SPEAKER_03

Hey everyone, it's Michael Matri, and you are watching Flight Path brought to you by EFAX, and I am joined by two very, very special guests. I can't wait for this one. Your name, ma'am?

SPEAKER_02

Madison.

SPEAKER_03

And your name, ma'am?

SPEAKER_02

Morgan.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, what do you do for Bluebird Leaders?

SPEAKER_02

I I work for Rebecca. I am her executive assistant. Um, I just basically try and help her run things smoothly and help her get some sleep at night so she's not going crazy trying to do everything by herself.

SPEAKER_03

So there you go. And yeah, you know, anybody who works for Rebecca needs to be a swift army knife. What about you? What do you do for Rebecca?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I'm her marketing intern for this summer.

SPEAKER_03

Awesome. Yeah, very cool. Well, welcome. And what school are you from?

SPEAKER_01

I'm from Elon University.

SPEAKER_03

Awesome, very cool, very cool. Well, we're gonna ask some fun questions, nothing too stiff, right? Okay, but first and foremost, let me just say this. What kind of summer person are you? Are you a city, lake, beach, or mountain?

SPEAKER_02

Probably the beach. I I uh I really like that's it's surprising because I don't like the ocean, so I probably won't get in the ocean, but I do like to just like sit in the sun and and and get tan, even though I don't get tan either. But you know, it just it makes me it makes me feel rejuvenated, I guess. You like the vibes, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I like I like the sound of the ocean, the smell, you know, yeah, all the aesthetic thing.

SPEAKER_03

You like the aesthetic of the beach, yeah. All right, what about you?

SPEAKER_01

I would also say the beach, but I actually like going in the ocean, and I keep saying this summer I'm gonna get Madison in the ocean. Awesome. We're gonna we're gonna go bridge jumping.

SPEAKER_03

She's a real beach person, a real for real, for real. It's like I see it, yeah. Yeah, awesome, awesome, they're very cool. Um, one of the things that um I really want to know is if you can think back, think back of your whole life, right? Leading up to this point, right? And think about this new journey that you're going on with Bluebird Leaders, okay. You go in your car and you're basking and you're taking your doll in, and you turn on the radio and you turn the volume up. What is the soundtrack to your journey right now?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wow, that's a typical. Wow. Oh my gosh. Um I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Um I'm like say it. First thing that comes to mind, don't feel ashamed. High school musical.

SPEAKER_02

Woo! I don't know. First thing that came to mind, I listen to a lot of high school musical music. I don't know, it makes me feel good. Yeah. Um, yeah, I just get you amped. Yeah, it makes me feel, especially high school musical too. That makes it makes me feel like summertime. So yeah, I I don't know. I'd I that's that's a difficult question. I'd have to I that that takes some thought, honestly. So I'd I'd have to think about that. So I know I can.

SPEAKER_03

I want you to think about it some more because I'm gonna come back to you. Okay. So, Morgan, similar question, different setting, right? Uh-huh. All right, this is it. This is the moment that you are getting it to your first Bluebird event, and you've just been given the lead by Rebecca, and you have a whole bunch of tasks and things that you have to get done, but you're excited about this internship, and then you walk into the conference, and in the loud speakers, there's some music playing, and you're like, Yes, this is exactly where I'm at right now. What's that?

SPEAKER_01

I think the first thing I think of is Justin Bieber. Yes, that that is you can never go wrong when Justin Bieber.

SPEAKER_03

Time out. Justin Bieber?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Like his Coachella set was so good. Yes. I heard a lot of so that's what I'm like thinking of or yeah. Oh, okay. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, I love that. And there's something about that because of how raw he came up and how genuine and authentic it was. Is there something about that that that strikes you specifically about how he did the set?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I feel like it was fun. He just like went up there and kind of just was like doing whatever. Yeah, he didn't have like a set thing going on or like dancing and all that. He just kind of like went up there.

SPEAKER_03

Something empowering about that, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03

Very cool. Very cool.

SPEAKER_02

That's a good answer, Morgan. Thank you.

