But we have another segment and we're going to it's it's called it's uh we don't really have a name for it, but we'll call it four and four. And what we're gonna do is we're gonna rank the top four kills in Friday the thirteenth, part four, the final chapter, which arguably had some of the best kills. So um this one should be fun. Uh we don't know what each other picked, so we'll try not to uh repeat too much, but um I'm sure that the list will have some of the same thing. Well, I'm sure we will. All right. So we'll start off with number four from Uncle Pete. What do you got?
SPEAKER_01Uh Samantha, mainly because what she had to do while she was in that raft, she was like naked from the top up, you know, just like a little bodysuit on below. It was freezing water in January. She just, you know, her boyfriend's trying to get with one of the twins, so she just I'm gonna go take a nude raft ride and just get impaled from underneath as soon as she gets startled, and just hearing her like gurgling because you got the water and everything that's rushing, and just as it goes through the raft and everything, it's just and plus I thought she was really cute, so I'm gonna give her credit for that. And it's just it was a painful kill. Yeah, I think just to she's chilling in the raft, she's depressed, and just gets stabbed through underneath because again, there was some inventiveness to that kill. Yep. Stabbed underneath through the raft, all the way through her as she's girdling, you know, dying. Yeah. Good one for me.
SPEAKER_00All right, all right. My number four is kind of I'd say it's a little bit of a hot take. I think I think my four and three are kind of. Um I like the hitchhiker. I I that was on my short list. Was it? I I thought that was brutal. Now it's funny because as much as I give a lot of credit to Ted White, that was Tom Savini that actually did the acting in that. Um, I love that kill. I thought, like, you know, poor, you know, poor girl just sitting on the side of a road eating a banana and uh, you know, showing the squeezing of the banana, showing the banana cutting.
SPEAKER_01See, that's the squeezing of the banana. That's the exclamation point for the kill for me. For sure. Is the squeezing Dad, see I'm glad you brought that up.
SPEAKER_00Like I love that. Like that's exact that would that was pretty bang on, and like I said, just like it was unapologetic. She was you know a heavy set woman with like banana all in her mouth, and and it was just like real. And I I I loved it. I love that.
SPEAKER_01The campers just bullied her and made fun of her. I know.
SPEAKER_00I mean I know. Oh yeah. No mercy, no mercy. Uh okay, number three.
SPEAKER_01Um, Nurse Morgan. Uh in in the in the beginning, because uh A, Lisa Freeman, huge crush on her, by the way, had a small role in Back to the Future. She played one of Lorraine's sisters, uh, friends. So Crispin Glover, also a little connection there. But yeah, I like it because obviously, you know, I think she's she was just absolutely beautiful. And it was just brutal because you don't see too much. I mean, she turns around, gets scared, you get that fake jump scare, then she then is Jason, you know, grabs her on the throat, lifts her up, classic horror movie, and just he sticks a knife in her and just drags it down. And again, it was edited, you don't see much cut, you don't see much of the blood because the way it worked out, because they said it looked like she was peeing originally with the way the blood was dripping. But I think here not showing so much, just showing the look on her face, the way she sold it, how painful it was, is what why I put it in number three. Is because even though with the lack of blood, the way she sold it, like oh my god, this really hurts, yeah, is what sold that kill for me. I think it's an unsung kill.
SPEAKER_00All right. All right, well said. Uh, my number three is not as much of a hot take as I thought, because it's Nurse Morgan. I uh yeah, and I'm not gonna I'm not gonna spend too much time regurgitating what you said. Um, I just thought it was uh a finely acted kill. Um I thought she just she again like the hitchhiker, went for it. I don't know if this is Joe Zito's direction and he got this out of these actors. Um, but you know, it was painful and it was merciless. Like, you know, Jason was just like pissed off. And poor nurse got the brunt of it, and like I said, her her howls and screams were were authentic. It wasn't pretty screams, you know. It was like that that it was painful, and I I love that. Number two.
