Mary, Did You Know that podcasting is hard?
We kick off this episode with a lost segment - the audio from our opening topic was unusable due to microphone issues. We had a great conversation about the end of Sean's run of shows, and the upcoming SGT Broadway Bucket List fundraiser, as well as some dream projects/shows we want to work on. That didn't make it, but we'll revisit some of it in a later episode.
What DID make it was our conversation on the Taylor Frankie Paul Bachelorette season being cancelled two days before it's premiere, as well as our feelings on the new Ryan Murphy show Love Story about JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. We then end with our titular Mary, Did You Know segment.
You can get tickets for Second Generation Theatre's Broadway Bucket List fundraiser here!

Mary, did you know? Hello, and welcome to Mary Did You Know the podcast.
SPEAKER_01How are you doing today? I'm good. This morning. This morning.
SPEAKER_00Yes, this top of the morning bright and early. Hello, loyal shareholders. It's Michael here with some news about this episode. We had a lovely time opening up this episode talking about the end of Sean's insane run of shows, the upcoming second generation theater Broadway bucket list fundraiser that he's in this upcoming Sunday, and listing off some of our dream shows and projects to work on. Unfortunately, Sean's Mike was as tired as he was, and the audio was giving bootleg boots. We couldn't salvage it. Luckily, we still have an entire second segment, which sounds great, and our titular Mary Did You Know segment as well. We apologize for the shortened episode length this week, but we will be back to our standard episodes next Monday. Enjoy. And we're back. Okay, so we're back with a shareholder request. I was out in the world this weekend and a shareholder came up to me aggressively. Okay. Julie Julie Fonsey. And she she also told me how much she was laughing at She Lock because her husband is a contractor, so she loves she was really guffawing over She Lock. And she was like, You, I have a shareholder request. She goes, You have to talk about this Bachelorette situation. Oh yes. And I was like, I don't watch either program, but I do know what's going on. So I feel like we need to, we need to discuss it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah. So I haven't kept up with The Bachelorette slash The Bachelor. She used to watch it. I yes, I used to. And I do really enjoy it. I think it's great. Um, but I didn't know that she was the next Bachelorette. And I also didn't know they already filmed the entire season. Oh, yeah. So when I saw all of this drama happening, I was like, I thought it was, oh, she's gonna be the next Bachelorette, but we're gonna find a new one because of all of this drama.
SPEAKER_00Oh no, so for anyone who doesn't know, this is Taylor Frankie Paul, who is one of the Secret Lives and Mormon Wives star show that I just like spiritually like do not agree with. Like we have Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but sure. And um, she is she had been cast and fully filmed as the new Bachelorette. Yes. And there has been a video that has resurfaced.
SPEAKER_01Now I guess back in like the first or second season of that show, somehow it's in the this is how the first season, I believe it's the first season, how it opens up her like getting arrested for this this thing.
SPEAKER_00But I think there was never video evidence of it. I think is like like that seems to be the new part. Is that like that's what everyone who watches the show is like, we Ben knew about this, like it right, but it seems like this video, which is pretty graphic. It is.
SPEAKER_01I did watch the video and it is kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_00She's like beating him up with like which like is not great, but on one level, it's like the part where she's just like hitting them. I'm like, okay. But then when she in front of her daughter picks up several stools, stools and throws them at him is crazy.
SPEAKER_01It's it's actually wild. Um, and I do not condone you know domestic abuse in any capacity. Um but I feel like there's not a but as in but but I think it's it happened, you know what I mean? Like it happened in 2023, I think. And especially like ABC, what are you doing? Like, did you not know about it?
SPEAKER_00Well, so this is part of the drama that I've read. That so the show is on ABC, and ABC obviously has a lot of like financial invested interest in the success of it. It's produced by Warner Brothers. So this happens a lot, like where shows, you know, like like like like Friends. Friends was a Warner Brothers show that was like sold to NBC. So both both of the entities have money and you know everything. Gotcha. But similar, like Warner Brothers produces The Bachelorette and The Bachelor. And I guess the reports are saying that they were very weary of her in general for a lot of these same reasons, being like, she seems kind of trashy. I don't know, like this is her history. And ABC was like, we really believe in her, we think that this is like very good synergy for us, it'll be good for you. It's a very popular show, like we think it'll be a good idea. And I guess Warner Brothers is really pissed right now because they did not want to do it in the first place.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And now if the season doesn't air, there's like millions of dollars lost.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. So I guess how does this work with casting? Does do the casting people say do like any type of research or any like deep dive of the person that they're if we've learned anything?
