SPEAKER_01Well, long distance friendships are hard. Sarah, is that a real thing you've gone through as a friend break? No? Okay, I was checking. I was taking pictures. I was like, oh my God.
SPEAKER_02Sarah, how many of your high school friends do you still know?
SPEAKER_00You made it in real life? One or two. I was, I was, I was doing a bit. No, I got it. It was just really sad. Yeah. Okay. This is not the by far not the saddest bit that we've done. No, because it hurt my feelings.

SPEAKER_05Yes. So uh speaking of script, uh, can everyone flip to the page about the parade?
SPEAKER_02Oh, yes. Uh how'd you guys like the parade? It was so cute. It made me emotionally cute. It made yeah, it made me emo.
SPEAKER_00I really like the parade. Yeah, there you go. The black parade. Um, I really liked the chance. That was very fun for me.
SPEAKER_02Uh the little actually the little um the lead up to the parade with the little like with the drama with the oh yeah. Well, with the two kids running up the hill and like uh doing a little thing and then like oh they came back later. Oh, which I wanted to talk about. Can I can I bring a topic?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh it was so cute uh for Lucy to have opened an orphanage and had like those couple little orphans there too. Uh how much of that I mean, it obviously I think that's what you said you were gonna spend your time doing. Uh yes. And and that's very sweet. Um but the little kids were there too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was fun. I knew uh that was before we wrapped up when it was like, oh, are we gonna have time the next episode to like talk about what we had done in the meantime? Um because I was just thinking that there were so many, you know, like after the snap in um in Marvel, like there were just like so many people had been disappeared from Plutopolis that there probably were a lot of orphans. And so I think that Lucy was clocking that and they would have put something together. Yeah. Not that there probably isn't already, you know, but you're running the other one out of business by doing it better.
SPEAKER_05Lucy definitely she you're doing competitive Well, she she lowered her prices.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah, you do have a business degree, right?
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say that you're franchising, you know? Yeah, like you now have two.
SPEAKER_05It's called the Plutopolis Sirens Perch is orphanage. Exactly. Loose nodles.
SPEAKER_01The the not the knots, not adopted, but with the knots, yeah, not adopted.
SPEAKER_04Not alive or present parents. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's the that's underneath the sign where it would say no vacancy, it says not adopted when there are orphans.
SPEAKER_05It's really people come to the orphanage a good amount of time to like get orphans and they see not adopted and they go, does that mean they don't adopt them after?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the K is burnt out on the sign.
SPEAKER_05And so then they they leave.
SPEAKER_00It's it's well, I mean, we're we're not trying to move merch fast.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. Quite. Hey, hang on to them, you know.
SPEAKER_00We're really trying to develop the product.
SPEAKER_05An orphanage proprietor who's like, God, they they leave the nest so fast. Like that.
SPEAKER_00He's really trying to flip them.
SPEAKER_05He's like, God, I wish they stayed a little longer.
SPEAKER_00You know? Oh.
SPEAKER_05Um, yeah, no, I think I really like that you did that. That's very fun. Um it's fun that Kedra will be your your agent there because you were gonna open the orphanage and I was like, there's gotta be someone Well, and I was also thinking that, oh, Cadra's perfect because she's gonna want it because they don't have kids.
SPEAKER_00And then it was like, no, she really doesn't want to do it. Like, this woman doesn't want to have children? What?
SPEAKER_05I mean, she was she was she's of a position in society that's like if she wanted to have kids, they could have adopted one. But yeah, I think that that's a fun thing of like uh uh I don't know, having to be responsible for a kid and then learning to like the kids.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, very cute.
SPEAKER_05Like you guys did with Torin Alabaster. Oh man.
SPEAKER_02We only hit him a few times.

SPEAKER_05Then we got uh we got we got Patchy's work on Clanky.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, some some some tinkering going on in the stew. Uh yeah, I'm excited to utilize that and really make Clanky like just a you know, he really is just an extra combatant, which I think has been very helpful.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He's very powerful.
SPEAKER_00I really love any sort of scene between you and Clanky because it I the more personality that we see from Clanky, the more we love him. And so I prefer them or her. I don't know. Yeah. It. Yeah, it's a it's a robot. Um I think I think Patch calls him boy. Okay, boy. Um and that one was just so particularly sweet that I really enjoyed that.
SPEAKER_01I think so. My my headcanon is that Patch really likes animals, but he doesn't have the natural confidence or whatever you need to get animals to like you. So he likes it. He now has made himself a pet that um responds specifically to him.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's cool.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, yeah. Wait, Chloe, is that real about it? No, animals love me.
SPEAKER_05Wait, Chloe, is that real about you?
SPEAKER_01No. Animals and babies love me. Did that happen to you one point? Never.

SPEAKER_01I've never gone out to an animal and it did not trust me. That's awesome. That's how I survived in the woods. Kind of.

SPEAKER_05I think I think they would have been like skills you could you could use. They probably wouldn't have been reliable talents like the dice screwed you over on that.
SPEAKER_03I think. Yeah. Oh yeah, but it's no, it's no biggie.
SPEAKER_05And you know, we did skip your uh jigsaw journey. So perhaps like you silently got really fast jigsaw. I did. We'll just canonically say that Rex's right.
SPEAKER_00Next puzzle night in the hut is gonna be a surprise. It'll be an afternoon, it'll be, I don't know, not a not a full night.

