Welcome to episode two of I Might Watch That Later. Today we're going to be discussing Sleepwalkers, released in April of 1992, written by Stephen King and directed by Mick Garris, starring Brian Krause, Madchin Amick. I don't know if I said that right. Cindy Pickett, Glenn Shattox, Alice Creage. I'm sure I'm murdering these names, but I'm trying. Lyman Ward, Dan Martin, and Ron Perlman, of all people. Let me just start this off. Can I start this off by saying how this movie only has a 5.4 out of 10 on IMDb? That's crazy to me. It's criminal. It's easily an 8.8 or a 9. It's Stephen King's best movie that has ever been adapted to film, and it's not even close.

Well, I mean, what I love this movie. What's better than Sleepwalker, Stephen King wise? The Shining, Pet Cemetery. Oh, I forgot about The Shining. I'm just joking. I'm just completely joking around.

Well, why don't you go over what happens here as the film opens up?

I'm just trying to figure out, I don't really understand what's happening. Like all the pictures and the cat people.

It opens with, I guess, their definition or the definition of what a sleepwalker is, which is a nomadic, shape-shifting creature with human and feline origins, vulnerable to the deadly scratch of the cat. The sleepwalkers feed upon the life force of virginal human females, probable source of the vampire legend. Very interesting. So they're supposed to be vampires? Yes, they're vampire cats.

This movie's bizarre. This wasn't written. This wasn't a book, was it? It just he writ he wrote it for a movie.

Yeah, I think it was wrote straight for the screen. Yeah, this movie's after we get the title screen, we jump to Bodega Bay, California. And of all people, Luke Skywalker, aka Sheriff Jenkins, is on the scene at a home where a ton of cats are strung up and gutted outside. It's a nice house, too. So we, I guess, are to kind of understand right away that obviously the cats know that these people exist and they're trying to take them out.

Yeah, I just don't seem like they took the cats out super easy at that house.

Yeah, they do kind of struggle with them later on in the film.

Yeah, they do. They just let them hang out in the the yard all movie.

Just gathering. We then enter the home where the body of a I guess teenage girl is found decomposed with a rose in her hair. And that rose.

Which makes no sense. When the skeleton girl or yeah, when she falls out of the closet, you can hear her scream. Oh, I missed that part. The jump scare, like pops out screaming.

So yeah, the corpse jumps out screaming. I definitely missed that part. Then we get an even bizarre, or I guess more bizarre, title card and opening credits full of cat statues and hieroglyphics. And there's a questionable illustration of a woman with a cat head breastfeeding a baby. I really don't know what's going on.

And then there's another strange picture of a cheetah body with a woman's head cuddling. To me, what looks like Johnny Depp. So another bizarre image. And then the last photograph. Yeah, it's bizarre. And then there's one more photograph, a little foreshadowing, purple light being sucked out of a girl. That's what he uses to feed mother.

Feed his mother. We cut to Travis, Indiana. Badass song playing on the record player as we're introduced to Charles Brady. That song is called Sleepwalk. Ooh. It's going on the playlist. Oh, it's me and I listen to it all the time. We see Charles looking through a yearbook, and I guess he's targeting his new his next victim named Tanya. Carving a T into his arm. And this part has always bothered me. He touches the blood on his arm with the tissue, and it's like it looks like he's drawing on the yearbook. It cuts to the picture of Tanya. She has a heart around her that clearly looks like marker. I don't know if the blood was supposed to be the heart. It's a possibility. I don't know. Maybe it just dried up. But Tanya is played by Madchin Amic, however you say it. Closer than I got. I think that's exactly how you said it. Who also stars in the amazing show Twin Peaks.

Hey. I don't have plans on doing TV, but maybe we can do the pilot one day for Twin Peaks. Count me in on that. That's pretty much a movie.

