SPEAKER_03It's called denial. And it's when you think you're okay. And when I look at you, all I see is lots of DK.
SPEAKER_00It's called hope and it's not denial.
SPEAKER_04I have a wish more powerful than any magic this land has ever known. God damn it.
SPEAKER_03And it's sadder when you think that way. Okay.
SPEAKER_02So let's start at the beginning of the episode. So how did you all feel how did you all feel uh leaving the room for the first time?
SPEAKER_03That was exciting. That was terrifying.
SPEAKER_00I had to go by myself the first time. You guys got to stay together.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it is more fun when you get to be the person that's dazed. That's for sure.
SPEAKER_06I felt as unmoored by Shane's loss when the three of us were deciding what to do with his body. I felt I mean, I felt like it was like the least responsible people being left in charge.
SPEAKER_00I couldn't hear exactly what you were saying, but it it did just sound like panic, and I was like, they uh they're just flailing out there.
SPEAKER_03I thought it was great. I thought it was great. Not to I loved it. Yeah, I loved when you left. When you walked away, it got so much better.
SPEAKER_01The thing I did say uh was I was like, Do you think when Janus comes back from the plague, he'll have a different personality? Because that would be good. And that's why they kept being like, you didn't hear what I said, right? Or whatever.
SPEAKER_02It's like what what essentially happened was um Mo Howard got struck by a plague, and Larry Curley and Shemp all had to solve the issue. Yeah, which is what you want, which is what you want. Um not not I don't wish that on Mo Howard. He's a good man.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't wish on Shane, but I wish it on our listeners.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Yeah, fun stuff.
SPEAKER_03I hope the most responsible member of your friend group gets sick. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. If the goal is comedy, the one, you know, the doctor one, the one that knows all about it.
SPEAKER_03The one that has all of the like mechanical stuff to like heal and and create healing and bring up things of healing and do all the I tried healing hands, it didn't work. So I know.
SPEAKER_01Well, I think I had a pretty cool idea.
SPEAKER_03That's true.
SPEAKER_01Which was was gonna go grab those gloves, put one on your hand and one on my hand, and use one of your spells. Gotta use one of my focus points somehow.
SPEAKER_03So why didn't you do that?
SPEAKER_01Well, I think your well, didn't we decide that like healing wouldn't help?
SPEAKER_06I yeah, I said that healing wouldn't help. Oh, okay. And then the plague was coming.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it needed something a little more powerful.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I tried healing. So I tried love.
SPEAKER_02The idiot. Um so you guys, three of you have seen what lies beyond infection. Yeah. What do you guys think of that stuff?
SPEAKER_06It's all right.
SPEAKER_01I don't think we should talk about it. I don't think Sarah should be able to.
SPEAKER_03I think Sarah should leave her.
SPEAKER_01The episode comes out next week. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So I feel like do the reveal now so you get footage of my reaction to it rather than restrict her as well. If I'm listening to it in my house, I'll go, whoa, that's cool.
SPEAKER_02But everyone leaving the room was more just for like the tension of the moment, but like uh you all pretty much told each other everything you saw. Like, we don't have to.
SPEAKER_03Oh, well, they didn't tell me what they saw.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so what we didn't saw.
SPEAKER_03No, we didn't tell her anything. Well, we just told me scales.
SPEAKER_02I mean, they they told you about the ping pong balls. Creatures.
SPEAKER_03Well, I guess Janice Shane said creatures, and then he opened a box.
SPEAKER_00I told you everything that I had, and I pulled out a ping pong ball that said Lance.
SPEAKER_01So what we saw was We were having a good time. We were like astrally projected over the boat. We were watching Shane or Janice punches us both, trying to heal us, I imagine. And we're just being a dick. I think it was a second one. And then um, we also saw our bodies were like hot white. Oh, and then they were hot white.
SPEAKER_06Um, the snakes were leeching.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the snakes were sort of like that. It seems like Janice was doing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So while I I didn't tell you guys this, um, I asked Farrica for help uh and tried to use my alembic, and I got um an awakened um six spells ability, and I got spirit shroud and aura of vitality. So what the snakes were were a manifestation of aura of vitality, which lets which lets me emanate a healing aura for 30 feet, and then every turn I can use my bonus action to do a little bit of healing. Wow. Rita Rita. Rita.
