Welcome to the Crazy Ralph Podcast. I'm your host, Jason, with your friendly neighborhood, Uncle Pete.
SPEAKER_01Alright, what's going on? How you been doing this week?
SPEAKER_02I've been pretty good, pretty good, pretty excited about this episode. So, as a reminder, uh, last week, if you haven't watched it, we uh we did uh our last episode, pardon me. Uh we did uh locations. We went through the locations of Friday the 13th, and now we're doubling down this episode as we are going to be bringing on someone who has visited quite a few Friday the 13th locations, and uh we're excited. So we'll bring them on right away, unless Pete, you got something to say.
SPEAKER_01No, man. Um yeah, we talked about the locations. Now we get to interview somebody who actually went to the filming locations, which is a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_02It is, it is for sure, and uh a little envious. So uh without further ado, he is a pop culture YouTuber with over 330,000 followers. Uh he's visited more graves than you can count. Uh and uh can't even read my own writing here, but it's okay. Um, a ton of great content, and uh, we have his link below so you can get to his page. And why he is so special for us is he has been to several Friday the 13th locations, and uh I believe 10 out of 12, and he joins us today, Scott on tape. All right, so welcome to the show, Scott. What's up, guys? So, Scott, Uncle Pete, Uncle Pete, this is Scott, Scott on tape.
SPEAKER_03What's up?
SPEAKER_02So, one of the reasons, I mean, you've got a great uh channel, you're uh you're really into the pop culture world, and we know that and we love that. And um, but one of the reasons that we are drawn to you is uh a shared love for Friday the 13th, and especially the fact that you've been to several locations. How many have you been to?
SPEAKER_00Well, I I think you have the wrong person. I don't know anything about Friday the 13th or location. What uh really confused by what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_02I I apologize for our viewers. We're new to the show. Oh, okay. You're a goalie. Okay, gotcha, gotcha.
SPEAKER_00I'm not a goalie. No, no, um, I've been uh I've been to um 10 of the 12 locations.
SPEAKER_0210 of the 12. Safe to say you haven't been to outer space, so I'm assuming Jason X is out.
SPEAKER_00I have been
Jason X
SPEAKER_00to uh I have been to that location, actually, because it wasn't filmed in Outer Space, it was actually filmed downtown Toronto. Uh and I got to go on that set when I was younger because my friend played uh was in the movie. That's it. So we got to go on it. It was on a Sunday, and gosh, when was when did that movie come out? 2000? No.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh oh year, I think 2001.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So sometime around then we got and he said, Yeah, come over to the studio, I'll get you. It was it will look back then, especially the Toronto studios, and he took us on, so we went we walked along the spaceship.
SPEAKER_02That's cool. Yeah, that was amazing.
SPEAKER_00I was such a huge fan of Friday 13th at the time, but I didn't really I didn't take any pictures, and also I didn't um it was really fast. Like we were looking around at other things, but I was like, Oh, that's so cool. But I wasn't really thinking about Friday 13th, you know, like really how cool it was that I was on that set. But yeah, it was uh it was what it was, I think it took up two studios down there, so they had the cockpit and part of the galley, and but all the different rooms they were on the different set. I didn't see those great things. I could have, but I don't think. But it was nighttime. It was pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02That's pretty unbelievable. And I think it's uh it's it's special that we uh start off the locations with uh the greatest Friday the 13th film ever made, Jason X. Um but we will uh we will start. We we're not necessarily go in order, but I think it's a logical, um logical way to go about this. So uh first of all, like when did this when did location, visiting locations, become a thing for you?
SPEAKER_00Uh probably uh uh in the 80s. My mother had told me uh that Adventures in Babysitting was filmed in Toronto, and I loved that movie, still do. And uh she took me to the house from it. I forget how she found it, the the the babysitting house. And took me to that up by Sunnybrook Hospital off of Bayview. And um, I was just like, what? What is how is it what what do you mean? What? Huh? And and then I found out later that uh Chris's house from Adventures in Babysitting, you know, Elizabeth Shu's house, yeah, right like two blocks away from my house where I grew up. So my friends and I rode our bikes over there and stood out the side. You know, this is way before the internet. I don't remember, I don't remember how we've got the address. I don't remember what, you know, it must have been in a newspaper somebody clipped. And so I just and ever since then, I and then I have a book, I was just looking at it yesterday. I got in the 90s, which had it's all about movie locations. It was all about movie locations. I uh and it was very expensive to buy the book, and my girlfriend and I at the time were in Buffalo, and I saw the book and I was like, Oh man, that's so expensive. He's like, just get it, you know you want it. And I took it to the counter and they charged me 99 cents. There was a mistake meant to be.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, fate, right?
SPEAKER_00So I can show you the bug, it's really cool. So they had every movie, so I just started going all around to different movie locations on trips with uh her and with friends, all over.
SPEAKER_02That's great, that's pretty cool. Um, so the uh before we get into the Friday 13th, I want to know you said you've been to 10 of the 12-ish. Which ones haven't you touched on? So this way we'll omit.
SPEAKER_00Uh I haven't been to Jason Goes to Hell. Uh so part nine. Uh that happy to omit that one. Yeah, uh, not my favorite, but I think for for the sake of doing it, I might uh do it when I'm in LA in a couple of weeks. I know a couple of locations. I'm gonna I'm gonna see. It's not it's not something that's pressing, you know what I mean? Like but um that and then I would maybe go down to um the studios and do Jason X, even though I I've got friends that you know could probably maybe get me in there, but yeah, I don't even have to go in to do it because it's nothing to show. Empty studios. Yeah, you know, just go and stand outside and do a 10-minute video, tell the story of how I was on the set, show some set pictures that they have just to just to complete it. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02That's how you do it, YouTubers. That's how you do it. So so you you started you start you start your YouTube channel, and was Friday the 13th were were those videos what started you on your way? Were they the ones that kind of started taking off, or what what content actually started getting you, you know, taking some traction?
SPEAKER_00Friday, well, definitely I mean definitely Friday 13th was right, uh would have been within the first year that I did the first one. And it uh I remember getting I remember I still remember comments on it. I still remember like you know, other people that had been there, other people have probably had been to the camp in the the town, Blairstown, and all that. Uh but I still remember comments and people sending me their clips and somebody wanting to collab with me because they went to the camp and they went across the lake. Remember that scene in the in the first one where they're they're looking, it's the killer, looking through the the I guess the tree, the bushes.
SPEAKER_03Yep, yep, yep.
SPEAKER_00They had that footage, they got that footage, the exact like angle, and I was like, oh, that's so cool. So I remember that, but it wasn't really till I uh my Michael Jackson grave video is what did it what did it for me, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Wow, all right. Scarier than Jason, Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_00I got a lot of I got I mean for the time I was amazed at how many people were watching it, you know. I was like that's great.
SPEAKER_02I I have been to uh I did the uh Crystal Lake Tours, so I have been to part one, so um, you know, and that's gonna be in another episode, but
Friday the 13th 1
SPEAKER_02um with part one, did you go before they did the Crystal Lake Tours? Yes, you did, so you would you you kind of you asked permission and you got on, I'm sure, right? No, no, no, okay.
SPEAKER_00No. Uh at that point, at that time there was absolutely no way of this is 2017, right? So they didn't do the tours, and it was very like this is a private camp, this is a Boy Scout camp. Camp. Very strict, you know, and don't, don't, you know, there's just that's what I read about it, right? But so at the time I was I did the town, I was like, well, I'm gonna go to the camp and see at least get the entrance way. And then when I was there, I was like, Well, I'll just drive down, you know, and uh there's no there there aren't any no trespassing signs, or there wasn't then at least. Yeah, but you know, I didn't uh even even back then, and I'm still like that now, I don't I would never trespass. And also I didn't want and see any kids because it was the summertime, so I didn't want to get any kids. So I literally got out of my car, part, and it was I was scared. I was like, you know, and and Jason, you know me now, and you've maybe seen some of my videos. I go ever, you know. I'm not you know, I'm not afraid to ask, I'm not afraid to just go up to a house and film and on the when it's in the public. But back then I was a little like also because it's a kids' camp. So just took the video and got it, and then put that up, and that was cool. So then they started doing the tours, but for some reason I never really I felt like after a couple of my friends went and did it and did the tours, and I saw all their pictures they were sending me, and peep like viewers were sending me pictures from the tours. I almost felt like okay, I don't know if I need to go, not because of other people have gone, that would never stop me, but just because I felt I felt like I've seen it. I know what I mean. I like to be uh, you know, surprised, or I like the viewers to see things at the same time as I'm seeing things. And I just feel like if um I went, I would just be like, well, yeah, that's where that's where Kevin Bacon was killed. That's where, you know, that's almost like no spoilers. You know, all the different spots that they show exactly where it happened. That'd be cool, but I feel like I've seen it. But I still I was just driving out of New York, like uh early October, and I I was 16 miles, maybe less away from Blairstown. I was like, maybe like you know, because I still love seeing it. But then in my head, I was like, I got some I I wanted to get home, and I was like, I know exactly what it looks like. I'm gonna get out and I'm gonna after five minutes, you know. But you know, I don't take it for granted, but I was just like it's always gonna be there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and since uh since you've been there, Blairstown is kind of like up their game, right? They're embracing it so.
SPEAKER_00I've actually been to Blairstown about two, about two three times.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, yeah, cool. All right, Pete.
