SPEAKER_00

Episode 23.

SPEAKER_03

That is so crazy.

SPEAKER_00

I'm actually shocked we've made it this far.

SPEAKER_03

No, like honestly, same.

SPEAKER_00

But it's fun.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. I think it's so fun.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's fun. It's way better doing in person though, too.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah. It's way more fun in person. There's no like weird delay. Yeah. The screen doesn't get like all blurry.

SPEAKER_00

How many times we've had to deal with stupid technical issues. Yeah, it's it's so annoying.

SPEAKER_03

It is annoying. I like it in person. I think it's more fun.

SPEAKER_00

It's way better. But this is gonna be an interesting one. Some good updates, some dramas happening.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. What's the drama?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I was gonna say with you for some my mom's even getting on the drama. She is mad at you. She's not mad.

SPEAKER_03

She's not mad, but she's just like a little bugged.

SPEAKER_00

She's like, I'm I need to, I'm not gonna give too much like she's not gonna give her two cents anymore because she's like, she doesn't want to force you to do something you don't want to do, but she's also like you're gonna get ripped off on buying a horse. That's what she thinks. She thinks these people are gonna be laughing at you when they buy when you buy this old horse for this expensive price.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and I don't know for sure if I'm buying it. I I went and looked at her, rode her one time. I'm going to look at two other horses next week, a third horse the week after that. So I'm I'm still keeping my options open. Like, I'm not like dead set yet. But I do really like her. She's very, very well trained. And so, like, your mom is like, you don't have like that much like longevity with an older horse. Um, especially for what they're asking for her. It's kind of crazy, but they get they do that because her bloodlines are amazing. She's very well trained, and because she's a girl, say in two or three years, I'm like, okay, I need a younger horse. I can get one of her babies.

SPEAKER_00

You're so you're really playing the long game.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Like this is I would love to do that.

SPEAKER_00

You're think about that though. Because if you have this horse for I don't know, a couple years, then you have a baby, and then that's another 30 years of that horse.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So, like, that horse is gonna be brown pretty much the rest of your life. I mean, and some more years, but that's kind of crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And that's what you want to do.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Well, I hope your husband's on board. Gotta find a country boy.

SPEAKER_03

He better be. He doesn't have to be a comp a country boy. It's just you just have to be able to maintain the horseiness.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so what what are you gonna do? You guys are getting really serious. You about to get engaged, but he's like, we gotta get rid of the horse.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

Because okay, what if he's like, I need to move? What if he wants to do he has to go to business school?

SPEAKER_03

That's fine.

SPEAKER_00

Or he wants to.

SPEAKER_03

The horse doesn't have to come with us. The horse can stay in Utah.

SPEAKER_00

So you would just fly in to visit the horse.

SPEAKER_03

Well, no, I mean, yes. Okay, but like if I was in like your position, like your your Megan's position, where like you had to like be gone for two years or whatever, I would keep the horse in Utah and like let like my barn, they have like a really big lesson program.

SPEAKER_05

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

And I would just like let them use it in their lessons. Cause I mean, it's like girls like me, little kids, like I'm in this barrel camp right now. I was telling Shannon.

SPEAKER_05

No way.

SPEAKER_03

I'm in this barrel camp with like three 12-year-olds.

SPEAKER_06

No way.

SPEAKER_03

And it's so fun. Like, I love them. Like they're the cutest girls.

SPEAKER_00

It's good for you. That's good.

SPEAKER_03

And so it's just like cute girls like that just like want to learn how to ride a horse.

SPEAKER_00

That's cool to let them use your horse.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And so, like, I would do that. And then wherever we end up, the horse will be coming with me wherever I end up. Whether that's Utah, Dallas, Dallas, Florida, Arizona, who knows? Arizona. Anywhere.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, that makes more sense.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But that is a major commitment.

SPEAKER_03

It is.

SPEAKER_00

But I also think you want to find a guy that's going to be against it. Like he wouldn't get serious with you if he was already going to be super against this horse thing.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know what I mean? But you guys want to be a good fit.

SPEAKER_03

And if somebody, like, if anybody makes me like change. Like you guys like make fun of me, but like I know you guys are like happy that I have like a passion and a hobby that like I love and whatever. Like, you guys don't really care, but like you guys like to tease me about it. But like, if anybody thought that, like, like, ew, that's so weird. Why are you doing that? Like, what a waste of time. I wouldn't even give them the time of day.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_03

So, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But now it's funny, so you're doing a barrel camp right now.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

With three other 12-year-olds.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I actually do have a lot of respect for you that you don't care. A lot of people would be like, embarrassed. Like, oh, I can't do that. Like, that's embarrassing.

SPEAKER_03

No, and these girls have been writing their entire life. So they know a lot more than I do.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And like they're just like fun to talk to. And actually, we made the connection that Taylor went to high school and played on his high school basketball team with their dad.

SPEAKER_01

That's so funny. And so you're like, oh, I have a crush on Taylor.

SPEAKER_03

I do not have a crush on Taylor. You have got to stop saying that. People are gonna think you're serious.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, sorry. I'll stop. I'll stop.

SPEAKER_03

No, I he's just he's my brother.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And it's like when when girls are like, I want to marry somebody like my dad. I get I want to marry somebody like Taylor, like you, like Drew.

SPEAKER_00

Like I'm just teasing. I got it.

SPEAKER_03

If I could like morph Michael Taylor Drew, you into one person.

SPEAKER_00

That's the one.

SPEAKER_03

That's the guy.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you're gonna find them. Near find them.

SPEAKER_03

I actually, I actually like kind of have a dilemma that I want to pick your brain about.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no, what?

SPEAKER_03

So Okay.

SPEAKER_00

For people that are wondering why we're pausing, there's someone doing some uh there's like a maintenance guy here doing, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And he's been here for hours, and we're like, Wow, like when are you gonna leave?

SPEAKER_00

He's just hanging out.

SPEAKER_03

Like, I went to my horse lesson, was at my horse lesson for almost two hours this morning, came back, he's still here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he's just been like hanging out. Okay, anyway, we can't be talking about it.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway, um what was I saying?

SPEAKER_00

The dilemma that you have to pick my brain about it.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay, yes, okay.

SPEAKER_00

You sure you want to share this right now?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I don't know. What do you think? I don't know what it's about. You don't know it what it's about.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, we can always cut it.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. So I saw this guy and I was like, he is so cute. Like my type to a T.

SPEAKER_00

Which I don't know what your type is, but I want to see a picture of him.

SPEAKER_03

He's darling.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you. That gives me nothing, but keep going.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'll show you a picture after.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

So I'm I see him, I'm like, oh my gosh, like he is so cute. I need to like find him on Instagram. So I go find him on Instagram, and I have like a bunch of mutual friends. And so I message my good friend, and I was like, You should set me up with him. And she was like, Oh my gosh, yes, of course. Like, I'll write him right now. So she's like sending me screenshots of like what she's saying to him, and she's like, Hey, are you single? I have this like really cute girl I want to set you up with. And he was like, Yeah, set me up. Like, who is it? Send me her Instagram.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

So she sends him my Instagram, and he's like, Oh ha ha. Like somebody tried to set me up with her before and she ghosted me. And like we messaged back and forth, and then I asked her out and she never responded. So my friend screenshot it and sent it to me, and she was like, What the actual F is wrong with you?

SPEAKER_00

Wait, you did this?

SPEAKER_03

No, so so just just listen. And I was like, I I was like, no, I've never seen this guy before in my life. I've never heard of him. I know his friends.

SPEAKER_00

That's weird.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, like I know a lot of the same people that he knows, but I'm like, I would remember him because I think he is so cute.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And I was like, there's no way. So she sends me his number. I'm like searching in my text for like his name, his number, and I don't delete any of my text messages. I still have all my text messages from high school.

SPEAKER_00

That's insane.

SPEAKER_03

So I'm searching, there's nothing. I'm like, no, there's no way. Like, I don't have one message from him.

SPEAKER_00

Someone pretending to be you.

SPEAKER_03

So that's what I thought. I was like, or maybe he was texting the wrong number and like the person like was just like playing along. Cause I've seen TikToks where it's like, yeah, yeah, somebody gives like a fake number and then they're like talk about how I did that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they like play along. Yeah. And I was like, no, like he didn't, he did not message me. So then I'm like, I'm gonna go through my Instagram and see if he messaged me on there. Because I mean, like, not to put myself on blast, but like I have been known to ghost some people.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And also you have like a thousand under text messages, but anyway, keep going.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so I'm going through my Instagram and I I search his name, nothing's coming up. I'm like, hey, what the heck? So then I go to his profile and I click like message, a request that I never saw from 2021. And I was like, shit. And it was like, hey, like, I'd love to take you out if you're up for it. And when I saw it, my heart sank. I was sick, but he told my friend, like, yeah, we messaged back and forth. I'm like, well, we didn't message back and forth because it's still sitting in my request.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So she she messaged him and she was like, she went through her phone. Like, I asked her, and she said that you must have the wrong number or something because like she doesn't have any text from you. And he was like, Oh, ha ha ha, weird. I don't know. And she was like, Here's her number. Like, you guys should go out. Like, I think you guys would get along.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And he saw it, and that was like three days ago. So he hasn't messaged me. So I'm texting my friend, and I'm like, hey, like, no, I really want to go out with him. Yeah. Because I think he's so cute.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So I'm like, do I A, she sent me his number. So do I A, just like text him, or do I B like follow him on Instagram and respond to his message and be like, I am so sorry. I'm just seeing this, but I would I would love to go out with you.

SPEAKER_00

I think B.

SPEAKER_03

That's kind of what I'm thinking.

SPEAKER_00

This this reminds me of Megan and I.

SPEAKER_03

That's what Megan said to me in the bathroom when we were getting ready.

SPEAKER_00

That sounds exactly how I shot my shot, did not get a response, but a couple years later, yeah, the message gets seen and it all works out.

SPEAKER_03

I know. Isn't that wild though?

SPEAKER_00

That is unfortunate for that guy. But I know I think if you just this is what I would do.

SPEAKER_03

Should we do it right now?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, open it up.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And go to the message and just be like, I don't know. I don't know if I would bring up your friend. Just be like, L O L, yes, just seeing, I'm just seeing this now, but yes, I'm free.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, just saw this.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. Sorry, my phone was dead. Yeah, yes. Make it some something funny like that.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, what's his name?

