Caroline and I jump into her trip to Mexico, how I had no idea I'd become the cook of the family and do we really need to be spending 100 bucks a month on coffee beans? We also received some mail from YOU!!! Thank you all for 10,000 downloads.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome to the podcast, ladies and gentlemen. Episode 14. Whoop whoop.

SPEAKER_00

Very exciting.

SPEAKER_01

Exciting. We just had a great hamburger dinner.

SPEAKER_00

Our whole house smells like hamburger.

SPEAKER_01

Is it really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Anytime that we make hamburgers, well, because we're really emphasizing the microphone. Okay, well, if you guys are watching, I'm also doing Eddie's trick because we were listening to the last episode and we're like, oh, his audio does sound a lot better when the microphone is attached to something.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you're like, you're like a telecaster.

SPEAKER_00

Well, how close do you have it to your mouth?

SPEAKER_01

Well, you know, I'm like kind of natural. I'm kind of just like uh, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, it I mean, I'm not used to it. I got really good. I mean, 13 episodes of one way.

SPEAKER_01

I thought you were gonna eat it. It was like you're gonna eat it.

SPEAKER_00

Your girl would get really, you know, used to that. Gus is sitting here as if he is our guest. Like our producer. Okay, do you have anything to say?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yeah, we only need some watermelon.

SPEAKER_00

He doesn't have anything to say.

SPEAKER_01

He's like a producer on Love Island, you know.

SPEAKER_00

But we don't have a grill. And um, because our patio, our HOA. If you really want to know, we're not allowed to have a grill here.

SPEAKER_01

Even though I grilled on for Father's Day and I I wasn't ever against grilling, but I it was my first time grilling.

SPEAKER_00

I feel you didn't know what we didn't have.

SPEAKER_01

It's exactly what it was.

SPEAKER_00

And now you know.

SPEAKER_01

Because my so I've never I'm becoming like a little bit of a man now. We're like now that I'm like a married man, I've like turned into like I'm starting to do like things.

SPEAKER_00

He grew up.

SPEAKER_01

I grew up. So like growing up, my dad did all the grilling. My dad did like all the co like you know, if somebody was if you had asked a hundred of my friends, how many friends I probably have if you asked how many groomsmen did I have? 13, 14? If you asked 14 of my groomsmen if they thought 10 years ago Eddie was gonna be cooking for his household, I don't think one of them would have said I was.

SPEAKER_00

Well, honey, that's because you were, you know what it takes a woman to make you turn into a man. That's not exactly the quote that I meant, but like I made you grow up. But like I'm like Or do you think I'm so inspiring? I really inspired you to grow up to become the man that you needed to be.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I don't think well, I think the reason was I I didn't want to have mac and cheese for dinner every night. So I was like, I gotta take it upon myself to kind of like if I you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00

No, and I'm not I listen, I will wholeheartedly say I know I was so bad that he had to step up and good because I do I do a lot around here, and so I'm happy for you to But that's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_01

But it's funny that I do like I was on like I didn't think I was ever gonna be on a grill. You know what I mean? Yeah, I I didn't think I was gonna be that kind of dad.

SPEAKER_00

It also is funny because I do feel I have this like fear that I'm like coming into your life, your mom is an excellent cook.

SPEAKER_01

She's unreal, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So your dad is also not to take away, he also is an excellent cook, but your mom is like you wanna know something really funny about that that dynamic?

SPEAKER_01

My mom cooked probably 95% of the of our lives, like growing up, probably up till we were like I mean, when did I maybe up until I was in high school at the end of high school, right? Okay, 95% of the time. My dad would cook 5% of the time. He would my dad would make breakfast and eggs and stuff like that. After that, my dad cooked. It sounded almost like it shifted. My dad is more, I mean, my mom's a phenomenal cook.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, your mom's an amazing cook. But I felt that pressure on my shoulders. And instead of stepping up to the plate, I decided I'm actually just gonna run away. I'm just gonna run away from the plate. I'm not going to open, open up even there's no comparison. You know what I mean? Like, I was just like, I'm just not, and then you were like, not a problem. I've seen the plate my whole life, so I will do it. Yeah, and I'm one of these people, like we I don't want to get into this conversation, but I'm one of these people every conversation we get gets to a point that you're like, we can't get into it because I'm I'm gonna have some hot takes.

SPEAKER_01

But I'm a very visual learner. But we were talking about like our teaching our kids how to swim. That's a yeah, yeah. That's not that's what I want to get, I don't want to get into it. I don't want to get into it.

SPEAKER_00

We had a huge fight today.

SPEAKER_01

You did not get out of a fight, but anyway, I saw my mom cook my entire life and my dad cooked, so I feel like I was like, I saw that, and that's how I learn how to do things personally. You know what I mean? Totally, you know. I I'm not like a do this, do this. I need to see you do it.

SPEAKER_00

Well, absolutely. I mean, I think that if we want to get into a larger thing about parenting, I think that that's about like you show your kids more than you tell them. 100% like they see what a healthy real that's why I'm always on you where I'm like, honey, it's very important the way we speak to each other because I think he's Lincoln is a wonker.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's just his pop.

SPEAKER_00

Um, because when kids come in, they're gonna see the way we speak to each other, and they're gonna see that to be like that's how a relationship, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, how do we get from burgers to that?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I will say we don't have gr a grill. Oh, yeah, we don't have a grill. And so we make our burgers inside the home on the stove on the skillet, on the skillet, and our entire freaking house ends up smelling like burger.

SPEAKER_01

But we got the wagyu ones from from Costco. Were they better? Did you taste the difference?

SPEAKER_00

I didn't taste the difference. Did you?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I hate when you don't taste the difference.

SPEAKER_00

I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_01

I I think you were busy. You've been busy all day. You've been working. I've been working you've been kind of head down today.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, I because you know why? I'm having a lot of work come my way in the next few days. Like I have notes, meetings, and I'm waiting for a contract to, and so I'm trying to get this gosh darn novel out off my plate. I know, I know.

