Welcome to Inspiring Hope with Lois Hermann, a podcast that explores protection, healing, and personal empowerment through meaningful conversations and real-life stories. If you're sensitive, intuitive, or seeking clarity in a busy world, you’ve come to the right place.

Jill: Welcome back to the show. We are excited to have Lois Hermann joining us today. She is the founder of Energy Clearing & Alignment, the Academy of Light, an author, host of Inspiring Hope, a metaphysical hypnotist, and so much more. Lois, welcome. Please introduce yourself.

Lois: Hello everyone. I am so glad to be here, just to shine the light. My new symbol is the lighthouse, because there are so many storms going on around us right now. My team and I have an opportunity to help people stabilize through all of the chaos. Today, I wanted to offer some ideas about how to stay steady in the middle of everything that’s happening in our world, because that is the work we do and what we offer.

Jill: Thank you. Let’s talk about maintaining positive energy, because there are challenging times happening all around us. A lot of people feel overwhelmed by everything going on. Why do sensitive or intuitive people feel this so strongly?

Lois: Oftentimes, people think something is wrong with them. They feel broken. In reality, they are simply more sensitive. In addition to experiencing their own senses, they are also picking up on the energetic frequency of fear, worry, and stress in the world. They feel that heavy, dense energy.

This isn’t something wrong with them. It’s actually a form of awareness — a gift. The challenge is that many empaths are never taught how to manage that gift, how to protect it, or how to work with it. Without those tools, it can become overwhelming.

Jill: For someone listening right now who feels drained or discouraged, what are some simple things they can do to reset their energy?

Lois: We have to recognize that we cannot fix the whole world. So we start by stabilizing the energy within ourselves and within our own space. When we do that, we naturally influence the energy around us.

It’s important to maintain a high level of energy, because even one person holding a higher vibration can positively affect many others who are experiencing fear, anger, or stress. That’s why it’s so important to learn how to do this.

We start with protection. Every morning, set your Sacred Space and set an intention for the day. Even a simple Sacred Space exercise can help stabilize your energy. If people want one, they can go to my website, LoisHermann.com, and download a free exercise right on the homepage.

Another simple practice is holding the thought: something good will come of this. Even when we don’t know what that is, that mindset helps shift our energy.

Jill: Sometimes people say they don’t meditate or have specific practices. What else can they do?

Lois: It’s important to stay informed, but we also have to choose where we get our information. Not everything we hear is grounded in truth, and there are many different agendas.

I recommend listening to people who speak from real experience rather than relying only on narrative-driven sources. Take in information in small, controlled amounts, then step away.

For every minute of stressful or negative information, balance it with a few minutes of something positive. Go outside. Get some sunlight. Feel the air. Listen to the birds. Nature is one of the most powerful ways to reset your energy.

You don’t need complicated techniques. Simply stepping away from the noise and reconnecting with nature can bring you back into balance.

Jill: Have you seen people transform their outlook just by learning to manage their energy?

Lois: Yes, absolutely. I worked with one client who became overwhelmed by world events. She was constantly consuming information and it affected her deeply. She became depressed, fearful, and easily agitated. She lost her sense of self.

Through energy clearing and learning how to manage her thoughts and emotional responses, she was able to regain balance. We worked on what I call the four levels — mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

We cleared what was disturbing her and then focused on what she wanted to achieve. She learned how to stay informed without letting information derail her sense of peace.

No one is coming to rescue us. We have to learn how to do this for ourselves.

Jill: How does creating Sacred Space help people during stressful times?

Lois: Sacred Space is a powerful tool because it allows you to set intention. Even before this conversation, I set Sacred Space and asked to speak with clarity and integrity.

When we consciously set that intention, it transforms our experience. Sacred Space creates a protective field — almost like a shield — that helps deflect negative energy.

When we stabilize our own energy, we naturally become a source of calm for others. This isn’t about being selfish. It’s about self-care. We learn to respond instead of react.

Jill: For someone listening, how can they create their own Sacred Space?

Lois: It can be very simple. Pause. Sit quietly. Place your feet on the ground and imagine yourself connected to the earth.

You can visualize being in your favorite place in nature — the beach, a forest, a meadow — wherever you feel safe and calm. Imagine a protective light surrounding you, like a bubble.

Set the intention that everything you do today is for your highest good and for the good of others. Ask your guides to support you and help you remain steady, like a lighthouse.

It’s important to remember that we are not here to help everyone. We are here to support those who are ready. That’s an important distinction for empaths.

Jill: What would you want listeners to remember when they feel overwhelmed?

Lois: We can’t always control what’s happening around us, but we can learn how to respond to it instead of reacting.

Take a breath. Go into your Sacred Space. Connect with your inner guidance. Learn discernment. Trust yourself.

If something feels off, it is off. You don’t have to engage with everything or everyone. Be mindful of who and what you allow into your space.

The foundation is simple: protection, healing, and empowerment. When we learn how to apply that, we can remain steady no matter what is happening around us.

Jill: Thank you so much. How can people reach you?
