Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, or good night. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for listening. My name is Nigel, and this is Scrap Notes. Hello, hello, hello, and welcome back. Um This is going to be the next episode UFC 325 Alex Borkonovsky Diego Lopez. What what can I say? It was a good card. Uh all the fights on uh you know um yeah all of them I think were pretty good to be fair. I think to start the main card, it was Jamie Malaki. And I'm gonna probably struggle to say this guy's name, I'll admit. But I think it's Quillan Salkild. But who knows? It's gonna be fun because a lot of the names that come through, not necessarily today, but in the future, I'm probably gonna struggle to say, so it should be fun. Uh we'll make something of it. Um, but yeah, it was actually a really good fight for Quillin especially. Um he I think he's come through the Dana White contender series and looked really good, got great grappling. Um, Jamie Malaki, obviously older, bit of a vet. Um almost like the gatekeeper for Quillan, if I was to say anything. Um but yeah, came up, started uh looked good. Um you I'd I'd probably say that Quillan was looking a bit bigger than Malaki at first. Um looked like fitter, but there was wrestling, really good wrestling going on. Um trying to remember the elbows and the punches from Quillan because he was doing that really well. Malaki was just really focused on the wrestling. Um and yeah, the wrestling was doing alright for him. Quillan, he was holding on to it, but it's just cool, that Quillan kid is cool, man. It's just like the way he's they got the wrestling, he's got the striking, and while he was just uh almost look they was up against the cage for a little while and it almost looked as though they was just um like he was just waiting for the moment to do what he did. He did a really nice judo throw, ended up on the ground, and then he Ah that yeah, he looked over towards the commentators and stuck his tongue out kind of like eh. Um and from there he um worked into taking the back um of Malaki and you know Malaki just once it once it got that judo throw, it he looked out of his element to be fair. Um Quillan he just got to the back, locked in, looking for the rear naked choke, and just started squeezing. And he looked really strong in that squeeze. Um Malake it didn't end up being a rear naked choke, it looked more like a neck crank. But you know, if you're getting your head twisted all the way around, it's gonna hurt and you are gonna tap. So he did um he ended up tapping in the end. Um but you can't blame him. It was uh it was really good for Quillin. Like I say, there was a bit of grappling, it was a short fight. There's not really much to say about the fight, is the gotta try and drag it out a little bit. Um but yeah, he had uh the good strong takedowns, followed up with some punches. This is Malaki. Um but yeah, the throw to the ground looked like it might have surprised him a little bit, because obviously he was just in grapple mode, um, moving around, and then the next minute he was on his back, Quillin was in a dominant position, and yeah, he just he worked his way around to that back, cranked his neck, and yeah, he he he he looks good. I'll definitely be looking forward to Quillan Salgid's next fight. I don't think he's got an opponent an opponent yet. This has been recorded a little bit after. Um but yeah. Um I'd I'd like to see a nice longed out fight a little bit, see a bit more from him, because he did he did look really good, and I want to see more of him. As a young kid, about 26 years old, six foot, healthy, Australian, cool name, wicked mustache, why not? Uh so yeah, I think um I think I'm gonna be a fan of Quill and Salkid going forward, so I'll uh keep tabs on him and uh we'll just see how that goes. Um but yeah, so there's not really much else I can really start saying about that uh fight. All I can really say is I've become a fan of Quillen. So we'll move on to the next one, which is um a heavyweight fight, which another fan favourite, tie tie to a Vaza. Uh told you these names, like the next one. I can't remember his first name, but Texera. Um yeah, heavyweight fight uh heavyweight fight. I'd never really um seen too much of the Texera guy. Obviously, tie to Avasa, I've seen a bit of with the shoes after winning the fights and just being a just a crowd pleaser, really. He's just likes to swing, likes to throw heavy. Um but yeah, so he's gone into it with Texira, and it was a mixture of a fight, really. It was um Texira was looking more to maybe like wrap up and grapple and do a bit of ground and pound and stuff, but Ty wanted to stand and swing, he wanted to he wanted to