SPEAKER_00

And then then send that. Okay, so just no, don't do the text thing. I think the text thing's like, I don't know. He's gonna see this.

SPEAKER_03

So do I follow him or should I just respond to his message?

SPEAKER_00

I think follow him. Okay, I just requested and send the message now.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So it's like the double whammy, like that'll show that you're serious.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like you really want to go out with him. But so what else did he say in the text? Like he was saying like he liked you, like he thought you were cute, would want to go out with you.

SPEAKER_03

He all he said was, oh ha ha, like I tried to take her out and she ghosted me.

SPEAKER_00

Oh and so then my- So then he's a little embarrassed. That's like me.

SPEAKER_03

And that and that that's what I told my friend. I was like, I think I need to like reach out because like his pride has probably hurt.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

And like, yeah, so I okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

So I would say so because this reminds me with Megan, because if Megan would have like been talking to one of my friends then telling me that, I would have been embarrassed because I DM'd you and didn't get a response or DM her. So I'd be a little slow to text you too. Yeah, all makes sense.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, and I told I I get why he hasn't, but I'm like annoyed because I really want to go out with him.

SPEAKER_00

I hope he listens to this.

SPEAKER_03

I hope he doesn't.

SPEAKER_00

But no, it's good because there's no point in playing games anymore.

SPEAKER_03

I know, I know. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So, okay.

SPEAKER_03

Um sorry, just saw this.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, sorry just saw this. Uh like say like my phone was dead. Lol. Something funny. Like I because that's who you are. You're funny. Um, and then I would say I would still love to go out with you if you would, or something like that, if you want. Um and then what I want to- I was gonna say something. Um yeah, I don't know. But I think something like that. I think this is this is gonna be good.

SPEAKER_03

Sure, I'd still love to go out if you're up for it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And you know he's for sure still single.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, 100%.

SPEAKER_00

How old is he?

SPEAKER_03

29. So it's like either 29 or 30.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, cool.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, I sent it.

SPEAKER_00

Watch it, all of this comes from this live on the podcast to your your future husband. Okay, wait, we need to chat. Oh, that would be crazy. We gotta take that out. That would be crazy. Okay, um, I like it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I like it because it it genuinely reminded me of myself. Because I've been in those shoes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I think he's just a little embarrassed.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and I'm sure, because uh my friend wasn't like she told me to set you up with her. So I'm sure he's like, Does she even want to? She didn't say that. She was just like, I have a friend I want to set you up with. But she wasn't like Amy told me to reach out to you. So I'm sure he's like, Well, what if I text her and she doesn't respond again?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he doesn't know if you you're really into it or not. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So I think this is good, hopefully.

SPEAKER_00

I think this is good. No, I've been playing a turn and report. You've been way more outgoing and willing to just like send it recently.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because it's kind of like, who cares?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, who cares?

SPEAKER_00

What are they gonna say no? Then you're in the same spot as before.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, I was a little devastated at the other one.

SPEAKER_00

That one was weird.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, and this is why Rachel calls it a crush because you you feel a little crushed when they like don't when you feel like they're not into you.

SPEAKER_00

I don't miss this whole side of dating.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and so I thought I was a little crushed from my crush. That one was weird when I shot my shot, and he was like so backstory. We'll see.

SPEAKER_00

I kind of made I sent the message for Amy and I kind of forced her to shoot a shot.

SPEAKER_03

Well, because I like kind of like I responded to his story.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you had already kind of I had already like slid in and like put some feelers out, but like it wasn't the best job.

SPEAKER_03

And so Zach was like on Sunday dinner, Emily and Zach were like, no, we're like we're doing this.

SPEAKER_00

Let's just do it.

SPEAKER_03

And so yeah, we DM'd him and was like, we were But then he responded immediately, yeah. He did, but then it was like, uh, we'll see. And I was like, oh okay, well, yeah, I was like, all right, well, another one.

SPEAKER_00

You just send him your number, like, all right, let me know, right? Yeah, that's so weird, yeah, so weird. Anyway, um anything else going on?

SPEAKER_03

Other than dating and horses, that's all my life is right now.

SPEAKER_00

Why do you have double band-aids going?

SPEAKER_03

You notice that?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I'm a barrel camp.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Barrel. Just working so hard, getting blisters.

SPEAKER_03

Uh yeah. The horse that I ride, his reins are ropes. And so when you're like pulling them around, when you're like pulling the reins around to get them to go around the barrel, sometimes like the rope and like your hands a little sweaty and the reins will like for it. Yeah, so I just got like some rope burns, but I picked at the scab, so then I had to put band-aids over, so I would stop picking.

SPEAKER_00

Oh well, yeah. You asked me to get a band-aid or to get a napkin, and know what that reminded me of? No, I know what you're gonna say, and like it's the funniest story ever. But it's actually embarrassing for me too. Like, what was I doing?

SPEAKER_03

You were like still like trying to like new to the family. Because you guys had only been married at that point for like what a a year?

SPEAKER_00

Not even, not even, maybe just over a year. I think it was our second Christmas.

SPEAKER_03

Let's see when it was, like when it actually was.

SPEAKER_00

So this is what happened. We are here at your house, and it's probably like midnight or 1 a.m.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So we would always during the breaks, we would stay up super late playing cards. Yeah. Was it cover your assets? No, it was Shanghai.

SPEAKER_03

Shanghai.

SPEAKER_00

It's just this simple card game, and we would play for hours.

SPEAKER_03

Like it was just me, you and Megan too.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Like, and normally, like with Shanghai, at least like how me and my friends play, like, you're with at least like five people.

SPEAKER_00

No, it was just the three.

SPEAKER_03

It was just the three of us.

SPEAKER_00

And we play for so long, just laughing. It was a good time, it was fun. And some of my best pictures of you would come to those nights. Because you look, you'd be looking at it.

SPEAKER_03

It was it was rough. I was looking real rough.

SPEAKER_00

I'll have to put some on here. But anyway, so we're playing. I don't even remember what happened and what joke or whatever I said. It made you laugh.

SPEAKER_06

I was laughing so hard.

SPEAKER_00

She was laughing so hard, and all of a sudden, I just hear water falling onto the ground. Amy just full on peas all over the ground. Well, not even a little bit though. You didn't, it wasn't just like a little bit of a little bit more.

SPEAKER_03

It was a full bladder's worth.

SPEAKER_00

It started coming and you said epic and you let the all of it go.

SPEAKER_03

No, okay.

SPEAKER_00

You made a conscious decision.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my gosh, she will not stop calling me. Who? Emily. And my phone's on, do not disturb. Okay, anyway. Okay, if backstory.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, sure.

SPEAKER_03

The girls in my family, we don't have like the strongest bladders. Like growing up, if I laughed with my friends, 10 out of 10, I was peeing my pants.

SPEAKER_00

Just laughing?

SPEAKER_03

Just laughing. Like if somebody made a really funny joke that I thought was hilarious and I started laughing really hard, I'd pee. And like once a little comes out, you can't stop it. And so that's kind of what happened. We were like drinking Diet Coke all night, and then you made me laugh. And like I peed just like a little bit, and then it just like at that point, I was like, But then and so also, I didn't have any control over it.

SPEAKER_00

There's during this time. Oh my gosh. This guy, um, so your mom was also there's a couple times her kids had spilt some drinks.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah. And she would always be, you know, my floors, my basement. She thought it would like seep in the two seconds it spilled, she thought it was gonna seep through the floors into the basement and like ruin the ceiling.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and so okay, I'm new to the family, trying to be nice. Yeah, Amy runs upstairs to go deal with herself.

SPEAKER_03

I got in the shower, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I don't know where Megan went with you too, for some reason.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she did.

SPEAKER_00

And so I'm more down there just sitting with a pile of pea on the ground. I'm like, F me, I guess I better clean this up because it's sitting there and I didn't want to. Shannon is finding the pile of pea on the ground, and so I went and got some towels and cleaned up Amy's pea.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you were a really nice brother-in-law, and then that was I'm actually shocked I did that. And then I came down and it was all cleaned up, and then we kept playing. I like moved to the chair and I was like, I'll use a new one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was insane.

SPEAKER_03

That was so funny.

SPEAKER_00

Those were good times though. We had there's like a couple Christmases in a row. It was just like every night we would just play.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, because you guys did not have kids yet.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, escapri would say we were fun back then.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, Capri says that when you have kids you become boring because you like don't want to do stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I just want to go back to sleep. But that was funny. Um, sorry, random story there. What else? Anything else going on? Um I can tell you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you go, you go, you tell us about your week.

SPEAKER_00

Let's see. Um home. Demolition has started.

SPEAKER_03

I am so excited.

SPEAKER_00

Uh like just even seeing it, yeah, looks so much better.

SPEAKER_03

Seeing like what they've ripped out already, I'm like, dang, that's gonna look good.

SPEAKER_00

We've had a lot of drama with it um with the house, as we talked about last week. We also had someone go and search for a septic tank.

SPEAKER_01

So did you find it?

SPEAKER_00

Hear me out. So the lady that we bought it from, I'm sorry, freaking psycho. At first, I thought she was nice, and unfortunately, I thought she was nice up until the house became ours, and now I've learned freaking liar about so many things.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's rough.

SPEAKER_00

Um, one thing she did not, she we got a home inspection done, and but then after she was like, No more home inspections because I want to do an electrical one, I want to do a septank one, yeah, and a couple others just to make sure everything was which isn't crazy, like you always get your home the home inspection done when you're

SPEAKER_03

Buying a new house, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I was a little too trusting because I don't know, whatever.

SPEAKER_03

She tugged on your heartstrings, she she played you like a fiddle, she did a great job of it, and I learned my lesson.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, so we didn't do uh septic septic tank inspection because she didn't want anything tinkered with that was gonna mess it up because everything's been perfect while she was there, right? And I was like, whatever. So they gave us like a credit though back. They give us a credit to get a home uh inspection done and to get it drained. So anyway, I send some people out there to go do it because we're not there right now, and the guy went and searched for like an hour and a half at the end of his day, couldn't find the septic tank, goes back the next morning, searches for another like hour and a half, two hours, can't find the septic tank anywhere.

