Thanks for listening to Wine Between Whines 🥂
Welcome to Wine Between Wines, the podcast where we talk real life, real talk, motherhood, and everything in between. It's honest, unfiltered, and sometimes chaotic, but always with a cheeky poor.
SPEAKER_02Pull up a seat, pour a glass, and let's get into it.
SPEAKER_00Hello, welcome back.
SPEAKER_02Hello everyone. Long time.
SPEAKER_01Long time no talk.
SPEAKER_02Long time no speak.
SPEAKER_01Seriously. We were actually just saying that we haven't seen each other probably since we recorded the last one, which is unusual. Yeah. And I'm like, it's been so unintentional. Like we haven't intended to not record. But life's just been laughing. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's been busy.
SPEAKER_01Busy.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01And we've got a lot happening. Yeah. We haven't even like like you like as in like you literally just got here and then we've sort of just jumped in. So this episode, we're kind of just gonna like catch up with each other and you guys can listen if you want.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. What's been happening?
SPEAKER_01Should we start with our win now once? Yes. Alright, you go first.
SPEAKER_02Okay, my win. My win is that I feel like we've just been having really wholesome weekends with like family. Like funnies, uncles, yeah, grandparents. Like we haven't really been doing much at all, but just consistent catch-ups with people.
SPEAKER_01That's so nice, isn't it?
SPEAKER_02Which has been nice because like we haven't had like set plans, but then it's just kind of happened.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, so yeah. Um, anyway, what's your win?
SPEAKER_01My win is um big news for the Brooks family. Yeah, we are fingers crossed, fingers crossed, we are moving. We're staying in vendigo, but we have sold our house and we've bought a new one.
SPEAKER_02So exciting.
SPEAKER_01So exciting. It has been fucking, it's been a lot.
SPEAKER_02Like we literally, this is the last conversation we had, and it wasn't on the podcast when I saw you last.
SPEAKER_01Literally, yeah, yes, it's the last time we had seen the house that day. Yes, that's right. We had seen the house that day. So, anyway, yes, we've bought um another property, um, which is on like 20 acres still in Medigo. But um, yeah, so we have had an offer accepted on like both houses, that house and this house. But um, yeah, we're just waiting for this to fully go through. Um, but yeah, feeling pretty confident about it now. But so exciting, very exciting. It feels like it's like all the feels. Like, I'm so excited because living on like more land is what we want, and you know, but selling this house is like sad, like we bought our kids back here, like you know, from the hospital, like this has been our home, like it's like very bittersweet, yeah. But and I like I love our house, I love it so much, and I just hope the people who are buying it love it as much as we do, but um, yeah, very exciting. So big change, yeah, because you know, this is well, we built this house, it was brand new when we moved in, and we're moving into a house that's like over 100 years old, so love um, but yeah, very exciting.
SPEAKER_02Lots of updates to come with that, yes, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, so what's your wine?
SPEAKER_02Um, my wine is that I've had a little bit of a cold this week, which has just knocked me around a bit. Um, we all kind of have, but for some reason I get it worse than like anyone else.
SPEAKER_01Um I feel like there's so much going on at the moment.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I actually feel like I was lucky last year and kind of dodged a lot of stuff. And to be fair, like this this time hasn't been horrible, but I just feel like I've been like so congested and um just like you know when your throat feels all like clogged up and just yucky. Um but anyway, I'm feeling better now.
SPEAKER_01That's good. My wine is Love Island's finished, and like I just don't know what to do in life.
SPEAKER_02I know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. That also feel like it feels like felt like it went really like quick towards the end. It does feel like a long season, but towards the end it kind of just felt like it was I don't know, just like Yeah, like done? Done, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because I was watching one of them do like a podcast or something interview, and they were saying, like, oh you know, you're in there for ten weeks, and I was like, surely I did not just watch that for ten weeks.
