give Jesus Christ everything. Not just some of it, not just half-heartedly, not just like, well, maybe I think it's everything, and you will be able to walk out of that jail cell with him. It's the only way you'll be able to walk out of that jail cell. And and yeah, I just want to also bring to light like the next process and step that would happen after this is like once Jesus sets you free and you walk out of that jail cell, you like walk out of death, right? Like you're gonna experience that type of heavenly love that you've never experienced before because the world cannot provide that. And it's going to ignite this like fire in you, in the Holy Spirit, where it's gonna line up with the commission of the gospel that we are all called to do as disciples is to make the past right for others. Like we are literally gonna be called into that Matthew 28, 19, where it's like God's like will and his purpose and his plan is always about saving souls. So to help align yourself with his plan, kind of do like a little bit of like a heart check right now. Are we top of mind on how the Lord will use us to help bring souls back to him? Or are we kind of still focused and worried about some things of the world? And one of the things I really like to go back to with scripture here is in one John, actually, it's in the 1 John 2.15, where it says, do not love the world. I just want to go over one verse where it says, do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. And again, to align yourself with God's purpose, it is not really he doesn't really care about like what your career is or like how much money you're making or like what you plan on doing with like your next car or whatever it might be. He cares about bringing souls back to the Father in heaven and pretty much having them experience salvation. And he wants to do that with you. And once we like get walked out of that jail cell, we're gonna naturally want to help others get fueled with that fire of the Holy Spirit to walk out of that jail cell too. And that's what I truly think he means in Matthew 6 33, where it says, seek the kingdom of heaven, all of his righteousness, and it will all be added to you. Don't worry about what clothes you're gonna wear, don't worry about how the food is gonna be on the table. If you just seek his will, it's already gonna be added to you. He's always going to show up for you and provide for you because he wants to work through you with you. And that's just like the the epitome for me of like how this is all kind of applied, because someone was bold enough to share the true gospel with you. And now, in effect, it's almost like now you feel the boldness to want to share it with another person. Because it's it's so like divine and beautiful and heavenly, it's you just you just can't experience it anyway else but Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_00All I know is when I stopped believing in me, stopped depending on what it is that I do, and started depending on him, that's when my life changed. When I started having faith in who he is. My Abba, our Savior, the one true God. And it's just our nature, our worldly nature, to not want to give up our freedom, to not want to rely on God for some reason. And I used to be in fear of that, but the truth is he guides us, he gives us what we need every single day. And when we walk as Jesus walked and rely on our Father to seek him daily for our daily bread, the spiritual bread, the word, life just becomes so much simpler, easy. I don't know what tomorrow brings. I know yesterday is forgotten, so why don't we just walk with God today? No matter what happens, no matter what he tells us to do, it'll be okay because he is with us. And sometimes he tells us to do things we don't want to do, but I mean, every time you just walk through it, or you maybe you have to ask for grace, whatever the case is, I mean you you just end up loving it, enjoying it. Plus something that seems so small, simple, or even kind of stupid to do at times. I mean when you listen, I mean you could change somebody's life with a small gesture. And when we go to him, I mean he he doesn't just expect us to guess on what we're supposed to do, to figure it out for ourselves, to go out and heal. I mean, the first person he wants to heal is you. I mean, when you're hurting, he's hurting. He took that on the cross so you wouldn't have to bear it. He paid for that with his life. So if we deny that, we deny our inheritance, we deny our testimony and ultimately our life because no one is truly alive without him. And when we deny Christ, we deny the Father, he is the only way, truth, and life. And no one knows the Father except the Son. And no one knows the Son except the Father, and to whom he wishes to reveal himself to. I want to turn to 1 Peter 3 17. For it is better if it is God's will to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body, but made alive in the spirit. After being made alive, he went and made a proclamation to the imprisoned spirits, to those who were disobedient long ago, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight and all, were saved through water. Through Christ. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you are born of water and spirit, you will not inherit the kingdom of God. When we claim Christ, we receive the same Holy Spirit that performed all those miracles, that raised the dead back to life, that healed the sick, that casted out demons, the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is with us. Our advocate to bring us back to the Father. But if we don't press into it, if we don't ask for that grace that was given to us for free through Jesus Christ, then we will never become what God had intended for us. To get rid of all that pain that we take hold of, and then to help people to potentially change the world, but most importantly, we give up on that relationship with God. So we must repent and die to our sins, to bear our cross daily, so we may be born anew. If we believe that we have died with Christ, we also believe that we live with him, and if we live with him, then we will be resurrected with him. Christ is in all and with all. But how are we supposed to get to know God if we don't take hold of his Holy Spirit to help discern the words that he's breathed onto these pages?