SPEAKER_01

I'm saying you had a busy, busy day. I know.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm like, but also, you know, when you're like, I know I'm about to be busy, so I want to get this thing off my plate so that I can do that.

SPEAKER_01

I I my mind doesn't think that like that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, honey, you made us great burgers. Thank you very much for them.

SPEAKER_01

They're great. We had mac and cheese, and it was I you made the mac and cheese, unfortunately. And we're not gonna and we threw we threw it away.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that was because we didn't have the right kind of milk.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you use my almond milk.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but vanilla almond milk.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's for my lattes.

SPEAKER_00

Sure, but I thought we had milk.

SPEAKER_01

Turns out it was Should we talk about that funny thing that happened with the lattes? Because you so Caroline gets um you like a specific type of coffee, right? You have like your blue bottle coffee.

SPEAKER_00

I like pour over coffee for those who speak coffee. I I I grind up the beans, I get specific beans from blue bottle. I am on a subscription model. That's right, and I get like a bag every two weeks. It's like perfect, it's perfect for me. It's I think they actually have like perfectly said you use 30 grams of beans a day. You can go through this in the 31 days of a month, whatever. Absolutely perfect. Lately, I've been reaching for my beans, and I'm like, why are my beans where are my beans?

SPEAKER_01

You just have one big bean upstairs.

SPEAKER_00

You then that's exactly right. The bean in my home has been eating my beans. You took all my beans because we did get this gorgeous coffee machine for our wedding.

SPEAKER_01

Phenomenal. It's the Bambino, I believe. Shout out um Natasha.

SPEAKER_00

The Crimson Days, yeah, the Crimson Days got for us. We're very excited about that.

SPEAKER_01

And it was like my number one gift. That's like I've always wanted because you know I was gonna do it, I was gonna do a coffee business instead of ice cream. Those were like the those were the final two I was against.

SPEAKER_00

That's interesting.

SPEAKER_01

So I've always wanted to do coffee. Um, like learn I've always thought I always thought barises are so cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they are.

SPEAKER_01

You know what I mean? Like the way they like they wear the little apron and they wear like like cream, like like very neutral colors, usually have nice hair, usually like sure, like this cool tattoos, and nothing has to do with the coffee because you're not a huge coffee guy. I am a huge coffee guy. Since when?

SPEAKER_00

I always have a good latte, but in the mornings, I'm like, do you want coffee? And you're like, no.

SPEAKER_01

But I love trying like latte. It's like I'm a big coach.

SPEAKER_00

Anyways, we get this coffee machine. He's lying to you all, he's not a big coffee guy, but we he gets his coffee machine and it's it's a present for Eddie because I do pour over. Yeah, but guess who's been using my beans in his machine? Me, Eddie.

SPEAKER_01

And but I've tried not to like my beans? I do, they're good, they're good. But uh, but I also like we're upping it now, right?

SPEAKER_00

And you just I had to go on the subscription and be like, well, honey, I'm gonna have two bags come every two weeks.

SPEAKER_01

And I found out it was a hundred dollars a month.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm like, eighty dollars a month?

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not, it's more.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's eighty dollars a month because how much is each bag?

SPEAKER_01

It's like 33, isn't it?

SPEAKER_00

$20 a bag.

SPEAKER_01

It's not $20. I know it's not.

SPEAKER_00

No, I I think that's actually right.

SPEAKER_01

Plus shipping and plus fees. Okay, it has to be like $100.

SPEAKER_00

That doesn't that stuff doesn't count. Anyways, okay, for you to be like $80 a month for coffee is so outlandish.

SPEAKER_02

$100.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I'm like, you know, I could be a gal who goes and gets six dollar coffee. Also, by the way, this is for you. I was fine.

SPEAKER_01

No one That's why it's funny.

SPEAKER_00

No one bothered me and my bean subscription. That's right. And then all of a sudden Eddie comes in, he but he has this nice ass machine, and now you're gonna use like dollar store beans in it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's you know, I'm kinda um yeah. Some where is a yeah, you gotta spend the money if you have it, you know? I don't know. I don't know. I'm just you know, sometimes I like to save a buck, but sometimes like a good coffee, like when I have my good it's so important. It is good.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I I do not skimp on the coffee. That's why I'm like, I'm so happy to spend that money because that's like the setup for everything else. I can only make money because I'm awake and happy doing my coffee. That's right.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe we could put it on your business expense and then like so it's like that is not a business expense.

SPEAKER_00

We should put it on your business expense as it's because you're thinking about opening up a coffee truck. Apparently, you're a coffee guy. News to me.

SPEAKER_01

I drink coffee all the time.

SPEAKER_00

When?

SPEAKER_01

I literally drink coffee.

SPEAKER_00

Every morning I say, Do you want a coffee? And you say no. So I stopped offering.

SPEAKER_01

I know you did, but I make my because I go make myself a latte.

SPEAKER_00

Since when? Since you started using my beans.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, since I started using your beans. Anyway. Uh, should we talk about like the elephant in the room? Love island USA.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I well, I feel we should wait till the end because if people don't want to literally, I was just at a bachelorette last weekend and everyone was talking about this one podcast called The Toast, and they were like, they talk about Love Island too much. And they were like, Yeah, but they save it till the end so that you can cut off if you don't want to talk about Love Island.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Um I feel like it really took the excitement out of you. You were very excited to talk Love Island.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, um, I was. It kind of took my train of thought out.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I'm sorry, honey. Okay, let's go.

SPEAKER_01

No, but no, because I'm like a little bit of like when the train's on the track and then it derails. Yeah, I get a little Pete Pete Schulberg.

SPEAKER_00

Pete Schulberg's my stepdad. He is he is a real train on the tracks kind of guy.

SPEAKER_01

I almost I I almost went there, you know? But I was like, don't be Pete. Okay's a great guy. I'd be I would text him all day, actually.

SPEAKER_00

We we love Pete. There's nothing wrong with Pete, but Pete is an 80-year-old man who has a set in his ways, including if he has his way. Like, let's say we're going from I'll never forget the wedding.

