Shall we get into the talk back?
SPEAKER_10Let's get into the talk back.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, let's talk about it. Let's snuggle into something fresh.
SPEAKER_10Snuggle into something fresh. We're so good.
SPEAKER_08Snuggle into the conversation.
SPEAKER_10Spencer, you ready to snuggle into some conversation?
SPEAKER_05Uh yeah. If that's how we're gonna phrase it, I I will adjust.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, you are kind of you're the big spoon of the uh the the talk back. I was gonna say not a big spoon. He does love working. Well the talk back, yes.
SPEAKER_08Well, perhaps, but not you don't have big you don't have the biggest out of all of us spoon vibes.
SPEAKER_10No, yeah, you are little spoon when it's everything.
SPEAKER_08I think he's mid spoon. Middle spoon.
SPEAKER_10I'm a switch.
SPEAKER_05Middle spoon. How many spoons per so?
SPEAKER_08Five. One, two, three, four, five.
SPEAKER_05Oh.
SPEAKER_08If we were spoons lining up in a drawer, I'm in a different section.
SPEAKER_05Fully, I think we should include this in the episode. Let's all rank what spoon order we'd be.
SPEAKER_10I think I'm biggest spoon.
SPEAKER_05I think that's Shane.
SPEAKER_08And then I think it's I was thinking Shane too.
SPEAKER_10I would love to be spooned by Shane.
SPEAKER_08I think Shane spoon's Matt, Spoon Spencer. But this is when it gets weird.
SPEAKER_05I think I'm mid, I think I'm last spoon. I think I'm basically spoon. Little spoon? I think I'm little as spoon.
SPEAKER_10I think if we feel like we do it like M M B J and NBA. That's true. It could be age order.
SPEAKER_07Well, then I yeah, I feel like Spencer and I are like slightly different spoons. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You know? Yeah, we don't quite fit the spoon mold. Oh.
SPEAKER_07But we're cradled on top of y'all.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We're like also in the drawer. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Okay. I see it this way. Maybe it's this. I'm thinking of my spoon. Sarah's spooning Shane, who's spooning me. So Sarah's a bigger spoon.
SPEAKER_05I could see that. And then Matt spooning me, I could very much see.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, we do it.
SPEAKER_07Like every week.
SPEAKER_05And Chloe's watching again.
SPEAKER_07Chloe's a nice filming.
SPEAKER_05And Chloe likes it. And Chloe likes to watch. Well, we should get into the actual talk back.
SPEAKER_07Hi.
SPEAKER_05Welcome to the talk back.
SPEAKER_10Hey, welcome. Which spoon do you think I am? Like yourself.
SPEAKER_01How big of a spoon?
SPEAKER_10An ice cream scoop. That's true. Do you think I'm a soup spoon, or do you think I'm like, I really like a tiny spoon.
SPEAKER_05I think you're a soup spoon. I don't think you're an ice cream scoop, but I think you're a soup spoon.
SPEAKER_07I like a perfectly circular spoon. Like that's a soup.
SPEAKER_08Matt, you're a very small decorative silver spoon.
SPEAKER_05I was gonna say, I think that's what I was gonna try to claim because I collect those. You only bring out when you're having a very special treat.
SPEAKER_06You've collected Matt, so that's true. You know what? Shane's a wooden spoon. Oh, I love that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you're right. Shane is a wooden spoon.
SPEAKER_07A slaughtered spoon can catch the potato.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and well seasoned. Yeah, a well-seasoned wiggle spoon. A well-seasoned wiggling spoon. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I'll be I'll I'll be I'll be um uh one of those uh like serving spoons that have holes in them. A slaughtered spoon.
SPEAKER_02Is that what we just said?
SPEAKER_10You you you are I run from intimacy will be of service.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, intimacy things just kind of run through you.
SPEAKER_01Oh no. Because you ran through. Jesus.
SPEAKER_07Hey, if I have a lot of cereal bed in my way. At first I was thinking of like the liquid implication of that. I didn't think about anything else.
SPEAKER_05Welcome to the talk back. Liquid gushing out of you.
SPEAKER_08Not a lot of I didn't think about what that meant in the context of you.
SPEAKER_05We've had some talkbacks that have have started on the rails and quickly gone off.
SPEAKER_08We were talking about the sense of the last time.
SPEAKER_05We started off the rails, and that we struggled to even immediately get on the rails.
SPEAKER_08We're just you know pulling you off the rails with us. Let's walk for a little bit and you can jump back on your train in the next one. You got one of those tickets, it's cool as fuck.
SPEAKER_10Sorry, you don't want to hear our spoon conversation.
SPEAKER_08Oh, can I share a factoid that happened to me on my way here? Please. Uh, when I was on the train, almost at your stop, uh, there was a worker on the I and I was in the first car, so I could see through the front of the train, which is trippy because I don't, it's weird. But I saw a guy who was standing on on the actual track that the train was on, waving the train forward, like at him. Like, not even he wasn't standing to the side to let it go past him. He was like waving us forward to where he was, and he didn't stop. It was crazy. That's crazy. It brought up a whole new trolley problem. Do you hit the person if they're waving you on? If they want it. Yeah. If they really want it. Or do you derail yourself to hit a whole bunch of other people who don't want it?
SPEAKER_05I think you personally the easiest trolley problem in history. You hit the guy who wants it.
SPEAKER_07But then you're giving it a sound who was gonna cure cancer.
SPEAKER_05Oh, and he didn't want to because he's a bad guy. He's a bad guy.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna lose so much money on this. He was like, I can't monetize this. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_08Kill me before I sell help people.
SPEAKER_10Oh, they'll learn how to monetize it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Wow.
SPEAKER_08Anyway, I thought that was interesting. That's very interesting.
SPEAKER_05Thank you for painting such a vivid picture with your words. So did you get it with them?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_08I really tried to get the conductor too, but they stopped.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, bullshit. Cowards. And honestly, that's gonna be our talk back. Thank you guys so much for so much for listening. That's everything that happened.
SPEAKER_08That was my favorite part of the episode.
SPEAKER_05In the last episode, uh uh uh you guys prepared for the uh start of the Resplendence Royale, uh, and then began the Resplendence Royale. So we'll start uh at the start um with the start.
SPEAKER_10All right, good place to start a good place to start.
