We live in a world where answers are everywhere. With tools like AI, we can learn, explore, and understand more than ever before.

But there’s a difference between information… and truth.

In this episode of Hubble Life, we explore the difference between AI and the Holy Ghost—what each can do, what each cannot do, and why that distinction matters more than ever.

AI can inform.
 But the Holy Ghost transforms.

As you learn to recognize that difference, you’ll begin to trust the voice that brings clarity, peace, and personal direction.

We live in a world where we can get answers instantly. Any question, anytime. We have our phones, we have our computers, whatever it is, we can ask a question and get an answer immediately. But here is the real question. If you can get answers anywhere, how do you know what is actually true? Welcome back to Hubble Life, where we are learning to see our lives through an eternal lens and better understand who we are and what our potential is. Over the past two episodes, we've talked about who the Holy Ghost is and how to recognize him. And today we're stepping into something very relevant to the world that we live in right now: AI versus the Holy Ghost. How do you know which one to trust? What is true? Um where do I find my answers from? Where do I get them? Because we now live in a time where information is everywhere. We can ask questions, we can get answers instantly, we can learn almost anything, and that is really, really incredible when you think about it. But it also creates a real challenge. When everything can give you answers, how do you know who to trust or what to trust? Let's start with something that's really important. First of all, AI is not bad. In fact, it can be incredibly helpful. And I haven't always thought this way. I had to be eased into this idea that AI could be a tool for good and do amazing things. It can organize information, it can actually offer ideas and help you with a thinking process, putting plans together, it can help you think through problems, and it can give different perspectives. It can be a very powerful tool for learning. And I learned this when I went up to the Roots Tech Conference. They had several different classes on AI and family history. And that was amazing to me to see what AI can do, how it can help in all these different areas of our life. It really can be such a powerful tool for us. And tools can be good, but there are things that AI cannot do. And I think this is where we have to be careful because you can get sucked into this idea that AI has all the answers, that this artificial intelligence is something that you can trust always. But here's the thing: AI cannot testify of truth, it cannot confirm what is spiritually right, and it can never replace personal revelation. It can give you information, but it cannot give you spiritual confirmation. And that difference really does matter because the Holy Ghost does something entirely different. He teaches truth, he testifies of Christ, He brings peace, and He confirms things that are right. Those are things AI cannot do. In Moroni 10, 5, we read this by the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things. Not just some things, all things, everything. That doesn't mean that it will instantly happen, though. And I think this is part of the problem. And this is part of our experience here and our figuring things out is to learn to listen and to be patient. Because answers through the spirit don't come all the time instantly. And it doesn't mean that it will be loud. Generally, and we talked about this in our last episode, the spirit speaks quietly. Um, so it's not going to be loud, it probably won't be instant, but it does mean that truth can be revealed to you through the spirit. So here's the simple thing: let's let's get this down to the simple things. AI can inform you, but the Holy Ghost will transform you. AI will give you options, but the Holy Ghost will give you a direction. AI speaks to your mind, and the Holy Ghost will speak to your soul. AI is external, it's a program, it's out there, it's it's not internal, and the Holy Ghost is very personal. AI is fast, incredibly fast. And I'm amazed at the things that AI can do. I can I can put in problems or questions and have AI spit out things that is remarkable. Here's the best things to plant in your yard at this time, here's this. But the Holy Ghost is often quiet and can sometimes leave me to wrestle for a little bit and figure things out on my own. He's quiet and he allows me to also work through some things, and then he will testify of the things that I've that I learned. AI might help you understand different possibilities, but the Holy Ghost will help you know what's right for you because what's right for you is different than what's right for me. And AI won't know the difference for those. It's not a real person, it doesn't do things that way. But the Holy Ghost will, He can testify to you and teach you things that you need to do personally and what's right for you. He will give you the answers you need. In a world that is so full of voices, social media, there's so many different opinions out there, there is so much information to gather, and everybody has a piece of advice. It's easy to rely on everything except for the one thing that matters the most, and that's the spirit. The spirit doesn't compete for attention, it allows you to do what you need to do, and it as you seek for it, he will help guide you. It quietly invites us to do things that we need to do, and if we are not intentional about listening to the Holy Ghost and trying to listen and recognize the Spirit, um, we can start to trust information more than revelation, and that is a scary place to be. There are moments in your life where you've maybe searched for answers everywhere. Um, you've researched, you've asked other people for their opinion, um, and you still felt unsure. And then as you ponder or have this question in the back of your mind, a quiet feeling comes. Maybe you open your scriptures and are led to a verse that helps you. In fact, that happened to me today. Um, had some questions and some things I've just been ruminating on in my mind and thinking about, and I opened, I prayed and opened my scriptures, and the Holy Ghost was able to teach me a lesson. I had this aha moment that was really incredible, and it's something that my mind has known for a long time, but my all of a sudden it connected with my heart and my mind, and the spirit was able to confirm to me what God wanted me to know. It could be a quiet feeling, a sense of peace, um, some clarity. And that's different than getting information online. It's it's more than that, it's guidance for your life. So this week try something intentional. When you're facing a decision, use tools, use AI, do whatever you do that way, ask Google, chat GPT. That's okay. Use those tools and gather information, but don't stop there. Keep going, pause, think about it, um, ponder some of those things, be still, and then ask, what does the spirit feel about this? How, what does God want me to know about this? And then listen. AI can give you answers, but the Holy Ghost will give you truth. One helps you to think, the other helps you to become. President Nelson said this in coming days, it will not be possible to survive to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost. It is so important that we learn how to use the Holy Ghost in our life, the Spirit. So important that we learn how he talks to us, how he speaks to us, to hear his voice, to hear him. And our prophet has told us that in the coming days we will not survive spiritually if we are not able to do that. And we have got to not get that confused with instant information. So, in a world full of noise, the most important voice that you will ever learn to recognize is the one that speaks quietly to your soul. It's not going to be on the screen on your computer, on your phone. It's not going to be from um other people, it's not in the opinions of your peers. It will be learning to recognize the the Holy Ghost and how he speaks to you. So this week, as you go forward, have understanding. Understand that God wants to talk to you, and he does that through the Holy Ghost. Choose to be believing, believe in him. He is bigger than us, he is, he knows more than us, he knows what's best for us and live extraordinary. This is exciting. This is amazing. I was, I've been reading a fantasy novel, and in there, it's funny because they talk about um as they're ascending that they have some of them get this ability to have foresight, to know things or directions to go or things to do, and they have this ability to understand things that they didn't understand quite before. And as I'm reading this in a fiction in a novel, it's been funny because I have thought often that is just like the Holy Ghost. He can teach us things that nobody else understands, or things that we need to look for in our future, or to give us an understanding of things as they really are. And it's not some fictitious thing. This is real in our lives. We have the opportunity to have a member of the Godhead with us to help us navigate through this crazy life and to become closer to our Savior and our Holy Father in the process. He has the ability to help us to become. So take advantage of that. Learn from him, seek for his advice, seek to be friends with him. Don't go to anyone. This is Hover Life. Thanks for being here, and I'll see you in the next episode.