SPEAKER_01I don't want to hog so um I was watching one of your videos this morning is when you did Friday the 13th, part four. I loved how I think you had your friend Brian with you, and like, hey, we figured out I don't know how he did it, where the hitchhiker was. Yeah, I just think going that extra step I thought was like super cool. I'm like, I don't know how he did, like he found out like, yep, they're probably sitting over here. Right. Are there any other locations that you had to find like that, or maybe in the future you'd like to find that exact location, like in part six where the guy gets shot with the paintballs or something like that? Any other locations?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, oh well, you're talking about the paintball scene? Yeah, yeah, that's actually one that uh a few people have asked me about, and uh that is probably unless you get somebody who worked on the film, you're not gonna nobody's gonna find that exact spot because it says the the the forest basically where where it was shot. It's a forest, you know what I mean? Like there are some people, there are some friends of mine on YouTube that uh love to match up trees and rocks, and I'm the exact opposite. I'm like, I'm like, oh man, are you kidding me? Like, give me a building, please.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, plus it's been 40 years, so there's really not much to go on, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's it's almost impossible. There's nothing distinguishing about that scene in terms of what it looks like in the background. So unless you find something, but that's something that I always think about. I'm like, damn, I missed that spot. Now, Jason's grave from part six, because they filmed parts of it in the cemetery, but then they did the other part in a studio, but they also did part of the grave in another area of town. Um uh, so that's Georgia, uh past Covington, uh, not too far from the camp, Camp Camp David, whatever it's called, the Camp Morgan camp. Um, I went and found that spot where I and I that's I have a video of that up where I think that they filmed that because I got some information and it looks exactly like it, but there's no way to actually tell. And I and I don't like to put up a big video for a film location or anything, but unless I know it's exactly 100%. But that one I said, I'm pretty sure, you know, I'm pretty sure, but you know, got to go to the cemetery and the camp and all that. Very cool.
SPEAKER_01And another one I was thinking about. You've been to, you know, obviously you big Friday the 13th are a goalie fan. Um, and you know, you've seen all the movies obviously multiple times. If you could build your perfect Camp Crystal Lake Friday the 13th, i.e., you want the lake from part two, the cabin from part four, like some of your favorite locations. How would you build it? Like, what was your favorite lake, cabins?
SPEAKER_00That's a good question. I definitely okay, so I would I I you know part six is so um uh although I I would want the barn from part three. I'd want, you know, the the house which is gone from part three there. I would want uh the lake from part one and then the camp from part six. Because the camp is still standing and everything's very recognizable. Those so put all those together, that would be the perfect. But for me, Friday 13th, um the smaller the lake, the better. Part two is a huge lake in terms of crystal lakes. Part seven is there's so many alligators, like it's on I was petrified out there by myself of the alligators, because I've touched every crystal lake, because that's something I make myself do, is make sure I touch every single which is stupid, but I make sure I do it, and that scared the hell out of me, part seven. I was like, there's a million eyes on me right now, and none of them are human. So, but you gotta have a barn, like you gotta bring the barn back, which they did in 2009, which was uh, you know, the the reboot, which was which is one of my favorites, because they did it right, you know. They did they didn't have a camp, right? They oh yeah, they did, sort of, at the beginning and the abandoned camp. So they still had that, which is cool, you know. But yeah, definitely I want I love the barn.
SPEAKER_01And um also um the Never Hike in the Snow, Never Hike Alone films. Did you ever think about those locations?
SPEAKER_00No, never really got into those. I don't I I you know I watched the new one, that one that just came out. Uh I watched it. Yeah, and you know, no, I like you know, it's a hard work, and I'm sure, you know, the fan-made ones, I'm not gonna uh you know, I gotta sometimes think about um maybe I would like to see them, but I gotta think about time, cost, all that sort of thing. So and then would there be people interested in seeing uh outside of us, you know, and family location people, is it gonna be worth it for me to go wherever the heck they film that? But you know, but sometimes you know, if you go to like say the the Hotel from the Shining or something, that may not even do well either, and that's one of the biggest horror movies of all time. But so you never know.
SPEAKER_02How much prep is it to actually go to a location? So you you know where the location is, obviously, and you're gonna go. But how much time do you put in prepping and making sure you get everything right? Because Lord knows if you get something wrong, you're gonna have like uh a hundred comments basically telling you you're wrong. Oh, yeah. So uh so how much uh how much pressure and how much prep is on you for that?
SPEAKER_00Uh I maybe maybe I felt the pressure before. I don't I saw you know, I don't because to me it's it's it's almost like it's filming locations from a horror movie or you know, or filming locations from any movie. Um people that line it up, you know, the shot exactly. This is how it was. I'm less like, okay, that's cool, but I'm not precious like that about it. I'm not like you know, I want to show everything, but you know, getting into sometimes like, and this you can see this crack behind them is still there 30 years ago it's like okay, like yeah, keep going. But which is cool, but some people love that stuff, but I'm like sometimes it's like, and here's a building behind me, and then I'll cut in, you know, uh the scene from the movie or a screenshot, and that's m enough for me, yeah. But you know, because it takes because people don't realize how long getting to each location takes, um, especially if you're doing multiple, and then also how long uh it takes to film them, and then the editing for these filming locations one. Because I don't like to just put in screenshots, I like to put in scenes, and I do like to match them up and have them going at the same time. Yeah, but I don't uh sometimes I try to match up maybe iconic shots, you know, match up a show. And you know, but I've got a friend of mine that comes along with me to a few of them now, and like and say Brian from that did part four with me. He's excellent with stuff like that. We he's got you know, we both have an eye for the okay, that's where it was, that's where it was. And he'll already have either been there or he'll him or my friend Randy, who also does this stuff, they'll say, Okay, you film and uh we'll get the matchups for you, like the screenshots, and we'll send them to you afterwards for promotion, which is which helps a lot because you know, then I don't have to worry about, you know, I just get it on video. But yeah, you know, it takes a lot of pressure.
SPEAKER_02And you do, but you do, um, you know, while you're not a stickler for every last detail like some of the others out there, um, you do uh put in a good effort to make sure you you you know.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I make sure that I'm at the I'm make sure that I'm at the right spot. Uh I've I you know it's sometimes you run into you get to a place and it doesn't look at all like what you think it's going to look like. And you have to you have to work on the spot, you know, and you're like, geez, was this I don't know. Like I can think of uh tons of movies where I've done that for sure. And where I've turned around and been like, oh, you know, yeah, after I've been searching for something for an hour, there's the spot right behind me. And that's happened with not just Friday 13th. I can think of lots of family locations, but so no, I always try to get it right. And then if if I get it wrong in a video, people like no, it was behind you, or it's off to, you know, I'm just like, oh, you know, I'm I'm not going back to f fix that.
SPEAKER_02But the one thing one thing I will say though, like if you know, again, if you're not uh bang on with the details, you know, I feel like your videos add a lot of uh comedy and entertainment value, and and that is why I I I like I enjoy watching your uh it's a lot better. And once again, it's Scott on tape. Link is in the bottom.
SPEAKER_00Um let me uh let me add to that because one thing is I I I have people that watch my channel for you know Graves, Celebrity uh Scandals, MM, Kurt Cobain. So I'm gonna do filming locations. I have friends that do film locations just for people who like filming locations, right? So really about 2018, 2019, roughly around then, I was like, in the beginnings, I was like, I'm gonna make I gotta make them more for people who don't watch film locations. I gotta make it so my audience that watches other stuff maybe will be like, okay, we'll still tune into whatever this is, film locations from something they've never seen, or maybe a movie they've seen once and they'd be interested in seeing it. So I try to make it a little more, you know, fun and have fun at the locations. I explain each movie. I always explain, I know friends friend of mine that don't explain the plot at all, they just get right in. Here's the where they say, here's where they it's like, well, what if somebody's never seen the movie? You still want them to watch your video. Yeah, well, that's something that I try to do. I try to be make it fun.
SPEAKER_01Communications should be fun, they shouldn't be like, you know, like because like if somebody watched your video on the Kurt Cobain one, so but and you're now in their feed. So if they watch your Fire 13th video just because they want to see your other content, but they're not familiar with the franchise, right? The introduction helps introduce them. They may not know who Jason is.
SPEAKER_00Right. And if you see my latest, my later Fire 13th ones, I'm having a lot more fun than you know, the other ones I'm a little more conscious of what I'm doing, but I'm having a lot more fun and just joking around. It's an art location.