SPEAKER_03

And so were you like worried that there was no septic tank?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I was actually like, maybe this is good because I would actually love not to have a septic tank because then we don't have to get it drained, and then it just runs through the public sewage.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But no, it then I called the city and they're like, oh, there is a septic tank. So then I don't know what to do. I was worried it was buried in her cement, which still might be. Long story short, I was able to get the plans from the city. It was like this document from 1985, kind of crazy. Um, so that was some drama.

SPEAKER_03

But you found it.

SPEAKER_00

We found it, we think. The guys are going there to drain it tomorrow. Okay, so praying everything goes well. Um, hopefully there's nothing wrong with it. And then, so that was a big deal. Um the home of demolition, though, is going very fast. Like they got it all done yesterday and put up new wall, a new wall, door, windows. It looks really good, and we're excited because it's so much more open. So it's gonna be way way better for us.

SPEAKER_03

Um it's gonna look like a brand new house.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean better, as much as we're doing. It's gonna be cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'm excited for you guys.

SPEAKER_00

Getting your bedroom all fixed up so when you come stack, that'll be good. Um, but yeah, that's kind of it with the house. Trying to think if there's anything crazy happening. They did find a little bit of water buildup. Uh-oh. It was kind of moldy, but not really. He didn't say it was mold, he just said it was kind of like back up from the water, so they can have to put a new drain in the part of the one part of the yard so it doesn't like pile or puddle up next to the house, I guess. But it made it seem like it wasn't a big deal. So I'm actually very relieved because I was worried they're gonna like rip out everything and find a bunch of mold in the house or something. Yeah, um, that was it. Um then we did go to Yellowstone.

SPEAKER_03

How was that?

SPEAKER_00

Went with my parents, it was it was a lot of fun, but it's crazy how you can drive five hours from here and be in like a completely different climate. It was so freaking cold.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, didn't it snow?

SPEAKER_00

Literally snowed our last day there.

SPEAKER_03

That was so wild because it was like so hot here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But we so my parents love to drive. Yeah, love to drive. And I don't mind it, but with a four-year-old and a two-year-old sitting in the back, it can get tough because they start screaming, and then when you have a migraine on top of that with them screaming in a car, it just like kills me. Yeah, and so but in order to like Yellowstone, you have to drive drive around a lot to like see everything, look for animals. But anyway, on the way up there, we're going, and we're probably four hours into it, and we're probably an hour left. And Weston and look back, and he's like looking pale. And uh he's known, well, he's not known, but he gets a little car sick.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He's done it a couple times, and he's thrown up once, and I was like, I do not want to deal with like our car like covered in throw up. Yeah, our car was so packed because it was all of us, six of us, in this car, and it was like full to the ceiling everywhere with stuff, and it was crazy. And um, so Weston starts getting really pale, and I could kind of see he starts like whining a little bit. Yeah, he doesn't feel good, and I was like, I think we need to pull over. And my dad was like, No, why would we pull over? He's like, What are we gonna do? Just walk around? I was like, Yeah, like he needs to get out of the backseat, yeah, because he's been trapped in there for a while. He's like, No, we only have like an hour left until we get out. I was like, No, like we need to get out. I don't want to deal with him throwing up all over the back with all of our stuff back, yeah. And so it was a big fight of like just pulling over, and then we get pull over, and obviously nothing happens, but you can I could see the color go back into his face. But uh, you know, that wasn't very satisfying for for my dad because yeah, I bet he was like, really, we pulled over for nothing.

SPEAKER_03

See, I told you we should have kept driving, and then we got Megan got a Diet Coke, and and I got a sprite for Weston.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, What are we doing? Getting treats for what? What are we getting treats for? I was like, he needed a drink, and Megan just wanted to die coke, it's not that big of a deal. Yeah, and it was like, no, what are you what are we doing? Like, come on, and he's like, he kept saying, He's like, we need to toughen them up.

SPEAKER_03

I was like, he does say that all the time. It's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, no, I'm not trying to toughen them up on vacation, we're going camping, not trying to toughen them up, yeah. Anyway, so that was the drama, but other than that, it was fun.

SPEAKER_03

How much did you guys bicker? I asked Megan and she was like, she was like, I really don't think they did, or I just like completely have learned to like tune them out that I don't hear it anymore.

SPEAKER_00

Literally, just on the way out for like that one thing, and then other than that, it was fine. We didn't really bicker too much.

SPEAKER_03

I love when you guys bicker, I think it's hilarious.

SPEAKER_00

You're annoying that you think you love that because you just love to hear me get all mad.

SPEAKER_03

I think it's so funny.

SPEAKER_00

Who do you think I bicker with like that in your family? Just you?

SPEAKER_03

Uh probably me and Emily.

SPEAKER_00

Emily gets offended though.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she does.

SPEAKER_00

She takes it to heart.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She doesn't know I'm just kidding. Like sometimes she'd like to.

SPEAKER_03

No, she thinks you're serious.

SPEAKER_00

She I know she'll text Megan and be like, Zach hates me. Like, legit.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh. I'm just and you're like, no, I thought we were just like going back and forth a little bit.

SPEAKER_00

Like, sometimes is there a little bit of truth in it? Sure. But like never, I never hate someone over it. You know what I mean? Someone can get a little annoying.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we all can.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But anyway.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, I'm sure I do things that piss her off all the time. Do I care? No.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you piss me off all the time too.

SPEAKER_03

And and do I care? No.

SPEAKER_00

I know. I know you don't care. Um, anything else? Any other updates? And know what I hate? That no one just made me so mad right there. What is I'm starting to say anything else, like you all.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, because we're all like what else? No, we say what else.

SPEAKER_00

That's true. We say what else?

SPEAKER_03

Or like what's the other one that we say? We say what else, or we say what else is happening, or yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's it. Okay. Yeah, but you guys say like every five seconds. But I feel like I'm saying it every five seconds. Um, but no, okay. Someone wrote in with a great suggestion.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

They said we should do a segment called what chaps my ass or your ass.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I love it. I love it. I love that my phrase is like catching on and we're now making it a segment.

SPEAKER_00

I think it should be a good segment. So every we can just talk about things that are chapping our ass. Yeah, that are annoying.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, you start.

SPEAKER_03

What I'm gonna check my DMs while you tell us what's trapping your ass lately.

SPEAKER_00

Any updates, sir? But let's see, let's refresh. What's chapping my ass? Okay. Megan's not gonna like this.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, let's hear it.

SPEAKER_00

It's not mean. This isn't meant to be mean any of the update. Nothing. No. Okay, not to be mean towards Megan. It's just, I feel like this is just like a husband-wife thing. She like sometimes I just want her to tell me the full truth. Because Megan doesn't ever want to like hurt my feelings.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So the other day we're talking, and I'm like, I'm getting fat. I need to lose some pounds. She's like, no, no, no, no, no. You look great. Like, you look awesome, you look amazing, you look so hot, blah, blah, blah. You don't need to lose any weight. And then, like, a little bit later, she's like, you know what? I could lose a few pounds too. And I'm like, what? So you think I'm fat, then I could lose a few pounds.

SPEAKER_03

And she was like, Well, I said me too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. She's like, Oh no, it's not what I meant. Like, it's not meant to say you're fat. It's just saying, like, I could lose some weight too. Like, what are you talking about? That means you're saying I'm fat and then I need to lose some weight, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So that really chaps my ass. Because she tends she does that a lot with a lot of things. Where, like, even at the beginning, when we were first dating, I went to the Lululemon. I go get this shirt. I'm I love this shirt. Like, I thought it was the coolest shirt ever. And I took a picture, sent it to Megan, and I was in the dressing room. And I was like, what do you think about this? Like, should I get it? Which is kind of crazy. This was like before this was before our first date.

SPEAKER_03

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's kind of wild.

SPEAKER_03

That is wild.

SPEAKER_00

So anyway, she's like, Yeah, it looks great. I get it. Come to find out, like three weeks later, I find out from one of you or something, she was making fun of the shirt to everybody, to you, to your mom, because you all hated the shirt. And I wore that on our first date. And I thought I was so cool. Why? She does that all the time.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because she she wants to be supportive and she doesn't want to hurt your feelings. Well, especially like you guys hadn't even gone on your first date. What is she gonna be like, no, that shirt is fugly?

SPEAKER_00

But no, she still does the same thing to this day.

SPEAKER_03

No, I know. But it's because yeah, she doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

SPEAKER_00

She is like it's a good thing. Like she is the nicest. And yeah, she dev she always wants to be like, she doesn't want to sway my like what I like to be what she likes, type of thing, but at the same time, like close.

SPEAKER_03

But then like she agrees, yes, and you're like, yeah, just like say that you agree.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I always find it like out six months later, like what the true thoughts are.

SPEAKER_03

No, my favorite was when we were in Virginia and we were in the rental car, and we were me and Megan were sitting there, and you got out of the car, and she goes, Wait, did you have you told me this? She goes, Wow, the car like really like lifted up after Zach got out, and I was like, dang, girl. Like you were like weighing it down.

SPEAKER_06

You're like, gosh dang.

SPEAKER_03

Like, but like I felt it too, like literally, like the car was like here, and then you got out and it was like, you guys were such dang.

SPEAKER_00

I hate you.

SPEAKER_03

And she was like, wow, really lifted up when he got out.

SPEAKER_00

You're so mean. So mean.

SPEAKER_03

It was so funny.

SPEAKER_00

So you guys are saying I'm fat.

SPEAKER_03

No, I don't think you're fat.

SPEAKER_00

A little bit.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

Like ever looked at have you ever looked at me and been like, damn, he needs to lose some weight?

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

Would you are you being like Megan though, right now?

SPEAKER_03

No, like I used to. I don't know if I can say this.

SPEAKER_00

Say it.

SPEAKER_03

I used to call Drew Doughboy. Because like he he wasn't fat, but like he was just like a little doughy. Yeah. You know?

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

He just had a dad bot. It's a dad bot. It's the typical dad bot.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And like, I mean, Rachel even says this, like with every pregnancy, like Rachel gained weight and Drew gained weight.

SPEAKER_00

That happens with everybody, though.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because it's like Rachel has Rachel or Megan has like a craving, and then like you just eat garbage for nine months, right? Yes, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

And so it's being supportive.

SPEAKER_03

This was like right after they had Ford.

SPEAKER_06

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

So, like, you know, he still had the baby weight on.

unknown

The baby.

SPEAKER_06

Wow, there's a reasonable.

SPEAKER_03

And he asked me, he was like, Do you think I'm like a little chubby? And I was like, I don't think you're chubby. I just think you're like you're just like a little dough. No, because he's not chubby. He's just like a little doughy.