SPEAKER_01Yeah, and that was Chloe being relieved that you weren't relieved, yeah, that you were choosing the pits. He felt so warm.
SPEAKER_03Matt being like, I'm so dumb. Why didn't I do that?
SPEAKER_01But uh But then you still well I'm flashing forward, you still didn't want to do it for your talent.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's because I would have had to do it as me. But you didn't know that a lot of you know that ahead of time. That's true.
SPEAKER_05I guess I spoiler alert, I guess, for the next for the next episode.

SPEAKER_03I was really happy with the response that I got from reading out like the Rex's door-to-door magazine sales. That was cute.
SPEAKER_02That was so cute.
SPEAKER_03Uh uh, because I had that idea and then I was like, let me write it out so I can do it as like deadpan um le as least enthusiastic as in as least enthusiastically as possible because that's like just how they do it.
SPEAKER_05That's perfect. I love that.
SPEAKER_00It was also uh not enthusiastic and then also a little bit nervous. Like a little bit when that that was so sweet to see Rex with that energy of like I'm I'm asking for help a little bit here, and I'm uncomfortable with that.
SPEAKER_05It gave the vibe of like a kid who's like sent to live with his aunt who doesn't know him, and so he like shows up at the door with a note from the mom that's just like, Hi, I am your nephew. Yeah, I have been asked if I could you um you're supposed you know are to expect me. Um, can I stay with you? My name is Rex, and I like trains and hanging out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Spencer, did that happen to you? That happened to me. I don't know.
SPEAKER_05I feel like it's sentimentary for it. I feel like in a previous life it happened to me.
SPEAKER_01I feel like Spencer would have grown up a series of unfortunate events style.
SPEAKER_05Yes, that's what I'm thinking. Spencer, that's what it feels like. Yes, for sure.
SPEAKER_00But also, if you told me that you were shipped up to the north during the Blitz, I would also believe you for that.

SPEAKER_01And then O stands for something, but then it's like, no, his name is Patch O'Neadies with an apostrophe. But his name is Patchinides. Yeah. His name is Patch Needies O'Neadies with an apostrophe.

And stupidly in my head, I was like, Yeah, they're not gonna why would they want to stop? There's nothing for them.
SPEAKER_02I do like in my I in I haven't gotten to that part of the episode, but like in my head, I like you were like, There's this beautiful tower in the distance. The sun beckons you.
SPEAKER_00The plot could go anywhere, but it has to go here first. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05No, it was truly. I in my in my head, I was like, I think I added the temple existing in a moment because I was like, oh, it could just be like the island and there's like a cave on there. But I was like, no, they'd probably go look at the cave. There'd probably be like some sort of site there that people would like pay pilgrimage to.
SPEAKER_00Um turns out it's the linchpin of the mythology.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, turns out there's there's informational plaques. Huge, huge episode for too much lore drop.
SPEAKER_00No, I actually really enjoyed the lore drop, and I really enjoyed the picture of us getting along along. Okay, next one, next one. Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle.
SPEAKER_05I don't remember if I said this in the episode, but like they always tell you show, not tell. And I literally say it. I told, I told. Like it was just like tell, tell, tell.
SPEAKER_02What do you mean they were plexed in pictures? That's true.
SPEAKER_00I was invested in it. Like it wasn't until uh like later on, maybe like three quarters of the way through that through the whole telling that I went, Oh, he's been talking for a while. Like I was really involved in hearing all the lore. I thought you did a great job.
SPEAKER_01And it made sense, I thought, like, to have this recap of the gods after we had this big encounter with Eurifon. Yeah, and like resetting it did feel appropriate. It gives it more context.
SPEAKER_05It brings back the the Titans too, because that's like another threat that you guys kind of took a back seat for a little while.
SPEAKER_00It's the bigger fish that could take out Urrifon.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You have to know though, like video game rules apply here, and we're going completionist mode. Like, if you show us a door, we're gonna open it.
SPEAKER_05Well, and ultimately, like what I had planned in my head is I was like, Oh, yeah, it'll start raining and they'll have to go take shelter somewhere. And I've got this. I've got this, like, this abandoned fort from the war that's like it's got all these fucking letters in it, and I'm like, let's oh man, we missed we need to go back to the letter. I could have 100% just put you next to that tower. You would have been like, I'll go in. But instead, I was like, no, I'm gonna make them look for that tower like a dump. Like, I'm gonna make it rain, and then they're gonna be like, let me find shelter, and it's gonna feel so natural, and they're gonna be like, oh, whoa, it's raining outside, now we're inside. Dumbass.
SPEAKER_00I mean, that's exactly what happened. It was raining, and then we popped open our hut and we went outside.
SPEAKER_05And then you would would be in your gendered bathrooms and with the bed. Um the hut was fine.
SPEAKER_00It was so funny.
SPEAKER_05I do love a travel episode for you two. Absolutely. Um, the the beds. Every time Rex is like, we're sharing a room. The funniest thing that that has been since this, I think the second episode of the podcast has been a running joke. Yeah, such a funny joke. It's such a funny job.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, since we were at the at the orphanage. Yes.

SPEAKER_00Yeah, you took the bed right next to me.

SPEAKER_00And the the picture of you up against the grate, like sleeping to try to be as close to Patch as possible.

SPEAKER_00I feel like it's very fascinating. What I'm enjoying is like the mirroring of like Rex slash Matt does not want to be possessed by Mogus.