SPEAKER_02No, ten weeks, like surely not. Hang on, wait, so now what one's on now? When when will the Australian one be on next?
SPEAKER_01I think that's normally on, yeah, like after the UK one, yeah. End of the year, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. God, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, what do you think about the uh winners? Well that got spoiled for both of us, didn't I?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it did, yeah. I was annoyed. Um it doesn't surprise me because like he was a fan favourite. I love Lorenzo, I really but them as a couple, I don't think they deserve to win as a couple.
SPEAKER_02What do you think about her? Nah, I I'm not on her. Yeah, I was the same. I'm like, when people start getting into people's business so much like that, I just can't remember that.
SPEAKER_01That whole conversation that she did have with Aiden about Priya was so wrong.
SPEAKER_02It's just so unnecessary. People went even when she said to him, um, what's your what'd she say? What's who's your preference or whatever, whatever she said. Yeah. And then he was like, Priya, like confidently, and she was like, Oh. Yeah. I'm like, you're literally coming over. You don't even know this chick, you've known her for literally. The one she was sticking up for.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um I could I what was her name as well?
SPEAKER_02I didn't like Julia Yulia.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, sorry, the one she was sticking for. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But also, was her name Julia or Julia?
SPEAKER_01Julia, and a part I saw something that he just kept saying Julia to piss her off.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, like wind her up. Yeah. Um that other chick's name was I started with T, didn't it? Alyssa? Alysia. Alicia. Yeah, yes.
SPEAKER_01She was a didn't like it. But what about in have you seen the they're all on like the morning show or something like that, like all the finalists, and Yulia and Lorenzo have like a bit of like an argument on there. Have you seen that interview? I think I've seen that.
SPEAKER_02Is that when the interview when um they say to Cavi your boyfriend and girlfriend about him and Jazz? And he's like, Oh, not yet.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that might be. I've seen snippets on TikTok, but I've got interviewers whoever they were. They weren't very good, that was a bit. But um, yeah, they were like, Oh, and it's like, you know, what have you guys been up to? Blah blah blah. And they were like, Oh, Yulia was like, Well, this is the first time we've seen each other, like, what have you been doing? Like, you've had time to sit in bed and like other girls' photos.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01I was like, Whoa. And then they went to like Jasmine Cav and they were like, Oh, we're the opposite, we literally haven't left each other's side.
SPEAKER_02The funniest part about Yulia and Lorenzo is that he is so chill, yeah, and like just seems like the least dramatic person ever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, just so true.
SPEAKER_02She is like obviously loves the drama. Obviously, that's her personality, but it's like, how does that how does it work?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, but anyway, I can't believe um, yeah, that it like is finished and that they said that it went for 10 weeks. But anyway, I yeah, have kind of just been like not knowing what to watch.
SPEAKER_02I know. Well, we've actually watched a few things lately. What have you been watching? We just finished Um I Will Find You. Oh, I did watch that. That was so good. I also I know. I actually was not expecting that at all. I and when actually, if you haven't watched this, skip.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, skip.
SPEAKER_02But if you um when it came out that it was him, I didn't I thought he was just helping his mum. I didn't think that he was actually the do you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Like the only time that I started to think him was when they went in and saw that it was under her name, under the sister's name, when they went into the clinic. Only then I was like I can't even think of that. I was like, oh maybe yeah, but that n not until after um he's done him went over to the island, yeah, and then when they didn't have him, yeah, then it was only then that I started thinking maybe it could have been whatever his name was.
SPEAKER_02But um we also watched Toxic Love Story.
SPEAKER_01Oh, what's that on?
SPEAKER_02That's a on Netflix documentary. Okay. It's only a one episode, but one whole show.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, but that was really good as well. And really twisted and obviously a true story.
SPEAKER_01See, the true stories get me a little bit because I'm like like as in like scary. Scary, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But this one is like freaky, because I'm exactly the same. I have to really be in the right headspace to watch it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Especially because we watched up at night, so it's like before bed. But this one, it was kind of like it's very twisted, but it's about like obviously a couple and like an ex. So it's not like really scary as in like I watched the Idaho Murders.
