SPEAKER_00Welcome to the Inner Beacon. I am your host, Teresa. I'm a Canadian girl mama of two business owner, flight attendant, and a certified self-level coach. You are in the right place if you are ready to lead your life from within to reconnect with your intuition, trust yourself deeply, and reclaim your power. My goal and intention here is to inspire and empower you. And for fun, I might even add some flight attendant content and travel tips. And I'm so glad you're here. So let's dive into today's episode. So we made this part three of the Inner Purity Alchemy Methods series, and I have been looking forward to this one. If you've been following along, you've done some really beautiful and brave work at this point over the past two other episodes coming into this one. So in part one, we turned the lights, uh, we turned on the lights, right? We talked about awareness and about being uh about seeing your patterns, about coming back to yourself, and in part two, we got into the harder stuff releasing, letting go of what you've been carrying, forgiveness, and creating space. So now we give a talk about what all the space is actually for. Today is about receive. That's the three, the third part of the three-part method in my container. So, and I want you to really let that word land. What does receive really mean? Because for so many of us, especially women, especially mothers, I should say, especially for those who have spent years pouring into everyone else, receiving feels almost foreign, you know, uncomfortable even. We know how to give, that's for sure. We know how to hustle, we know how to hold it together. But receiving receiving feels like it has to be earned, like there's a gap. I want to change that for you today.
Why Receiving Feels So Hard
SPEAKER_00So let's start here because I think it's important. Most of us have a complicated relationship with receiving, and it didn't happen by accident, it was taught. And it's something that I really truly believe is important because there has to be a giving-take, right? We're taught that selflessness is a virtue, that putting others first is what good women or good mothers or good people do. We were praised for giving and made to feel guilty or selfish for wanting or needing. And so, somewhere along the way, we picked up this deeply embedded belief that we are more worthy when we are useful to others, when we are simply ourselves. And that belief, as well as well-intended, as the people who passed it on to us might have been, is what keeps us stuck in the cycles of overgiving, burnout, resenting, recovering, and starting all over again. Receiving isn't selfish, it is actually the most generous thing that you can do because when you are full, when you are rested and clear and connected and operating from a place of wholeness, what you give to the people you love is completely different. You give from overflow instead of from depletion. You show up as the present, patient, joyful version of yourself instead of the exhausted, reactive one running on empty. And I really need you to hear this if you're even somebody who's in like the coaching world or someone who's in a sort of field like hairdressing or maybe work in a spa, like somewhere where you're really like giving your energy, this is really important. And I say this from experience because I did work in that industry in the beauty industry before. And as an empath, it's easy to get depleted. So when you're giving it like this, it is so so important to be able to receive. And in order to receive, we have to create that space that we've mentioned that we've done the work in uh when we spoke about awareness and the rewiring, releasing of phase two into the receiving, because this is just as important. You cannot pour from an empty cup, as I always say. I know you've heard that, and I want you to really feel it today, not just a concept as permission. This is your permission slip right now to receive.
Three Ways To Receive
SPEAKER_00So, what does it actually mean to receive? Receiving on the Inter Period Alchemy method is about three things. The first is receiving yourself, accepting who you are right now, in this moment, not for the future version of your like the one that you're working towards, not the version of you where life was like complicated either, but this version, just right here, right now. The one that's doing the work, the one that's showing up, the one that's building self-trust, the one who is messy and healing and brave all in the same time. It means looking in the mirror, not to critique, but to actually acknowledge the woman looking back at you, the strength she carries, the love she gives, the resilience that she has shown. This is where the inner work becomes the inner knowing. This is where you stop waiting for someone else to tell you you're good enough, and you start telling yourself then, second is receiving guidance, your own inner guidance. This is where we work on getting connected with your intuition and learning about your inner compass. Your inner ping, the quiet, calm, clear knowing that has been there your entire life, even when you've been too busy or too afraid to actually listen to it. So after doing the awareness work and the release work, something starts to shift, the noise gets quieter, and in the quiet, you start to hear yourself again. Your actual desires, your actual values, the direction of your life is asking you to move in. It's kind of like when you're clearing off your desk to work, right? You can't work with all that clutter and all that chaos in your life. So you have to clear that up in order to work, in order to bring things in, in order for you to be able to focus and live from that inner purity. So that's the receiving stage. That's what becomes possible when you've done the work. And the third is receiving the good, love, rest, help, joy, abundance, opportunities, relationships that truly nourish you when you start accepting and being able to receive in that beautiful way. So, because here's something I have learned and lived and watched happen again and again is you can only receive what you believe you deserve. And the work we've done in awareness and release, it has been slowly, quietly, powerfully expanding your capacity to receive. So by seeing yourself more clearly, by putting down what was never yours to carry, and by creating that space for yourself, now we get to fill that space with something real.
