The Inner Beacon Podcast With Marisa
How to Stop People Pleasing & Show Up Authentically as Yourself
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Your most authentic self isn’t something you “find” once and keep forever. It’s something you return to, again and again, when life pulls you outward with noise, expectations, and the pressure to be everything for everyone else.
Marisa is joined by Brittany Scott for a live, honest conversation on authenticity, alignment, and what it really looks like to lead from within. We talk about core values, identity shifts through motherhood and major life changes, and the quiet ways we give away our power when we chase comfort or approval. You’ll hear how journaling can become a steady anchor, why healing is not linear, and how the lotus metaphor captures the real path of transformation: rising through the mud, turning, stumbling, and still blooming.
We also dig into anxiety and nervous system regulation from a refreshing angle. Instead of fearing anxiety, we explore it as information, body signals and “spidey senses” that can guide you back into integrity when you’re out of alignment. If you’re an empath, deep feeler, or intuitive person, we share practical energy protection tools like box breathing, grounding, visualization, and simple routines you can use anywhere.
If you’ve been asking “Who am I before the world told me who to be?” this conversation gives you prompts, clarity, and permission to come back to yourself. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs it, and leave a review to help more listeners reclaim their authentic life.

Authenticity As Alignment And Integrity
Anxiety As A Signal Not A Flaw
Grace Through Change And Nonlinear Healing
The Lotus Path And Inner Purity Alchemy
SPEAKER_01And I'm so glad you're here. So let's dive into today's episode. Alright, so I was a little bit inspired by the current live I did on Instagram with Brittany about authenticity. So I wanted to come on here and speak about that. About authenticity, integrity, like serving in your purpose, or at least what that means for me. So I guess the question really is who are we when we are truly connected to ourselves? Our most authentic selves, where we live from our core values and your worth. That's where you are living in your truest alignment. When you're connected to your identity, your worth, and your values, something powerful happens. We look outside of ourselves for direction. We begin leading from within. That's where magic is created. That's truly where the inner beacon is all about turning on that light and living unapologetically in alignment. Many of you many of us are living from feeling scattered because life has us disconnected to ourselves, or from ourselves. I mean, it's hard to have clear direction and make decisions when we are lost from ourselves like that or disconnected. I'm not gonna sit here and sugarcoat it. And I feel like I've lived many different versions of myself, and it's taken a lot of work to shift old beliefs, thought patterns. I've struggled through depression, anxiety, heartbreaks, losses, but I've also experienced joy and adventure and love. And along the way, I've also learned that when anxiety and things like that show up in your body, they're like your spidey senses. They're telling you something. And it's about learning to listen to those spidey senses. And I'm currently reading a book called My Anxiety Is Giving No, sorry, Your Anxiety is giving me anxiety by Elizabeth April. I highly recommend the book, honestly, but she does a great way of explaining this about how we are basically told that or to fear anxiety. And it's not something we should fear. It's actually a superpower. If you really start to learn to listen to what your body's trying to tell you, there's usually like purpose behind it. Anyways, the point is that we're always growing. Our very cells won't allow us to stay stuck for too long in one place because the most constant thing is change in life. And it forces you to face things. So you can do it the easy way and explore it. I mean, easy way, I mean, quote unquote, easy way and explore it, face it when it shows up, or we can continue to resist that growth and continue to live in the same unhappy cycles over and over and over until it forces you to face it. No matter who you are and where you are in life, you may have experienced some form of feeling lost outside of yourself, tired of a current circumstance, tired of being tired, drained emotionally and physically, lost in motherhood or in a relationship and unsure which direction to turn in life. And maybe you're like me and have tried several different things online just to come up and have to pause and reevaluate it all, which is okay. I just want you to know whichever version of that is you, it's okay. It's okay not to be okay. I see you, I hear you, I've been in your shoes. And I've still at times needed that reminder that things always work out and that I already have the tools to find the answers within me, and I've learned to do the work. I've also had to learn to give myself grace. And now I know that when life forces you to pause or something changes or happens to you, it's actually happening for you. There's always a purpose that we quite we don't quite see at the moment. And I can say that because I've done the inner work and the tools that I've been able to really build have built a trust or my trust muscle. So it it gets easier every time. Healing is not linear. And once you truly integrate, integrated, oh my god, I can't, those practices in your daily life, then it's easy to revert back to. And guys, I still need those reminders sometimes. I always talk about how the greatest and deepest and oldest relationship that we have is the one we have with ourselves and how important it is to nurture it. More than ever, I think we need it right now, which is why I am