SPEAKER_01Did you watch that? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And see that I was like, I'm glad I've watched this in broad daylight.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like I that is one that I couldn't. All over that, like watching it on TikTok and stuff when it first happened, but I don't know, I haven't been able to watch the documentary yet.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I actually watched that um one day when I was feeling crap, and I watched it during the day.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And um I kind of like skimmed through parts because it went for freaking ages.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I just wanted to know, you didn't really find out.
SPEAKER_01Well, stuff that you don't know already. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But like you didn't really ever find out like what he's voted, like why he did that.
SPEAKER_01Well, did you see that he's wanting to like reopen the case?
SPEAKER_02Oh really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he reckons that his lawyer or whatever, like informed him to plead guilty wrong.
SPEAKER_02Well, I thought it was really unfair because he he was allowed, sorry, he was meant to get the death penalty. Yeah. And he was allowed to choose, well, like as in his lawyer obviously said to, but he was allowed to have the option to just plead guilty and then he doesn't get the death penalty. And like all the family were like raging about that because they're like, why does he even get a choice to do that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, but yeah, it was pretty intense. But also I'm just like just so messed up.
SPEAKER_01Like Yeah, and I saw something that like they think he was after one of the girls in particular. Yeah. And like the others were almost like. Yes, actually, I saw that too.
SPEAKER_02It didn't say anything about that, but I did see that. Yeah. Um, and I mean he he was going back and forth to wherever they were for months. Yeah. But like had nothing there. Like he lived however far away. So he kept going back and forth doing things. So he was obviously maybe following one of them. Following, yeah, one of them. And then once that he did that, he never returned. Like in the time, obviously, until they found him. Yeah. But he never returned back there. Yeah, so he was literally doing it for.
SPEAKER_01And did he go to the same school as it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, I don't know if it was the same school as them, because he went to the same school as some of the siblings. And like they didn't go to the same school, I don't think, as their own. Because like, um I think it was like that Ethan guy's cousin. She's like, when they showed a photo of him, I was like, holy shit, that's the guy that's been sitting next to me in her class. Oh, yeah. So, like, and then same with Xannah, Xana's sister, it was in her class. So, like, I don't know if they were all in the same I don't know. Weird, yeah. Yeah, I don't know, it was just very messed up. Yeah, what the fuck? And then it was showing like footage of them, like, you know, just before they went home, and I'm like, how crazy is that like that just happened after that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, like after they'd just been out with their friends. Yeah, and like the two of the girls, like so. Apparently, he went to like one of their bedrooms, whoever, I don't know if it was like Maddie or like whoever it was, but he went to like the one he was after pretty much. The one he was talking, he went to her room first, and she wasn't in there because she was like sleeping in the room with their friends, like after they'd been out of the start. Yeah, and so that whichever one of them it was, Maddie or um Kaylee. I don't know who it was that he was really after.
SPEAKER_02But then I'm confused why because he saw that Dylan chick.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they saw each other, and I saw something on maybe he maybe he was like, I've been in here too long, there's been a lot of screams like the police are coming. Yeah, true. But he saw her, yeah, and she went back to her room. And like, don't you reckon it's so weird how she went back to her room and she was with someone else, or she called someone and they didn't call the police so long?
SPEAKER_02It was 12 hours or something by the time they called the police. I don't know. That's what they were saying in the thing, but then a lot of the police were like, you know, such a traumatic thing. Like sometimes people just go into complete, like, you know, that's what did she do?
SPEAKER_01Did she just not leave her room at all?
SPEAKER_02I mean, she mustn't have. And I didn't realise that one of the other friends, oh sorry, no, no, no. So they called two other friends to come over to check the house, but like didn't call the police. And then that poor friend, like one of the guys, walked in and saw them like dead.