SPEAKER_05Doesn't that sound good? Doesn't that sound good? You remember where that we were gonna start? Yeah, I do. You guys split into your little groups. Um Patch and Lucy went to talk to Veranda, and Rex went to talk to Phil, Rex and Janice.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, yeah, Janice came too. I was there.
SPEAKER_08That happened. I felt like I it wasn't unproductive, but it felt unproductive.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_08It felt like running through sand, and I was like, but you were like, no, we did well, and I was like, oh, okay.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah, there's there's I I was saying before you came in, like, this has been such a like listening back to the past episodes, there's so many threads in this arc that I feel like we've missed, like Spencer says, or like Yemma tells us in the first episode of this arc, like there's you know, this isn't the first time that Viranda has been accused of showing favoritism in the um competition. You know, we never ask about that, you know, um, all that stuff. But yeah, I I really like Viranda and just talking to her.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I like Lucy brutally frame moging Maria. Oh, that was yeah, that was worth it.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, that's true. It is it yeah, it's fun when Lucy flexes her beauty muscles.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, when she frame mogs. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And I like Patch interacting with I don't know any of those.
SPEAKER_01When she made your illusions, yes.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I don't know. I like Patch interacting with like high powered like women. Yes. I think is always funny.
SPEAKER_08And I also love our like uh what like us in here, us in the office, when we're like both talking to someone and it's like you're doing investigating because you're so good at that, and I'm like distracting, where it's like we switch on and off between those two things.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you guys, you guys are a good little team. Um, and you saw uh Tim and Tusi. Uh what do you say to see? Tim and Tussie. Tussi is so funny, especially because every time you say Tusi, I think of Tootie, and then I think of the character in this who's very much modeled off of Stanley Tucci and the Devil Wears Prada. Uh, like full of physically in my head.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um and that's Hugo. Right. And so every time I hear Tusi, I go, what? What why are we talking about Hugo? But it's like that's completely unrelated. Yep.
SPEAKER_08I think when I hear Tussi and I think of Tulsa. And then I'm and I'm now in Oklahoma.
SPEAKER_01I feel like Which you guys are registered component like registered competitors in the competition that she's running. So what why fake names? Why not fake names?
SPEAKER_07No, I told her my real name.
SPEAKER_08When I think of Tussie, I also think uh I think that's oh I think that's Lucy going, oh, a chance to lie, I'm gonna do it. Like I think she gets a little excited about doing the lies.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, Patch has been ha Patch has been um experimenting with his identity and interlude of just like, you know, lying, telling people he's the oracle of a morgana. Yeah. Boots, boots, the boots. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um love the boots, by the way. Love the boots.
SPEAKER_07They're still the boots. I feel like they the plastic got like burnt into the floor next to the fireball. So they're still there. Um, that's right.
SPEAKER_08You were blown off your socks.
SPEAKER_05You're blown off your socks. You you you ran into a mob of people with a bomb and then teleported away from the bomb.
SPEAKER_07I was trying to to get the bomb out of there.
SPEAKER_05Very noble.
SPEAKER_07And to be fair to be fair to Patch, Patch's knees already bend backwards than normal. So he was like, you know, not in a great situation.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, no, that makes sense. Um, but before we get to that, at the end of the episode, we have uh Janice and Rex. They had their conversation with Phil Trant.
SPEAKER_08That was great. That was a great combo.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, that was fun. I liked the bit where we were talking about pool and pool and anytime I think there's like a Janice, a Rex uh like matchup, or like, you know, we just go off and do our thing. It's fun to just improvise with you.
SPEAKER_01It's always like a little and it's and it's a similar game that's easy to find where it's just like Rex doesn't understand something and Janice is flustered. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_08And I love the mental image of the two of you in the in a hot tub with uh what's his face?
SPEAKER_10Stick thin in my mind.
SPEAKER_07He's live. Yeah, he's live.
SPEAKER_05I guess, yeah. I just was eating because of stick.
SPEAKER_10Rex has always been pictured as thick.
SPEAKER_06You've heard of a twonk this is a picture you guys.
SPEAKER_10Yeah.
SPEAKER_06You've heard of a twonk, this is a trunk.
SPEAKER_10Yes.
SPEAKER_06You've heard of a twonk, this is a trunk. Nice, yes, nice, yes.
SPEAKER_10Um, but but yeah, no, I I just re-listened to this conversation, so it's kind of fresh in my head. Um but I thought it was so fun. The the pool stuff, and then getting into the conversation with him and trying to like it's so funny when we're doing one of these mysteries because you're like, it very much feels like you're you're playing a video game and you're like trying to deduce you're trying to to to get like choose the right option. You're like, Ask the right questions is really hard. Yeah, and then like when you roll poorly on a perception, like there was the part where um I think we were talking about his his war wound or something. Oh yeah, and we didn't roll perception, and then I was like, I'm just gonna brute force it. And then like you tackled him, tries to tackle him. I rolled a natural one, which is oiled in lies, yeah, yeah, which is just so funny. And um the the weirdest thing was the the hexath yeah showing up. Yeah, that was crazy.
SPEAKER_07It's so unsettling. I had I thought it was a dream, real actual.
SPEAKER_05He looks like fucking diff. Like he looks way worse than we like last time you saw him, he was kind of looked like a guy. Now he looks like hell. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Because people are sucking his life force.
SPEAKER_10You also say in the recording, and I don't know, like I think this is contributed to our disbelief of him being there. Was you're like, for a second, you see this figure.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. And it was like, okay, so is he gone?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I I was I was trying to do the thing where it's like you see someone and you're like, I know that person. Wait, what?
SPEAKER_01Like, like and then a bus drives by and they're gone.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. I mean, well, not even necessarily they're gone, just like that moment where like across the room you see someone that like is so antithetical to where you are. Yes, it's just like that can't be exactly what I'm doing. Oh, you know.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that's how I pictured it is like it's a normal, like, y'all are outside, like everyone's just no like in their normal togas or whatever, and then like the joker's there.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01I well, I was like, Do I do I attack this guy? He technically hasn't done anything wrong. Yeah, uh, I did try to attack him. You did, yeah. But that was that was like a little bit of a mous, uh yeah.
