The Docs are locked out of X and have to improvise (mostly). Google knows us now! Yet another rant from Dr. Bob (this one ends at Walmart and verbal abuse). Dr. Chip tells his dentist to kick sand. The dental industry is kind of a scam. Dr. Chip runs out of gas and Producer Dean runs out of juice.Vance is itching to go after the cartels, but apparently not China. Shoutout to Dr. Kramers's new book Achieving Digestive Well Being available soon. Dr. Chip gives us a tour of the compound. The whole gang compares bikes. We watch a clip of one of Dr. Bob's favorite shows from Mitchell and Webb. Dr. Chip rips on Adam Carolla and suggests a new lineup for The View. What is the most ridiculous excuse you've ever used to avoid work? Anybody else remember Bar Olympics? Breaking News on air, 6.9 earthquake off the coast of Cuba.
Alrighty, here we go with another episode of the uh Slack Doctors. I am Dr. Chip. I am Dr. Bob, and I'm producer Dean. Truthfully, I would have set up outside by the pool, but uh it was like I had already gotten out of the showers already to come down to the studio, and I'm like, yeah, I'm not gonna sit out there and get all sweaty.
SPEAKER_07You kind of dove in the pool, cooled off.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I I already got I I already took a shower.
SPEAKER_07It's kind of kind of a thing.
SPEAKER_02Like what's the case?
SPEAKER_09You are dressed for studio. I'm dressed for home. I'm just wearing a ratty t-shirt. It's clean. But it's just a t-shirt, yeah. I mean, you know, you got the collar coming out and up and everything. No, we should also tell our listeners that we're we're a little improv today because you know, we typically review a lot of clips on this show, and we prep right before the show. We d Dr. Chip and I get in touch with each other and let us know what clips we're gonna run. But at the very last minute, as I'm attempting to get all these clips preloaded into my window across the bar or there at the top, and again, at the first time I've ever seen this message, a uh limit rate ex a rate limit exceeded. Apparently there's some sort of issue with X, and most of these clips were from X, so we uh find ourselves scrambling for some topics at the last minute here.
SPEAKER_02And it's funny too, because just about all the clips were about weed. We did have a lot of clips about weed.
SPEAKER_09I'm doing my best to uh to give a live impression of the subject matter and keep it thematically there.
SPEAKER_07You're doing great.
SPEAKER_02You know, before we get started too long, um I was actually just watching uh Stavi, and and they take the phone calls, right? Like like we're trying to do. He takes live phone calls on the air. Have you ever tried to call into Stavi? I have not.
SPEAKER_09He does a lot of his shows are just messages, though. He a lot of them is him just answering recorded calls. But he does do live calls too. And though I've never called in to the case.
SPEAKER_02How do you know when?
SPEAKER_09I don't know. Uh I I maybe I have to read in the description of his videos or something. There's got to be a link to the number somehow. I'm sure he gives it out.
SPEAKER_02Or maybe just Google search it. Yeah, we kind of spam it every once in a while. You know, Mondays or Fridays, two to three is when you call. I guess we don't really spam it that much. We probably should spam it more.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. As I was telling Dr. As I was telling Dr. Chip earlier today on the phone, and I think I even might have mentioned this to producer Dean, we are now searchable. Uh if you type in the Slack doctors, that on Google you get an actual AI response that gives a brief synopsis and description of the show and mentions Dr. Chip and I by our on-air uh persona names, which is very nice. I'm not sure when that happened. Heather was the one who told me, she goes, Hey, have you ever Googled yourself? And I was like, oh, what do you mean? You know, no, that's not a euphemism, dumbass. You know, Google the name of the Slack doctors. I'm like, oh shit, yeah, that's pretty cool. Yourself. I've only doodled myself, never Googled. Right. Yeah, call it what you will. I call it a power nap. Right. There you go. All right, Owen. I do. So I was on the phone with uh producer Dean earlier today, and uh I was inquiring about his knee. I believe today was a big day, an MRI, perhaps a drainage or something. I'm not sure. But it reminded me of uh a story that happened to me last week. So last week I had to go to a doctor's appointment. I think this was on Thursday. I want to say it was the fourth. So I meant to talk about it last show on the fifth, but uh, we got carried away with clips and whatnot. Convenient today. We don't really have any clips, so I'll tell the story. So I go to this doctor uh who I thought was just gonna give me the results of my most recent MRI, right? Turns out this guy has a surgery consultation. Now I'm way ahead of needing any kind of like the surgery hasn't even been brought up to me yet, you know? So as I go into this guy's office and sit down, I'm already in a bad mood. As soon as I see the name. Oh, that reminds me, dude, as I was telling Dean earlier today, if you tell me what kind of doctor you're going to see, I can already tell you what's gonna happen. Right? If you go see a primary care doctor, he's gonna want to run basic blood work and then he's gonna give you a referral for anything that's wrong with you to somebody else.
SPEAKER_07Right.
SPEAKER_09If you go see an orthopedic, he's gonna do x-rays, and then immediately he wants you to do stretching, physical therapy, exercise, right? And then if he can't fix any of that, then he's gonna send you to the surgeon. If you go see a surgeon, regardless of when you see him or what still test needs to be done, he wants to cut you open because that's what he does. If your only tool is a hammer, everything in front of you immediately turns into a nail. You go to see a psychiatrist, you're gonna get meds. You're not gonna get necessarily, you know, psychology treatment or therapy or whatnot. You're gonna get meds, right? Whether or not they even know how the meds work or what the mechanism is or when they or what the dosage is, we'll worry about all that later, but you're gonna get some meds. So I knew going into it that this guy wants to cut me, right? But I even get him to admit, oh, and before even that, right? So I got to spend a good 20 or 30 minutes filling out all the paperwork, you know, filling out the forms and playing with the pencils on the bench there, you know. Uh part of it was list your surgeries. So I had to flip the page over because I've had quite a few. I list them all down there. When I finally get back to see the doctor, who at this point I'm already mad because I know this is a waste of time, right? Uh before I see him, the nurse does my vitals, then this PA, physician's assistant, comes in. He talks to me for about 10 or 15 minutes. He basically asks me all the fucking questions that I've already filled out on the surgical history. He's like, Well, have you had this done? Have you had that done? Have you had your gallbladder removed? Yeah, yeah, it's all written right there that you guys made me spend 30 minutes writing down that you clearly didn't read, right? He talks to me about the most recent diagnostic testing that I've had done. So I give him all that information. Then he says, All right, I'm gonna go back and talk to, I don't want to say his name, I'm gonna go back and talk to the doctor, and then you know, give him a little bit of your background, and then we'll come back in together and talk to you about a game plan, whatever. I'm like, fine. He disappears for close to 10 minutes.
