Funny enough, I was just kind of I was looking on uh one of the streaming apps that have Fandango and uh because uh the new Mortal Kombat. Yes, I think I think you still still can. But it's for streaming like new movies because Mortal Kombat 2's on there. And that's what I was looking at was Mortal the New Mortal Kombat. And I saw I saw this movie with Jake Gyllenhaal and Henry Cavill, and I was like, I wonder what this one's about. So I press play on the trailer, and I was like, screw Mortal Kombat, I'm gonna watch this. And I watched this movie, and I was like, I have to tell the world about this thing. And it knocked us it knocked his socks off. It's probably my new favorite like action movie. Um I can't say favorite movie because I think I think you just did, didn't you? I think Lord of the Rings is gonna be. Did he not say favorite action movie? I definitely have a text message where it says Run it back. We're gonna we're gonna play that for the You're gonna have to replay that one. I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to put my foot in my mouth. But let me let me read it.

This is direct. It says it's it's literally Ghost Recon Wildlands meets Oceans 11 slash any heist movie. It's probably my new favorite movie. Well, I put it probably in there, so I didn't see it. I knew you don't really like Lord of the Rings. Yeah. It was a charade charade. Strider's coming for you, buddy. Yeah. But anyways, so this movie is called In the Gray. It came out what May 21st or something like that.

It's not the Into the Gray. And it's not Gray Man. It's not Gray Man. This is In the Gray. Uh the two main I don't know, there's a there's a few lead actors, but Henry Cavill and Jake Jillan Hall, still the show in this one. Um like Zayn said, my description of it is I don't know if you're a video gamer, but uh Ghost Recon Wildlands is um a video game about where these uh super open worlds are. Super uh top tier, it's open world game. Top tier dudes are in the jungle fighting the cartel. And uh they're using like side by sides and just picking up weapons from anywhere. Kind of just using what they have um in the land to accomplish the mission. Um that's a whole nother plug we can. Um and then you get that game and you mix it with like a heist movie like uh uh Ocean's 11 or Italian job. Italian job. Yeah. It's it's like that. It's a it's a good it's a good mesh of those two um things. Well by God, let's watch it. Let's watch this trailer.

Um I haven't looked much into it, but like um But you saw the movie. I can I've watched the movie. I think it they're they as far as on screen, it they're such a good match. That's awesome. I guess have you guys seen the new roadhouse with Jake Dylan? Yes. No. That's hit the way he plays this character is similar to the way he and I think that's kind of why they cast it. They said, We need some, we need you to do that again. Yeah. Because he's like it's like a serious kind of silly and he's like, Do you have good health insurance? They have dental. It's like, I just slapped you. Yeah, I just slapped you. Are you okay? Yeah, yeah. He's kind of like that. Do you haven't seen that, Nick? No, the new roadhouse? Yeah, oh, that's another one. It's on Amazon, I think. Yeah, for free. Like it's included in Prime. But yeah, so that was in the gray. Um, it's already out on streaming on Voodoo's where I have or Fandanios where I got it. I'm not sure if it's free anywhere. But so we're gonna do something a little new, not this episode, but next one for that. Baker's doesn't. We're gonna watch the movie. Probably clip it. I think it's a cool concept, especially because of all the heist movies that have come out. Yeah. The fact that they did that is with with humor, so it's not super serious.

It's one of those, like I've seen some some trailers from movies, and I'm like, oh, this looks really good, and it's just hot garbage. Well, because everything good was in the trailer. Yeah, and everything good that's right, because everything good was in the trailer. But this one, like everything good is in the trailer because the whole thing's good, you know? Well, like the whole movie, I was I was interested. I'd rephrase that. I'd say it more like everything in the trailer is good because the whole movie's good versus everything good is in the trailer. Right. That makes it, you know, because I know you like that. There's movies where everything that's good in the movie is already you've already seen it in the trailer, you know, and so it's I hate that versus trying to think of one recently too a really good movie that everything in the trailer is good. Yeah, you know, yeah, I don't think it's definitely the latter former.

Because there's action, there's humor. Because I'm I've and I'm gonna be skeptics, I'm gonna go into it skeptical because I love the ocean movie so much. Yeah. I was a huge fan. No, no, no, no. But I'm just saying, like, that's why I asked about the chemistry, and it's a heist movie because and there's two leading men, you know what I mean? Tactical heist movie. Yeah, that seems even more up our alley. I just I'm excited.