SPEAKER_08Well, because it felt like that uh also where just by describing it as a figure, it could be like worst case scenario. Like at one point, I was like, Oh, are we seeing Mogus now? Which I know who's a is an ox or whatever, but um Minotaur, yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, man ox.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, and ox is so specific. Ox is awesome.
SPEAKER_10He's an ox, he's one of oxen.
SPEAKER_08I know he's not smart, he's an oxymoron. I get it. Yeah, but um uh sorry, I got distracted by my own wordplay.
SPEAKER_05Um dap yourself up real quick. Now pass it on to Matt. Thank you.
SPEAKER_07Listen, doing drugs is not funny.
SPEAKER_08Um uh but yeah, so no, so to me it was like, oh, this could be so bad, this could be mocus, and then it was like not any, and then like Hegazeth was kind of like his um representative. Yeah, so it's a guy. I thought it had good um cinematic scariness to it. Oh, okay. Never mind.
SPEAKER_05It's it's one of those things where it's like every time you guys have interacted with him, he hasn't so much crossed you in a way that's like, yeah, okay, we've got to kill this guy.
SPEAKER_07It's just been weird.
SPEAKER_05It's just been like, oh, we're definitely gonna have to one day kill this. He's a string puller.
SPEAKER_01He's a string puller.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, and we don't know what strings he's connected to yet. So it's just like scary strings.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, the the string that we found out is that it seemed like he was trying to encourage Rex to sunder the sword. Yeah, right. And then that brings up the question of okay. There's multiple questions, but like one is Spencer is very clear, it just says sunder, which means like you know, break apart or whatever. And we just assumed it was the blade because of him saying, I sundered that blade, or whatever. This blade.
SPEAKER_08Wait, it just says sunder?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's just one word. The the ask is just sunder.
SPEAKER_08We just break apart.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. What if Rex sunders?
SPEAKER_08What if we all run in four different directions at the same time?
SPEAKER_10I think that would be a sunder. Yeah. I think Rex needs to leave the group. I think it's to sunder and retire.
SPEAKER_07According to the Merriam-Webster dictionaries, uh sunder means to break apart or in two or separate. We've already done that. Or separate by or as, if by violence or by intervening time or space. I don't know what that means.
SPEAKER_01But see, the concerning thing is Rex has a fissure, which is usually He's sundering.
SPEAKER_07Oh, he's gotta break apart. Maybe he has to sunder. Okay, well, break try that. Oh, maybe once your like uh your bark breaks off, that'll be okay.
SPEAKER_10Lucy, grab one side, Janice, grab the other. Okay. Rex gets drawing quarter.
SPEAKER_07Lucy's just pulling, and nobody's pulling them on the other side. Oh, synonym, divorce.
SPEAKER_01I think I gotta break it up.
SPEAKER_07Can the divorce? Can the dead divorce?
SPEAKER_01I don't know if that's gonna help.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, divorce officially you're divorce your mom and your dad. Yeah, divide your assets, beheaded, survived.
SPEAKER_05Beheaded, survived. Yeah, be like, do like a six thing. Yeah, do six. Do six, do six, do six right now. Do your best impression of six right now.
SPEAKER_10Okay, I have seen this musical. Yeah. Um he is a I am a wife who died. I was one of the six, and I'm now dead. And I am, and then the last one, Anne Bolyn. But my no one's the first one. She's second. She's the one.
SPEAKER_08She's number two.
SPEAKER_05I love I like that, frankly, as much as six. That's great. Whoa, I really love it.
SPEAKER_10It really left a big impression on me. I remember all the words.
SPEAKER_07I heard it's fun to go to.
SPEAKER_01Like if you're gonna see it in concert, like it's a great time. It's so fun to go to in concert, but also I listened to, I was listening to it this morning.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I I think I don't have a problem with it, like as a concert, as like a fun experience. I think it it's it's my old man shaking a stick at a tree about uh musicals that are so in the pop vein.
SPEAKER_08I I I get a little owl as opposed to the Christian rockness of musicals.
SPEAKER_05I I really prefer Christian rock. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_05It's a body.
SPEAKER_10Well, you know, I'm a big God spell guy, so that makes sense. Yeah. We get along so well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Pretty much. But yeah, so Sunder. Um we don't know what that really means, but I think we can kind of take Sundering the Sword off the table for now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Um Rex's back hopefully could be maybe purified in the lakes of Minatonka by this uh Star that gets pooped out. Star that gets pooped out. I was gonna say, uh, what were the berries called?
SPEAKER_05Uh Pibbleberries. Pibbleberries.
SPEAKER_10My Pibbleberry elixir.
SPEAKER_05Well, there is another crush Pibbleberry into the star.
SPEAKER_01There is another issue with the assignment, though, because remember when the assignment was like get revenge, and Rex refused to do it, and Ruby freaked out.
SPEAKER_08We're not sure if it's good direction or bad direction.
SPEAKER_01Like, we don't know if Rupee's been compromised.
SPEAKER_10And then I I made a vow to Ruby to find out who his maker was. Oh, he doesn't care.
SPEAKER_07What happened when Ruby was freaking out? Like, what did he do some depth in this? What did he do too?
SPEAKER_01So, like his page started like tearing across the thing and it said you have failed, and like it got a big thing.
SPEAKER_07Did it have a scary motivation?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, a bunch of black smokes are coming, and then Ruby had no memory of that happening whenever we asked like it reset its cache. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Maybe if I tell Ruby I'm not gonna do his task, maybe that'll happen again.
SPEAKER_01Interesting. Interesting.
SPEAKER_10I'm not gonna do it.
SPEAKER_08Maybe you should build something and then say this is for that.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. Build something.
SPEAKER_08And then I think Spencer will probably be like, completed.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. Build something, and that is sunder.
SPEAKER_08That is the opposite of sunder.
SPEAKER_10Yeah. Oh, make another Mogasword.
SPEAKER_05And then and then Ruby will go this whole time. What I've been wanting you to do is the opposite. Right. Here's boost to level 20, you get boost to level 20, you graduate from college. Also, you've defeated Mogus forever.
SPEAKER_08Is that right? No, my boy.
SPEAKER_05Well, that's that's what's gonna happen if you do the opposite of what Ruby asks. Um and also I give you 20 bucks.
SPEAKER_08Oh, is that what happens when we win the game?
SPEAKER_06I would do it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's if you if you beat this game, I have to give you all 20 bucks.