SPEAKER_02It's an art. There's storytelling going on, and like, you know, and the ones that uh have the following and have the views are the ones that are able to tell the story, whether and in uh all different ways, right? Everybody has their strengths, um, and you definitely play to yours. Okay, so I wanna I want to kind of go through uh uh almost each uh location. Uh the first one I ever saw you do, the first time I ever, my introduction to Scott on Tape was Friday the 13th. Part two. Now, part two is uh is a fan favorite for sure because the camp like I've always said the camp looks like a camp. It looks like you know, um, you know, some things are no longer there, some things are a little trickier to get to. And since you've recorded there, there have been changes. But
Friday the 13th part 2
SPEAKER_02let's talk about part two. Why don't you share a little bit of an experience on wow on uh filming at uh that camp crystal lake, where it is exactly and uh yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, it's uh well Waterbury is where the house from the beginning was, you know, Alice's house. Oh where this she steps off. So it's that's Waterbury, that's along the coast, kind of no, not gonna be. I mean, you know, it's not far from Hartford and all that. Uh and I had a friend that lived in the town at the time. Um, so they came along with me. They filmed, they helped me film it. I I remember that house is now gone. That house has been torn, Alice's house, and they filmed the interior somewhere else. So I just did, I remember on that trip, I only did the house, 530 part two, Alice's house or something. Yeah. And then must have been the following year, maybe 2018, um, I thought about going to the camp. I had been, I was in Boston uh at Boston Calling scene Eminem. I was at a festival, and then the next day I woke up, I was like, uh so I long story short, so I was like, okay, I gotta drive to this camp. Um and that night I got a um I have uh issues with my jaw, and so I got really watched the video. Yeah, and so I had to get emergency. I got so I got taken to this oral surgeon. They're like, you need this, this, and this, and you need it now. And I was like, where do I go for that? They're like, there, across the street. I'm like, cool. So I went across the street, and they're like, You gotta go to a hospital, whatever the hell it was. You need plastic surgery, like all like oral surgery, plot by plastic surgery. With I was like, What the thank God I had insurance, which I carry with me. So they I had they they they had to rush me in. They had to get it was my so they I've I can't even remember because I've had this problem, I had this problem once again in LA about three years ago, which wasn't as bad. So I remember waking up after they did the surgery on me. This is in the morning, and they were like, Okay, so we need to see you tomorrow morning. I was like, Tomorrow morning? What are you talking about? I can't, no, no, no, I gotta go. And they're like, You can't go anywhere, you can't drive. I said, I have to. And they were like, You gotta stay overnight. They were like, Okay, don't drive long. I was like, No, no, no, not far. They're like, one hour most. It was like five. So not the smartest thing, but I made it to the camp. So that video, I would I was still out of it too, and my whole face is swollen, like a baseball. And that's more what I was obsessed with while I was filming it, because I thought it was really funny, you know, because we're talking about Jason who's a little deformed, and I thought I looked deformed, but anyway, so I just drove onto the camp, and and you there's you at the time, again, like nobody had ever gone on it really to try to film, or they were told no. You know, I know people were I read on chat chat board, you know, message boards. Like, they they're absolutely no, the owners do not like. I just drove on and I went into this like office, and I think maybe with one look at me, they're like, Oh man, this this dude. Like, and they were so nice, they were like, Yeah, oh yeah, that movie, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like they were like, Yeah, so they got this, they were like, Yeah, we'll take you around to all locations. They got this kid, he was like 20 from Australia. I think, um, yeah, he was and in a golf cart, took me to all locations. He had never seen the movie, he didn't know what was going on, but he was so cool. And then the owner of the camp, who he's in the video at the end, he came over and he helped me. So I mean some of those locations were very difficult, it looked so different. Um, the lake, a lot of people wrote, Oh, you're in the wrong angle for the lake. I'm like, I'm at the lake. I'm like, the owner was here when it was filmed, he told me where the dock was. Like, you know, it's like, and they knew where the old dock was too. And it's like, well, no, no, it was like 10 feet to your. I'm like, guys, like, first of all, maybe you're right, but the owner told me that I remember getting angry about that. Yeah, but then I I went to the like it was hard to find, like um the um whatchamacallit, where the kids go where they find the dog, they think it's a dog, and the sheriff, what are you kids doing here? That was hard to find. I think I found that location, and then as I left, I was about an hour away, it was getting dark, and I was like, I forgot the stairs, those stairs. Wheelchair goes down, but I was just like out of it. So that's one I would kind of like to maybe redo one day, but there's it's so different. You can you can pretty much see where um you know she drives the VW bug in, she's late for the meeting. Yeah, so the big house is behind you, and then the cabins off would be in it. You can kind of still see where that was. Yeah. But otherwise, it's I mean, they flattened air the land, they took out trees, and apparently the steps are still there, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Wow. So you're gonna have to go back and uh maybe one day.
SPEAKER_00It's not um far, but you know, was it a vibe?
SPEAKER_02Were you feeling the vibe on that one? Or was it you know? Oh no, I left it. Painkill Cloud died after I left.
SPEAKER_00I never thought I would get on that. You know, I was like, wow, I got to see the lake from part two and got to walk around the you know, the old camp. You know, I wish it I wish the house, the main cabin, the big thing was still there. I wish, you know, but yeah, that was uh yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um I obviously I guess it helps when uh you have accommodating hosts, and it's not always the case, right? And um and and and let's I'm gonna jump over one to kind of segue with not accommodating hosts. Final chapter. Not uh
The Final Chapter
SPEAKER_02that's is that's that's still a no-go for a lot of people these days, right?
SPEAKER_00But that's an absolute that's an absolute no-go. Yeah, uh tell us tell us about that.
SPEAKER_03Really?
SPEAKER_00Well, it was the people uh the people who owned it uh for a very long time, recently sold it, I guess about a year ago. And um, I had been in contact with them at least twice. Um they were very um uh just flat out. We do not like horror movies, we we we don't allow that, we want nothing to do with it. And one time I was out there, it's in Tapangre Canyon, California. I drove across the little wooden bridge, and then about to turn left, I you know, the you know that where you would see them jogging, the mother and daughter. That's the road. I recognize it right away. I'm like, oh man, there it is, and then the house is further down. I'm like, and there's giant no trespassing signs, and do not come. And I was just like, I'm not doing this, just to quickly get out and take a picture. Yeah, um, so but funny story, so so then it got sold, and I so many people I know went and pretended to be uh, you know, would be buying. Interested in the house. Oh god, so they got lots of photos and lots of stuff. That was really cool. They started sending me that. I was like, damn it, I'm not out there. So when I was smart, yeah. So when I was back out there, I was like, okay, well, let me uh let me okay. Brian had already been there and a few of my other friends. So Brian and I were talking, I'm like, well, maybe we could do a video with your photos, I'll do the video for everything else. And it was a Sunday night, we were on our way to dinner. I said, let me call I said, let me call the real estate agent. I said, you know what, maybe the real estate agent. And you know, so I called, I got so you know, I because I had the you know the listing. This is a true story. I called and I forget her name. So I introduced myself and there was a long pause. She goes, I watch your channel. And I said, You do?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And she goes, Why haven't you called me before? And I said, What are you talking about? She goes, I was expecting a phone call from you. She goes, I know that you really want to get on the property. I was like, Yes, yes, I so I was like, Yeah, I'm in. She goes, Well, it's sold, they're not gonna let you on. I was like, Oh no, yeah. She's like, You if you would call me a month ago, she goes, I would have loved to have shown you around. She was so sweet about it. And then I said, Well, do you think I should call the new owners? Do you think I should go try to meet them? And she said, So this is for all the people want to go. Said, absolutely no point. Yeah, they have no interest. It was a wedding venue, like they rented it out for they it's been in a lot of movies.
SPEAKER_02That's the house, right? That's the house that's been in a lot of movies.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, uh Schwarzenegger movie, eraser, I think a few other people.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, there's a lot, yeah. See, that that kind of pisses me off, though. Like someone, because obviously that that was disclosed when you're buying this property, right? You have to disclose this kind of information. Why why buy it? And you see the same thing even with the Elm Street house. There's even that famous footage of last year where like the owner was like really hammering on people that were take, like, you know, hanging around the house. And I get it, that's annoying. Don't buy the house. Like, that's the thing. Like, you gotta know that this is gonna happen, whether it's right or whether it's wrong.
SPEAKER_00I the nightmare on Elm Street House. I mean, they put up a bigger fans and gate, but the last time I was at the Nightmare on Elm Street House, uh, I mean, I drive by it when I'm in LA because I go to LA a lot, as you know, for the channel. So I drive by Orange all the time, where it's all I think that's it's on Orange. And um the last time I was there, the owners were sweet as hell. They were so nice. This is just within about a year, a year and a half ago. They were they got out of your car, they had groceries, they had little kids, and they were like, Oh, sorry, sorry, we know you're taking pictures, and they were like, Is it it's cool?
SPEAKER_02They're like, Oh, yeah, I'll help you with the groceries, I'll bring them in for you. Right.
SPEAKER_00Something must have happened to make them, or somebody bought or bought it. Something must have happened because you gotta understand. I I understand where you're coming from, but I also understand for homeowners, people go past boundaries, not just physical boundaries, but you know, they go like respect the property. But there's probably people who walk up to the house, stand up on the in front of the red door or the you know, the famous door, and they've got kids inside, or they you know, they don't want people to sure and in fair fairness to them.
SPEAKER_02I mean, the full footage, the the girl was a little bit um uh I wouldn't say belligerent, but like, you know, was a little bit um aggressive. Right. That's fine. I get it. When they're like that, you you slam the door, you get pissed off. I get it. But like what I'm saying is like, why would you buy a famous house?
SPEAKER_00Well, but I mean, also for I mean, if if you're gonna go and film outside of a house that's right on a main big street, like in Hollywood, where it is, West Hollywood. Be nice, be polite. People are gonna be okay with it because they know it's famous. There's a million famous houses in in Los Angeles, and most people like, yeah, yeah, that's my house. Yeah. You know, when you go to the middle of nowhere, sometimes people are like, Why are you filming like what's going on? Like, what's happening? I got I had a science of the lambs, the house from the not the Buffalo Bill House. The lady on that street was nuts, but uh, because she didn't understand the thing I was doing. But for Friday 13th, but came by the Friday 13th part four house. Another thing I'm like, well, they bought a house, it's very secluded. You can't see it from the road. It's a busy highway kind of like mountain road beside it, you know. So you can't park your car really. And you have to go onto the property and around. I mean, it's a beautiful big property that they that the previous owners had for wedding venues and and commercials and whatever. If somebody movie shoots, imagine having people want it's not a tourist attraction, but imagine having somebody probably every day or every week, hey, can we come see your house? Can we come inside? What? I'd be like, you know, don't buy it if it's a right, well, yeah, but it's that's my point. It's secluded though. Like, I don't know, like it's and also you gotta, I think another I don't know, I see it both ways because it's like these movies were made 40 years ago, so some of the owners probably like, well, how many people could possibly have an interest? They don't know, they don't know. They've said they may maybe it's the real estate agent that says, Oh, by the way, it was in a horror movie that was filmed in 1985. They'd be like, Oh, and how many and where's today? Like, they're not gonna think about it really, like we are, and then and then all of a sudden you have people by the dozens, but most I mean, all those Halloween houses and all that stuff, like in LA, they're you know, the the owners are all cool. We're not talking Halloween. Oh, I know. Oh, I remember.