SPEAKER_02Um, it was funny the difference of vibe between Janice in that place and Rex and Patch. In hindsight, I should not have put them together. Janice was like, oh my god, what is this? Oh, oh my god. And Patch and Janice were like, pull my finger! We were having fun.
SPEAKER_06Oh no. We didn't literally do that.
SPEAKER_02No, you didn't do that. No, but we were with high five and yeah, yeah. I feel like after seeing the first time that it's like a weird, scary place, you guys being a little goofy the second time, that's yeah. That's fun.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We yeah, we saw the snakes, and then we also saw these creepy demon flying monsters above us that were hot white.
SPEAKER_06And then I saw purple justice scales, and then I woke up, and then I had to leave.
SPEAKER_01After you drew from the box, I just told him that I was gonna become a tree.
SPEAKER_06So you found a box. The box was on the in the boat with us. Oh, okay. Yeah, the box on the on the boat on the floor.
SPEAKER_01We don't aft bound. On the bottom.
SPEAKER_03You didn't it like there, yeah, on the deck central. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, yeah, I didn't get to uh see my ball. So Spencer might have been just yeah.
SPEAKER_06Spencer told us not to look at our balls.
SPEAKER_02I I I thought that would be more fun. Um, but you got snake tree and you got fate.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, because Spencer said that, and I didn't clock that that was something that I got. I thought I was just like, that was the box of fate that I was. I was like, oh, fate gave you this. That's the I said.
SPEAKER_02That is the that is the what you drew from the box.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so that's that's kind of what happened. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I I feel like Janice coming back from that and immediately doing a Superman charge at Plague. That's awesome. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_00It was catching up with us anyway, so I was like, if it if I can have it surround me, it won it everybody, but uh I was like, maybe this will work. It didn't.
SPEAKER_06So are Janus and Patch still at risk for suddenly disappearing?
SPEAKER_00Maybe.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_03I think we don't know what happens because usually it's like people get sick or not. Like there's like that first week of some some sometimes symptoms that appear and sometimes they don't, and then people are disappearing after like a week.
SPEAKER_00I mean, what's interesting is is we now know what it is, and I'm curious if Cersei uh also being an Oracle has any like tether to what happened to her and like what happened to her. Um, because now we know, like, oh well, the illness is you draw from the box of many things and you get whatever fate it is. Um, but what about the people who don't draw? Do they just not wake up until they draw? Is that the people who just stay asleep? Yeah, I don't know. Could be. Spence, you do know. I don't know. You do know Spencer.
SPEAKER_06That sounds like that sounds I mean, because I was wondering like, why did we? I mean, I think, you know, just from like a narrative storytelling perspective, it makes sense for us to wake up pretty quickly. But, you know, what makes us different that we're waking up soon rather than like, is it like our godly, our godliness that makes us be able to wake up?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, people people are waking up in various times. Like, some people wake up immediately, some people it takes some time. Some people stay like coma's about it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01At least I'm not coma'd about it. Because you're fine. I know I'm gonna be able to do it. You're fine, but I do yeah, no, let's not talk about me. You're pine.
SPEAKER_03I would say you're pine coned about it.
SPEAKER_02So your pine about it worked. I'd what's the coning instead of uh what did you say?

SPEAKER_02Um, I think let's I think we're all dancing around tree.

SPEAKER_06What happened with the tree? I actually don't remember. What what tree?
SPEAKER_02I guess I must have my notes wrong. It must be a good episode. Oh, the tree, the big tree you guys went into in the third.
SPEAKER_06No, we went we went to Sylvan Heights. That's what we're talking about. The trees and Sylvanights.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, Sylvan Heights. Rex is turning into a tree. What? What?
SPEAKER_06Oh, I didn't catch that.
SPEAKER_01Rex is turning into a tree. He made a big deal out of it.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I thought you were kind of underselling it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Hey, that's I was trying, I was trying to really live in the emotional moment of it.
SPEAKER_06No, I'm worried that he's gonna about start binge drinking.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, I think um Rex being incredibly frustrated that he's the only one who gets something like pull something shitty is fucking awesome. Yeah, like it's so fun to play like Rex being. It's fun to play Rex being like a goal on girl. It's also fun playing Rex being like, I'm fucked. What the fuck? Like, this sucks for me.
SPEAKER_02I feel like Rex and Patch are like the if either of you get something bad, you're both so whiny in a good way.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's fun for you guys. It's actually less so for us to be like, okay.