SPEAKER_01

Remember when you forgot your glasses? That was the funniest one.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. Well, we were going to a wedding. We're like at the cabin, which is where my parents live, my mom and my stepdad. And we are going to a wedding and we're literally like pulling out of the driveway, and I'm like, Oh, I forgot my glasses. And Pete's like, train's already left.

SPEAKER_01

It wasn't even that. No, it wasn't that. Oh because we went back because your mom needed to get like a like a card. So we went to the grocery store or something like that. We went back, we were driving past your guys' house, and then you got a coffee, you remember, and then you're like, Oh shit, I forgot my glasses. Pete, can we stop? And he goes, Absolutely not. He likes spazzed out, and we went by your house. Like, we joke.

SPEAKER_00

No, this happens all the time. Like, for instance, mom will be at the house, like they'll be at the cabin. Gus, what's we'll they'll be at the cabin, they'll be going to lunch, let's say. Gus, gus, gus, gus. Can you guys hear that?

SPEAKER_01

Gus, oh, come on, buddy. It's just getting comfortable.

SPEAKER_00

Um okay, buddy. Okay, so they'll be at the cab. They'll be at the cabin. Yeah, yeah. They'll be going to lunch. The same road that they take to lunch is the road that the post office is on. Yeah. And mom will be like, oh, let's stop at the post office. And Pete will be like, like, he can't handle it.

SPEAKER_01

It's like his computer freezes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. Yeah.

unknown

You know.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, which does not compute. Like, we did not have that on the itinerary.

SPEAKER_01

And it's but Pete lost his driving privileges, I think, didn't he?

SPEAKER_00

He didn't.

SPEAKER_01

I think last time we were in Palm Springs, I think Beth Schulberg is driving now.

SPEAKER_00

Well, she's the main driver because Pete, yeah, because because of reasons like that. But he hasn't actually lost it. Also, your tattoo, by the way, I'm looking at your new tattoo. We're really all over the place right now. Eddie got a new tattoo of the ice cream truck. And it is above an old tattoo, and they're like different colors. Is that just faded?

SPEAKER_01

Well, because it's new.

SPEAKER_00

So will that become the color?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. It's all the same color. Okay. We are all over the place right now.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I have some questions for us. Oh, you do? Yeah. That's hearing. But don't forget, I feel bad about the Love Island thing. But let's just circle back. I just feel bad to talk about something that people might not be watching. Can you guys hear Gus?

SPEAKER_01

He does this. He sits, so that's my spot where he's digging. And he sits there every day that I'm not like when I'm not here, he sits there. So it's like not, it's not like he doesn't know that spot.

SPEAKER_00

No, I know. He just is trying to dig his little he's he's this is like a lot. Okay. We have a question from our friend Brandon.

SPEAKER_01

Brandon, what's up, Brandon? Yeah, what's up, Brandon? Is it the guy that sells cars?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. Should I look?

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm kidding.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, Mr. and Mrs. Garcia, I'd love to know how games fit into your family dynamic. As someone who, like Caroline, comes from a whiter-than-white family, playing games is the core of what we do when our family gets together. Specifically, we play cribbage, which is a staple of rural Canada, especially among white people in the prairies. We truly love to play hours of every kind of board game, card game, even interactive game, like Pictionary or escape rooms. But since Eddie is Mexican Salvadorian, I am curious to know if game playing is such a big thing with his family as well. If there's differences between the preferences of your family, how it felt to adjust to match the gaming vibes of the other family.

SPEAKER_01

Brandon's obviously a white, it sounds like.

SPEAKER_00

He said, Yeah, he comes from a whiter-than-white family. Okay, well, this brings me to So he No, I'm obsessed with games, and also I've been really into Mahjong lately.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Here's the thing with my family and games. My family's way too competitive.

SPEAKER_00

You are not a games family.

SPEAKER_01

Can't say that. We're a huge games family.

SPEAKER_00

No, you're not. I've never played, I've played one single game with you guys.

SPEAKER_01

The Garcias are they're just too competitive.

SPEAKER_00

There's you know, I think maybe one son is too competitive and he might be sitting across from the game.

SPEAKER_01

If Suhani listens to this podcast, she will stop this. She will stop and be like, that's my my boyfriend.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, really? Oh, me and Suhani is Eddie's brother's girlfriend.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

So you're saying that your brother is the me and my brother.

SPEAKER_01

So my dad cheats in every game. My dad doesn't like to lose.

SPEAKER_00

Your dad is not a cheater. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think you've seen it. Yeah, you haven't seen us play games much.

SPEAKER_00

No, we have not played games at all, which actually I love games.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we play a lot. There is a lot of we play like five-second rule with my grandma. We do that, it's like keep her sharp. But the thing about the competitiveness got so bad that Matthew had to become the judge. Like, Matthew can't play.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because it's he's worse than you. The worst person is my father. My father's the head of the snip. My dad is the most he doesn't know how to lose. Wait, that's so he so he like often cheats. Anyone who listens to this, like in my family's gonna say that I'm the cheater. You are so then my brother cheats. My brother's actually Matthew, me and my brother just can't play games together.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I remember we played like we had like one game night. And the funniest thing about you is that like you could not understand the games. Like you were always remember, you would like do the game.

SPEAKER_01

Our game was stupid, though.

SPEAKER_00

No, that game was what was that game? And it was like where an ant that yeah, it was like this side is really small, this side is really big, and then you have to like twist it, and then it lands on something, and then you have to anyway.

SPEAKER_01

No, but we we play a lot of games. There is a lot of games. Um, we like the game Pit. We we play Pit a lot. Um, we play five-second rule. Um, yeah, we play games.

SPEAKER_00

All of this to say, I've been part of this family three years. We've had one game night.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. We maybe we should do that. Maybe we should bring that back.

SPEAKER_00

I would love, you know, sometimes I'm like, we should play a game.

SPEAKER_01

But the thing about it is people don't like to play games in my family because people are too competitive. It like gets out of hand. People start yelling at each other. Well, and no one in that family likes to lose. That's the problem.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Where like if you guys, like somebody loses, you're like, hey, good, you know, good set, good, good roll.

SPEAKER_00

Well, sure, because we're normal humans who understand that it's like a game.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's no such thing.

