Hi this is peter and I hope you are all well.

Rise and Fix in 2026 is a  fortnightly leadership series focused on disciplined self-improvement through small, intentional actions that compound into lasting results.

The series is built on one principle: meaningful change comes from deliberate action, not intention alone.

Across 26 focused episodes, the series explores practical disciplines that strengthen leadership, sharpen thinking, and improve execution  from clarity and accountability to consistency, focus, and ownership. Each episode introduces a single action designed to be applied immediately. No complexity. No noise. Just clear thinking and disciplined follow-through.

This is not about transformation through motivation. It’s about progress through repetition.

Rise with intent. Fix what matters. And build results that last

Rise and Fix episode 16. Hi, this is Peter, and I hope you are all well. Rise and Fix in 2026 is a fortnightly leadership series focused on self-disciplined improvement through small intentional actions that compound interlasting results. The series is built on one principle: meaningful change comes from deliberate action, not intentional own. Across 26 focused episodes, the series explores practical disciplines that strengthen leadership, sharpen thinking, and improve execution from clarity and accountability to consistency, focus and ownership. In each episode, I introduce a single action designed to be applied immediately, no complexity, no noise, just clear thinking and disciplined follow-through. This is not about transformation through motivation, it's about progress through repetition. Rise with intent, fix what matters and build results that last. Let's talk about higher standards creating better outcomes. Standards determine results, raising expectations improves performance, behaviour, and outcomes. You don't rise to opportunity, you fall to your standards. Higher standards create better outcomes. Standards define what is acceptable and what is not. Raise them and performance follows. Lower them and outcomes decline. So the discipline is clear. Set the standard. Maintain it. Expect more. That's how better results are created. Now a good example of this is a story a friend of mine told me. Thanks, Nick. In a prominent Australian law firm, the managing partner noticed that deadlines were frequently missed and client feedback was lukewarm. Rather than reprimanding staff, she raised the firm standards. Every client communication had to be reviewed twice and all deadlines were to be met without exception. The shift was met with initial resistance, but over time the team adapted to the new expectations. As a result, client satisfaction soared, referrals increased, and the firm's reputation improved. This experience clearly demonstrated that by elevating standards, the outcomes for both the team and their clients were significantly enhanced. Next week I cover off how to manage your time and protect your energy. I hope you found these little snippets and podcasts useful, and if you have, please share them with your family and friends. Thanks for watching, thanks for listening, thanks for your time. Have a great day. Bye for now.