SPEAKER_02All right, right now. No, I uh I love Halloween.
SPEAKER_00I would I would love to see the 513th part four house. Um, you know, now but now that I've done the video, it's not as pressing, but I would love to see it and go inside. But again, now that I've Brian's pictures who who helped me, Brian from real to real locations, I feel like I've seen it. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know, I feel like I know I feel like I know Brian now after this podcast. We should have brought Brian on. Yeah. Um, anyways, so uh part four. I mean, yeah, there's the house, and then the other one they built, so that one got after production. Um yeah, I guess there's really not a heck of a lot beyond that for Friday 13th, as uh Uncle Pete mentioned. There is the uh hitchhiker, which you found. Yeah, and um there's all the opening scenes and then um everything else.
SPEAKER_00Oh, there's uh there's one of the the the skinny dipping scene is up near Santa Barbara.
SPEAKER_03That's right, yes.
SPEAKER_00That's up near Santa Barbara. We were gonna drive up to that. There's only one thing in the it's a big lake. There's only one thing in the background that's kind of recognizable. Yeah. Um I just didn't feel like driving up to Santa Barbara for that. I was like, you know, I'll put in the picture. Some I used to, I you know, I still am. I I like to get every location. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like to leave out important ones, but sometimes I really bring bring your own rope when you go and reenact that.
SPEAKER_00Uh you know, give the people what they want to see. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Reenact Ted taking the plunge. Hey Ted. That's hilarious in your video. That because that's been an inside thing with me and some of my friends, the Ted, and then you your your video, like the sporadic. That was good.
SPEAKER_00When we were kids, that's my friends and I Ted, Ted, it's in my head forever.
SPEAKER_02For sure, for sure. Okay, let's backtrack to um, in many ways, uh the holy grail uh for uh one. There's there's a couple of holy grails. This is definitely one of them. Friday the 13th
Friday the 13th part 3
SPEAKER_02part three. Um, this is uh accessible, I'm assuming, but with its own inherent dangers.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, yep.
SPEAKER_02How about it with uh Friday the 13th part three? Tell us about that one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm looking for a couple of pictures right now that I screenshot to show you.
SPEAKER_02Um so just to set it up, set it up. Uh Scott uh uh did go to uh the barn and got in there, and everything was uh hunky-dory, but you were you were warned about something, and that something actually came to fruition for sure. Now it wasn't Jason.
SPEAKER_00So I just want to say that it the the location for part three is not accessible to the it's not accessible in case people um getting there was so uh my friend Adam uh had been there and did a video, so I was like, okay, so somebody's been there. So and then a uh a friend, a guy that filled it with Adam got a hold of me and said, I can get you on there. I know you're and I was like, Yes.
SPEAKER_02He was the first one I'd seen do Friday 3.
SPEAKER_00Right, he was trying to work on getting me on, and then I started calling myself and I talked to one of the owners, uh, and it was uh flat no for about two years. Every time I went to LA, I would call them. And but I got the owner's cell phone number, right? Uh so it's a movie studio called Values Ed Movie Ranch. Um so I remember I was uh one I was so they were always uh what was that movie? Oh sorry, that TV show, uh Westworld. Remember Westworld? Yeah, yeah, TV show that was shot there, so they were always there. So that was the reason why they wouldn't let me film, like they wouldn't let me come on property. Oh so they were like, we can't they you know it's shut down for this for Westworld. So you that now so for a good year, it was it was Westworld, Westworld. I was like, fucking Westworld, enough. Like, get off the property. So I gave up on it, but I just called the owner one night. This is true. I called the owner one night, it was a Tuesday night in LA. I was driving somewhere and he's like, he was very like, what? Sorry, who? And he went, Scott. He goes, from Toronto, and I said, Yeah, he goes, He goes, Do you ever give up? No, he goes, dude, he goes, how many years have you been calling me? I said, probably like two, three. And he's like, Man, he goes, I you know, I just I I I don't know what to say. Like, I I like I don't know what to do anymore with you. And I was like, I just want to see it. He goes, I know you do right. There's nothing I can do. I said, Really? I said, uh and then there was a pause. He goes, I can't say no to you anymore. Can you be here by 9 a.m. tomorrow morning? I was like, yes. So I remember being so excited. So that's the owner there. That's me and him by the barn. And where the main so like three from hell, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, they all shot that's a West Mexican town, and every the the ending of Three from Hell, you know, the Rob's armor when that's shot together. But where you have to go to get to the barn is another two miles at least through the through the mountains, Santa Clarina.
SPEAKER_03Oh wow.
SPEAKER_00So it's far from it's on a studio lot, like a you know, uh an old studio lot in Santa Clara. But it's not when you go right in where all the buildings are, it's far. And I was like, wow. Like we so I I followed him in my car and I was like, holy shit. But as soon as I came around the corner, I saw that barn. Now that barn to see in person, for me, I it was but that was my holy grail because I was petrified from that movie as a kid. So I got to see it. So he's telling me, he's like, okay, so I gotta go do some work in the office. There was nobody else there, nobody else on the studio at all. And he goes, I'm gonna go do some work. He goes, he showed me, he said, so there's where the house was, there's where the lake was, it's dried up, there's the barn, da da da. I'll be back. What do you need? Like half hour, 45 minutes, hour. I said, well, 45 minutes an hour. He goes, No problem. He goes, and don't worry. Uh I fed the bobcat last night. He should be, he shouldn't come around. You should be all right. Be careful of the snakes. All right, so I said, sorry. Yeah, back up. I said, What about the bobcat? And he goes, Oh man, was it a bobcat or mountain lion? Now I'm for you. Mountain mountain lion. I think you said mountain lion. Yeah, I'm I'm sorry. There was a I watched a TV show last night where they're talking about Bobcat, so that was my mountain line. And the mountain lion's fed last year. I said, What do you? I said, there's a mountain lion? He goes, There's lots. He goes, but there's a particular one that won't leave the barn. Um I said, Oh. He goes, he goes, but I hung some meat up for it last night, and he should be fine. And I was like, where did you hang the meat up? And he goes, just outside. You'll be okay, don't worry. If he ate, he won't come back. And I said, What about the snakes? He goes, just be careful when you open the barn doors. He goes, There's rattlesnakes all over. And I said, What? Like, come on. Like, just open the doors, stand back, let them scatter, you'll be fine. I live in Toronto. I don't, this isn't my area of expertise, Danny. The guy's so cool. He's so nice. And he's like, but he didn't think there was any any problem. He leaves, and within 30 seconds, I'm standing, I'm thinking about how I'm gonna film it. I'm going to, you know, where the guy's laying in the road with the eye. I'm like thinking, okay, that's where I gotta start. So I'm getting, I'm looking up, I'm looking at the trees. I'm like, okay, that's where it is. Because he told me where it was. And there it was. There's the fucking mountain lion. And I'm like, this is a god, you got it. Are you kidding me?
SPEAKER_02Right off the line.
SPEAKER_00I think it's on video. I I can't remember how much I filmed. I was panicking, obviously, because it was a mountain lion. And he was stalking me. And he was walking towards me. I got in my car. I sat there. I was like, there's nothing I can do. Like, what am I gonna do? Um, so I was like, should I call Danny? I'm like, no, you know what? I'll scare this mountain lion away. So I started driving towards him. He starts walking toward me. I'm like, oh no, he's not scared. He wants to play chicken, and he's going to win. And so, but I got close and I honked a couple of times, you know. And I'm an animal lover, so I'm not trying to run him over. I'm just trying to, you know, go up a little bit. And he ran up into the mounds at one point, and I got a couple of his uh him growling at me. You can hear it. And then I think near the end of the video, you can hear him growling again in the background because I started panicking again. I was like, there's and in the barn, I I walked, I think I went up top, like where where the biker was killed, you know, where a lot of stuff takes place. I think I went up, and I was like, This is fun, but also like not. Not, yeah, that's not relaxing at all. And I'm in the middle of nowhere.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So Danny came back and he was so chill and cool. We actually really hit it off, and um he showed me exactly he's like, Oh, so he showed me where the dock was, where the dock was still there. So he showed me the angles and said, So if you look here, the house would have been right here. I was like, Oh, okay, I got it now. I said, Oh, I See, because I wasn't sure. And he wanted to, he was talking about different things they were gonna do with the property. And he goes, So if we stand right here, he goes, This is where Jason stood with the with the dart gun. He goes, he stood right here on this plane.
