Talks. I am your host, Katherine Hinchey, and I'm very excited to welcome our special guest today, Beth Miller of Soulify Wellness. Beth is a marriage coach, a certified hypnotist, and founder of the Soulify Marriage Saver Program. She has guided hundreds of women through the devastation of infidelity, helping those desperate to save their marriage, end ruminating thoughts, and rebuild trust. Beth is an expert in working with the subconscious mind, blending psychology and neuroscience into her unique approach. One of Beth's signature tools is "Soulify Hypnosis Thought Transformation", or prerecorded hypnosis tracks, a powerful deep meditation, often described as meditation on steroids. These hypnosis tracks help to release and reprogram past traumas and stuck emotions, freeing women from unhealthy patterns in their lives and marriages. Welcome, Beth. Thank you for being here today.

Beth

I'm so excited. We've been working on getting this chat together. And it's gonna be like two girlfriends talking, and we are gonna tell a ton of our secrets to your audience today.

Katherine

So I know you, because I went to you, and you are the reason I became a hypnotherapist. And I said, "I want to do what makes people feel as good as you make me feel." Tell me a bit about the Soulify Wellness and the marriage saver program and what exactly it is that you're doing to help people.

Beth

Yeah, it's simply this. If I were to ask you, how would you want life to be different? How would you want to feel each and every day? And that's where we go. Essentially, whether it's marriage struggles or any other aspect of your life, we all have emotions that are really uncomfortable in our bodies. And some women get really stuck in those. And infidelity is one of the most painful experiences that any woman could feel because there's grief, but it's like the grief is walking around with you. You're like, I don't know who my husband is. I don't know what my marriage is anymore. Is it a fraud? It messes with your mind on such a deep subconscious level. And it's like you're walking through cement and someone just puts these footprints and it's just imprinted all the pain, the memories, text messages of I love you, or the lies that you've then discovered, or the secret messages that he's sending in the bathroom at night, or whatever it is stuck in your head that you then start to question who you are. Start questioning, what is my reality? Is he lying again? And it just messes with your brain so much that this is where I had to go with hypnosis. And it's the one tool that I feel like's been really effective. A lot of women go to talk therapy, they go see a counselor every week, and it helps. Trust me, it helps. It's a tool in the toolbox, but it doesn't go far enough. And a lot of women are really stuck when they find me.

Katherine

Utilizing hypnosis and therapy, because your program utilizes not just hypnosis, and you've got coaching and that too. Talk a little bit about how you marry the two.

Rewiring The Brain With Hypnosis

Beth

Yeah, so I believe, and Kat, you can talk to this too, but we're rewiring the brain, we're creating new neural pathways that are firing the thoughts that we want to feel. So if you could imagine your brain is a super highway and you might have this dominant neural pathway that when things go wrong or you make decisions, you all of a sudden think I'm not enough. If you didn't do well in school or your dad put you down, we want to neutralize those memories because they still have this like root in like if you were a big oak tree, they have these deep roots of I'm not enough because my dad didn't love me the way I wanted to. And so we want to go back to those memories. We want to neutralize them, create the lens of that was my dad, that wasn't me. So that you don't have the super highway neuropathway in your brain that's telling you when you make a mistake you're not enough. So we want to make a new pathway. And so, in order to do that, imagine this if you didn't love yourself and I told you, go look in the mirror every single day and say, I love myself. You know how long it's gonna take to tell yourself you love you, love yourself, believe it, so long versus doing a session with myself or cat. You just get into a state and you go back to times when you didn't love yourself. And so then you start to rewire that story. But what happens is when you get daily coaching, so we have married coaches on our team and you get support every day, they're checking in to be like, hey, did you have a thought about not loving yourself today? Did you have a thought about not feeling in control, not trusting your husband? And they're checking in to see if you're having those thoughts. And then we give you strategies right away to change that, which could be journaling or we have pre-recorded hypnosis tracks that you can then get yourself back to loving yourself. And what we want to do is we want to track you every single day versus leaving you to see us once a week and you go back to old thought patterns. So that's why we have the coaches. We have the coaches that are checking in daily and you're doing your hypnosis sessions.