SPEAKER_06Each of us?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's why that's why Silas went so fucking hard at you guys in the labyrinth. That's 80 bucks. I was doing pretty bad financially. I was like, I need to fix this before it becomes a problem.
SPEAKER_08Guys, we need to play faster because by the time we get to level 20 and win the game, 20 bucks is gonna be like nothing.
SPEAKER_05It's gonna make mission goes. You're right, you're right. Um, yeah, no, I mean, and there's there's the question with Hextus where it's like he seemed to like it when you fought um Aegis, the the horde general.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he really liked that.
SPEAKER_05Like he seemed to be like low lurk low kirk genuinely cool with you. We've been talking about low kirk genuinely. Is that a word? Yeah, it's um low-key Charlie Kirk. Um genuinely. There's something else in there, isn't there?
SPEAKER_07Spencer's Gen Z. I don't know about this. Spencer's Gen Z, you're younging, you're out younging.
SPEAKER_05Sorry, not to not to young mog you.
SPEAKER_07You're young mogging me.
SPEAKER_01You're young moging me so much.
SPEAKER_05I don't know anything about low kirk annuinely other than it's fun to say.
SPEAKER_01That's fair.
SPEAKER_05Um but yeah, so uh whether he's trying to get you to destroy the sword or like he's got some other purpose, it's like he doesn't want you to destroy the sword, but he wants you to like find the place. Who knows?
SPEAKER_07Who knows? Who knows? Who freaking knows?
SPEAKER_01But he's a bad guy, is what I know.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, we can tell he's a bad guy because he's ugly.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Well, and he talks like this.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Ugh. Well now what if he's what what if there's like a huge turn he's not a bad guy? And I'm gonna say, I was watching, uh, I was watching uh the new series by uh the Full Metal Alchemist author. Um, and there's a character that she wrote to be like evil, and you assume they're a bad guy. In this episode, they were like, oh no, he's not bad. And they were like, why is his like literally they were like, why is his smile so creepy? They're like, Yeah, that's not doing him any favors. Yeah, and I was like, is this happening? Is this like just the most shadiest guy that Spencer is piling on? And then in the end, he's like, Oh no, yeah, I've been trying to destroy Mogus the whole time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm woke.
SPEAKER_07I hope Silas comes back as like Spike from Buffy, like he just can't hurt us anymore. So he's just hanging around. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08That's actually like the idea of Hegeth, what Hexus? Hexus. Hexus. Hexus and Silas, like having fighting over who like bothers us the most. Yeah. You know, like they're they both want to have the control over us, and we're like, whatever, and then they get mad at each other. That's very cute.
SPEAKER_05They're both competing for Caladeus' top dog spot as like number one irritator.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, well, well, Silas needs to step his game up because he's been doing shit. Am I in the remote? He's in Miami. No, that's true. He's in Miami with Caladeus' dad.
SPEAKER_01No, he's in Tampa.
SPEAKER_10Um is Hexus' Hexus? Hexus. Hexus his first name. Did we establish that it was Pete?
SPEAKER_05You are. It's something else, but I kept saying I kept saying Pete Hexon. I don't think he has a first name. I think it's always just been Hexus. And I think you guys just kept saying Pete Hexon. Like to the point where now you guys don't say Hexus. You say Pete Hex.
SPEAKER_08Like you You made him a bad guy, and his name sounds almost identical. Yeah. Sounds fraternally twinned to fraternally twinned.
SPEAKER_05Wow. Yeah. Either what called Pete is instead of Pete.
SPEAKER_10For Pete as in P-E-T-E, the stuff that grows in bogs. P-E-A-T.
SPEAKER_02Fuck.
SPEAKER_10Pete's like the coffee. Let me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Here I can I can like search for the like the coffee.
SPEAKER_10He's like the coffee.
SPEAKER_06Like the coffee. The coffee.
SPEAKER_01Pete's coffee.
SPEAKER_08Um Hexeth. Hextus.
SPEAKER_06Hexitus.
SPEAKER_08And then after after after uh after PH, was that straight into um outfit time?
SPEAKER_07I think so. I just think that's a good one.
SPEAKER_08You guys rehearsed for a little bit.
SPEAKER_07And then we had that role so that I could leave earlier. Oh, yeah, yeah, that's right.
SPEAKER_10I talked to Helmet during that.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you talked to Helmet? Uh Hilden. Well. And you guys also talked to Peppy.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Um let me say my experience of going into the back room by myself. When Spencer pulled out that little paper doll patch, I screamed. And I had such a great time back there. Alone in a nice cool room cutting up my little crafts. And it really paid off. Thank you. Because you won. Yeah, you won.
SPEAKER_05It did feel kind of bad that the person who got a head start won.
SPEAKER_07Sorry, priorities.
SPEAKER_08No, I just I think it I think it would have felt worse if they didn't get it, if they didn't win afterwards, because it's like then you blew actual finding time on a head start that then didn't actually pay off.
SPEAKER_07I mean, to be real, the I mean, I know Spencer brought it up, like, oh, you can go look at other things, but before he said that, the thought of using that time for investigating did not cross my mind.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Fascinating. This is yeah, I feel like this is this was a heavy uh Rex speaking to NPCs episode. Because I used the time to talk to Hilden. Yeah. Of course, and we all remember her name. Hildenberg. Hildenberg. Rex.
SPEAKER_08She talks to two people from Setessa. And he's like, this is talk to everyone. I did. You guys seen the movie Women Talking?
SPEAKER_05This is like Rex talking.
SPEAKER_01Well, Rex has between Rex and Janice, Rex has the better charisma, so Janice has to just the thorn in Janice's side. I know.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. Janny. Oh, Janice.
SPEAKER_07Janice let me win the competition. Yeah, that was fun. And gave me that plus two. You could have had.
SPEAKER_01It's my dump stat. It's more fun to have it be my dump stat.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_05That's fair. Yeah. You talk to Hilden and Peppy, um, both of whom have these weird little connections to Mogus.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. And had little like flap like moments, lapses of some kind, or no? No, no, no. Fireway looks in their eyes.
SPEAKER_10There's a weird alcohol thing going on. Like a theme. What? Of people getting drunk?
SPEAKER_07Oh yeah. Is there? Hilden was like, I don't I haven't driven drunk, but I'm have driven what some people might think are drunk.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah. Yeah. She was just like, she she's she's functional.
