SPEAKER_03Guys, the placenta is is is a and you know, correct me when I'm wrong, Dr. Shane, is is a collection of all the nutrients that the baby has in the uterus during pregnancy.

SPEAKER_03It's the amniotic kind of.
SPEAKER_01It is kind of their because it's it's it's like their camel back.
SPEAKER_07It's like they gotta grab their tote bag before they do the baby.
SPEAKER_01Um and so there's, you know, it's it's much better if if you have twins, it's better for them to be um uh fraternal and each have their own placenta. Um identical twins sometimes only have one placenta and they have to share it in identical triplets, like the weird ones. The more identical, the more they share placenta, the rougher it is because it's harder to make nutrients.

SPEAKER_01Remembering when he had that placenta he delivered. In in PA school, I had cadaver lab right before lunch, and uh formaldehyde triggers your hunger response. So I fucking really yes, so I'm very used to like working with the dead body being like, I'm starving right now. Wait a second. So this conversation could not bother me to be a good one. You ever taken a nibble? No.
SPEAKER_04How does formaldehyde trigger a hunger response?
SPEAKER_01I don't know, but we were sitting there and uh our our professors came by and they were two um physical therapy professors because they have to know more of the muscles. They have to help the yeah, so they just know they they're very good at anatomy. Anywho, um have a physical therapist be your anatomy professor if you're in PA school. Uh and they came by and we were like, hey, everyone at this table is starving right now, and um, we think that's weird. And they were like, Oh, yeah, it's the formaldehyde, it triggers that response. They're like, very normal, they get very hungry. Like, the hunger isn't real, it's just formaldehyde. And we were like, Oh, that's hunger is real better.
SPEAKER_07You've contracted ghoul fever, and yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But then we go to lunch after and and have like link sausages and like a mutton. Yeah, we make this meat cold, yeah. Yeah, some cold grapes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I feel like there should be more like more um practical um usages for formaldehyde. Like for people who maybe are going through like cancer treatment, who don't have much of an appetite.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's actually.
SPEAKER_07Well, there it's already had Olivia knew a woman who back before it was banned by the FDA was accidentally like it was using this face cream that like kept her skin pristine. And then the face cream went away because it was banned by the FDA, but she like found like a cache of it at like a department store and like bought it all, used it for like almost the remainder of her life. And the reason it was banned by the FDA in like the 60s or 70s or whatever was because it was full of formaldehyde. So she was just like every night putting a little bit of formaldehyde on it. Kind of makes sense though.
SPEAKER_04If it works rolling your face, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07And uh uh uh apparently it worked, smooth skin. Apparently.
SPEAKER_04How long did she live?
SPEAKER_07Um, two weeks.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's why her skin was so smooth.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, she was the rest of her life. Um we talk about an episode. Um, speaking of dead people, murder. Oh yes, multiple murders. Multiple, multiple bodies the bodies hit the floor. Um one via uh via allergic reaction, three via huge light. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I really felt bad for um Ariana, who died via allergic reaction from some Pibbleberries. That's horrifying. I felt really like it's such a yeah, it's a such a horrifying death. Like I felt so bad for her. Like I didn't I didn't think it was funny when she died.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's good. Unlike other times, you shouldn't think it's funny when most people die.
SPEAKER_03I it was funny when the twin when the triplets died, probably. Well, because they were mean. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I feel like either so far, I mean, I guess And also Ryan, right?
SPEAKER_03Not no, he saved him still alive. Oh, you're right. Sorry, I'm sorry, no.
SPEAKER_07I feel like so far in the murder mystery arcs, I guess you didn't really know the first person who died in the like the the theater arc.
SPEAKER_03Um yeah, she was just an actress. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07But in the second one, I was like, I'm gonna make this guy you hate him.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that was.
SPEAKER_07And then in this one, I was like, I'm gonna make it you like her.
SPEAKER_04We're hitting all the tropes. It's great. Well, it works. But I also okay, I was congratulating myself so hard on convincing her to sit with us. And I was like, I'm gonna speed run this again where I'm gonna make friends with someone and they're gonna give us all the information afterwards, and Spencer won't see it coming. Ha ha ha. And then she died.
SPEAKER_07Pumpy died in Patch's arms. He was talking about that's yeah, that's why I felt bad.
SPEAKER_03It's like this is the first time I think Patch has been truly affected by a death in front of him. It's because there's this poor woman who ate a berry and then died.
SPEAKER_01It was when he Patch jumped in to start doing all the medical stuff, and Janice was standing there and was like, I guess go for it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, well, and I I really like that because it felt real in that it's just like something just started happening. Yeah. The first person who dived in to do it was the person who did it. It might have gone a little different if the person with like medical expertise did it, but like if I wasn't like shoving my fingers like in her throat. It felt like it felt like uh true behavior rather than like optimizing. I don't like the term metagaming because I feel like often that's like that that's just a term that people use with about playing the game.
SPEAKER_03It wasn't like we're like, we I make perception checks for suspicious figure running away.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, like quick, somebody go, but like because like in the world you would know who's best at medicine. Like it's not metagaming, it's just like being.
SPEAKER_01But like well, the person with if there's a medical emergency, the person who's the medical specialist calls it out and starts doing the scene safe. Like, there's a whole protocol for that. Yeah, so a medical profession will just do it.
SPEAKER_07I think I think it it feels very real that it was just like so sudden, and it was just like Patri's like, I'm right there, pop pop. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's how that's how he was doing it with his thumb, so that's why his the C PR didn't work. And Lucy was like, ha ha, and then shoot.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Uh but you guys, you guys met a good amount of the other competitors. Uh you met the triplets, you met Ryan De Janeiro, you met Hildenbig. Hildenberg was the one who's the German actress.
SPEAKER_03Is she a spy, you think? I think she's weird. She's the one who wanted to use the money to put on a one-person show or something about when she was in a w when she was with her placenta.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh, was it in a wig?

