Hi everyone. Welcome back to Hyp Talks. I'm your host, Katherine Hinchey. I just have to say this is episode number 19. And it has been such a joy and so much fun to be doing this podcast. And I've just been delighted really to hear some of the feedback that people have had for the different guests that I've had on and for the different topics that we've discussed. And it truly has been really the joy of my life for the last 19 weeks doing this. So there you go. And so I'm about to graduate from um HMI with my additional degree. It's an AOS in mind body psychology, which means that I am now going to be a clinical certified hypnotherapist versus just a certified hypnotherapist. And it's been a wonderful year learning all about the different modalities in psychology. There's so much out there.
Welcome And Training Update
SpeakerI don't know, hard science. And it's more than that. It's almost like studying philosophy. And sometimes it gets pretty out there. Of course, there are lots of hard science aspects, including studying the DSM five, which is that big look of all the mental disorders. But the year really went way beyond that. And it's just fascinating to me. And I do think that it has really deepened my ability to hold space for my clients and to just be able to have a different perspective and really help people through things that they're going through. So yeah, I'm grateful. And I'm excited for our guests that we're going to be having on in the coming weeks. And I'm also excited that I've spoken to my big Seester, Jacqui, and we're going to have her back on a regular basis because people really like her. And I do too. And we had a lot of fun with that episode. So stay tuned for that. This week, though, I'm going to do another one of my guided imageries for you that I'd like to do with clients who are coming to a sort of crossroads where they were just really feeling stuck in a rum in their life. Feeling anxious all the time and worried and afraid. And so this one also taps in a little bit into a connection of spirituality, which is not everyone's comfort. So if this is not for you, no problem. You can skip this one and head to the next one. But if spirituality is something that you have been thinking about or even deeply involved in, I like to use this imagery along with others. Crossroads Imagery And Spiritual Note

Safety Setup And Settling In

SpeakerNow just imagining you are in your favorite place in nature, allowing yourself to just be there now, seeing what you see, hearing what you hear, noticing any smells, the ground beneath you, the air on your skin, just breathing it in, how wonderful it is to just be here now. In this place that you love, drinking it all in,
Nature Walk And Inner Light
Speakerit's the perfect temperature for you. Perhaps there's even a gentle breeze, and just begin walking along a path, feeling the soft ground beneath you as you walk, connecting with a deep warm, radiant light that starts to shine, coming out of your chest, filling your whole body. And as you walk along in your special place on this path, this light emanating from you illuminates everything in your path as you walk along, reflecting back to you. Wonderful things, the plants, the leaves, flowers, birds. And as you walk along, of course, you come to a crossroads. The way forward that feels right for you now. And as you continue along this path, just allowing your light to shine and illuminate everything before you. And turn around and look back at everything behind you and how far you've come. And what, if anything, does that stir up inside? How does it feel in your body? And
Two Paths And Body Signals
Speakerturn around again and look forward. Continue walking, shining your light. And now instantly you find yourself back, back at the crossroads where you first made your way down the path. And now allow your light to illuminate and shine. Taking the other path, the one you did not take before. And begin walking this way. Seeing what you see, hearing what you hear, allowing your light to illuminate all that's around you. Seeing how your light affects all that's around you, and how it reflects back to you. Noticing what feelings come up. Again, how your body is feeling, looking ahead on the path toward the future. Take a pause, turn around, and look back, taking in how far you've come. How does that make you feel? Once again, turning around again and looking ahead now toward the future. And now, once again, instantly you find yourself back where the crossroads were. But now instead of seeing two pathways, there's a third path visible to you that you didn't see before, and a fourth, and a fifth, and actually there are many, many paths open to you now. Allow your light to guide you, selecting the path that feels exactly right for right now, and begin walking along this path, shining your light, illuminating all that's around you, noticing how your light affects everything it shines on, and eventually your path comes to an open field,
New Paths And Mountain Climb
Speakera meadow leading toward a mountain, and you begin walking toward the mountain with each step more certainty, more knowing, and you begin walking up that mountain. To your surprise, it feels almost easy, effortless, and you can just enjoy the air on your skin, the perfect temperature, the beauty all around, the flowers, the grasses, the trees. Walking up your mountain, it's very steep mountain now, but it still feels effortless, and the peak is almost into the clouds. It's so high, so high that from the edge of the mountain, looking down, you can't see the bottom. You raise your arms, opening your heart, allowing your light to shine upward toward the sky, feeling that powerful feeling of being almost on top of the world. And in a moment, and if it feels right, you're going to step off the edge of the mountain because you know, you know you have faith and you believe that you are not going to fall to your peril. Something or someone is going to be there to intervene, to catch you, to make sure you arrive safely back down into the meadow. Take a few moments, allowing your light to really, really shine. And at the count of three, if it feels right, you'll step off the mountain. One, two, three. Stepping off the mountain now. And however your subconscious mind finds that safety net, just go with it. Perhaps it's a staircase
Leap Of Faith And Safe Return
Speakeror a bridge, or maybe it's a giant dove with soft wings, and you fly on its back. Or maybe a waterfall, or an angel, or something else. And whatever it is, it brings you back safely and gently to the meadow.
Speaker 1And just take a moment and take it all in.
SpeakerHow far you've come, all of the different things you've encountered and overcome, and the faith you've had to have to land safely and gently. At zero, drifting a little deeper, locking it all in. At one, shutting the door to the subconscious mind, blocking all negatives, even any negatives from your own self. Two, becoming aware of your surroundings, the room you're in. Three, three is a very special number for each and every time you hear or see the number three, you'll be reminded of that light within you. And four, coming up even higher now, and five. One, two, three, four, five. Eyes open, one and one and away. Thank you for coming on that journey. Happy journey.