SPEAKER_00If we've learned anything from drag race, no. Or like housewives, like I feel like there are always things that come up, like the the housewife from Salt Lake City in season two that had all the racist stuff on Facebook. Yeah. How did no one do a Google search?
SPEAKER_01I also feel like it's part of their responsibility on both sides, as casting and the person hired, to have a conversation to say, listen, you're going on a public platform. Is there anything in your past that will come up that is damaging?
SPEAKER_00And they probably would have preferred had she been like, hey yeah, like like there might be there might be a video of this altercation I had with my husband, because they could have gotten ahead of it. Yes. They could have they could have leaked it two years ago, and then we would have maybe like moved on by now.
SPEAKER_01And and it could be like her redemption arc or something. There's ways to get around not to get around it.
SPEAKER_00In fact, but they fully filmed the season, like these men left their stupid jobs and finance to go and film The Bachelorette. And for it to never see the light of day. You also can tell who won because there's like certain menu are coming out being like, I support Taylor. Correct.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so you won. Yeah, yeah. One, whatever the hell one means. Right. Um, but yeah, so I think the whole thing is just like irresponsible on both parties' sides. I think it's embarrassing for the network. I think and I don't I don't watch the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. I tried season one and like you, I I just couldn't get into it. It made me realize how well Housewives is produced. Yeah. And how well it's edited, because I was confused. Yeah, because just the the drama that was on that show is just so I will say I do support this Whitney girl who's in Chicago.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. She was the one that was on Dancing with the Stars.
SPEAKER_01Which, like, aren't they like breaking like records with tickets sales?
SPEAKER_00She's it literally broken Chicago's like ticket sales weekly record. That is crazy. It's crazy, but again, it's people really do like that show. She dancing with the stars, she had a got I think she got even more fans. That's where I really first saw her. Like, I was like, oh, like who is this girl? And she's great at social media. Like, like her and like her husband is like doing all the stuff where he was like, and then I saw which was amazing. She did um when they sold when they broke the record on the Sunday, she signed every single playbill that they gave out at the theater. Oh wow. Which I thought was like, that's like so nice. But again, that's someone who like understands that they got really lucky. Yeah, and there might be talent there. She clearly can dance, probably not much of a singer, but um, there's like that's someone who understands like this moment could be fleeting, sure, and they're about to make even more money because Mark Ballas from Traders was her dancing partner on Dancing with the Stars and is going in to play Billy. That's wild. So like they're about to make even more money. Yeah. See, that's how you do it right.
SPEAKER_01That's how you do casting right.
SPEAKER_00We need to make a journey the next time there's a housewife in Chicago because I saw Erica Jane.
SPEAKER_01I am so mad I never got to see it. I lived in New York at the time, and I just wasn't a housewife's fan.
SPEAKER_00The next time one of them goes in, we should make a journey and see absolutely Chicago. You can always get that. I got like a rush seat for like $35.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. I'm I mean, I feel like unfortunately, those ticket prices are ticket prices of the past. Yeah, this was this was February 2020. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I got them right under the wire under the wire, do you want to?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, so getting back to the batterette nonsense of it all, um, do you think they're ever going to actually air this season, or do you think it's just like canceled?
SPEAKER_00I don't know if the U the US will ever get the season, but if Warner Brothers owns like it can be aired in other markets. Because like the ABC just owns like the US distribution rights. So I think it will be seen. Will it be seen in the US? I'm unsure. Right. But everyone will end up seeing it because once it's online now, it'll be everywhere. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I I don't know how to feel because I do while I I do think what she did and like the whole situation is awful and it's terrible. Um, I don't know. I part of me kind of feels bad for her.
SPEAKER_00My feeling on this Does that make me a bad person? No, I think my feeling on this, and we don't need to like this, not to bring us this won't bring us down a path of this, but I just think it's a comparison I need to make. I say air it because it's like, why do we have one set of rules for the bachelorette and then another set of rules for the president of the United States?
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_00Like I think like if if if our barometer for shock and concern is what it is, like I know. Like I kind of think like we need to look at like what's happening in the world and being like the airing of the bachelorette with this crazy woman is not going to do anything when we have other concerns going on in the world. Correct. It's sort of like where my brain is and what and what our standard is in this country. Yeah. It's sort of where I feel.