SPEAKER_01Is it is it suck for you?
SPEAKER_03I think in like in character, like in a good way too.
SPEAKER_01But Sarah.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, not in Sarah.

SPEAKER_01Okay, cool. Just making sure. Yeah, it's all in good fun. Yeah. Um, but I think like finding the reaction of like, obviously, Rex is not gonna be like I think it's tough sometimes when when you're role-playing to to like sense and choose the right emotion to react to something. Yeah, yeah. Like there's definitely been times when things have happened emotionally for Rex that I I'm like, I feel like I chose the right emotion and I went with it. And like I feel great about that. And there's another time where I'm like, oh, Rex is underselling this. Yeah, you know, and like or Matt is underselling it, yeah, or whatever. And I think like this is it's a gift to as much as it's like not the place I like Matt would want to go, it's a gift to be like, hey man, you're fucked. Like it is uh it's an opportunity to play Rex at his most uh scared, which and how does he react when he's scared is he's going to be kind of a dick.
SPEAKER_00Run and run back to daddy, yeah.
SPEAKER_06And I I think there's a little bit of like a boy who cried wolf aspect with Rex a little bit. Like I think that's how Patcha's gonna is is reacting, is like Rex complains all the time about shit that's going on with um, so this is just like another like kind of junky.
SPEAKER_00What was Rex what was Rex all melancholy about before he even got sick? He was being weird in the boat.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, he was like, oh, what are we doing?
SPEAKER_01Oh, when you were dying? Yeah, when you were afflicted by the flag. Um I think it was oh, it was when you like became Superman. I was like, I don't know what to do. Like, I'm kind of looking, I think Rex is looking to Janice as the leader right now. Like and like the conversation that Janice and Rex had where it was like, hey, I need you to be a hero. Or like I, you know, I want you to come if you want to be a hero. And I think like this is when you're not when like Janice didn't communicate what he was gonna do or whatever, and like I don't know what the fuck to do. I'm piloting this boat, like right.
SPEAKER_03I I guess I'll just keep rowing. Yeah, yeah. Like, what am I what especially because your um combat is is close combat.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. And Rex is so quick to those reactions of like something isn't going his way, he's gonna react about it. So I think that I assume that you know that the this um arc for him is gonna be a lot of him trying to like convince us that it's worth worrying about. I don't think Patch is convinced.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, like Matt is not worried about Rex. Yeah, yeah, because I'm confident that we're gonna be able to figure it out. But I think that's like when Spencer goes, hey, yeah, take uh two off your dexterity for every day that you have this, it's like oh shit, that sucks.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And but I think like I was thinking about it, and I think the thing the real emotional core of it for Rex is he wanted to come here to be like a true hero, and in his mind that means saving other people. But now he's a now he has to save himself. Yeah, and that's the thing that's like this is now become the stakes have heightened, or and it becomes a selfish act, or like less selfless. I think that's the thing that he's like most frustrated with. He's like, this was supposed to be like fun. This was supposed to be cool, and I was gonna save this town with my friends, and now I'm gonna turn into a tree. Yeah. And I think like taking his um defeatist sort of like, no, just plant me in a fucking yard, you know, like just get rid of me. Yeah, you know, is and then going to like the you know what when you guys were like doing all the puns and stuff, which were very funny. Um being like, you know what, actually, I'm gone. I'm gone. I'm gonna go back to my old life, you know, and being like it's the true test for him, I think, in this arc isn't necessarily like trying to convince you guys that it's a big thing, but trying to internally solve the riddle of is there duality here? Or like can you save other people and save yourself and it be like heroic? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I think that Rex is uh in his heroism looking for like that self-confidence and self of sense or sense of self.
SPEAKER_02Like self of different, the various things that you can smell like.
SPEAKER_03Right. Self of smells.
SPEAKER_01He's gonna smell like pine, pretty soon.
SPEAKER_06Well, because now he's not a true hero, but he is a tree hero. Right.
SPEAKER_01Come on.