SPEAKER_00

He's never been chubby.

SPEAKER_03

No, yeah. He's just he was just like a little doughy. It's like, could you maybe tighten it up a little bit? Sure. But like anybody can. But like now, I can't even call him dough boy because I think ever since then he was like, I don't want her calling me doughboy anymore. And he's been hitting the gym hard.

SPEAKER_00

See, that's what I'm looking for though. Like sometimes I'm when I'm saying, like, am I fat? I'm looking for like, okay, yeah, you're a little fat. Because that's like motivation to be like, all right, I need to lose some weight.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'm never gonna be like, yeah, you're fat, but like, could everybody use a gym session? Yeah, including myself.

SPEAKER_00

This is like Megan saying, um, I mean, I can lose a few pounds too.

SPEAKER_03

So you're saying because we all could, you know, we could all be better. We could all go to the gym.

SPEAKER_00

No, you I think every one of the females in this house and in this family are borderline too skinny.

SPEAKER_03

Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

So, like, I don't think you all could lose any more weight.

SPEAKER_03

I wouldn't know just like when I say like go to the gym, I mean like tighten it up, like get toned, get some muscle, gym sessions, like not to get skinnier. I mean any girl would love to get skinnier, but yes, like I do need to tone it up. Yeah, I've been really slacking lately. Yeah, but the horse lessons, I mean you gotta use some muscles for that, and that's why I like kind of stopped going to the gym because I've been riding so much that that's like a whole lot of inner thigh stuff, and it's a lot of leg and core, yeah. Like when I like I've ridden every single day this week and I am so sore. See, that's good, which is amazing, but then like I'm not doing like any upper body.

SPEAKER_00

I could definitely do more core to make my core stronger for when I go ride the horse, but anyway, that was I just don't want to, yeah. So that's what's what's been chapping my ass. Yeah. I just want Megan to tell me the full truth. You know? So what's been chapping your ass?

SPEAKER_03

Something that's been chapping my ass lately. Um, I mean, dating. Like dating is always chopping my ass, and it will always chop my ass until I stop dating and get married. Um, the other thing that really, really is chapping my ass right now is um this couple just got married in this famous castle in Normandy.

SPEAKER_00

Who's the couple?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know their names.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And it was like probably like a $50 million wedding.

SPEAKER_00

$50 million.

SPEAKER_03

And it's the first couple, it's the first person get to get married in that castle in over a thousand years.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, how did they pull that off?

SPEAKER_03

They're billionaires.

SPEAKER_00

Holy cow.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so maybe we're and so it's really chopping my ass that like I'm not a billionaire, and I can't have like a $50 million wedding inside a Normandy castle. And I that I don't have a husband.

SPEAKER_06

Wow.

SPEAKER_03

Or a fiance that will take me to a castle.

SPEAKER_00

Hmm.

SPEAKER_03

So that's really been chopping my ass. She was in a custom maybe like Dior wedding dress.

SPEAKER_00

You don't want people to hear the guys to hear that, because maybe if like I heard that you wanted a $50 million wedding, I'd be like, hmm.

SPEAKER_03

Every girl wants a $50 million wedding.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Doesn't matter who you are.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I'm not expecting that. I'm expecting like a $5,000 wedding.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I like to hear.

SPEAKER_03

So, but like it just chap my ass that like I I'm not a billionaire.

SPEAKER_00

It is kind of wild. Like if you think about how much money those people have.

SPEAKER_03

And it's like generations. Like it's not like new, it's it's net it's not new billions. It's he's like the fifth generation billionaire. And he has like 16 siblings. And the fact that like he like himself is still like he's part owner in the Knicks, I'm pretty sure.

SPEAKER_06

Celtics. Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

One of those teams.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And anyway, so like, and she is considered like the poor one, and she's still a billionaire. But it's because it it's not like five generations back, it's just she's like new money billionaire.

SPEAKER_00

That is so wild.

SPEAKER_03

So it just like it honestly just makes me sick. It's it's literally Crazy Rich Asians. That's what it is.

SPEAKER_00

I have not watched that show.

SPEAKER_03

It's so good. How do you not watch that? What do you watch when you go on an airplane?

SPEAKER_00

I know I used to be like everyone always picks the same movies. Um I would bring my own.

SPEAKER_03

Crazy Rich Asians is like I've never seen like a very iconic like airplane movie. Like everybody watches Crazy Rich Asians.

SPEAKER_00

I know, but I I never bring the headphones I can plug in.

SPEAKER_03

You just ask for them from the flight attendant.

SPEAKER_00

So bad. They hurt my ears.

SPEAKER_03

They do really hurt my ears.

SPEAKER_00

They don't block out any noise.

SPEAKER_03

No, they don't.

SPEAKER_00

That is miserable. Please don't bring my head.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, sorry, Emily's not here, so it's not contagious.

unknown

The contagious thing.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, so that's what's been chopping your ass.

SPEAKER_03

That and the fact that um I am just like a scaredy cat and I am I like don't want to go fast on my horse, but like I need to, but like I can't.

SPEAKER_00

So why will you not go fast on the horse? Let's like get to this.

SPEAKER_03

I just get so scared and like so I feel so out of control. And this is the other thing. I don't have enough confidence in myself and in my writing. Like, I don't feel like I'm ready and like experienced enough.

SPEAKER_00

But will you ever?

SPEAKER_03

That's the thing you never and my trainers are like, Amy, like you can go faster. Like, you're gonna be just fine. You're not gonna fall off. You're a good rider, you just need to have some confidence and just like send it. And if you fall off, tuck and roll, and you'll be fine. Get back on the horse.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe you break an arm, you'll be right.

SPEAKER_03

And that that's the other thing. I'm terrified of falling off. I don't want to fall off. But ever everybody falls off. That's the thing. You said to the experience at once. And so it's just and the other thing, what scares me is like going full speed at a barrel and then turning. Because I'm I'm scared that the horse won't rate back to me, which means like slow back down and then go. And so what is like scary is when they all of a sudden just turn when you're going full speed, or if they like duck a barrel or bail last minute and you're not expecting it, that's when you fall off because they're doing something you're not expecting, like you're anticipating them to keep going, and then if they bail at the last second, you then your body's like not ready for it, and you just go flying off.

SPEAKER_00

And then you land in the dirt and you're fine.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

See?

SPEAKER_03

So I should just stop being like a little.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I'd agree. I think you just need to go for it. But um, I do have your sandals. Yeah. Um, and this is perfect timing because I was gonna say one other thing that chaps my ass.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, let's hear it. Me?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you were my first one, but it was a very nice thing. It was nothing mean. Okay. It's because you're too nice. Megan's right behind the camera right now. The second thing is Taylor Swift at all the freaking sports games.

SPEAKER_03

Why does that chap your ass? People like you chap my ass. Are you fing kidding me? She's not allowed to go to a sports game.

SPEAKER_00

No, she can go to a sports game. I don't need to see it on camera every five seconds.

SPEAKER_03

She's the most famous person in the world for that.

SPEAKER_04

She's not asking them to put the camera on her. And I told you, I called the camera guys bad thing about her that I would be mad at you.

SPEAKER_00

Megan really did. On the way here, she's like, I don't know what you're gonna say, but if you say one bad thing about Taylor Swift. You want to know what?

SPEAKER_04

No, no, no. Let me say something. Can I come in really quick? Sure.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, thanks. You got his drinks?

SPEAKER_03

Gosh, thank you.

SPEAKER_00

You're so sweet.

SPEAKER_03

I have to use hers because I'm annoyed with you. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_04

So this is what I have to say. This is why it bugs me, because you like Taylor Swift and you loved the concert, and you only no, no, just let me finish. You only say it because you want to be a contrarian, because you want to like have the conflict here on the couch, and that's why it bugs me.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

She can make control when the cameras are on her.

SPEAKER_03

Call the camera guy. She's the most important person in the world. Also, the spike in football in the NFL revenue. That's literally viewership has gone up a lot. I don't know the exact statistics, but we could Google it.

SPEAKER_00

No, thank you.

SPEAKER_03

So shove it.

SPEAKER_00

You guys all get that same face that Louis.

SPEAKER_03

Shove it.

SPEAKER_00

You can shove it up here. Okay, yes. I okay. So I'm fat.

SPEAKER_03

You're the one who said it.

SPEAKER_00

That was what we talked about. Exactly, but then I knew you could lose a few pounds too.

SPEAKER_03

And the car when it went up after you tell that stuff. I did.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So that was the first thing that she said.

SPEAKER_04

I wasn't meaning it in like a way you're fat. I was meaning like you're just like a big large man. And that's a good thing. Like, I'm just like a little girl.

SPEAKER_00

You're really doing good with that.

SPEAKER_03

We are just little girls. Hi, CD.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, bud. I love you. Um, but no, this is my thing. As a sports fan, okay. I get it why they show Taylor Swift so much because they're trying to make more money, and all the people like you will watch the game literally just to See here get shown on the camera. So they get more people watching, better ratings. I'm it makes sense. But it's like, I just want to watch the game. I don't need to see Taylor Switch. They show her celeb.

SPEAKER_04

They show her celebrities. McCrae, Kylie Jenner, Timothy Chalamet.

SPEAKER_00

That's great. They don't show up every party. But those are like the those people that you just named go to every single Knicks games. They are known as like the game.

SPEAKER_04

We haven't even been going to Knicks games since like 2010.

SPEAKER_00

So I don't even want to hear about her. But no, they go to every game. They're like the most loyal game.

SPEAKER_03

She's a busy girl. She's planning her wedding.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. She's very famous. She's been on tour.

SPEAKER_00

I hate you guys. Anyway, um, yes, Taylor Swift. I have a lot of she's great. I have a lot of respect for her.

SPEAKER_04

I know. And what's your favorite Taylor Swift album?

unknown

Folklore.

SPEAKER_00

Folklore. The one from when we were dating it came out, right? Like right before.

SPEAKER_04

That is his favorite album because a lot of the songs are about Rhode Island.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, but no, then there's the other one. What's the one like the dresses?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, reputation. Repute he likes dress.

SPEAKER_00

Dress, because that was very sexual.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my gosh. And it was like because I told him that I liked that song and we listened to it in the card together, and then he was like, yeah, put on a jack and then we'll take it off.