Listening To Your Inner Ping
SPEAKER_00I want to spend some time here on intuition because I think it is the single most important tool in the receive stage, and it's also the one the most of us have the most complicated relationship with. Your intuition is not loud. Like, I mean, it's not dramatic, although it can be when it starts to show up in anxiety instead, because your body's trying to tell you something like we spoke about before, right? But most of the time it comes as a quiet nudge, a sense of knowing without knowing why. A feeling of lightness and expansion when you're moving in the right direction and contraction or tightness when you're not. Right. And the tricky part about intuition is that it is often, it often doesn't make logical sense. And I've I've spoken about that in my podcast before, my story about how I just had this inner ping of like I had to move, move from the only province I had known since I was nine years old across the country by myself. It made no sense to nobody else, but it did to me. And so much growth and so much expansion has happened since. It's the small voice that says, go this way, or this person isn't right for you, or you already know the answer. Have you ever had that? Like when you're talking to a friend and you're asking something like advice or whatever, but then you find like, oh shoot, I already know the answer. And the tricky part about intuition is that it often doesn't make any logical sense at all. Like I said before, I know this because I've lived it. I packed my life in two suitcases, like I said before. I got rejected for I failed training by one question when I was trying to pursue flight attending because I started over, I pivoted, I waited, and every single redirect on the path led me exactly to where I am meant to be. My husband, my daughters, this work, this podcast. None of it looked the way I expected. All of it was for the better, and it worked out better than I planned in its own magical way. And that's what happens when you learn to receive your own guidance instead of constantly looking outside of yourself for the answers.
Daily Practices To Trust Intuition
SPEAKER_00Practical ways to strengthen your connection to your intuition are to slow down. Seriously, you cannot hear your inner voice over the noise of constant busyness and screen time and doing, doing, doing, create moments of stillness every day. Even if it's five minutes, even just stepping outside and breathing. And what I do in my inner purity is I have you create your own little sacred space where you're gonna be doing the work, where you've been doing the work if you're already in this stage, right? For your journaling. So journaling the questions, not just to answer, instead of journaling what happened today, try asking, what is my intuition trying to tell me right now? What do I already know that I've been avoiding?
SPEAKER_01And what is the next aligned step?
SPEAKER_00And then right without editing, just let it come. Just like your morning journaling that we talk about. If you're in my in my container already, we talk about doing the just writing whatever comes through, right? To get that out of your consciousness. Here's the consciousness. And notice it in your body. Your body is always communicating. Learn its language, learn the feeling of yes versus no in your physical experience. That's when we go into the inner compass. The lightness versus tightness, the expansion versus the contraction, and start trusting what your body already knows. Practice with small things. You don't have to make a huge life decision to practice intuition. Practice it in small daily choices where to go, what to say yes or no, how to spend your energy. The more you practice trusting small things, the stronger that trust muscle begins. It's just like, so I speak a lot about the inner compass in this phase. And what does that look like? So when you're on, for example, in your car and you turn on the GPS and you accidentally turn the wrong street, what does it do? It starts to recabrate. Oh my god, is that how you say that word? Right? So it starts to find a new direction or a new way to go from wherever you turn you took. So there's never a wrong way. But you got to learn when you're answering something or you're trying to make a decision for your inner compass. Is it a full body yes? Really learn what that feels like in your body, or is it a full body no?