Katherine

Talk to me a little bit about your journey to getting here. What made you first decide to go with hypnosis? How did you get to this

Beth’s Health Crisis And Awakening

Beth

place? I used to be a teacher. I taught high school and I taught psychology. I've always loved psychology and business, but I was teaching and I ended up having a brain bleed. And yeah, it was pretty scary. I lost my ability to walk on my right side, couldn't write with my right hand. It was terrifying. I remember calling my parents. Actually, I couldn't even tell them the news. I had to give it to someone else to be like, can you tell my parents? Because my biggest question was, am I gonna die? And I ended up spending a month in the hospital where they monitored me and I started to learn how to walk. And what happened was I went to a crazy state because I couldn't teach anymore. I couldn't be a mom anymore. I was worried I was gonna die. And I was just in a really bad place. It's like my life, like what I knew wasn't there. I used to run marathons and or half marathons, couldn't do that. I was kind of in this crisis mode of who am I? And on top of that, my marriage wasn't doing great and things weren't awesome. Lying in a hospital bed, being like, Who am I? Am I gonna die? That's what I kept thinking every day. I was in complete panic mode. And I remember going to see my psychologist, and about six months later, I remember saying to her, I can't do this anymore. She kept telling me, just talk back to your thoughts. And I would, I'd tell them, you're safe, you're okay. And I would do it all day long. I was exhausted. It was so hard. It would fix me a little bit, but it wasn't solving the problem. And I said to her, There's got to be something deeper, there's got to be something more to this because the talk therapy just wasn't cutting it. And then I just went on this deep dive and I ended up doing a bit of work with some shaman, some Reiki work, some other subconscious work. And I ended up stumbling across some modalities that really transformed my life. It was just getting into the subconscious mind and seeing these. It's like you're watching a movie in your head. You need to get relaxed enough, almost like a dream-like state, but you're not there. And I was able to solve things that have been there for so long. And it was childhood stuff that was coming up. And like, I thought I was over that boyfriend, but nope, I wasn't. It was still lingering in the background. And so it was that path that really took me into this healing path of healing physically, which I'm good at. Like I was an athlete. I can do my physio, I can heal my leg and create those neural pathways. And that's what's really cool. I was creating new neural pathways. Like different parts of my brain had to learn how to walk again. So I had to teach other parts of my brain to walk. And so that neuroplasticity was really cool. Plus, I had to create new thoughts about myself. So it was like neuroscience all over the place happening in my brain. And I think from there, I was like, I can't teach anymore. This isn't for me. This is causing me too much stress. And I was researching everything. I'm like, Am I gonna be a natural path? Am I going to be an acupuncturist? What am I gonna do? And I was doing so much research and I stumbled across really the subconscious work is what was helping me. And that's where it all started was right there. I have a tool, and part of me believes that I was meant to do this, that maybe this was a gift that I've had that it's just now been the lights now shining on it.

Katherine

There's so much there to unpack. First of all, the experience of having a brain bleed, where were you when that happened and what did it feel like?

Beth

Yeah, it was luckily a slow bleed that happened over several days. And so it was probably it was a Wednesday where it started to notice things weren't happening, and it was Sunday where it was critical. And it was just a slow, like starting to, I was wearing heels the next day I was wearing flats because I kept finding I was tripping over things. Things got really bad because in my head, I was like, nope, this isn't anything serious. I'm not

Subconscious Work And Spiritual Opening

Beth

going to the hospital. I just need to go to physics, or I just need to go see my doctor. And I was in denial for sure. And then I remember going down the rabbit hole the night before I went in. Do I have MS? Do I have this brain disorder?

Katherine

Okay.