SPEAKER_03Um, but I think in in the sense that like um uh you're looking to what's the there's a word I'm looking for, and I can't think of what the word is. It's the story of my life. Orange. Um actualize. Uh self-confidence, like your sense of per not purpose, but like just um uh like like Rex will have worth, maybe self-worth, I think. Esteem. Yeah, self-esteem. Self-esteem coming from if I'm saving other people, then I'm a good person, then I have self-esteem, then I can then like uh people will be proud of me, then I can be proud of myself. And that if you save, if you have to save yourself, can't like you don't get those things from that. Like that's what it feels like to Rex, right? Because like if I save myself, I'm not gonna get the self-esteem, the self-worth, the self-confidence from saving somebody else, even though you're still saving someone. And just like what you're saying about like, can he be a hero if he saves himself? It's like what he gets out of saving other people, he doesn't feel like he can get out of saving himself.
SPEAKER_01Right. I think that like what was I think maybe attractive to Rex in this like you know, uh current quest that we're on uh or trying is uh that it was so impersonal. Is that like this isn't my town, I'm doing this as a favor to Janice, I'm doing this, and then it becomes incredibly personal when it's like your person, yeah, your your physical body, beautiful uh your palm five foot eleven body is about how are you ever gonna finger your palm, guys. I think we're gonna I think we're gonna cut the fingers out. So are you are you palm leaf?
SPEAKER_06Palm tree. Yeah, that is yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01My palms, my roots, my your layers, aspens. All of those things uh are your Douglas furs. Your trunk. It's Frazier fur.
SPEAKER_06Douglas fur is a tree.
SPEAKER_01It is. It is uh no need to throw shade. Inferior.
SPEAKER_06Oh.
SPEAKER_01Um that's good. But yeah, I think it becomes incredibly personal, and it is like this was gonna be Rex's like in the past, right? We've had uh I guess Rex could have walked away from Siren's Perch and not done, I guess he was motivated by the quest or whatever.
SPEAKER_03Also, Siren's perch was easy, not in terms of like physical thing, but like in terms of like the emotional there was nothing that was like self-introspective about Siren's perch.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then yeah, going to the Ariac of being like, oh no, this is like I'm in the fucking dungeon, you know what I mean? And this was like one that was like all these people are in a dungeon, and I'm gonna help save them from the outside, and then it's like, oh no, I'm in the dungeon again. You know, that kind of vibe. Yeah. So that's how I think Rex is taking it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I'm glad that one of you got something negative because if all of you got superpowers, like more superpowers on top of the extra superpowers you already have from this, I feel like that would kill the stakes.
SPEAKER_00Is the box of many things relatively 50-50?
SPEAKER_02Um, no, it's actually it's it's favored towards unfavorable. Oh wow. Oh, is it really? Yeah, you guys just were pretty lucky.
SPEAKER_03Well, we well, we don't know that for sure. We don't know about all.
SPEAKER_00We don't know about Sarah wants to get sick so bad.
SPEAKER_03I mean I'm feeling FOMO.
SPEAKER_00Sarah wants to reach that box of many things.
SPEAKER_06Can you talk about Patch's wish? Or where were you?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely. I was just gonna bring that up. Like, that is one that is there, there's a couple in there that are like, could be good, could be bad. This is one of them that is not necessarily wheel or woe.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's for me, Chloe the player. Like, I I feel like you said something similar to the Spencer last or last week or something. But I'm like the type who like if I get a cool item in a video game, like I'm never gonna use it. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm very like, I'm so indecisive of like how I'm how Patch is gonna use this wish because Patch, my my first reaction was like, oh, I can just like get rid of the tree thing. But as I was talking, you know, Patch realizes, like, oh, but you know, this is a wish that could do anything. Um so I'm very interested to see how that affects things. I think I'm nervous to see what Patch does with it because it is a thing of like, oh, I don't want to waste it.
SPEAKER_03Like well, and also I like as soon as you initially said, Oh, well, I can just wish you you've never become a tree. It was like, there are so many ways that can go wrong. Like trying to figure out a way to shore up your wish, which is gonna be impossible, but like you're gonna screw yourself over in some way, no matter what you wish for, even if you find the right thing to wish for. Yeah. Yeah. Um, and that's gonna be interesting.
SPEAKER_01I think like I didn't want like Matt did not want you to use the wish to undo this like mechanic for Rex. And so, like, in doing that, my thing was like, I think Rex said something like, Oh, buddy, that's like awesome.
SPEAKER_02You could do that for me, but like, you know, you could like wish for so much money, yeah, you know, just to like don't you as Matt were like, please don't do that. I know, we all saw that in your eyes. That's so thoughtful. And I thought about that as well.
