Here’s an update on the speech board for Jake. It takes a lot of repetition, but Jake is starting to understand a few of the characters on the board! He really likes The one
that has the heart on itwhich
says “I love you”, which is so sweet! He is also learning how to use” I want to go out.” we are also working on mommy and daddy which I recorded on the bottom of the board, as well as I want a snack, and I am thirsty.
So far, he is really enjoying the board, even though he still needs my help to find the right words!

Can you finish brushing your teeth, Jakey? Come on now. We did this episode. Okay, we're waiting for Jakey to come out. Jakey's brushing his teeth. Getting ready to go for his ride. Daddy's doing a good job. Jakey can't spit. He's never learned how to do that, so we use toothpaste that's just for kids. So he doesn't get too much fluoride. Yeah. Alright, come on up, Jakey. Alright, you show mommy what you want. You want to go for a ride? Come here. Come here, Jakey. Show mama what you want. You gonna talk to mommy? Talk to mommy. What do you want? What do you want? Which one? Which one? Right there, right there. I want to go out. Okay. You get to go out. Good talking, Jakey. Good talking. High five. High five. Yeah, you want to call for daddy? Call for daddy. Say, hurry up, daddy. Daddy, daddy. That's right. Daddy's coming. You get to go for a ride. Jakey's doing better. He's learned a couple on his own. He especially likes the I love you, which is very sweet. Yeah, he pushes I love you all the time. But he's almost got it down where he says, I want to go out. And we're working on I want a snack. Mommy, daddy, hello. Right? Jakey knows how to say hello. He says, I'm ready to go. Alright. Alright, Jakey.