brawl, but like every time he was standing in front of him, he was throwing heavy punches. Um but the first I think like the first two rounds or something like that, it was heavily grappling, he was just getting caught up um in a grappling exchange, ended up on his back, and then Ty would defend by just holding the wrists, so it kind of became a little bit of a stalemate, not really too much going on, but because Texanera is in a good position, they can't really just stop it. You know, jujitsu is good and jujitsu is a thing for the people that don't enjoy jujitsu. I'm sorry, sorry for you because jujitsu is awesome. Um but yeah, it's uh yeah, it's it's one of those, you know, you want to see guys swinging and beating each other up. Um but you know, there's also people grappling because it does it's gonna save you at some point, you know, you're not gonna get punched in the face. Although you might get your arm broken or choked out or something. Um but yeah, so it was a it was a good fight. Like there was some good kicks, heavy kicks coming in. Um just I remember Ty had a really good quick start coming out aggressive and fast, wanting to obviously scrapy, wanting to throw the punches. Um but that's where his as he was running in, he got caught, but not caught with anything, but into a grappling exchange that took him down to the ground, and then he ends up in a vulnerable position. Take Shira on top of him, and yeah, just Takeshira just basically controlled, he didn't really do too much from the top. There's a few elbows and you know some heavy punches, but he could have maybe done a few more, I guess. Um but like yeah, especially being a Brazilian jujitsu black belt, um you'd think he would have uh at least tried to snap the arm off or something if you're grappling around on the floor and that it'd just kind of be getting his arms tied up and he'd throw a couple heavy punches and knees every now and then. Um but I give it to Ty, he he's stuck in there, he took it sorry, um he took all the aggression, uh the mountain, he's just stuck on the bottom, he would have been getting frustrated, especially in the first round. Um when something like that's gonna happen, you don't you don't want that. Um just lay on your back, it's just gonna make it horrible for the rest of the fight, innit? But the second round, Ty looked like he'd maybe because he was fighting in his home home turf, he was a little nervous, not nervous, but you know the the feelings all inside of your adrenaline and everything. But so in the second he did look much better. Um he was picking his shots a lot better, and yes, it was looking good, but he'd shoot in every now and then to grapple, and that's where he was faulting because then he'd end up on his back with Texera on top of him. And Texera's a big dude, I think he was like six foot seven or something like that. You know, it's he's a big dude, tied to a Vaser, it's it's thicker, but it's not tall, it's quite short. So, you know, you got that guy on top of you, and he keeps hitting you with an elbow in the face, and or then all you can do is grab a hold of his arms to try and stop him in hope that the ref's gonna stand you, but he didn't. I think the ref understood that you know it's not it's not like it needs standing up because Texera is doing enough. Uh so yeah, so that's just that's how those rounds went. It was a lot of grappling really. Um inside kicks looking really good from Ty. Because he he would throw some good kicks to be fair. Um but that's it, he did eat a few uh punches and elbows, like I say, just wanting to stand and throw heavy, but Ty uh Texera just kept wrapping up on the fence and going into the grapple and ended up on the ground, and it's just it was just stopping tied to a Vaz's offense, if anything. Um well Texera he did he had some good body kicks, spin and elbow that he threw, but Ty ducked from it, and if he would have if he would have landed it, it would have been a mad a mad um a mad elbow. That would have just it would have definitely put him down. Uh but he ducked it. Um but I think from there as he ducked, I think they got into a bit of an exchange where they ended up on the ground and Texera was in a full mount. Um and he was comfortable grappling on the ground. He was he was very comfortable on the ground. Um but as they went into the third, the third round, Texera was looking very, very tired. Like in his career, he's only ever been in the first round. So the fact that he's got to the third, you would expect him to be tired. Um but yeah, in the third tie just came out. If Ty wasn't so tired, I think he probably would have knocked Texera out. He got to a point Techshira was getting rocked, he got hurt, wobbling