So they set up here that it doesn't take long for the stray cats to find them. So they have traps set up all throughout the yard, and the movie wastes zero time showing us this very strange ancestral relationship between Charles and his mom. Yeah, it's very strange. They're just sitting there kissing and go upstairs. Yeah, and Charles tells his mommy dearest he's gonna go to the movies to introduce himself to Tanya. And I think he asked if she's jealous, and she says, I'm not jealous, I'm just concerned. Yeah, right.

I've used that line with uh girlfriends in the past. Like I've been dancing with girls, and I'll just say jealous. Oh my god. Concerned. Yeah, just a quotable movie.

Uh dropping sleepwalker quotes on girlfriends. Yeah. Hell yeah. So obviously they're not actually humans, but it it is disgusting seeing them make out. And then when Charles takes her to the bedroom, Stephen King, I'm gonna revert back to that. What are you on, brother? What were you doing writing this movie?

Cocaine's a hell of a drug. We get Charles pulling up to the movies. The movie shows They Bite and Scream Dreams.

Yeah, I don't know what it is about 90s movies and cringy dance scenes, but when we go into the theater, Tanya is showing off her dance moves.

He starts pushing hard to take uh Tanya home from work, and her cock blocking or suck blocking dad will not allow that. Yeah, he's suck blocking Charles, dude.

When Tanya leaves, Charles is out there stalking. Yeah, he comes out of the shadows. He also he asks Tanya if she wants a ride home after work. He didn't even drive. He walks home, and when he pull when he gets up to his house, that's when the police officer shines a flashlight in his face. And we see cats in the yard.

Mother is once again famished. Steven. Please follow me on, sir. Then we cut to the classroom, and Charles is basically telling his true story to the class in the form of a story. Ortho doesn't buy his shit. He's on his ass for him to jump, which we'll double back to that. And then we get that hilarious Valentine drawing. Very detailed drawing. Yes, it is. You gotta you gotta stop the movie on that and just take it all in.

Oh we'll come back to that too. Yeah, we will. Tanya then gives her thoughts on Charles's sleepwalker stories. She likes it. Said it's sad due to them always having to flee. Then we get first maybe. Oh, yeah, he is right from the jump. Then we get the shot of Charles gives Tanya a ride home in that badass blue car. Trans Am. The Transam. One of my dream cars. Thanks, sir. Oh, that's one of your dream cars.

You should get one in that same color and everything. Oh, if I would if I could afford it. Grow your hair out like Charles. I'd love to. Charles then gives Tanya a ride home and thanks her for what she said in class. He's really planting the seeds here for trust because he he has to give his mother what she needs.

She needs to be fed. He's just spitting so much game on Tanya. Charles and Tanya arrive at her house. Charles sees uh rubbing pictures of graves. Tanya tells Charles she's shooting at homeland tomorrow at an old graveyard, and then she invites Charles. Tanya's mom then interrupts. Do you use powder or stick? Charles says he uses stick, usually number five. We then transition to our first on-screen kill. Ortho from Beetlejuice, aka Mr. Fallows, who knew Charles was full of shit. He gets Charles to pull over.

Once Charles has pulled over, Mr. Fallows was trying to push up on him. People really should learn to keep their hands to themselves. Here's yours. Charles rips Mr. Fallows' hands off and hands it to him. And I don't know if you caught it, but Mr. Fallows was he was using that hand to kind of creep down to Charles's no-no area. Very quick and subtle, but it is there. I've never noticed that before. I think that part of his interest in Charles is not only that he knows he's full of shit or thinks he's full of shit, but I think he he has a thing for Charles. He's wanting a piece of him. Yeah, then we get a hilarious little quick chase scene through the woods. Mr. Falls smacks his head on a tree, and then we get Charles eating him, I guess, is what he's supposed to be doing.

When I was a kid, this scene irritated me. The mom's always saying how hungry she is. I guess when I was a kid, I didn't realize she needs to feed on the virgin. He's sitting there eating this guy in the woods and didn't take any home to mom.