SPEAKER_01And did they then call the police?
SPEAKER_02Yes, that's when they called the police, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_02And it took that long because they didn't end up coming over until like the next morning or whatever. Because it happened at like 4 a.m. or something, and then it wasn't until like the actual morning when they called the other friends that they had, and then the guy like did room search and he only looked in one, which was Xanna and Ether's and saw that. So when the police came and they're talking to him, he was just like like so traumatized, it was actually so fucked.
SPEAKER_01Because they said whichever one of the girls it was was like the one that was like the most brutally attacked.
SPEAKER_02Okay, uh Xanna. Yeah, because Xana was the one that was um Xanna was the one that was stabbed like 57 times because she had defense wounds, so she was like really trying to fight back. Oh, okay, so maybe but then Maddie and Kaylee. I'm pretty sure he was after Maddie. I'm pretty sure he had like I don't know, a fantasy about Maddie or something. Yeah. Um I'm pretty sure like they were still stabbed like in the 30s, but it was just because Xanna was like fully fighting back that she had so many more stab wounds. And yeah, Kaylee, Maddie got killed in front of Kaylee.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Because they were in bed together. And like Kaylee woke up because they were both asleep, and Kaylee woke up to Maddie being killed, and then she got killed. Like, how fucked up is that?
SPEAKER_01So fucked.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, I that's the only reason I actually watched it the other day, because it was like during the day, and yeah, the boys were with um Nikki, and I was just like, if I don't watch this now, I'm not gonna watch it. No, yeah. Like things about people getting into a house, I just can't.
SPEAKER_01I know so scary.
SPEAKER_02Like it's just so freaky.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um but it was good, like as in to actually understand what happened.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But so far.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, people are so there's some twist between that there. Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Um what else have I watched? I feel like I watched another one that was really good. I feel like we watched something before the toxic toxic life story.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I feel like I watched something on Prime, but I can't remember what it was. Um, and then at the moment I'm watching My Life of the Walter Boys. Have you watched that? No.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like I feel like I might have is that on um Netflix? I feel like I might have seen like the stippet.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of like the team version of um off-campus. No, of um The Summer I Turn Pretty. Oh yeah, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, I actually need something else like off-campus, like just a light-hearted. It's very summer I turn pretty.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I would watch that. Then it's very easy watch, lighthearted, soppy, like you know, high school love.
SPEAKER_02I need some of that because ours have been quite dark like that.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and I think after like the I'll find you one, that it's a nice, yeah, nice breakup to watch that. So that's been keeping me occupied watching that. But yeah, I just feel like when the kids go to bed at night, I'm just like, I just need this time to like sit and watch something.
SPEAKER_02I love album's so good though, because it's just so trashy and easy to watch. Yeah. Drama. Yeah, and you're just like you go to bed on a high, and I just don't love it. It's so good.
SPEAKER_01Um I have not been going like my sleep has just been shit. Like I just haven't been going to sleep till so late. Like, I'm just wide awake and I don't know why. And then, like, even when like I've like finish watching TV and then I like get into bed, I'm just still sitting there, yeah. And then I don't know, Eastie will come in like at like I don't know, 6 30 or whatever, and then I'm like so tired because I've like literally had like four hours sleep. Once I get to sleep, I'm okay, but I'm just getting wired and I think it's also because I'm like, this is like me time, so I'm like really trying to have all the me time.
SPEAKER_02That's the hardest part, I reckon, because there's some nights where I'm so tired and I'm like, all I want to do it's like nine o'clock, and I'm like, wouldn't it be so good to go to sleep right now? Like I never go to sleep this early, but then you want that time to like watch a show or just like chill out.
SPEAKER_01Because otherwise you go to sleep and then like you know, the kids wake up in the morning and then it's just like it starts again.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm exactly the same. Yeah, like we never go to bed at a normal time because we're like we want to watch this, or we want to watch this, or yeah, we want to just talk to each other, or yeah, yeah. I want to just I don't know, have a bath on my own impeachment.