SPEAKER_00

Um, uh, anyways, my family loves games. We're not like almost too much. What?

SPEAKER_01

I'm kidding, I'm kidding.

SPEAKER_00

We don't do he just he just mentioned some games. We don't do um, we don't do cribbage, but like we are big Rummikube people. We will play Rummikube all the time. We love Rummikube, and also it's fun because the kids can be able to play it with us. I just learned Mahjong, which I'm so excited for Christmas time to play mahjong with my family. I cannot wait, which is great. You can like you can watch sports or whatever, because you would not play that with me.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

You probably wouldn't play Rummikube.

SPEAKER_01

No, there's certain games I because I I lose focus really fast. I also don't like being inside a lot. A game night to me is like at night, you're gonna do play this for like an hour.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no. I will also say my sister and I are huge puzzlers. That's like we love to do a puzzle together during like Christmas time, but it's like all day you sit there, you watch Christmas movies, you do a puzzle, and then maybe you do a little play a little rummy cube, go back to the puzzle. That is a dream day for me. Oh my gosh. It's Eddie's worst nightmare.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, we were like actually known as a family feud house. Like people would like if you came over, you were gonna play Family Feud at our house.

SPEAKER_00

Like I'm entirely feeling a little gypped if I'm honest.

SPEAKER_01

I think you, I think you I think for the last like maybe yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know what's funny? When we were in Mexico, Chelsea did say they wanted to go on Family Feud.

SPEAKER_01

And we went on we I've been on Family Feud, the Spanish one. Look it up, really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, wait, why haven't we talked about this?

SPEAKER_01

It's one of the worst nights of my life. Why? Because we lost we lost in sudden death, and we should have fucking won.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Why have we and I was a team leader?

SPEAKER_00

Oh well, it's on you.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, I what do you mean? I got all I got most of our points. I was ready to play fast one. My aunt, my aunt Betty, actually. Was it my aunt Betty? It was one of my aunts. I forget what aunt it was, but she anyways.

SPEAKER_00

Chelsea told me that when we were in Mexico, she's like, we gotta go on family feud. She's like, we have the perfect five. She's like, but I want you to be in it, so we're gonna have to kick someone out. And then we we kind of decided on you.

SPEAKER_01

That's not true. I'm the face of the family.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, blaze.

SPEAKER_01

So Matthew's very the you know what I know? So so the thing about games with my family, like we're really competitive. I'm like, there's no even growing up, me and Matthew couldn't play on the same. We would if we played on on opposite teams, we'd fight. So then we'd be on the same teams and we'd beat everybody. So like we'd we just can't do it, you know what I mean? And then if my dad's playing, my dad likes to find a way to cheat because my dad doesn't like to lose. There's just a lot of stuff that happens, and then Chelsea's just as competitive as everybody, too. Then my mom doesn't like to lose, but then my mom has to be the middleman because my mom has to break up fights, and then my mom's like, Alright, we're done.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, all I'm hearing is that I could be playing more games with the family.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we should. We should we should actually talk about that. Okay, yeah, but Souhani's also Suhani's also one of those people that like when we play games, she's just like, oh my god. Because she knows me and Matt really.

SPEAKER_00

That's so funny. Yeah, and so by the time I came around, you guys had put a kibosh on that because we do not play games.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think so. I think so.

SPEAKER_00

You know what I feel, I felt this is this bachelorette too involved of like I hate teaching games. Like, I'm like just Yeah, no, you're right. You know, like I'm like, I just want to know how to play it. Let's do it quick.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it's funny you say that you don't like to teach games because we played pickleball. Like, I was a big pickleballer when I we got together. Caroline had no idea how to play pickleball. Yeah, and I literally taught her how to play. And if you've played pickleball before, there's a lot of rules.

SPEAKER_00

No, and that's how I truly that's how I know the depth of your love for me. 100% because I would never teach someone how to play pickleball right now.

SPEAKER_01

Like, that sounds like my Well, even like the reason why I'm bringing that up is because the other day you were like, Have you played before? And they're like, Okay, well, I can't play with you. Learn how to play and then you can play with it.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I I told Penny, my friend Penny, I was like, Penny, you need to learn how to play mahjong. She's like, Great, teach me. I'm like, I won't, but here's where you can go to take lessons and then call me once you've learned. I really did. I said, Penny, I'm not teaching you. I'm not interested. I learned like two weeks ago, but I don't want to teach it.

SPEAKER_01

You're also like a very fast learner, I think, too. Like you're like ahead of the curve on that stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you. You know, I do agree.

SPEAKER_01

Like you're even pickleball, you're pretty quick. Like you get you follow rules well.

SPEAKER_00

Remy cube, I played my whole life, and Mahjong is really similar to it. So I just like picked up like by we were we did like two lessons, me and this group of friends. And by the second one, I was teaching the friends how to play.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you you you take direction pretty well. I'll give you that.

SPEAKER_00

That thank you.

unknown

Excellent.

SPEAKER_00

So, Brandon, I Brandon, good question. I hope that we answered that.

SPEAKER_01

Brendan, you know what, you know what Brandon just did? He just re-night reunite like how do you say like re uh reignited? Reignited the game for game nights. We're guys gonna have a game. I'm actually I'm gonna text the group chat here in a second. Let's have a game night. No, I couldn't Edgar Garcia loves game nights, but he remember this, he cheats. Because he doesn't like to lose either.

SPEAKER_00

I actually do know that because remember when we played pickleball and your dad did not know pickleball, right?

SPEAKER_01

Doesn't know like he doesn't even know sometimes he won't even know the rules.

SPEAKER_00

No, he still wants to win. He and then he would serve and he would have bad serves, and he's like, give me give me it again, I'm gonna serve again. And then when you would serve for the he'd be like, Wow, he doesn't even know how to play. Like it was so funny because I was like, Oh my gosh, I'm seeing like the uh irony.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, it's like the head of the snake, and then the head of the snake kind of pass on to the bottom of the snake, you know what I mean? And it's yeah. My mom's really competitive too. Don't get that twisted.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Um, here is the next thing. Subject is Eddie has absolutely crazy takes. Body.