all over, looking like all he needed was a foot behind the ankle, and he's down he go like a big tree. Um, because he was the third round, he was very hurt. Uh Ty just he was throwing the punches, he was landing, he was rocking him, but because he's so tired, he'd then end up in the grappling exchange, and that was kind of giving Texher enough time to recover enough to then take the next flurry from Ty to evasor. Um, but it was a great end. If um Ty could have done that in the second, which he was trying to be fair, but if he could have done more of that in the second and maybe a bit more of the first, then he definitely would have won that fight, in my opinion. Um because like I say in it it ended that third tight. Not to be fair, there was a moment where they both put their hands on the hips, they were so exhausted. Uh they was definitely really, really tired, and they was they was feeling it. It was uh it was a big one for them. Um but in the end, it just you know Tic Share's grappling just stopping Ty being able to really do so much in the first and second, I think is what won him the fight. I think it was like a 2-1 on the judges scorecard. Um and yeah, it's just uh yeah I think it's you know you're always left with the last impression of the fight, and Ty that's what he did. The third round for Ty was really good, maybe a bit too tired, but it was a good fight. I it was it was a good fight. I do like to see scrapping a lot more, and if there's a guy there ready to scrap, then I'd like to see it. Let me see the scrapping, come on. Um but nah, it's um it's it's all all good. Good fights, good crowd. The crowd was amazing, even though their guy lost and stuff. Um but yeah, uh yeah, I think that's all I've got for that one. Uh it was a good fight, heavyweights always looking fancy, and that's what it was. So as the next fight on that card, as we're moving swiftly along, um, was the lightweight bout between Rafael Fiz Fizayev. I told you these names are gonna get me. Rafael Fazayev and Mauricio it's spelled ruffy, but it's it's Brazilian, so it would be Hufi or oh not Huffy, but I'd assume it's Mauricio Hufy. Um but yeah, that was a good fight. Like I said, Rafael Fizayez uh Fizayev is he's like that short, stocky, muscular, high energy guy. He is go go go. I'm gonna keep throwing these powerful crazy punches and Mauricio uh Hufy. I hadn't actually seen much of him to be fair. So I was quite interested to see how that goes because I do know Raphael, but Huffy I wasn't um known to. Um so yeah, like like I said, as it as it got started, uh Rafael was typical Rafael, very arms up, strong, short, stocky, just powerful, just going the leg kicks and just cutting angles inside the cage, and just yeah, just really strong kicks. Like I believe he was getting really visible damage on Huffy's uh lead leg quite early in the first round. Um and in the first round, Hoofy didn't really do too much, he was quite quiet, kind of taking in what Rafael was doing, almost like I guess getting a read of him so he knew what he wanted to do, because he was throwing a little jab here and there in the first, but the first round he really didn't really didn't do too much. Um it was mainly Rafael with the leg kicks and getting right in his face and cutting off the angles and stuff. But into the second round, as they started going on, that's when Hoofy must have got his timing down and he started to throw a few more jabs, a couple more punches and kicks. And it as the fight went on, he started looking really, really good. Like Rafael was always in his face and always pushing him back towards the cage, but he wouldn't do too much when he was there. So Hofi was able to get out, throw a bit of something, and then get out the way and just start to start to pick the shots well that he wanted and get just a really good read on Raphael. Um I say he did start to get the visible damage on the lead leg um from the kicks from Rafael. And if he could have kept landing him, he probably would have took away a lot of his movement because it was very red. It was uh very, very red. Um but yeah, like I say, he was um Rafael was applying a lot of the pressure, just not throwing enough with it, and he um got as he was trying to move in, he got caught with a right hand that came behind a jab. So it was the jab, and the right hand just came over, stunned Raphael. Um he kind of spun around, move away, so he didn't get hit. But Hufi then obviously recognised what was going on, applying the pressure, and as his Raphael was turning back around to face Hufi, Huffy caught him again with another right. Um, and I think that's what put Rafael down on the onto the canvas, not out cold, he was still there, but he's gone