Rise and Fix in 2026 is a  fortnightly leadership series focused on disciplined self-improvement through small, intentional actions that compound into lasting results.

The series is built on one principle: meaningful change comes from deliberate action, not intention alone.

Across 26 focused episodes, the series explores practical disciplines that strengthen leadership, sharpen thinking, and improve execution  from clarity and accountability to consistency, focus, and ownership. Each episode introduces a single action designed to be applied immediately. No complexity. No noise. Just clear thinking and disciplined follow-through.

This is not about transformation through motivation. It’s about progress through repetition.

Rise with intent. Fix what matters. And build results that last

Look out for my next installment in a fortnight - Rise and Fix 26

Rise and Fix Part 11. Hi, this is Pete and I hope you're all well. Rise and Fix in 26 is a fortnightly leadership series focused on discipline self-improvement through small intentional actions that compound into lasting results. This series is built on one principle: meaningful change comes from deliberate action, not intention alone. Across 26 focused episodes, the series explores practical disciplines that strengthen leadership, sharpen thinking, and improve execution from clarity and accountability to consistency, focus and ownership. Each episode introduces a single action designed to be applied immediately. No complexity, no noise, just clear thinking and disciplined follow-through. This is not about transformation through motivation, it's about progress through repetition. Rise with intent, fix what matters and build results that last. Episode 11 is all about keeping what grows me and release what drains me. Progress isn't just about what you add, it's also about what you remove. I keep what grows me and release what drains me. Time, energy, attention, they're all finite. If they're consumed by low volume activity, growth stalls. The discipline is in recognising what contributes and what depletes. Habits, environments, conversations, commitments, some move you forward, others quietly hold you back. Letting go is not loss, it's optimization. So keep what strengthens you and release what doesn't. That's how capacity is restored and progress accelerates. So several years ago, a senior manager at Australian consultancy firm I did work for found herself overwhelming by an ever-growing list of major responsibilities. She recognized that a team's energy was being sat by recurring unproductive meetings and outdated reporting practices. So after a careful audit of her own and a team's workload, she made the deliberate decision to eliminate low-value meetings and automate routine administrative tasks. Sounds simple, right? Very hard to do. But when she did it, this allowed her to redirect their focus towards strategic projects that fostered innovation and professional development. This shift not only improved morale but led to a noticeable increase in both productivity and staff engagement, exemplifying how letting go of what drains you can pave the way for renewed growth and capacity. I hope you like that. Next time I'll talk about training positivity daily. Last, if you enjoy these, please pass them on to your friends. I'm not looking for notoriety, just help shift the way everybody looks at the world and how they have the true power to make changes for themselves. So bye for now and speak to you soon.