SPEAKER_00

Let's go. Um anyway. The show was amazing. She freaking works insane for three hours. She gives you your money's worth of the show. So that's why like I have a lot of tip for her. She's great. Well, yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_04

So then don't just like say annoying things against Taylor, so it's just to be different.

SPEAKER_03

Like, like she not allowed to go to any games that she was to? You're so annoying.

SPEAKER_00

The way you're gonna twist it.

SPEAKER_03

No, I'm genuinely asking because she knows that the camera will be on her anytime there's a timeout, a break, whatever. And I feel like that's why she doesn't go very often to like random games. The amount of backlash that she got after she started going to Travis's game because everyone's like, oh my gosh, stop showing Taylor Swift. Yeah, d-d-d-d. It's her fault. I get it. She's so pretty. So maybe I know it's like is she not allowed to go to a game because then she knows that the cameraman is gonna show her?

SPEAKER_05

Sorry, she's gonna go in disguise.

SPEAKER_03

Like, she wants to be a normal girl too. I warned you. She wants to be a normal girl. She wants to go support her team.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you for speaking for Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_03

What do you expect from her?

SPEAKER_00

Maybe I need to tell the camera people to stop showing her, I guess.

SPEAKER_03

No, maybe you should just zip it.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe you should just being infiltrated by Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_04

What's wrong with that? What's wrong with that?

SPEAKER_00

Because I have to hear, I have to get in the family chat. Oh, did you guys see Taylor Swift at the Knicks game? It's like, no, I don't care. I don't want to see Taylor Swift the Knicks game.

SPEAKER_04

So then why did I walk up the stairs yesterday and say, oh, did you know the Taylor Swift's at the Knicks game?

SPEAKER_00

Because I knew it would make your day. And you and you cared about that. So I was being nice.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so then just So now you guys have something in common. Keep that up.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, this got way out of hand. But it was funny.

SPEAKER_03

This isn't painting you in a good light.

SPEAKER_00

What what did I say that was mean? I didn't say anything that was mean. I only said good things about Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_03

You just said that you don't like when she goes to the games because then the cameraman showed her.

SPEAKER_00

It's not her fault. I agree with that. It's not her fault. And everyone's just using her.

SPEAKER_03

So is she not again? I'm back to my question. Is she not allowed to do anything?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, she is, but they just love to do it.

SPEAKER_03

She is the most famous, but that isn't her. It's nothing to do with her.

SPEAKER_00

It's just like the whole, like, yes, she's very famous.

SPEAKER_03

Kim Kardashian just went to F1 because she's dating that one F1 script. Yeah. They were showing her all the time, and the F1 reporters were trying to interview her, and she like wouldn't talk actually is the most awkward thing you've ever seen in your entire life, but she like wasn't talking to them, and the guy was like, What did you think of F1?

SPEAKER_00

And she's like, Yeah, that would be kind of weird though. Like, so it's I do feel for her, I feel for Taylor Swift with Travis Kelsey though. Because like I know she doesn't want to go like take away his light of like that's his thing, but then she wants to support her man.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, her man.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, you guys have gotta stop saying that. Like, I just it does.

SPEAKER_03

That's an Emily. That's an Emilyism.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_03

Am I being summoned?

SPEAKER_02

I can't find the swim trunk because I've looked everywhere.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I'll go get them. Well, thank you for those. I love my cameo. Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

I'm getting angry at me.

unknown

Bye!

SPEAKER_03

Look at that.

SPEAKER_02

I'm dead.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, Dean.

SPEAKER_02

How can I have cameo? Oh, sure. Come on in.

SPEAKER_00

Shannon, uh, we're in a segment right now called um what's your a dollar sign dollar sign?

SPEAKER_03

I hate that word. It's in the Bible. It's biblical.

SPEAKER_00

Is there anything that's been chapping your ASS recently?

SPEAKER_03

You're talking to the mic.

SPEAKER_02

Not really. You're talking to the mic. I just said no, don't put it. That's as far as I can.

SPEAKER_03

No, I I no I haven't. Nothing's chapping your A dollar sign dollar sign. No.

SPEAKER_00

Amy's not. Any words of wisdom before you go?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I could share scripture with you. Yeah. I'm just trying to think. What is a good one? There's so many. Right now, so I'm teaching a lesson um to our women's group on Sunday and it's on prayer. And right now I'm blanking on the phrase, but I will say one of the things I'm the very most grateful for is the Lord's Prayer and that Christ taught us how to pray to Him. And it's the Lord's Prayer. And when I went to Lutheran Bible School in Charleston, South Carolina, I think one of the very first things I learned was how to say the Lord's Prayer. And it has stayed with me. I have it memorized to this day. Do you have it memorized? So look up, look up the um look up the Lord's Prayer. What's the reference?

SPEAKER_03

Well, I thought you just said you had it memorized.

SPEAKER_02

I do.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, go ahead.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, you see, you put pressure on me now. Our Father in who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespassed against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory. Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Wow, great job.

SPEAKER_02

Five years old.

SPEAKER_00

See, this is what I'm gonna say. This is why so Dean was in a Baptist school, little Baptist preschool, and I loved it.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely, a hundred percent.

SPEAKER_00

The things he came back from school and like the way he just talks about God and Jesus now, like it's normal, just a normal thing. I love it. That's why I wanted to be in another one, yeah, or like some sort of Christian school.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. I do think that all humans need to believe in their cre believe in a creator. I just, and I think you know, however that looks and whatever people's faith um journeys and decisions are need to be well respected. But I feel like our world would be much more peaceful if we really could follow love, love your neighbor, treat them as you would treat yourself. I mean, it's honestly it's so simple and it's so difficult, and it's why our world is such a complete disaster. Selfishness, power, money. It's awful, it's terrible, and it's never the right way, it's never that way.

SPEAKER_00

I agree. It is a crazy time right now, but yeah, that always helps bring peace.

SPEAKER_02

If you don't have it memorized, that would be your weekly challenge from Shannon. Memorize it. I do. What was the reference? Did you say it was Matthew?

SPEAKER_00

Matthew 6. Or the verses on it. Um 9 to 13.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I was gonna say 12 through 15. So I was close.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Memorize it. Now that's my goal, is memorize that reference where it's just like that. That was really off the top of my head. Okay, love everyone. Lord's Prayer. Woo! Okay, bye.

SPEAKER_00

Bye. Um, do you have anything else that's been we'll say bugging you instead of chapping? Um let's see.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, after that, even though it's biblical. Do you believe in the biblical swear words? You want to know what my biblical swear words are?

SPEAKER_00

What do I believe in the biblical swear words? What kind of question? Because it's in the Bible, so it's like I can say it but they're not re not referring to like ass, they're referring to a donkey.

SPEAKER_03

Right. Who like decided like that's gonna be a swear word? Or like who decided the word bitch is gonna be yeah, I don't know. Like, who came up with that? Like somebody one day was like, you know what, you're being you're being a bitch, and then somebody was like, that's a swear word.

SPEAKER_00

Like, don't say that again.

SPEAKER_03

Who came up with that? And now it's like a worldwide thing. Who is coming up with these words?

SPEAKER_00

You know, I don't know. I don't know, but also when I went on my mission and learned Portuguese, that kind of like changed my perspective. I was like, it's just a word. Like, why does it hurt? Like, why does it have so much meaning to it? I don't know why. It was just kind of like learning another language, because then it was like those swear words that they had. I was like, that's just funny. Because you know what I mean? Like you'd always like swear in Spanish when you were a kid, yeah. That like doesn't count. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. And it's like, why does it mean? Like, why does it such a bad thing to say? Like a random word. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

You want to know the other thing that I was thinking about the other day?

SPEAKER_00

Well, these sound like like you know, people say like high thoughts.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

This is like that.

SPEAKER_03

These are like trippy thoughts.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You know how this is like I feel also feel like this is like kind of like a universal thing, or maybe it's like a Utah thing. I don't know. Sound up in the comments if it's like a national thing or universal thing. But like, why did we all believe in elementary school that this is flipping off in Chinese? Like it's just the same finger worldly, but like when you're a little kid, like you're always like, yeah, and like Canon and like Isla and Capri, like they do this, and I'm sitting there thinking, like, no, the Chinese just do this too. Like, everybody in the world does this.

SPEAKER_00

That's actually true.

SPEAKER_03

That's pretty much nobody's flipping off with this.

SPEAKER_00

I think, but yeah, it must have like, and it's funny to me how those things just keep getting passed down every year.

SPEAKER_03

Same things, it's the same things. I'm like, wait, I thought that too, but like now that I'm older, I'm like, that doesn't even make sense.

SPEAKER_00

Like, what are some of the other things that got passed down? Like, um like they still do the same like songs, same books, but there's a couple things I remember hearing some of the niece and FUs talking, and I was like, how is that still a thing? You know? It's kind of funny. I don't know. See if if anyone remembers some of those funny things, I I can't remember, but that is a good idea.

SPEAKER_03

Like, what else we did?

SPEAKER_00

That's kind of crazy. That's still like the thing to do.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Or like Canon now, because Capri like watches friends all the time, and like sometimes he'll watch with her. So instead of like doing this, now he goes like this because of friends, because that's like what Monica and Chandler did. Yeah, that's like that was their F you. Yeah, so now anytime he like goes like that, which I think is funny.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that is funny. Yeah, I remember when I first came in the family, you guys would do this all the time. And I was like, what the heck is that?

SPEAKER_03

We're a big friends family.

SPEAKER_00

I love friends. Megan got me into it. So good, so good. That's the best show. Behind the office.

SPEAKER_03

I've did you know I've never like watched The Office like start to finish.

SPEAKER_00

I've seen like that.

SPEAKER_03

I've seen like clips and some episodes.

SPEAKER_00

Am I boring you?

SPEAKER_03

No, I just like did not sleep last night.

SPEAKER_00

Why?

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so do you know anything about Karen Reed?

SPEAKER_00

No, who's Karen Reed?

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so like three or four years ago now. Okay, it's this girl from Boston. She was dating this cop.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yes. He dies. You guys are very passionate about this.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. So she was acquitted. They found her not guilty. The only thing they found her guilty on was driving under the influence, which she was. So she got like community service or whatever she got. Um, but now she is suing the police department because like they did the world's worst job. Like five-year-olds could have run the investigation better than those incompetent losers.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

So she's suing them. So it was it's like their first week back in court since she was found not guilty. And so it's like all popping back up on my feed. So I kept having dreams last night that like I was like running from like these crooked cops. And I kept waking up. Like every hour I was like waking up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And so I just like I didn't sleep good.

