What are you still carrying that God already took from you?

In this episode, we unpack the truth in Isaiah 53 and how it applies to real life—the guilt you replay, the shame you hide, and the weight you were never meant to carry.

This is for the strong woman who shows up for everyone else but feels exhausted inside.

You’ll be reminded:
 • You don’t have to carry what Jesus already carried
 • You don’t have to fight battles He already won
 • You don’t have to prove your worth—it’s already been paid for

Today is your moment to lay it down.

As I was reading Isaiah 53 this morning, um it really resonated with me. This chapter is telling us something so powerful. It's telling us that we don't have to carry what he already carried. You don't have to fight battles he's already won. And you don't have to prove your worth because he already paid for it. Can I ask you something real quick? What are you still carrying that God already took from you? Good morning and welcome back to Coffee Talk. I am your host, Candace. I want to talk to the people today who are carrying something heavy. I mean heavy. And not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. You're showing up, you're smiling, you're handling life, but deep down, you are exhausted. You are tired. Not tired, but sad. Tired of carrying guilt, tired of replaying your mistakes in your head, tired of trying to fix what already broke you. And today I want to remind you through the word of God something very simple, but very life-changing. You don't have to carry what he has already carried. We all wonder. The Bible says all of us have gone astray. Not some of us, not the worst of us, but all of us. That means the strong woman, the praying woman, the woman that leads everybody else, even herself. Sometimes we think we're the only ones who have messed up. But my sister, my brother, wondering is human. Scripture says the Lord laid him, laid on him the sins of us all. Let that sit for just a moment. That guilt that you keep replaying, not only in your mind but your heart, that shame you keep hiding, that mistake you keep defining yourself by, it's already been placed on him. So here's the real question. Why are you guys still carrying something that God already removed? In the scripture or in this passage of scriptures, it shows us how God didn't fight back. It says he was oppressed and said nothing. Now let's be honest, because this is coffee talk. Most of us, we wouldn't, we would have defended ourselves rather, explained ourselves and even cleared our name. Ooh, child. He's talking to me. But he didn't. Why? Because he trusted God's plan more than he needed to be understood. Now I'm gonna run that back for the people in the front and the back. Most of us, we would have defended ourselves, explained ourselves, cleared our names. We would have, you know, some people, fighting is your thing, and hey, that's you, no judgment. You know, you would have been ready to fight, take it to the streets to clear your name and to clear up what people are saying about you or accusing you of. But God, but but Jesus rather, he didn't. And why? This is because he did trust God's plan more than his his need to understand what God was doing in his life. And we often get misconscrewed thinking that Jesus doesn't know what it feels like. But he does. He was rejected, he was misunderstood, he was treated unfairly, and he was left alone. So when you say nobody understands what I'm going through, that is simply not true because he does. Not just intellectually, but he lived it. I need you to know that there is purpose in your pain. As hard as that is for me to say to you all, it's even hard to accept it for myself. Because when you're going through something very painful, we never really see the purpose of it. But it's not random. The Bible says it was God's plan. Now I know that's hard to hear because again, pain doesn't feel purposeful. But this tells us something important. Just because something hurts doesn't mean it's meaningless. God can take what tried to break you and use it to build something in you. So here's the beauty of it all. He took our shame, he took our guilt. And in exchange, he gave us righteousness, freedom, a clean slate. Not because we earned it, but because he carried it. So today, I want you to do something simple. Ask yourself, what am I still carrying that I need to release? Is it guilt? Is it shame? Is it something from your past? Is it something nobody even knows about you? And then I want you to make a decision. Not tomorrow, not next week, but today, like the moment you finish listening to this. That decision is to lay it down because you were never meant to carry it in the first place, right? All right, guys. Well, let me pray for you. God, thank you for carrying what we couldn't. Thank you for taking our sin, our shame, and our brokenness. Help us to release the things we keep picking back up. Teach us to walk in the freedom you've already given us and remind us daily that we are no longer bound to what you already bore. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Thank you all for spending these 10 minutes or less with me today. If this conversation encouraged you, share Coffee Talk with another person who might need to hear it too. Until next time, keep walking in faith, keep growing, and remember you're not on this journey alone. Be blessed.