showing up in the way that I am, why I've created this space and it's been so fun to create, and why I'm serving in this way. I really truly feel like this is my purpose. And I know how scary it can be to feel like you've lost your identity in being everything for everyone else. And that's exactly why I've created my inner purity alchemy, which is a lotus path, so that I can help others also connect back within. I want you to feel joy. I want you to feel happiness, clarity in your daily life. I want you to have the tools to be able to regulate your nervous system and show up as your most authentic self. I want you not to feel so drained and empty from pouring into everybody else so that you can start filling your own cup back up. And I am confident that I can help others with this because I've pulled myself back up, taken my power back on several occasions in my life. Can you tell that I'm passionate about this? I just really feel like it's my purpose to help guide you back home to you. So who are you really? Who are you before the world told you who to be? I invite you to ponder and journal that. See what comes up for you here. Where have you been giving away your power? Are you living from your values? Or have you gone against them in your current life or situation? When I was creating my container, I knew this is where the journey needed to begin. Now, I call it the Lotus Path, and I just kind of want to explain why. I just think it's so perfect because the lotus flowers journey is such a beautiful one, and it is very well related to us in our lives. It emerges from the mud through its own twists and turns just to come out and bloom, yet so clean and pure and beautiful. And when we recognize our true radiant, blooming version of ourselves, magic happens, truly. But just like that lotus, sometimes life takes us also through turmoil, twists, turns along our path before we finally get there. Think about a brand new baby. Pure, bliss, a new soul, precious, and everyone is always drawn to it because the baby has just this purity about them, right? And this is the us before the world starts demanding and telling us who to be. The symbol of the lotus flower is also purity, self-re uh regeneration, rebirth, healing, beauty, awareness, spirituality, transformation. The year that I did the most healing and decided in my adult years to really go deep in the inner work to reconnect with my higher self, I was drawn to the lotus and I actually tattooed it on my shoulder with the unalom underneath it. And I share this because that's now my logo, and I chose that because of the unalom. It's a symbol that represents that the journey to enlightenment, it's a reminder that the path is never straight, perfect, or even the right direction. Our paths are filled with missteps, lessons to learn, and they're will suffer as well as joy. And I think that that's why it's so important to know how to navigate life using tools like your that are your very own, like your inner compass, your spidey senses, and learning how to listen to those as part of our magic. Like imagine waking up feeling more connected to yourself and confident in the decisions or choices that you make, trusting your intuition again instead of constantly second-guessing yourself, releasing the emotional weight you've been carrying and creating healthier boundaries in your life, feeling supported by a circle of women who understand what it means to walk the path of self-reclamation, finally giving yourself permission to slow down in a world of chaos and reflect, truly rebuilding the relationship that you have with yourself. This is the intention behind the inner purity alchemy. But once again, I want you to ponder on those same questions, and I'm gonna say them to you again. Who are you really? Who are you before the world told you who to be? I invite you to ponder and journal that I say that again. See what comes up. Where have you been giving away your power? Are you living from your values or have you gone against them in your current life or situation? I teach you how to integrate tools and practices to be able to come out from the mud and submerge into the pure, beautiful lotus that you are. I hold space for you once a week, giving you permission to finally connect back within, reclaim your power, reconnect with your intuition, and step into your most authentic self. This intimate container is designed to guide you through deep personal transformation using powerful inner prompts, embodiment practices to bring you into more of alignment. This spring I'm opening applications are currently open, and for the first time ever, I'm doing it as a transformational, small group of women instead of one-on-one coaching. It's gonna be eight weeks instead of 12, which was my initial, with limited spots available to keep the container small and supportive for the women in it. But I'm so, so excited to be able to do this. I'm also providing your own little sacred kit for the journey itself. You receive a manual, a journal, candle, candle holder, incense, and a letter from me welcoming you in. I'm gonna be having a telegrap a telegram group chat going on at all times, and then the weekly Zoom calls. It's like a little gift for me to you, the little kids. So it's very different the way I'm hosting it, but I wanted to share that on here since we're on the topic of authenticity. I just wanted and an integrity in the purpose in my work personally. So, with all that said and done, I do want to share the live that Britney and I did about authenticity. I think there's a lot of golden nuggets in there and a lot of back and forth. There was, it was obviously live on Instagram, so there is people that are like commenting as we go through, but we do read them out. But that's gonna be the rest of this podcast for you to listen to here. Also, take note, Britt did take the lead on this one, but yeah, enjoy.
