We started a new speech board for Jake. We have tried this many times before, but Jake seems to be more interested in trying it now. It may be a little too overwhelming for him, so we are ordering the board with maybe
only 10 or 12 characters if interested, it is from Joyreal. You can find it on Amazon and it is very reasonably priced. Wish us luck and I will keep you updated on his progress! I am excited.!
Hello, sweet P. Put your sock on. There you go. Yeah, you see that right there? That's when Jakey had a seizure about two months ago. Yeah. We need one more sock, Daddy. Can you bring me a sock? Oh, here it is. Okay. There's your other socky. Good job. Right foot. There's your right foot. You'll notice we only use the uh the velcro shoes and the left foot. Good job. Now, Jakey. We got a new board for Jakey. Jakey. What you want to do? You want to go see Papa? I want you to tap. Mmm. You're going to tap something to see Papa? Okay, maybe later. So this is the new board we're going to start using with Jakey. We just started it. It may be a little overwhelming for him, so I think we're going to get the smaller one as well. That only has maybe 10 characters. But he has been using this. He likes to say I love you a lot, which is very sweet. And he has been starting to learn yes and no. Um, and I'm thirsty. So we're working on it, but he does seem to like it, and he's letting me help him show him the pictures. So keep your fingers crossed, everybody. We tried this years ago, all through school. Um, he was never interested in it. He never got better than a 50% on just maybe like two different items, like yes, no. So, but now he seems to be doing so much better that we are going to try and see if we can get this to work so he can talk to us more. He seems to be liking it though. So I'll give you an update at another time. Thanks for listening. Bye bye.