SPEAKER_01Literally, and how are the boys going with their sleep?
SPEAKER_02Um they're sleeping together. They're well they are like they start on the couch uh still for anyone that hasn't listened. Yes, they do have beds, they just don't like them.
SPEAKER_01I just love it. I think it's hard to do that.
SPEAKER_02No, it is cute, but um the last few nights oh not last night, but the last like couple of weeks, I've just said to Levi, I'm just gonna bet gonna go to bed with them because we've got the red light in our room now, and like that's like natural melatonin. Yeah, like it helps them pass out. Does it? So we've been getting them to go get into our bed, and I'm not kidding when I say they'll be passed out in like 20 minutes, half an hour. So I've been saying to Levi, let's just watch our show in the kitchen, because normally we'd get them to bed, go, then go watch our show. But I've been getting them to go into our room, get them just like you know, get them to wind down, whatever, and then we'll go watch our show, and then I go in there asleep. But then instead of like moving them, I'm like, I'm just gonna go to bed with them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because like we all have a soul asleep, and then otherwise they're just gonna come in and exactly anyway.
SPEAKER_02So Levi should be sleeping in Beckham's room, yeah, which is great. Um, but when we watch these shows, I want him to be very true. Because like I hate having the front door right near our room. Yeah, but I don't know, I'm just like, and he is like the heaviest sleeper that I can. If someone like smashed the front door and or got into our front door, like I'm in here with two kids, yeah, and like you're down there, I'm gonna have to, you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so like this is the shit I think about as much watch these shows. And we're the same, like our our rooms at the front of the house, but the boys' rooms are at the back. So I'm always like, if somebody comes in the back door, yeah, and then if they go into their room, like I've got so far to get to them, and like whatever.
SPEAKER_02Like other people, can you let us know if other people think this? Because this is honestly a thing I think about all the time.
SPEAKER_01All the time, and this must be like you know, this is probably back to the intrusive thought thing, but I think about this all the time. Or if there's a fire, yes, you know, like if the fire starts at the back of the house, like you know, that's a long time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Um, so yeah, I ideally that's yeah, ideally, I like live by sleeping in the bed just because I feel like I don't know, I feel a bit safer.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, but I mean it's bed fine.
SPEAKER_01At least we've all had good sleep. Exactly, yeah. Um yeah, Easty's been a lot better. Where is what's walkie doing with his nap?
SPEAKER_02He doesn't have one anymore.
SPEAKER_01Not at all. Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Unless he falls asleep. Yeah. So like sometimes, like, you know, if we're out, he'll fall asleep at like three o'clock, and I'll just let him have like I'll just sit in the car for 20 minutes now and just let him have a little nap. Yeah. Um, but yeah, he kind of just got to the point where because at the start, when he tried to drop it, it was like didn't make a difference. Whereas now it's been really good because they go to get into our bed early, yeah, he'll be asleep. And once he's asleep, like he's so different to Bex. Bex wakes up so many times, walkers out, yeah. Like you don't see him until I mean unless he's on the couch, then he'll wake up and realize Beck's happening. Yeah, but like if I'm next to him, he's just good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, but yeah, no nap.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, East is the same, no nap, but like on the occasion, yeah, he'll sort of fall asleep. Yeah, today he probably actually really needed a nap, so I'm not sure if he had one. Yeah. Um, but yeah, and he's sort of been I don't know, he's a bit hit and miss. Like he'll always go to sleep in his bed. We usually just like read him a book and he'll fall asleep actually reading books because he's so tired now because he's not having a nap. Um, and then sometimes he'll come in through the night and Brooksy will go down with him. Yeah. Sometimes he won't come in till the morning, just I don't know, whatever. But yeah, we got rid of his dummy this week. Um, Dummy Ferry Kane, which is big for him. It's so exciting. Although I say it's big for him, and he has just