I guess you're right. And I think that's what they were trying to allude to in the intro is for whatever reason, mother can only eat like the town virgin or whatever, and I guess Charles can just feast on whoever and whenever.

I don't understand why she's not out doing it. Yeah, no, she stays tucked away in the house pretty much the whole movie.

All right. This we cut to my personal favorite part of the movie, the whole police chase. Oh, I love this scene. Yeah, I think it's very well shot. Um, I don't know what they were aiming for for sleepwalkers, but man, out of everything in this movie, they really got the car chase scene down. I love it.

I just love how excited Charles seems. Like he just got a kill, and then he's out cruising around, joy riding, wanting to wanting to stir some shit up. Stir some shit up. Wants to go on a police chase.

That's also where we meet Clovis the cat. We'll have more to come on Clovis a bit later. And then I think it cuts to a brief scene of mom staring out the window as the stray cats they continue to uh grow stronger and unite in her yard. That yard needs to be uh cut. Pretty sure everything's overgrown. I wonder if the city has stepped in yet and put a notice on their door.

We can't gloss over that. Charles also tries to mow down some kids getting on or off a school bus.

Oh, yeah, he does. I love that. Sees the kids and it shows them just pedal to the metal. Man, fuck them kids, bro. Yeah, I think he speeds up when he sees them. He's having a blast. He does. He speeds up trying to kill little girls.

Well, we then get the classic scene where Charles notices Clovis, and I don't know for what reason, but he starts to, I guess his face starts shape shifting.

Yeah, he turns into like a little boy, then the cat creature thing, and then just the full-blown monster, whatever, whatever they are.

I'm pretty sure the the cops seeing him do this too, and he's worried about the car having a supercharger on it. I'm like, come on, dude.

I like the uh response, or I like what the cop says when he sees Charles's face, he goes, What the fuck? Classic.

And then I guess he tries to tell the other cops later in the movie and they just don't believe him. Yeah, I think they tell him he needs to get his eyes checked. Uh Charles then pulls off and he dims, which is what they can do to make theirselves and I guess surroundings invisible because him and the car disappear. Now we do see a POV of Clovis, and he can still see Charles. And I think that's where we get the stop looking at me, you fucking cat line, one of the best lines in the movie. Yeah, it is. Charles then stops dimming, and his blue transam switches to a red Mustang. Uh Nick, you want to explain why that is stupid?

I it's it's very stupid. How do you change the how do you completely change the car? Couldn't they just have anything that they want at this point?

Yep, but eventually the blue transam comes back. So I don't know if maybe temporarily they can do that, and then it goes back to what it originally was.

I've always thought it changes back because he lost focus on the car because he's focusing on Tanya at that point. Oh, you could be right. Because the mom's actually telling him later on in the movie, like he needs to focus and he can't. I think he's got too much going on at that point. He just kind of forgets about the car.

And we cut to the police station, and officer Andy is trying to explain what happened during the chase, and that Charles shape shifted and he couldn't make out his face. Of course, the other cops don't believe him. Charles then goes home, and yet another scene of him kissing all over his mother. At this point, I can do without this.

Making love with the purple lighting. Yeah, I think it is this scene. I don't understand this. I don't understand why they do this.

They're horny animals. Uh, we then cut the mother, is literally beating the shit out of Charles. Uh she then notices that Charles is wounded. Charles explains that he was seen by a cop and that it's starting again. And I guess what he means by that is they're catching on and they need to hurry up and feed mom and get out of town.

He didn't have to, he didn't have to eat the teacher. He didn't have to run from the cop. He's just having too much fun. He's being reckless, is what he's doing. He is being reckless.

Yeah, are these people hundreds of years old? Like, are they hundreds of years old? Or I guess he actually so yeah, he shouldn't be if he's playing a teenager, he he sure is acting like one.