down, and then Hufi um just got on top, started just laying punches down on him, really good punches and pressure, just lots of punches, cut open the face of Rafael, and the ref was giving him a chance, you know. He it it probably could have got stopped maybe a little sooner. Um but it wasn't too bad. It was you know, it was probably called quite well by the ref. Um, but it was it was as as the fight went on, Hoofy just started to look really, really good. He was throwing the kicks and the punches, and his timing was really well. And like I say, once he'd caught Raphael and dropped him, it was it was game over at that point. He just started laying down the punches on him, and that's it, didn't give the ref much of a choice. Like you gotta call this ref, or I'm gonna keep punching him in the face. Um, and Rafael didn't give up any protest in the end. He actually kind of laid back on his back to kind of be like, Oh my god. Um but yeah, that was a I think that was the first round, so it's a quite a quick one. So again, I've not got too much to say on that other than uh Hufy with a really nice jab and the right hand following it that stunned um Raphael to drop him. Well, that one didn't drop him, that stunned him. He kind of spun around a little bit, and as he faced back towards Hufi, Huffy caught him with another right, and that's what put him down. Um but yeah, he took a few punches and then went down, bleeding face, and that was that. That was the Raphael Fizayev and Mauricio Hufi fight. Um I said there wasn't much that I could say about that because they're early fights, you know. If they're if they're ending quick, I've not got much to say either. So we then have to move on to the next one, which I think this was also another early one, but um I can't actually remember. So yeah, I think it was a uh uh maybe it was the second round. Um but it's let's not tell you who we're talking about, shall I? It's uh Dan Hooker, and I think it's Danis Saint Denis, French guy, ex like the SAS of France. I'm not sure what their special services are, but yeah, he was uh he was a bad man apparently for he is like when you see a fight. Um so yeah, Dan Hooker, Danis Saint Denis, um what can we say? Dan hangman hooker. Um I remember watching Dan years ago when he was more just no tattoos and just uh martial artists but I don't know if he had like a midlife crisis or something and it just went all out getting these like the tat on his chest is crazy, and don't get me wrong. I love tattoos and stuff like that, but sometimes they're gnarly, and maybe it's an intimidation factor, who knows? I love it because I do like Danny's his his game, he's all about the fight, he loves to throw like elbows and just kicks and all that stuff. And Danny Danny Saint Denis is just is your typical military special forces ass kicking type of guy. So in this fight, the first round, Dan he was just the leg kicks that he was throwing, landing deep inside uh Saint Denis' um belly and stuff like that. It was it was it was painful. You could hear him landing, it was just so painful. Um and uh Saint Denis had recognized that you could see he dropped his arms slightly to kind of protect himself a little bit. Um but it would have just head down, charge into Dan Hooker and just throw some punches and start throwing. So uh Um, yeah, Dan was throwing the kicks early, um, heavy into the body, defending some wrestling that was coming from Saint Denis, because Saint Denis ran in, but as he ran in and started grappling and it went down, Dan threw in the guillotine, which he did a couple times from on Saint Denis as he did this, as he was coming at the head down and they went down to the ground, he'd throw the guillotine in. Um, but he never really got it in deep enough. Um, Saint Denis looked quite comfortable when he was down there, to be fair. Um, but he did look more like he wanted to grapple, he didn't want to be getting kicked repeatedly in the belly from those kicks that uh Hooker was doing because he was getting those toes right in there and it looked extremely pitiful. Um but yeah, they get caught up in the grappling, and while they was in the grapple, I'm trying to remember if the judo throw came first or the trip came first, but there was a part where there was there was grappling and Danny St. Denis just tripped Hooker, they just went down and he just got beat up a little bit. Um every time they was down there, Denis was he was aggressive, he was throwing the elbows onto him and just he was trying to hurt him. Um but there was also a judo throw that um I think he'd stepped down into the head kick uh that didn't it hit him, but it didn't rock him or anything like that, and then they get caught up into a bit