SPEAKER_02All right, welcome everyone. We are so welcome, welcome. We are so glad to have you here with us tonight. Okay, we are gathering on a really powerful time of year, the spring equinox. And it's a moment where the day and the night are in balance. Hey Ramona, thanks for joining us. It's so great. And it marks the beginning of a new season. In nature, it's a time of renewal, growth, and starting fresh, but not in a rushed way, in a grounded and intentional way. So in this energy tonight, Marisa and I are gonna be talking about authenticity. So authenticity isn't about being perfect, polished, or having everything figured out. We know that, right, Marisa? It's about being honest with yourself about who you are today, it's about reestablishing the qualities, corpse, and parts of your being that are already within you and choosing to live in alignment with them. So for myself and Marisa, authenticity hasn't has meant embracing parts of ourselves like being empathic and intuitive, but not just recognizing those qualities. But actually, hey, sorry, but actually it's all good. Caring for them, nourishing them, and honoring what they need. So tonight we want this conversation. Oh, yeah, authenticity is about being real and honest about where you are in the moment. Absolutely. He's on it. Yeah, we want this conversation to be real. Okay. We're gonna be we're gonna share small, honest moments of how we've stepped into more authentic versions of ourselves and reflect on how the season of renewal is inviting us to grow in new ways. And we invite all of you to reflect along with us. So if you have a piece of pen and paper or you would like to grab one, please do. And you can follow along with the questions we ask each other for your own reflection. And if you're feeling confident enough and safe enough, you can also give us your answers in the comment section because we'd love to hear from you too. This energy is a really big time and authenticity looks different for everyone, but the journey back to yourself is something we all share. Okay. So before we get started on the questions, Marisa, I'd love to give you the floor. Can you please introduce yourself to everyone?
SPEAKER_01Yes, absolutely. I am Marisa, I'm the host of the Inner Beacon Podcast. I'm also the founder of the Inner Purity Alchemy community. I'm an intuitive reader, self-love guide. I'm a grandmama of two and a flight attendant based in Toronto. I'm I talk all things empowerment and reclaiming your purest authentic self.
SPEAKER_02Well, this is a good one for you tonight. And in case anyone doesn't know, my name is Brittany Scott. I'm known as a psychic medium, intuitive reader, and guide. I am the founder of Soul Light, running Soul Light Alchemy, speaking on all things intuition, and participating in wellness and healing events all over the lower mainland. Yes, please. Yeah. Okay, this is what we're gonna do. Maurice and I are gonna go back and forth with questions.
SPEAKER_01And my old boss, cat, yes. Yes, ma'am.
SPEAKER_02Right? Okay, we are gonna go back and forth each with a different question. And of course, as long as you're following along, please feel free to answer this for yourself. This is a beautiful time to be doing this work. And like I said, we're all coming back to who we are and remembering who we are. All right. So that being said, I'm volunteering myself to ask first.
