Welcome back to another episode of Purpose Driven Success. I'm your host, Mo Salami, and for this episode, I'm going to do a full recap of the conversation I had with Julie. We're going to really dive deep into the transformative journey of Julie French. So who's Julie French? Julie French is a seasoned executive coach and co-founder of the Academy of High Achievers. Julie takes us through her powerful personal evolution from overcoming early feelings of inadequacy to becoming a trusted leader in the world of emotional intelligence and intentional relationships. This recap isn't just a summary, it's a distillation of key insights and actionable wisdom that Julie shares to help us better understand ourselves and others as well. Let's explore Julie's philosophy of connection, self-awareness, and emotional growth. So here are some insights from the episode. Insight number one is the power of beliefs and self-awareness. Julie explains that beliefs, whether they're empowering or limiting, are the driving forces behind how we show up in the world. So many people, even high achievers, carry an unconscious belief that they're not enough. But by intentionally examining our internal world, we unlock the power to challenge these beliefs and transform how we interact with others. So here's an actionable insight. Take a moment to examine your own beliefs. Are there any that are limiting you? What beliefs could you adopt that would empower you to become more connected and more successful in your relationships? That was insight number one, the power of beliefs and self-awareness. Insight number two, the power of emotional intelligence in relationships. As Julie reflects on her leadership experiences, she emphasizes the significance of emotional intelligence in both personal and professional relationships. Emotional intelligence is not just about self-awareness, but also about recognizing and adapting to the emotional needs of others. Julie's use of profiling tools such as disc and the pink bucket method illustrates how we can gain deeper insights into our natural biases and tendencies and the styles of those around us. The goal is to create a space where we better understand what others need to thrive. And what's the actionable insight? The actionable insight is next time that you feel frustrated in a relationship, try identifying the bucket that your thoughts are in. Are they in the helpful bucket, i.e. the pink bucket, or are they in the unhelpful bucket, i.e. the green bucket? Challenge yourself to shift your internal state towards positive reframing and watch how it changes the dynamic. That was insight number two, the importance of emotional intelligence in relationships. Insight number three is the power of intentional relationships. Julie underscores the value of building intentional relationships. It's not just about waiting for others to change, it's about taking ownership of the connection and improving the way that we show up. Whether you're dealing with a colleague, a manager, or a family member, asking the right questions and understanding the other person's needs is the key to fostering deeper, more meaningful connections. So what's the actionable insight? The actionable insight is identify one relationship that you want to improve. What would it look like if you had a magic wand? Then take ownership of the change that you want to see and approach the relationship with a brand new mindset. That was insight number three, the power of intentional relationships. Insight number four, moving from not enough to I am enough. Julie reflects on her own struggles with the feeling of inadequacy and how she eventually moved to a place of self-acceptance. Julie encourages everyone to reframe the inner dialogue and challenge the limiting thoughts that hold us back. By embracing our inherent worth, we set the foundation for richer, more fulfilling relationships. And what's the actionable insight? The actionable insight is practice the what if thinking technique. Instead of what if I'm not good enough? How about what if I'm better than I think I am? Start your day with this reframing and notice how your actions shift. That was insight number four, moving from not enough to I am enough. And I'll leave you with some closing thoughts.