Unconditional Self Love In Action
SPEAKER_00And I want to talk about something that I think it is actually the deepest piece of the receive stage, and that is learning to receive love from yourself, not the conditional kind, the kind that says, I'll love myself when I lose the weight, when I get the business off the ground, when I'm a better mom, when I finally have it all together, the unconditional love kind. Right now, as you are, with the stretch marks and the anxiety and the half-finished projects and the the days you lost your patience and the years you spent playing small. This is the work. This is actually the work. You're not gonna don't start loving yourself only when. Start loving yourself now. And that's what, and like if you're doing the work right now, then I'm so proud of you because you've already walked into that, right? You're already stepping into that. Because here's what I've learned the way we talk to ourselves becomes the lens through which we experience everything. We talk a lot about the subconscious mind in the rearwire and release stage, but I'm just reiterating it is if the voice in your head is constantly criticizing, minimizing, comparing, that voice shapes what you believe is possible for you. It shapes who you think you are, it shapes what you think you deserve. And flipping that doesn't happen overnight. It is a practice, it is a daily, consistent, intentional practice of choosing a kinder voice. It sounds like I am doing the best that I can, and that is enough. It sounds like I am allowed to take up space. It sounds like I am worthy of the same love and care that I give so freely to everybody else. It sounds like I'm not behind. I am exactly where I'm supposed to be. So say those to yourself. Write them down, put them somewhere, you'll see them.
SPEAKER_01And then the critical voices come and it will just notice it. It will. You don't have to fight it, just say I see you.
SPEAKER_00That's an old pattern, and choose the kinder voice, anyways. So that is self-love and action, not a concept as a daily practice. Because you are your beacon. You are the beacon in your life. I want to close this series by bringing it all the way back to the name of this podcast, The Inner Beacon. A beacon is a light, a guide, something that leads the way even in the darkness. And the whole point of this work, the awareness, the release, the receive, is to help you become that version of yourself. To stop looking outside of yourself for direction, for validation, for permission, and to start leading from within. And you know what? You are responsible for that. You can speak to any coach in the world, any mentor, any friend, anyone in your life. But it's up to you to do the work. See, I hold this container and I teach what I teach, but at the end of the day, for you to get results, you have to put in the work. Because here's the truth the version of yourself that you have been working towards, she is not somewhere in the future. She is not something you become once you've checked enough boxes or healed enough wounds or figured enough things out. She's already in you. She has always been in you. She is just waiting for you to clear away enough of what was never yours so that you can finally see her clearly. That woman, the one who trusts herself, who moves from alignment, who gives from overflow, who follows her inner ping even when it doesn't make sense, who loves herself fiercefully and unapologetically. She is your inner beacon. She is what we've been doing this work for. And you don't have to have it all figured out. You have to start living from that place. You just have to start. You have to, it's just a decision. It's a decision to be just stepping into your power, which is there. One small choice at a time, one day at a time, threading the needle. Before

SPEAKER_01What does my life look like and feel like when I am truly receiving? Rest, joy, love, support, abundant.
SPEAKER_00Where have I been blocking good things from coming in and why? What does my inner compass say about the direction my life is asking me to move in right now? What is one way I can practice receiving this week from myself, from others, and from life. And this one write a letter to the future version of you, the one who's already living in alignment. What does she want to know for right now? That's a really good one to always come back to because that's just you talking to you still. That is the inner purity method, all three stages awareness, release, and receive. It is not a straight path, it is not one time a one-time journey. It is a practice that you return to again and again as life evolves. New layers come up, and that is not failure, that is growth, and that is your becoming.
