Hi friends, welcome and welcome back. Um, good morning, good afternoon whenever you are listening. Um, just wanna come on today actually kind of quickly because I told myself I wanted to get one of these out every single week and I realized today's Tuesday. So I ran inside, I still have my jacket on, um, I ran inside from taking the dog out, stole my coat on and wanted to jump on here. And actually it's really funny because of course, like, of course, the thing that I was thinking to discuss this week is exactly what's happening right now. And that is your intentionality behind doing something. And it's the, not only the how you do something, the why you're doing something, but the intention behind it. So just to explain a little bit about that, right? And like we say all the time, how we are in one thing is how we are in everything. So bringing the awareness around this in your life, right? Bringing the awareness around one thing in your life and how you're doing it and slightly tweaking that or changing that is going to change your whole entire life, right? As you start to bring this work to one or two pieces in your life, as you start to crack the surface on doing this work, as you start to get into this, you'll notice all other areas of your life get better, right? All of your other areas of your life change. And maybe not even get better, maybe they blow up or they crumble or whatever it is, but things are breaking away that you no longer need and your life is changing. So it's bringing that awareness around how, right? How you're doing things, your intention behind doing things, the why behind why you're doing something, right? And this is really the, the basis of kind of where to start with this. And it's something that's so simple, simple to think about, simple to see, but then the implementation is where the practice comes in, and then the implementing this and integrating this into your life is where the changes are going to happen, right? Okay. So for example, this morning, right, I said I was going to get one of, get a podcast out once a week. I remembered it last night, didn't have time, remembered it in the middle of the night right before I went to bed. I was like, okay, I'll do it in the morning, committing to it. And then this morning, mornings are always crazy and, you know, it can feel rushed. So I was like, okay, I have to get this done. So there right there is that mentality of having to get something done, right? Different than committing to something, planning the time to do it and doing it, difference between that than getting it done. And look, this is life. Like everyone's busy, there's things in life that you do have to do, right? You have to get certain things done. You have to, um, rush to do things cer- sometimes because that's just the way that it works. That's just the way that the world works. And though, if you're intentional about what you're doing, right? So I could have rushed in here, um, quickly just said something, finished it, and then, okay, I got done. Instead, I brought the awareness around it, not just because that's literally what this episode is about, but bringing the awareness and coming back to the why, remembering why I'm doing this, coming back to, okay, how am I going to go into this? What's my mindset and mind frame and how am I going to show up? And then the intention behind it, right? The intention is not to rush through. The intention is to deliver something meaningful, right? So there's, there's that and that plays into every other area of your life. And I like to give the example of eating, right? Eating is always a good, um, example of this because it can really go either way. So notice when, say those times, right, when we've all been there of mindless eating, when you're s- you're going into the kitchen cabinet or the refrigerator and you're standing there just eating something mindlessly, or you're rushing to eat something, not necessarily because you're rushing out the door or quickly doing that, that can happen as well, but also just eating just to eat or eating to like fulfill this need for something, right? So it's like you're not even thinking about it, it's not registering, you're just standing there eating. And for whatever reason, there's a lot of different reasons that can happen. There can be a deep need or emptiness that you can eat and, and overeat or have that, um, need for fulfillment for something. And I have been there. That could be a whole nother episode and topic with eating, eating disorders, disordered eating, right? And that all comes around the mindset of your intention behind it. Are you eating because you need and want nourishment or are you eating because you need to be fulfilled or you need to satisfy some type of anxiety or anxious feelings or need to be bored or distract your mind, right? There's all very different intentions behind it. Okay? There's a difference between going into the fridge, grabbing a piece of chocolate cake and shoving it quickly down your face and then throwing the, in the, the rest in the trash. Very, very different than intentionally deciding that you want to eat that piece of chocolate cake, going into the fridge, getting it, putting it on a plate, sitting down, eating it, and savoring every bite and enjoying every bite. There's a huge difference. So what are you going to Think about this too, like, what are you going to get more out of in the long run? What are you going to get more out of? You will actually enjoy the piece of chocolate cake. If you're sitting down, savoring it, maybe even only having a couple bites, you would get more out of it because you're actually tasting it. You're actually enjoying it. You're actually doing it. Whereas if you're mindlessly doing it for the wrong reasons or quickly doing it or just eating just to eat or eating to fulfill some other type of need, right? That's a huge difference. And are you