SPEAKER_08I also think that that that this happens during our theatrical interludes is these characters that we meet drink a lot. Like the like in the last one, the twins.
SPEAKER_05Well, they're theater people, I mean.
SPEAKER_08That's true. I think also you're like the the Agatha Christie murder mystery comes out where it's like everyone's drunk.
SPEAKER_05If everyone's like swirling a glass of wine and like, well, I could have killed him. I was in the conservatory.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, I think there's a little bit of that that comes in.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, definitely, definitely. Um, but hey, you know, Phil was sober. Um, and I that was a detail that is now there.
SPEAKER_08Um we know why, but we will This could be one of those things where we really hold on to something and Spencer's like, I didn't mean for that to be a thing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I guess maybe we don't.
SPEAKER_10Well, he's a he's a I thought that there was some sort of uh uh uh divine justice happening to people who were who were drunkards for like a while.
SPEAKER_01Really?
SPEAKER_10Yeah, I thought that was it.
SPEAKER_08It was like a drunk driving thing because that's that's what I've put in. Alright, temperance.
SPEAKER_01Well, that was that was that was um Evelyn's Call Me Bones.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That was Evelyn's thing.
SPEAKER_10And Or Sealy Booth.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's funny. I mean, well, there is this like um blackout versus possessed kind of thing that we're trying to figure out, and it's like accident versus intentional versus like who's under whose control. So like I do think like maybe if it's not intentional, but the alcohol of this concept of like not being fully in control does mesh with what we think is going on of people being taken over and made to do bidding.
SPEAKER_05That was on purpose, and I I was like, I and this is sort of the thematic thing I'm going for. It's really cool. Like, and that was on purpose and not at all, yeah, not at all, um, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Not at all me putting this together right now.
SPEAKER_10Not at all, not at all Shane putting it together for me is sort of ultimately it's about you know living above the influence.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, wow.
SPEAKER_07I mean art art writes itself sometimes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and that is true and on purpose. Um so And that's AI, baby. Sorry, just something came over me. I hear the word AI.
SPEAKER_07And you go, I yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_05I just read it phonetically. Um maybe that is how we defeat it. Is if everyone someone starts talking to you, every time someone starts talking to you about AI, you just go, yeah, I don't really use IE.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_10I only use I. Oh my god. Isolate that sound computer computer.
SPEAKER_07Play loud.
SPEAKER_01Scrub this, Chloe. Scrub this from the record.
SPEAKER_04So then you guys made your little costumes. How'd you like your costume minigame? So fun.
SPEAKER_07Fun. It was fun to yell at each other over the scissors in the glue.
SPEAKER_01I was so grumpy about not having scissors.
SPEAKER_07You were.
SPEAKER_01I was then I was like, how in this magical world do we not have enough scissors? I was in my head, I was sure there's other scissors, right? I grabbed other scissors. I was like, because my in my mind, I was like, oh, like Spencer doesn't have four pairs of scissors lying around, so I'll just grab two others that I have.
SPEAKER_05Do you want to know the truth?
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_05I bought four pairs of scissors, and I thought a fun element of this encounter will be limited time. They'll have to balance their resources with each other. Um, but then people didn't so much do that until like five minutes in.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. I thought that was fun though, because then it it even just the like was fun. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah. I felt bad every time Shane didn't have the scissors. I was like, fuck.
SPEAKER_01I was like, ha ha. Spencer um unknowingly became a reality TV star producer of just like I'm gonna fuck with these people. I'm gonna make these people hate each other.
SPEAKER_05Chiron came in and I'm gonna take these scissors.
SPEAKER_10That's making a reservation for fewer people than you know are going to the dinner. Yeah, yeah. Exactly. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_08Ladies, you can all come into the restaurant.
SPEAKER_05That was good. That was good. That was really good. And you're staying out here, Chiron. Ladies, ladies. Nice. Everyone? Ladies, ladies, ladies, please stop flying.
SPEAKER_03Ladies, ladies. Uh we've got to go.
SPEAKER_07I have a big horse cock.
SPEAKER_10Ladies, stop looking at my horse cock.
SPEAKER_08Ladies, start looking at my neighbor's horse cock.
SPEAKER_10We're gonna have a minute to say.
SPEAKER_05Isn't it impressive and modeled of fur?
SPEAKER_07Ew. Oh. I don't like the word modeled in that area.
SPEAKER_03Oh, and I pushed it too phone. Oh, we're all looking at our neighbor's horse cock. I start calling out specifics about it. All of a sudden I'm bad guy. I'm Pete Heggseth. No, I refuse to accept this.
SPEAKER_07Pete Hegseth.
SPEAKER_03What? Pete Hexeth.
SPEAKER_08I want to refer to him as Pete Hegseth, and then you can correct me if you'd like.
SPEAKER_05How do you say his name in real life? Pete Heggseth. Who is Peggy?
SPEAKER_08Okay. Hegseth.
SPEAKER_01He's a Secretary of Defense. Have you not noticed? Well, he used to be the Secretary of Defense before we changed the name. Exactly.
SPEAKER_08I don't know. Something about his name in the world. Before America became good again. He used to be a news anchor. Really? He was a Fox pundit. Oh, that sounds right. He was a TV personality on Fox.
SPEAKER_01Probably a whatever happened to that guy who got cured in a day. I know.
SPEAKER_07Is he busy?
SPEAKER_01Colin Joest does a good impression.
SPEAKER_07He's had three spouses in the past 20 years.
SPEAKER_05Three spouses in 20 years?
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_01If Colin Joost were a different person, he would like I feel like Pete Hexeth and Colin Joest could be identical twins. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Just like and they're both willing to look the other way for a lot of stuff.
SPEAKER_07Just the name Pete Hexeth, I thought he was some like washed up like 80s rock man.
SPEAKER_10He's the vibe of that.
SPEAKER_08He's a washed up, like elder millennial, young Jet Xer. Like he should be in a steely dan cover. I have no idea how he shouldn't be doing it. But he's he can't be that old.
SPEAKER_1046. Somehow seems way older than that. It doesn't seem like the cocaine.
SPEAKER_01It must be the cocaine. Yeah. The cocaine. It's the cocaine. It's the cocaine.
SPEAKER_09My cocaine. My cocaine. My cocaine.
