Welcome to Season 2 of Unfiltered with Love!

After taking a short break following a reflective first season, Kerry returns with a new question: Now what?

In this episode, she shares why it felt like the right time to shift the conversation from looking back to looking ahead. From taking an embodiment class and launching Emotional Clarity & Guidance Sessions to realizing that all the seemingly unrelated pieces of her life are beginning to fit together, Kerry opens up about what it feels like to stop surviving... and start creating.

This isn't about having life all figured out. It's about being curious enough to ask better questions, embrace new opportunities, and begin building what's next.

Season 2 is all about honest conversations—not lectures. Together, we'll explore relationships, friendships, purpose, faith, business, modern dating, personal growth, and all the funny, messy, meaningful moments that make us human.

So... now what?

Maybe it's time to start something.

Speaker

Welcome back. I'm Kerry Love, and this is Unfiltered with Love. Can you believe we're already at season two? First of all, thank you for being here. Whether you've listened to every episode or you're just finding the podcast, I'm really glad you're here. I have to laugh because I sat down to write this episode and I kept wanting to write another episode about healing. And I literally caught myself and thought, haven't we talked about healing enough for a little while? And I have to say that one of the reasons why I wanted to pause was I really loved season one. We had some really good guests. We talked about some really good things, relationships, identity, gratitude, and as I said, amazing conversations with Theresa and Scott. But when I stopped and thought about season one and the direction it was heading in, I felt it was very reflective on who I've been in the past, but not really where I'm at right now. So it wasn't my vision for this podcast. As I said, I'm glad that we had those conversations and I'm happy to have had reflections on my past, but now I'm ready to start and figure out where am I at now? I'm not waking up thinking about my past anymore. So what am I thinking about? What's different for me right now? I started taking a class on embodiment. It's a coaching certification, and I can add that to my already list of things that I've worked on within myself. It's very challenging. I've enjoyed it. Growth isn't just about learning. You know, at some point you actually have to live it. I've been incorporating that into my actual life as well. And I like the emotional clarity and guidance sessions that I have been offering, and I hope to elaborate more on that with the embodiment coaching certification. So that's been exciting. But I enjoy the sessions, not because I have everyone's answers, but because sometimes people just need someone to listen and ask good questions. And I learned from my sessions as well. It made me realize I'm creating again. Yay! And I posted something on Facebook the other day, and honestly, I didn't even realize what I was writing until after I hit post. You know, have you ever done that? Like you write something, and then afterward you read it back and think, huh, I guess I needed to hear that too. I realized that up until this point, I've had all these little puzzle pieces of my life, my marketing background, my event planning, volunteering, Reiki, this podcast, every relationship, the places I've lived, the people, the unexpected detours and lessons. And it suddenly hit me that all these little pieces are starting to take shape into something. But then almost immediately it hit me, now what? Because recognizing the puzzle isn't the ending, it's the beginning. Now I get to build. So I'm really excited because I'm dreaming again. I'm saying yes to opportunities, meeting new people, new ideas are taking shape, feeling excited instead of just surviving. And I'm not ready to share all of it yet, but it feels really good to be excited about what's ahead. So something else I've been thinking about. I don't really want this podcast to feel like a lecture. I don't have it all figured out, I don't have life all figured out. I'd rather just have conversations. Let's talk about things like modern dating, purpose, friendships, business faith, funny observations, the things that people don't want to talk about, conversations with guests, different perspectives, maybe things that we don't always talk about. I've in my class today, I was actually talking with some of the other students in the class and saying how it's interesting when you're out and about that sometimes when we meet people and we're interacting with them, and it lacks a lot of uh authenticity and realness. And we were discussing a lot about how on a daily basis, I think it's a lot of performance. You go out into the world and it's like, what's the weather today? Or just surface level conversations. And sometimes I think we really miss the authenticity and the depth. And it's nice to have honest conversations about different things. So I really want to do that with this podcast. I have absolutely no idea where the season is going to take us, and honestly, I kind of like that. So I'd really like to hear from you. If something makes you laugh, tell me. If you completely disagree with me, tell me. If there's something you've been wondering about, send me a message. I think some of the best conversations start with one really good question. So instead of leaving you with something to think about, I'm going to leave you with something to do. Go start something. But I mean, maybe just wait if you're driving until after you've finished this episode. But um, you know, take the class, start the business, sign up for yoga, go back to school, book the trip, start the podcast, write the first page, call the friend, start therapy, hire the coach, apply for the job, join the gym, learn to paint, volunteer, ask someone out for coffee, go on the date, or maybe say no to the date. Because let's be real, sometimes, you know, that's a real possibility. Have the hard conversation, set the boundary, forgive someone, forgive yourself, take one tiny step towards something you've been dreaming about. I don't know, maybe don't do all of those things this week. Maybe give yourself some real realistic uh timeline there. Please don't message me next week and tell me you started a business, wrote a book, ran a marathon, and got engaged because of one podcast episode. Just pick one, one thing, because little things have a funny way of turning into big things. It doesn't have to be perfect, it doesn't have to be big, it just has to be a beginning. And maybe that's what season two is really about. This is Unfiltered with Love. I'm your host, Kerry Love, and I'm so glad you're here. I'll see you next week.