been so fine about it. Like I was like not concerned about it. Like I was kind of just letting him go. But I was like, when he turned three, I was like, I probably should like, and he literally turned three like a week ago, but I was like, three sort of seems like when I should start maybe cutting it off, and like there's no right or wrong. No. Like, I just I don't know why that was just sort of in my head. And like, I don't know, he not not that it matters, and it doesn't matter what people think and what other people are doing, but he he was also the only one in like my initial like parents' group, you know, like when we all had those kids. Like he's the only one in that group that still had a dummy. Yeah, and again, not that it matters, but like it I don't know, it makes it um because he only had it when he slept, didn't he? Not like he was walking around with it in his mouth or anything, yeah. But um, I just was like, I sort of started mentioning the dummy fairy and blah blah blah, and initially he was like, no, like no, and I was like, I'm not gonna push it, like I don't really care. And like I just sort of felt bad taking it away from him, like it's his comfort. Yeah, but anyway, the other night I mentioned it again. Um, because I was like, because you know you're three now, and like you know, you're a big boy, and you know, he is very on like he's not a baby, like will not have like has to have a glass plate, yeah. Oh yeah, not a glass plate, but yeah, but like has to have like a big knife for like everything. So I'm like, you know, like you're a big boy, you've got all these big boy things, and he's like, Yeah, and then he goes, I said, So you know, maybe the dummy furry might come, like, and he goes, Yeah, dummy furry can come tonight, and I was like, Tonight, and he goes, Yeah, and this is at like you know, it's seven o'clock, but they're getting ready for bed. And I was like, Yeah, no worries, go get your dummies, put them on the table. He's like, Okay, yeah, brings him out and puts them on the table, and I was like, So thank fuck Kmart's open till ten o'clock because I had to go out there and like try and get some presents for him.
SPEAKER_02I was like, wait, you have to go get the colour.
SPEAKER_01No, sorry, yeah, because the dummy fairy, what we did was he left his dummies out for the dummy fairy and the dummy fairy left him with present. Right, yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's a good idea. Yeah, it is one of those things though, isn't it? I feel like it's kind of like toilet training where it's like when they're ready, they just do it. Whereas like you try so hard and like they're not ready, and then it's like it just ends up more effort.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and like upsets them, and then like yeah, yeah, and then I feel like if you have to go back, yeah, then it's like confusing for them. So anyway, he has been so good. So that what night was that? Must have been like maybe Wednesday night or something. I don't even know. Yeah. And then he woke up in the morning, he was so excited because like all these like little presents were on the table and his dummies were gone. He was like, Oh my god, they took my dummies, and like blah blah blah. And literally the next day, he was like sitting in his little like tent thing having his lunch and having a little relax, and he sort of started to say, like, oh, I want my dummy, and then he like he's like, dummy, and then I was like, and then he like sort of laughed, yeah, and I was like, it's gone. Remember, the dummy fairy took it. He goes, Oh, silly, Steve. Yeah, and like he was so fine about it. And then the other night when he we were jumping into bed to like start his books, I saw him, he looked down the side of his bed because often they'd fall down in between the wall, and he like looked down there and then he like must have remembered and then just sat back up, didn't say anything, and I didn't mention it. Um, and that that's been it. Has not asked for it.
SPEAKER_02That is so good. I know.
SPEAKER_01I am like, I'm so proud of him. Literally, um, but yeah, like still I'm like it's sad.
SPEAKER_02It's because it's like he's just getting like a big boy, yeah, and like he's got like a riff raff.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, um, and he's always had a dummy tied to his riffraff, but he doesn't put that dummy in his mouth. Yes, he's like a um like touches it like on his face, and like that's how he soothes himself to sleep. Yeah, so I didn't get rid of that because like accidentally he's put that in his mouth and he goes, Yeah, like he thinks it's disgusting.