SPEAKER_07My cocaine.
SPEAKER_09Why do we fall down, Mr. Wayne? So we could get to a bump of cocaine.
SPEAKER_08Go ahead.
SPEAKER_05Oh, uh, so then we uh uh uh got into the competition proper. You guys made it through the first round of eliminations. Yes, the comp prop. The comp prop uh and the talent portion began.
SPEAKER_01What? Um I have to know because our roles were secret um for our introductions. Oh yes.
SPEAKER_05And they are going to remain secret because they're cumulative. Um they're cumulative. So uh your final performance is going to be affected by your role from every round.
SPEAKER_00What did Pepi roll?
SPEAKER_05Um Peppy, uh what happened to Peppy is I accidentally said all three of the names Sarah gave, and I only had slots for so Peppy was gonna stay in it, um, and then I accidentally said Betty, Betty Batrulli.
SPEAKER_07Um, did we get points for our costume or outfit?
SPEAKER_05This was this was the outfit. Like you guys got uh the out-of-character like competition you did between each other for the outfit. Um, and then this was the the judging of the outfits.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_05And like the formal portion, just introducing yourself.
SPEAKER_10Crazy that patch got 10th.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the patch got a boost technically because of the performance.
SPEAKER_10That's a really bad, uh it's a really rotten tomato, but the audience score is really bad.
SPEAKER_07You know, the people love me.
SPEAKER_05I I think the Bayonetta outfit is so fun.
SPEAKER_08Knife and knife and I think the judges scored it lower because they knew it was a crowd favorite and they wanted to like keep the the average.
SPEAKER_05I think it was a little too gaudy for the judges.
SPEAKER_07It was probably too sexy, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I think Leonexia Hilltop was jealous.
SPEAKER_07I mean, you could see like the top of Patch's happy trail.
SPEAKER_08Well, I mean, his goat Isn't all of Patch's belly a uh Yeah, like well the way Spencer was the mottled fur at the top of Patch's happy trail.
SPEAKER_07The way Spencer drew Patch's naked little dog was that the fur is how I picture it. It was like it literally looks like he's wearing like he's wearing fur pants.
SPEAKER_08Oh my god. Well, I mean, you did make them 3D, so there's a little bit of a.
SPEAKER_05I modeled it. So you it's like play. I spent such detailed time on the cock.
SPEAKER_07It's like instead of seeing the the band of his like Calvin Kleins, you see the band of his fur.
SPEAKER_10Well, Sarah, you did address it.
SPEAKER_07Sarah, you went to the lion man who was cooking in the kitchen.
SPEAKER_10Also, Sarah did add some crazy bazonkas.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Sarah was like, let's get one thing clear. Huge old bits right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And that was cool.
SPEAKER_08It was a little it was like it's like in um an outlander, you know, when she has those like really tight chorusets that just like really push up her boobs. Sure. Like sure, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay, well Yeah, I don't think they go, and then they go, then they go, Mel Gibson, are we going to storm the castle?
SPEAKER_10Different different Highlander versus Outlander. Outlander is a time travel smud. Oh. And Shana's ears perk up.
SPEAKER_01I was confused about both. I was thinking of the other Mel Gibson movie.
SPEAKER_07Passion of the I think of thinking of that.
SPEAKER_01Are you thinking of um Braveheart? Yes. I was also thinking Braveheart.
SPEAKER_07Are you thinking of signs?
SPEAKER_05Yes.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_05Are you thinking of the Passion of the Christ?
SPEAKER_01No. Was he Scottish in that?
SPEAKER_05Yes. Oh, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Give me your poor, you're tired, hunger, hunger masters.
SPEAKER_08Father, forgive them for they don't know what they did. No, no, what they did.
SPEAKER_10Scottish Jesus is you betrayed me with the kids, did it?
SPEAKER_08Peter, put down your swords.
SPEAKER_03Matt and Bird!
SPEAKER_01Let's let's just go. Scottish Jesus is coming. I'm ready to go to a Scottish math for a minute. Let's just go watch it.
SPEAKER_07I made the bunch of fucking fish and love! Is that one in like Italian?
SPEAKER_05I can't do a Scottish accent.
SPEAKER_08Which is broken up for you.
SPEAKER_03But nah, it's just my body.
SPEAKER_08Do this in remembrance of meh.
SPEAKER_03Really good. Move the rock at the front of me cave. I'm the son of God, he says on scratching his ass.
SPEAKER_01Jesus. Well, honestly. Jesus. I was actually gonna say that I was like, it's going a little bit tricked, but it's better, so that's fine.
SPEAKER_08Dunkit! It's done that time to ride into the city!
SPEAKER_03Dunkin'! Open up the mouth of an ass!
SPEAKER_08I've got my palms.
SPEAKER_05And then and then and then fucking the the Pharisees are like, he has to die. He's gonna die. He has to die.
SPEAKER_01We can't live this any longer. It's getting ridiculous.
SPEAKER_08Lord Farquah is like, kill him!
SPEAKER_03I'm Pontius Pilot!
SPEAKER_08Um great number two, my lord. Um so yeah, which one should I kill? Number two. Number two, is that a two? Number one, my lord. Number two, my lord. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um so then Mirror on the wall. Oh Jesus. Sorry, just didn't know. Which one should I kill?
SPEAKER_08Just distrac.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_08It's not you know how people like cast the Muppets in classic tales of literature? Instead, it's we're gonna cast Shrek.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, in the Bible. That'd be great.
SPEAKER_04Shrek of the Bible.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. That's good.
SPEAKER_07Kind of a kind of a um kind of a a job. Oh yeah. You know fuck!
SPEAKER_08Everyone on the Arpion.
SPEAKER_01And it's funny because Xart!
SPEAKER_08Set my people free.
SPEAKER_01I actually did have Shrek on the brain when we were recording too, because when Rex was giving his like purifying his body so he doesn't become a tree, I was like, what if we pull a Shrek?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And um Shrek go or Shrek. Rex goes full tree instead of uh purified from the tree, because that's his that's true, love's true form.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you do that, and then he's just like a full ass tree, cannot move.
SPEAKER_07Oh my gosh, better as a tree. Donkey and dragon couldn't go on the ark, they would have to get their own people of partners of their own species.
SPEAKER_03Or they're devastating.