of a grapple, and then Saint Denis got the judo throw that took him down, and as they went down, he I think he trapped his arm and was almost looking to get it into a Kamura. And as he was pulling on the Kamura, he just couldn't get it around the leg to uh get the pressure to apply well, which that was another thing in this fight. Dan Hooker was defending some ties. We'll get to that uh later. Well, not too much later, he'll we'll be coming up. Um but yeah, when he was it he oh, it was the judo throw and then the trip because it was the judo throw with the Kamura and everything like that. Um they got back up to their feet, and Saint Denis just the way he was throwing, just throwing like just haymakers almost, just wild. Um but it looks wild, but it was landing well, so it's like almost off beat in a way that kind of catch you up a little different. Um but yeah, they like as the um round was going on and Saint Denis was landing the elbows. Dan, I think he got split in the first round, or he was at least starting to look like he was bleeding. But then the round ends and into the second, there's a I think it was the second. Um and that's where no the no the trip, yeah. The trip was in the first, but in the second it was the same as the first, you know, Dan throwing some kicks, Saint Denis trying to get a hold of him, and then they went into a bit of a grapple again, and as Dan's gone in for the grapple, they've rolled his ended up in a pretty bad position on the floor to where Saint Denis could have gone for a triangle, but he was just dropping elbows down onto Dan Hooker and just surprisingly, I think he hit it with like five or six elbows, and not one of them cut Dan, which they should have, but um yeah, Dan took it. I think I can't remember how he got out of that position. Um, but he was taking a lot of damage. Um how did he get out of that? Lots of elbows doing the try arm triangle. I can't really remember how he got out of that. Maybe the round ended and he survived. Um, but then in like in was it the second nah? I think maybe it's the second is going for the arm triangle. And yeah, I can't actually remember how that went there. I do remember um Saint Denis getting Dan's back into an arm triangle. He was in an arm triangle. Right, yeah, yeah, yeah. He was he was landing the elbows and he kept working into the arm triangle. But Dan was pulling his arm down enough to get enough oxygen in so that obviously he can breathe enough to defend, but the elbows kept coming down, he cut his eyelid, uh started to bleed a bit, and he was he was trying to survive, he was really trying to defend and survive. Um, but Saint Denis just kept dropping elbows and then he'd keep squeezing and then he'd get a little more comfortable and squeeze a bit more and he just worked his way into a good arm triangle and he forced the um uh he f forced the ref to stop it because as he's squeezing and squeezing and dropping elbows, dropping elbows, it's like it's not defending anything, he's getting beaten up to hell. He needs to he needs to stop that fight. Um he just took so much damage that yeah, maybe the ref could have stopped that one a little sooner because it did look like that Saint Denis just had him trapped and was just dropping everything on top of him. Um But Saint Denis just looks fucking Oh, sorry for the language, but he looks fucking mean man, he's just like a savage, actual just savage. I look forward to his next fight because he does need to be careful the way that he like keeps dropping his head down and stuff like that. Because someone just throw that knee and that elbow up and he's gonna be in trouble. But um yeah, it's uh it's been that that was good too. That was um it's been a good car to be fair. Um for all the fights have been really good. Can't say any of them have been boring. I'd probably say the most boring was probably the tie to a Vaser fight, but that's just because the first two rounds was just a lot of tie trying to scrap and Texha grappling, um, and then the third round really popped off. But that's not me saying that fight was boring, I like grappling, but I'm just saying out of the fights on the card, that's probably at the bottom of them. So with that, that's that's uh that's leading us up right to the main one, the the big the big dog, the Alex Volkanovsky and Diego Lopez fight. The championship fighting for the belt fight number two. Volks won the first. And yeah, it was it was just a great performance by Volkanovsky. Uh, Diego Lopez had a really good fight as well, to be fair. But Volkanovsky is another level of fighter. That man is just amazing, he just looks so good, he's just so just professional and disciplined, and he is just a beast, Alex. Alex