Season one- episode 2: Jake’s past surgeries and update on his speech board

Here’s a little update on Jake’s past surgeries, his vagus nerve stimulator, and when he had a burst appendix. Also a little update on how he’s doing with the speech board! He’s getting there and he

Okie dokie, here we go. Alright, Jakey's putting his socks on. He's good with his socks as long as we position them the right way. You gotta position them backwards. And then he can put them on. You got the itchies? I'm gonna have to get you some lotion. You need some lotion? Okay, mommy's gonna get you some lotion. What do you say, Jacob? Come on, I got some lotion. Jakey's got the itches. There you go, buddy. Put the sock on. Sometimes Jakey's scar itches from his vegas nerve stimulator. Yeah, that scar right there itches, doesn't it, Jakey? Yeah. We'll get you all taken care of. Yes, okay. You got one sock on. Does that feel better? Alright, put your other socky on. And I'm wearing my new pants from my stepmother, Sally, who sends clothes to our house three, four times a year. Perfect fit, Sally. Thank you. Enjoying them. All the pants fit, by the way. Awesome. Alright, we're gonna put your right foot on. Now Jakey can put his own shoes on, but he gets confused with the right foot and the left foot. And again, you'll notice we only use the Velcro because he can't tie his own shoelaces. There you go. Okay. Then I'm gonna fix your shorts. Don't always fix his shorts because they're a little askew. There's the Buddha belly. And you'll notice right there? That was when he had his burst appendix when he was 25 years old. Barely survived. Stayed in the hospital with him for 11 days straight. But he made it. We had a great doctor. Give me a big huggy. Huggy. Because mommy loves you. So you give me a kissy, big kiss. I love you, sweetheart. You're my baby. That's it for now. Bye, everybody.
