Here is a designed prototype for a safety device to protect children or animals left unattended in a locked car. This device is a safety-focused mechanism installed on the car door to address situations where a child or pet is left alone in a locked vehicle under dangerous conditions. It integrates a heat sensor and a camera inside the car to constantly monitor the temperature and detect signs of life when the vehicle is locked or when the driver is not seated in the driver's seat. A barcode placed on the exterior of the car door can be scanned by a passerby, which opens a mobile app. This app allows the person to take photographic evidence proving that a vulnerable child or animal is inside the car in distress. Upon confirmation of danger through the sensors and app interaction, the device can automatically unlock the door to provide immediate access. Additionally, if a hazardous condition is detected and the driver is not present, the system automatically alerts authorities to ensure a timely rescue, especially if no passerby intervenes. This prototype aims to facilitate immediate action to prevent harm to children and pets trapped in overheated cars, combining real time environmental monitoring with a clear, accountable method for intervention and support.