SPEAKER_02So weird because Walker's the same how he holds this dummy.
SPEAKER_01Yes, but won't put it in his mouth. Because they touch it so much, it goes gross, it's like slimy and like.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, what he's like, I I need I need that doll, and like I give it to him and he just holds it, and like, I'm like, why did he hold that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but yeah, so I didn't take that one away. I was gonna cut it, but then I was like, I think I'll just leave it. Um, and I mean it's been fine, so yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, great Eastie.
SPEAKER_01I know, so proud of him, such a big boy. And also I was like, I think we either need to do it now, yeah, or we're gonna have to wait a while because we're moving, yes, I'm like, that's a lot. Yeah, like that's a lot of change. Yeah, so I'm like, I feel like now's the perfect time because like when we move, which actually like is not far away. So we will the houses like settle and they settle in like the second week of September. Which is like what not that far away. No, what are we now?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, August, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, wild. So I was like, yeah, had to get rid of it now because and we also are going away. Yeah. So we go away in like what two weeks, I think. So I'm like, enough happens, I think, in between this movie that it won't link.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, good time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so yeah, we leave for New Zealand on yeah, in a couple of weeks.
SPEAKER_02You go in with family, I can't remember. Just us. Oh, just you guys.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and Brooksie's brother actually last minute sort of booked a ticket, so he's gonna be, well, he's gonna be like around while we're there, which is fun. Um that'd be so nice. Yeah, you haven't been to New Zealand, haven't we? Haven't, no. And like I am like so excited for it, and like I don't know, like fucking first world problems, you know, and I'm gonna sound like such a fuckhead saying this, so you know, like whatever, take it for what it is. But I'm so excited to go. But obviously, when we booked this, we didn't have everything happening with the house. So, like, it just feels like I'm like, holy shit, like this is just a lot. There's a lot.
SPEAKER_00And like, I know first world problems, like, oh, you gotta go to New Zealand, oh, you gotta move out.
SPEAKER_02But you know, when you've got two kids and you've got to pack up a whole house, and like perhaps you go to New Zealand and you gotta get home and you gotta feel like that's a lot.
SPEAKER_01It just is a lot. Like we so like this house is like like it's it's under offer, I guess, and it should be like officially sold by the end of the week. But also, then that leaves me like I think I worked out like it left me 10 days to pack this whole house because when we get back, so we get back on like the 5th, I think, and although the fourth, but we're hoping to like get the keys for the new house by then because then we only have a week before this settles. Yeah. Like before you gotta be out of here. Before I we have to be out of here. Yeah, so like only have a week, or not not even a week, actually. It's we only have five days, four days. Yeah. Sorry. Fuck when we get home, weekdays. I'm saying we only have four weekdays to move from this house to that house, clean this, have it ready for like, you know, the new owners. So I'm like That is a look. I'm gonna have to start packing and where? How? Well, that's what I mean.
SPEAKER_02How do you pack and where do you put things until it's not like you can just take it all all over there this week?
SPEAKER_01No, and also there's like no wardrobes and stuff at the new. Not sort of. Like he's they the people who own it have moved. They've moved up to Queensland, but he's having someone stay there at the moment. So, but he's not living in the house, he's living in like the shed, I think.
SPEAKER_02So you'll move right when you move into the house.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's like obviously livable.
SPEAKER_01Like you don't need to do anything before you really like we're in um we're in talks, Brooksy and I, because I would love new carpet, yeah. And he would love not to put new carpet in right now. Yeah. So I mean As in like pronto. As in before we move in. Before you move in. Because I'm just like it's easier. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know? Yeah. Well, before you put beds and we also probably don't have time. Yeah. It's just all happens so quickly. Yeah. Um, and yeah, I know I sound like a fuckhead for complaining about this, but it just I feel like people just complaining about moving in general.
SPEAKER_02How's like it's so exciting? Yeah, but then holiday is pre-planned.
