Katie answers Gabriella’s question about why online offers are harder to sell and map a path that works now. The heart of it: build real community and lead with passion, using AI as a tool, not a voice.

• why information no longer sells on its own
• making community the core product, not an add-on
• human-to-human touchpoints across Zoom, WhatsApp and voice notes
• live coaching as a driver of trust and conversion
• choosing topics from passion and lived experience
• translating deep interests into clear, relevant promises
• using AI for notes and admin, not for ideas or voice
• structuring programmes for accountability and momentum

Okay, the next question comes from Gabriella, and she says that she feels stuck in terms of her online offerings. It seems a lot more difficult to sell online offerings. Where should I be taking my focus? This is a good question because I do think in the last year or 18 months, the world of online offerings has changed enormously because of the advent of AI. And these days, information is no longer of value like it used to be. You know, when I first started teaching yoga and I had my yoga studios and I ran teacher training 25 years ago, information was premium currency. Like I would go to India to study with my teachers, I would go to libraries and look up books that were unusual or difficult to get because we were hungry for knowledge. We were hungry for information. These days, with ChatGPT and AI, everything's available, you know, at the tip of our fingers. So knowledge alone, information alone is not enough. You are definitely not going to make money with an online offering that just sells content because people can get it for free and they can get it tailored to their own specific needs and they can get their questions answered, etc. etc. But this does not mean that online offerings are dead. I'm still running a really successful online business. I'm generating good income both in the business world and in my yoga and Ayurveda world. And there's two reasons for that. These are the two keys. Number one, building community, having person-to-person engagement. And that can be online, it can be on Zoom, but having a sense of interaction, support, um, yeah, community, sisterhood, that's absolutely key because you can't replace that with chat GPT. You can't replace real life conversations, real life questions. Um, you know, for this project, Edwina and I could have got Chat GPT to generate a bunch of questions, but we didn't. We asked real women, like, what are your questions? What's happening in your business? And we're answering those, you know, in a real-life community-based um situation. So that's what you need to do to be successful online. You need to actually engage human to human. That can happen through WhatsApp, it can happen through Telegram, it can happen live on Zoom, it can happen through audio voice notes, like I'm doing now. It doesn't even have to be live in real time, it just has to be human. Um, and I would say live in real time is obviously optimum. Like when we run our group coaching programs, the Yoga Business Accelerator, we're definitely doing that, you know, live in real time, interactive, talking to women directly about their specific businesses. That is what will have you create a really successful online offering. The second piece, um, and I think this is really important too. You ask the question, where should I be taking my focus? And my answer to that is forget about what you think is marketable or what people are interested in, or you know, it's difficult to sell. So, what should I be selling? Instead, turn inward. What are you passionate about? What are you excited about? What is lighting you up right now? Um, I sell a program called Goddess Codes, and a large chunk of that is about the goddess Kali. And the reason that I created that entire program is because I've been to India so many times. I've spent time in the Kali temples, I read about Kali, I pray to Kali, I chant to Kali, I'm interested in the Kali stories and the Kali energy, and all of that comes through in the transmissions that I offer. So, no, very few of my clients and my students are thinking, oh, I really want to learn more about Kali. How can I learn about Goddess Kali? But when they see me offering something about feminism and the patriarchy and being energized as a woman and saying no to perpetration, and that's under the umbrella of the Kali energy, they're like, oh yeah, I'm really interested in that. I want some of that. And what they're actually signing up for is my passion, my excitement, my interest, my lived experience. So I'm sharing from my own internal sourcing of excitement. And that's what everyone should be doing who wants to share something online. Um, we should be minimizing how much we get Chat GPT to create our content for us. I mean, use it in smart ways. Like, you know, Edwina and I are recording these audios from our hearts, from our lived experience, from our personal opinions. And then, of course, we're getting AI to help write the notes. I'm not gonna sit there and transcribe the notes when I can get AI to do it in you know, two seconds. Um, so use AI, definitely, it can be really handy, um, but don't use it to create content or create your ideas or to generate um, you know, what you're gonna be sharing with your people uh as a first point of call. You want it to come from your heart, your experience, what you're doing in your life, what you're excited about, because the passion that comes through in your teaching then is what will magnetize people to your offerings.