the great Volkanovsky. Oh man, he's he's a beast, he's just so good. Sorry, um, but he is, he's just so so good. Um, like throughout the whole fight, it's just constant pressure, great footwork, in throwing its kicks, like you're always in kicking range, steps in, starts throwing his punches, gets out of there, moving around, in, out, in, out, shaking it all about. It was just so so so so good. Um, really good kicks. Um, like for such a short man, he does so well, like he's just he's so good, he's just so good. Like the entries into his wrestling and his movement from in and out and side to side is just so so good. Um but it's not just an Alex Volkanovsky fight, Diego Lopez was there too, and he he was he was good, he had some good kicks throughout the f uh throughout the rounds. Um it looked as though maybe he was a little hesitant about Volkonovsky's wrestling because he was he was walking down Volkanovsky a lot, but it was almost like he didn't want to commit too much just in case Volkonovsky grabbed him and took him down. Um but it was it was good, there was some like back and forth strong leg kicks between them both. The um uh there was there's there was good moments for both fighters in their fight, like really good from both of them. Sorry. Um, but yeah, really, really good moments from both of them. Uh like I said, the leg kicks from both. There was a moment where they was both just kicking each other's legs, which it I love that that it's just fun to see. Um Volkonovsky with some nice uppercut on the on the way in, like stepping in with a little uppercut. Um and even with um like when Diego came towards him, I think he stepped back and through the uppercut, like the short one. Um good, good, good, good right hands. Like some of the right hands were spectacular. Um mainly from Volkanovsky, but there was moments in the fight where I think Lopez uh Volkanovsky was stepping in Um to throw some punches, and Lopez threw a uppercut as he was coming in and it dropped him, and that was um I think Volk's team told him that it was a slip, but they showed the replay and it was a definite uppercut from Lopez that dropped Alex Volkanovsky. Um but it was really like I said, the only moments that really got Volkanovsky was them. It was uh that that stepping in uppercut, and I think there was another one where was it a hook or something like that that did the same, but it didn't drop him or anything. But it was one of those where he's kind of recognized, like, oh I got caught. Maybe I need to uh maybe I need to watch myself, and and then then he goes in and just starts throwing punches. Um but yeah, um Yeah, there was uh good couple hands going down, like got taken down from a guillotine. This is uh Volkonowski getting taken down from a guillotine um defense, but then he was like back to his feet, and after he got back to his feet, Diego um Diego Lopez took his back, um almost looking to try and go for a red-neaker choke, but then he didn't have enough time. I think it was like 10-15 seconds. Uh so he ran out of time, unfortunately, for him in that round, because who knows when you have if the rounds continued on, you know, who who knows? But that's part of the fight, and it it round ends, you reset, you go again. But if the rounds just continued on, I think like Pride 15 minutes straight, and then who knows what would have happened there. It was still quite dry, it was still quite early. Vox probably would have survived because Brian Ortega had him in one of the craziest chokes ever, and he managed to survive that somehow. I think even Vokonosky thought he was beaten there, but his head popped out and he survived. Um, but in this one, yeah, um the round came to an end there, and then yeah, I can't remember which round that was, but like Volkanovsky's footwork was just so good. The way that he just moves around on his feet, it's like damn man, like he's always got control of the range, even if he's got punches coming his way, he's just out of range and he's able to cover up and guard himself quite well. Um but yeah, Diego Lopez, like I say, good some good as the fight went on, especially the kicks was the couple of the punches being there. Um but like yeah, like that round just coming to an end for him was was probably tough for him. Um but he got more active as it went on, looked like he was maybe getting a bit more comfortable as the fight went on, feeling like his locked in a bit if he was to have to grapple. Sorry, one second tickly throat's just not clearing. But there, yeah, so then um that's where he's like dropped Volks in the next round with that uppercut as he was stepping in, and but uh not long after that he took a kick in the groin, and it wasn't on