SPEAKER_02Oh, very cool. And uh he knew his stuff, that's good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I said, Oh my god, so cool. And he looks at me and he goes, You want this plank? And I was like, What? Yeah, so he gave it to me. So we ripped it up, he gave it to me. So it's huge, right? It's huge. Yeah, it's killer. And I've got this giant plank. I'm flying home to Toronto in four days. I then I didn't think about it. No, I was flying. Sorry, I was going, this is 2021, so I was going to Phoenix. Then so I went to the anyways, end the story. Danny and I walked around, we filmed more. I went to my friend Pat's house in uh in the in the valley, like just north of Burbank, and uh I said, dude, can you help me with this? Like, what am I gonna do? Turns out his wife, who's a good friend of mine now, she's a huge horror fan, so he's like, Oh, she would kill for part of that. So we cut off part of it, we snapped it in half into three parts. I gave them a huge part. I took two parts, but they still were huge, but they so I had to go to a Home Depot in Phoenix to get it to get it, because I was driving back to Phoenix, right? That's what I forgot. So to get it on the plane, so I had to go to this Home Depot, and I'm not handy. This guy comes up to me, I'm like, Do you have the saw? And how and he's like, Yeah, yeah, yeah. They took me to the back. I'm like, Oh wow. He's like, Yeah, you put the board here. He knew I knew nothing. I'm like, okay, cool. So I'm looking at him, he's looking at me, and I'm like, Yeah, I just need it in half. He goes, There's the saw. And I said, Well, shouldn't take too long for someone to do it. He's like, You're gonna do it. I'm like, when does this end? So I unfortunately I don't have I don't have them here with me. They're upstairs in the attic, packed away. That's been a while, but I do have the Cougar's head. No, I this is from a different movie. This is from Halloween 2018. This is from the house. So I want to show you that. That's all my Friday 13th uh souvenirs, cyber masks are packed away because 20 anything from 2021, 2022 is packed away. But yeah, I still have the plank. But that was awesome.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, sound sounds awesome, but sounds a little bit stressful. Like, you know, if you were able to take in part two, didn't sound like you were able to take in part three. It's not like you have to shoot and get out of there.
SPEAKER_00I well no, because I actually ended up taking my time. Like Danny, because Danny came back because I was there for so long.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, being there alone is different, though, right? Like, I mean, I was right.
SPEAKER_00So I wasn't so once he was there, we walked. Oh man, we took I took tons of pictures and stood walking with her. And like I said, he was like so like um there's something that we both liked about each other, you know. He's just his old cool mountain dude, and I'm you know, he was really chilled, and then I just spoke to him, I just spoke to him recently, and uh you know, so I got to I got to retape my time. He's like, Do you want to see I found the uh outhouse, you know, where the hippies go and weed. He's like, I don't think that's here anymore. And I'm like, Oh, that's too bad. He goes, Oh, wait a minute. He goes, That old outhouse. He was like, Oh, of course, of course. So we drove around this corner or walked around this corner, I can't remember. He's like, That's it, isn't it? I'm like, That's it, of course it is. And then we saw the cabin from Black Sheep, you know, the Tom, the Chris Fardy, yeah, yeah. And then went to the Mexican town and spent another two hours walking around that.
SPEAKER_02Very cool. All right, so part five. Part five isn't as aesthetically, you know, just pleasing as some of the earlier ones or anything like that. I had some some fun things, but any any kind of stories for
A New Beginning
SPEAKER_02part five, or should we uh part five?
SPEAKER_00I was just I did it with my friend Pat, the one who helped me with the board at first. I was like, we're gonna do part five. So we just made we had a lot of fun with it. We went to where the trailer park was. That's in Canyon, I think, or it's in Beverly Hills, believe it or not. Uh it's at the top, it's up near Mulhulland Drive.
SPEAKER_02That I wouldn't have believed. Like I when watching your video and then thinking that part five was shot in Beverly Hills.
SPEAKER_00You walk literally, you walk out. If you walk out of the entrance to where you would drive in, make it a left. There's Charlton Heston's house. Yeah, like it's there's big giant mansions. Right.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Okay, so the there's uh so first of all, how do you find out part five is you know, shot there in those locations, and how do you line that up? And was that tricky shooting in Beverly Hills? Because I know Beverly Hills is a very, you know, just driving through there sometimes is stressful for people who don't belong.
SPEAKER_00Uh Beverly Hills actually for me is but is what the easiest place to film. I I wish everything was filmed or everything happened in Beverly Hills because the streets are so wide. And okay. I mean, Mulholland, there's the street that goes across the top, is hard to park on unless your park is overlooked. But otherwise, all the streets, like you know, um all where all the celebrity houses are.
SPEAKER_02You don't run into any issues?
SPEAKER_00Not at all. Like no park, you park anywhere on the street, and then that's a little uh park where part five was. That's a and same with um part four. That's a little park, right? Nearby where the lake is in part four. Yeah, you know, where they I showed that like where she gets killed in the raft. That's part four. That's Franklin Canyon. So the uh but the Beverly Hills went from part five, very easy to film. We matched up, one of the poles is still there, it was very easy. Yeah, and then uh we went and I filmed outside of where the house is, still standing, you know, the group home. You know, I didn't even bother asking. The big big gate, it's uh it's like a farm. Yeah, and uh just like you know what? I can show I see it. There's the barn in the background. Yeah, I I was like, I know what there's people there's people working, maybe I could get on, but I was just part five is like hmm, and then we went all the way to you know where the the guy with the waitress. Yes, yes, that's uh the rock store. So that's over that's not too far from the part four house. It's called the rock store, and the owner couldn't have been cooler, and I love it there. So a lot of things wonder years is filmed, a lot of things have been filmed there, and he let me go walk all around, match up all the shots in there, outside, inside. So then then that's a wrap on part five, right? You know, okay.
SPEAKER_02So then, okay, Uncle Pete, I'll let you take it with part six.
SPEAKER_01Part six
Jason Lives
SPEAKER_01is his favorite, so uh it's actually just like one, like one of similar locations, like we already talked about the graveyard earlier, um, where Tommy makes the phone call by the phone booth. He's like, hey, I'm outside Carloffs. Was that a set? Was that an actual location?
SPEAKER_00Oh, dude. You oh, have you seen you? Did you see my Scott's getting excited?
SPEAKER_01I haven't I haven't seen that one on uh oh.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's you got Scott excited. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, let me see here.
SPEAKER_00So Karloff's this is this is 2024, so this is just two years ago. See it in the background?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, oh wow, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So that that is one of my favorite movie locations, and actually one of my favorite places to go to.
SPEAKER_02I'm shocked. Okay, so wait, before you go on, I'm shocked when you when you look when you think of camps and stuff like that, and you think, okay, they shot in New Jersey, they shot in Connecticut. The location of part six is a little bit like, what, really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Tell us about it. Uh well, I mean, they they've got the I think maybe at that time, possibly, Georgia was becoming more of a filming uh option for you know, locate for it has to be on location. Like you, it's hard to film in it's hard to film Friday the 13th movies in LA, I think, because you gotta you gotta make sure those mountains and those palm trees are out of every shot. Right. And back in the 80s, they're not scrubbing each out CGI, right? So I so they got three, four, or five done out there, but you know, very careful with the angles. Very careful with the angles. And um part six, you know, Covington where they did the police station and all that, you know, Covington's one of my favorite little towns. And I was just there recently and I w I was taking pictures again of the stupid police station and all that stuff. But I found, you know, when you know, my friend Paul, who has a page called Then and Now Movie Location, he does not get enough credit. He's he's an OG, he's been doing this for a long time. And a lot of people use his his hard work, but don't cite his work. You know what I mean? And I think maybe Do you have a channel or no? It's a web page. And literally I will call him or text him and say, Hey, do you know where like the most obscure location from the most obscure movie? He'll be like, he'll either know it right away, he'll text me back right away and go, Oh, I said it uh he'd say, Oh, give me a minute. And I don't know what I don't know what he does. I don't want to know what kind of sorcery is going on.
SPEAKER_02Give this guy a shout-out.
SPEAKER_00What like call from then and now I'm gonna see him hopefully in about three and a half weeks. So then and now.com. Then and now, yeah, I can send it to you, yeah. No, I just yeah, just for people watching, like you know, if uh if he's awesome. You can yeah, he's so he I don't I don't remember if he helped me with part six, whatever, but because I was about to say I found, I found. I didn't uh the like the road they drive down, you know, where they're speeding in the car and the cops are changing. I went to all those roads and I matched I matched those up, and then the you know, the the getting to the camp was ridiculous, like absolute chaos. But for me, oh my god, it was I went the first year I went, it was 2017 because I was like, okay, and it's Camp Camp Morgan, right? Something like that. Camp Daniel Morgan. Daniel Morgan. So I get there and I got I that's when I got my car. I just got a brand new car, right? Like super, like everything and all my luggage is inside. And I pull up to the camp, I'm like, and the gate's locked, obviously. And I'm like, well, the gates locked, but the road is like just walk past the gate. And I was sitting there, I'm like, there's no way I can leave my car in the middle of this small, like weird area. Brand new car full of my luggage, and I don't, and the walk is far. So I was like, oh fuck that, not gonna do it. So then I guess a year later, whenever I did it, um I called and I asked if I could get onto the property, and I spoke to it's a I'm not gonna get in the whole story. It's very long so the the guy the gentleman was very confused, and I made it even more confusing. He didn't know what I was asking, but I can't remember the name I had. I think I may have told the story on the video, but I got the name. I went the next day, I went to the office, and I'm like, hi, I'm here to go to visit Camp David Morgan, or yeah, I think it's whatever camp crystal lake, yeah. And they're like, What do you mean? Like, that's it's that's uh it's an army camp, right? And it's locked. And I was like, Oh, I was like, Oh, but some blank so-and-so told me, and the and the older gentleman behind the counter is like, who? and I forgot the name, he didn't know what I was saying. I I think and I'm like, I think that's the guy I was talking to yesterday. This is now confused. He goes in the back, he's like, I this guy wants the key to the camp. His lady comes out, she goes, What do you want the key for? I was like, for the gate. And then they're like, Oh, okay, uh, well, it's and then they're talking to each other, and she goes, Who are you with? I said, Myself. Like, and I and then she goes, Okay. Then they came out, and then she goes, Just bring the key back when you're done. And I was like, Okay. I was like, What just happened?