SPEAKER_04Excuse me, guys.
SPEAKER_09Close to 10 minutes, and when he comes back, nobody knows, comes back, he's got the doctor with him, and uh the doctor starts asking me the same list of stupid questions, including, well, do you still have a gallbladder? I'm like, what was the point of A, filling it all out, B telling it all to your stooges just so that I can fucking tell you now? And then finally he goes, So I see you're scheduled to have an ERCP. And I'm like, Yeah. He goes, Well, we really won't know if we need to do anything surgical until after the ERCP and we get a biopsy back. I said, You mean the ERCP that's scheduled for September? Yeah, yeah. So then why am I here? Like, I'm not paying, you know, you can charge Medicare, whatever you want for this visit, bully for you. I'm sure you'll get the money. Don't send me a bill for the remaining 20% because you're not gonna get it. Uh, there's no reason for me to be here at all, right? So I'm so fucking and it's at Shans Hospital, which as I've mentioned to reviewers before, is like going to the fucking airport. You got to ballet park your car. It's insane. Yeah. There's so many doctors in this, it's a teaching hospital, so uh it's full of of you know, students bumping into each other and wandering around, and everybody's got somebody following them, and everybody, everything takes twice as long because you're explaining something. And now that I think about it, this PA might not have been a PA, he might have been a fucking student. Might have been part of the whole problem and the whole process. Hospital. So after all of this bullshit, I finally get my car back from the fucking valet, get out of there, and and I had run low on uh my prescription medical marijuana at home. So I'm like, I'm just going straight to the dispensary. I'm in a bad mood. Get myself a little bit of medicine, I'll be able to go home and be in a good mood. Go to the dispensary, pick out the things I want. It's like 40 bucks, $42 or something. It's fucking cheap, you know, uh for uh two different eighths uh of uh medical grade marijuana. Quite nice too. I go to you can't use a credit card at these places. You can either pay with cash or a debit card because because of the federal legal legal system, it's still up and blah, blah, blah. But you can't buy with it. Just like you can't buy a lottery ticket with a credit card. They don't want you to gamble with money you don't have. They don't want you getting high with money you don't have either, apparently. So uh I take my debit card out, insert it into the thing, and it doesn't, and it doesn't come up declined. It says bank unavailable. And I know exactly what this means because less than 10 days before that, I was at that exact same location, and this exact same thing happened. And what happened is the bank, for some reason, the fraud detection alert goes off. They think it's fraud. So immediately my phone rings. I look right at the I don't want to call her a barista, uh, a bud tender, whatever the chick that works behind the counter at the weed shop is. I said, I guarantee this is the bank. So I step out of line, take the call, it's the bank. I immediately, we need, we need to verify the last three transactions. And I'm like, yeah, yeah, that's me, that's me, and that's me. That's fine. Can you please unlock the card? I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Yeah, your card is unlocked, everything's fine. I'm like, so I can use it right now. Yes, it is activated. Turn back around, put the card back in, and unavailable. Now I'm fucking, now I'm raging with anger, like boiling with anger. I immediately, I'm like, put my order to the side, I'll be right back. I drive straight to the bank. I bypass the cash, the teller, and go right to the back agent's office, who's the chick that used to be the teller and kind of got promoted. So I have a somewhat of a working relationship with this woman. And she's always seemed more than competent and very friendly. Explain to her my situation. Now, my bank recently changed names from one to another. Apparently that was the whole fucking problem because the fraud detection is not on the same page as the old fraud detection. And yes, even though they said they released the card, they never let us know, and we're still in charge of the card because it still has the old institution. Whatever. I said, I don't care about the explanation, just fix it. Make it so that it doesn't ever happen again, or I'm taking every cent I have out of this bank. You know, not that I have that much money and savings, but it's enough to make a difference. It should at least fucking mean something. Right? So get a little bit of cash, go back to the dispensary, get my medicine, right? And I'm like, I only have one more stop to make. I'll stop at the fucking Walmart, and then I can go home and self-medicate my neurodivergent behavior. Put myself into a much better frame of mind. So I go to Walmart. Now I know I have a prescription to pick up, and I know how the pharmacy works. They'll only let you buy like five items because they don't want everybody to use that as a line, right? And it's got it, you gotta, you can't just walk up to the pharmacy with five items. You have to also have a prescription to pick up. Otherwise, they're like, no. So I go get like coffee filters, a bag of coffee, like three or four items, because I know I got to keep it under five. Get to the pharmacy. I get my script. Uh, you know, I'm I'm mad as fuck still from the last two incidents. As I'm walking out of Walmart, the final straw that breaks Uncle Bob's camel back occurs. The kid, the chick by the door says, Can I see your receipt? And I said, No. Her eyes broke, she goes, No. And I said, Listen, you have flock cameras at every entrance, all three entrances to this parking lot. You have cameras in the front door that register everybody that walks in or out. You've got eye-in-the-sky cameras like a fucking casino all over the store. You got guys in plain clothes that walk around that look like shoppers so that they can catch shoplifters. And you have fucking uh cameras at the register. You've had at least seven opportunities to catch me doing something wrong. It's not gonna be you. If somebody, if you guys thought I was stealing something, one of those dudes would have tapped me on the shoulder. It wouldn't be you at the last stop at the door to stop the pro like, no, you're not seeing my fucking receipt. And I realized that this woman shouldn't have gotten this much wrath from me. She probably gets paid less than minimum wage. I'm sure she's just, quote, following order, but you know what? So we're Nazis. I was just fucking following orders line anymore. I had had it. My patience was at an end. Yeah, that's what it takes. I went home and did self-medicate, and I felt much, much better afterwards, but I was a complete hundred percent ass to that poor old woman at Walmart. And I openly admit it. If she's one of our 99 subscribers, I'm sorry, old lady. I didn't mean to do it, but you pushed me.
SPEAKER_02I have a similar story about my whole dentist experience lately. You you remember I've been saying, you know, doing it.
SPEAKER_09I've not brought it up for so long because I I know you're not looking forward to it.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm not doing it now. I'm done. Uh they they've they've pissed me off. Here's what happened. Here's what happened. So I I guess so almost a year, well, I've for at least a year now, I paid fifty bucks a month for the stupid insurance um so that I could get some off this procedure. Well, the procedure is like six grand, and apparently all they're gonna give me off is like a thousand dollars. Which by the time I have the procedure is exactly what I will have paid them. Yeah, fifty bucks a month. Twenty months. You know, and here's the thing I'm gonna ask the doctor too. I'm gonna say, look, if you do this procedure, can you a hundred percent guarantee me that this isn't just gonna happen again? And I'm I'm pretty sure he's gonna go, no. So at this point, I'm like, you know what? I've I'm 62 years old. I've lost three teeth. That's a tooth every 20 years. You average it out. They feel fine now, you know. I don't have any problems.