So some like when I watch this, sometimes I'll like I'll I'll get dinner and kind of watch a movie, and this is kind of one of those things that I did. Usually I'll like either I'll I'll keep the movie going if I have to get up and get like a drink or something. Yeah, like this one I paused. Oh, yeah. I made sure to know what's going on. I definitely have movies like that wrong.

We should do a segment of movies that we can watch a thousand times and still pause it because this is boy howdy. I have a long list of those. I was like, if you say Batman, Nick. Well what's funny is like I did it today. I was watching the Batman with with our pat and and I paused it. I was at work.

Today on threads we're gonna be talking about um shorts and pants. That's kind of where we're going. Now I have there are lots of shorts and pants that I like to wear. Um today I'm gonna be talking about some specific ones that I like for several reasons. Um what I've got over there, buddy. What I got is these are Wrangler, and I'm I'm not even sure what the model is. There's some Wrangler pants and shorts that I get, and I get them at Walmart. They're inexpensive, they're they fit well, and they're pretty durable. Because I mean I've had the pair of pants, and the pants I've had longer than this than this particular pair of shorts, but I've bought non-rangler Walmart pants.

And that's just taking an I mean it's from taking an End doing like at the range and stuff, and it's rubbing against the corner of my prosthetic, but I mean it's still it's still holding pretty pretty damn good.

My prosthetist? Prosthetician? Yeah. Prosthesis? Honestly, my favorite thing is the back pockets. So the the back pockets I put where I usually put my wallet in. They're they're like wide. So you can slip your wallet in and then move it off to the side. So when you sit down in like your car or whatever, you don't have to sit on it.

But yeah, that's for me, like it's especially on like long drives, sitting in the car and it like it just Oh, dude, it'll mess your back up. Wait, yeah, yeah, you can get your sciatica throwing your hips off. That's why that's why I keep my po my wallet in my front pocket from now on. I had really bad sciatic nerve problems. Oh dang. I didn't know that. Well, so the those also have a tech tech pocket on the front. So like the front, there's obviously the normal pockets on the front, but on the right side there's an extra one so you can put your phone in that and it doesn't go all the way down. Yeah, that's what these have. So it's not your turn. It's not my turn. Wait, Jordan. I'm just excited about them. They're Wrangler and they're like I said, they're inexpensive. And like I have, I mean, I've got 511, which I like those. I've got Cry Precision. I've I'm sorry, Zayn, are you plugging them? Born primitive. And Shadow wants to send it. If Cry Precision wants to send me some free pants, I'm all for it. Yeah. Can you please actually cry, could you please sponsor those? I would love that too. Also, we'll see you in Vegas after Shot Shot from what I hear. But yeah. So I mean that's like I said, I've got a lot of pants. Those are just for a lot of our listeners, that's that's a really inexpensive option. And like I said, they're very durable. Um, they even they they do well, they don't it doesn't take a long time for them to dry because they're thinner. Yeah, but I don't think I've ever been like cold. Now that's not saying a lot, I'm a pretty warm-natured person. So it's not really it's hard of me for to compare for other people because like my wife could wear those and she would probably freeze, but she's cold natured, so she didn't like how cold I keep the house. But I mean that's just because they're not they're not thick, obviously, but they're they're gonna be.

Has a lockbox on the AC now. They make those at like in like in high school gyms. Well, Zicki. The funny thing is is I can adjust it from my phone. So now like I when I when her mother-in-law's magic word. Like when my mother-in-law is here at the house by herself, I'll periodically check it and she's turned it up, so I'll turn it back down for my phone. What a scumbag. He's not even here and he's stirring the pot. Well, especially I it's usually when I'm getting close to time for me to come home, so I'm gonna make sure it's cooled down for when I get here. Still a douchebag. It is hot out there. I mean, I Jordan, you even work outside ever? Never, not a day in my life. Yeah, and so the obviously they have pants and then they have cargo short version because the the cargo they have cargo pockets on each side, they have a zipper on them, so you can put whatever. And I can fit my my iPhone plus in a juggernaut case in that pocket and zip it up. So it's a pretty deep pocket. Yeah, I think we we were talking before, and I have I have the a pair like those, but mine have a a threaded button instead of yours has like the metal metal, yeah. I don't what is that called? I don't even know. Clasp. Unthreaded probably. That's an unthreaded button. It's not a clasp, I don't know what it would be. Yeah, I don't I don't know what you would call it.