SPEAKER_06I was like, well, what's and then I thought about that with like I mean, it says it on the card that I can't do with the plague, but even like just thinking if it didn't say that, like I Chloe wouldn't want to use the wish to cure the plague, like that would be boring, right? Yeah, um, so it's like what wish is gonna be the most fun.
SPEAKER_01Like my my ideal situation is obviously like us as a as a foursome beat the plague. Yeah, and then you're left with this wish.
SPEAKER_06I feel like Patch is gonna wish for like a bouncy house.
SPEAKER_01I think like but the thing, like like there's so many options because you just had this phoenix uh bamboozlement, and like you could have you could unwish that happening. There's all these things.
SPEAKER_03Um I it I think it is gonna be like I hope uh I hope it you wish big.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know, like I think it because it's gonna go weird in a different way. Like, I want I I want you to wish that your secret had never gotten out. I want you to wish that you have a million dollars and your debt's gone. Like, you know what I mean? Like, I I think that that's really interesting, and obviously whatever feels right to you and whatever.
SPEAKER_06But I I think that that's but that's what makes me anxious, is like both as patch and as the performers. Like, I don't want to, you know, you waste it.
SPEAKER_00I think it's fun to I mean if If you go big, you won't waste it because yeah, even if it's a monkey's paw situation where it's like, Well, I'm making this big wish, there might be big consequences. Yeah, we get to play the consequences. That'll be fun. Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_06And Lucy still has that bag of beans. Yes. I hope that's a lot of chaos around here.
SPEAKER_02Today I was like going back through what was what's in the box.
SPEAKER_06What's in the box? What's in the box?
SPEAKER_02And I fully this morning at 7 a.m. deleted the fate ball from my list. I was like, I feel like, you know, this could go really poorly.
SPEAKER_03And then interesting.
SPEAKER_02Today in the middle of work, I was thinking about it, um, actively not doing my job. And I was like, I'm gonna put it back because that's fun. Like, it's gonna be hard, but it's gonna be fun, whatever happens. And so I'm glad that I'm glad that it's back and I'm glad that someone got it.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_00And I'm glad that person's gonna be.
SPEAKER_06And I am excited for like whatever like you know tension it might start between Rex and Patch for the first time.
SPEAKER_01Just get so prepared for Rex the Guilt Trip.
SPEAKER_02I feel like Patch also has the most selfish reason, like motivation of any of the characters. Like, like if Rex had a wish, it might be to like bring back his mom. Yeah, yeah. Which is like, I mean, obviously he benefits, but you know, yeah, that's altruistic. Patch gets a fuck ton of cash.
SPEAKER_06It's also the most kind of like, you know, of course there's ways it can be fucked over, but in my mind, like asking for uh a hundred thousand gold is hard to monkey's paw on the way that it is. Like I know, I know, but life insurance for Nikki's death. Sarah!
SPEAKER_00Yeah, or the money could be. It took Sarah zero seconds to monkey's paw.
SPEAKER_05Sarah's been thinking about that. That's the thing with monkey's paw. Like, I think Sarah's always thinking that's monkey's paw.
SPEAKER_02That is in fact the actual case of the short story The Monkey's Paw. Yeah. They wish for money and they get life insurance from their son.
SPEAKER_06Well, it doesn't his and then they wish for the son to come back, right? And he supports and that's what would happen with Rex's mom.
SPEAKER_02Maybe. You know. Well, maybe. We'll see.
SPEAKER_03All humans, well, all beings want the same things money and their loved ones that have died.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, I'm happy. Yeah. I think only at Christmas time. Only at Christmas time. I will say, but I I do think it I think if one of you guys were gonna become a tree, Rex would have wished for you to not become a tree.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Just because I think that Rex, even if Sarah's performer artist were screaming at you and saying, Don't make, don't undo this, don't undo this. I'm gonna have so much fun ruining your life.
SPEAKER_01No, it would have been edited out. I probably would have wished for it, and then it would have been like, Wait, wait, wait, it's a girl. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Well, that's kind of what happened this time. I was like, I can't, I wish for Rex to not tree. And then we all was like, is that your wish?
SPEAKER_02No, because I just wanted to confirm your vo like how you're saying like how you're saying it. Like, I wonder.
SPEAKER_01Rex is actually gonna become a bush now. Oh my fun.
SPEAKER_02Um strawberry. I I know what will happen if you wish for that, and I will not tell you.