SPEAKER_09You can't have two more teeth to go.
SPEAKER_02I mean, but you know, look, at that rate, I'm gonna take my chances. I've only got like what, 30, 30 years left on the planet, you know. Yeah, if my teeth fall out, they fucking fall out. I'm not the you know, here's the thing. The whole the whole point of the scam has really turned me off of the whole dental industry, is really kind of a scam, I think. It it's just so ridiculous at some point. And it's like, look, if they if you had not suggested I try this scam insurance uh company, I would have had that shit done uh, you know, a year ago and just bit the bullet and done it or not, and you know, we wouldn't have had to waste now a year and a half of me wasting money on this stupid insurance that isn't gonna be worth a damn.
SPEAKER_09It's just like you're entirely right that the dent that it is a scam. And here's one of the biggest parts of it that it's a scam. Why is it that, and this includes Medicare, Medicaid, and all major insurance companies, why is it your eyes and your teeth aren't considered part of your body? They're not considered part of your health. It's always extra for those two things. It's like, I'm sorry, I thought eating food, staying alive, and avoiding oncoming traffic were two pretty important things to being a living, functioning human being. But even Medicare, they will pay this is how rude it is, too. They'll pay for you to have an eye exam. Every penny, 100%. They'll pay for someone to look you in the eye and say, no pun intended, look you in the in the face and say, This is how badly you see, but they won't pay anything towards correcting it. They won't pay towards contacts, glasses, any of that shit. That's all out of pocket. Here's how blind you are. Go find a way to deal with that, sir. Well, then they don't want unless you're in the emergency room for like a you know a stake in the eye or something. Yeah, exactly. Well, no, not a stake in the like you could uh, you know, an infection in your jaw that could lit literally is about to go sepsis and kill you. Yeah, they'll treat the immediacy of it. But they won't like then do any of the follow-up dental work that needs to be done to prevent it from happening again.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You know, it's interesting. That just reminded me of a story. Uh actually, I was running around on my bike yesterday and completely like a moron, ran out of gas. And I blame this stupid gas gauge on my bike. It's it's like this weird gray LED bar, and if the lights right, it's hard to see. And what's that? Which bike? The boulevard. It's got like this and and when it's low, it the the last bar kind of flashes, but I couldn't see it. Uh uh I it was sunny out, I had glasses on, I couldn't really tell. I thought I had plenty of gas. Weird because my when I had my boulevard, everything about it was like retro-styled, all the gauges were just dials. You know, I think that is about the only, I mean, other than that, it's got some lights, but yeah, that's the only LED on the on the bike, truthfully. But anyway, so long story short, I ran out of gas. I actually was in front of somebody's house and knocked on their door and like, do you have a lawnmower gas or anything? I could just need like a sift to get down the street to a gas station, but nobody could seem to help me. I actually went across the street and there's some guy outside working on something. That guy spoke zero English. He said, Like, I'm like pointing at a gas can or a gas uh tank of his car, like, Piquito, just Piquito Petrol. Whatever, right? Never mind. So I ended up having to call Skip. And I was like, you know, Skip, bring me some gas. I'm fucking stuck down with them. So he comes uh rolling up and I get the gas, and and as he got ready to leave, I'm like, hey, thanks for coming. He goes, I shouldn't be driving. I can't see. I'm like, what? What do you mean you can't see? He goes, he goes, everything's dark. Now I figured he was gonna say everything might be fuzzy or something like that, but what the hell makes your eyes go dark? Is that like cataracts or something?
SPEAKER_09I don't know. But I was, I mean, I am gonna say that uh considering his hearing situation, he's already down one of the five senses. That literally, unless he can drive by sense of smell, taste, or he has some extra sensory perception.
SPEAKER_02Truthfully, he's so old and been down these same streets, he could probably drive by memory, but uh except you probably can't remember anything, but yeah. But I I told him, I was like, I called him later, made sure he got home all right. And sure enough, because I called, I called his son Mike, my cousin. I was like, you gotta take your dad to a die doctor, something something wrong with him.
SPEAKER_09Speaking of driving by memory or sound or whatever, have you ever seen it was an invention, and I've only ever seen it once on like a YouTube short, and it was from the I want to say the late 70s or 80s, and it was done in Britain. Some guy created a very rudimentary GPS system on cassette tapes. Now, these cassette tapes were dependent upon you disembarking from a particular location, but then it would verbally give you directions, and as long as you went the right speed limit, and you know, you might have to pause it every now and again if you got stuck in traffic or something, but it would say, like, you've now been driving for approximately 10 miles, and you should notice on, you know, and it if you did the route as it as it said it to you on the tape, it would get you there. I just thought that was pretty interesting.
SPEAKER_07I told you guys that I I bought an electric car, didn't I? No. Uh yes. Uh you do, I remember that. Well, I think it was like off off the air. I don't think it was on the air. Yeah. Um, not a Tesla. It was it's a uh Kia uh EV6 four door. And um uh I was uh down in Pembroke Pines. Um I'll I'll do uh lift every once in a while. I'll drive for for lift and pick up people and you know, whenever I feel like it, I do it and pick up some cash. And so I I was in Pembroke Pines, and um I had to come all the way back up this way for another reason uh in Delray Beach. And uh it's like an hour drive, like during rush hour, to get back up here. And my gauge, my uh charge was like 60 miles. So I was looking for a charging station, which I've done several times. I can charge it at home or I can do it uh um out on the roadway.
SPEAKER_09Fast charging thing in hotel?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, supercharge. Um, so and I I got the attachment to use Tesla uh stations for my Kia. So I went to the uh Tesla charging station off right near 75 in Pines Boulevard, and uh it wouldn't it wouldn't start charging. And there were like six of them, eight of them lined up. I went to a different one, and there's people charging their cars right there. And I went to a different one, and it the second one wouldn't charge. Went to a third one there, and again, people are charging the cars, and I'm going to these different locations in the same lot, and I can't get a charge, and I'm I'm freaking out because I And you just left the studio because that would explain it.
SPEAKER_09They could have the little fuckers could have followed you.