SPEAKER_03

What about you? Did you did you put some ingredients in your answer? Did you stew it up? Do you have anything else that you want to we can move on to something else? There's no pressure. Yeah. Okay. Let me ask you this. All right. Very, very, very first job. What was it?

SPEAKER_02

Ooh. Uh I mean waitressing probably when I was 16. But I mean, I yeah, I'd probably say waitressing. Yeah. Not not not a very fun first job, honestly. Would not recommend.

SPEAKER_03

What was the craziest thing that happened to you while you were waitressing?

SPEAKER_02

Ooh. I worked at a barbecue restaurant. So honestly, what what craziness didn't happen in a barbecue restaurant? Like, it's just like it was, and I don't like barbecue. So it's just like, why do I put myself in these situations? I don't, I don't know. Um yeah, it wasn't, it wasn't, it wasn't fine.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, I can tell by your face. It says it in. Yeah. What about you? First job.

SPEAKER_01

Um, mine was also in a restaurant, but I was a hostess, and that was also not fun.

SPEAKER_03

Well, wait, rewind. Like, inform me, isn't the hostess uh don't you have to just see people?

SPEAKER_01

I know, but like it was really stressful. The restaurant was so busy all the time. It was like downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and it was just there was a lot going on.

SPEAKER_03

There's a lot going on.

SPEAKER_01

Awesome. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I get it. I get it. I totally get it. I'm like, if being a hostess is stressful, that means right.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

There was something really crazy though. I can only imagine. Yeah. Yeah, definitely. I know that you've been with the organization for just a short amount of time. What is one thing that you could say that's really different, special, remarkable, stands out about your experience thus far?

SPEAKER_02

I really just love how hardworking Rebecca is. Like she truly does put so much effort into her job and like you, it just shows like at everything. Like, and I just, it makes me feel special that I get to be a part of all of this and you know, be with her on her journey. So I just, um, yeah, I I just love her and I love the hard work that uh everything that she does for not only like the people that work for her, but then also the people that are like like part of the organization and like bluebird leaders and all that. So yeah, it's it's definitely changed me for the better, honestly. She she's make trying to make me a better person. So and I I appreciate her for that, honestly.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, awesome. Yeah, you know, there was a quote that was talking, something to the nature of like, hey, recognize that at one point the position that you're in is the one that you wish to have. Right. Right? Yeah. And so um Rebecca's response to me was that's great. What's the new goal? Come on, man. So I guess I'm gonna do that to you too. So, what is one thing that you're hoping to gain at the end of your bluebird leaders experience?

SPEAKER_02

Um more confidence in myself, honestly. I she is like trying to put like to make me have more confidence in myself because I don't have any at all. Um and so I I don't know, like I want to be able to be not have to question things all the time and just be assertive like her and just say it how it is, and you know, just not have to just I don't know, just know when you know things are supposed to be when they're supposed to be. And yeah. Um I feel like I'm yeah, no, that's good.

SPEAKER_03

That's good. And that's that's an awesome answer. I mean, the only thing I would say that's false about it is you said Rebecca's assertive. She's kind of certain. Oh, so Morgan, what about you? Like, I know it's been a very short time for you, and it's a fresh experience, but sometimes like the best feedback can come from that. So, your initial thoughts on bluebird leaders.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, I met Rebecca in a super random way at a clothing store, and she was like, Text me when it's summer, and so I did, and she offered me an internship, which is awesome. Um, but it was fun to just be able to hop right into it. I started two weeks ago, three weeks ago. Yeah, and we had like an event that night, and it was super fun to just like get started right away and be able to contribute like immediately to something.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, awesome. And what is one thing that you want to get before the end of this internship? The the thing, the thing that's like this is great, these people are cool, they're a little bit crazy. I could deal with it. But at the end of this, I want to make sure that I I think just more like marketing experience, especially.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I I get to work hands-on with a lot of projects, so it's it's super cool to be able to like jump right into something like that.

SPEAKER_03

Awesome. Yeah, awesome. I say you guys are hired and you guys just stick it, but that's just my opinion. I think you're pretty cool. Thank you so much. Appreciate that.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. We appreciate you very much.