SPEAKER_01Yes, ma'am. Go ahead.
Returning To Yourself Through Expression
SPEAKER_02Okay, so here we go, folks. Okay. What is one part of yourself that you've returned to in this season of life?
SPEAKER_01This past year alone, it's more about it's been a lot about reflecting and going back to the tools I already have had in my life that have supported me. And as a mom, it's really hard, or no, really easy to lose your identity. And you also kind of develop a new identity, which is okay. So it's having that, and like the biggest thing, and I'll talk about it with me when you work with me, or when like I speak about anything, journaling. That's been one of my biggest tools, has been journaling since day one, since I was younger. How about for you? I'm curious. Me?
SPEAKER_02What part of myself that I've returned to in this season of life. What have I returned to? There's been a lot of first going on. Oh my gosh, public speaking. So my public speaking and expression. Yes, I've returned back to vocal expression. That one's been, especially on the things that I'm passionate about.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I gotta say, too. I think I've just really, really in this season have stepped into the version of myself that I want to show up as. And that took a lot of getting out of my subconscious beliefs and like a lot of inner work to say the least. Some people are answering here too. Finding myself says, yeah, uh, finding myself before relationship, marriage, and motherhood. Yes, can totally connect with that. Very recently, my confidence in myself and abilities. Oh, yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_02And that confidence and especially in your abilities, Ramona. Huge, huge.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's important, and it's a part of reflection. I'll ask you next. When did you realize you were living out of alignment with who you truly are?
SPEAKER_02Okay, vulnerable share folks. Big yeah, that's so big. Vulnerable share folks. I realized I was living out of alignment when I was I was so chaotic in my body, like especially emotionally, and I was super reactive. And I figured out, and this wasn't easy, okay. Like it took me a bit of time and a lot of dropping my pride to ask for help with this, but it was when I knew I couldn't express myself properly because I was confused about what I needed and wanted and needed to do in my life. So I was completely out of alignment in that moment as I was lost.
SPEAKER_01You know what I've been learning more and more and more doing this work, and I'm actually reading a book called Your Anxiety Is Giving Me Anxiety. And she talks a lot about that. Like, you're people are so fearful of anxiety and or how things show up in your body, but they're often signals trying to tell you something fascinating. It takes it takes courage to face those. So good for you for for listening to those cues.
SPEAKER_02That's actually, and even now when I think about the emotional literacy and stuff that I teach, like that's one of the biggest things I'm trying to tell people and teach people from what I learned about myself, is like everything in our body is kind of telling us something. There's something really wise going on in there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, there's so yeah, your spidey senses.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and they're a huge reality of how we become aligned and authentic. Yes. Do you have does anybody in the watching this right now did you ever could you name when you realized you were living out of alignment? Is anybody wanting to share?
Recognizing Misalignment And Reclaiming Identity
SPEAKER_01I guess I can share while maybe they might be typing, but I think I don't know if it's out of alignment. It's more realignment in this example. But when I became a mom, which is something that I've always wanted, but things in life don't often work out like how you plan them. It's often how they're meant to. And it taught me a lot, but I lost myself completely in postpartum. I was a very anxious new mom. It was the pandemic was happening. I completely lost myself to a point where I was like in a dark place. Right. But often we like they say, once you go down, like it's only up from there, right? And I really picked myself up and had to like realign myself. And it takes a lot of tweaks to find or relearn my new identity and Really connect back with who Marisa is now in this version of myself.
SPEAKER_02Totally.
SPEAKER_01We got some answers.
SPEAKER_02Stephanie says I was living out of alignment when I realized I was taking everyone's energy instead of looking at my own first and dealing with it. I think we both know that one. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you so much for sharing that.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02And then when Ramona, you want to read that in your set?
SPEAKER_01Sure. When I almost let someone else's opinion of how I should be or should react dictate how I felt about myself. That's huge.