Like when Jordan said that his button was threaded, and I was like, your pants screw on? Like how we all have blonde moments, I guess. Yeah, I would pee my pants a hundred percent of the time. You're missing the toilet because you're dizzy. I have to wear I have to wear shorts because and just pee under my leg.

Lift the leg lift the leg up. Ace. Yeah, you laugh, but I chastity shorts. When I first when I when I first lost my leg, that's what I'd used to do. I'd go to the wheelchair to the bathroom, stand up on the one leg, lean, and just pull my shorts, uh my short pants, uh the shorts up outside. Yeah, listeners, Zane still does that, I'm sure. Sometimes when I'm in my wheelchair, why not? It's easy. Ease of access, Nicholas. Nasty, nasty. Can't do them cargo shorts though.

Let me go because you have cooler stuff, and I didn't bring anything for show and tell because I suck. You're wearing your show and tell. Well, I'm gonna I'm gonna plug I'm gonna plug two brands because I've got a couple pairs of Oakley pants that up until recently I didn't fit into and thank thankfully I've lost some weight and been able to wear them. But no, when it comes to like if we're talking tactical pants and like for comfort and everything, it's all 5'11. I have 5'11 jeans and I love 511 khaki pants, uh, especially for the range, because like Zayn was saying, like going like going into a kneeling position, all both or or all the 5'11 khakis that I've had have always had a reinforced knee. Yeah, they they sometimes have that like stretchy strip on the inside on the inseam. Um, they've got some of them have just standard cargo pockets. Uh the I think one of the pairs I have have almost almost like a cargo pocket on the thigh for for like a pocket knife or a Gerber. Um it's I just some of them some of them stretch it, like have a little bit of elastic built in to stretch the the waist. So I I mean that's I like those. They're just super durable. I've had one pair for like six or seven years, and I don't I granted I don't wear them every day and I don't always take them to the range, but I wear them quite a bit, and there isn't a single hole, single stitch out of place, and it's like that waffle y kind of material. Yeah, I I don't know. I know I know I'm I'm kind of a sellout, but when it comes to clothes like that, I love I love 5'11 pants.

I've got 5'11s because they're I mean it five eleven is a good brand. They are durable.

Although if we're talking about jeans, 5'11 or AE, I'm all about American Eagle pants going back to when I was in high school.

Yeah, I don't think I've had a pair of AE jeans since high school. Yeah. I've got some 5'11 jeans though. I do like their jeans. I like how they have a we've got a mag pocket on either side of the jeans kind of built in. And so I think one of the episodes you were talking about the 511 jeans, and I didn't know they made jeans until then. Mm-hmm.

So I was gonna plug because I'm wearing Oakley, I do have some Oakley pants, and obviously I have Oakley shorts and stuff, but I I was thinking about it while you while Zayn was talking, and I'm Like for the range though, the 511 ones, because they're so reinforced and they've they've still have yet to be thrown away because they're in great shape.

I just no when you say reinforced, is that like something on the knee to where you're not feeling like rocks and nobody's talking about? He's talking about double layer. Just a double layer. Like a double layer.

It almost looks like almost sometimes it kind of looks like a patch. Okay because it's it goes past the knee and below the knee, but but yeah. Just a little bit.

Sometimes sometimes on the outside like that, sometimes they put it on the inside so you don't actually see it. Right.

The ones that I have uh do are a little bit more comfortable when going into the kneeling than just wearing like a pair of regular pair of pants or jeans, but they're also it's also noticeable for for durability. Yeah, that's so so yeah. That's my plug.

