The Busy Bee Initiative
Hello, I’m Briony, a disabled woman living with cerebral palsy. My CP has affected both my legs and right arm. From once being able to walk with a walking frame, I am now permanently confined to an electric wheelchair. Despite this, I live an independent life, using my left arm to do everyday tasks.
Welcome to the Busy Bee Initiative. This is a space where I share my own experiences of living with cerebral palsy and navigating a world that isn’t always built for people like me. Using my personal writings and lived experiences, we’ll embrace artificial intelligence to generate podcasts that dive deep into discussions about the physical and mental challenges of living with a disability, and explore how we can collectively build a world that doesn’t leave anyone behind.
So, whether you’re here to learn, reflect, or be inspired to take action, you’re in the right place. This is the Busy Bee Initiative — and together, we can make possibility a reality.

Cerebral palsy is the most common lifelong physical disability in the world. Yet one of the most important things to understand about CP is that it is not a “one-size-fits-all” condition. No two individuals with cerebral palsy are exactly alike.