SPEAKER_01I agree. I agree. And it's just, it's it's wild. The whole thing is wild. And I I'm very curious to know how she is feeling about it. Because do you think she's like, fuck, I fucked up? Or do you think she's like, what the hell? Like, this is so old news.
SPEAKER_00There's also always a darker timeline. I don't need her to use this to like rage fuel the world and become the next senator from Utah. Like, so we really, we really just have to like let it air. We have to let it air because I don't like I don't. Do you know that there is a there is an episode of the Wendy Williams show, which is Wendy Williams and Trump doing QA in the audience? It is incredible. Like someone's like, My 13 year, my like boyfriend of 13 years, and Trump's like, Why boyfriend still? And I'm like, there's there's a world in which him and Wendy Williams had an advice podcast, and we're so much better. What a what what what a lovely thing that would be. So I'm always thinking about what the other timeline is. Like there's there's a timeline where that's it, right? And we still get to enjoy the celebrity apprentice. Um, and now we're here, and so there's a timeline where we just air the bachelorette and she has you know a fine time, yeah. And there's another place where it becomes it becomes a grift. Yeah. And I don't want that. Oof. That's wild. So from one illustrious love affair to the other.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Um, so I wanted to talk about love story on Hulu, um, the John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bassett story. Uh-huh. Um, I had no like inkling of what this love story was about because I don't I don't really know them personally. Um I don't know her. Yeah. Um, but I started watching the show and it's fantastic.
SPEAKER_00I think it's like the f now I don't hate Ryan Murphy. I feel like I'm an apologist for some of his stuff, but his best stuff is the stuff he usually just produces and like doesn't touch. Or if it's it's really stuff he doesn't write. Like, because this reminds me of the OJ and Versace series. Yes. And he directed those, but did not write them. And this he didn't even direct, he produced it. But there's a separate writer, there's a separate creator, and like you could just tell the quality, it's really he has that high-level production quality, and and and and and it's great, but it it's not it's not hoky or like it doesn't the writing's not bad.
SPEAKER_01The writing is not bad, the acting is good, except for I think the guy who plays JFK Jr. I think he's not good.
SPEAKER_00Okay, but he's so hot. But I don't care. So he's hotter than JFK Jr.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'll say it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'll say it.
SPEAKER_01So it's forgivable. Um I think his name is Paul Anthony Kelly. Yeah, but Miss Carolyn Bassett.
SPEAKER_00Miss her name is Sarah Pigeon. She is phenomenal. Mama, I'm a I'm a I'm I'm a pigeon. I don't know what they're. If you're a bird, I'm a bird.
unknownI'm a bird.
SPEAKER_00She is she's a Tony nominee. She was in Stereophonic. Is she? So she's she's a singer, D.Va. Yeah, she I was one of the two, like the main leads of stereophonic. I knew I liked her. Uh-huh. And she is, she's one of those performances where you're which again, why her casting is so good, because what Carolyn was was this this sort of like every girl that was just became this giant tabloid thing. And that like she has that same magnetism. Like you just I any scene she's in. You can't look away from any scene she's not in, you're like, where is she? And she's gorgeous, stunning. And I sent and I sent you the link. They fired the wig folks. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Because that original wig was bad boots. Which I didn't know. I the wig was so good I didn't know it was a wig.
SPEAKER_00And I love the way she's like, she's always tossing it.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and it's always just like falling in her face.
SPEAKER_00And it's like and like I love like I I thought the show was gonna be one thing, and I liked how much we got of like like all the Calvin Klein stuff I thought was fascinating. Yes. Also, that guy looks like Calvin Klein. If you look up photos of Calvin Klein in the 90s, it's actually scary. Wow. Um, and Meryl Streep's daughter, yes, playing Carolyn Kennedy, who is? Or Caroline Kennedy. That's confusing. Yes, Caroline. She's great in this. Yeah, she is. Like, it's the first. Her other daughter's in um The Gilded Age. And she's fine. She has three daughters who act. Uh Louisa Jacobson who's in the Gilded Age, Mamie Gummer, who is fine, and the Grace Gummer, who's this this one. She's the in this, I'm like, oh, you you got some of your mother in you. Wow. Like she does some of that like hair toss, like thing. I go, oh, there's Meryl. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01There's Meryl. And she looks like her. Like, she looks so much like her.
