Cx1DJs We Do Things Different Podcast "Untold Stories of BDP" hosted by DJButterrock

Boogie Down Productions (BDP) was an American hip-hop group formed in the Bronx, New York City, in 1986. It originally consisted of KRS-One, D-Nice, and DJ Scott La Rock. DJ Scott La Rock was murdered on August 27, 1987. The name of the group, Boogie Down, derives from a nickname for the South Bronx.

The group pioneered the fusion of dancehall reggae and hip-hop music, and their debut LP Criminal Minded contains frank descriptions of life in the South Bronx during the late 1980s.

Members
BDP's membership changed throughout its existence, the only constant being KRS-One.[1] The group was founded by KRS-One and DJ Scott La Rock, with producer Lee Smith, who was essential in the production of the songs on Criminal Minded, being added as a member shortly after.[1]

From those beginnings, BDP members and collaborators included Ced Gee of Ultramagnetic MC's, Lee Smith, Scott La Rock, D-Nice, Henry Wilkerson PoppyDa, Kenny Parker (KRS-One's younger brother), Just-Ice, ICU, McBoo, Ms. Melodie, Heather B., Scottie Morris, Tony Rahsan, Willie D., RoboCop, Harmony, DJ Red Alert, Jay Kramer, D-Square, Rebekah Foster, Scott Whitehill, Scott King, Chris Tait and Sidney Mills.

BDP as a group essentially ended because KRS-One began recording and performing under his own name rather than the group name.[1] Lee Smith, who has co-producer credit on the original 12" "South Bronx" single, was the first to be jettisoned by KRS-One and the future new label after Scott's death.

In the liner notes on BDP's 1992 album Sex and Violence, KRS-One writes: "BDP in 1992 is KRS-One, Willie D, and Kenny Parker! BDP is not D-Nice, Jamal-Ski, Harmony, Ms. Melodie, and Scottie Morris. They are not down with BDP so stop frontin'." Steve "Flash" Juon of RapReviews.com claimed that this initiated the ultimate breakup of the group.[2]