SPEAKER_02Like, it all worked, it all worked out.
SPEAKER_00It all worked out, went to the camp, did my whole video, brought it back, and now everybody's gone, right? Now they're I think I know lots of my friends that are gone. So now I think they're just giving the key out to anybody. Maybe it's open.
SPEAKER_02But it's well, no, I one thing they do stuff there. They do stuff there now, right? So I I think with uh with the success of uh Crystal Lake tours there in uh part one, now I think there's screenings in part six's camp and stuff like that. So they've they yeah, they've jumped on the I don't know how uh consistent they're gonna be, but I do know that they've done some screenings there and they've invited some of the stars of the of Friday 13th. And maybe we need to record a show there. I don't know. We'll see what happens. We'll see what happens.
SPEAKER_00It's cool. I mean, it's not too far from I mean it's an hour from Atlanta, maybe 45 minutes. It's not far. And it's very um it's very, very cool when you get onto the camp property because it all matches up still, all the buildings are still there. That's you know, that's what you want.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what you want. So watch this video. If you're uh if you're gonna watch a Scott video, definitely watch this one because it it's pretty unbelievable that you just literally have a key to the camp and you have the camp to yourself on a on a nice day. Right.
SPEAKER_00You know, it's I mean some on the property already, I guess, to take photos, but nobody I'm not saying like no, I was the first, but um, you know, like I never say that, but yeah, I don't think anybody ever really tried. And I was just like, well, you know, I'm gonna I want to see it, so I made sure I did it and walked around. I mean, I just remember that day. I was like, I can't believe I'm here after the year before when I was at the gate, not not wanting to risk leaving my car and trespassing. Yeah, but I did, but there again, I was just let's walk along the road. But anyway, so I got on legally and um it was just wild walking around, and then everything looks the same, and then I got scared. I'm not gonna lie. Like it's you're I was in the middle of nowhere, it was a nice summer day, but it looks exactly like the camp, and I'm going in. They gave me the and I had the keys to the to the cabin, some of them, right? So I got in some of them, and I'm just like, oh man, this is this is not like I feel like Jason's gonna come kill me. That's amazing.
SPEAKER_01See, I was gonna ask that question of all the locations you've been to. Did you ever pick up like a spooky vibe? Because we all love horror movies, we all know it's fake, but did you ever pick up like a spooky vibe?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, part six, uh part six, uh definitely. Uh probably only part six, really, excite for the mountain lion of part three, but spooky vibe. Yeah, being being being alone at the camp was weird because it was just like it looks exactly like the movie. You're just like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_02All right. So I mean, uh, Uncle Pete, if you have another question about part six before we move on to part seven.
SPEAKER_01No, well, but the was it all in the same like the lake actually, or was it like different so locations? Because I love when you know Tommy's in the lake calling Jason the P word coming on. I just I would like I would almost want to recreate that myself, take a little canoe out on the lake to do that. Right.
SPEAKER_00So that's I went right down to the lake front. You're gonna match it up. You can see, I think there, I mean there maybe even be a dock there. I can't remember if it's the same one. I it it it's I'd have to watch my video again to or watch some footage because there's so many docks in every movie. Like there's a dock in every movie. So I get confused sometimes thinking back, I'm like, did was the dock there for that? But I can tell you, um that lake in uh in August, I guess I would have been there, July or August, it would have been August probably of 2018-2019. Uh you're not going in that lake unless you're insane because it's Georgia and it's a lake, and there are alligators. I mean, it's just that's it. You know what I mean? It's you're not going in there to recreate it because you're not coming out. Because a lot of those, you know.
SPEAKER_02I don't okay, so the the that's what I don't also, you know, I don't get it. Like I know that they filmed a lot of the like pickups and stuff like that in a pool, um, you know, for that movie, but like uh how are you shooting that? Like CJ Graham is like walking in that lake and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00Like, how do you as an actor sign off on that one? Well, uh that leads to part seven because I know I knew kind of because of my experience filming part seven with alligators there. I figured out what was going on, kind of how they did it. Not figured out, but so part six, yeah. Like, I mean, the you can see your come on, come on, Maggot Head, come on. Like I saw exactly. I would love to do that too. I would love to, and I probably would if I was in a canoe, stand there. You know, if I had friends with me, I go out there and whatever. Love to do that, but you know, just stand there because you can match it up perfectly.
SPEAKER_02Everything in the that's tempting, right? It's like we're in Canada, in Canada, our likes are just like, you know, uh three-pound basses, right? That's the buttons.
SPEAKER_01Where are you from? Oh, I live in uh Marietta, halfway between LA and San Diego, California.
SPEAKER_00Oh, for real. Oh, okay, cool. So yeah, you're close to a lot of locations.
SPEAKER_01Yep. Yeah, my buddy Josh, who runs another channel, he goes up to the all the Halloween houses because he lives up in uh like uh bur around Burbank, so everything is over there. Oh, very cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_02All right, so part seven. Uh again, I know so
The New Blood
SPEAKER_02for those of you who haven't seen his video on part seven. Part seven is uh one of those where you you kind of go, it's almost ceremonial, you'll go there because it was part seven, but it's a lot of it is not really in existence anymore.
SPEAKER_00Right. It's uh so part seven's uh uh just outside of uh Mobile, Alabama, about 40 minutes maybe from Mobile. Mobile, Alabama, Alabama, up to uh just west of it. Uh got there at night, I went the next morning really early. And you know, you go down that road, and there it is, you know, where Jason gets electrocuted by what's her name? What's her name? Tina. Tina. Tina. And um go around the corner, there it is, where the two houses would have been. They built them for the movie, you know, and um uh I put on the mask, I believe, one of my masks, and just kind of did all that with the mask on, I think. Yeah, and then I remember the only I remember two things, but so a guy came along with his dog and he was talking to me because he was going fishing, and I was like, What's uh what's the alligator? What's the gator sitch down there? And uh he's like, Oh, it's it's hardcore, lots of gators, and his dog jumps into the water. Um what I'm like your dog's in the water. He's like, they're not gonna bother him, he won't bother them, they don't bother him. I'm like, okay, this is here we are. So I film all that. So then I'm trying to find um, I forget, I went to this park, not now it's a big I forget, I'd have to go again, I'd have to watch the video again. And I'm driving around, I forget what I was looking for. Just before I was looking for the ambulance, because the ambulance is still out there. I was looking for something, and then there's this group of kids, and they went like like Russian dolls, like that size. Yeah, they all have mullets, and they were just and they're walking, they're like with sticks in the little ravine side park. So I'm slowing down, and I just give them a wave, and they're like, Hey! I'm like, I so I stop and they're you know, they all come up to my car and they start talking to me. And I get out, I'm talking to them. They're all like, I guess like eight to like 14 or something, whatever. And they're all cousins. And I'm talking, they don't know what the hell was going on on the top of the movie. Then their grandmother comes along. They're like, so she starts talking, and the grandmother wasn't that old, but she's so she's talking the sweetest family in the world. And they're like, We're going swimming, we're going swimming later. You want to come? And I was like, Nope. I'm good. And I'm sitting around, I'm like, I'm like, what are you where do they go swimming? She goes, Over in the creek, just not too far. I'm like, Really? And she's like, Yeah, she goes, she goes, Come along. My boyfriend's gonna come meet us. They were this, I'm telling you, this family, I love them. I got I got a picture with them too. Um so we go, and I'm like, what did these You went? You went with them? Yeah, yeah. I followed them in my car with the grandmother and all that. And you know, we were talking and and I was just hanging out with, and the kids were running around. I forget what they were throwing and stuff. There's uh really sweet. So this is what I found out. So I was like, one of the kids dipped their foot in the water, I guess. They were like oh, it's too cold today. I said, Your kids go swimming in this creek and this lake? Because it's all connected, and they're like, all the time. I said, Yeah, because I see boats out there. I said, Aren't there alligators in here? And she's like, Lots. I said, What what are you I said so what how does this happen? She goes, they don't bother you. And I was like, but until they do. Yeah, until they do it. She's like, no, it it works until it doesn't. Right, but she's but but when you think about it, have you ever heard have you heard of an alligator killing a kid in outside of Mobile, Alabama?
SPEAKER_02No, and all I'm sure, I'm sure they wouldn't want to advertise that.
SPEAKER_00No, but I mean what I'm saying is like these kids and their families go that's crazy. So what they did for part seven, I know they had an alligator wrangler on set who went under the water and made sure that there was no alligators within the vicinity of the actors and stood and stayed in the water to guard against alligators. I guess the alligators, it's true. I mean, I'm petrified of them, but I love them. But I I just so I just found out uh that and then I was trying to find the so I you know I kept in touch. I I the kids are in my video. I think yeah, I've seen that. Right. So they're in my video. So I kept in touch with the grandmother and one of the kids for like a little while and said, and I made sure with the parents afterwards, like, is it cool that your kids are gonna be in this video? You know, da da da. And they're like, Oh, they're so excited. They were they were cloud nine to be in the video. Okay. I haven't heard I you know I hope they're doing well. There's a sweet family. And then I went to find the the ambulance because I was like, I know where it is. I went to a swap meet in this tiny town to find out, and I I don't know if that's in the video. And they're like, Oh, you gotta call da da da da da Henry, some you know, weird name. Like this is crazy. And when I left the town about four days later, I got a call from somebody who had the ambulance on their property. And they come.
