Good morning. This is my sweet doggy Jamie. Jamie's a very good boy. Jamie, you gonna look up? There you go. You're so handsome. This is Jakey's doggie. And this is Jake's room. Now, I know it doesn't look like a room for an autistic 33-year-old man. But this used to be my bedroom and Wally's bedroom. And I like Asian motif. And Jake he decided that he was in love with this room and he no longer wanted to sleep in his room. So he stole our room. And you'll notice that there's no sheet on the bed. He strips the sheet every morning around five o'clock. And what we have underneath is plether because he still has potty accidents in the middle of the night. This plether is amazing. It's zippered. You can buy them online now on Amazon, anywhere. When we first got one, we had to have a woman actually make it for us before they actually started selling them. And she was so sweet after she finished it. She said, I am never doing another one of these again, but I am giving this to you at no charge. What a wonderful lady. And that one eventually, you know, um we had to replace it. They last maybe three or four years just because of the potty accidents and things, and you have to replace it, but uh it lasts a pretty long time. You'll notice that the wall over here, I have um one that stick art or you know, peel-off art. And in the last video I showed you that was called the Destroyer of Homes. This is why we call Jake the Destroyer of Homes. You will notice on this wall that he has been pounding through it. He does this when he's happy, he does this when he's angry. Um, right now we just have tape on it. Over here, we got some tape. We haven't replaced this wall yet. Um, it hasn't gotten too bad. However, if you look over to this side, this wall has been completely replaced, and uh because he pounded all the way through it. So now what we do is we get a handyman to come and they will put this wall up for you. It was about $800. It's not cheap, but now he can pound on it as much as he wants, and he can't get through it, which is nice. You'll notice the door here. This is where he pounded the door when Wally and I wanted private time. And we used to lock the door and he pounded it, and we haven't replaced the door yet because the door costs about $800, and right now it's just not worth it. But I'm gonna show you what we did to another door. I'm gonna come into the living room. This is into the kitchen, and this door we replaced because this became the wall-in-my bedroom, and we put um we put a um pleather coating on top, and underneath is padding, sort of like what you put on a bed, this padding here, and we did that so that Jake could pound on it and he wouldn't break through that door. So, and then you'll notice this room. Luckily, when we had it remodeled, um we used better wood so that he can't pound through this wood, and he still does it to this day, but uh, this is our bedroom, it's also Jakey's playroom. Again, you'll notice that he took the blankie off. He takes the blankie off every morning around 5 a.m. And you know, like I said, he shoves a lot of stuff in the closets. So then I'm gonna show you something else. Oh, yeah, I'm gonna show you this. So all of our anything that we have on the walls, we have bolted down. Um, because Jake will take them off the walls and throw them in the closet or throw them in the bathroom. He has broken them before. Most of our paintings or anything that we put up on the wall is now not glass because he has broken the glass before, hitting it or throwing it in the closet. So this is like plexig. This is plexiglass right here. That's a great picture of Jamie. We have holes right here where we and we just covered it up. We used to have a pug. We had holes here, and so that we made it a little place to put photos up for Jakey to look at. This over here is a really pretty um peel on art, and we also had this wall replaced with a big piece of um, you know, a harder piece of wood that goes all the way across so that Jakey can't pound through that anymore. You'll notice right here that he does still pound right here. Yeah, he's pounding right there. We've fixed it once or twice, but he pounds right there while he's on the couch. This is our couch. We try to keep mostly leather in the living room, and um we've got pleather um pillows because Jakey gets them all dirty, and then we have to throw them out. And you'll notice that something's missing in this room. See if you can figure out what's missing in this entire room. Yeah, that that's also um that's also um put in. Um Jake used to take that down. So that was also that was glued down and um and um you know um put uh screws in it and everything so that he couldn't get it out. But there's one thing missing in this entire room, and that is we have no lamps. We have no lamps in the house because Jakey will unplug the lamps and throw them in the closet, and he breaks them all the time. So now we only have overheads, we only have overhead lighting um in every room so that Jake can no longer um ruin our lamps. Though we have no lamps in here again, we have overhead lighting instead. This is this is kind of like a playroom and a sunroom. So those are some of the things that we've done to um keep Jake safe and keep things um, you know, taken care of in the house. Um, this is another one. We like to um my mom likes to do puzzles. She has old timer, she's 89, and one of these days I will introduce y'all to her. She's kind of uh shy and doesn't want to be on camera. But my mom put this together and she does lots of puzzles, and then we frame them, and then we put them up with plexiglass, and then we screw them in the wall so Jake can't take it down. So that's part of the story when it comes to um you know the destroyer of homes. The other thing that we do is Jake has had over a hundred seizures since he was 13, and so we try to keep nothing but leather um through most of the living room. So if he falls, and then we try to keep it really open because he spends a lot of time in the living room. We try to keep it open so that if he falls, he doesn't hit anything, which um he has done many times. So that's one of the reasons why we don't have much in his bedroom either. Um, we only have one little side table in his bedroom, and we keep that there so that he has a place to put his snacks or his drink, something like that. Oh yeah, here's another hole. So I kind of covered that one up a little bit. Not too bad. So, anyway, that's sort of the story of the destroyer of homes, and I may have another one and tell you some other things that we've done uh with Jakey. That's all for now. Y'all take care.