SPEAKER_07No, no, no, no. Um, I was dropping off a client actually, and so I'm like, okay, uh I checked where another supercharger station is in the area, and uh on top of that, I had a pee really bad, and I'm having to deal with this. Oh my god. So uh I there was an FPL evolution charging station not too far from where I was, so I drove there, plugged it in, wouldn't charge. So I'm freaking out. I'm thinking that maybe charging at home, there was rain and it got into my plug, and uh I am just losing my mind. I went to two other evolution FPL stations, and again, people are there charging their cars. I'm freaking out, and I have to pee. And so there was a support number. I called the support number. And it's really you should.
SPEAKER_02I'm surprised you didn't ask somebody else that was there. Like, am I doing something wrong? Or I did.
SPEAKER_07Okay, and he goes, Uh, I don't know what to tell you. It's working fine for me. So I'm thinking there's something wrong with the plug or the charge in my car. I'm stuck in Denver.
SPEAKER_09What? I I just want to throw up my a guess into the ring, but don't confirm if I'm right or wrong. Maybe it could even Have been something as simple as a problem with your bank information because if they can't access the money to pay the charge, you can't do it in cash. But anyway, go ahead.
SPEAKER_07You bring that up. And actually, there was uh um uh said an error it uh it bank or something declined. Uh something declined. And I'm thinking, okay, maybe it's my but I know I've got money in the bank, kind of like you knew you had money in the bank. So I call the support. I still have to pay, and I have to find a place. This is like 9 30 in the morning, and most places don't open until 10, 11 o'clock, where I am. And so I get the support guy on here, and he was very nice. And I gave him the you know, Pembroke 1550, you know, charging station number. And uh he goes, Oh, okay, uh, hang on just one second. Let me try. So he goes into his computer and he reboots that charging station that I'm at, and it started charging my car. So I'm like, what is it, like a computer? You have to reboot those things every once in a while. It was the craziest thing.
SPEAKER_02It's weird that they uh the other two didn't work either. I know. They all be rebooting.
SPEAKER_09Maybe it leads into my my internal fear and the conspiracy theorist that lives within me that yeah, one of my biggest issues with EVs has always been the fact that you can't use charge or a cache to put uh charge in a jail. Right. And how easy it is to to make somebody incapable of fueling their car.
SPEAKER_07All it takes is a quick little reboot, click of a button. It's scary. It's scary. It really is. That I that was, you know, and I'm like, am I gonna pee my pants? You know, that was the other scary part, but uh I was able to.
SPEAKER_02You know, you know, to revisit my running out of gas, there's two things that I I I wanted to mention about that. First of all, I did get to get to like get under a like a little palm tree where I was I sat outside for about 45, you know, 30 minutes, 30, 45 minutes waiting for my uncle. I sat outside in the shade and it was like, that's kind of nice out. It wasn't like it wasn't hot or anything. But uh, but getting into like panic mode like that, like truthfully, when my bike started running out of gas, for some reason I thought there was something going wrong with the electrical system. Because if I'd have stopped right where it started running out of gas, there was a gas station right there. But I sputtered literally about a half mile away, thinking it was something else until I finally figured out, oh fuck, I'm just out of gas. I thought there was something wrong with the electrical system. I kept restarting it and turning the key off, turning it on. Like, why won't it keep running? Oh, ain't got no gas in it. It ain't got no gas in it. Yeah. That's funny. But you should play that that actually lines up perfectly with the uh I remember what the voicemail I'm I left today is. You ought to play that now. Okay. Oh, yeah. I I do have the ability to share.
SPEAKER_09Oh, they moved the share button too. Yeah, you have to cry instead of highlighting it. Yeah, they've it they've changed a few things around. Uh yeah, there is one voicemail that we can do. Uh here we go.
SPEAKER_10So I'm sitting here watching Theo Vaughn and JD Vance talking about how we cartels and the drug war and fentanyl, and it's kind of like watching two chimpanzees playing with a loaded AK-47.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, for sure. Um, we talk about the cartels and what we're gonna do about the fentanyl. The cartels are just middlemen. The fentanyl, the precursors for it all come from China. That's you know, if you got an issue with it, that's where it's that's where it's coming from, essentially.
SPEAKER_02They seem to think we should send troops down to Mexico. Like you fucking idiots. God. I mean, you know, I expect that from Theo Vaughn. I don't expect much from Theo Vaughn, you know, but J.D. Vance and Theo Vaughn being like on the same intellectual level just scares the shit out of me. I feel like Theo can be easily led into agreeing with a great, great number of things. Yeah, but I mean, they were just so in lockstep about so many things, and it was Leo Theo Vaughn basically suggesting it, and JD Vance agreeing. That's the scary part. Yeah, I think we gotta do something about them cartels. I don't know, my end, and like, yeah, so you know, it's like, come on, guys. Uh anyway, I thought that was so uh I I if we had if I'd have known I'd have I'd have clipped the whole damn thing and we could have did, you know, S MSD the whole frickin' thing.
SPEAKER_09Anyway. So I know I bitch about medicine and modern medicine and and all these doctors all the time, but I do, you know, you do have to admit when the good ones are, and and God, I wish this guy was still my doctor, but my old GI doctor, Dr. Dean Kramer, um, I reached out to him one day via email, because I still have his personal email just to tell him how frustrated I was with what was going on currently. And uh he's he's doing okay, I guess whatever his health issue may or may not have been. I don't know, but he's he's not reopening his practice. But he did write a book, and I wanted to give him a shout-out, and I told him that once he gets it published, like it's completed, but it hasn't gone through the printing process. So it's not available yet for print. Uh, but uh he sent me a link to it, and I've read about half of it, and it's you know, a lot of it is stuff that he I'd already talked to him about, but it's called Achieving Digestive Wellbeing. And uh obviously a nonfiction title, but um we'll get we're gonna put a link to that once it finally gets up and running. But I was really happy to hear from him in here that he's doing, you know, doing okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, I know I a couple weeks ago I promised a tour of the pool. And I I made a little clip of it, and I finally figured out how to share this. So here's my little clip of the pool. You gotta go over here to this window. Doctor Chip in Paradise.
SPEAKER_04Part one. No audio. I can hear it. I wonder why you guys can't hear it. You know, you don't really have anything. I'm not hearing anything like that. What's that? Never mind. Yeah, I'm not really giving any commentary as you're watching it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, all I'm saying is how a awkward it is to try and make the take this picture with a laptop instead of a an actual camera. But uh yeah, that was out of my front door. This is the way making my way out to the pool.
SPEAKER_04There's a the pond. There's a turtle in that thing. And then you come out and then there's the pool. You might have to blur out that you're allowed. I was only there for a second. Probably the only female nipple that's ever been exposed back there ever. Yeah. That's nice.