We do things different podcasts. We got a dope show tonight. Yeah, man. And we on early. We got a couple things. Shout out to Shout to all the motherfucking fake police out there. We're going to talk about black cops that always abruis in their fucking power tonight. And this will be a perfect show to talk about it on the Boogie Down production show. This is the perfect show to talk about a police that's always over the top with their bullshit. Yeah, we're going to talk about tonight. I've been harassed by a couple of police officers in Georgia. And uh this is what I want to say, man. If you really, hey, if you really um doing your job as a police officer, and I spilt water, so that that ain't sweat. I spilt water. If you're doing your job as a Georgia patrol, or you doing your job as a Socalina State Patrol, if you're doing your job as the fucking um goddamn uh FI, CIA, NDL, NWCPT, whatever the fuck you are, please don't abuse your fucking power. And please have a dignity, please have respect for the other race, not just the white race. Have respect for the black motherfucking race. I wanna I want to talk to y'all on this BDP Boogie Down production show. Shout out to Chris RP to my brother DJ Scott LaRocca. And what uh what I wanted to do today is talk about police brutality. I've been harassed by the police. Nigga, I was in law enforcement 25 years and I still be getting harassed. What the fuck? What what what what the fuck is this world coming to? I gotta worry about regular shit in my camp and I gotta then I gotta worry about fucking bitch ass police. That's black. Why the fuck do black people get in position and they want harass? This is the perfect time to talk about police brutality and police over justice and police the black black. We're gonna talk about the black cops that get in position and then forget that they're here to serve all of us. If you black and you got blessed to be an officer of the law, you you need to have some kind of what's that word I'm looking for? Like you care about your black brothers and sisters. And when you pull somebody over and they got their kids in the car, why don't you be more mindful and respectful how that kid would think about you as you harassing their parents? I see so many cops pulling over people with kids in the car, and it's for minor traffic shit, and they treat it like it's a fucking mass murderer. And then you got motherfuckers out here on some YN shit, killing up motherfuckers, doing crazy shit, and they don't do shit about them motherfuckers. Why you you should worry about the real shit? So I'm at work. I went to go get a bite to eat. And this bitch ass police officer. I'm gonna call a I'm gonna what's up, but what's up? What's up, baby? What's up, Bon Type? What's up? And a cop harassed me. Yeah. Last night, I had I was in my my business partner truck. We was driving. While I was driving, that motherfucker was somewhere else. I ain't gonna get too much into it, but it got crazy. All right, and just before that, I saw another woman with her child. And the cops was fucking with her. She was black too, and the cop was black. I like, hold on. Bitch, both of y'all the same color, motherfucker. Have some kind of what's the grace of yourself. Like, really have mercy on the motherfucker you pull on over. Like, god damn it. Shout out to Wanya, shout out to T Cap, shout out to DJ Money, shout out to Bob Toby, shout out to the whole team. And if I didn't say your name, shout out to you. Everybody share, like, screen, share, subscribe. Now, I want to say something to you. It does matter. Like in South Carolina and North Carolina, I got cousins, uncles, that's cops, estate troopers, and shit. And they really respect when they pull over somebody black, they look out for the black people. And then if you killed a motherfucker, that's that's your ass. But if it's just simple traffic shit, they let you go. Georgia treat you, Georgia. I'm gonna tell you something. It depends on what part of Georgia you're in. They treat traffic like you killed a motherfucker, and it's just a traffic motherfucker, it's not that serious. We will be getting out of jail in 20 minutes. But I say it uh 30 to two hours because the motherfuckers don't know how to process you. So when they lock you up, it takes them five hours to get you the fuck out of there. And it it be it be the punk motherfuckers. It don't be, you know, I I you know, it don't ever be, it's it just depends on what counting you get pulled over in. I want y'all to walk with me because it's the perfect time to talk about police brutality and police the over over fucking policing and overdoing your fucking job. And it's always the color of your skin. I got pulled up by a white cop. Hey man, this I'm gonna tell you something. When my license was fucked up, I got pulled over by a black cop, a white cop, excuse me. Not a black cop. Them motherfuckers escorted me home. All right, Eugene. Just get your yo get your shit together and don't worry and live and live today. Got pulled up by a black cop. All the niggas in the Mexican cop. Mexican black cops will lock you the fuck up. Just what this Mexican cop named Jose Rodriguez. That nigga pulled me over. Yo those homes, you're going into jail, you going to jail. Like, motherfucker, now you can't even speak English, bitch. Are you fucking legal, bitch? Don't worry about me, motherfucker. You going to jail? I'm like, nigga, you Mexican motherfucker. You racist, homes, you racist. No, I'm not racist, but you telling me I'm going to jail. You ain't even fucking fucking legal. How the fuck you have a badge, bitch? You going to jail? I said, how the fuck they hired Philippe? No, they hired fucking Jose Rodriguez. That nigga's name was Jose Rodriguez. He pulled me away. You on your license is fucked up, homes. You going to jail? I said, What's your name? Lieutenant Jorge Jose. This motherfucker said Lieutenant Jose Rodriguez. I said, nigga, you you lieutenant. How the fuck you you lie? That's all repeat your name again. Mother, it's Eugene. It's you think my name is. I said, Eugene. No, your name is Eugene. My name is Lieutenant Jose Rodriguez, and you going to jail. I said, God damn, I'm going to jail by Lieutenant Jose Rodriguez. That motherfucker ain't give me no brakes. No nothing. I slipped up. I said, You an asshole. He said, get out the fucking car. Don't never argue with the police. Don't never argue with the fucking law enforcement. You get that. I said, You an asshole, homie. You got get out the fucking car. Then he called like five of the police cars. I said, shit, I'm going to jail. God damn it. The Mexican, the Spanish, and black cops is somebody that you don't want on your ass if you are black. I just want to I want to share that with you guys on the Boogie Down production BDP untold stories. This is the perfect this is a perfect show to talk about police. Police that's not policing, right? And then you have a nigga get shot down the street. Oh, we don't know. We don't know. Hear the same Jose Rodriguez, Lieutenant Jose Rodriguez. We don't know what happened to that homes is on the investigation. Motherfucker, you need to go find out, bitch. Instead of doing traffic all fucking day. We don't know, Holmes. We don't know what happened to him. What happened to your boy? We don't know. But you worry about me driving. You worry about me driving, but you don't give a fuck who got killed down the street. You worry about niggas traffic and DUI and well I don't drink, but they be worried about the wrong shit. I'm gonna tell y'all something. Anytime a motherfucker pull you over, this could be anybody. And it's four or five police cars behind them, that one car, you go in there, you going to jail. If it's only one cop, one cop car, you good. They're gonna give you a warning. When you see four or five police cars, nigga, it's over. Your mama just say, Yup. Do that deep breath like. All right, well, here we go. No, no, no, no, no, not go. I guess I'm gonna be out. Get your chewing gum, eat your sandwich, drink your water, eat your apple, whatever the fuck you got, because you're gonna be in that motherfucker for five to six hours getting processed. But one thing about it, you gotta come home. You know why? Cause you ain't do nothing. It was the only traffic, motherfucker. Some sad shit. You tell them I like, I got niggas, I know niggas is out here doing pitting and work and the cops don't need to go down the goddamn street. I'm like, motherfucker, these niggas is wildin' and y'all worry about traffic. That's the easiest shit for these fucking cops to worry about traffic. They don't worry about the real shit that's going on in America. I'm talking about every fucking state. I lived everywhere. But Georgia is the only state. I lived all over the fucking world. Georgia is the only state that they really are big on driving without license. Or driving prepared, driving this suspended, driving with a driving, drinking water, driving