Beth

I ended up waking up that next morning after being in kind of panic mode because I was really paralyzed on the one side. And my um next door neighbor, she's a family physician. And I just sent her a text message and said, I need a friend right now. Can I come over? And she did a quick assessment with me, didn't say a thing. She's like, I'll take you to the hospital now. And she drove me in, and a month later I got out. Listen to your intuition.

Katherine

That is a very powerful thing. Now that you say that, that is one thing you taught me how to do in the program. And now I teach other people how to learn how to listen to your intuition. So that's incredible. Another thing you mentioned in your story is you said that you did some shaman work.

Beth

Oh my goodness, it's so amazing. I remember one of my first sessions was I would do them outside because I could do them virtually with the therapist I was at. So I would, I didn't see her. It wasn't in Zoom, it was more of a phone call. My eyes were closed. Her eyes were probably closed too. And so we didn't really need to see each other. And I remember doing a lot of them outside. I'd sit against a tree or I'd be in a special part of my yard. And I remember her taking me on this crazy path, and I don't even really understand it. But I was in a cave and I was in a bunch of these Jekylls and it smelt like sulfur. And it was like a big healing place for getting rid of my fear. And it was this really cool experiences that I didn't even know I experienced. I'd never really heard them before. I just never heard their voices. And she started to tell me the angels that were around me. And one of the first people that showed up was my father-in-law, all people. It was really cool. And so I started to have conversations with him in some of this work. And I didn't really share a lot of this with people because I thought they'd think I was crazy and cuckoo, and I was already going through a lot. So did that change your spiritual belief system? Totally. Yeah, absolutely. I'm Christian and I struggled with my relationship with God for a while. Is there a God? Are we going to hell if I don't baptize my children? I struggled a little bit with it. And I think I was just at a crisis point where it was really, I felt really alone and I realized I didn't have any spiritual connection at the time. I was very logical and just doing all the time. And so this whole process has brought me closer to God. It's like this kind of higher spirit. And I just feel really like I'm co-creating my life now. Like when I get really still, I'm not alone. Like I can feel around me that I'm being guided and I just need to trust that there's purpose in my life and I'm supposed to be on this path. And when I get in uncomfortable times, whether it's business and just say it's with clients or it's finances or whatever's happening, even with my children, I'm like, okay, all right, God, and why is this here? I'm waiting. Okay, I'll sit in these crappy, horrible, sad, angry feelings and know that the lesson will come and I'll know why I was going through this. So it's really helped me connect. I now sense them and I hear them. And we all have that ability to tap into and we let yourself believe that it's there. So spiritually, totally different place. It's nice not to feel so alone anymore.

Katherine

That's amazing that you have such a connection with your spirit guides and that it does seem like the more challenge that you have in life, right? The deeper you go, the deeper, as you were saying, sitting in those awful emotions and just sitting there and sitting there, the more that you are able to connect with this.

Beth

I was so alone in those moments. And I remember being in the hospital, and one of the nurses told me to start praying to Raphael. And I was like, okay, I'll start doing that. And she was giving me the rundown of what all the archangels do. And I was like, okay, I'll be open to this. And you just need the people that you meet along the way that they come into your life for a reason. You just have to be open to it, to why they're here and open to their suggestions to see if it's in alignment with you.

Katherine

So, how long was your physical healing

Listening To Guidance Through Hard Times

Katherine

journey? How long were you in the hospital and all that?

Beth

Yeah, I was in the hospital for a month. And then the physical journey, I don't know, a couple of years probably of really working at it. And since I've had like brain surgery, craniotomy last December, because there is still bleeding happening. So I'm back again trying to learn how to walk again. I have a limp and I can't actually run yet, but it didn't impact my arm this time, my feet for sure, and my leg. So I'm back on that journey again. And I was really that angry stage again. Why do I have to have this happen? Why is it bleeding again? Because I truly believed I got myself to a place where we can heal ourselves and visualize it going away. And I went through this bit of a crisis too. I thought I could heal myself. And then I talked to someone, she's like, You're not, this is happening for a reason. You're like, it's not maybe you weren't supposed to heal, and maybe you had to go through this experience again for some sort of reason. You just need to surrender to it. It's not that you did anything wrong. I want you to let go of the guilt and shame. You've done the best you can. And because I was being myself up over it.