SPEAKER_07I drew little cartoons for all of them so I could keep them straight because it helps me see them and remember their voice, I feel like. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07Viranda Pastor. Um the that she's a a classic situation of I feel terrible playing her because she's so mean. No, I love her.

SPEAKER_05Well, just because you and it may just be me misreading it because you're playing her as like, you know, the oracle of the most vain god. And you're like, yes, I'm woke, but evilly, or something like that. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I by evilly, I think in that instance I just meant like you didn't mean to say I didn't mean a woman contest.

SPEAKER_01In Friday the 13th, though, it was Jason's mother, and in Drop Dead Gorgeous, uh, when you think it's Denise Richards the whole time, it was Kirsty Alley.
SPEAKER_03I do have Patch does have some material in his type five about some of his suspicions.

SPEAKER_07That's like I feel like classic DM thing where you'll like say you'll like plan to like put a little foreshadowing in something, and you'll be like, oh my god, they're gonna hear that and they're immediately gonna be like, I bet someone's I bet if she's allergic, then someone's gonna give it to her and kill her. And then like you're I was so afraid that you guys would be like, if she's allergic, I bet someone's gonna try to kill her by that allergy. You know, like which nobody's gonna actually like run in, take the berries off the things, be like, now that's not gonna happen. But I'm so scared every time.
SPEAKER_03I mean, based on our investigation, it seems like the berries came from you know, not even someone like with the whole berries. It was on the lips. Right.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, could have been a berry balm.

SPEAKER_04Someone stole the berries off the lip stain and made a little little berry mash and say that was like in our Grim Grimsburg vigilantes.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. This when when in the in the in me describing the city, I threw in the year 1810. Like Grimsburg was established in 1810 by this, and it was just like stupid city. In the exposition, and then in the game, I asked what year was Grimsburg founded, and Sarah immediately was like 1810. And I was like, Why did you remember that? That's huge. That's huge. I was like, why did you remember that little detail I threw in that I was certain everyone would just be glazed over and me being like, oh, he's talking about the city, he's setting the world.
SPEAKER_07That terrifies me because there's so much shit I say that I'm like, I hope they forget it because I don't know if I want to stand by that.
SPEAKER_04Well, because Shane was like, no offense, but you, you, Sarah, remembered that. Oh and I was like, that's so fair. So don't worry, Spencer. It's probably not gonna happen again.