Yes, he is to a T. Charles expresses fear that mother is going to starve, and they haven't seen any more sleepwalkers. So I guess at this point, they're the only two left, or the only two that exist in this area. Who we don't know that.

Well, mother tells them at that scene that she can feel more. There's more of them out there, she can feel it.

It's a shame we never got a sequel.

Yeah, there's they're pumping out sequels and remakes and god knows what else. I'll be there day one if we do get one. Oh, dude. We're going the day before. Oh, yeah. Mother then reassures Charles that they will feed tomorrow and leave town. The amount of cats accumulating in the yard is now starting to grow at a significant pace. I mean, these things are everywhere.

How many cats do you think are in the yard at this point? Oh, I have no idea. Maybe 50, 50 to 60.

I don't know. It's a lot of stray cats. Yeah, it is. Oh, I think here's a scene that you were alluding to. The next scene, the sleepwalker song starts playing again. And this is the I was already over it at this point, but this one should have been cut. Like this one should have been cut out. It is where they're in their animal form and it shows the purple light. Oh, yeah. Weird scene. Yeah, I get it out of the movie. All right, we then cut to Tanya. She's preparing a picnic or with the rubbing date with Charles at the old cemetery. Her mom asks if they understand each other. More on that later. Mom is then seen sewing up Charles and telling him he cares more for Tanya than he does her. Charles then asks why she's being a bitch. Because I'm hungry. So now mom's getting hangry.

Yeah, I've always loved that line. I'm hungry. See, then when I was a kid, this is what I was talking about. Like Charles could have brought the teacher home to feed her, but I was a kid. I didn't I didn't. This movie was very confusing. How old are you? I didn't understand what's going on. Oh, I was probably five or six years old.

Yeah, I don't I don't think at that age there's it'd be too hard to keep track of what's happening. It almost is as an adult.

Yeah. This movie came out the month and the year I was born. This movie is as old as I am. I say it's my favorite year from the or favorite movie from the year I was born.

Then we cut to Tanya shows up to Charles' house, and then we get that shot where you can see the mom in the mirror, and the human illusion is gone. You can tell that it's a cat monster. And Charles notices and quickly tries to uh shuffle everybody into a different room. This is where that rose comes back from the beginning in the corpse's hair. The mom places the rose in Tanya's hair, so that's the callback to the opening scene, which lets us know. I guess maybe Charles and the mom were responsible for the death of that girl at the beginning.

This scene's stupid, like they get they have Tanya in. In the house. Why not just gang up on her? Get her on the ground, suck the life out of her right there. Why do they have to go on this little date?

We then cut to, I guess they're leaving to go to the cemetery. Tanya notices that the car is different. And Charles obviously lies to her and tells her the Trans Am is in the shop. And then bam, we arrive at the cemetery where shit's about to go down.

Tanya brought a camera along with her. She starts taking pictures of Charles. The dimming of the car wears off, and the red Mustang switches back to the blue Transam. We then cut back to Tanya, taking more pictures of Charles, and they fall down and start rolling down the hill. How many chances does Charles have to give Tanya here?

How many? I mean, I think he's telling her like three chances.

He keeps saying, You don't know me, Tanya. He's like one of those. That's why I think he really likes this girl. He doesn't want, he doesn't want to kill her. He's just there. I think he's just trying to have a date. She's she's pushing up on him.

Yeah, she's not pretty aggressive. Maybe Charles loves Twin Peaks.

He probably does because he says a line very similar to a line from Twin Peaks in the scene. What's he say? He says, uh, this doesn't have to hurt, Tanya. Actually, I lied. It does have to hurt.

And poor Tanya getting beat up by Leo and now Charles.