SPEAKER_02And why is that? Why is it explain to people why an ambulance would be still be around 30, 40 years later.
SPEAKER_00There's only one ambulance. And it's, I mean, you talk about Mobile Mobile, Alabama is a city, but those towns in in lower Alabama, they're small, you know. As you know, Jason, I go to Alabama a lot now because my friends live there. I love Alabama, but the towns are tiny. Aside from Mobile, Montgomery, Selma, Birmingham, Huntsville. The towns in Alabama are small. So there's one that's the real fire truck from that town. So regardless of the fact that it was in part seven, they kept part of their history, right? And it got passed around, and then somebody had it on their property, and somebody called me and said, Yeah, we got it there. You want to come take a look? And I was like, I knew, and I said to them, I said, I knew it was on your property because I got it too or whatever. And I didn't, and I remember being outside the house and looking down the long driveway. I'm like, it's gotta be back there, it's gotta be back there. And because that's what I heard, or some lady had told me at the swap meet, anyways. So that's something that's still kind of on my list. I'm like, you know, yeah, if I go uh mobile is not too far from where uh I stay in Alabama when I go, but you know, I'd like to go back and see it.
SPEAKER_02Awesome stuff. I mean, listen, there's there's a lot of uh uh uh locations that you can view on Scott's page, and it's not just Friday the 13th, but again, that's why we have them on here. Um uh just a couple of general questions uh from me. Basically, um I guess which one was your favorite? To visit. To visit.
SPEAKER_00Probably probably part three, because it was very um, it took me so long to work it out. Um part two is seems like a lifetime ago. You know what I mean? Like anything pre-pandemic that I filmed, yeah, seems like you know, for all of us, that 2020 seemed like kind of like a boom, and then everything else. Everything before 2020, you know, there's so it's yeah. Uh but part three, part four even finally just saying, okay, I'm not getting on the property, but I'm still gonna get the opening shots and the the the parts, the parts of the lake, and the other thing I did for it, um down near the house where the I saw the mailbox in the background with the van with the van's driving along. Oh yeah, because part and part three, yeah, part three. I mean, uh, you know, uh Vera's house from the beginning. Yeah, you know, that went there, and that's really in the middle. I mean, it's a busy it's in whatever city it's in, but I was like, this is gonna take forever. But then the the you know, where the Jason gets uh he's walking with the clothes line in the background. Yeah, that's pretty cool. That's amazing. Like I could go there every day and be happy. The building's gone, but you can still see the foundation and where the kids roll by, like, what's going down? You know, after Jason kills them, and then uh the little whatever the grocery store is called, you know, where they the drive over the bikers.
SPEAKER_02Your rubber?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, um, that is still there. Spud Valley Road or Spud Something. It's up, you know, it's just about an hour north of the ball.
SPEAKER_02So part three, part three is your is probably my favorite, you know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, part part of my favorite. Oh, 2009, also as well, because that was ridiculous. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was really good too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Uh Uncle Pete, you have a question for yeah, just out of all the ones you've ever visited, not even just Friday the 13th, every space you ever visited for your channel, any place you would not want to go back just because like another a creepy vibe, like something like your spidey senses started tingling, like you just wouldn't want to go back there for whatever reason.
SPEAKER_00Uh part eight, Jason Takes Manhattan, where where the
Jason Takes Manhattan
SPEAKER_00boat was docked, you know, at the beginning. Uh it wasn't creepy really, but it was, you know, it's it's it's a good 45 minutes to an hour straight north of Vancouver on the coast, and uh it was pouring rain. It was exactly like it looks in the movie. Like I remember when that movie came out, I looked at it and I was like, that's Canada. Like, what the hell? Like it looks so like I know you could just tell, you know, the the Canadian coast above Vancouver is very it's like Seattle, very rainy and gray. It didn't have the same look as the other Friday 13th. So I didn't enjoy filming that, but I did like the all the locations from when he gets to Manhattan, that's all in Vancouver, just off of Hastings. If you know Hastings, you're familiar with that street, not a safe street at all. You can't walk down Hastings during the day, let alone the night. Not a chance. It's a very, very dangerous street in Vancouver. Um but all of it was filmed in the alleyway. They did see all but what they did was they just kept turning the camera this way, that way, this way, that way. Double up, go further down.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00By the way, that alley is called, as one of the locals said, Murder alley. And that's the real name of it. It's a very dangerous area. Um, and you can see in my video, somebody threw something at me. You know, but whatever. But going into the diner, you know, where Jason comes in, I believe in part eight, you know, he's standing in the doorway. That was really cool being in there, seeing that. But then you go right out back, and that alleyway is just doubled for so many shots. And then, you know, where he punches the guy's head off. Yeah, you look up, and that's how they did that. Where the car where the car crashes, you turn around. Oh, they just shot it like that.
SPEAKER_01That's so cool.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they didn't they they didn't leave like uh one one alleyway pretty much is the entire New York City until they use the Times Square stuff.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's pretty fascinating. That's a that's a cool story. I didn't know that. Um so we're learning on this podcast.
SPEAKER_00That was where Jason versus Freddie versus Jason. I don't have uh was filmed as well. I bet I don't have to be honest, because I d I did so many on that. That was December of 2020, November 2020. I don't have as great of a memory of those because I did so many movies at once while I was out there. I spent about a month. And Jason, Freddie vs. Jason, I went to the in the asylum where the kids were. I think I went to the high school, and then the lake, which is the same lake from Hot Rod, same lake from some other movie. And uh so I showed where it was filmed where he comes out uh carrying Freddy's head, you know, you can match up a few of the fight scenes, the trees are all behind you, you know, where they're um the girl from Destiny's Child, she's fighting Jason. Rolling. You know, that was it's all right there, but it doesn't, it just looks like a forest. But the lake, you can tell if you look at my video, you see the mountain, you know.
SPEAKER_02Well, this is what he does, everybody. He goes places and he documents it. And again, it's not always Fridays, it's uh it's everything. He's a pop culture guru at this point. He's uh he's got an amazing channel with a lot of interesting stuff on it, so you're gonna check it out. What's next for you?
SPEAKER_00Uh oh, I should also say that uh like something like for part uh for 2009, uh, those locations, you know, some of them are a private home, but like the camp is a private camp. Uh I asked, they said no. I kept asking. Uh, you know, and the guy said, Okay, come back tomorrow morning, you know. And I kept asking what I'm trying to say is in a nice way. Um, you can't just don't go to these places and think you can get on right away, but go to these places and ask. And ask. You never know. Like uh just because they're they're private, doesn't mean that you they're not gonna let you on. Always make sure you get permission, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know. Well, you've given a lot of good tips for uh YouTubers that you know might want to do this kind of thing.
SPEAKER_00Be relentless, but be polite and also don't take no for an answer, but then to you know, kind of say, Well, come on, you know, or whatever you can do, and just you know, hopefully they're gonna let you. Uh we spent and then if you're if it's filmed somewhere that's public property, like the the that um Karloff's that place is right across from somebody's house. And they claim I I uh the last time I was there, they were like staring at us, like, what do you got? I was there with a group of people, and they were like, Yeah, what are you guys doing? What are you guys doing? We just were taking photos and joking around and talking like they own it. And I was like, I don't think they own it. Like we're we're cool, but I I've been there a few times in the middle of the night. It's still standing there in the middle of nowhere. That you know, which is really cool.
SPEAKER_02That that is pretty cool. That is pretty cool. So, what's next for you?
SPEAKER_00Uh, I leave for Los Angeles in a couple of weeks, and uh be back out there for uh I've got uh some events I'm doing and then filming locations, and I've got a huge list of things I'm filming, and then I think from there I go to Arizona, then to Alabama, all in one trip. That's awesome. Back home to Toronto. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_01Do you have a holy grail? Like you unlimited budget, someone just says, here's a golden credit card, unlimited budget. What's your holy grail location?
SPEAKER_00Uh you're gonna laugh, but I would I I would if I I would pay somebody to take me to every survivor filming location. What's my survivor thing? I don't know if you can see it. Where is it? There okay, like the survivor band in Fiji, because I I I I mean it's very expensive Fiji, but I I want somebody to show me this is where this uh season was filmed, this is where the tribal council was filmed. I don't want to go on walk go out and walk around each island and be like, well, maybe it was because they do have to do it, but I want an exact tour. Something like that. And then I mean, there's uh for other movies, I can't really think of any, but you know you've done so many. Yeah, I mean I can't think of oh I you know, I like to go to um uh The Hills Have Eyes, Star Wars, the original now. I've done a lot of the original Star Wars, which is in Death Valley, but all the ones in Tunisia, I would love to go there and see Luke's Homestead and all that stuff. You know, Hills Have Eyes is somewhere down there too, like Morocco, not far from there. The remake, Hills Have Eyes. Uh House of Wax, which I know that you know, the the Paris Hilton one, I love that movie. But that is in I think that's out there too. And then there's another horror movie that was just filmed recently that I really liked in New Zealand, and I was like, man, that'd be cool, but I'm not flying to New Zealand to do that.