going to get anything out of it? Right? You might not even remember you had it. Or, or you'll feel guilty about it. "Oh, I shouldn't have done that, and then you'll, you'll beat yourself up for the rest of the day about it. "It's very specific that intention behind what you're doing. And you can use another perfect example is working out, right? So getting up in the morning, quickly rushing through your workout because you have to get it done, thinking about being done the whole time you're doing it, so you're not present, you're rushing through it, you're quickly doing it, you're not in your body, you're not in your muscles, you're not in your breath, quickly doing your workout, but you got your workout done. And yes, s- again, sometimes this happens. Sometimes we're rushed. I'm not saying don't do it and don't commit to the things that you're committed to just because sometimes you can't be fully present and high vibey and intentional, right? That's not going to happen all the time. It's just, again, bringing the awareness to this and to how you do things and to your intention behind them, because it's so easy in this life right now to rush through everything just to get things done or to do a million things thinking we have to do all those things when we really don't need to be doing all those things. It's just fulfillment. It's fulfilling some type of void. Okay? So big difference there. So the workout. So coming back to that, you can go through your morning and quickly rush through that, or you can maybe even do less of a workout, less time, but you're extremely intentional about what you're doing. You're breathing, you're present, you're focusing on your muscles, right? You're doing the actual movements, not just rushing through. Huge difference there, right? So are we seeing these examples and how these play into every other area of our life, right? And we can use these things for everything else. You can use it for conversations. You can use it for, um, relationships, right? You can use it for just your daily, the way you go about your daily life. And again, it doesn't have to be this huge, big, um, change. It's just these practicing and implementing these little things throughout your day, throughout your life that start to then trickle into every other area of your life, right? It's like that, um, what do you call it when you throw a stone, the ripple effect, right? It's starting to ripple into every other area of your life. And it works both ways. If you have this need within you to fulfill something, and it's, it's this deep rooted need that comes from inside of you, that's where that's coming from, that inside of you, then that's going to trickle into other areas. So you're going to be quickly eating. You're going to be, um, rushing through things. You're going to be, like, feeling like you have to do a million things and squeeze thousands of things into your schedule because you're trying to get yourself fulfilled. You're going to feel like you need to have all these different relationships and going out there and packing your schedule and doing everything and because you have this need to fulfill something within you becau- or because you are trying to distract yourself from feeling certain things. And that's very common right now because there's so many distractions, so many distractions out there that you're trying to distract from actually feeling certain things or from actually working through certain things in your life, right? There's different reasons. And again, that's the deeper work, okay? The deeper work is going in and doing that shadow work. The deeper work is going in and doing that inner work, that inner healing, and that's where that all comes from. That's what we want to really get to is the root of that, because there's a meaning for that, there's a reason for that. There's a why, like, why we are doing that, and that's the shadow, that's the shadow work for later, right? But first, by starting to bring the awareness to how we're going about certain things, our intentionality behind certain things, because that's bringing that awareness to that, to those little things is then how And another, it's another access point of how we get to the deeper work and how we start to do the deeper work, right? So starting with those little things, noticing, bringing the awareness around your intention behind things, your intention behind how you're doing these little things, why you're doing certain things, and how you're showing up, bringing that awareness around that, and then that can start to get us to that deeper inner work. Okay, guys. I think I hit on everything with the examples. Hopefully that landed. So again, try to see if you can pick, you know, even one thing. Notice how you're eating this week, or know it, notice how you're, you're working out, or notice your relationships, how you are, your conversations, how you're being in conversation with other people, because this is another quick example as well, but it's, um, your conversations with people, if you are looking them in the eye, if you're allowing yourself to be seen, if you're saying things just to get them to like you, or you're saying things for them, not saying things that are actually authentic, there's a huge difference there, right? And that's, again, how you're showing up there is how you're showing up other places. So there's all these little things that we can begin to see and start to notice this intention behind how we're doing something is then how we are doing everything, right? Okay, guys, hope this landed. Um, I would love to hear from you. So if you want to reach out through Instagram, I will put that in the bottom. And if there's anything that you're working on, working through, if you'd like an episode touched on, um, I would love to hear about that as well. All right? So bring some intention to your day and we'll talk soon. All right. Bye.