Yeah. She's always in some kind of trouble. Charles repeats to Tanya what her mother asked earlier. I thought we understood each other, Tanya. Charles then shows his true self and tries to suck the light, life, virginity, whatever out of Tanya. She pops up after he's tried to suck the life out of her. She tells him she couldn't breathe. And then he pops up, he's got his cat face out, and he starts getting a little nuts. Uh that's when he tells Tanya, like, uh, it doesn't have to hurt. And then he like punches her in the face and knocks her down on the ground. And he gets on top of her and he's saying, It does have to hurt. Or he's going, feed me, Tanya. Feed me. Mother's hungry. Great lines. He's trying to suck the life again. He continues trying to suck the purple beam out of her mouth. She grabs, she's reaching for the camera and grabs it and just whacks him right in the face with it. He's knocked unconscious. She gets up to run, turns around, looks at him. His normal face is back. He's got blood all over his face. She feels bad about what she's done. She walks over to him saying, Charles bends down, and you get one of the best lines from this whole movie. He pops up with his cat face again, saying, Pika baby. So she starts running, he's chasing her again. Uh pretty sure he's got her on the ground again, trying to suck the life out of her. Finds a corkscrew, shoves it in his eyeball, get another great line. He's screaming, says, Look at this shirt. My mother's gonna kill me.

And she uh gets up, she's telling him to stay away, and he's he's sitting there trying to reason with her. Or maybe he's like, Natanya, uh it doesn't have to be this way. Why don't you just consider yourself as lunch? And then she lunch she uh slices him with it again, takes off running to the entrance of the graveyard. Then we get the officer Andy rolling up. He's he spotted the blue Transam. She's telling her, she's telling the police officer to help me. She tells him that his face changed. And he says, face change, like the same guy, obviously, because it's the blue transam. He's putting her in the back of the police car. We get a great shot of Charles popping up behind the cop, shoving a pencil in his ear, and then throwing him to the ground, jamming the pencil even deeper into his ear. Looks at Tanya, another great line. Cop kebab. We got Officer Andy slowly sitting up, points his gun at Charles, shoots it at his back. Charles like he's he looks pissed at that part. He gets up, walks over to him. He's just smiling in his face, dude. He grabs the gun from Officer Andy and is just smiling at her. Well, he tells him at first, I don't believe you fired a warning shot, officer. Grabs the gun from smiling in his face, shoots him in the stomach. Officer Andy's out. He's done. Then uh Charles returns to the car where he's trying to attack Tanya, looks over, spots Clovis. What's Clovis do at the scene?

He almost kills him.

I mean he might have killed him. It's not it's it's not very clear. Yeah, it's not clear what goes on there at the end. Clovis pounced on his ass and was fucking him up.

Then poor Clovis goes and lays down on Officer Andy's body. Yeah, sad scene. But you know, if they were left out there alone, that cat would eventually eat him.

Well, he got a he got a good taste of Charles. Maybe he wouldn't be hungry for a while.

All right. We then get a quick cut to Charles arriving home. Now at this point, cats are literally everywhere. Mother embraces Charles, who states his face is so hot. So Charles is apparently burning up. I guess that's what the cat slashes and bites do. It steams them up.

Can I just say real quick, uh, when I was a kid, I thought this scene was funny because it shows the mom like slicing oranges or something, and she hears the trans an pull up and she like gets so excited. I always thought, oh, shit, here she's horny again. She's horny because he's home. But after re-watching it as I'm older, I realized uh she's excited because she thinks he's back with Tanya's soul or whatever he's trying to feed her. I yeah, I always thought that she was just horny. She's wanting some as he's pulling up.