SPEAKER_02You caught it though. You caught it. You caught it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And both of those are very like if you if you if you really think about it, is similar. A lot of people have a lot of opinions on how you should be. But it's so important to follow your inner ping, your inner compass, whatever feels right for you. Because you know what? At the end of the day, who's more authentic than uh you are the most you, you are the one that knows yourself best. Uh so that's huge.
SPEAKER_02That's what makes everything so creative in the world, too.
SPEAKER_01Yep, and you know what? You're happier when you follow that instead of living for everybody else.
SPEAKER_02Totally.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I can definitely relate there, been there, done that.
SPEAKER_02So oh, the ways we've learned.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_02Look at us go, folks. We're doing it.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02This is our next question. Everybody, please participate. Okay, but I am gonna I'll ask Marisa again in the comments. We love to hear from you. What is a quirk or trait you used to hide that you now openly embrace?
SPEAKER_01I will have to say in my imp path, my abilities to be like to feel things. I would literally used to walk into a room and I would like pick up on people's headaches. I'm like, I can't, and that's something that like for me, like it's not easy to explain. But there was a lot of things that like spiritually speaking that I would experience and it was really hard. And I thought I was a weird one for it. I like it's I was like hiding it from the world for a long time. But when I embraced it and started talking about it, the more than I realized it gave permission for other people to also talk about it because I wasn't the only one at the end of the day. And like it wasn't easy because like people in the family will judge, you know, like it's yes, I do. Yeah, so that that part of me, I think, and I think that's something that I've connected with Brett always since we were younger, is that like it wasn't openly as talked about as it is now. The yeah, the there's like a veil, like it's it's it's yeah, there's been a more awareness now uh on all those kind of things.
SPEAKER_02So and I think we mentioned this before, Marisa. Like, I remember you struggling when we were in high school and you bringing it up, and I I think in a lot of ways, or I know in a lot of ways, you speaking up gave me permission as well. Because I was terrified. Thank you. I I was scared for a lot of years, and I actually brought that up in another live where I was just like so fearful of certain aspects of myself, you know.
SPEAKER_03Oh without another one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Ramona, my ability to channel. Sometimes Gigi just barges in and says what she needs to say. Your grandmother, got it, and I have to relay the message. I mean, yeah, especially as people who are mediums. And I, you know, Marisa knows this. I'm just a kid that grew up and saw ghosts in my room.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's uh it can be a little bit invasive, but it's also got, you know, it's got all of this beautiful quirkiness to it of bringing love to people and having them feel it's a gift, you know, their loved ones aren't as far away as they thought. You know, absolutely thank you for sharing that Ramona. Yeah, that's really cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I felt I find that too. Like, there's yeah, like we talked about this on Chris's live last time. Is is is like my your ability to like as an empath, know who your your energy cannot be with. Love from afar, that whole empathy, like as an empath, that was really hard too. But great gran, yeah. She's very blunt, but always comes from a place of love. I kind of love this. Love this. Yes.
SPEAKER_02That's what keeps it fun too, right? It's like you're you're like that, like hit with the message, and then you're like, oh my gosh, I know exactly what the energy is, though. So good.
Embracing Hidden Traits Empath And Mediumship
SPEAKER_01Okay, what's our next question? Can you share a recent moment where you chose authenticity over comfort or approval?
SPEAKER_02I can share, yay, I can share three really big ones, folks. I remember the day I went online, and it was more of the close friends vibe, but I told everyone that I was psychic and a medium, and I was intuitive, and like I had hid from this reality of myself for years, and I was like, no, I'm gonna out myself. Here I go, check it out. This is me. And you know, not everybody vibes with that. People have a lot of opinions, they have a lot of different beliefs, which I'm completely okay with, but it definitely that one moment I think is when the reclamation of my authentic side of these things about me that I've been hiding for so long were finally coming to the forefront and we're gonna become something.