SPEAKER_10Or they kill every other one of their own species.
SPEAKER_08The dragons can just fly over the water, though.
SPEAKER_05No, but the rain is enough to beat them down on the wings. It's 40 days and 40 nights. If the dragon can fly for 40 days and 40 nights without landing, sure, but I don't know about that.
SPEAKER_08I think maybe one sacrifices themselves, they use that one as a boat.
SPEAKER_05What's the point? What's the point? Like, what are they gonna do? Uh Noah? No, Noah punish.
SPEAKER_08Uh was it Abraham? Wait, hold on. Give the names.
SPEAKER_01Give the names again because this is not the first time we talked about Noah's sons.
SPEAKER_08Abraham was Abraham Isaac. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07No, his name is Geppetto.
SPEAKER_05Um, but that's Pinocchio. Noah's sons, and I only know this, I'm not religious. I know this from Danny Kay's musical two by two. You don't have to defend yourself. I I I do. I don't want to be religious. Um, but it's okay if you are. Um what are the names? Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
SPEAKER_01Shem Ham and Japheth.
SPEAKER_08Yes, and there's a there's a book uh about um one, this is too much in the weeds.
SPEAKER_01The book of Shem.
SPEAKER_08But anyway, no, there uh it's uh there's a book about um Japheth? Ham. Uh his his uh like girlfriend that he sneaks onto the ark and um she hides in the ark.
SPEAKER_10Oh, is it a romantic? Is it smut? Yeah, a little bit of a smut. Is her name Green Eggs? Low-hanging fruit.
SPEAKER_07That was a real woman who lived.
SPEAKER_01That was a real woman who lived in the real Bible. Who lived in the real Bible and survived a real flying?
SPEAKER_07But then she had to wave goodbye to the last unicorn.
SPEAKER_05I had like, I as I'm sure many uh others did, like uh uh annoying high school atheist phase where I was like sharing on Facebook. Um like uh uh I did, but it was in middle school and and then it's well so my my when I say high school it was like ninth grade, like it was like start of ninth grade, where I was like sharing posts on Facebook every day to all of my like Christian friends whose religion I do very much respect. I you know, not for me, but I respect it. We don't have to add that. Um but like I was sharing like a lot of like then how come no one ever found the ark? If it was so big, then how come no one found it archaeologically? Checkmate to you creation, like a lot of like uh like Christopher Hitchens bullshit.
SPEAKER_07Oh, I was reading Christopher Hitchens in the lunchroom of Ronald Reagan middle school.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, you know, but if it was wood, then it would have deteriorated. No, I don't know.
SPEAKER_07But then teachers would be like, you can't read that, and I'd be like, You can't tell me what I can't read. Yeah. There you go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10The arc was so big it became Cuba.
SPEAKER_05That's true, because cubat by cubits.
SPEAKER_06Two by two, cubic Jamaica, J Maker.
SPEAKER_04Jake founded Jamaica.
SPEAKER_06Which actually I mean. Ham Guam.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Shem.
SPEAKER_06Shem.
SPEAKER_01The island of Shem. Yeah, we all know that one.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. Shemrock, Ireland.
SPEAKER_10Shem became Ireland.
SPEAKER_05And Shemp became a member of the Three Stooges after Mo died.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. When Mo was no Mo. Moe died.
SPEAKER_05Moe Mo died, and Sham Powered took over. Mo died, Mo problem.
SPEAKER_07Sham Power, Sham Wow.
SPEAKER_06And Sham Wow Vince, Small Bitty Big Town.
SPEAKER_05So the episode ended with um uh talent portion and then explosion.
SPEAKER_07It didn't end with the talent portion. We didn't do our talent portion yet.
SPEAKER_01We didn't do your talent portion yet. Yeah. Um but Evelyn did.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah, the beginning of the talent portion.
SPEAKER_01And so did Ryan go too and not die.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, pretty much everyone except for you guys has gone. Okay. Um but yeah, so uh Patch, you narrowly spotted the uh uh explosive device attached to Evelyn's foot. I did. You yanked it off of her foot and uh and stopped her from exploding.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, feel good about that. Glad that happened.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Um yeah, Patch has been making a lot of big actions at this um kitchen dig. So I'm glad I'm glad I'm glad he was able to save a life.
SPEAKER_10Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I think that'll be good for him. The self-esteem. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Where did he go wrong? You know? He lost a friend. So we're alone in this bitter descent.
SPEAKER_05Patrick Stump.
SPEAKER_07No, it's the fray. It's the fray. It's the Grey's Anatomy song.
SPEAKER_05Oh, okay. I never I medical dramas scare me because I don't like it when people die.
SPEAKER_00You should check out the pit.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, people love the pit. You can't with a pit. What about Scrubs? No Scrubs?
SPEAKER_05Uh Scrubs. Don't want no scrubs. Scrubs, I liked Scrubs when I watched it when I was like 14 because I was like, oh yeah, Zach Braff isn't annoying. JD is 14, so I think I tried watching an episode recently, and I was just like, I, Zach Braff, I want to kill with a gun.
SPEAKER_08That's fair. Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Interesting.
SPEAKER_05Um extreme reaction to the game.
SPEAKER_10Donald Fazon.
SPEAKER_05Donald Fazon, awesome. I think also I've been tempered by all their T-Mobile commercials to make known significantly less. Yes.
SPEAKER_01That's fair. I was a big Scrubs fan when Scrubs was coming out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07All these celebs and commercials these days.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, especially when the commercials are like they're bit so strongly over and over again in a really bad way.
SPEAKER_05You know, you know what I think we need to bring out, uh, bring back, and this is a real opinion. I think we need to bring back calling people sellouts.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like I think we need to bring back respecting artists less when they do commercials. Yeah. Which I know that financially it's hard, but it's also like so many struggling artists still manage to like do their artistry.
SPEAKER_07And not do that.
SPEAKER_05And not do that.
SPEAKER_07For me, it's like like the the like Avengers in the Capital One commercials. It's like Jennifer Garner and Kristen Bell and you don't need everyone.
SPEAKER_05Everybody who's ever been on SNL was like, and now my ad for Raytheon. And it's like, okay, you don't need to we don't need Marcelo Hernandez and Keenan Thompson in 10 different T-Mobile commercials. Like you both, Keenan Thompson, you make so much goddamn money, you do not need this.