SPEAKER_01

Was that the subject?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I think your husband needs a fact checker because sometimes he just yaps and yaps. There's several of island couples, some from last year who are still together. For example, Olandria and Nick, Taylor and Clark.

SPEAKER_01

Who said this? This is my sister from the season before. This is for sure my sister.

SPEAKER_00

From the season before, Leah and Miguel are a big one. Also, crazy that you guys like Kenzie. She's the absolute worst. I need her off the island immediately. Not really a question, but wanted to let you know about Eddie, your husband. Ariana Grande is also 32, and Wicked is amazing. You don't really need to read this one since these topics were already discussed, but I just think you should know.

SPEAKER_01

Is that my sister?

SPEAKER_00

That same writer uh wrote in another.

SPEAKER_01

One it is my sister, huh?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, she just emailed these me out of nowhere.

SPEAKER_01

Isn't she supposed to be working?

SPEAKER_00

Um, well, she was sending this to me at 2.28 p.m. Work hours.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's like nine or five.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. She wrote subject party discussion. Body. And feel free to bring this one up with attitude. I'm behind on your podcast, and I just bought up.

unknown

I just got up.

SPEAKER_00

My birthday was in fact a birthday party. His rules of a party are so incorrect, and I hate explaining myself. However, I will debate them in order to show I am right. Number one, your husband said that there was 20 people there. There was 43. Number two, I had to switch the dates because I was traveling, so Chalo and Judy were unable to attend.

SPEAKER_01

She was traveling due to prior engagements.

SPEAKER_00

Who did you think she is? Number three, there was no speakers because you said they were hard to set up. They are yours. Oh, this is to you. She said there's no speakers because you said they were hard to set up and they are yours. And when I asked them to when I asked you to set them up for the party, you said no, it's too hard. Kind of glad since you were an awful DJ at Matthew's party, our playlist was curated weeks in advance and it wasn't some random station. Okay. Number four. There's there's nine bullet points, everybody. All right, we don't have to read on it. No, no, no, no. Number four, my cousins, Emma and Valerie, were there. Oh, yeah. Remember you said there was no cousins.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but they were inside, they didn't even come outside.

SPEAKER_00

Number five, I have a small group of friends, and my brother's friends are also my friends.

SPEAKER_01

Chelsea doesn't have friends.

SPEAKER_00

Number Eddie.

SPEAKER_01

We could all do a whole podcast on that.

SPEAKER_00

Number six, correct. Sid didn't know that it was an all-girls party and it was past his bedtime when his mom got there. That's why the nine-year-old wasn't there. Number seven, there wasn't a main dish because I didn't want one. I wanted small finger foods as it was a garden party. And also, why was dad so casual? I wouldn't want him running all over the place. Also, why dad was so casual was because I wouldn't want him running all over the place dressed. That is exactly why mom wasn't dressed. She bought a new party for the dress, but she didn't have time to change because she was man in the kitchen.

SPEAKER_01

Number eight, we were doing finger foods.

SPEAKER_00

She said finger food. Yeah. Well, those are still made in the kitchen. Number eight, this is giving one-sided beef toward his sister. Like, don't be jealous, ew. Number nine, also, you showed up at like the final moments. The fuck? Case closed. I loved my birthday party.

SPEAKER_01

Well, first off, I was working. Clearly sending emails at two o'clock. Someone's not working.

SPEAKER_00

No, that was really uh viewer. We just want to thank you so much. That was really kind. Thank you so much for writing in, um, sharing your opinions. I think it's awesome to have our um listeners so engaged.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Don't you agree?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And it's great to know, it's great to have someone on my side.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you know what we didn't talk about? Your trip to Mexico.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that little lady was my girl, me. I went to Mexico without Eddie with the whole family, and it was phenomenal. I had the best time. I came back a 10 out of 10 Spanish speaker, if I do say so myself. Right? When I picked you, yo appendido mucho español.

SPEAKER_01

When I picked you up, so I've been on a Toy Story, but I watched all the Toy Stories in the last four days.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

There's a scene that I remembered me think of what like when I picked you up. There's a scene where they uh mess with Buzz and they move them from demo mode to like whatever mode. And that was like you. I almost had to like switch you back into like the American mode. Oh, I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_00

Because you were I was full, oh, I was full Mexicana.

SPEAKER_01

You were speaking Spanish thing.

SPEAKER_00

Look at you.

SPEAKER_01

You're getting perked up.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, because I'm so proud of myself. You I was working really hard. You know what? Even Judy said by the end of it, Judy's aunt who came with us. Judy said, you know, you've learned more Spanish in these three days than all of my friends who say that they're gonna learn Spanish in like 10 years. Because I will say, I put a lot of effort into it.

SPEAKER_01

Spanish, yeah. When you're around it like that, you could really get it down. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like, because it's Spanish is a tough language.

SPEAKER_00

Tough.

SPEAKER_01

And if it I mean every any language for that matter, but the the masculine feminine trips me up.

SPEAKER_00

I'll tell you what.

SPEAKER_01

I don't even know what that is. Like the um yo practical, yo practico, like that's I have a minor in Spanish, but like that's um I need better Spanish than the actual teacher.

SPEAKER_00

Oh jeez, Eddie, get out of here.

SPEAKER_01

I've been speaking Spanish since I was like five six months.

SPEAKER_00

But that that that's fine. That doesn't mean that you speak better Spanish than the teacher.

SPEAKER_01

I do. I did. She was a Galacha. Like you're not?

SPEAKER_00

No. Also, by the way, um, remember we have a we do have someone on TikTok who is always saying that you're messing up Spanish.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because I don't speak the proper español.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_01

You speak I speak I speak Espanol. El Salvador.

SPEAKER_00

Also, do you think I can never really speak Spanish because I can't roll my R's?

SPEAKER_01

You can use your tongue well in other places.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, Eddie, that's gross. No one wants to hear that. Anyways, I had a great time in Mexico.

SPEAKER_01

What was your favorite part? Did you have a favorite part?