SPEAKER_01For sure. I think oh, Chris says, I just realized I'm not good at typing. I'm used to reading the comments, not typing the comments. Yes, he does live podcasts as well. If anybody wants to go check him out, I'll share some time before you finish this live. Nice, I love that. I feel like I feel like I'm the kind of the queen of like stepping out of my comfort zone in despite approval of especially like my family. For example, a decade ago when I decided I was gonna quit my secure job and pursue flight attending, but I didn't know what that was gonna look like, and I decided to literally pack my bags into pack my life into three bags, move across the country with no real plan. And I went to Montreal first and Toronto. Like I just did I've done a lot of things differently than what is the norm or what expected. And I know Brittany, you can attest to that too in your life. So it's been it's been uncomfortable, but you know what? I'm enjoying the ride.
SPEAKER_02You know what we get, you know what I like about this that we get to recognize here, folks, that authenticity is almost sounding like action too, like choices and action, not just the qualities and quirks. And that's something really fascinating is you know, is our intuitive side and those things that we know deep down that we want to do, is that also authentic, right? Yeah, yeah. And this is kind of where we really, when we talk about these things, we really get to explore what this word is saying. And like something I want to bring up as well, like we have the word authentic, but think about like the other day I was talking about sovereignty and empowerment, and like sometimes these words feel really big. And to some degree, they can feel kind of unattainable. Like you read it all over the internet and you think, well, who do I need to become to have that? And tonight, what we're Maurice and I are doing with all of you right now and having you answer is we're giving opportunity and answers and clarity for you to realize it's basically right there. Yeah, it's not beyond you, it's not just, you know, a word. We're talking about the grounding aspects and our choices and our behaviors and these little fun things about us that want to come out, but we're afraid of judgment. And that's really what the word is. The word is like authenticity, it's just having fun and giving yourself permission to do it outside of approval. You know, it's the it's those, you know, when they say go into the shadows, it's those little treasures that we find, right?
Choosing Authenticity Over Approval
SPEAKER_01Yes, it's cool. And I think one of the things that Britt and I spoke about before we decided to do this on about authenticity, too, is like we live in a world where we have a lot of distractions, a lot of like, oh, you should do this, you should do that, all the ads that you come on here on Instagram and see that pull you in different directions. And that's what life is. Like, we live in such a busy, busy, you know, like times where like you have a schedule and all hours, and and what's especially our generation? Oh, I'm busy, oh, I'm so busy. Like, you can be busy, but don't forget that it's very it's important to sit down with yourself too, and don't forget who you are in the process of all the different tugs in life. Because how can you make proper decisions in your life if you're not living from that authenticity, from that core of who you are? And I think authenticity to me means too is what are my values? Am I making decisions based on my values, or am I making decisions based on what everybody else is telling me to do? Yeah, so quiet the outside noise and be you, yeah, yeah, and whatever that is.
SPEAKER_02And the cool part is is if we don't know all of it, we get to discover it.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely exactly, and that's the fun part.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and that's what it's like, wow, well, maybe I'm a little bit better than I thought.
SPEAKER_01Right? You have to be your own cheerleader at the end of the day, yes, exactly, exactly.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so Ramona said, Yes, I recently gave myself permission to explore more creative, my more creative side when it comes to my business. It's so fun and so freeing. Yes, I'm just gonna absolutely all of us as who are kind of you know entrepreneurs and business owners, however that looks, it you know, authenticity, that version of us, that's what kind of helps us stand out a little bit, right? Those aspects of who we are.
SPEAKER_01Think about it. Yes, yes. And think about when you're a kid and you get create get to be creative. Yeah, the most you you can be, your your whatever drawing, whatever you're working on is not gonna be the same as somebody else's, and that right there, like that's a part of you, and when you get creative, it gives that's joy for your soul, no matter what that it looks like for you. Right. Stephanie says, I did this little like a cat alchemy. I was gonna say academy, see, and it changed my life for the better, less chaos, and living my best self and best life. My creativity, my and life is so authentically me now, and I couldn't be more me. Yes, that's yeah, I also did it, and I can definitely agree with you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, there's there's definitely the growth has been outstanding in you know, both of you, right? Like, I definitely got to watch that growth by you know, sitting with people and guiding them to re-embrace, I guess you could say, aspects of themselves that are like screaming to come out. Like, for example, Stephanie's creativity is drawing. I hope that's okay. I shared it. She's a beautiful artist. So, you know, when that there's time for that, there's something really beautiful happening in those moments, right? It's meditative, and it's and it's expressive as well. And so like, yeah, it's there, there you and could we say creativity is a part of authenticity, right? So yeah, that's so great. Thank you for sharing that stuff. That's so cool. Thank you. We love hearing wins.