on a phone, texting and driving, driving looking good, driving black. I'm gonna give you all the reasons you all the reasons in Georgia you're gonna get pulled over. Driving with a Versace coat, driving in a nice car, driving in a Mercedes, driving in a bit lead, driving in a Honda, a new Honda, not them old beat up motherfuckers, driving in the goddamn uh Dodge Ram, Dodge Charger, Affinity, goddamn Cadillac, uh fucking SUV Hummer, got them driving in the goddamn what else you get pulled over in. Expedition, the new shit, not the old bullshit. Um explore, not the old shit. They ain't gonna fuck with you in the old shit. The new shit they're gonna get you. Uh what else they got? Uh Sherry um Malibu. Uh what the fuck is they uh pull your ass open? Anything looking like a sports car, they're gonna fuck with you. If you look like you a drug dealer or some money, or even your business, they think, okay, that nigga got a business. Let's pull him over, let's pull over, let's give him a ticket, let's just check their license. Why not? Let's check and see if they're legal. So I wanna I wanna say this tonight. For all the good cops, because I know a whole lot about I got family members, this cop, for all the good cops and all the people that's serving the law and give people breaks, and when they pull you over and you got your kids in the back crying, don't take mommy, don't take that. And then the cops have a heart and they won't take you because you got your kids crying in the back. But you got them cops that don't give a fuck, but nobody crying, Wan, shut the fuck up. You're all these motherfuckers going to jail. You're gonna have go to social service, you're apartment of social services. We don't give a fuck where you go. Them no the unknown heart ass piece of shit ass cops that don't give a fuck about breaking up a family. All they give a fuck about is goddamn, they got they got it one. I'm like, motherfucker, hold on a minute. If you got me, I'm gonna plead guilty. I'm not screaming, nigga, hold on, stop it. I'm not pleading guilty to shit. Lawyer. I told one of my people that we I'm gonna tell you a story. This is a real story. Me and Punkinfoot, the chocolate buddy, my artist, we got pulled over in Stockbridge. She was arguing with the 5-0. Nigga, I know my rights, nigga. I went to law school. That nigga pulled her little ass out of the car and said, listen here, shut up. No, it was cold. It was like November, it was cold as fuck. She had like tights on, some skippy shit. It was coming from a performance. He left her ass outside freezing. She was shaking. He said, Oh, you cold, ain't ya? Because Punkabo liked to talk. She didn't know when to shut the fuck up. I like Punkabah, it's Papa O, nigga. I don't give a fuck. I went to school. I know my rights. So they kept her ass outside in the freezing cold for 15 minutes. And then nigga said, Uh, you cold, huh? He said, Yes, I'm cold. You want a jacket? Yeah, I need a jacket. And then when he gave it a jacket, he said, Next time you can keep your little mouth closed. We got caught up in a roadblock in uh in uh Clayton. They were looking for somebody in out in uh fucking Hampton, out there in Henry County, out there in Stockbridge. You don't want to be fucking around out there at night. They was looking for somebody. And they would they pulled those over and punk it started talking. It was crazy. She kept talking. And she said, I know my fucking rights, and fuck you, and fuck everybody else. I know my fucking rights. And he said, Oh, you know your rights. Because he wanted he wanted to search the cars. He's like, You can't search my goddamn car. I said, Punk it. He's looking for somebody. They're doing the roadblock, they're doing this to everybody. No, no, no. He searched the car, took out, took both our asses out the car, searched the car, and um, we stayed out there in the cold. I had a jacket on. She had some skippy shit on, so I like, nigga, you freezing. I said, officer, please, can you give her a coat? He said, You cold, ain't you? She said, Yes. He gave punkinfoot a coat. She put the coat on and he let us go by the way after 20 minutes out there arguing with the fucking Henry County Police Department. I said, Punkinfoot. What? I said, you're not winning with Henry County Police Department. I know you're bad, I know you're the chocolate bunny, and everybody else is looking funny, my crew and all that shit, but you're not winning with the Henry County Police Department. I'm not that bad either. Ain't you a gangback? No, I ain't no guy. I used to be. I'm a I'm a I'm a businessman. I'm a business owner. Shit. And I would say fuck the police, but I got family members that's police. I would never say I got a cousin that's a state trooper and he works the Anderson and Greenville, Socalina area. So I would never say fuck the police. I'm gonna say fuck the uh I'm gonna say fuck the no-hearted motherfuckers. And they most of them motherfuckers is black like me. So I know y'all want to get on here and talk about the black white cops. No, no, no, fucking no, no. It's the black cops that got something to prove to the whatever. I don't know what the fuck they got to prove to, but you're gonna have more of the community like you when you actually serve the community the right way and stop overdoing your fucking job, like overdoing it. I don't know. Do your job. All right, you know what I'm saying? Have a heart, god damn it. I I want to say that tonight. Don't overdo your shit. You you make people not want to like you. You you overdo your job, you make people not want to like you. So I just want to share that tonight. Now, shout out to Baltavia. I'll see you, baby. Yeah, so let's get into let's get into it. I wanted to say that real quick, and I want to uh because I had a bad experience yesterday, last night, and um nigga got money, so you know you know nigga got millions of dollars behind him and shit, so we ain't we know you can't fade a nigga that got investors and partners and shit like that. I was at work when that bullshit pulled out. I said, nigga, I'm at work, we don't give a fuck. You uh this is the issue we gotta deal with. Macho man, macho Randy Savage. It was a black cop. I said, Hey Shorty, uh, what's up? What's up? What's up? Like, yeah, bitch. You need to get your hair was done too. The bitch hair was done. Like she just left the fucking beauty salon. Aye, bitch, nigga. I left the beauty salon now. You coming with me? I said, Shorty, are you serious? I'm at work. Where you going? Bitch, I went to go get a burger, nigga. You don't smell the food, nigga. Let me have some nigga. That fucking cop was off the goddamn chain. Then she tried to be my friend after all the shit was over. You know, you need to, you know, I understand. And then you're a business, man. You work and try. Man, I wanted to say, bitch, shut the fuck up. Give me my ticket and yo, bitch. I know you got things to do. You got money to make. Bitch, you fucking up the money. Nigga, I was me and everybody in the warehouse are so pissed off. We like, man, we're closing down for today. We went home early. That's just too much for TV. I want to share that with y'all. So when y'all out there and you get pulled out by Popo, the the I'm gonna tell you who you gotta watch out for. State troopers is good. Everybody keeps talking about Georgia State Patrol. Them my niggas, I love Georgia State Patrol. They got heart too. Everybody be talking bad about Georgia State Patrol. Them niggas is cool, man. They got heart. They really got kids and some of them in the military and all that bullshit. They don't understand shit happens. But I'm gonna tell you who to watch out for. Watch out for the fucking city cops, the sheriffs, the goddamn, who else? City sheriff, the next to the city, the damn county. You got this, you got the see you got the county cops. See, in Georgia, you got city, county, and then you got the sheriff. Hold on, motherfucker. I thought the sheriff is this the county. No, nigga. They got county. They got I'm gonna break down all the cops in Georgia. God damn it. It's different from South Carolina. You got Georgia State Patrol, you got the city cops, you got the sheriff, and you got the goddamn county. You got four different departments you gotta watch out for. Now, the the three that you gotta watch out for is the sheriff, the city, and the county. Them niggas ain't no fucking joke. And some of them is black and they got something to prove and they don't give a fuck about you. In training, I this is this one bitch said in training, they train me to lock all niggas up. I ain't making that up either. That's not alleged. I'm like, what? Don't not give nobody my color a break. They think because I'm black and you black, I'm supposed to give you a break. We all go to jail. So I when that white motherfucker got pulled over, you ain't locked that motherfucker up. You ain't give him a break. I'm no, you gave him a break, but you ain't