Katherine

It is that weird when it comes to health issues, that sort of weird place. It's like sometimes things just happen. Sometimes you just get a cold or you just get cancer.

Beth

I know, I know. In those moments, even when someone gets a cold and they feel really upset, like clients, I can't do anything. I'm frustrated. I'm like, you gotta sit in that. Maybe you're being told you need to slow down and just be with yourself and your thoughts. Sometimes we have to just stop, and maybe that's the message. I think that's what happened. I think I wasn't listening to God, and God was like, all right, you're not listening. Whack. Now not able to walk. And you have to sit in the hospital bed by yourself and just figure this out. It flipped my world upside down to the point like I don't even know who I am. But it actually flipped my world the right side up. And there's this huge grief of who I was and who I thought I was, how to rediscover who I am. And I started questioning even my thoughts. And is that me? Is that not me? As I tried to figure out who authentically I was.

Katherine

So now talk to me about how you came to Soulify.

Beth

Yeah, it just came to me. Like it just rolled itself out. It's not like I was effortless. All of a sudden I'm supposed to join a business program to learn how to run a business. And then all of a sudden, I knew I was doing hypnosis, but you have to obviously pick someone. You can't pick everyone. And you could, but I really like working with women. And thoughts, women started coming to me that were really struggling at the infidelity. That's painful. And so I really started working with them and just started getting more and more clients because 20% of all women are impacted by infidelity. It's horrible, it's absolutely devastating. But the thing is, there's hope that and there's tools that you can get to the other side of it. So like it just kept unfolding. All of a sudden, it's like, okay, you're doing this program to learn how to run a business. Now, you know what? You're gonna start do a few posts on social media and you're going to start talking. All of a sudden, this person would reach out to me and it would be maybe a mentor or someone else that's in that space of marriage. And I started doing Instagram lives with them, or people would invite me to be on their podcast, like you did. People just kept showing up, and I just had to trust the process, and it just kept building and snowballing, and it's phenomenal. And I just I can't even put it into words. I'll think my whole team as it was me, but now it's a team of eight, and

Relapse, Surrender, And Self-Compassion

Beth

all like so many of you were clients and just brought into this world for a reason into my life. So there's a lot of gratitude for where I'm at and a lot of peace that this is where I'm supposed to be.

Katherine

So have you noticed over the years any trends or any pitfalls or things to look out for? Because you say it's 20% of women that go through this.

Beth

Oh my. I don't know. I don't know if there's a trend. I really don't. I just know it sucks. Like some women are blindsided, some women they have suspicions and they just decide to ignore it because they don't want that to be the reality. Like I've had some wives that it's like their daughter's weddings coming up in a couple of weeks, so they just choose to ignore it because they don't want that to be the reality.

Katherine

I feel like it impacts everyone, social economic class, like everyone. And I don't know if this is just anecdotally, I've noticed that a lot of times it's when the marriage has suffered like a huge challenge, like a health challenge or a financial challenge or something that becomes another sort of thing that kind of puts a fissure in the relationship.

Beth

You know what? That's a really good point because I think everyone comes to a point, like for me, it was health crisis, other people it's financial and or it could be relationship, whether it's the loss of someone. But what happens is you get to this crossroads and it's either you're gonna rise above it or you're gonna not like the feelings you have and go to unhealthy habits, whether it's sex addiction, whether it's shopping, whether it's gambling, whether it's drinking. And so I think you're right, you're totally right on that, that it's a crisis mode and you rise above or you sink to it. And then when you get to that place, a lot of times that brings up a lot of trauma from your past. And that's when all of a sudden they realize that they feel like they're not enough or that they've been running from certain feelings and it just catches up to them. And they try to look for dopamine elsewhere.