SPEAKER_01And we were almost like, should we cancel the holiday? But we probably wouldn't have got money back from our flights. And then because everything was so up in the air with like selling this house and stuff, because we had to sell our house before we could buy the new house. So um we're sort of like, if it didn't all go to plan, then we've cancelled our holiday, we've lost money on that, and like that's just disappointing.
SPEAKER_02And a holiday's not something that you could just kind of like, oh, we'll just book a holiday today. Exactly. Yeah, that's right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, but um, all very exciting. But yeah, selling with like two kids, I don't know, not for the week, man. Oh my god. Like trying to like not that we're dirty people, no, but not that the house was dirty, but just like untidy, like you know what it's like, you like tidy something up and then you turn around, but like little things like doors and windows and like hand prints.
SPEAKER_02Rubbing it, like just yeah, just like kids. Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_01Things are just hard to keep. Yeah, I think we had like three or four opens all up. I can't even really remember, but I was just like, I can't do this anymore. Like this is wild, and it was just so stressful because it's like we really want like this house, but we know that we can't get it unless we sell this house, and then I don't know, everything was like very time frame, like you have to get it. And we also, yeah, had a time frame which we had to sell this in order to be able to like because you know that the owner of that house can't just wait for us forever, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Like, you know, he's got his own family to look after, so but yeah, um, stressful, but we're coming to the end of it now, and I know once we're in the new house, it's all gonna be so worth it. Oh my god, it'll be so good, very exciting, so so exciting.
SPEAKER_02My god. There's like nothing, I mean, once it's done, not the actual moving process, but like just like moving into even though it is bittersweet when it's been like your family home stuff. But I feel like it's so nice to have like a fresh style, new memories, yeah, and like it's got so much land, yeah, exactly. It'll be so good, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Coming into better weather, yeah, yes, yeah, coming into some nicer weather. It's got a pool. It's got a pool, exciting, exciting, nerve-wracking, like older feels, yeah. Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_02But we can do lots of updates on it, it'll be great. We might have to get on and do some um moving vlogs.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, I will fucking get some we're gonna get that actually comes with two sheep. Two sheep?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, stop, I love that.
SPEAKER_01So we're gonna have to get we're gonna get a couple more sheep. I love it. Maybe some cows. Great. Farmatabby. Oh my god, eat your heart out. Oh, so good. We'll have to get Bex out on his motorbike.
SPEAKER_02Um well, if you need him to do some um mowing and get on his ride-on.
SPEAKER_01Actually, yeah, that would be great. We've been looking at some ride-ons. Don't worry, Bex has got to solve it.
SPEAKER_02Seriously, so good. No, that'll be so good. It'll be so good for the for the boys. Yes. Like, oh, so much space.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I know, I can't wait.
SPEAKER_02Well I'm trying to think if there's any other little updates. Not really. Yeah. Nothing else has really been happening.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But yeah, we are. We're sorry we've been MIA. There's just been so much happening. Um, but I mean, I'm like, I'm gonna sound like a broken record here, but obviously we want to stay as consistent as we can. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um we might just have some times every now and then when like you know, there's house selling involved, and there's a lot going on, and we might just disappear for a little bit, but we'll always be back.
SPEAKER_01We'll always be back, and like we actually love doing this so much.
SPEAKER_02We do. Um and we have actually done so well in being as consistent as we have been. Like, you know, it's obviously in our job, so it's like we do make a lot of time to do it. To do it, exactly. But yeah, when life's hectic, sometimes it is really hard to make the time. And we want it to be yeah, you know, we don't want to just record shit for the sake of it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um, but today was good because we actually hadn't caught up in so long, so we were actually catching up.
SPEAKER_01And we needed to, yeah. All right, well, thank you so much, and our next episode is going to be Em's part two of her um eczema questions. So tune in for that one. But thank you so much for coming back. Thanks, guys. We missed you, and we'll see you soon. Bye. Bye.