SPEAKER_02They had a turtle in there now. They don't have they don't bother buy buying any of the koi fish anymore. Those are apparently really expensive. Cool. But every every once in a while in the morning I'll take a cup of coffee out there and sit by the pond. Smoke a doobie. Yeah, they've apparently they've killed a bunch of them in there. They spend all kinds of big money on 'em and then somehow they die, so yeah. They probably cook out. Yeah, this is see, this is where I set up to do that one day that we g I couldn't get enough signal. I don't know if that frickin' tiki hut just keeps me from getting Wi-Fi signal or something, but Anyway.
SPEAKER_04Would you say it's the guy in A par the apartment one or A or whatever with the router? Is that where the signal's coming from? Yeah. Anyway. So there's there's the pool.
SPEAKER_07How many people how many people live in the complex where you live?
SPEAKER_02It well it's a triplex, there's a guy in the front, I'm in the middle, and there's the couple in the back.
SPEAKER_10Triple of us all together.
SPEAKER_02That's the other problem here, is there's not a lot of there's literally with all of us home, there's one more parking spot. So it's like one person can have a guest, and then you have to start pulling in like behind people and on the on the you know, on the swale, and it's crazy. And they're lucky because yours a lot of your vehicles don't need a parking space. True. True. I mean that was one of the reasons I even rented this place is because I could drive the the bikes through the gate into my little front courtyard there. You know, not just leave them out on the street. Even though I I leave the boulevard out on the street now, but that bike's too big. I don't think anybody's gonna steal that thing. Do you have any any clips at all or is it we just using my clips? Uh I have no clips. Zero.
SPEAKER_04All right, I have to do that. I had the voicemail clips.
SPEAKER_07Tell me about the boulevard, because I've never heard of the boulevard.
SPEAKER_09It's a Suzuki uh cruiser uh shaft drive. Um what is it, like 1200 CC's? Mine's 14, 1400. 14? Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's basically it's it's like an old style Harley.
SPEAKER_07Gotcha.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know, it's basically this oldest design on the planet, just an old cruiser style. No, no big thrills. And I think the really the only problem uh with my electrical system is the the guy that I bought it from bought uh put too much aftermarket stuff on there. It's got these blinky uh uh taillights, it's got a uh air horn. I put a trailer hitch on it, so it's now got like a electric trailer stack hanging back there.
SPEAKER_09So it's got all kinds of things. I've always thought it was funny when you know people I've always I've never had one, but I've always heard the rumor that Harley's um need a lot of maintenance and a lot of upkeep and stuff like that. But then at the same time, don't most people completely alter the the Harley and put on a bunch of aftermarket shit on it and change things and customize it? It's like sometimes engineers at Harley Davidson thought all that was the right stuff to put on there, they probably would have already. Like maybe there's a reason everything is rattling and falling off, but what do I know?
SPEAKER_07I've had a 500 Shadow, an 1100 Shadow, which is Honda, and then I I had a Fat Boy and loved that.
SPEAKER_09Before the Boulevard, I had a Yamaha Virago. 1982 Virago, yeah, 920.
SPEAKER_02So but you had a you had a real Harley though, Dean. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, fat boy, yeah. Yeah, so you you know that those things just, I don't know, they they just I don't know if it's they don't put them together right or something, but did did it like drip oil and stuff like that? Or did you have problems with it? No, it was uh 1996, Fat Boy, and you know, I guess it depends what year it is and who was making them at the time, because I know when AMC was making them, they were probably they're supposedly all crap. But you know, they supposedly were making them good for a while, then they weren't, then they up then they were, and now they aren't, or some I don't know. A lot of people are all pissed off about the electric stuff, the electric arlie and the electric Ferrari and stuff like that. And they're like, ah, they're pussy ass. Alright, so I actually have a clip that you sent me, Ron, that we'll we'll start off with that one. You uh titled it something about being a teacher at our school. About a teacher at our school. Let's see what this is.
SPEAKER_03Oh, no. You got a minute, Ken? Of course, headmaster. Uh I have got a lesson in half an hour where I expect again? Yeah.
SPEAKER_09So these these guys, it's it's uh it's a clip from the Mitchell and Webb show. Um, and they're two British comedians that have done a couple of different series of shows. I think they're hilarious, all their sketch shows. Uh but anyway, I just wanted to give, you know, at least say who they were. It's David Mitchell and Robert Webb. Yeah, yeah, you can tell it's it's it's dry British humour.
SPEAKER_03See, but this is what I wanted to talk to you about. I tried telling them last year, you know, find the lowest common denominator. But just when you think you're getting somewhere, they go off for the summer, come back, and it's like you're talking Hungarian.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I think you can see the problem.
SPEAKER_03Highest common factor. What's that, sir? Stop screaming that we've been over and over and over this, sir. We're getting frightened. I mean, where do they go on holiday? To a memory wiping clinic? No. Are there such things? Because I'd give that a go. Nice place in Switzerland, view of the lake, and then you see it as if for the first time every day. Oh dear, I'm still getting a tiny tingle of trauma. Stick me back in the machine. Ah, Ken. We went to Spain. It was shit. They're different children. Yeah. It's like they're different children.
SPEAKER_06No, they are different children. Every school year, every July, you finish teaching one group of children, and then the following September, a different group of children arrive who crucially, and I need you to concentrate on this, don't know what you just spent the last year teaching to some completely different people. What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_02Okay, now let me stop it here, because this is where like American humorists would be like, okay, that's the punchline, there we go. But no. Yeah, it gets better, it gets so much better.
SPEAKER_06I can't think of another way of saying it. They're different children.
SPEAKER_03What? The ones who sit here, just small, noisy, stupid people who don't know anything. Yeah, they're eight years old, Ken. They must be older than that. They've been here years. Oh, they haven't. Yes, they have, they're always there. Smelly, malcoordinated, easily distracted, freak out about wasps. They're different ones. But this means what? That's not fair. That's like every year I ever mountain, turn my back for six weeks, and you've unpainted, you've covered it in shipment mountains wrong. I've built a cathedral and you I know what you're getting. I was given to understand at teacher training college that I would teach children maths. I would teach them and then they would be taught. But now you're telling me that however many children I teach maths to, you'll find some more who don't know maths and make me teach them, knowing that as soon as they get it, they too will be gone, and I'll be back to square one with some other bunch of little shit. I would never have agreed to that.
SPEAKER_06It's very much the job, Ken.
SPEAKER_03The job is for me to carry on teaching children fractions until I've taught all the children in the world, or I die, whichever happens first. How could you begin to pay me enough for such a feat of Sisophean futility?