give me a break. I just want to share that tonight. Now let's get back to business. I want I I had to start it off because this is the BDP. You so you young niggas that was on here, that's on here that wanna watch this later. Do y'all know the history of Boogie Down Beduction? Do y'all know do you know the history of the teacher Carol Car KRS1? Do you know the history of DJ Scott LaRocca? Do you know the history of DJ D nice? Well, you on the right motherfucking show to learn, bitches and niggas? I don't like too much cursing. Nigga, we cursing tonight. Fuck the shit. I got harassed by the police, fuck them all. And if anybody don't like cursing, go the fuck on. Go, go, don't, go do whatever you want to do. We cursing tonight. At first, I was I said, I ain't gonna curse. Nigga, fuck it. I got harassed by the police. Fuck everybody, nigga. If you don't like cursing, fuck you. You go get harassed. You go to work, right? I got hungry. Let me go get me something from fucking goddamn cookout. I'm going in my nigga truck and I get harassed. My cookout got cold, my drink got watered down, I'm pissed off. How the fuck? I got it when I got out of the bullshit. The food was cold, the drink was watered down. I say, fuck the cook out, fuck cookout, fuck everything. Fuck it all. Now let's move on to the show. Okay. I'm getting myself together here. Fuck fuck that cop. The cop that harassed me, fuck you. Your whole generation. You need more better training, bitch. I'll watch your and she and she knew how to. Watch it later, bitch. I knew that motherfucker talking about you. I'm talking about you. The motherfucker that pulled me or harassed me or something out there. You know who I'm talking about. God damn it. Fuck. Let's get back into the regular schedule program. Yeah, so if you're familiar with BDP, this is the best show for you. Because this is the show that's going to break down everything about Scott LaRock. What happened to Scott LaRock? What you know what went on with that. See, Scott LaRock was actually the founder of Boogie Down production. A lot of people don't know that they know it was Keras won. No, Keras won. I mean, we could say they found it together, but Scott LaRock was the he was the leader of this shit. He was the man that ran that shit. Scott LaRock DJ, he was the main, he was the, you know, you go to a club, you're a house DJ, he was the house DJ for Latin Quarters. DJ Red Allerk, DJ in Latin Quarters. Latin quarters, we always were going to bring you back to Latin Quarters anytime we do some shit back in the old school. You could not be in the music industry without going to Latin Quarters. Latin Quarters was the club that broke BDP. Their first song, The Bridge is Over was recorded in Latin Quarters. It was not recorded in Scolor Rock House. It was recorded in Latin Quarters. The rough draft of The Bridge is Over, The Bridge is Over, The Bridge is Over. The rough draft was recorded in Scotland Rock House. DJ Riddlerk re-recorded it. Cool, DJ Riddlerk. He re-recorded it in Latin quarters. It was over 2,000 people and they redid it in Latin quarters. And they did they shot the video in there. So they were they did the re what they did the live performance and then they did the they dropped it on the rail orail back in the day. And they also um shot the music video in Latin quarters. So if you ever go look up, go when you not now look up, look it up later. Look up the Bridges Over, Boogie Down production Bridges Over video that was shot in Latin quarters, the legendary Latin quarters. We did a show on Latin quarters. About a month, about three weeks ago. Go ahead and look at that shit. It gives you more of the insight of Latin Courters and all the artists that was broken in Latin Courters. Now, BDP was definitely one of the artists that was broken in the world famous Latin Courtis. Latin quarters was in uh Times Square in New York City. Um, and that was the that was the club for hip hop back in the 80s. Yes, it got shut down because uh Roxhan Shantae did a performance, and nigga got shot outside and got killed outside the club where Roxhan Shantae performed in 1989 and Latin quarters closed down then. So people want to say, what the hell happened to Latin quarters in New York? Rock Shan Shantae, her and the real Roxhan was battling in the club. That was good. It was good. It had over 4,000 people there. All right, Latin quarters big as fuck. 5,000 people. All right, so at the end of the show, nigga was fighting outside, nigga got smoked. BOW! When Jose Rodriguez then, nigga, in Latin quarter days. That nigga was a baby. I don't think that motherfucker was born out here harassing me, bitch. But anyway, back to back to the show. So um it was shot Latin, the world famous Latin quarters was shut shut down in '89 for a a murder outside the club when quit uh when uh Roxhan Shantae performed. That was and they were trying to blame Roxanne Sante for that. I'm like, Roxhan Shantae had nothing to do with niggas fighting outside the club. But back to BDP. So that's where BDP came from. When you can't not mention K KRS1, DJ Scotler Rock, DJ Um uh P nice, uh without uh D nice, excuse me. I said P nice. What the fuck? Nigga gotta get him P nice. P nice ain't a goddamn DJ. He's the ugly money. Shout out the ugly money, P Nice. You can mention D nice, DJ Scotlerock, or KRS one without remembering the world famous Latin quarters. For you niggas that's not from up north, that's one of the biggest nightclubs in the 80s, all right? All right, so DJ Ritterlock red the Bridges Over, and then um Kara was Keras one, he stressed this. Uh you know, for something funny, you young people that know. Keros one said he was still homeless when his first single was on the radio. Still number one, uh, you know, he was homeless. When Bridges Over was out, he was still homeless. When um um South Bronx, the song South Bronx was out, he was still homeless. When a lot of his famous singles was playing on the radio, Kos one didn't have a place to go. Of course, I was like, nigga, how the fuck are you homeless? You got Scott LaRoc, go live with that nigga. He was still Scott LaRock was still living there at the time. But you gotta understand something. Scott LaRocca got murdered right before BDP took off. BDP, you know, like in the 80s, we're gonna give it like this. BDP, if it was social media, that was like kind of like, goddamn, um, who, who? That was big, man. That was real big in that, you know, you know, big in that day. Without Instagram, without Facebook, without TikTok, you could not go down the street or listen to the radio without hearing Boogie Down production. If you 15 plus and up and you old school, you like that old school hip hop, you know what the fuck I'm talking about. BDP was the shit. You know, you had MC Shan, then you had um Boogie Down production. Now, see, this is what they did. This is some real, that's scholar rock right there. This is some real classic hip-hop shit. Now, a lot of people's doing this. A lot of people's doing this now. They wait for a motherfucker to bubble, and then they go after that motherfucker and use they they fame and know they fame and they, you know, because they big and they they go ahead and do some shit. So you had MC Shannon. MC Shannon's my dude. I know MC Shannon. I met Karas one about one time. I met MC Shannon a lot. Shout out to MC Shannon. That's my guy. He lives out here. He lives in Atlanta now, MC Shan. I'm gonna call that nigga the legendary MC Shan. The bridge. Bridge, bridge, bridge. We're gonna do something with MC Shan. We we still, you know, Shan be on his Shan shit. So MC Shann, you know you're my nigga. And uh I love MC Shann. He's a real nigga. MC Shann with the whistle. All right, back to what I was saying. So with what Keros one did, I was so dope. MC Shann and the Juice Crew was really the shit at the time. No one no one knew who Boogie Down reduction was. So they went ahead and took the time to diss MC Shane and Molly Mall. And he was they was dissing the juice crew, uh, dissing Roxanne and Santee and everybody from the juice crew. You know, they did a real hip-hop. Nobody never got in no fight. Actually, Big Daddy King helped Keros one move into his new apartment when he got his apartment once he got started making money. So for people that know, this is the untold stories of BDP, Boogie Down production. Boogie Down production was actually cool with the juice crew behind the scenes. You had KISS FM, you had BLS, so you had, I'm giving y'all some education because some of you people is not from up north, and some of you people don't got your education. You had two radio stations, like the West Coast and East Coast beef. You had 98.7 KISS FM, that's where uh DJ uh Red Allerk was on. You had WBLS, that's what DJ Marley Maul, and that's where we're where B, you know, that that's Marley Maul, that's the juice crew, that's MC Shan, that's Bismarck E. That's uh Roxanne Shante, that's Big Daddy King, you