SPEAKER_10Like I we I was watching something on Disney Plus, and our our Disney Plus has ads.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_10And um we got the fucking weirdest commercial. It was like for that uh private helicopter that will take you from Oh, you guys are getting a rich commercial, right? From Manhattan to JFK. I never fucking got it. Yeah, they don't give those to me. It had a commercial on Disney Plus, and it was Liev Schreiber who was the Oh he's I've heard he's an asshole. Maybe great enough.
SPEAKER_01He was doing delayed commercials.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, it was but it was so weird because it was like it started as him, it started a close up on him as a child, him as a child, uh as in like a little baby actor playing him, watching the moon landing. And then and it was like a ten year old version of him, and then it goes to pictures of choppers, and then it's just him getting out of a chopper, and it was like that man was not 10. Yeah, I was gonna say, how old is he? Yeah. He was born in like 1967. Yeah. Or something. Like, that's not a two-year-old. Yeah. Okay. Blade, I'm not falling for your bullshit.
SPEAKER_08If you can't do the math on that, what makes me think you could do the math on the math on helicopter in the air? Exactly. I'm never getting in a helicopter.
SPEAKER_10I'll say it right now on this podcast. I'll say it. I'll say it till last dying breath. I'm never getting on a helicopter.
SPEAKER_08From Blade.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_10Were you gonna ask you?
SPEAKER_05For Coke was alive during the moon landing? No. No. No, I I know that.
SPEAKER_06Um you Berlin Wall, though.
SPEAKER_01Um I was. You were I was February, February of 1990, and I think Berlin Wall was 91. Nice.
SPEAKER_05Wasn't it 89? Do you credit yourself with the stuff?
SPEAKER_01I was actually, as I was saying that, I was like, wasn't he? I know Berlin Wall is 89.
SPEAKER_05When did Shane I was just gonna say, because we're both flying out of JFK later this week. It's a nightmare. It's $195 per seat to take a blade. We could split a seat. Yeah. Olivia as well.
SPEAKER_08We could the three of us stack up um and do uh pieces go down.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Which honestly, if you're in I like considered it just like when I You considered it? Taking a blade?
SPEAKER_08Well, if an Uber is a hundred dollars.
SPEAKER_01Because an Uber's a hundred dollars, and I was like, I may as well just like like pay for a helicopter ride for the experience of it.
SPEAKER_07Oh, we'll probably take the train. Y'all are saying blade as in helicopter. I was like talking about bringing a sword on a plane.
SPEAKER_03Dude, I fucking wish.
SPEAKER_01That's what I thought Blade is the company that does the helicopters from Manhattan.
SPEAKER_07I'm not even I don't have enough money to even get those commercials.
SPEAKER_01But it's 190, it's 195 after the subscription, which is also like $100 a month.
SPEAKER_05Oh, well then not worth it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I just imagine that that would take a long time.
SPEAKER_01It's very fast. It's like 20 minutes.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. Those things move fast.
SPEAKER_01And then you get like a private entrance to the airport and private security.
SPEAKER_08Well I don't care for that.
SPEAKER_10I love that. But I don't want to be in a helicopter.
SPEAKER_07At all. I just want there to be um a high powered rail. I mean, yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, uh high speed rail. I feel like most of us are just like, what if we just had better public transportation? Yeah, and then we don't.
SPEAKER_08I went to the beach yesterday and it was actually a lot easier to get there than I thought it was gonna be. Did you take a beat?
SPEAKER_01You should do the helicopter.
SPEAKER_08No, but yeah, I took the I took the F to the A and then All the way down. All the to the yeah, I took the shuttle. And then on the way back, I took the ferry. Oh because the ferry goes to Battery Park and then it winters and one goes Where would you like me to transport you? And I said, You're not real, you can't catch me. Yeah, um But also it goes all the way up to 90 the street.
SPEAKER_01The people's yeah.
SPEAKER_08The people's yeah it was yes, it was great.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I like that they've been adding more ferry service in uh the summer, especially, but it's been getting a little bit higher on Manhattan, even on the Hudson side. Yeah, yes, it did it used to kind of just be on the East River and along Brooklyn, but now it's going up the Hudson River side too.
SPEAKER_10I love the ferry.
SPEAKER_01I do too.
SPEAKER_10Also their advertising, their like social media is on point. And they just started doing uh merch.
SPEAKER_01Do you follow it? Eddie just got a hat.
SPEAKER_08Yes, my I said the same thing.
SPEAKER_01Wait, I have to get on this train. We can see it. By that I mean sorry, I gotta get on this boat.
SPEAKER_05Let's let's we'll we'll we'll all get on this boat together in a few minutes. Merch. Let's wrap up the talk back uh by talking about the revelation at the end of the episode. Oh, yeah. Something going on.
SPEAKER_01Phil's got like a fissure like Rex has.
SPEAKER_08Oh, scars. I think you said scarfs. No. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Phil's a real big scarf guy. Yeah, the huge scarf guy. And it's similar to Rex's car.
SPEAKER_07I would have remembered scars at the end of the episode. I guess we I feel like we knew that when y'all saw his scar at the pool.
SPEAKER_05We had we had there was a suspicion, but there wasn't like the confirmation that there's like magic shit going on with the biggest.
SPEAKER_01I think we both like worked our role pretty hard. We had to roll it.
SPEAKER_08But but your perception check wasn't good.
SPEAKER_01No, we did bad. I think we missed it. That's why I tried to with shenanigans.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, brute force. Rex was going to hold up his shirt and go, look at your scar.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, Janice, a doctor, get a better look. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. But we borked it. You borked it, but now the end of the episode. Uh who knows what we're doing.
SPEAKER_10You want to wrap this one up?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, wrapping it up.
SPEAKER_10We've been doing we've gone on so many tangents. This one is dark. This has been long. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um, thank you all so much for listening. Uh, we are going to get the hell out of here because we got a blade to catch. Yeah. Yes. Uh thank you all so much for listening.
SPEAKER_08We're gonna suck ourselves up five tall like spoons. Also dangerous.
SPEAKER_05Also incredibly dangerous on roller skates.
SPEAKER_08No, I think it's best if you put all of the weight in one area of the helicopter.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's what I know. Thank you all so much for listening. Um, we will talk to you later. Have a good day. Bye.