SPEAKER_00But also, she kind of looks like Caroline Kennedy. I don't know what she looks like, but it's kind of weird. Like, I would not have pegged that. Pegged. Um, but it is, and like she kind of says that like she knew her a bit. Like, she knows of her because like the the streeps lived in I don't think their last name of the streeps, but they live in New York too. Um do you know who who Josh not Josh Slosh Jack Sloshberg is? He's like that like Kennedy.
SPEAKER_01I have no idea who he's like this sorry to that man.
SPEAKER_00He's this like very popular online guy who is a Kennedy. Okay. Like, and he is like running for something in New York, but he's like a he I'll show you a picture of him. You've seen this man shirtless online, but his mother is Caroline Kennedy, and his dad is the other is Ed. Okay, okay in the show. He had some strong words about the piece. Oh really? Um, and I thought Sarah Pigeon, um, if you're a bird, I'm a bird, um, said it well in an interview where they asked her about it, which is a weird question. Right. Because what is she gonna say? And she basically was like, you know, I've never been in the position of someone making a TV show about my family. So he's allowed to think whatever he wants to think.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was like, and it's crazy because I think they have to put that like disclaimer at the beginning of the show that says like any sort these are like fictional stories or any like whatever it says. It says something to the effect of like we don't claim to know the stories of this family.
SPEAKER_00That's my that's the only thing with shows like this, which like we have brains, but I often am concerned for the people of the world that don't. It's like the crown. The events of the show are real in terms of the sequencing, like correct the the events like what's happening in John and Carolyn's relationship in terms of major milestones is real. Correct. And we don't know what they said. And I feel like you and I understand that they're just making it up. Yes. And I think that that's fun because we can just pretend like we know what they're talking about, but we know that that's that probably is not what happened. Correct. But people don't. Yeah. I think that's the only thing with these shows sometimes where I'm like people. Because they're based on real people, people take everything as facts. Correct. Where it's like we can enjoy it and understand, like, I don't know what their conversation was. Right. Like, there all there was the only episode, not that you say that he was bad, the only episode that I thought he kind of was bad and where I thought the writing was bad was the scene when they were yelling at each other in the park. Yeah, and unfortunately that did happen.
SPEAKER_01So they had to Well, yeah, I'm assuming because they had like the the paparazzi in the Butately, like I did the acting on that from him was not giving from No.
SPEAKER_00He was like, Carolyn, come on. It is his like first acting gig. Well, we can tell. And we can but can I also give my other major gripe with the piece? Where is Carol Radziwill? Oh my god. Because the did you watch? I haven't watched the most recent one. Did you watch the one the one where like all the paparazzi? It's from like last week.
SPEAKER_01I don't think I watched the latest episode, no.
SPEAKER_00So like it's all about like how they come back from the wedding and the paparazzi is like Oh wait, yes, I did watch this. And like um his cousin, um, like uh Anthony says he has cancer again. Yes. That's Carol's husband. Oh wow. And so she's just like not in the show, and it is kind of weird.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Even as like an unspoken Right, she's just not there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I highly recommend a book for you. Okay. If you've not read Carol's book, now that you know a little bit about John and Carolyn, it's called What What Remains. It is an excellent book. It's a spoiler alert about the death of her husband. Um, but it's about how in the span of like three months she lost all of them. Oh wow because the four of them were friends. So it's about how Carolyn is at her side throughout Anthony dying, and then like two months later, John and Carolyn die. And it's about like her grief. It's like I read it on a plane and sobbed. I read it in like one setting. It was one of the most things I've I've ever read. I'll have to look at it. It's the book that like made her kind of famous. Okay. Um, but I highly recommend it. Uh, but it's weird if she's not on the show at all. And I wonder if it's because she's so public they were concerned about a lawsuit or something. But I don't know if you're portraying the Kennedy family. Can't they sue you too if they want?
SPEAKER_01Right. Right. Interesting. Well, for the shareholders who have not watched Love Story on Hulu, it's really, really good. It's great. We highly recommend.
SPEAKER_00And I think with that, we're gonna take a break and we'll be right back. Sounds good.
SPEAKER_02And we're back.