SPEAKER_01I mean, we can't even comprehend God without him.
SPEAKER_00And he wants to reveal those things to us. And this is why they couldn't comprehend the scripture in the Old Testament. I mean it says it very plainly how Christ would die. And they missed it, they missed Elijah. I mean, they asked Christ, then why do the scribes say that first Elijah must come? He answered, Elijah does come and he will restore all things. But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him. But did to them whatever they pleased. So also the Son of Man will certainly suffer at their hands. Then they understood he was talking about John the Baptist. So my question, everybody, is how sure are you that he would even be able to recognize Christ if he was right in front of you? I mean, we miss him every day. I mean, we can't even recognize his voice. I've been there. But the truth is he always tries to connect with us. We just have to learn how to listen. Because the truth is, no matter where you are in life, no matter what sin you're still in, through your failures, your success, regardless, Jesus died so he could have a relationship with you. That's what he's wanted since the beginning. But will you accept?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and uh just kind of an example that I kind of went through in a sense of like walking out of the jail cell, because like I was kind of in idolatry for a very long time. And even to the point where, like, again, I was trying to spread the gospel. I was trying to do both, right? I had one foot in, one foot out. You know, I had I had a lot of faith and belief that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, but I didn't choose to walk out of the jail cell because I wanted to hold on to things that were only holding me back. It's really what it is. You think you're going to be losing such a big piece of you, but you don't realize when you give it up, it actually fills you and it forms you into the exact identity that Jesus Christ made you to be. And when that happened, like when I got like walked out of the jail cell, I was like, oh, now I understand. Like it's like your eyes get open basically, and it's like, oh, I see how you wanted me to go somewhere else because I was not really effective in the way you made me, but in giving up what I was holding on to, like walking out of my jail cell now, I was able to have my hands open to be able to receive what you wanted to like give me for free, but you can't give it in hands that are not open. Like my hands were so clenched on something I was holding on to. And he's like, just let go of that so I can give you what you actually were made for. And what I mean by that is like there's full-blown ministries. I'm talking like evangelism ministries, healing ministries, I mean discipleship ministries that are actually like really effective in helping spread the gospel because you can't do that in the flesh, you can't do those types of things in the flesh, and that's what I was trying to do. And the Lord's like, you're not really fulfilling what I want you to do because you're still in that jail cell. And I will say another thing too. When I felt myself get walked out of the jail cell of like idolatry, I felt a massive shift in my heart to completely wanting to just only do God's plan and purpose. And I do truly believe that's the point of the gospel. Like this, it's not like a half and half outer, like, yeah, I believe, but you know, like it is what it is. I'm just gonna kind of do my own thing. If people don't really want it, it's fine. And yes, there is free will aspect to it, but it's like it completely just reshifts the mindset and like the heart's desire to be like, God, who do you want me to talk to today? How do you want me to talk to? And what do you want me to do? Because your way is better and you know what you're doing, and I don't know that yet. So ask for your daily bread and he will provide as much as yeah, as much as you know, brother's been saying that too. But yeah, that's that's really kind of where it's at. And I just I just want to kind of finish by saying this message is like just just give yourself a quick check. Like, are we focused on what God's will is in our lives? Or are we kind of just content with what ours is? Because at the end of the day, we now know that God's will is to bring souls back to Him. That's His will, that's His goal, that's the mission and the the commission we're we are called to do with the gospel. Like, where are we at with that? You know, like give yourself a quick check. Where are we at with that? You know, because that's what He has a purpose for you in doing that.
SPEAKER_00So the bread thing, the the manna, that's what the people got in the wilderness. What is that? Was it raining bread? I don't know. Possibly, but it's spiritual. And Jesus says this actually right after the baptism, he goes out into the wilderness for 40 days and he's tempted by the devil. And what does Satan say to him if you know you your God turned this rock into a piece of bread? And what was uh Jesus' reply?
SPEAKER_02His reply was not live on bread alone, my bread is through the will of the Father who is in heaven.