What do you got for us, Jay? Mine are a pair of shorts that they also do make like legit pants and swim trunks. So these are actually gym shorts by a company called Bird Dogs. Oh, I think I remember you telling them. Um so the all their stuff has built-in liners, so I don't have to wear underwear. I haven't bought underwear in years. Um guess who's pants anymore. Guess who's going commando? Uh so no other pants have liners too. But like when I wear like blue jeans or or oh okay. I have underwear. I still have underwear. I still own underwear. I just haven't had to buy any. He doesn't because I don't wear them out as much. Looking into the camera, looking into the camera for that one. He doesn't. He doesn't. Just goes free balling. Um, but yeah, so these are these are the gym shorts. These are like a camo. It's funny because like these have a hundred like the safety orange on the inside.

So if you turn if you wear them inside out, you look like a cone. You can't wear them inside out, but yeah. You could, I guess. I mean you you could. Yeah, I could. And this is my favorite pair. This is a blue, like a navy with like a green inside.

I see you. Oh, it doesn't say what. So another like cool, like it's I don't think it's cool, but it's funny. So if you want to pull up them up them up online, Zane, they have like really silly names for their um pulled up products. Um and so yeah, this is a pair that I I wanted to show. These are uh joggers. And like I said, they all have liners in them. Um all their stuff has you know drawstrings so you can adjust it. Don't have to. These don't have belt loops. I'm gonna have to get those. Oh, that's cool. These have belt loops. Some of them have belt loops. The the gym shorts don't have belt loops, joggers don't have belt loops, but like the other shorts. The night riders. Yeah. The Kung Powers. Taekwon don'ts. Yeah. They might have had to change some of their like silly, silly names. Go to uh khaki the brave shorts, gray area 51. Go to khaki. Khaki. I wonder if they still have them. The sunrise crew, the side quests, they changed their names. What did they used to be?

We ran what Trigicon at at the PD Zane. Yep. Um, I ended up using a uh um oh my gosh, my brain. HoloSun. I used the HoloSun after the fact and immediately fell in love with it, not having to change the battery. Um I had one on a rifle, cancelled at a 45. I had one on my Glock 45, and then Glock or um HoloSun came out with like the gun brand specific ones. Oh yeah. So you didn't need a plate anymore, and I I absolutely fell in love with them. So between the between not needing a plate, because they make them for all the brands or a lot of the brands, and the the dot, it was I think my dot was green. I just all the way around, I'm I'm always gonna plug HoloSun. I'm a huge fan. Huge, huge fan. And I I mean I've never used any of their other stuff, just the the like pistol size or the the pistol one, but but yeah, that's my yeah.

Oh, and one more thing I wanted to say before I forget to to kind of plug them. I did use the one on the rifle and the one on the pistol in multiple shooting competitions and you know, banged it around and never lost a zero. That's good, never never came off, never broke, the glass didn't break.

People knock on them because they're Chinese made, but still that doesn't I mean everything's made in China. Like the the proof is there, like there, that's it's a good optic because it holds zero. That's they issued a hollow the Hollow Sun 509 T.

It's funny that you say that because like when I I went through red dot instructor course and the the PowerPoint presentation that these guys put on, they were talking about how like you know, depending on what your agency is, because you know, not every agency is gonna buy everything. You know, they give you the option. You can put a red dot on your gun, but you have to pay for it because they don't provide guns either, you know what I mean? And so he's like, so we want to they have to get it approved. He's like, he at his agency, the guy, the instructor, he's like, they have to go through me to get it approved because you got you who's that who you know, who's ever met a cheap cop before? Nobody, right? Nobody's ever met a cheap cop. Yeah, right. And he's like, so they'll go to freaking Amazon and get like 50 bucks and he pulls, he has like a picture of it in the slideshow. It's like, I don't even remember what the brand was, and it's like a $50 red dot, and he's like, they're gonna bring this and then go to go to work with it. He's like, absolutely not, you know, and so but they are holo sun coming onto the market. That's one of the reasons they've been so popular, is they're so affordable. I mean, because what what's the starting price for for an RMR? It's like what four subcorns. That's the that's for the cheap ones, right? And I was getting hollow suns for like 250, I think 300 bucks. And so, I mean that's I mean, because even the Vortex red dots, because they weren't as good when they first came out with them, but they've gotten a lot better. I know a lot of people have said. I've never I've only ever had one Vortex, and I think it was a first generation, but I never had any issues with it, but um yeah, and so like I mean Vortex even are like a little more expensive than HoloSun, I think.