SPEAKER_01Kind of ties in in this morgan, Axel, because it was a little cathartic when he died, because I I got such a crush on Lisa Freeman, she's so beautiful, yeah, and I'm like, she is so out of Axel's lead. Why is she with him? She is so out of buttons. It's just he's a creepy guy, doesn't deserve her. That aside, the combination of the bone saw and the head twist at the same time. Like the second you have a saw in your neck, this before you can even say ow, your whole head is twisted around. And it's just so quick, so sudden. This shows you Jason, Jason ain't dead, he's back, he's just up and pissed, and he's just gonna plow through whoever he's gotta go through. So I think it sets up the um the movie really well going with Axel.
SPEAKER_00I I I mean, it was so brutal, right? Like, you know, it was just so um it was again mean spirited. It's like, you know, I think I think the kill was done, but he made sure that uh that it was definitely um uh that he polished them off really well, and I'm I'm glad that you had that one on the list. I did not, but um, anyways, obviously um good old police academy alumni there. Uh my number two is uh Jimmy where's the corkscrew? Um I uh you know I I love this one um for a lot of reasons, obviously, very painful with the corkscrew. Um just turns into the shot and just again just the the the brutalness of it. I'm not gonna say much more because without knowing your list, I think it might be your number one if I'm guessing right. But I don't know, and I don't know this, but uh yeah, I think I said my piece with it. So with that, let's go to our number ones and to number one.
SPEAKER_01To no surprise, yeah, Jimmy is my number one when we did the whole what have survived and everything, I just gushed about Jimmy. My love for him as such a great character. How can you not like this kill? If you ranked all the kills in the franchise, top five, easy, easy, easy, easy top five kill. Hey Ted, where's the cockscrew? First off, a corkscrew not only in your back of your hand, pinning it to the table, and the second you're able to realize the pain, oh shit, my hand is pinned to the table, you turn around and you get a cleaver, not like this, not to the side, across your face.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01And then it's just it don't linger on it for too long, too. It's just like and the screen cuts away. And again, mean spirited.
unknownMean spirited.
SPEAKER_01I mean, at least, at least Jimmy got lucky before he died. If he didn't, if he didn't get lucky before he died, I would have felt worse. But at least he got lucky before he died. But it Jimmy was a I love Jimmy. Yeah, like the little jokes I can go on about Jimmy. I hated seeing him die.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because he was such a he was such a great character. Vicious, vicious, mean skier, mean spirited, brutal kill. Like it was like almost like Jason made it personal. Yeah. Like the guy called Jason a dead fuck. Like he wanted to get back at Jason. It was like personal. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, it's true. Alright. And my number one is Samantha. Um I I I love this kill.
SPEAKER_01We had three of the same people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I know. And that's yeah. Um, you know, Judy Aronson, like, I oh man, like, she was gorgeous in that film. Yep. And um, and you know, so I had a crush on her. So um and I actually had seen Weird Science before I saw Friday 13th, part four of the final chapter. So when I saw her in that and I recognized her, I was like, oh, alright, cool, game on. Yeah. And uh she didn't she didn't uh uh she delivered. So um I just thought that kill was brutal because um it just it obviously it looked brutal, like a knife right ripping right through your gut, like you know, in a raft and the cold raft and all that stuff, you know, half naked. Well no, she was fully naked, I apologize. Yeah. Um, you know, that adds to you know the titillating nature of the whole thing, right? Like, you know, it's uh um this is slasher films, this is what we do, right? Um and uh so naked chicks. So she she delivered on all accounts, but again, like um uh Freeman there, uh she she went for it, right? Like, you know, that wasn't like you know, I'm gonna die pretty. This is like I'm gonna go for it. I'm gonna, you know, this is this is how I feel probably. This is the way she was like uh feeling at the time. And it was an ugly kill, but in being ugly and and and the sounds being ugly, it was actually, you know, kind of sexy too, in a way, like you know, and I don't mind saying that because um there's a lot of people out there that would agree. The there's just something about that kill that um is just sparks the imagination a little bit. Um you feel for her, you feel bad for her. I mean, never mind the stories of the making of it, but just in the show, it it was in the movie, it was uh, you know, she was, you know, like Jimbo got lucky, she was the opposite, right? She's like, you know, losing her man, and then she gets that. It's kind of like the hitchhiker, losing her rod.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she wants to go like yeah, it's it's it's sad because like when you see a good character that you like connect with, you're like, oh like she's cute, she's a nice person. You don't want to see them die. Like the it's funny, most of the people we picked, well, three like Jimmy, Nurse Morgan, and Samantha, yeah, are all like super nice people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you know, Samantha, she just she liked to have sex, and there's nothing wrong with that. But she was a sweetheart. She was trying to get her her buddy to come out of her shell and have a good time, you know. And the only time she kind of, you know, got a little upset was when someone was trying to take her man, and who could blame her?