She thought it was feeding time. So at this point, Charles seems to be mortally wounded. Mother starts tending to him, cleaning the wounds as he lays down on the couch. Mother is telling Charles that they will be coming for them soon. She then asks Charles if he is strong enough to dim, and he's not. So at this point, Charles is in a pretty bad state. We then get the Stephen King cameo, and I believe that's Toby Hooper who he's talking to, director of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's him. I had no idea he was even in this movie. Yeah, this movie's got some weird cameos. Stephen King seems to be the owner or groundskeeper. He has the audacity to say he's not taking the rap for this, uh, because they could be perverts or weirdos. Buddy, you wrote the story. Take ownership. The only pervert and weirdo is you, Steven. Yeah, he's into some weird shit in this movie. So what do we got next? Tanya informs the police that she has photos of Charles from the graveyard, if they could find her camera. The cops let her know they will be by later to ask some more questions and to check up on her. They ask if she is for sure that he said his name was Charles Brady. Tanya then requests that Clovis stays with her when they go to visit, as Clovis saved her life during the attack from Charles. And at this point, the cats have just I mean, they're everywhere. These people are in deep trouble at this point. Yeah, dude, they can't even go outside. Charles is so wounded, he's spitting up water, telling Mother that he's dying. At this point, the police arrive, and mother dims herself, Charles, and his blue transam. Now, at that point, I was wondering, does it take energy or for them to dim? Because mother's already got to be in a pretty weakened state being starving.

I guess so, because Charles can't do it at all. Yeah, he almost does, but it he just he can't. He just doesn't have the energy.

At this point, the cops search the house. One of the police officers steps in a cat trap and it really pisses off Hellboy. I don't know his name in the movie. I didn't catch it or write it down, so I'm just calling him Hellboy. Who's actually pissed off?

Or yeah, I think I think they called in one of them's local, and then the state show up because I know I think Charles still's a or the mom still's a Indiana State police car, I believe. I didn't pay attention to the car. Uh we then cut back to Tanya's house, and I guess the cop there checking up on her or whatever. Her parents have offered him some food. Uh, there's one more ear of corn left. Do you want it? What a goofy picture. Yeah, this is our slapstick officer of the movie. Uh, we then get a quick scene where Tanya falls asleep in the bathtub a la nightmare on Elm Street and has a very brief dream of Charles popping up in her face. I like that scene. I thought it was pretty cool. I really like that scene.

That was not the fucking wind. Mother appears behind them and smashes their heads together twice. You're right, it's not the fucking wind. Another great line.

All right, we cut back to Tanya's house. Mother rings the doorbell. We find out her name is Mary. Uh I don't think it was divulged. Yeah, I guess I never knew her name. He just always calls her mother. So she attacks the dad and the police. Lovely home, Mrs. Robertson. We had a lovely home too, but we never stayed long. Ooh. Another great line. Tanya's mom gets throttled out of the window. And this is when the uh police officer that was eating dinner all night with him, he comes around the corner and he's making the goofiest face. And he's how many shots? He's got a revolver, I think. He shoots all six shots at her, misses all of them, and then just kind of I missed the six times. Yeah. Then he turns around. Tanya's I think does the mom have Tawny at this point? Tawny came down the stairs, she's like knocked her out or holding her by her hair. The cop doesn't even care. He just runs to the phone to call for backup instead of trying to do anything. And uh as he's on the phone with the police, we get another great great scene. Uh she comes up behind him and stabs him with the corn on the cob through the back. Does it instantly kill him?

Yeah. Well, uh, we get a great line from the mom though. You wanna you wanna say what it is? No vegetables, no dessert. It's just got a corn cob sticking out of his back with blood all over it. This movie's hella quotable. Yeah, it is. We then cut to all those cats running down the road following the scent of mother. Police arrive at Tanya's house. Mother, the mom's just dragging Tanya out by her hair. I think a Hellboy and another cop are running up. The one cop just doesn't even acknowledge what's going on. He runs in the opposite direction as he sees a lady dragging Tanya by her hair. He's got a dog. Hellboy walks up. Uh it's like telling her to stop. She just grabs his hand and bites a few of his fingers off. And he's got he's got huge teeth. Like it shows him screaming. Bizarre looking guy. Uh she also snaps his arm, I'm pretty sure. Is that the mom? Somebody's arm gets broken. Uh then the woman takes the gun from the officer, I guess, and shoots the cars, and the cars explode.