got the Juice crew, and you got BDP. DJ Red Alurk rolled with BDP, and on top of BDP, you got uh, you know, you got the zoodo nation, Africa Bambada, RP to that brother. You got the whole Zoodle nation that's rolling with Keras One in a BDP. So BDP was big as fuck. When you have the zoodo nation, the world famous zoodo nation, don't matter what the fuck you heard about anybody from the Zoodo Nation, Africa Bambada, anybody who we're not talking about that tonight. We're just letting you know the power that KRS one had rolling with the Zoodo Nation. This is the untold stories of BDP boogie down production. And we came with all the news and all the real unfacts and untold stories about BDP. So Keras One, no one told Keras One to go ahead and shit on MC Shan. He said, Fuck it. I'm I'm living homeless. This nigga on tour in Calillax and big goat chains and nigga, you the nigga's nice. He said, How the fuck can I get in this? I'm a real MC. He really looked at Shan, Shan as MC. But Karas One knew MC Shan was MC. But when he um he went ahead and did Bridges over, that automatically started beef with the Bronx. So you know Karas One is from the Boogie Down Bronx, MC Shans from Queens Bridge, all right? So you had Queens and the Bronx beefing. It did start a beef with East Burroughs. So you had the Bronx not liking Queens niggas, you had Queens niggas like not liking the Bronx. But one thing about this situation, one thing about it, KRS1, Boogie Down reduction, and the Juice Crew actually got along behind the scenes. When the when both boroughs, New York got different, you know, five barrows. So you have Queens Street niggas and and the Bronx street niggas not liking each other. So when you go to Latin quarters, what you think happened when you go to Latin quarters? You got the you got the Bronx that's there. Now, if anything anybody know anything about Manhattan, I'm from New Jersey, so this might be foreign news if you're not from up north, all right? But I'm gonna that's why you hear untold stories, so I can tell you the story. Okay, the Bronx is more closer to Manhattan than Queens. You gotta go over the water to get to Queens, all right? So when you come to Latin quarters, you're more closer to the Bronx than you are Queens. So when you had the people from Queens come to Latin quarters, you already know everybody from the Bronx is deep as fuck because it's down the street. You're not, you shit, you 20 minutes, you're not even 20 minutes from Latin Corders if you're leaving the Bronx to Manhattan. You right there. You did Manhattan and the Bronx and Harlem and all them motherfuckers. Harlem, the Bronx, all that shit is not is kind of close to each other. It depends on what part, where you're going at in um Times Square or Union Square, wherever the fuck you depending what direction. I don't know. I want I'm trying to give you guys, you know, I want everybody to sit and listen and hear the story so it can make sense. All right, so if you come from Queens, you're gonna have a problem coming to Latin quarters if you got beef, all right? Because you know you're nowhere near home. And that's one thing I love that song that um Rockim, Eric being Rock Him said, it's not where you're from, motherfucker, it's where you're at. Don't ever forget that. When anybody claim they tough, it's not where you're from, is where you're at. You can be the toughest motherfucker in your hood, but when you go somewhere, you better understand it's not where you're from, it's where you're at, baby. So the Bronx had the upper hand every time they was at Latin quarters. But being DJ Red Alerk, okay? DJ Red Alert with BDP, then you had Molly Maul, you had the Juice Crew, and you had Boogie Down production. One thing good about one thing good about Boogie Down reduction, they had the almighty Zood Nation. And Zoodo Nation was about peace. So they make sure nobody got hurt anytime Karas won and uh MC Shannon or anybody from Queens came there. If BDP was in there, they made sure it was nobody getting um niggas still was getting jumped and robbed, all right? That had nothing to do with BDP or the juice crew. That nigga is just the rhyming of Latin Courtis, you're gonna get your ass beat, your chain snatch, you're gonna get robbed in there, all right? I went there many a times. I DJ'd there back in the day when I was a little nigga, and it was wow. It was we was it was wow back before wow was wow, goddammit. But um, and it got a lot to do with this show tonight because BDP started in the world famous Latin Cordis. So Latin Cordis, you're gonna hear that club name all through the show. I can't say BDP without saying Latin Courtis. So, all right, so so alright, so it was the battle. MC Shann, I'm gonna give MC Shan, he got hard. He was he was he's slim now, he's always slim. You had all the niggas from the Bronx ready to kill MC Shann. MC Shan still went in there and battled Karas won. One thing I like about that battle, I wasn't there, but a couple of my homies, I was younger. You're gonna understand we're talking about 1988, 19. No, no, no, no. Sorry, 1986. It wasn't even 88 yet. 1986. DJ Scott Rock died in 87. So 1986, they had a battle in Lack Horse. And um and Karas won. MC Shannon, they did it. The Queens had had a people, the Bronx had they people was crazy, was no fighting. It was uni, it was unionized. And uh, you know, Chris told um, Chris, Keras One told MC Shannon, hey man, we need to do a song together. We you know, we gotta keep the hype going. You know, you know, it's all in love. But you know, Keras One and Shan never did nothing, but they did that little sprite commercial, but they really never did an official song for some apparent reason. I don't know what happened to that. They never did a song. But let's get into Scotland Rock. So Scotland Rock was definitely the brains of BDP. I'm not saying that, I'm not saying Keras One wasn't, but Scott Larock made sure things moved in the right order. He made sure that everybody was like filling the groove. He DJ'd in lag quarters, he kept it going. He made sure that everybody that was there was loving the music. See, when you DJ somewhere, to get somebody really fucking with you, you have to be in the zone. You have to be in the zone, and you have to be damn sure keeping the crowd going. Like you can't say you like punk of foot music. If I'm the DJ or DJ Money is the DJ, and we're not playing the music. We to get you into my artist music, whatever I'm DJing, I gotta make sure you stay in tune and uh in tune to whatever I'm playing. So let's get let's get this uh get this out the way. DJ Scottlerock got killed August 27, 1987. All right, August 27, 1987, and um he got shot. You know, I know what happened, but I you know I was told not to get too much into that because that they really didn't find the person that killed him. And it was not over the Queens thing, but it was over something else that I'm not gonna get. I can't get into that because that's information that I was told not to get into it. You know, you you got street politics and you have you know information that unfortunately put it like this, he didn't get killed. I will say this, he didn't get killed in Latin quarters. We can say that. And we will we will say it had nothing to do with MC Shann. It had nothing to do. Uh DJ Scottler Rock, you know, I know a lot of my people know him. I I never met him. I you know, actually, actually, a couple of my people met him, but I met I met um I met Karas One. So you know, you know, Scottler Rock was dead way before I I was really, really in the in the mix. I really got in the mix in 88, and I'm gonna stick, I'm gonna stick to that. I'm not a liar. He died in 87, that was a year before I was outside, outside. I was 80 87, I was 87, I was 12, I think, because I was starting to teach it at 13. So 87, I was 12, so I was not outside in 87. But um, I will say this. I know a lot of my people, my father knew him, my late father knew him, and a couple of my homies knew him. Uh, Bill Watson knew Scott La Rock. And we're gonna say that Scott Larrock was had heart. He definitely had a heart, and he definitely, you know, he he he he he holded down for BDP. He was not, I ain't gonna say the brains, but he, like I said, he made it happen. He made people come together. A lot of people that Chris meant, and when I say Chris, I'm talking about Chaos One. Chaos One met through Scott LaRock. Once Scott Lerock got killed, the album, the the first album, um, um Criminal Mind It was already recorded. So when he died, Criminal Mind It was already recorded. The record deal that they had was through Scott LaRock. Scott LaRock got the record deal with RCA Job Records. So let's get let's give Scott La Rock some love. Right before he died, he promised to Chris, hey man, we're gonna get out of this, get out of this shit. He had a meeting with Big Boy B B Hold on B B Boy Records. All right, B-Boy Records. All right, and he had a meeting with them. B