SPEAKER_00

You're not gonna want to hear this.

SPEAKER_01

What was it?

SPEAKER_00

It was mass.

SPEAKER_01

Let's not get into this. Let's not get into it. Because remember, your friends did say that you have you have that like attribute that you could get you could get pulled in.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I could 100% get pulled into a religion. Are you friends?

SPEAKER_01

Friends? Yes, friends.

SPEAKER_00

It's not friends. It's like I I love the whole I'm gonna I'm gonna turn my mic off. Yeah, turn it off. I just love the whole ceremony of it. But it was so beautiful. Someone passed while I was there, which was very sad. And so I gotta see like a whole funeral thing. You know what was so crazy is that they turned that woman's house into like a freaking memorial. Outside, they put up all these tents. Everyone brought chairs, they were all sitting outside of her house, just like hanging out, hanging out. It was just a really I love how family-oriented the Mexican culture is. I think it's really cool.

SPEAKER_01

Uh yeah, when people die, it's crazy. Yeah, like it's uh yeah, it's uh because they pray for like 800 days after it, too. It's like a they like 800 days is like several years. Yeah, they get after it pretty good, like for like 24 hours.

SPEAKER_00

Like I do know that they pray over the body for 24 hours, they don't leave it alone, they have like shifts and stuff, and then I think the dead person's probably just leave me, give me five. I know, I'd be like, see you later. And then we I saw the whole like literally, like we went to mass, they did the whole mass for the funeral, and then we all walked with the casket to the gravesite, and it was really I mean it was awful that this woman died, but like also 96. Yeah, so it's it it wasn't I keep saying like it was sad, it wasn't a tragedy, you know. It was like okay.

SPEAKER_01

96 is a really I'm 32. That'd be that'd give me at 62 more years. Oh my god. Um sign me the fuck up. I know. Yeah, if I'm shit, if I'm still gone. We have this lady. Um I won't say her name, but she's 98 and she's fucking she calls in, she complains, like where you know, at my job, and she is like sharp as a tack. Like it's crazy at the golf course, yeah. It's crazy, like she's so sharp. She like always wants to speak to management because like she's not happy that they're not charging her what it was, you know, 60 years ago.

SPEAKER_00

So funny.

SPEAKER_01

Um, and she walks in by herself. She she stopped driving like last year, she's like 97, 98. Wow, and uh um funny story, she actually asked me to help her how to drive, and I did. I went out with her one time. She doesn't look to the sides, which is the scariest thing of all time. Of course, you just turn in lanes.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you know, Norman Lear um was a legendary comedy writer that I worked with, and he lived until 101.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And I was working with him when he was like 95, 96, and he was sharp as a tack, like so sharp, knew exactly what he was doing. I do think like staying active and like having your brain. My mom keeps saying she she works still, and she's like, I play mahjong and it keeps me sharp.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I think well, think about it like our friends, like our Pete Schulberg, also, he's 81.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, yeah, 81 or 82.

SPEAKER_01

And then we have another friend named Rob who's also 80, who just turned 80. And it is unfucking real how like he still plays pickleball with me, and like, and I go hard at him.

SPEAKER_00

I know I used to think 80 was so old, and now I'm like, it's not that old.

SPEAKER_01

It's a new fucking like 50.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, totally.

SPEAKER_01

And um, he's they're traveling everywhere, he's in a new country like every other week. Like, I don't know. But then he we talked, we had dinner with him a couple weeks ago, and he talks about a lot of being like being active, but also it's a lot of luck, he said, too. You know, it's like yeah, you almost don't know, you know, it's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you're reminding me we played pickleball last night, and this one guy was telling me he was going on a fishing trip today, and he was supposed to go with his friend. They made it, his friend got cancer, he needed something to look forward to, so they booked this fishing trip, and then the friend died last week, and so now he's gonna go with his daughter instead. And I was like, Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. And then I said, like, it really puts life into perspective. He's like, none of this matters, like, don't hold on to material stuff, like just love your people. And I was like, it really affected me last night. I was like, wow, that is so true.

SPEAKER_01

It really is. Like, I was gonna go to the World Cup game today, and I was like, you know what? Just spend the $1,500. But then I was like, don't spend the $1,500. Um it's okay, experiences, you know. I think experiences are like you just, you know, buy the hundred dollar coffee a month, you know?

SPEAKER_00

Like, yeah, Eddie, let me have my beans.

SPEAKER_01

I know, I know. Can I tell you one cool thing that I I have two questions for you after this?

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_01

But the one cool thing that I did this week, I think I told you, is I met the owner of Jersey Mike's.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And we had a little bit of a talk about the ice cream. Um, and he bought it. It's so inspiring to talk to people like that. I talked to I called my mom right after work. I called you, and then I called my mom, and it's just so cool to talk to people like that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_01

Those are like people I wanted to run through a wall after. Yeah, you know what I mean? As somebody who's like in that industry, and I was just reading like Jersey Mics just became the number one selling like um fast food place like in the United States, yeah, and he bought his first business for $170,000 and just sold it for $80, no, eight billion dollars with a B. With a B.

SPEAKER_00

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

And it like, and I was talking to my mom about it. Like, I we love Jersey Mics. I'm not knocking Jersey Mics at all, yeah, but it's a pretty basic sandwich.

SPEAKER_00

Totally.

SPEAKER_01

Like it's there's nothing really to it. Would you say I just didn't think the most simple is the best product 100%, but like the pretty basic white bread, rosemary bread, yeah, turkey, provolone, yeah, Italian, like I love that.

SPEAKER_00

I love that you got inspired.

SPEAKER_01

That was such a good it's a good way to enter the summer for like ice cream seasoning.

SPEAKER_00

Totally.

SPEAKER_01

And it's like brick and do we open up a brick and mortar and it's like I just wish I could ask him like 800 more questions, you know, but it's like you know, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I mean, this is your lane. A brick and mortar feels like you it you just really have to get a good location. That's all it is.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think that's all it is.

SPEAKER_00

Because you you also want foot traffic, you want foot traffic. You want foot traffic? You want to be on like Abbe Kenny.