Yeah, what what the hell's going on? She hitting. I don't even know if a car will do that if you shoot the gas tank. I don't think it will.

Like we just get crazy explosions out of nowhere. Tanya's then loaded into Hellboy's police car and taken back to her house to see Charles. Tanya starts fighting back and mother shapeshifts. Tanya starts fighting back and mother starts shape shifting her face. Does she knock Tanya out in the car? Yeah, Tanya's, I think, KO'd in the car here. We cut to Mother's house, and the damn cats are everywhere at this point. Mother crashes the car into the house to avoid the cats. She just runs right through the garage, I think, doesn't she?

She pulls Tanya out by her hair, I'm pretty sure, to get her inside. A cat jumps on her, I think, and she just snaps his neck.

I'm pretty sure Charles is dead at this point. Yeah, he looks disgusting. It doesn't even look like the same. Is this even the same guy playing Charles?

I don't know. I did have noted to ask you if did Mother use her powers to bring Charles back? Because once Sleepwalker, she turns that song on and Charles rises to dance with Tanya. So is that Mother, or is Charles got a little life left in him?

I think he actually does have a little bit of life in him because he uh I'm pretty sure you can hear him screaming. She like gouges his other eyeball out. You can hear him screaming. I'll get to this. I'll get more on that here in a little bit. Yeah, so the mom she uses her powers to put the record on from all the way upstairs and it starts playing Charles's song. He just pops up and starts dancing with Tanya. The mom's she's she's loving it, isn't she? No, he's trying to suck the life out of her again at this point.

I think, yeah. So after we get that bizarre old dance scene, uh, we see another officer arrives and sees Clovis in the front yard. Clovis then jumps through a glass window as Charles is going full sleepwalking, sucking Tanya's soul slash virginity or whatever. Tanya then pokes him in the eye as Clovis attacks mother. The officer then shoots the door down, and all the strays come inside and attack mother. That's that's bad news for mother. There's a lot of cats. Oh yeah. There's at least a hundred cats at this point. Oh, yeah. I mean, they're they're all over this house. Uh the officer then shoots mother as she fully transforms as they're fleeing the house.

I'm pretty sure Charles, it's it's left to us to decide. He's like sitting there screaming as she's gouging his eyes out, and he drops to the floor, and uh the officer's trying to get Tanya out out of the house, and she's asking, is he dead? Which we don't ever see him die. Like he's just left laying on the floor.

I guess you're right. I guess it's up to the viewer to decide if Charles is dead. I I would assume yes. But maybe Charles comes back.

Maybe he does. Maybe we'll get that sequel soon. Here's hoping. So the mother is dimming again and throws the cop into the traps in the yard. Tanya gets in the cop car trying to flee. His mother is trying to pull Tanya out of the window. The officer's in the background, he throws a trap at the mother's back, who in return pulls a get over here with the chain on the trap and impales the officer onto the fence. Like I think that fence would just collapse. It doesn't look very sturdy. Yeah, probably. Clovis then attacks mother and is joined by all those cats. Mother gets set on fire by the cats. Yeah, the mom just goes up in flame. Uh, she's on fire as Tanya is trying to start the car. Mother falls down and then reappears at the windshield in human form, still on fire, telling Tanya, You killed my only son. And then she drops dead. Is that uh those effects don't look too good in that scene? No, they don't. It looks really bad, actually. So the mother's dead. She drops down, burning, and Tanya's still sitting in the police car. Who pops up in the window? That's right, Clovis.

What a great cat! I'd love to have that cat. Tanya sits there with Clovis looking at him and tells him it's just you and me now, Clovis. Just you and me. And we get a shot of the mom burning as the stray cats are running around almost celebrating as the end credits begin.

Uh I think I watched this movie two or three times over the course of a week when I first watched it like last year for around my Halloween spooky movie viewings. I don't know. I'm sure you're aligned with me here, but uh when it comes to sleepwalkers, I might watch that later.