And one thing I I'd never even thought about, but I guess the so when I went through that course, they talked about when you anytime you have to if you have an optic that's got a takeoff to put a new battery in or whatever, they talk about like you should replace the screws when you remount it. You're telling me that. And I was like, I never thought about that. You know, just keep the that way there's minimal because once you torque it, it could change the you know, the squeeze down on the th on the threads a little bit because they're so fine. And so he's he they recommend getting new screws to replace it. And he sent me a website or showed us a website where you can get um you're the one who told me that the the different screws. Okay, they've got I was talking to somebody. I was looking at that, and it's I mean, not just screws, but they they make all kinds of stuff. Yeah. I was like, who told me that?

Jordan does, yeah. I do have one too. If you ever need to use it, my dad got he my dad has a fix it stick. He just did the torques or the torque part of it, yeah, but he ordered it for like 20 bucks. I bought one when I started doing all that stuff, and it it's it's digital. Oh, nice. I think Jordan yours is too, right? No, mine's mine's analog. Oh, okay. Not digital. Yeah, so my other optic I've got is the RMR, but this one you can kind of see it in there. Um, it's the orange dot, it's the amber color. I don't know if you can see it, but so it's this one, there is no battery, so I don't have to I don't have to take it off. The Trigicon, no, what's it's got fiber optic across the top? Trigicon, but then oh I'm sorry, I was I thought it was the Holocene. I'm sorry. No, no, no. Yeah, sorry. This is this is well that that holocone has a battery in it. Yeah, it just the the solar keeps it tight where you don't have to replace as often, but we still replace ours every year. Yeah. Just because you know because yeah, liability reasons. Just because just to make sure. But yeah, this one it the tritium, and I don't even know what the half-life is on tritium. It's like a stupid amount of years. Probably more than I'll be using this gun, I would imagine. But yeah, it's got the tritium to help it glow when there is no light available, but then when there is, it's got the fiber optic on the top. Um, this is this is a Trigicon that's a little bit higher on the price range just because of the fact that it's got those two options. Um one one thing I know a lot of people didn't like about the Trijicons because you have to take the optic off to replace the battery because it was underneath. But now they have the RMRHD and it's a little bit longer of an optic. I mean, not that it's much longer, but battery's top fed. So it's on there's a door on top. You can't. Yeah, that makes way more sense.

Yeah, well, and it's unless you had I would you know what I was just thinking would be crazy is if if it sits on like a spacer, having a spacer on a hinge where you're taking off like a side screw instead of taking off the entire you technically can't hold zero that way.

Yeah, you can see the red dot in there. Um but yeah, but I mean the the red dot that I did buy to replace it does. Um this is just what came with the ACOG. Gotcha. So I didn't it didn't let you pick. Well, I was gonna say I know that was one thing that got talked about was like the you know the because like if you're outside in sunlight and you're trying to shoot in the dark, and so now you you know vice versa, and then vice versa, if you go if you're in darkness and so it's dimmed for you and then trying to see, you know, it's both because like you're trying to shoot into a dark room, the red maybe uh over flooding the dark area, and so now you can't also have a co-witness to my suppressor high sight, so I mean I have it's kind of best of both worlds too. Yeah. So um, but yeah, so Armar, like you have Armar. I mean Armor's just the kind of it's just cream of the crop. I I like the Hollow Suns, but I'll probably stick with the Armor. Yeah, that's kind of my my go-to's Armor. Actually, I've shot a different Trijicon, the SRO. I don't have one. I I wanted to bring one, um, but my buddy he's out of town. Uh I couldn't get it. But it's the rounded, right? The rounded one. Yeah, it's it's it's a little bit lifted and it's rounded. It has a bigger side picture. It's just it's a it's a cleaner optic. And I oh the SRO is is probably what I'll I'll buy next. Who makes that? Um Trigicon. Trigicon. Yeah. I it's funny you talk about the SRO, so they make the MRO, which is the rifle version. Yeah. I want to get one of those. MROs are good too. Um, and I've y'all seen I don't think y'all have seen that one. I know y'all have probably seen this one. This is my on my FN. Uh the EFLX is made by Eotech. Um, it does have the the brightness adjustable batteries on the top. Um, I got this one. It was like Eotech had just dropped this, and I was kind of looking about the same time I was looking for a uh a pistol optic, and it kind of it color matches kind of good on the on the FN. And so I was like, yeah, it looks good. I like that. And it's made by Eotech, so uh really good optic, really good, really good red dot. There's no really much you can EOTEC's hard to go bad with. Yeah, I mean same with the same like Tridicon. I mean, it's they got military contracts, I mean they make good stuff. Unless what was it? They got banned, the you the Eotech got banned for a couple years because of the it froze and like in Antarctica or something. Sub subtemperatures it wouldn't hold zero or something like that. Oh geez. Yeah, but it's like temperatures like you wouldn't survive in anyways. So it's like why does that matter? Why do we care? Yeah. Like basically like the the the Oh look, are you gonna run missions in Antarctica or not? Yeah, are you gonna start diving on like under the Arctic uh circle? Yeah, like it was that cold. Yeah, like it was I remember it was a ridiculous cold temperature, but it was like the Fed's gonna go. Yeah, we we it's not it's not to the standard. It's like, are you kidding me? Like Yeah. Um last, I want to mention the one that I have on Truit's little budget option or budget gun that I made, his little RXM, is the um strike industry seeker. Um it is kind of like a uh I don't want uh like a Call of Duty-esque red dot because you can change it. I'd say is it the one you said has like 12 options? Yeah, it has different options. No, not twelve, it's only four. Oh, but maybe you said it as jokingly.