SPEAKER_06This is very much why I became a head teacher. I just had the teacher now.
SPEAKER_09Even if we get a strike on it, it's worth it. It is just a press, you know. I want people to more people to know, more American people to know about Mitchell and Webb. Yeah, they're pretty much.
SPEAKER_02All right, so uh let's see, the other thing. Yeah, I wanted to, I, you know, I tried to run this clip last time because I thought it was something I thought it was about something else, but I forgot what I had titled it, which is the the the the first eight minutes are what everything that's wrong with Adam Corolla. Which, you know, it's funny because one of the clips that I had uh I was What's that?
SPEAKER_09We did react to this, but it nothing was really happening in the first eight minutes. We did this on the last episode, I remember.
SPEAKER_02No, no, yeah, yeah. Well, I tried playing it, but it would I was trying to play it in reference to something else, to like a another political post or something like that. It didn't really make sense that way. But it's funny because I was gonna run another post. I don't know if you guys uh I'm sure you've heard about the Dave Rubin Jubilee debate. Did you guys hear anything about that?
SPEAKER_09I think you sent me something about it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he got left. He was in danger or something. Yes, that's the clip I was gonna play where he's sitting there and he's he's complaining about the fan the fact he thought he was in danger and the and people were smiling at him and it made him uncomfortable. And it's like and it's like come on. Did you say joker? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So so the thing I was the point I was gonna make is you could take Dave Rubin, uh Adam Corolla, uh Dr. Drew, and and literally put them all on the panel of the view now. Because I mean, literally, that's these guys. Now, with that in mind, let's take a look at Adam Corolla doing the first eight minutes of this of his show here. It's it's really kind of hilarious, truthfully. Uh we can skip the intro at least.
SPEAKER_00And she said, you know who you remind me of? She said, You know who Adam Carolla is? And I was like, I love Adam Corolla. I made my old day. So thought that was great. Just wanted to share it. Uh keep doing what you're doing, man. You're the best.
SPEAKER_02Wow. You can leave. And you know, if if anybody wants to call our show and just go, hey, you guys are great, keep doing what you're doing. As much as we appreciate that, uh uh we'd like something a little more creative. But but anyway, go here.
SPEAKER_08Wow. That's nice. Yeah. I thought they only hired sassy black women to man those phones.
SPEAKER_05For the crisis center. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08What do you call a crisis center for?
SPEAKER_05I uh is that uh I don't know, is that like a suicide helpline or no?
SPEAKER_08I, you know, in a world where we have to rename everything every seven years, it's probably suicide.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, or or just mental health issues or something like that that you call them.
SPEAKER_08My thing with mental health is quite the opposite of the direction we're going. Everyone's direction is like more outreach, more research, more um resources, more outreach, more programs. And I'm like, get the fuck over it and get to work, which works on people mentally. When you indulge them, they end up spiraling further.
SPEAKER_02All right. Nobody asked you about this, Adam, first of all. And uh yeah, anyway. I I'm I'm not that sympathetic to mentally, you know, challenge people either, but this guy's pretty uh insensitive. I mean, I don't know.
SPEAKER_08Down and when you tell them to get their shit together and nobody cares, they tend to get to work. And uh that's the way I I think we have all this mental, all these mental issues because like when a kid when a kid hits the deck, like when a kid eats shit, falls to the ground, it's just like they pause for a second and they always go, uh faster you're getting back on their feet and go, let's keep walking the matter horns down. Hang on.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, it not pause for a second, depending on how old they are and how serious it is. If they truly injure themselves, there is no pause. If if they're feeling pain, they immediately start expressing that.
SPEAKER_02No, he's just you know, he he equates everything to be everybody being a child, and you can teach them a lesson like they're an eight-year-old or whatever. Right? Anyway, here we go.
SPEAKER_08They'll lock it off. If you go, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, then they go further and further in.
SPEAKER_05So uh and in that way, like the call, like the caller, you run a crisis help center here. You're just telling it like it is.
SPEAKER_08I listen, everyone laughs. Drew had a full mental breakdown in front of me once. He had a full panic attack, and I just barged into a big thing.
SPEAKER_09What was that? You know who does do an actual crisis hotline show in a sense, though, is Stabby Baby. Like he really does give to the best of his ability, he does give the good the best advice he can give and make it funny at the same time, but he's not you know nearly as judgmental as Corolla.
SPEAKER_02Didn't Corolla and Dr. Drew do a call-in crisis line type show? I mean, they obviously mocked people instead of actually, you know, while kind of trying to help them, but didn't they have a show like that on the radio? I didn't think Dr. Drew has ever tried to help anybody that wasn't already rich and famous. Um Well, I'm telling you, they had a call-in show, like on a radio show where people would call in and kind of yeah. Right.
SPEAKER_09Well, Doug Stanhope, you know, our boy, my personal all-time one of my all-time favorite comedians, he has a an on-stage and quite possibly even real dislike of Dr. Drew, where he does a whole bit about how, you know, fuck that guy because he only takes care of the he'd step over a a dying homeless guy just to ask Lindsay Lohan, you know, how she was feeling about yeah. I I'm not doing the bit justice, but basically I get the sense of analogy. He goes, that's like being he goes, that's like if I was a gynecologist, but I I only treat you know 17 to 23 year old Swedish bikini uh patients.
SPEAKER_02Right, right. And you know, it's funny, he finally is coming around to the you know, admitting that you know the COVID thing was kind of not up and up, and you know, now everybody thinks he's He's such a great guy for that. And forget, like they're on the whole COVID thing. He was like, Oh, you got to get the shot. You got to get the shot. Got to get the shot. You know, so these guys that just do 180s and, you know, do whatever the wind blows, like Trump.
SPEAKER_09Right. I like how recently.
SPEAKER_02It's going to come up here in a minute, I think.
SPEAKER_09Just recently they tried to float that Tonta virus thing, and nobody was buying it, and they stopped immediately talking about this shit. Right. And we did it and it cured him.
SPEAKER_08Nice. Yeah. Everyone else was watching him breathe into a bag. Not me. I threw him on stage. And I said to him, go have your panic attack on stage. You don't do anything anyway. I do all the work. So let's go. It was MTV, but go sit there and do it on stage. You don't even talk anyway. I got to interview the guests and do all the funny shit. So just go and sit there and we'll start the show and I'll do the talking and you can quietly have your panic attack.
SPEAKER_05That's never has that ever happened to you? I've heard of other performers getting a panic attack before they go out. I I haven't experienced that yet. I I don't know if I will, but I I've heard of other people that happened.