Boy had the distribution with Job Records and RCA. The person from RCA met with Scott Larock, he like, yeah, man, you know, what's the name of the album? He said, Criminal minded like so the guy from RCA got it kind of scared when Scottler Rock said that. But um, he said, man, it's just it's just you know, that's that's how we got to think out here and up coming from the Boogeadown Bronx. So Costa back then, we're talking about the 80s. We're talking about 80, 80s, 85, 86, you know, when Scott Laroc met with the people from uh uh B-Boy Records, that was in '85, all right. My notes say '85 from the PRs and from their team. So from Job Records. So it was 85, and then they they they they said, drop a couple of singles, they dropped a couple singles, and Job Records liked it. So they did the joint venture with B-Boy Records job and RCA, and that's how criminal minded came. But see, back then, these guys wasn't into the money. All right, they were more into the fame. Now niggas is into the money. You, you know, you get in the music industry, now it's about the money, money up front. Back then, it's like, yo, who had the biggest juice? Who got the most juice? It was not really about the money. A lot of niggas back then, that's why people wondering why the old school rappers didn't have, don't have money. Like, they getting money now. Like, Kos One is getting money now, doing, you know, you know, doing everything, doing everything he got going on. He got a new book out that I want everybody to go buy. Okay. Make sure y'all give you out a website in a little bit. But uh, make make sure y'all go support Keras One and go buy the new book. I'm gonna give you all the information where to um go and get that book at the end of this show. So that's another reason. We're gonna plug in Keras One Book. And if it means if you support Keras One, you're into them. I'm gonna give you the website and um and you go and purchase Keras One Book. Make sure you tell them DJ Butterock from CX1 DJs told you to go pick up that book. Because some of you probably don't know he has a book out. That's why we're here. I'm gonna plug in the teacher, Keras One, BDP forever, baby. Yeah, so um I one thing, Scott Larock, and we're gonna keep talking about that's Scott Larock right there on the that's DJ Scott Larock. He's he's he passed away, he got murdered, all right. One thing about Scott Larock, he promised to Keros one. He said, Man, we're gonna, I'm gonna get you from this homelessness. When I'm done, you don't have to worry about being homeless. Now, people ask why didn't Scott, why didn't um Karas One wanted to live with Scott La Rock? Some people don't want everybody to know their personal business. So I'm gonna I'm assuming Keras One didn't tell Scott Larrock at that time he was homeless. Because I found about Keros One being homeless, sleeping on a train and shit like that after he blew up. He was coming up the ladder. Nobody knew that Keras One was in the group home and he was homeless. I ain't fucking know that until once he blew up. Once Criminal Mind came out, that was the story. You gotta understand something. His music industry, I don't give a fuck if it's from 1988 to 2026. You gotta have a fucking story. Why should we buy your records? Why should we even buy your merch? Why should we come to your concerts? What is your story? Who the fuck are you? Karas won't had a story, so he used his story, and then his DJ, producer, Scott, DJ Scott LaRock, got murdered right when the album came out. And you already know the album sold four million copies. Back in 19 when the album came out, came out in 87, child. That album sold 4 million copies in 1987. Criminal Mining was one of the biggest albums on Job Records, and then blew Karas one the fuck up. Now, how much money did Karas one take home? Don't ask me no questions. Them niggas was so hungry to get, don't ask me, I won't tell you no lie. They were so hungry to get a record deal. Back then, it wasn't about, I must tell y'all something. Listen to me. Okay? It was not about, you gotta understand why people will all be shitting. People be always shitting. Slow down, buttery, you talking to fast. We can't get it. Maybe slow down. People always get on why the old school rappers is so bitter. Number one, when we see these new motherfuckers in the game rapping about shit, not making sense. Shit sounds ratchet as hell, but we do respect it because the young people like it. But the old people's like, yo, we you know, you don't know what we what we have to give up for y'all to be here. That's why some of these old school rappers is bitter. Not saying they don't respect the young people, it's just more like we played, we paid the way for y'all, young people, to make the millions of dollars you make it now, and you do not you do not respect the older rappers. So CX1 DJs, we do things different podcasts and the untold stories. We get back to the old, the new in the up and coming. So I will, I will, I will definitely advise everybody that we're watching this YouTube channel. We don't just we are not one way, we're not one-sided. We we get back to the old school, new school, um-coming, the underground. This is the DJ crew that you want to be tapped in with. And we're gonna we're not gonna we're not gonna focus on all the haters. We will say fuck you haters, but and this is uncut, so it's it's gonna be cursing sometimes. I might say fuck a couple people, but I don't listen to me. I ain't saying fuck you yet, so don't get offended. Now back to the back to DJ Scott LaRock. Scott LaRocque. I love Scott LaRock. So, me growing up on BDP, Scott LaRock was a real DJ. He was a real producer. He's not on Earth tonight because what he believed in. Now, I can't get into what happened. I just would tell you guys he got murdered, and it had nothing to do. I want to I want to clarify it, because everybody thought he got murdered from beefing with uh with the bridge and the other, no, it had nothing to do with MC Shann, the juice crew, or BDP. It had nothing to do with Boogie Damn reduction and the juice crew. I know everybody, everybody back, even when I was growing up, they're like, yeah, man, the Queens niggas killed our brother. No. It was some personal shit. It was some personal shit why Scott Rock is not here today. And I tell everybody, when you go home after you after you get up work, after you do your job, after you DJ at that club, after you get in the studio, after you do that show, you always gotta go home to the personal shit. You cannot outbeat the personal shit. Now, everybody wanna act like they are a superstar, they don't got a real life, and it's not personal shit could take you out of here. It can either bring you in prison, jail, or death. So I I ask everybody to stay in prayer. Because everybody, and I mean everybody, including my black ass, got personal shit going on. And that shit could go crazy if you let it go crazy. And keep your head, get keep stay dangerous, stop, stop acting like everything is good. And shout out to my shout out to Batabia, shout out to Lawania, shout out to everybody that's on here. I don't want everybody to stay dangerous because people thinking that they got this, they got that, and they don't gotta stay prayed up. You always gotta stay prayed up because shit could change in a minute. And keep God person stop if you acting out here acting like a devil and acting like you um is better in that one, that this won't happen to you, or you mean in that one, you mean in this one. God can hear you, and whatever you got going on that could turn into some other shit or some other shit come up, and you got it, he gives you God will give you oxy like shit that you gotta accomplish. Like you gotta go through. And Scott Laroc had to go through some shit. But one thing I will say about Scott Larock doing my research, he was very He was very boastful. He was like, man, fuck y'all niggas. We are the one. And a lot of hate now. That's Scottarock right there. That's DJ Scottarock right there. A lot of these hate motherfuckers do not like you to have a heart. They don't want you to be um speak up for yourself. They don't want to tell you. They don't want you to tell them that you number one. Because they're like, right, nigga, if I kill you, nigga, you number nothing. And if you ain't on earth, how can you be number one? You dead, right? So RP to DJ Scott LaRock. I wanna I wanna say that. And I love Scott LaRocca. I love Keras One. He got a new book out. We're gonna I'm gonna talk about that in a minute. Um we're gonna get into the video part of this and um and then we're gonna do our announcements. And you notice I got right into this. I had to do my announcements about the crooked ass police and shit. Uh shit. Yeah. And uh shout out to Bill Watson. Shout out to everybody that supports CX1 DJ's DJ Butter Rock. Let's get into the video part of this um program. Uh this untold stories of BDP. Let's go, yo. I love everybody.

