Jakey’s visit to his neurologist regarding his seizures. Pretty good day considering he doesn’t like going to the doctor. He even gave Dr. Gill a hug and a kiss at the end of the appointment! 🤭 #Autism awareness
Give me the indication that it would be outside of the fact that it's it was a variable. Well we tried it in all of a sudden different with not taking chances. Right. No, I agree with where you were coming from that for sure with that.
SPEAKER_00But I didn't think B12 would have put it.
SPEAKER_01But given that he had been doing so well, yeah, and then that was like I said, the variable, then we have to question if it's in there. Like you said, it affects everyone differently. Given that he's back off of it and it's been sounds like a little over a month. About a month. About a month. Um and he's been doing well.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01I'd had I hesitate to make the adjustment to the device just for for the battery life. If we think we found a, you know, if we found a potential trigger and we can work through yeah. But if he has another seizure this month, I want you to call me and we'll I'll figure out how to make it work so that we can get the schedule take.
SPEAKER_00Okay, and maybe move it up a little bit. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Just but given the fact that there was a variable we know and you've removed it and seems to do it a little better. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um it says B12 can actually maybe make them too hyper and they can't sleep real well at night or something.
SPEAKER_01And if if that were the case, if you were a little bit um hyper and you know not sleeping well at night, then we run the uh possibility that it was sleep deprivation that contributed.
SPEAKER_00Okay. All right.
SPEAKER_01I tell you what, you you're uh over me, aren't you? Well, you know, the first one, you definitely almost built the whole night prime. Okay, so that's definitely a contributor. Yes. Yes. But we kind of like all these.
SPEAKER_00And then the second one wasn't, so then we got worried, so we weren't sure. Yeah, what the trigger was in that case. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Alright, let's we're gonna make sure you have all your medicines, Jake, so that you um you keep the rest any further seizures away. We don't like them.
SPEAKER_00That's right. That's right. She's taking good care of you, Jakey. That's your doctor.
SPEAKER_01The VimPAT that he's 20 mls of two times a day. We definitely are gonna need that one because it's just a timeline. The Raspiridol, that's four milligrams twice a day. The zonogram that is 400 milligrams nightly, and depict that is uh six tablets two times a day. Yep. Alright. And we use this still CVS on um bell hall.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Okay. Yep. Alright. Do you think you should do a blood uh AI? I was gonna say it would be good. You want to try it? Check and just levels up. Give her a kiss a little huggy. Alright.
SPEAKER_01Just because of the epicode and whatnot, I think it's uh good to stay on on top of that. That's okay. The biggest of the um trigger troublemakers.
SPEAKER_00Right. Should you check his blood pressure? Did they did they check it? They didn't check it. No, he came in, said you're good, and he left. Dark haired guy, curly hair. Yeah, he didn't do it, they didn't do anything. Is usually uh normal, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, don't let me do it then. I will uh let's see if we'll do it.
SPEAKER_00He's gained weight too. He's got a boot a belly. You got a bootabelly. Yes, you do. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Alright, so you're gonna let me check it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, let's try. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Check it. Let me get the um the machine so we can see what your blood pressure is, okay?
unknownAll right.
SPEAKER_01Cool bag. I like that.
SPEAKER_00It's a shock.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna we're gonna check your blood pressure, please. I know, I know, it'd be nice. Be nice. No, it's not being nice. Come on, let it out. Uh, all right, let's check the blood pressure, Jakey. Okay, sit them down.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and if you would sit down on that chair over there where there's an armrest, that would be perfect. Okay, we can work here. We'll work with this one.
SPEAKER_00Whatever makes you happy, Jakey. That's right, that's how we're doing it. So this podcast is called For the Love of Jake. Ha!
SPEAKER_01I like that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. We talk about all the different things we've done with Jake over the years and how we've fixed the house up to make things easier for him. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I'll have to look.
SPEAKER_00Don't move. Come here.
SPEAKER_01Can you wrist your arm down? Relax it.
SPEAKER_00There we go. Yeah, let Daddy hold it. Alright.
SPEAKER_01We've done this before. No, no, no. It um it was incredibly low on juice, but now it's up to 21%. So I just think it'll be good now.
SPEAKER_00Almost done, Jakey.
SPEAKER_01It's taking a side note, isn't it? I have a feeling I'm gonna do a little elevator just because he was so uh wound up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01128 over 8083. Woo-hoo!
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That's what we like to hear.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we like numbers like that for sure.
SPEAKER_00Alright. Jake says, Can I get the hell out of here now? You can. Alright, give her, give her a little kissy. Kissy. Kissy. Oh, you're sweet. Oh, that's my boy. You're sweet.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so we'll see you again in about six months. And if you go over to the lab, they'll uh they'll um get get that blood drawn.
SPEAKER_00Okay, let's do it. Let's do it, Mary. Thank you so much. You're very welcome. Best neurologist in Charleston. Oh, you're sweet. Mary, Mary Gill.