What uh what distance do you zero your pistol optics at? Uh we do zero to ten, confirm at twenty-five. So whatever that is. Yeah, well no, it's it's zero zero to ten, so it's ten is where it strikes, and then that's that's what we do for our duty guns. Nick, do you did you know what distance you did your red dots at? A lot of people do 15. That's what I thought.

As I say, that's why that's why Because we used to set up that big tractor tire at the range and lean up against it.

Yeah. The RMR on my red on my ACOG, I did for 25. And that makes a little more sense. It's on a ride. I mean, yeah. But yeah, 15, I think, was what I did my Z. I mean, obviously you're not at a unit, but a unit would have an SOP like at this distance, you're gonna switch to that. And so that's what you want it to be set for it, you know. But so I know one thing when we were talking about they they had us do it. Our agency already did it at 10, but they recommended at that class doing it at 10 just because um because they most most of the you know law enforcement engagements are up close. You know, it's like seven to eight yards, I think it was the window they were showing. So if you do it at ten, you're good. Um but yeah, uh which that brand, in case anyone you know was curious, it was offset tactical. Um, they're out of the Chicago area, actually, Nick.

I just remember speaking of that, Zayn, I remember we did a SWAT competition or a a competition at SWAT once where we were shooting trying to see who could do the furthest shot with the it was a Glock forty five with it with the Trigicon, and I shot it I don't remember if I was the furthest. Jeez. That's a that's a good confidence builder because you can do it. And that's one thing it's tough with iron sights to do to be able to do that because the iron sight when you get further away, it's like because you're focused on that front sight, the way the iron sights work, you know, you're it's kind of covering the target, whereas the red dot kind of just overlays it. Right. And so but yeah, like I was saying, offset tactical. But they have a bunch of they post drills like weekly. So if anybody out there wants to go check out their stuff, and I'm not trying, I mean, I like the I'll say this both instructors, the the the main the lead instructor and then the other guy that came in, they were both Marines, so obviously that was kind of a brother. But oh brother, this guy stays freaking some good good shooters, but they post drills like weekly, so you can do some different drills, and then literally all their targets and not even their targets, because they have a bunch of different classes, but not even the targets from their red dot course, but they have targets from rifle courses and all kinds, and they're free. And most of their targets you print, you can print them out on an eight and a half by eleven because it's easy to access. Print their targets, throw them up. I don't know. I think you're biased just because they're marines. Well, they're probably not even any good.

And I'm like, no, it's not service related. Zayn and I had this okay, not to go down the rabbit hole even further, but Zayn and I had this joke when we used to live together where we were like, we always make jokes about it, and obviously Zane doesn't get uncomfortable because we're friends, but imagine being like when we do it in public and it makes other people uncomfortable, it makes it even more enjoyable for us.