SPEAKER_01So now we're gonna move into our titular segment. Mary, did you know? And I think I'll go first because I also, this is something I just found out and I don't really know all the details about it. But um, Mary, did you know that the IMAX in Buffalo is closed for renovations? What what is this? Little shop of horrors? What do you mean, close for renovations? And the reason I found this out is because I'm currently reading Project Hail Mary, um, and this is a a movie that's coming or came out uh this week this past weekend, um, on the 20th. So the book is so good, like literally one of the best books I've ever read. It's by Andy Weir, the guy that wrote The Martian. Yes, yeah. Um, so he loves his space his space books, yeah, he's in a space. Space pieces. Um so I'm reading this book, and the movie is coming out, came out, and I really, really want to see it. So um I was texting in our our friend group chat, and someone brought up like, oh, we should see it in IMAX because a space movie in IMAX incredible. So I go to look up IMAX tickets and it's not coming up. Like nothing, there's no options for IMAX tickets. And who was it? Was it you or someone else in the group chat sent a picture? Someone else sent this picture that's like uh like a a sign in the movie theater.
SPEAKER_00Very, very, very similar to that, to that sign that said Josh Pateki has now moved to the Atrium. Yes, it says it's like a fold out sign. Oh, I'm sorry, somebody put that sticker on it too. Yeah. Um, it says IMAX will be under construction from 316 to early April. Unfortunately, we will not be showing Project Hell Mary in IMAX.
SPEAKER_01Like the fact that they put that on a sign is actually crazy. A chalk written sign. A chalk written sign, literally a sandwich board chalk written sign that you would see outside of like a restaurant.
SPEAKER_00And I also like that it's like answering the second question. It's like, yeah, and we're and we're not showing the movie. Shut up. Yeah, and it's underlined. Like, we will not isn't.
SPEAKER_01And it's also the only IMAX we have. Right. So we can't, unfortunately, we cannot see Project Hail Mary in IMAX unless we wanted to drive to Rochester.
SPEAKER_00And what sucks is that we don't even have like other options. Like there's like Dolby and some other stuff with like enhanced sound and stuff like that. And there's like that 4DX. Oh, imagine that option. Which what is that? Your chair like moves. Oh. I Matthew and I tried to go see Twisters in 4DX. Oh Lord. Because I was like, woohoo! It was uh you're it was like sold out every single time. Really? You like couldn't. So it's like a ride, basically. Yeah, there's I would like to see something in 4DX, but it has to be the right thing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't think I want to see this in 4DX because I really want to enjoy the movie. Yeah, no, it needs to be something. I'm really looking forward to cracking up.
SPEAKER_00To cracking up. I mean, I'm pumped. I love Ryan Gosling and the other star of the film, Sandra Huller. She plays like the woman. I don't know if it was the woman. Yep. She's I love when this shit happened. She was in this like foreign movie called Anatomy of a Fall that was nominated for a bunch of Oscars like two years ago, and she was nominated for Best Actress and like was sort of like no one had ever, no one in America had ever seen her before. And I like when someone like that, they like plucked and they're like, We're gonna put you in this giant movie. Because she's really she's very good. So I'm pumped to see the two of them together.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, so unfortunately we won't be seeing it in IMAX. But board.
SPEAKER_00Well, mine is also about movies, but I'm gonna do before we get into that. My first bit is just gonna be I just need to brag for myself that I was 100% correct in all the predictions I shared on this on this on this podcast. Let's circle back. There were more of it I didn't share, but I ended up being 20 out of 24, which is amazing. But all the ones on the pod, I was correct about it.
SPEAKER_0120 out of 24 correct is crazy.
SPEAKER_00And the two I got, I got four wrong. Two of them were like surprises. We're like, ooh, that wasn't like we didn't think that was gonna happen. One was like one of the short categories, which is just dumb. And I forget which one I also got wrong. But I did pretty, pretty good, I must say.
SPEAKER_01So we gotta we gotta start putting money on this.
SPEAKER_00Okay, correct. Because there is money to so we can make some money. So we can make some money with our thoughts and our brains. Correct. Um our prediction. Correct. But I am going to something, because I just saw the trailer for this again, and I just need to speak on this. So, Mary, did you know? That's not how this goes. Mary, do you know? No, it's Mary. Did you know?
SPEAKER_01Girl, look at the sign. What the hell?