SPEAKER_01Um but he made the he made a bad choice. I mean, come on. Yeah. I w I would have gone with Samantha. That's a sure deal.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I guess.
SPEAKER_01I mean, Shelby and Terry were forget about it.
SPEAKER_00Gorgeous, but listen, he had been there and uh he was a young 18-year-old or whatever, been with a girlfriend.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, again, I guess I'm thinking like a 49-year-old guy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And then twins come around and you're like, okay, well, so you gotta put yourself in the age group if you're uh true. 18 years old. I forget. I don't know. Um 30 years ago. Um so excuse me. I think I kind of got through this episode uh decently, and I apologize for those of you who had to endure the coffee. That's what I'm trying. Um okay, so that's it. Let us know who um what your top four kills are in part four. I I'm curious to know. It's uh it was a hotbed for murders, and uh it's funny, yeah. We uh we neither of us picked the uh the spear gun, which was obviously an incredibly painful thing. I do want to say one thing though. I do want to say one thing. When um oh shoot, oh man, what was his character's name? The guy that uh was with Trish was it? I forgot. Oh my god. I'm not I I I talk about how like you know, I don't know all the details about the character names. I'm usually pretty damn good. But anyways, where the I'm k he's killing me, he's killing me. Um no, yes. So I think it'll be something. I want to come to this guy's defense. Eric Anderson there. Um so he uh gets a lot of crap for that kill. Um for saying he's killing me. I love it. You know, I I liked it, but a lot of people really rip on that. But I just want to say, in in the defense of the character and everything like that, he's saying he's killing me to tell Trish to run. Like, he's not like, you know, he's not wrestling me, he's not like tackling me down and like giving me a noogie here. He's killing me. Run.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna die, go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like so though that line gets a lot of flack from Friday fans, and I think it's just so uh unjustified because he was warning her. He's he's killing me. What are you doing there, still? Get out of here. So, anyways, I just wanted to come to his defense and and um I got that defense as well.
SPEAKER_01People crap on it, but I was like, no, I think it sells the scene. Like he's and he's scared. He's like, Oh, this guy, he's killing me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he's he's doing yeah.
SPEAKER_01So, like I think you said about the director, he did a really good job at getting this emotion from a lot of these deaths.
SPEAKER_00You know, it is yeah, Joe Zito, yeah, absolutely. Like it can't, it's not a coincidence that they all just excelled in their death scenes. Um you know, and maybe or maybe it was Tom Savini, part and parcel, because he's been known to do that too, because in some of his horror films, like you, you know, the death scenes are elaborate, so it could have been guidance by him.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, he said this is how you take this kill, and yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And and probably that's the latter's probably a little bit more accurate, but um, but regardless, uh great film, great kills. That's what we love. And uh great episode. Another one in the books.
SPEAKER_01Uh let us know all your answers down in the comments.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, play along. Let's have some fun.
SPEAKER_01Your favorite looks, your kills.
