Desert Streams
Desert Streams is a quiet place to sit with grief, longing, and the steady presence of God. Hosted by Jessie Kuhn, LPC-S, these short reflections offer a gentle companion between therapy sessions and in the in-between seasons of life. No fixing. No pressure. Just space to breathe, notice what’s true, and be met where you are. You’re welcome to come as you are.

Episode 2 — When We Want to Leave
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A companion for the moments when staying feels unsafe, exhausting, or impossible.
In this reflection, we gently name the instinct to move away from discomfort — the protective reflex that helped us survive when staying didn’t feel, or wasn’t safe.
Together, we notice what it’s like to remain without force, and to discover that God is not alarmed by our struggle or our desire to leave.