Saying lots like that, man, you know them can't live.

SPEAKER_01

So, the crazy press lyrically cut up.

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_04

Shout out, shout, raw, shut up.

SPEAKER_01

We don't shut shelf. I'm gonna pick these lyrics, y'all. Let's do it. Many smoke to me this now is terrific, it is kind of different, left and specific, parents crystallized in music. I only use this type of style with a shoe.

SPEAKER_00

You was calling L L out like you did my style.

SPEAKER_06

He never did, you know that. But see, he wasn't in the gladiator school we came from. He was he was too big. Whatever you do. Whatever that is. Uh never asked it. But you on the other hand, is a gladiator, battle ready, battle scarred, and I'm still ready. We still got one more song. We got your we got one more song we gotta do together.

You act like I'm gonna call you off the house. No, I'm still ready, yo. Cause if you wouldn't have made that stupid record, we wanna see a history right now. Kill and kill that noise! Stop bros! Kill it, kill that noise. Yo, see, but this nah this is just a lesson to all of those out there, Chris. You know what I'm saying? That they ain't they don't have the idea that yo, you can do this on record and you can still sit on the same couch.

SPEAKER_03

Yo, what's up, Blastmaster China S1? Yo, what up D nice? Yo, what's up? I wanna take a little slump about us. With a book and I'm a depth and group. And do the flip because no one else I didn't know what time it was. Let's play a little bit about where we come from.

unknown

This time we still promo.

SPEAKER_04

This time I'm promoted, this time I promoted, it's not a promo, this number promo.