SPEAKER_02That was all Lord of the Rings there. Um honestly, Scott, thanks for uh taking the time and uh and being a Friday fan. Maybe uh we can just have you on the show just to chat uh a couple times. So we'll look forward to seeing Scott around uh of the Crazy Ralph podcast. But uh for today, thank you so much. Great insight. And uh yeah, I have a feeling we'll uh we'll be chatting again because there's probably some more stories that we didn't even get to. And uh we'll think about them after we hang up. But uh thanks, buddy. Whatever, man. All right, so once again, uh Scott on tape. You could check him out on YouTube. Uh massive following, great guys, you uh as you can see, and uh great stories, and there's plenty more in that gas tank, so we'll probably uh have them on, like I said earlier, uh again, so we could look forward to that. Uh here's sorry, bringing it up.
SPEAKER_01No, I totally should be a lot of fun. I learned a lot. Hopefully, you guys watching or listening, you learned a lot, some cool stories about you know some of our favorite films in the Friday the 13th franchise.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And how to and again for YouTubers that are interested in doing these things, how to some tips. He shared some tips. Very generous guy. Um, so here's a segment. It's uh it's called
SEGMENT 2 - Love em, Leave em
SPEAKER_02Love Em or Hate Hem. What do we call it? I don't even remember what I called this segment. Uh but uh okay, let this is how prepared I am. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Let's see. I I think I got it here. Uh no, I don't. But uh this is a segment where we're gonna we're actually gonna take two characters from a random. This is gonna be it could be anything, it could be scenes, it could be in a different episode, it'll be different scenes. This one just happens to be characters. We're taking two characters from Friday the 13th that we love and two characters from Friday the 13th, part two, sorry, that we hate. Now we are gonna take out Jason and uh and uh and Ginny because you know, I mean low-hanging fruit. But uh let's let's start off with Uncle Pete. You want to start off with a love or a hate?
SPEAKER_01I want to start out with the love, and I'm gonna start out with one of my favorites in the entire franchise is Mark. I because hey, you never see somebody in a wheelchair or with a handicapped disability in a horror movie. You don't see that enough just to see this gentleman in a wheelchair, and even his character, he was determined after a motorcycle accident, he was determined to walk again. He was telling that girl. And uh he was just a cool character. I liked it because you don't see that too often, and he it's probably number one or two favorite kills in the entire franchise. He has the machete to the face, slot him down, his screen grows white, and just he seemed like a really fun guy, Mark. So yeah, definitely a character I love in part two.
SPEAKER_02That's a great one, and uh, I can't say that he wasn't on my list. Uh just yeah, pretty unique, uh unique addition to a character, right? Just have him in a wheelchair. It's uh um and and it's also like I mean, there is like no sympathy thrown through him through Jason on that too, so it kind of makes it even stand out more. I'm gonna go with one that I love, and I'm gonna go with Terry, who I uh for obvious reasons, but if if if any lady has, you know, the desire to in the middle of the night take off all her clothes and go for a swim in a lake, which I I honestly in all the the women I have met in my life, uh I've never met one that would love to do that. But uh Terry, you get you get some love for me because of that that scene. I wish that there was a little bit more Terry in this uh in this film. I think that she she deserved better. Um she does and she deserved a better kill, I think. That that was a kind of a little bit of a cheesy kill that turned to the you know Z Z top guitar kind of thing, but uh Terry. So let's go to uh a hate.
SPEAKER_01And you know what? This ties in perfectly to my pick. Because the character I hate is Scott. He's this you know, self, you know, this pretentious, too cool for school type guy. He's gotta sit on the table with his leg up, unbutton his shirt, just too thinks he's like Enrico Suave. He's he's an asshole to Terry, taking her clothes, picking on her, and stuff like that. He's just he's a kind of a douchebag. And I was like, I wish his kill would have been more vicious because he's just a douchebaggy character and never liked him, never not once.
SPEAKER_02Alright. Well, I I I kind of disagree with you. I kind of liked Scott. I thought he had that like swamp smor smirk. He he was up to no good. And I can't say that, you know, if I was at that camp, if I wouldn't be doing what Scott was doing. I don't know about you know, using the slingshot, but um uh I'm gonna go I'm gonna be controversial here with my hit my hate. Um Alice. And the reason why I kind of um and I don't hate the character of Alice in part one, but I don't I don't love uh that opening scene in Friday the 13th, part two. I I kind of like how it sets it up, like you know, for part two and like you know, unfinished business and revenge. I get it. I just feel like that scene doesn't really um uh it doesn't fit the aesthetic of the rest of the movie. And so and I I also think it kind of drags on a little too long. I know they were going for some suspense, but it really looked like there was some kill killing some time, you know, and uh yeah, so I just didn't buy it in this one. So Alice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because I I rewatched part two this morning and I was remembering, I was like, is it still it's like 12 minutes and Jason hasn't even shown up to kill her yet? I was like, Yeah, because it's like almost the entire phone conversation, so I I wouldn't even say that's controversial.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Okay, so thanks for the first time.
SPEAKER_01My uh other one that I love is Ted, because I want to go drinking with Ted. He's skeptical. He was even saying at the bar, he's like, Yeah, all this because some girl fell out of a canoe and panicked, and like and he just wanted to stay drinking at the bar. He wasn't being a creep, he was trying to flirt with the waitress and stuff like that. He just he wasn't an obnoxious drunk, he seems like a fun drunk. Like, we're gonna if we get drunk with Ted, man, we're gonna have a lot of laughs. I don't have to worry about him getting into a fight because he's got liquid courage. So Ted just seems like a fun guy to hang out with.
SPEAKER_02All right, all right, pretty good. Okay, uh, I'm gonna go with love. I got love for Jeff, who um, you know, had had the pleasure of really having Sandra hang off his, you know, um, you know, just all movie long. She was just attached to them. And I just I, you know, he had a cool truck. I like that whole, like, you know, hey ass, that's my truck, like that whole sequence in the beginning. I thought, yeah, it was kind of funny. Uh, there's a couple of like, you know, uh misleading in part two, right? You got Alice, who okay, she's gonna be in it again. Nope, she's not, she's dead. Then you got Sandra and uh and Jeff, and you think, okay, maybe they're the main stars. Nope, they're not either, right? So uh I'm gonna give him a little bit of love. I was originally gonna go with Scott, but because you decided to hate on him, I figured, you know what, I'm gonna I'm gonna switch gears here and I'm gonna go with Jeff. So I'm gonna give Jeff some love. So you're you're on top.
SPEAKER_01All right, so this is probably controversial myself, but as far as character, I did not like at all. Paul. He throws his little temper tantrum when um Jenny shows up. Like, as a lead, you know, again, I'm a veteran, I know leading and managing, and he's having this meeting, and she pulls up in front. What the hell? And he kind of runs off in a little temper tantrum. He just seemed kind of a a wimp, or just like I didn't trust him. Yeah, and then that you know, granted, he did save her by tackling Jason, but never not once did he say, Hey, run, get out of here. You just hear him grunting and stuff. If I'm trying to protect the woman I care about, run, leave, get out of here while I hold him off. At least you get the free, you know, try and get to safety. Never said nothing like that. And at the end, you don't know what happens to Paul. Yeah, you can't trust him. And this is I know this is gonna be spicy. He wears two shirts, both of them tucked in at the same time. Who does that? Seriously, who does that? Who wears two shirts and tucks them both into jeans? You can't trust a person like that.
SPEAKER_02So this is this is why this is why we have uh Uncle Pete on this show for expert analysis like that. I never noticed that, but now I I you know it's it's definitely gonna be in my psyche. So um You're not gonna be able to unsee it. No, I I probably won't. And I I love it. I love it. You don't get this kind of analysis on any other podcast. Um, that's awesome. Actually, I I yeah, I got definitely want to check this out now. Um I'm going uh what are what are we on? Hate, hate. I I hate the cop. I know that's again, that's kind of like low-hanging fruit, but he kind of really pissed me off a little bit. Again, uh I think it was just a duration of screen time that he had. It's not like it it didn't fit. It kind of made sense. I get it. Um, but he was just he was kind of not really a likable guy. And and Paul actually had the funny line there in that one with uh no seconds on dessert. I thought that was pretty that was pretty cute by Paul. Um yeah. Cop.
SPEAKER_01Again, I know wasn't like riveting stuff there, but he was in my shortlist because do I did a bunch of law enforcement stuff in the military, you know, clearing rooms and stuff. It he had no clue however had to clear a room or nothing, just no sense of awareness, no spatial awareness. So when law enforcement's written really poorly in a movie, I just I kind of just roll my eyes. I was like, Yeah, man, that person sucks. So yeah, he was on my short list.
SPEAKER_02All right, so uh that's it, right? We gave our two for both love and hate. Yeah. All right. So um I I again, I don't remember what the segment is called. I think we'll call it Love or Hate, Love and Hate, or I don't know. We'll we'll figure it out, we'll figure something a little catchier. But uh hope you enjoyed that and uh let us know. Who are you who do you love? Who do you hate in Friday 13th, part two? Again, let's take Jason and Ginny out of it uh and uh and let us know. Um do you who and who who called it better? Whose list is a little bit better? We'll uh we'll put them in the in the comments below. Cool. Other than that, I think we've had a pretty fun episode here, Uncle Pete. You have anything you want to learned a lot.
SPEAKER_01Hopefully everybody had fun learning them something themselves.
SPEAKER_02All right. So until the next episode, which is a fun one, ladies and gentlemen. This is the many looks of Jason. We're gonna dive into uh just the many looks of Jason. I guess I didn't have to repeat that. But uh maybe I'm doubling down because it's going to be a fun, fun episode. So we'll see you then. Until then, thank you very much. Have a good day, night, weekend, and we'll see you soon. Bye. Bye.