SPEAKER_00

You did you get away from the crooked cops?

SPEAKER_03

Anytime they like tried to get me or like would get close, I would wake up.

SPEAKER_00

That is actually like my deepest fear. No, not that.

SPEAKER_03

Like being framed for something, yes, and like you can't prove it.

SPEAKER_00

Like just being in the wrong spot, the wrong time, and just something happening and it just coming.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you know what? Now we know who to call. Alan Jackson. He's her attorney, uh-huh. And he is so good. Like his whole team is so good.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's good to know.

SPEAKER_03

Like, I cannot wait for Netflix to do or somebody to do like a docuseries on this because it really is so crazy.

SPEAKER_00

I bet it'll come out so quickly. Like, as soon as it's like all wrapped up, is it all done? No.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, what'd you say?

SPEAKER_03

Like, she it she's not on murder, like, she's not on a murder trial anymore. Now she's suing the the police department and the state because like they So I'm wondering if they'll wait till that's all done or if they'll maybe like but somebody needs because they filmed everything for court.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And so, and like every single cop that was involved has either gotten fired or resigned.

SPEAKER_00

That's kind of crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Every single one.

SPEAKER_00

Like, do we know why they this happened?

SPEAKER_03

So, okay. He was with Karen and her so her boyfriend John O'Keefe.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

They were out at a bar.

SPEAKER_05

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

They were all gonna go back to this party, like this house party. Everyone was drunk, everyone drove home. And all of these guys are cops. So they're all driving drunk.

SPEAKER_06

That's comforting.

SPEAKER_03

Like, it's not, yeah. I'm like, what are you guys doing? Like, yeah, what is wrong with you? I'm like, I hope the cops in yeah Utah or like outside of Boston aren't doing that. Like, nobody should be doing that, but like, especially not a cop.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway, so they go back to this girl's house, Jennifer McCabe.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know if that's actually her last name. Anyway, it starts with an M. And, or maybe it's her sister's house. I don't remember. Anyway, that's where he dies. He goes inside. Karen's still in the car. It's January, so it's like a big snowstorm in Boston or in Massachusetts, because it's a little outside Boston. They live in Canton. And okay. Is this a little loud? Are they being too loud?

SPEAKER_06

I think it's okay.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, anyway. Um, he goes inside, she waits in the car for like 15, 20, 30 minutes, I can't remember how long, and she calls him and she's like, because she was like, you go inside, because she she felt like she didn't get invited.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

So she was like, you go inside and see if it's okay for me to come in and then come back out and get me. He never comes back out. So she gets pissed. And then she also thinks that he was like cheating on her, and they have like a very toxic on-again, off again relationship. And so she calls him and leaves him a voicemail. Mind you, she's she's drunk. And she's like, I'm leaving you. You're such a douche. Like, starts going off. And then I think she says, like, because she thought he was cheating on her, that um she was like, I'm gonna kill you, or like, like, you're dead, or something like that. And then she drives home. So she drives home. That was at like midnight 1 a.m. She wakes up at like two or three or four, and he's still not home. And his either his sister and his brother-in-law, or his brother and his sister-in-law had died. And so he was in charge of their kids. He's the guardian for their kids. And so she starts freaking out because she was like, he wouldn't not just come home.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because he's like taking care of his niece and his nephew.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So she goes and wakes up his niece and she's like, I need you to give me this girl's number because she, they're family friends, whatever. And so she calls this Jennifer girl, and she's like, Jen, like, John never came home. I don't know where he is. I can't get a hold of him. Like, is he still at either your house or your sister's house? And so Jen was like, Oh, I don't know. Like, let me call my sister. She calls her sister, whatever. So Jen is like, I'll come over, I'll pick you up. We'll go out driving for him. So they're out driving, they go past the house, and they see like a like a figure in the lawn, and it's like snowing outside. It's really cold. It's John. And so Karen is like freaking out. Jen calls 911. You can hear, like in the back of the 911 recording, like Karen is like freaking out. She's like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, like, is he dead? Like she's trying to do CPR. She's freaking out. Like any normal person would. And Jen is like, Karen, calm down. Like, you need to stop. You need to calm down. You're being manic. You're being crazy. Like, and it's like, why are you so calm? Like, this is your friend, your husband's coworker. Why are you being so calm? Anyway. So Jen and the paramedic girl come up with the story that they say they heard Karen say, I hit him, I hit him, I hit him three times. She gets arrested.

SPEAKER_00

Whoa. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And Karen is like, I did not hit him. I would know if I hit somebody. Yeah. Like I did not hit him. He never came back outside of the house. So then the cops come. All these cops are like, like it's a it's at a cop's house.

SPEAKER_06

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

They're all buddies. And so they start gathering evidence. Guess what they're gathering the evidence in?

SPEAKER_00

Against her, but anyway.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no. Guess what they take the evidence with?

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_03

They go to the neighbor's house and they get red solo cups. That's what they're putting the evidence in.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And it's like, sorry, what?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Like, where are your evidence bags? Where, like, where's the CSI team? Like, there's like a protocol for stuff like this. So then this other guy brings out a leaf blower. He's like, we're gonna blow the snow away to see if there's any evidence.

SPEAKER_00

So then they mess up with footprints and stuff too.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly. Just there are so many like little details that just like they impound her car because they're trying to get like forensic DNA to see if she did hit him, and they have a camera in like the Sally port of the police department, and it's in evidence, and they like submit it to the court. They're in court. She went on trial for twice for this.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

It was like federal trial and then like in Massachusetts. She was found not guilty in like the grand jury or whatever, and then it went back down to the state, whatever. So in the first trial, they figured out that they reversed the video because on what the one side of the car is where she hit John, and that's like where she had the damaged taillight. There was his cocktail glass, was like there was glass just like perfectly placed on her fender, on like her back bumper.

SPEAKER_06

Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_03

And so they realized the defense team realized they were like, this is like flipped, like this is reversed. Cause then they were like, they were like, you were alone in the car, and we can't with the car, we can't see what you're doing. What are you doing back there? And he's like, Well, no, that's the opposite side. Oh, I don't know who that is. We're ignoring him though.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway, just like crazy things like that, where it's like obviously the cops are covering something up. Like, it's so obvious.

SPEAKER_00

That's pretty wild.

SPEAKER_03

Like, you need to go down the rabbit hole. You and Megan need to like go on TikTok.

SPEAKER_00

I need to.

SPEAKER_03

Because everybody like people can explain it way better than I can.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. You want you're very passionate about this one.

SPEAKER_03

Do you think this guy can see us?

SPEAKER_00

You can probably hear us. You want to get that?

SPEAKER_03

No, we're ignoring him.

SPEAKER_00

No, go get it. We're in the middle of the house. It's a poor little guy. He's like 12. I'll cut it out. Hurry, go.

SPEAKER_03

We're in the middle of oh no. He's going like bye. Come back. Come back later.

SPEAKER_00

You're so mean. You are so mean. Poor little guy.

SPEAKER_03

He probably wants to like sell us something. We have a no-soliciting sign. Anyway, so that's what that was such a long story, short.

SPEAKER_00

You're you're very passionate.

SPEAKER_03

Because these cops are framing this innocent girl because you know what you'd like to watch? Let me really get down to the meat and potatoes of it really quick. Everybody thinks they're covering for the son.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

The son of the guy whose house it is.

SPEAKER_06

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

He had beef with John. They had like gone into fights before and like had verbal altercations, and his knuckles were bloody.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

And he had John had like dog scratches and bite marks on him. Guess what they did?

SPEAKER_05

What?

SPEAKER_03

The very next day.

SPEAKER_05

What?

SPEAKER_03

They got rid of their dog.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_03

So they couldn't like swab her for any human flesh.

SPEAKER_00

And they killed the guy. So if this is gonna be another 10-minute rant, I don't want to.

SPEAKER_03

No, no. We don't actually know. The theory is he got into it, they were all drunk. He got into a fight with the son, who was like 16, 17, 18, something like that.

SPEAKER_00

So they need to protect the son.

SPEAKER_03

And the son punched him. Maybe he fell back and like hit his set head on something because he had like a he had a head womb. That's what caused his death. The head womb. The head wound, and then he bled out.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And then so they think that like all the cops that were there were like, okay, we gotta protect this guy. And then they were like, we're gonna put it on this girl.

SPEAKER_00

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Because guess what else they Googled? Guess what, Jen, her friend. What she thought was her friend. Guess what she Googled at 227 a.m.

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_03

House long to die in cold.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03

And then she deleted it. She like tried to clear her history. And guess what the other cop did?

SPEAKER_06

What?

SPEAKER_03

He took his phone, took out the SIM card, cut up the SIM card, drove onto a military base in Boston or in Massachusetts, and threw his phone away in two different locations at a military base so that nobody could go through his phone and like get recovered, like recover the deleted messages. Like it is so like oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's insane.

SPEAKER_03

You and Megan need to go down the TikTok rabbit hole and have somebody like summarize it because they can do it way better than I can. Anyway, so she is suing the police department.

SPEAKER_00

That was like a 12-minute rant.

SPEAKER_03

I know, but like it's so interesting to me. When it when it was on TV, like when when you were like watching the trials. When the murder like trial was happening live, this girl, Emily D. Baker, she's a lawyer. Okay. And she would live stream it.

SPEAKER_06

And then legal?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's just on court TV.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03

Um, and then because everything's public unless you're in like a private court, whatever. The federal court when they were at the like the grand jury, that was not okay. That wasn't televised, I don't think.

SPEAKER_06

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway. Um, but since she's a lawyer, she would like explain things and like dumb it down for you if you didn't get it. Oh, but I would watch it every day.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I I knew we were passionate about this, and then when I brought it up, I was like, oh, this is gonna be minute.

SPEAKER_03

No, it's so good.