SPEAKER_01

I mean Yeah, there's a yeah there's a place called Highly Likely by where my parents live that they fucking kill it.

SPEAKER_00

Do you think so?

SPEAKER_01

Them?

SPEAKER_00

Highly likely?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, the clean house.

SPEAKER_00

You think so?

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. They just opened another store in Alko Park.

SPEAKER_00

You're doing it.

SPEAKER_01

Uh anyway, that was the cool thing about me this week.

SPEAKER_00

That is cool. You know, I gotta say, I'm kind of jealous. I want to get like that inspired. I feel like everyone keeps talking about how like last time we were at pickleball, another guy told me Hollywood is dead and it's never coming back.

SPEAKER_01

That's inspiring though. That's actually really inspiring.

SPEAKER_00

Like, you know, in a sense of like Well, I know my mom always says, um, uh, what is she? She always says that fear creates momentum or something. Like she's like, if someone like pisses you off or scares you, it like makes you want to work harder. Anyways, I just feel like right now everyone keeps telling me how sad Hollywood is that I'm like, oh, geez, like I don't know, it's just such a bummer.

SPEAKER_01

I don't want to blow our cover because we do keep a lot of things close to this, you know, what happens in this house, but things are up in the right for you right now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, things are going well.

SPEAKER_01

So we're not gonna I know as much as like that's why when I hear stuff like that, I hear it with like a grain of salt. Because like my Hollywood person is up into the right, I think, right now, right? Right. So I'm very much like I wish them well, you know what I mean? So it's like one of those things where maybe Hollywood is dead for them. You know what I mean? I think might be like an individual thing. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Or just like I'm trying to change the times, you know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I I also I'm in bed with somebody who like who I hear is doing well in Hollywood, too, you know. So it's a little different for us. Does that make sense? Like everybody's experience is different right now in Hollywood, I think.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, mostly people are having a hard time, right?

SPEAKER_01

And and I'm it sucks, right? Like, I'm not gonna like we're not gonna and if we're butt that, like that that's a bummer. Um, but you know, it was bad for you a little for a long time, for like a year, where it's like, fuck, I'm getting these meetings, they're not going anywhere, like I don't have a job, like and they're probably still feeling like that, right? Right, but we have had a little bit of a turn, wouldn't you say? It's true. So, not for everybody. It's true, and I don't mean that in an arrogant way either. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We gotta celebrate the wins.

SPEAKER_01

We gotta celebrate our wins, yeah. But like so, what did one of your friends say? They're gonna cut the fat, you know, which is a bummer, but yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's interesting, it'll it'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out because like will production come back to LA? Like, who knows?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, who knows?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, do you have questions for me?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. What's something that I do that I think is helpful, but it absolutely isn't.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my goodness, that is so funny. Well, I know something that you do that's helpful to you, but not to me.

SPEAKER_01

What is it?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, Eddie is a sweater, so you'll like go out and you'll like sweat your balls off on all your clothes, and then you take off those clothes and you hang them up around the house.

SPEAKER_01

To let them dry.

SPEAKER_00

To let them dry. And it's so disgusting, and it sometimes makes me want to just pack my bags and walk into the ocean because it's I'm so clean.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. If you guys have any suggestions on where to put them, what kind of soap you guys use?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Tide, if you're hearing this, send us like a whole.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's also that's another thing we're learning is that I used this like organic, like like gentle um laundry detergent. Doesn't work on boys, does not work on boys.

SPEAKER_01

It worked on me at first. I remember at first it worked, and right now I started working out here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's not working.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um okay, what do you what answer it for me? Also, my heated blanket is making me so hot right now.

SPEAKER_01

What's something that you do um that I think is helpful, but it absolutely isn't?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's that's a hard question. It is, it is because I do feel like we have the personalities that would just say, stop doing this. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I was gonna say close windows and close doors, but you don't like I don't think that's a thing.

SPEAKER_00

Uh because I don't close windows or doors. I think we've discussed this.

SPEAKER_01

What's something I've confidently said that I that turned out to be completely wrong?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, how much time do we have? You're always telling me things as confident as can be.

SPEAKER_01

I think that the if somebody sounds confident, you almost like, damn, I think he knows what he's talking about.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's what you said about Yanni, um, the woman that he plays pickleball with, which by the way, I posted that photo of you yesterday playing pickleball, and she texted me or she like DM'd me on it and said, like, who's he playing with?

SPEAKER_01

And that's she's got like a broken ankle.

SPEAKER_00

So she's like, I think he's she's getting jealous. Anyways, Yanni is so she says things with such confidence. Like, you'll be playing pickleball, and she's like, That's out, that's out, that's out, that's out. And it's like 100% not out. And you're like, Yanni, everyone agrees that's not out.

SPEAKER_01

But she's also like she's buff, she's strong, and she's very like she was on America American Gladiators. Yeah, she's also very dominant, she's like a dominant one, she's like an alpha. Yeah, so you're also not gonna tell what you can tell her no, no, you know what I mean? Yeah, totally, but yeah, she says some shit. You know who does that a lot that sounds super confident? My brother.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, he says some shit that is like so wrong, and you're just like, What?

SPEAKER_00

You know who does that, Natasha? Oh yeah, yeah, she don't well, she's a no-it-all. We talked about it at her whole bachelorette, that she would just say things so confidently, and then you prove her wrong, and then she'll be like, Oh, well, um, I'm not wrong. I was handed wrong information. Like she like can't admit that she was a wrong.

SPEAKER_01

You know who's a little bit like that is Judy.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you didn't just say Judy's a little bit like that.

SPEAKER_00

Like, has to be right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you're and you're like, I don't know, you know?

SPEAKER_00

That's so oh, someone just said something to me the other day, and I was like, I know you're wrong, but I don't have it. It's not worth it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Do you ever have that, Eddie?

SPEAKER_01

That it's not worth it, yeah. Oh no. I'd love to tell you. Are you kidding me?

SPEAKER_00

You love to tell people they're wrong.

SPEAKER_01

Even if I don't have the time, I will let I will walk be walking away and letting them know that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh, that is so funny.