And she was like, Well, if you're doing a fantasy game, you should make up a fake food. And I was like, You're so right. Did she say that?

SPEAKER_07Yeah. So that's that's I like I like doing this in a place that you have like built like lore for, and like then like anytime I'm trying to like build lore, I'm like, ooh, but I have to remember this. Like, that's fun. It is really collaborative and fun.
SPEAKER_05I mean, that's uh it was the same experience for me going back to Siren's Perch. Yeah, yeah. Because it was like, okay, I know the things I didn't I don't want to touch.

SPEAKER_05But like, where is there room for in the month or two that we've been away from Siren's Perch? Yeah, things could have happened or changed.

SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_03I'm just so in the moment that I don't create memory around it. I'm just living. So I think you can probably say whatever you want in the exposition, Spencer. Great, cool, cool, cool.
SPEAKER_05We also did we did record both, we recorded both those episodes back to back, so they kind of ran together a little bit for me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but yeah.
SPEAKER_03And in a different, you know, a couple months ago, we wouldn't probably would have made that just one long episode. Yeah. But it's good that it's not weird.
SPEAKER_07Thank God. Um, we're really trying.

SPEAKER_05We're trying to get you in, let's say, average 20-minute commute, 25-minute commute.

SPEAKER_07Yeah. Yeah. Um what else? So you guys then went through the rooms while you other two went to the rehearsal. We talked to the triplets all together. Yes.
SPEAKER_04I love these interludes when we're trying to like solve murders together because we're so like driven in a very specific like puzzle figuring it out way. Yeah. And it we always end up tripping over each other. Yeah. We go separately, we find out different things, and we come back together and then just trip over with the information we know.
SPEAKER_07Here's what I think. Here's what I think.
SPEAKER_04Well, I've got it figured out. It's like I've got it figured out, but then it's like we each have information that kind of either contradicts or helps the other person and we don't talk about it. It's so fun. It's so much fun.
SPEAKER_07I feel like with this one, part of the challenge is like there's so many suspects that you can't like I'm going through every room, like I'm like there's just not enough time. And I feel like you guys uh uh you guys have been making good use of your time. Like I feel like you guys have been really like economical with it.
SPEAKER_02Um yes.
SPEAKER_05Also I think this time is the first time that you've had uh us exit the room while you know uh while we have a split party. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04In in an interview, which is why we didn't know what was happening.
SPEAKER_05Right, yeah, which was very effective.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05As opposed to like in the past when we've done these that we've been all at the same table and it's kind of like Do I know do you know that?
SPEAKER_07Like I think we just kind of assume I think I it's something I'm like trying out, but it's got its upsides and downsides because it also like pacing has effects, and like it's most fun, I feel like when you're all at the table because you're all very funny, and like dah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was like, yes. Um but there was a fun moment.
SPEAKER_07That looked unaffensive when you just Sarah did like a mocking laughter that did not read correctly.
SPEAKER_01What Sarah just did, that could get you pregnant. Or I'm saying I was saying that that that did create a funny moment with Chloe and I at the end of hours because you did yours first. Yeah, and then Chloe and I found this like wrench that would potentially have like sabotage stage paint on it. We were like, someone could like hurt the stage, someone could do something to the stage to make it fall apart. And then Spencer was like, you hear a giant crash. We were like, Well, yes, we're too late.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and then we rant, we all got together, and like y'all had just found something out because you saw the lights. You were trying to get up there, and we were trying to tell you stuff. That was so frustrating. I was at the end of the day.
SPEAKER_07You were talking about how I wonder if we should maybe try to get up there and like talking about talking to everyone, being like, here's what just happened. And then after like five minutes had passed, you were like, Let's run after him.
SPEAKER_04No, that's not true. That's not true.
SPEAKER_05We tried to run after him immediately.
SPEAKER_04Rex, throw me up. Rex, throw me up.
SPEAKER_05I tried to get it even before that. I was like, I want to go up there.