SPEAKER_01This is and like this is exactly why I love to do what we do, because we get to sit and we let to guide, we like we let we give permission for others to rediscover themselves. 100%. And then that happens.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well said. Yeah. Wins for the win. Right. All right. What's our next question?
SPEAKER_01Um Is it me or you?
SPEAKER_02Actually, I have a really good one I want to drop in the chat if you're up for it. And it'll be for everybody. Yeah. Hey, this is for all of us. Have you ever hidden a part of yourself to fit in?
SPEAKER_01I think we answered that a bit.
SPEAKER_02But is there one specific one maybe you're still hiding? I have one and I really need to work on it.
SPEAKER_01I think yeah, go ahead. I gotta sing again. That makes my heart so happy though, for real.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, I have one and it's it's I don't think it's about fitting in, but it's definitely about expression and authenticity, and just maybe it is about fitting in so that I don't have to deal with criticism, but what's that was big more in my opinion?
SPEAKER_01I think I think that's really big, is that like in the singing and like in that profession, like there is a lot of criticism, and that's really okay. Should we finish with one more question? Sure. Do you want to ask it? Yeah, how do you protect your energy when you're sensitive or or as a sensitive empath empathic self?
SPEAKER_02Oh me, okay. So I have I actually have uh two things that I do warriors are fighting the good fight. Yeah, the way I protect myself is I I work with uh what I believe is a team, so I ask them for protection, but clearing aspects, because sometimes I'm a kind of I can get kind of a little unconscious to absorbing. I love a good bath, like I need water. And I learned this new technique and I offer it to all of you. You can find it on YouTube, sitting in the power. It's actually a developmental thing for mediumship, but if you just want it to kind of reconnect back to yourself, that's really helped me with adjusting my energy and coming back to myself and protecting me from things around me is sitting in the power. It's a really beautiful exercise.
Protecting Sensitive Energy With Simple Tools
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. How about for you? There's one that I teach in my program that I've I use the most, and that's really just I I I love breathing techniques. Box breathing is great for me, but if I just like kind of sit with it, I can do it with box breathing or not. But if you just sit and like kind of imagine like a golden light, I think I spoke to you guys about this before online, but just imagine this golden light almost like a rubber field just literally surrounding your body and this like warmth of it. And I imagine it being like a a sponge, and like whatever comes at me bounces back right back out, and then I just ask and connect, like root myself down and think about whatever's not mine needs to leave, and like just that just the intention of thinking that and sitting with yourself. So in case you have hold held on to anything that's not yours energetically, you're like giving it thanks, but no thank you. Thank you, no thank you.
SPEAKER_02And that's so powerful. Like, folks, you could take that tonight with you right now and do it right after this.
SPEAKER_01Because you what I like about that is you can do it from anywhere. Go to a bathroom stall if you're at the airport and it's crazy. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Like it's kind of like that back pocket exercise. I've got it.
SPEAKER_01Exactly, exactly. And it just takes a few deep breaths, some imaginating, and just intention, really.
SPEAKER_02Totally. Stephanie says that's awesome.
SPEAKER_01Stephanie says, a hot bath meditating in the dark with candles on. Yes, I love me a good bath too, man.
SPEAKER_02There's just something really pleasant about it. Yes, yes, and it's and it's there's nothing wrong with time to ourselves either.