SPEAKER_08I had one time I had stayed up. I took a like a red eye to um Amelia Island in Florida for some car show or something. It was like a thing where I stayed, flight left at like 11, flew all the way through the night, landed at six in the seven in the morning or something, had to go do something, had to pretty much just drank on the airplane the entire time and didn't sleep. And I got to my hotel room and I had starting a new TV show like the following Monday or something. I was thinking about a lot. And I was basically just drinking all through the night on the airplane. Yeah. Sitting in my hotel room at like 11 o'clock in the morning and the sun was like coming through, and I'd stayed up all night, and I had that feeling, that panic attack feeling. And I was like, oh my God, this is the worst. Man, this is the worst feeling ever.
SPEAKER_05Losing sleep and being under a lot of pressure, I feel like that's always the hardest time to go out and perform or do anybody ever had a panic attack?
SPEAKER_07Yes. On air. Really? I was I was doing news for a station, um, and I was remote, and we had to connect um via I don't know what we were using then, to go to this other station, and I had to do uh like a a five-minute newscast. And I was having a panic attack, and I I couldn't do it, and so I disconnected and I made up some lousy excuse to the j uh the host on the the radio show to the I don't know what happened. We somehow we got disconnected. I couldn't go on. And it was it was scary. I gotta I'll be right back. Okay. It was scary. It was very scary.
SPEAKER_02Questions about that, but now we gotta wait till Roman to come back.
SPEAKER_07I don't know if you can see this, but this can you see? I'm gonna try to hold this up so you can see. And that's you know, that's after I did network television, game show announcing.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, wait till wait till Ron comes back. I have questions, hold on. Okay. Okay. Here we go. So is it like a panic attack is like a physical thing? Like you feel something, like your your chest hurts or your head hurts or something, or you can't catch your breath.
SPEAKER_07Okay, when you get out of breath, that's interesting. And because I couldn't catch my breath, I couldn't deliver the news. Or I would start to deliver the news and it it would just be.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I guess it's the level of panic. I mean, I've been in a panic a bunch, but I'm trying to think. I mean, most of the stuff I was panicked about is just not that important enough to actually have a panic attack. Like, you know, if you're playing a song on stage, you forget the words, you're in a panic, you know. You're like shit.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I've had a couple of I guess like losing control of your breathing like that, but they were all like post-surgical procedure things where like my pain got out of control. Like, I don't know if it was really a panic. It wasn't because of something I had to do. It was just because of the situation I was in.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that actually sounds more like that's something that was worp to be worthy of a panic attack. But that uh yeah. Yeah, you know, I'm thinking about that another time. During that story, you said, go ahead, Doc's Chip. I actually do, I think I did have a panic attack. Um, my very first knee surgery. Now that I remember, um, I was first of all, it was the first surgery I'd really ever had in my life. Um, it was for some reason I had to get dropped off at like five in the morning. It was really early. So I was like, didn't have a lot of sleep. Uh went in there, they put me in uh in a bed, and then to prep me, uh uh an old lady came in and shaved my leg. Well, while she was shaving my legs, she cut me. And I don't do well with uh with the site of my own blood. And first of all, I was a little nervous to begin with. So now I'm nervous. They're they're I've seen my own blood and stuff already. They'd already stuck, they already had the uh the IV stuck in me, which I wasn't crazy about that either. I, you know, I wasn't used to that. So I'm like, now I got this thing, I'm bleeding out of my knee. I guess I started feeling I I I guess I'll lightheaded and sweaty and stuff like that. And as a matter of fact, the real nurse uh came in and took one look at me. I must have been ghostly white, because I think I've told this story. That's when I got a demerol push or something, and after that I was like, oh shit, got my leg off. I don't even care anymore, you know, whatever. But I guess I I mean I guess that would be classified as a panic attack, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I mean it's it's related to it, but I don't I not a classic. Classically, it's usually because of some kind of anxiety anyway.
SPEAKER_07Situational or performance or yeah. You know, um in front of people on stage, uh uh something like I was doing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, I mean, I can't I can kind of understand the panic attack uh being in front of people, but at the same time, after after you've ate it, ate shit on stage a couple of times, it really doesn't matter anymore. It's like I don't know whatever.
SPEAKER_07I mean, I had to push myself to doing be doing morning radio and getting out in front of people. I had to I I didn't want to, but I I knew if I wanted to grow in uh broadcasting, I had to do it. I pushed myself out there. Now it was always a nervous thing. But then once you've done it several times, it's like I've gotten in front of concerts and and introduced Hall of Notes and whoever Ario Speedwire, you know, all these and once you get used to it. It's okay.
SPEAKER_09During your telling that story, Dean, there, you said you you gave him some ridiculous excuse, I guess, to get out of doing it, it which made me think of what has to be the most ridiculous thing I ever did to get out of work. So I'm gonna tell it and then ask Dr. Chip for his, and then you see if our viewers want to leave a comment. But and Dr. Chip, you're involved in this story too, because this was either on uh Labor Day or Fourth of July. It was a big summer busy weekend, right? And I was at your house um self-medicating my neurodivergent behavior, and I believe you were as well doing the same. And I called, I want to say it might have been Roxy's, I can't remember where it was I worked at the time, but I called and told them my excuse was that I was at the beach and that the waves had washed away my clothes and all my keys and everything, that it was all gone and I had to replace everything, and there was no way I was gonna be able to make it. Now, when I, you know, when I went finally went back to work the day or the day after that, the manager took it, it might have been the bomb group, even, because I think it was I think it was Sylvester that I had this conversation with, but whoever the manager was was like, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. And uh, I said, Listen, you know me well enough, right? Am I a stupid man? And he said, No, I wouldn't say you're stupid. I said, Don't you think if I was gonna make up some bullshit, I would have made up something better than that? And he goes, Yeah, I guess you probably would have. I said, Well, there you go. And to this day, I I used that stupidity to sell that lie, but it was just a such an audacious thing to say water flows away.
SPEAKER_07It couldn't have been a lot of things. It's like your dog ate you know, homework.
SPEAKER_09That's uh yeah. Dr. Schiff, what's the boldest, dumbest, ridiculous thing you ever said to get out of work?