Katherine

Yeah, that's true. And talk to me a little bit about what do you have a vision for Solify next steps or where you see it's going?

Beth

Ah, it's a great question. I would love to run more support groups. I have this belief that healing needs to be accessible for everyone. I want to make sure that I'm offering anything from free resources up to the intensive 12-week program and all the little gaps in between that give them in the tools they want. And so support groups are something that we've tried to run, but haven't been successful. So I'm just flowing with that. All right, it's not our time. But I keep getting these little

Building Solify And Serving Women

Beth

drips or drabs that it's time to do this. I had a client last week and she's help out with one. So I just I want to give back, console others because I was there and I want to give others hope. And so I'm like, okay, maybe that's the next little carrot being dangled. Like maybe that's the opening to support groups. But I yeah, I'm just flowing with things right now. And I know the messages will come on what to do, but love presenting, I love teaching and helping others.

Katherine

I think you're just amazing. I'm just so grateful that I met you and it's changed my life. And I just know so many women that feel that way, that feel like we've just been this light that has shined the pathway forward. So thank you. Is there anything you want to share before we move on to the next segment?

Beth

Maybe back to that original advice. Close your eyes and listen to your intuition. So it's simple as if you're at a spot where you don't know the answer, I think you have to sit with it with your eyes closed because the answers are always within. And so often we want to ask others, which I do. What are your thoughts? What are your opinions? And we collect opinions, but nothing really feels right because you don't have the confidence to hear your intuition and what you're supposed to do. So simply closing your eyes and just asking yourself the question and just see if you hear any little chatter. And typically it's not like a big sentence, like, okay, Beth, you're supposed to do this and then this. It's usually just a yes or a no. And so that's my big advice. One thing you can always do is just close your eyes and connect with yourself, ask yourself what the truth is within. And how do people find you? We're everywhere. My assistant throws me up everywhere. So I don't know. I guess the best spot to go would be like if you're having marriage struggles, you could grab our guide. It's called freemarriageguide.com. So www.free marriageguide.com. Or you could check us out over Soulify Wellness website, all social media platforms and Soulify, Spotify, but it's Soul. So S-O-U-L-I-F-Y Wellness. And yeah, I'm sure you'll find us out there on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest. I don't know, wherever you hang out, I'm probably there. I don't know, wherever you hang out, I'm probably there. Did you want to lead us through something? Yeah, for sure. I'm gonna lead you

Why Affairs Happen And What Helps

Beth

through a heart opening where we're just going to check in with your heart and where it's at today. Anyone listening, if you're in a safe spot. So if you're driving the car, just kind of listen. Don't close your eyes. But if you're in a safe spot with no wheels not moving, just close your eyes. So just everyone close your eyes and take a deep breath in. That's it. Exhaling really slow. And when you're ready, just breathe in another strong inhale. And if you can, do a strong exhale with an audible. If you want, you can place your hand on your heart or even your other hand on your belly. Just continue breathing in through your nose. And out through your mouth. Just focusing on the sound of my voice. Let yourself drop in. If you need to move your shoulders or you know, just to like a little bit of any other tension you're holding on to, you can do that now. And then yeah, focusing on the sound of my voice. So with each breath in, just feel that relaxation just seep into your body. Just feel that relaxation. Let your breath guide you. Let it flow into your body. Spreading and flowing. With whatever color comes to mind. I want you to breathe that beautiful color in like a big ribbon. Flow in like a waterfall, right into your body, right down to your belly. Breathe in that color, allowing it to spread and flow. Spread and flow within your body. Swirling around. Sternum into your spine. Rib to rib. See that color spread. As you breathe in, as you go through this process, you might find that you can send that breath, that color, right into your brain. Right up through the top of your head. Just take a moment with this