SPEAKER_01That's huge. Yes, especially as a mom. I don't get that often, so I get so making making time to date yourself in a way, romance yourself.
SPEAKER_02That's so good. I love that so much. Thank you for sharing that, Steph. That's awesome. Okay. So I'm gonna before we finish, I'm Marisa. Why don't you share with us? You know, I don't actively protect myself as much as I should. That's Ramona. Okay, we've all I think we've all fallen into that one. I definitely do that. And then Steph, mom of three here. Alone bath time is the best.
SPEAKER_01It sure is. Anytime you get to go to the bathroom alone, if you know, you know.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So I'm like, I'm falling out of the groove, but I really want to read the comments because these are awesome. Like, folks, thank you so much for participating with us and chatting tonight and being involved. This is awesome.
SPEAKER_01Nell just jumped in. Hi, Nell.
SPEAKER_02Hey. But before we finish, I'd love Marisa. Why don't you share with us what you're working on right now? I know that you had mentioned something really special is coming, so I can't wait to hear.
SPEAKER_01I'm this is the first time I'm actually talking about this out here, but my one-on-one container, I've actually changed a few things, and I'm about to host the first cohort group of my container. It's gonna be eight weeks instead of 12. It's gonna be held through Telegram and Zoom calls, so weekly Zoom calls and then Telegram throughout, doing it a little bit differently. It's a very transformational journey we go through. And it's basically here I support mothers by holding space in this eight-week container through telegram and zoom, and we go through a path of my, I guess, quote unquote, we're gonna go through the awareness stage to see kind of where we're sitting at. We're gonna be learning about energetic bodies, your energetic bodies, and how to connect with yourself in that way, and then how to ask questions to support you to go further, and then from there, we're gonna go into the release stage and then to the receiving stage. And it's just a beautiful container, and I'm so excited to host it in a group. It will be applications only because I will want to keep it small and intimate, but I'm really excited about that. Applications.
SPEAKER_02Congratulations on the shift in growth, by the way. This is so exciting. I can't wait for those who are gonna be working with you to experience it. I remember watching some of the growth you went through just with this. So I definitely know, folks, if you're interested, it's well worth your time. Thank you so much for sharing that with us.
SPEAKER_01No problem. What I'm excited about it for is too is that it's I having it in a container in a group setting, they're not going to be going through the journey by themselves. I want there to be a sisterhood that grows from there and a bigger community out of it.
SPEAKER_02So totally, yeah, I've done grouping containers as well, and that's exactly what happens. Like I'm still I worked with in a container four years ago, and there's still a lot of the women I talk to. So that's what we're buying, especially now. We need it. So it's so beautiful the work and the energy that you're putting forward. This is really cool. Thank you. Awesome. Yeah. So we've got your announcement. As for myself, folks, you've either worked with me before or you're considering it. I run a three-month container one-to-one journey called Soul Light Helk Me. It is about the emotional body. Marisa can attest to that. Yes. I work with a lot of deep feelers and empaths. And if you're anywhere at all intuitive or psychic, or you know, you're a card reader, a healer, a medium, I can definitely help you. I've been helping a lot of people wake up to and really come into their power with their connection, but also grounding in a way in their humanness, which has helped with their authenticity. So I still have a few spots available as well. And I'm pretty excited. I just did a seminar this weekend and spoke for an hour. And this following weekend, I'm going up to Cache Creek to do some wellness events with an indigenous band. So I'm pretty excited. This is going to be my second time, and I love doing the work. So that's what I'm up to. Chris. Chris.
SPEAKER_01Way to go, both of you. You two even ran your fingers to your hair at the same time. That's next level connection. It's like we've known each other since we were late.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, 11. We will never get it wrong. But what we want to do, what we want to say before we go is thank you, everybody, for joining us tonight and also participating. Yeah. And I hope you've taken the time to reflect on the questions as well. And if you missed it and came in the middle, you can go back and watch this again and participate along with. Us and of course you can follow myself at soul light with Brit. And the Marisa's got a few if you want to listen more.