SPEAKER_02I know you're gonna have to go back because, you know, it's been a long time since you had to you work, work, but yeah, I was gonna say, I mean I I can tell you the one time that I tried to get out of work and I couldn't, which is the the wildest story ever. But they used to have this thing, uh I don't think you worked at the gathering yet, but we used to go to this thing, I think I want to say it was called Bar Wars, like the TV show. But yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm not sure that's what it was called. But it would be Bar Olympics. Yes, that's actually what it was called. Bar Olympics. Did you ever did you go? I know of it. I didn't go, but I know and I did work there, but go ahead. Okay, well, one of the one of these Bar Olympics, I was there participating in the Olympics, doing the whole thing, and we were drinking like fish. Um anyway, but I was on call that night, and you know if you're on call, there's not that big a chance you're gonna get called in. So not anyway.
SPEAKER_09I saw I got I lost my job the second time from the bomb group.
SPEAKER_02It involved being on call because I wasn't coming in. So anyway, I'm on call. I literally call these call the gathering from the beach, and I'm like, you guys, uh I hope you don't need me because you don't want me to come in tonight. I'm fucking wasted. And they're like, no, you gotta come in. I'm like, you're kidding, right? And they're like, no. We left like three people call in or some shit like that. And I'm like, well, you gotta be kidding me. So I end up going to work that night, and I was so smashed. I mean, and for and for whatever reason, they put me in the non-smoking section, uh, which is typically like the high turnover section, like people in and out almost as fast as you can go. And dude, I ran over rang over a thousand dollars that night, like one of my all-time highest rings ever. And I remember I remember the the one thing I remember doing is walking into my station with a handful of food, just looking around, going, who the hell ordered this stuff? And I think I asked them, like in literally, like, who ordered this? Just auctioning it off. Did multiple tables, like which table guts gets this food? I was so fucked up. It was insane. But yeah, that was that was, I mean, I guess I could have tried to get out harder, but it was pretty obvious they were not saying taking no for an answer. But yeah, I don't uh I I don't remember ever really having to get out of work. If I really wanted to not work that bad, I just said, look, I ain't coming in, you know, or whatever. I I don't know.
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I was working at the bomb group and uh a buddy of mine had made plans to get particularly trashed one night. Um pills involved and all kinds of junk and stuff and whatnot. And um, so I was on call the next day, and I I was working that day, making plans, you know, because he worked there too. He was a busboy there, but you know, only because he couldn't get his shit together well enough to weigh tables, not because he was young. But uh I remember asking everybody who was scheduled to work the next day, because they were all there that day too. Everybody who was working, it was like a Wednesday. I'm like, yeah, and all these fuckers are working Thursday. I went to each one of them, hey man, there's no way you're you know, you're working tomorrow, right? Because I'm I'm not I'm on call, but I'm not gonna be every one of them swore, no, no, I need the money, I'm gonna be here. So that night I proceeded to get, you know, tore up from the floor up. The next day, I still made the phone call in to just, you know, obligatory phone call to say, yeah, I'm on call, just calling, you know. And they're like, I'm I'm like, I'm on call, but yeah, I'm sure you guys don't need me. Oh, not only do we need you, but uh the opener didn't come in. We need you as fast as possible. I'm like, give me five minutes and I'll call you right back. At the time, I didn't even have a phone, and this was before cell phones. So I had gotten up that morning and driven three blocks over to my mom's house because I had an apartment, but I didn't have a, you know, didn't have a phone yet. I had just gotten the place. There was no landline there yet. Drove to my mom's house to use the phone to call them, standing there in her, and you know, still hung over and mostly high from the day before. So after five minutes, I called him back and said, Yeah, well, now you're short two people because I'm not coming in either. And of course, that was, you know, they fired me for that.
SPEAKER_07Uh we have breaking news, by the way. We uh there was a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck near Cuba. Reports of um, they said shaking in South Florida, the Miami Dade Government Center, Miami Beach City Hall, and Mount Sinai Medical Center were among the places that felt the 6.1.
SPEAKER_09I was gonna say I didn't feel nothing. What time was that today? Just like just now?
SPEAKER_07Um it just came across. It said Monday afternoon. I don't see a specific time.
SPEAKER_02Well, you know, obviously um obviously we survived 6, 6, 26 at 6 o'clock. We did. But I'm thinking about it. He wasn't far off from all these earthquakes. Like in Indonesia just had a giant earthquake uh either yesterday or I think yesterday. So yeah, Edgar Casey wasn't Oh, you know the other person that uh I forgot who who had also predicted something on that day was uh you know that geologist guy that I uh that that uh does all the stuff about the Freemasons uh being over here, you know, and and before like in the Vikings being over here, he discovered the hooked X, the geography guy, uh our geology guy, I should say. And he predicted the end. But he says, well, no, he was saying that the the Freemasons also predicted something was gonna happen 6, 6, 26 at 6 o'clock. So that makes me wonder if this Edgar Casey guy was just reciting some because he was probably a Freemason, you know, back in those days, uh a lot of people were. So I'm wondering if he was just reciting what they they had said. Yeah, you know.
SPEAKER_09My first part of the news of the earthquake is are we getting any kind of minor wave action out of that, you know? A six point one? Surely not enough for any kind of tsunami, but I'm sure there's something.
SPEAKER_02You don't, you know, it's not necessarily the the magnitude of the earthquake. It's what happens is if the earthquake quake is underwater and there's a big shelf, like if a shelf comes loose, that'll create a big a big wave. It's not necessarily just the shaking from the earthquake. It's like if a big landmass slides down like deeper into the ocean or something.
SPEAKER_07One of the meteorologists said uh there's not a tsunami threat from the earthquake.
SPEAKER_09There you go. I would imagine, again, I'm not going to use the right terminology or anything, but I know that there's there's when plates rub against each other, there's when subduction when it goes underneath or when it goes over, and I'm sure that all three different whatever ver or however many different versions there are of the tectonics of the rubbing and the friction could all produce different effects. So we'd have to ask Randy Marsh.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's what they're saying is the big threat to the whole East Coast of America is somewhere over on the other side of the ocean, there's some shelf that they they fear is gonna like a big chunk of it's gonna slide down and create this massive uh wave that'll come over and wipe out the whole East Coast of America. But you know. Who needs clips? Who needs fodder and material?
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the raw brain of the three of us working. I had another clip to go too. I had something to something to talk about, Zillow. We can talk about next time, which is apparently annoying. If I click on it right now, I bet the link probably works again by now. Yeah, maybe. Who knows? Yeah, that was weird. Yeah, there must be something going on with X.
SPEAKER_09When I investigated the meaning of that and of that error, it said something about, you know, like the ways to solve it. It said that usually it is a wait just waited out kind of thing. 15 minutes, some said sometimes 24 hours, but who knows? We'll we'll figure it out. Yeah, they did it just so we couldn't run clips, I'm sure. We didn't plug it one time, but 904-549-9024, the slack line.