SPEAKER_00

Like you it's so good. You knew you'd watch um, I think you'd like The Crash on Netflix. I will do a very short summary.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

It's about it's kind of sad in a way. It's a girl, she's I think 17, 16 or 17, has a boyfriend. They have like a very toxic relationship too. Um, and then she's driving home, supposedly it's like 2 a.m., 3 a.m. And they also have uh one of their good friends in the back, and they all have been like at this party or something together. No, it wasn't a party, it was like they're all hanging out, and they crash into this building, kills the boyfriend and the friend, she survives, and she anyway, so she was just like wasn't charged with any anything, but then this lawyer started digging into it and finds out that like she was still accelerating full blast on the pedal for like the five seconds straight, and so she they hit the the building going like a hundred miles an hour, and she never let up off the gas. And then there were like texts of like, I'm gonna kill you if you break up with me and like all this other stuff. Long story short, she gets charged with the murder of both of them. She's still in prison right now. She uh she's supposed to get out in like 2037 or something like that.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, is it a true story?

SPEAKER_00

True story. Oh wow, and so but there's a lot of people that think she's not guilty, she should never charge for that. It's pretty wild. But like the the details they find out about like what she did before, and yeah, it's it's sad because she was only 16 or 17. And like I feel like there was things that she would say that like we would all say, like, not like I would I never said like I'm gonna kill myself because you're gonna break up with me, but like you know what I mean. Like, yeah, it was just crazy teenage drama, but then they would also use her TikToks as evidence against her to show that like she wasn't a normal, nice person, like because she wanted to be TikTok famous.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, is this the girl that they said it was like her and her dad like hired a hitman? No, a different TikToker, different, okay.

SPEAKER_00

But she wanted to be a TikTok, she wasn't like famous by any means. Um but then also she made for like example, they when they got to the sentencing, the lawyer pulled up a TikTok she made and was like, This is an example of what type of person she is. So it was like three or four months after the whole car crash and her boyfriend died and everything. It was like a TikTok of them dressed up going to um a Halloween party, and they were dressed up as skeletons, and so people thought that was super like insensitive, irreverent, wasn't nice, you know, insensitive. But in reality, she dressed up as that because the her boyfriend was a f fan of Playboy Cardi, and that was like his kind of look that he would do, I guess, for his some of his uh performances, and so it's like in I don't even know who that is. He's a famous rapper. Oh the fact you know who that is is kind of embarrassing, but anyway. Long story short, I think you should watch it because it's really interesting. Oh my gosh, the amount of interruptions today is crazy.

SPEAKER_03

It's Summer Sales.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not answering that one. This one I don't feel bad about. Um, okay. So enough about all that stuff. We do have a follow-up to our judge and jury from last week.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I'm excited. I love a follow-up.

SPEAKER_00

This one's out of burb. I'm sorry. Disgusting. This one is from the uh the girl that had the fiance that has the um stepmom that has been sabotaging the whole wedding.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So she wrote in with some further details. So, are you ready? Yeah, I'm ready. Yeah. Um, actually, no, this is that's the wrong one. One second, one second. I don't have all the details, I have to cut this out.

SPEAKER_03

Also, we can cut out the Karen Reed thing.

SPEAKER_00

Why? That's fine.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we can just like cut it shorter. Because I really went off on the tangent like that.

SPEAKER_00

You literally went for like 15, 20 minutes.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know, but it's so interesting.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. One sec. I gotta get to the fan.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you want to know what's really chapping Shannon's ass lately? Well we keep getting packages. And they're not for me, they're not for her, they're not for Michael.

SPEAKER_00

They're for your horse?

SPEAKER_03

They're for my horse that I that I don't even have yet.

SPEAKER_00

No, there's so many. What is happening over there? Someone is running sprints. Um it's the guy.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, he's like running sprints and he's he's running the stairs.

SPEAKER_00

Um he's obviously been not been running fast. Just when people are gonna hear him, he starts running super fast to act like he's doing something. Other times you're just sitting there. Anyway.

SPEAKER_03

Um no, the mud room was full of packages. No, there's so many. All for the horse.

SPEAKER_00

There's probably 20 packages over there. They're all for the horse.

SPEAKER_03

And they're massive. No, Shannon was like, what is this? She pulls out this rock.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. Make it the thing.

SPEAKER_03

It's a salt rock.

SPEAKER_00

Looks like it's literally like looks like a 20, like a 20-pound like rock that you could put on a necklace. Like I don't get it.

SPEAKER_03

It's like you hang it in their stall so they lick it, and then it helps them stay hydrated. It's like electrolytes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, awesome.

SPEAKER_03

For a horse that I don't have yet.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That's really chapping Shannon's ass. Fake horse hydrated.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, here we go. The write-in.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Hi, I wrote in last week. This is long, so we need to keep it more like on track. Because last time we got last time I got so confused. But not from this person, from a different person. Okay. I wrote in last week.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, so it's No, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

The one we got lost in last week.

SPEAKER_03

That was the cousins. Yes, that was like the cousins and whatever. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

This is the girl who has the mother-in-law.

SPEAKER_03

The mother-in-law that's like crazy.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no. The step stepmom.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Hi. I wrote in last week about my crazy stepmother-in-law. Just some clarification. My fiance is an angel. He's seriously everything good in the world.

SPEAKER_01

We love that.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. He tries to keep everyone happy, and I think that's why it makes the situation so hard. The wedding is this week, so please send prayers.

SPEAKER_03

Her wedding?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. That it ends up going okay. Some background. He pulled his dad aside two months ago and asked him to be more happy for us and to include me in their family. The next time we were all together, the stepmom asked if I wanted to get my nails done with all the girls. And when I said yes, she said in front of everyone, the only reason I invited you is because we needed a ride. Then called me her Uber driver the whole ride there. My fiance and I have tried to include her on everything to be nice. I invited her to my bridal shower, and then she told me that she was out of town and then offered to watch my sister-in-law's baby while the sister-in-law went to it and also said that in front of me. So she said she's going to be out of town. Wasn't it?

SPEAKER_03

She's not. And then she's like, I'll watch your kids so that I don't have to go.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. One time we invited her to go on a walk with us, and she told us that she was good. And then the moment we got back, she said, I'm gonna go on a walk now. Honestly, sounds like something like we do.

SPEAKER_01

I'm so that is hilarious. So sad.

SPEAKER_00

At his cousin's wedding, they even went as far to say everything that wasn't used at the wedding because it didn't look good enough could be used at ours. Those exact words.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa, this lady is crazy.

SPEAKER_00

She even told everyone she couldn't be in our wedding photos because of a dental procedure. She was getting three weeks before a wedding. I called a few dentists' friends and they all said the procedure she was getting had no side effects, and she probably sh just didn't want to be in our wedding.

SPEAKER_03

Literally uninvite her.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I think it I lost some of it. Um because it ends right there.

SPEAKER_03

But regardless, I would like literally uninvite her.

SPEAKER_00

This lady sucks.

SPEAKER_03

Like, she doesn't even want to go anyway. I would uninvite her.

SPEAKER_00

My thing is even if you don't like someone in the family, you know, if that's the case, why does why can't you like take a step back and realize it's not about you? Like it's the person's freaking wedding. Like, why do you have to make the whole thing about you and call the person out all the time?

SPEAKER_03

I want to hear from the psycho stepmom.

SPEAKER_00

Should we bring her on the podcast?

SPEAKER_03

And be like, what's your side?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because there's always three sides to every story.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. Their side, their side, and the truth. No, it's true. I know, but it's true.

SPEAKER_03

And so I would love to hear the psycho mother-in-law story because you know that she's just like twisting everything.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I just want to know, like, why are you trying to be a saboteur? Number one. And number two, what is up your ass?

SPEAKER_00

Like, I just don't get it. Is it does she hate the few the person? She might be. I'm so confused.

SPEAKER_03

It's not it. That's not her kid. That's her step kid.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So it's like, you're not even the mom. Like, do you not want him to get married? Do you just hate the girl?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, what is it? Apparently she really hates the girl.

SPEAKER_03

But why? I don't know why.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I'm glad to hear the the guy is nice.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe the guy should do more than just like take the dad and like the dad aside and say, be happy for us and include her more. Like, why don't you like draw a line in the sand and say you need to get her to stop being rude? It's like, okay, maybe the only reason she invited her to get the nails done is so that she could get a ride. Okay, great. Why do you have to make it a point to say it?

SPEAKER_00

That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_03

Like, just be like, yeah, come get our nails done. By the way, can you drive?

SPEAKER_00

Just swallow your pride for a couple weeks so the poor couple can enjoy their wedding.

SPEAKER_03

No, I don't think she's capable of that. Obviously, she's not.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's that's just insane to me.

SPEAKER_03

She can't even go on a walk with the girl.

SPEAKER_00

Like, it's not that hard to just kind of like withdraw from things and be like, alright, I'm just not gonna.

SPEAKER_03

No, it's really not hard to like zoom out and like, alright, I don't like this person, it's fine. Not the end of the world. They're not like a murderer, like they're not a horrible person. Maybe you don't you don't have to get along with everybody, but like you can be like a nice human with like some common courtesy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I agree.

SPEAKER_03

I just don't that's wild that she was called her Uber driver. Yeah, and I've never been to Uber Java.

SPEAKER_00

What is that?

SPEAKER_03

Did you not have Vine?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_03

You didn't have Vine.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, and is this another random tangent?

SPEAKER_03

Oh my gosh, I can't believe you didn't have Vine. Vine was like the OG TikTok. Honestly, they should. It was the best thing that has ever happened to this world.

SPEAKER_00

It's supposed to be there's I think it's the person that made Twitter. I think it's named Jack Dorsey, I believe. Don't quote me on that. I don't know. But he's making it he's making it. Oh my gosh. No AI stuff is allowed.

SPEAKER_03

Good.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, that's yeah.

SPEAKER_03

No, but Vine was it, I think it was like you could your videos were six seconds or shorter.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

And it's like this guy, and he's being it's I think it was like when Uber like first like kind of started like popping off. Because this was like Vine went away when I was in high school. I think I was like a sophomore or junior when Vine went away. So this was like 15, 20 years ago. And this guy's random guy in LA is like being interviewed, and he's like, What do you think of what did you think of your Uber driver? And the guy that's being interviewed is like, um, I've never been to Uva Java. And everyone's like, wait, what? Like, it is one of the most iconic, funny vibes.

SPEAKER_00

The fact that you're referencing this video from literally Well, because you said Uber driver, and I said, I've never been to Uber Java. Your brain is literally just made up of TikToks and old vibes. Yes. Anyway, back to this poor girl. Um, I don't know what advice I have.

SPEAKER_03

I would, I would literally say, if you can't keep your nasty comments to yourself, it's gonna fuel her more. Don't come. And maybe she'll be like, great, I don't even want to come anyway. And then it's like, great, don't come. No one wants you there.