SPEAKER_01

But I also love arguing.

SPEAKER_00

That's right. Yeah, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Like I love talk show radio. Like I love that.

SPEAKER_00

You know, that's like my talk show radio.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You don't like radio like in the morning, like morning radio?

SPEAKER_00

Well, they're not fighting.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, they're often debating.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my goodness. See, no, I can't.

SPEAKER_01

I love that. I grew up on like my daddy used to listen to that in the morning, so I kind of grew up on that. Yeah. Like every morning going to school, he'd listen to radio. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, one my friend Brittany one time has she's really conflict adverse. She does not like conflict, and her therapist told her to watch more reality TV because she was like, you need to get more comfortable with like things like with conflict.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I love conflict.

SPEAKER_00

It's kind of like what you're like, it's like she wasn't exposed enough to it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I love it. I also grew up in a very loud house where there was a lot of conflict.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no.

SPEAKER_01

And you had to like stand up for yourself, or else you were gonna get walked over. Um what's the most me thing I've ever done?

SPEAKER_00

Oh. I mean, that's a tough question. I will say something that is very eddy is that um he doesn't leave me alone when I'm trying to write today, all day. I just told you guys I'm trying to get this known.

SPEAKER_01

This is my first day off in like, come on. I have uh this is my first day. I don't have an another day off this week. No, so it was our only day we could hang out. But what's beautiful? You've been at it down the last two weeks. I know. So I didn't have no one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, what's beautiful is that all you want to do is talk to me and you just want to tell me things, and you like he's I'm like, honey, do you mind if I write? I'm gonna sit on the couch, I'm gonna write. And he was watching the World Cup, and I was like, okay, but like I'm writing, so like don't talk to me, right? Like, and writing is not the kind of job you can do while also like engaging in conversation. I'm like writing 15 minutes in. I get like, he's like, Oh, you like these jerseys? Carolyn, do you think these jerseys are cool?

SPEAKER_01

I I have I've probably worked out the last like out of the last 30 out of the last month, 30 days, I've probably worked like 25 of them.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. And I but I love like you, if you and I are in the same room, you are incapable of not talking to me.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, we're hanging out.

SPEAKER_00

But we're not like that's I said, hey, I'm gonna write.

SPEAKER_01

It was also past like two.

SPEAKER_00

And then so what does that mean past two? I'm not allowed to write.

SPEAKER_01

You were busy today. I'll give you that one.

SPEAKER_00

And then you go, and then like a couple minutes later, you're like, okay, honey, I know you're working, but um, can I just tell you the backstory of this announcer? And I'm like, I don't give a fuck about the backstory about this announcer. But it's like also very heartwarming and sweet that like you want to chat and like you obviously like you're obsessed with me. You just want to talk. Am I wrong?

SPEAKER_01

Why are you so obsessed with me?

SPEAKER_00

But like you can't, you cannot, if I'm an earshot, that's why I really have to wake up early and get all my work done in the morning. Because the minute Eddie's up, we're gonna converse.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gone all day tomorrow, honey.

SPEAKER_00

Are you?

SPEAKER_01

Got a haircut and then I've got some ice cream.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe I should have worked tomorrow. Well, I am gonna work tomorrow too.

SPEAKER_01

But should we do one more?

SPEAKER_00

Let's do one. Let's do one more.

SPEAKER_01

What's a red flag about me you decided to completely ignore?

SPEAKER_00

Oh. Do you have one for me?

SPEAKER_01

Uh the fact that you don't have to shower?

SPEAKER_00

I knew you were gonna say that. That is so dumb.

SPEAKER_01

You guys, should we go into that or should we?

SPEAKER_00

No, you're so dumb.

SPEAKER_01

How alright, let's ask let's ask the world how often they shower. We can ask them now.

SPEAKER_00

I shower every day.

SPEAKER_01

No, you don't.

SPEAKER_00

Or every other day. But women don't always wash their hair.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. You you would go into your head and you shower every other day.

SPEAKER_00

I do shower a lot. I don't shower as much as you because I don't sweat as much as you. But I will also say when you work from home, sometimes the days get away from you.

SPEAKER_01

How many times do you think Natasha showers?

SPEAKER_00

She well, she's a different person.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'm just wondering. Like, I'm just I was gonna ask, I was gonna go through like friends.

SPEAKER_00

Natasha showers a lot because she will like go to Orange Theater and then she'll like come home and shower, I'm sure. I mean you go to Pilates and and uh yeah, but Pilates is like Pilates is is less of a sweaty workout.

SPEAKER_01

Um yeah. How many do you think your sister showers?

SPEAKER_00

You know, she does a lot of zooms with clients, so I think she she gets in the shower a lot.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. No, I agree. I I I have to shower every night because or else I don't feel like you're also disgusting. Yeah, I feel sticky if I don't. I hate waking up feeling sticky. Like when my balls, like my ball sack is like stuck sticking to inside of my leg, you know?

SPEAKER_00

I too, I too love a good shower. Yeah, I'm also not disgusting. I mean, like I keep our house really clean, yeah. No, wash our sheets every Sunday.

SPEAKER_01

Um You're the one that's getting kind of like you're kind of taking this.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I because you're always, always like, Oh, are you going to jowl? It'll literally be like like late at night, midnight. I'm like crawling up to bed and he's like, Are you gonna shower before you go to bed? I'm like, no.

SPEAKER_01

Because I have to shower, even if it's late, I have to just like throw water at myself.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know, my friend Darlene, every single time she would go out, like she has to shower before she goes to sleep, no matter what. Even if she's blacked out drunk, she comes home and showers. And I always thought that was so cool and chic, and I am not that girl. No, I would always just pass, I would barely make it to the bed. I barely do know even if it's a shot.

SPEAKER_01

Like if I was gonna say, if we had no showers, I think you'd be okay.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no.

SPEAKER_01

Like if the like if the world ran out of water, you'd be like, oh, that's that actually works out.

SPEAKER_00

We're great. I've got a few more got a bit more time on my hands.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Um well, thank you everybody. This is a crazy ending.