SPEAKER_00The bread of God. I mean, so like he is not going to have you second guess all the way, like he's going to give you things, like I said, the faith of Abraham to fully walk on this journey. And why I'm confident, why Jesse's confident in saying this is because God showed us things we would not be able to obtain otherwise. For example, one of the first times I saw something, I was just in my kitchen, I forgot what I was doing. And my sister like just wanted to see what was going on, like in my heart. Like this is kind of earlier on in our walk, and she put her hand over and she felt that pain. And you, brother, bear witness to that because you felt it as well.
SPEAKER_02Yes, I was there, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And like it took a while, it wasn't just like in a minute, like it took a couple days, you said, and but like that's what's going on with all of us. Like he felt what's going on in everybody's heart. But how often do we seek that in other people? And they didn't know this at the time, but the minute they did that, I didn't know what they were why she put her hand on me randomly. She just like, I pray over you, said yeah. But I saw a vision of me in that cell, a dark cell covered in dirt, and then the cell was opened, and the light came through, and the light was Jesus Christ. He had the keys, and he says, Let's go. Like I saw that vision, and all my life I just thought that was just kind of normal. I didn't realize how isolated I felt, how alone I felt, how misunderstood I felt, and the weight of it would have eventually crushed me. But at the same time, it was kind of a blessing. I mean, who's more misunderstood than Christ? But that's what he wants to do for you. Help you out of your darkness and into the light.
SPEAKER_02Bring light to darkness, expose the lies, replace it with the truth, you know, edify people to who they truly are in him. I mean, that that's his goal. That that's all he really wants and cares for, you know, like is for more people to come back to him. And just when we align our mindset with that, it truly will change our lives too. He'll take you to places where you never thought were possible, and it'll be amazing doing it. It'll be amazing doing it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and people will come into your lives that you didn't think you you would needed either, and sharing this with you. But yeah, I mean, we need to receive these messages like as a child and seek first the kingdom of God.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely, and and one last point I would like to make too, just walking out of your jail cell, right? If we believe that Jesus died, went to went to hell, resurrected, defeated death, resurrected out of that tomb where there's a two-ton rock placed in front of it, not even that could contain him. Not even hell itself, not even death itself, not even a tomb with a two-ton rock in front of it could contain him. What makes you think what you're going through right now is stronger than that? Like let's let's be 100% honest. What makes you think what you're going through right now, you could just give it to him, he would defeat it for you, and he would walk you right out of that jail cell. Whatever emotion, like mental emotion you're going through, whatever addiction, whatever like lack of self-control, lust, pride, whatever it might be, struggle with what your purpose is. He can walk you right out of that jail cell, just like he already defeated death and rose again and walk and like just was out of that tomb. That same Holy Spirit's in you. Same one that did that, the same that's in you. He's stronger than what you're going through right now. Just believe it, receive it, and it will apply.
SPEAKER_00And we'll both add on to the cross next episode and kind of help you understand why you are free. Because it's a hard thing to grasp. But I'll go into why I know this part in the next episode as well. But when Jesus, like the reason why he was on the cross, he was able to bear all that pain. He should have been dead numerous. No man could have been able to make it to that hell and be nailed to the cross unless it was in love. And he's he was looking towards the treasure of the kingdom of God, right? So if we do not accept what he did, we don't accept why he did it. He what he saw was what you look at every day. Reflection of him. He did it for us. He did it because he loved us that much. If you don't accept your worth, you don't accept him. Because to the world, the message of the cross is foolishness. And to us, we were worthless. But to him, he has called you as priceless. And he paid the price for us.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, amen. Amen to that. Amen to that. Absolutely. And and the the point of the cross, too, is like, so we can walk out of that jail cell, right? The jail cell is that sin that's holding us in. Like, there's power behind it. That's what the cross is for. To literally be free of it, to not have to be in it. Because being in it chains you down. It jail cells you up. There's no jail cells in heaven. We can go there right now. So why are we accepting the jail cell we're in right now? The cross was for us to walk out of it with Jesus. And yeah, that's the overall message I kind of have. So amen, brother.
SPEAKER_00And when you accept us, I mean, search the word. Search the word with him, though, with the spirit. If you've not given your life already. Do that first, obviously. But I want everything that we say to be discerned, but I want it to be addressed. Because if what we say is right, he will confirm it for you. He is your witness. So, yeah, I mean, we hope you uh join us for the next episode as we go over the chains that he has broken for us in our lives. And I know without a doubt, regardless of where you are, Jesus could help you out of it. And not only will you conquer your problems, but you'll be able to help others out of their darkness afterward. The places that used to torment you, that torment you now, will become your training grounds. Thank you for listening, and so long and take care.