SPEAKER_06Oh, great. Well, I got something.
SPEAKER_03What if you were like, I know that's what's gonna happen, and I will tell you. It's this.
SPEAKER_02Um, also, this is what's going on, and uh here's where Cersei is.
SPEAKER_00Um, yeah, I guess she disappeared. Yeah, which shouldn't surprise us at this point. What so what was I didn't talk to Cersei once this episode because by the time I woke up, she was gone. Uh what did she she was just freaking out?
SPEAKER_06She's freaking out, and then she was like, I'll go get Whisper and meet y'all at Janice's house. She's the one who told us to take you to the house.
SPEAKER_00Oh, well then is she we're expecting that.
SPEAKER_06I think that you're I think that your idea of her already going to the temple is good. Something that I've been forgetting with Cersei is that she is what, like 19? Yeah, like she is very like young and rebellious. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01She is the dusk.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. We're all mature 23-year-olds.
SPEAKER_03Maybe she's evil.

Like it's not like they get home and it's like, oh, we now we have to talk about it. Yeah. Um, but then Lucy ending it with, oh, and and everyone's sick. It was perfect. It was perfect. It I'm really that is better than what I had planned, which would be which was also better than if they were just up waiting. Yeah, you know.

SPEAKER_02I I will say that draw, um, I was like, oh, I hope something blows the fuck up. Um but I that that draw is was interesting. There was one, you were one number away from teleporting, just like randomly 60 feet away. That's funny. Um, which would have been funny if Lucy just fucking her and disappears.

But as I was looking through everything, I was like, this is really the most effective. It's the big boom. We already talked about fireworking. Um, and I just I like the idea of like, you know, when you especially when you were describing the spores like closing in on us, like that Lucy's magic would want to just do the opposite of that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00The creative fate has been very kind to us, with the sole exception of any time we have to run in it. Yeah. No, no, just disease checks. It does not like anytime I've rolled in it for anything else, it's like, yeah, here's 19. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Uh I rolled multiple times in it last episode, and I was totally fine. Not that like whatever.
SPEAKER_02You guys made the same DC saving throw like five times last episode. Right. And ultimately, like I, in thinking about this, I was like, well, Rex will probably never catch the disease because it's such a low constitution save. It's a 12.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I have plus five. I had five fucking cracks at it.

SPEAKER_01Two, an immediate two, and like, okay, we got another shot at it. Three, another three. Yeah. And then like a five, I think. And I like that to me is you know, the dice tell the story.

SPEAKER_01Yeah. And it was, and like that was very thoughtful that you used that. Like, um I that's the only time that I was actually pissed off because I was like, oh, you fucker. Like, come on. Like there, the odds are so in my favor to pass this. And but I'm happy that it happened because I think it got gave Rex uh a motivation, even though it's like not the motivation he wanted. But now he's mad at everyone. Yeah. So that's yeah, but I don't know if that's fun for you guys to play with.

No, no, no, but and then it I think it makes sense for Lucy to have her panic attack, like yes, the magically induced panic attack. Yeah, yeah. But I do think it is like Lucy being the one person to not get it is really fun. Yeah, and I I was like, I I don't know if this will be in the episode, but I was like, as long as this Lucy doesn't get sick, I'm cool. Yeah, like but it is it does add um like the severity. Now Rex is the one who wasn't before, but now Rex is the one to be like, no guys, we have to do this. Like, you know, this urgency for him. And it's an urgency that he didn't want.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So that's kind of the like it feels it's like an urgency, but then also like a not not a knot, but like when in when you were sent in your sense of like I'm just gonna go leave then.
SPEAKER_02It's like urgent, but also certainly gonna die.
SPEAKER_03Well, right, but like you were like, uh screw this then, you know, like was your your initial reaction.

And like prior to getting infected with this, like Rex was like, I'm having a vacation, you know, like even when when Janice was passed out, I was being very goofy. Yeah. Um but now I think Rex is gonna be less uh goofy, which is fun because I think Rex is a very goofy character that I enjoy playing his goofy side, but also the emotional side. And I don't think I've really played the like super angry side. No, not really. But or or f scared side.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I think the anger red, I think um, one thing that I want to note, um, we we're doing tactical mind wrong. Um it's something it's not advantage, you add a d10. So you could have made it. Um if you want to roll the d10 right now and see what you would have gotten.