purpose. Um Volkanovsky s I think he apologised two, three times straight away. Um and to be fair, Diego Lopez he didn't take too much time, I think he took about 30 seconds, so he was he was quick with it, it was just a quick ah yeah, that uh damn. Um but yeah, as he was moving on, like when Lopez was throwing first, he looks like or looked like he could cause Volks some damage, um, like kind of catching him off guard, but he just wasn't applying his pressure too much. I think like again, too hesitant of Volks wrestling, but um Volks, when he was landing some combos, he was getting like really into it. You could see it, like he was feeling it. The way it was connecting must have just felt so good in his hands because he was really, really enjoying it. It was such such a good fight. Um, but that's what it was. It was a lot of Volks controlling the angles, in and out, leg kicks, punches. Diego Lopez, the same, just not as clinical, not as controlling, just he needed to do more, he needed to maybe bite down on that mouth guard and just really start throwing. Um, to maybe just try and catch Vox because he did catch him and he did drop him, so why not just you know it's especially towards the fifth. You've already lost the first one. Like, come on, like start throwing and just let that let's see. Because in the fifth, like Volkanovsky, he looks so fresh. Like, if you're gonna beat Vox, you've gotta you've gotta be able to keep up and you've gotta be able to just start banging, start swinging and banging them. Um because the third, at the fifth, um, Vox was just so good, he was defending everything. Um he did get caught, but it didn't cause any damage. Um I think at the start of the round, Lopez hurt his foot or something, just throwing a body kick, and I think it um like glanced across the belly a little bit, so it might like hurt his toe or twisted his ankle or something, but he recovered well. It looked like it maybe a twinge, some not so much of an injury. Um but yeah, there was some good good wrestling in there. I'm pretty sure. Um in that one. He yeah, um they started grappling. Lopez took Volks back and he was trying to lock in a body triangle, but then Volkanovsky just reversed, got out of it. Uh really good jujitsu defense, and that's the difference. He was like just showing off his championship metal. He's just a beast, like he's just so good at his job, um, and he's just for the whole fight looked really, really good. He is there smiling in towards the end because they got caught in a bit of an awkward angle. Um, I think uh Lopez had Volks in an arm triangle or gone into a Kamora, yeah, it was the Kamora, and then they've kind of like done a bit of a roll and it's gone into an arm bar, and it was quite deep, and you know, again Volks just defended it really well and managed to get out of it, and then there was in a really awkward position. I think just basically Volkanovski just sat on um Lopez's face, but he's there smiling at the crowd, laughing, having a good time, and yeah, he just enjoyed it. Five rounds, 25 minutes, just having a great fight with a good opponent. Um he was definitely better than Lopez, but he did get caught with a couple things, which maybe he just needs to put a hand up when he's stepping in somewhere or or something, but who knows? It's different when you're in there, innit? But yeah, with that, it went the whole five rounds to the judges, but it was hands down Alex Vokinous win no matter what. Um, he definitely did everything in that fight. Well, I say he just got caught a couple times, which is unfortunate, but he will learn, even though I can't say learn, he's older than me, I think. 38. I'm 38. Is he 38? I'm not sure. Um, but it was a great fight. Um, great card, great fight. What can we say? Always a lot of fun to watch him, even like the early prelims and just every fight, just just watching professional fighting. That's the difference. When you're watching professional fighting, it's fun. Uh, not this street fighting business, there's no need for it. Put your gloves on and get in the ring. And with that, that's the fight. That's UFC 325 over and done with. Quick wrap-up, you know, not too long-winded or anything like that. Mainly because a couple of the fights were short, so couldn't really get too much out of it, unfortunately. But that's how it's gonna be sometimes. Some will be long, some will be short, some will be fun, some will be boring. That's just how it is. I'm just sitting there talking into this thing and hoping that you're listening. So, with that, enjoy the rest of your day, evening, night, and I will speak to you next time. If you enjoyed this episode of Scrap Notes, please consider liking and subscribing.