SPEAKER_00I'm keeping that. Mary, did you know? That the Michael Jackson movie is cursed boots, mama. Because let me tell you something about this movie. So, number one, I already don't trust any of the Bohemian Rhapsody, one of the worst things I've ever seen. I do not trust these movies made by the people and their families still alive. Oh. Because it's just, we're not getting the story we want. Like the Bohemian Rhapsody was like, I joke, it was a propaganda movie made by the surviving members of Queen about how they never about how they only did a drug one time, but Freddie Mercury was bad. And notice every time in that movie that he's being gay, it's bad. He's being gay, doing drugs. Being gay, getting getting AIDS. It is, whereas like that's like his one girlfriend is like, I'm the one for you. Don't like that. The Michael Jackson movie. I already am. You can't. Michael Jackson's a complex figure. Yeah. Because his music and his output is like unmatched. I mean, it's just the artistry and the talent is insane. But it's like, I don't really fuck with him. Like, I don't need to, outside of like, you know, Billy Jean comes on, thriller, whatever, we're having a fine time. I'm not gonna take his music off of whatever I'm listening to, but like I don't need to go see MJ, the musical. Like, and like I'm very happy for everyone who's employed, but like that's not what I need to give my money to. And so like that's just like a decision I made. So like I will not be seeing this movie in theaters. But the thing about this movie is the idea behind this movie was they were the family was trying to almost like redeem the storyline about the abuse. And this is like all documented out there. They were trying to have it be like it the rumors are gonna be a two-part movie. They're not selling it like that, but they're calling it Michael, but the rumors that it's gonna be two movies, and it was supposed to come out this past fall. Oh, and the third act of the movie, I guess, is this is sort of them tackling one of the accusers. And I guess a lot of it was like supposed to be like, this didn't happen. Look at how he was exposed, look at how it was the family trying to like fix his image. Yeah, they fully wrote and shot this movie and were editing the movie, and one of his one of the family's lawyers was like, Oh, whoops, and they were like, What? You as the family signed an agreement with that specific accuser saying that as part of the settlement you would never dramatize what happened. And they fully had to redo the last third of the movie. Oh shit. So I guess now it's just a full celebration. Now it's just like, it's he great, and we're not even gonna address it. Oh wow. Which is why I'm like, this is this is stupid. Yeah, this is stupid. And again, many people will go and see it, and whatever, that's uh uh fine for you. Like I'll I'll watch it bootleg for free on my home when then inevitably gets nominated for like four Oscars. But it's just like I just find that so funny. How do you get that far into production?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that seems like something that should have been stopped before it even began.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. So that will be and his like his like nephew is or his like cousin or something is playing him. Whatever. I don't that's tricky. I just don't.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I feel like if there's family involvement, it's of course going to be biased. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And again, like I think there's an interesting movie to be made there, but not the one that we're gonna. It's like the Whitney Houston movie. It's like she did drugs one time and like she wasn't a lesbian. Don't listen to that. Whereas like there's a lot of stuff out there that says like she had like a long-term committed relationship. Allegedly. All allegedly, of course. Yeah, I don't want to get this pot sued, but anyway, that's my that's my rant about um the movies this week. But I am excited to see Project Hal Mary. Yes, not in IMAX, but not in IMAX. And I'm gonna go see Ready or Not. I think it's called Ready or Not Here I Come or Ready or Not 2. Have you ever seen Ready or Not? No. Highly recommend. Is it scary? Um no, I I watched it, and you know I don't really fuck with that. It's about a woman who marries into a family and they like play a game, and um, like you have to like play a game to get into the family, and nine out of the out of the ten cards are like chess, checkers, and um, she pulled the one that was like blood sport where there's a curse in the family where they think if you have to pull that card, then they have to kill her that night. And so the movie is her trying to escape this house where the entire family, including her fiance, are trying to hunt her. Oh my god. And they believe that if she makes it till dawn, the family is cursed and they will all die. And so that's the plot of the movie. It is interesting. It is I watched her for the first time like last year, and there's a sequel now, which spoiler alert, there's a sequel. So but there's there's there's still a lot in that in that movie, which is now there's like a there's like a higher up family that like finds out that she survived and is like, we are also cursed, so we need to kill her. And it's that family is Elijah Wood and Sarah Michelle Geller. Oh wow. So I'll be seated. Listen, that's ready. Yeah, I could I could watch that, right? Is it on streaming, the first one? I think the first one is, yeah. Okay, I'll find it. I highly recommend because again, those movies are not normally for me. It's more like gory and like a thriller. Yeah, like it's not like there's a couple jump scares, but it's not like Ookie Spooky. Yeah. Ookie spooky's not for me.
SPEAKER_01The jump scares, and like, yeah. That's that's not my that's not my bag. No, no, no, no. But anywho. All right. Well, I think that's it for today. Yeah. Until next time. Bye. Bye.