Vision For Accessible Healing

Beth

and just get curious. With that beautiful breath flowing throughout your body, I want you to go to your heart. So now with your mind and your body one. Just drop into your heart. Picture your heart. Sure, it might look like an anatomical heart, but it might just look like something else. Might have a color. Might have a size, texture. Go into your heart. Get really curious. What does it look like today? Might feel whole or incomplete. Might be parts that are broken. See your heart. Just go with whatever sensations come up as you sense your heart. You may feel emotions coming up. Sit with them. They're there for you. Looking at your heart. Is it open? Maybe there's a barrier or a wall around it. Maybe a shield. Just checking in, is there any guarding happening? Is it guarded? If so, what does that look like? Whether it's a barrier, a wall, a shield. What's guarding it? What does it look like? Whatever images, thoughts come to mind, just go with it. You may see or you may just sense. If it's open, how does that feel and look? If it's guarded, what does that look like? If it needs to open up, sit

Heart-Opening Guided Practice

Beth

with that for a moment. Can you see or sense what it is guarded from? What keeps coming at your heart? That it might be in the state it's in. Yeah, go with whatever images, thoughts come in. What's playing with your heart, impacting it, putting it into the condition it's in. See that play out. And as you see that, ask yourself, what does my heart need? Listen. What does your heart need? Words. Thoughts. What's coming up? Sitting with this, simply asking, what do you need? It may be a feeling or a simple word. What does your heart need today? What do you need to let go? What do you need to let go so that it'll open? Heal. Do you need to release something? Is there something stored in your heart? Emotions. Sometimes you can see objects. Sometimes you can see things like sludge or darkness or rocks. Maybe it's pain or hurt. What's there that needs to be released? Maybe it's the wall, the shield that needs to come down. What are you willing to release today? Can you ask that guard to come down? That wall, that shield, or whatever's there. Will you be okay if you let it go? Even if it's just a piece today. You'll be okay. Just feel this, see this. Sense this. Maybe even bringing in some beautiful bright white light to protect your heart. Let these reasons go. Even seeing a little fire burning. Have fire within you. Toss these reasons into it. Toss whatever pain or pieces, whether you know what they are or not. Let it burn, or whether you need to put it in a container. Whether you need God or someone else to reach in and grab what's holding you back or keeping you stuck or hurting. Let it go. Let it go. Repeat to yourself, I let this go. I need to let this go. And you do so because you love yourself. I don't need this anymore. Whatever's there, you're no longer in charge of me. And take a moment and see what you need to put back in place. What was there or what you need to put around your heart. You may tell yourself, I love myself. I'll be okay. I am okay. I am safe. I no longer carry these weights. Then continue to release this. Continue to toss anything that needs to go into that fire. Feel your heart. Feel it respond. Just bring in that light. Bring in that love. Feeling of love, the light. Expand it. Like you did that color when you first were breathing in. Bring in that color if you'd like. Make it expand. Let it bubble within you. Start to smile and see if you can put a smile on your face. Let the love start to bubble. Feel the love. I am safe. I am loved. I'm okay. Feel the warmth. The soothing. Feel it in your body. Challenge your body. Bring it in. Bring it on. Breathe in love. And out. Breathe in love. There's a dial on the wall. Turn up the intensity. Breathe in love. I breathe in love. I breathe in love. So just stay with this. Let this feeling stay with you for the rest of the today. You can come back to this visualization at any time. This is for you. You go into this state very easily and can see and sense

Reflection, Resources, And Closing

Beth

everything you've sensed today again. That light is always there. You can tap into it. I'll just count from three to one. You're just going to slowly open your eyes, take a breath in, roll your shoulders. Just say something loving to yourself. Three, two, and one.

Katherine

That was a great. Thank you. What did your heart look like? Do you want to share? Oh, yes. It was the greenish blue blobby, spongy blobby. It had lots of lights shining, rays shining out of it. Nice. Is that what it looked like after, or is that what it looked like before you started? In the beginning, the first time. And then after, I don't know, it just expanded. It didn't really look like it was more like me. Oh, it turned into a form.

Beth