SPEAKER_05

Many people tell me this style isn't terrific, it is kinda different, but let's get specific. KRS1 specializing in music. I only use this type of style when I choose it. Party people in the place that be KRS1 attack. You got dropped off MCA because the runs you wrote was whack. So you think that hip hop has been stuck out in Queens Bridge? If you put that junk up in the bumps, you might not live. Cause you know it's the problem, this out of selling problems, it's the promise, this time, it's a problem, this out of stellar phone, it's the promise, this time, the game is got La Rock to express one day. I am a teacher and other kids that's the final one that's well, but I'm a fancy assumed man. This is the full up now, it's so good. And what it meant to DJ Stop, we'll begin to speak.

SPEAKER_07

CX1 DJs, we do things different podcasts, man. RP to my brother Scott LaRock. Uh, you know, thank you everybody for coming out. And I'm gonna tell you the D nice is doing a lot of big things, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, D nice came from y'all see D nice all through COVID and you know, uh you know DJ and Paul, you know, on on all the social media and getting them and getting them real good. DJ Obama. D Nice came a long way from BDP, and he's still number one. Let's talk about the CX1 DJ DJ Music Conference. All right, the CX1 DJ Music Conference, all right, for Anderson Sakhalina. Like I told everybody, it's gonna be um it's gonna be August the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. Make sure you get your tickets if you don't have your tickets. Go to JonesGraphics44.com. Atlanta, Georgia will be August, uh, August 12th to the 15th. And that is the Atlanta Flyer right there. Y'all can look on there, and uh, that's the Atlanta Flyer. And it kind of looked like the Anderson Flyer. We actually gonna be switching up the uh the Atlanta Flyer, but I just want everybody to see that flyer real quick. I'm gonna blow it up real quick so everybody can see it. Yeah, so Atlanta be August 12th to the 15th and uh 1 p.m. to 12 p.m. And them tickets is on sale now. The the you if you if you're trying to go and perform in Anderson, that would be August 5th to the 8th. It's same prices, so you can actually buy, you know, you know, same prices now. Just what we got for Tennessee. We are closing down a couple other deals, and the prices for Tennessee is not $40 again, it's $80 to get $80 entry. And I will have that location tomorrow. You know, Bill Watts is still finalizing that, so I'll be talking about that tomorrow. And that, but I do have the dates. I think I got the dates. Hold on. I think Bill just text me. Hold on for a minute. I do know the prices for Tennessee is gonna be a little higher. So everybody uh make sure you save up. You got time to save up. I'm gonna give you, I do got the dates. We don't gotta wait till tomorrow. Hold on for a minute, I got the dates. Uh Tennessee, I need everybody to understand this. Put this in your fucking calendar. It's only one day in Tennessee. Uh Atlanta and uh Anderson is four days. It's gonna be November 14th, right? And it's gonna be Knoxville, Tennessee. The the the venue, you know, we give the venue out closer to that, but we got the venue, but we don't give out the venue due to haters and shit like that. When you pay your money, you like you paid your money, you get the venue. But anyway, it's $80 to get in, and everybody gotta pay, every CX1 DJ's gotta pay. If I told you you, you know, it's whatever, whatever, I'll talk to you behind the scenes. But everybody, it's nothing to talk behind the scenes. Everybody gotta pay the entry fee. It's only one day. And that's gonna be November 14, Knoxville, Tennessee. November 14th, Knoxville, Tennessee. I'm gonna say this again. November 14, Knoxville, Tennessee. Entry tickets is $80. Everything, everything, the performance is higher, entry is higher, it's one day, and it's gonna be real crazy. But the time do stay the same, 1 p.m., 1 p.m. uh to 12 a.m. uh Tennessee time. And um that's gonna be crazy because it's gonna be one day, it's gonna be an all-day festival, music conference, CX1 DJs. And that's what that's our I'll call that our grand finale. That we do we we're doing three of these. But the last one is gonna only gonna be one day, not four days, being it's November, and it's gonna be closer to Christmas and close to Thanksgiving. So we're not gonna do no draw it out, um, draw it out like four days. We're not gonna do that. So keep in mind Tennessee is only one day. So uh you got you gotta you guys got enough time to plan. And I'm and um, it's mandatory for every CX1 DJ to be there. So if you're not there, you're fired. I don't need if you can't come to some of these major events, I don't need you a part of the team. And I mean it. And everybody do gotta pay. This the money goes to back into the CX1 DJs so we can keep the ball rolling, all right? Keep the ball rolling. Also, I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna thank Batabia, I'm gonna thank T Cap, I wanna thank uh I wanna thank um um um Lawondia, and I'm gonna thank uh Troy Wallace, I'm gonna thank Bill Watson, I wanna thank Tiffany, I'm gonna thank Julia Simmons for buying Punkinfoot's new album. Now, DJ Money, you gotta buy that album, brother. Everybody brought it. And I ain't trying to put you on the spot. The album is $25 that you can use the same Cash App that you've been using. Show Show Love to Punkin' Foot. I even though you got even if you niggas got the album, I just need to ready to buy it. We re-uh re-released it. We trying to cut out all the distributors because her music is already out on major platforms. But we trying to is direct the consumer, right? We're trying to make sure Punkinfoot Dependent Girl uh you know make the money that she deserves. She's been in the game since 2008, 2008 out here working hard, doing what you gotta do. All money goes to Punker Put. CX1 DJs don't keep the money, we give all the money to Punker Fut, all right? So if you guys got the cash app, go ahead and buy it. Now understand you make make sure you keep that date now. I want nobody to act like they know. And everybody gotta get paid $40. Uh no, I'm tripping. $80 to get in November. At the Knoxville, Tennessee, it's $80. $18. No waiving the fee. Everybody gotta pay it. Uh, you know, if you quick as quick as possible, Bill Wise and this said when it gets closer to the like September, he might go up on a price because we're gonna be getting some you're gonna be getting us a lot of special guests. And this this show right here is sponsored by Jones Graphics and Watson Printing. So the one in Tennessee, the last one is by Jones Graphics and Watson Printing. The Atlanta show and uh Anderson is Jones Graphics LLC, Watson Printon, and uh a couple other my ED Entertainment. But the last show, the last finale, I'll call it the finale November 14, Knoxville, Tennessee, is gonna be crazy. All right. So um, you know, you know, shout out to shout out to Skeletor.