SPEAKER_00

That's just gonna fuel it more though. This is gonna be now it's gonna be years of just awkwardness, you know?

SPEAKER_03

Sounds like it's already pretty awkward.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true. I don't know what I would do in this situation because I do think the hut or the future husband, the fiance, he's kind of in a weird spot because it sounds like he only I don't know. This is my brain. It seems like he only is comfortable pulling this dad to the side to talk.

SPEAKER_03

Well, yeah, because that's not his mom.

SPEAKER_00

And it's not his mom, he's probably just not that close with the stepmom, so he's not gonna like but then again, on the other hand, it's like that's not your mom.

SPEAKER_03

You don't sound like you she he's not really that close with her anyway. So maybe just be like, yo, bitch. Like STFU.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I agree, but sounds like she likes to be the center of attention, and she's a little narky, yeah, and has to like make everyone feel bad around her.

SPEAKER_03

Sounds to put herself ahead, like an insecure little narc.

SPEAKER_00

So, you know, I am praying that her wedding goes well. Hopefully, she lets us know how the wedding goes.

SPEAKER_03

It's this week.

SPEAKER_00

This week. So by the time this comes out, so I bet it's Saturday. Oh. She yeah, she followed up, sent this again, sent this this week. Right. So weddings probably Saturday. Sunday it'll come out.

SPEAKER_03

I hope she I hope your wedding was a good day, and I hope she that narky narc wasn't a narc.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that would suck. But I have a feeling she's gonna do something.

SPEAKER_03

I need a follow-up after the wedding now. Yeah, I know. We gotta get this girl on the podcast.

SPEAKER_00

She needs to come on, but I 100% feel like that mom, the stepmom is gonna do something.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, for sure. She's gonna do something to have you seen the video of the step no, I can't stop saying stepmom. Have you seen the video? The couple gets married, they're cutting the cake, and they are throwing like little tiny cakes out into like the crowd or whatever. And the mom of the groom, so like the mother-in-law, comes up and like grabs the cake and smashes it in the bride's face.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. No, we're gonna do a reaction to that. We're gonna post a reaction to that.

SPEAKER_03

Wait, what?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Because that didn't they just come out?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're gonna do we're gonna film a reaction and post it on TikTok and Instagram as part of like legally friends. So you and I. Okay, okay, okay. Okay. Um one more write-in.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

This one genuinely makes me sad.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I don't like this one. But I don't know where to do the write-ins for judge and jury, so I'll do it here. She sent a DM. That is a perfect spot to send us our judge, your judge and jury. Just DM it to us. Okay. My husband has three broth broth brothers. My husband has three brothers, and the youngest sibling is a 22 year old sister. After I had my child, I gained 50 pounds and have trouble losing it, but I'm actually working towards looking better. Last year, my sister-in-law started dating a person that was out of our faith and not good for her. My husband, as the older brother, made them break up. And in angry response to this, my sister-in-law told my husband, How can he even have sex with me when I'm so fat? I'm overweight, but I still look somewhat good. Since then, she has been allowed to my home and I haven't talked to her. The in-law family is telling me to just let it go and get over it because she's always like this. And they do let her get out of it, out of hand, and let wild things and let the wild things she says go all the time. So, should I let this slide? Especially when there's no apology inside.

SPEAKER_03

No, like I wouldn't be able to.

SPEAKER_00

That is rough.

SPEAKER_03

If she can't even apologize and be like, I'm sorry, I said that out of anger, I don't mean that. Yeah, if she can't even do that, no. That's you can't cater, you can't tiptoe around somebody. Like, no. Yeah, no.

SPEAKER_00

That's one because that's in my book. Do I call people fat and joke? Sure.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but it's a joke.

SPEAKER_00

Jokey. But if you like, that is a very mean thing to say.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and it's not even like it's not even she was like, Well, I don't like your wife, or like I didn't like your wife when you it's like she went like so far and like so personal and like so below the belt. That is like that is hard to come back from. And the fact that like the rest of the family is like, oh, just forget her, it's just Susie. Like she says stuff that sh no, no.

SPEAKER_00

There's certain things you don't say, and like and I get it.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know, we've all said things that we don't mean in the heat of the moment, but like you come back and you apologize. Well, you come back and apologize, and like the things that I say in the heat of the moment is like, you're a bitch.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like you don't personally attack somebody, and especially like you've just had a baby, like there's so much.

SPEAKER_03

That's like not her actual sister, that's her sister-in-law.

SPEAKER_00

That's so jacked up.

SPEAKER_03

Like, sisters can get, I will say, sisters can get away with saying the most outlandish things to each other. Oh, I wouldn't because that's your sister. But like, you can't say that to somebody else's sister. I can say whatever I want to my sisters. Yeah. If one person even said one rude thing about them, I would fly across the table.

SPEAKER_00

In a serious manner like that, and in real fight. That's craziness.

SPEAKER_03

Fly across the table. And people have said things to my sisters that, like, not even in front of me, but like I find out what they say, and I will block them. And I will not, like, I don't give them the time of day because I'm like, I know what you said about my sister. How dare you say that about my sister? Sister.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there's just not I I mean, if it was me, and you know who I am, yeah, I would not let that fly.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, what would you do if your sister said that about Megan? I mean, I would because it she said the little sister said it to her husband.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I would Would you tell Megan that she said that, or what would you do?

SPEAKER_00

She must she must have heard it though. Did she say that she heard it? I don't know. If someone said that about Megan, first off, I would have some very colorful language to say back, which is not a good thing. Need to maybe control that. But I would just not want to be around them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And and if they apologize and were like genuinely sad or like felt bad about it, then I'd be like, okay. It's gonna take me some time to still get over it, but like that would make it a lot better.

SPEAKER_05

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And I would feel like, all right, they've humbled themselves and they feel better. I'll like all right, I can do the same. It's gonna take me a sec, but like we'll eventually get back to it. But the fact that she's acting that nothing is wrong, and she won't apply it. And that wasn't like she's not in the wrong here, is insane.

SPEAKER_03

No, like genuinely like certifiable.

SPEAKER_00

I feel bad for this person. I'm sorry that that happened.

SPEAKER_03

That is so sad.

SPEAKER_00

I would, yeah, I would. I mean, it sounds like this chick is an idiot anyway, and she does crap like this all the time. So don't take it to heart because she sounds like she's just a jerk.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she sounds like a real piece of work.

SPEAKER_00

So I would just be like, you know what? Screw you.

SPEAKER_03

Well, and she said she hasn't talked to her, she's not allowed in her home. Yeah, screw it, honestly. I would do the same thing until she can apologize.

SPEAKER_00

What if okay? Hear me out.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

How can I put this? So say, um, I'm trying to think of the right scenario here in where it was me doing something stupid like this. Um okay, say someone else, maybe it was me. And or I was offended about one of you saying something to me. Like maybe Emily said something super mean to me.

SPEAKER_03

She called you stupid.

SPEAKER_00

She called me an idiot, and and some other things. I would, and I didn't want to see or like talk to her anymore, and she wasn't gonna apologize. I would you be like, Zach, like get over it a little bit.

SPEAKER_03

No, I would say that she needs to apologize. And I I have said to Emily and Rachel, when I feel like they are in the wrong and they need to apologize, I say, you need to apologize. Yeah, it's not. I feel like a lot of people think that apologizing is like showing weakness or like proving that the other person was right. Okay, and maybe they were right, maybe you were in the wrong. And it like really life is too short that it's like what you can't say that you're sorry for something that you said and it hurts somebody else's feelings. Like, don't be a loser.

SPEAKER_00

I agree.

SPEAKER_03

Like, that's a capital L loser if you can't apologize.

SPEAKER_00

There's just such good words of advice.

SPEAKER_03

I have such wisdom that no one really ever listens to. But like, I do feel like out of the sisters, me and Megan are the best at apologizing. Emily and Rachel can find they apologize easier to other people. Yeah. But when it comes to like a sister fight, they kind of have a hard time apologizing to us.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like it's kind of like the younger sibling thing, though. Because you've like, you've watched everyone have their fights and you're like, this is so stupid. Yeah. Like, what are we doing? Yeah. Get over it. And you just kind of like, I don't know, brut want to get past it. And I think other maybe the older siblings get more caught up on it and take it more seriously.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So if I ever feel like Emily or Rachel, like when they get into a fight, because they both always call me to try to get me on their side.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

And if I feel like one is wrong, I'm always like, you should apologize for that.

SPEAKER_00

And that is not well received sometimes.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

But it's alright.

SPEAKER_03

But then they they always get there. They always get there. It's just like they gotta get it out. And then they're like, okay, fine. And then they can apologize, but it it takes a sec.

SPEAKER_00

Well, to this lady. I'm I hope you don't like take that to heart.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no. That girl sounds like a psycho freak.

SPEAKER_00

She's an idiot.

SPEAKER_03

And um and just keep doing what you're doing. Don't let that family peer pressure you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, don't just give in.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

Do not give in. Make that freaking psycho chick.

SPEAKER_03

Stand your ground.

SPEAKER_00

Apologize. She needs to apologize. And then maybe. And but then when she apologizes, I would not be like, all right, everything's good. Thanks for the apology. I'd be like, well, give it some time.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. No, she apologizes, and you can accept her apology graciously. You can say thank you for the apology. I appreciate you apologizing. It's gonna take me some time, but this was the first step.

SPEAKER_00

And I'd want to see that she's not gonna just freaking act like this and the family's not gonna let it slide anymore.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly. She needs to show that she's like changing. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. All right. Well, that was all the write-ins for this week.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, that is the end of episode 23. Crazy. Insane. Um, you want to sign us off?

SPEAKER_03

Sure. Ready?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, also Emily's coming on just her and I.

SPEAKER_03

I'm so excited for that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it might come earlier though. The next Sunday. I'm trying to decide.

SPEAKER_03

Are you gonna drop one like midweek?

SPEAKER_00

Maybe.

SPEAKER_03

Like surprise?

SPEAKER_00

Maybe a little surprise with Emily.

SPEAKER_03

That could be fun. I do want to do all three of us in person. Like imagine if I'm sitting around.

SPEAKER_00

We need to do it next week then, because then I fly out. But then we'll do it. So I'll still be here on the weekends most of the time. But anyway. Okay. Sign us off with your newscaster voice per usual.
